Being pushed by the unseen hands of the warm fragrant spring breeze and gliding across the pale blue heavens above were large, fluffy, and white clouds. Having awoken from its slumber that left the world in darkness, the sun had reached its peak after rising from from the east and emerged into the pale blue sky. Together in perfect harmony, the birds tweet and sing out in a lovely chorus forming a soothing, melodic tune. In the pale blue heavens above, a lone seagull flew swiftly across it with the warm eastern spring breeze blowing behind it. This was the scene unfolding around the citizens of Oak Town, a city of history. With a surplus of Ancient artifacts, ancient magic, and monuments to Great Wizards of the past, the city of Oak Town drew the attention of variety of individuals either seeking adventure or adventure. However, today it drew the attention of a certain youth who had aligned himself with the guild of fairies also known as Fairy Tail.

Adorned on the head of the youth who was in the middle of teenage years was a white silk top hat which possessed a brilliant blue ribbon that was wrapped around the base of the headwear. A white suit jacket, a pair white slacks, and a pair of white loafers complimented the white theme of attire that the youth was aiming for along with the long flowing white cape which was attached to the shoulders of the suit jacket. His shirt possessed the same brilliant blue as the ribbon which encircled the base of his top hat while his ribbon possessed a splendid red hue to it. This attire which the youth had spoke volumes about him with a glance for he was a entertainer, a performer of the art of magicless magic, who lived for the stage and the applause.

"Showtime! Time for my illustrious, awe-inspiring, and wonderful grand entry into world of mages with undertaking my first job as a member of the infamous and pleasantly entertaining guild known as Fairy Tail. Prepare yourself denizens of Oak Town for Lucas Blaine has arrived on the scene to solve your problems with style, with grace, with the Je-ne-sais-quoi factor that makes me simply amazing and alluring without even trying." Placing the rim of his white top hat in between his index and middle finger, Lucas took his hat off and gave the town a bow as was his tradition before performing any trick at his own shows. With that quick bow out of the way, the youth donned his top hat once more with a smile plastered across his teenage village and began to make his trek into Oak Town.

Lining the roads and sidewalks of the city of history, Oak Town, were tall trees that had sat dormant during the time which icy cold hands of winter held its firm grasp upon the land, but now spring held its warm embrace upon the land. Spring had caused the trees to awaken from their slumber. From the limbs of the dull brown trees, fresh green leaves and beautiful blooms shot out. It was on these sidewalks, Lucas made his way to his objective which was Chez Fran, a premier restaurant in Oak Town that was famous for its cuisine and its exclusive clientele. Chez Fran lied in the heart of Oak Town and this was the location where the job that Lucas had undertook was located. The job was the assist the workers at this resturant with the large banquet that they were catering at their location. Due to the esteem reputation of the restaurant, the number of guests exceeded their predications and now they were a few hands short. For some odd reason, they asked for a mage's assistance in the matter and now there Lucas was to assist in them in their time of need.

As ever flowing river time continued, eventually Lucas reached his destination which lied at the heart of Oak Town, Chez Fran. Looking forward toward his imminent goal, the sweet sound of songbirds reached his ears and brought a simple smile to his face as began to take in the sight of the scenery surrounding the restaurant. The sweet chorus of sound-birds came from the two trees that were in front of the restaurant which was constructed from dull red bricks and in front of the culinary establishment, a man who was no more than five feet in height stood barking orders at most ten individuals who dressed in the traditional maid and butler outfits that one would see at a cosplay cafe. "Incompetent bunch of swines! There are only six hours until the banquet and you all haven't even gotten the appetizers completed for the feast. The rich and powerful will be attending but you all... Failures all of you! What will happen to my restaurant?! Woe is me! Why must this happen on today of all days and the worthless wizards that were suppose to answer my job request still haven't appear. I spit on them and tardiness." The five foot tall individual stated before he spat at the sidewalk that was in front of his establishment.

"Why must I, Jean Alain, endure this on the most important day of my career as a restaurateur?" The older yet short man howled out a bit as he leaned his head backwards. The white chef hat that he adorn on top of his head moved back a bit before attempting to fall off. The blue eyes possessed by the youth who dubbed himself, The Ordinary Magician, bore witness to the man who referred to himself as Jean Alain and his mental breakdown or perhaps it would be better to refer to this as a temper tantrum from the stress of the situation and it now going as the short head chef had planned. Lucas tipped his hat a bit before making his trek across the street and approached the small crowd of people. "Salutations, my name is Lucas Blaine however most people refer to me as The Ordinary Magician. I have been sent from Fairy Tail to assist the staff of Chez Fran with preparations for the banquet that is taking place tonight." He stated as he gave a bow to the people who in front of him. "Fairy Tail?! You are late! You were suppose to be her-" The loud voice of the head chef began to speak up before he got a glimpse of the youth. "Apologies are in order, aren't they. Despite being my illustrious self, I have never been to this town so it took me quite a while to get here." Lucas stated with a smile. "Your... apology is accepted." A bright red blush had crept its way onto the visage of the short man.

"The head chef fell for another young boy huh?"
"Well he does have those beautiful blue eyes."
"And he is pretty handsome too for a young one."

"Silence, all of you! We don't have the time for all of you to brattling about this and that for we have many many preparations to complete before tonight's banquet. You, Fairy Tail Wizard." The head chef approached the teenage boy eying him completely as if he were sizing him up before he started to circle around him. The way the chef was circling around Lucas was similar to a predator like a tiger looking for the vital and vulnerable areas of potential prey before striking. It was then that the chef stopped behind Lucas and was out of the youth's line of sight. Then it occurred, Lucas felt something touch an area that was suppose to be off-limits. "H-Hey!" The youth turned around quickly from the shock. "Nice and firm. You are a lad in good shape so you will do nicely for the job at hand." The chef said laughing as he closed his eyes.

As the head chef closed his eyes, Lucas felt a shiver run up the length of his spine for he sense the thoughts flowing through his employer's head at the moment were less than savory and were about him too. Lucas felt his hand clench into a fist and the desire to punch him was strong at the moment before a sigh escaped his lips. He was Lucas Blaine after all and something like this was bound to happen sooner or later to him. He forced his smile to continue through the odd feeling of disgust before offering a bow. He was a performer, who practiced the under-appreciated art of magicless magic, and he had to keep his composure no matter the ordeal or the circumstances at hand. "I am glad you approve, head chef. I am sure that you must need me to lift some heavy boxes or move some items arounds, correct?" The youth forced the words out of his lips. "No, I enlisted the assistance of wizards like you to help us with the preparations for the meal. We don't have enough cooks for the event but we have enough general staff members that can help with that part."

"So why did you touch his rear head chef?"

A lone voice asked the million dollar or in this case jewel question that was plaguing the mind of every individual in the surrounding area. "Well... It looked firm and I wanted to touch it is all." It was at these words which were spoken by the head chef, Jean Alain, that every individual staff member of Chez Fran and Lucas included felt a sense of nothingness. Words couldn't describe how they felt so they just stood there silent and just waiting for something anything to break silence. The only things that could be heard was the sound of people off in the distance as the sound of the spring breeze simply blew. "Everyone?" The head chef spoke up once more to obtain their attention.

"On behalf of the Chez Fran Family, I apologize for you having to endure that, Fairy Tail Wizard."
"I am sorry someone so young had to deal with Jean's horrible behavior."

"Everyone... Wait! What are those looks for? Everyone!" The head chef exclaimed as everyone patted Lucas on the back before leading the teenage wizard into restaurant building. The blue eyes of the young wizard bore witness to the beauty of one of Fiore's most premier and illustrious restaurants, Chez Fran. The most simplistic method of describing the interior of the establishment was fancy. Despite the simplicity of the word, it was the most accurate way to describe the establishment known as Chez Fran for everything about it spoke of its clientele being the elite of the elite and the rich of the rich. Crystal chandeliers hang overhead and in the middle of the room was a water fountain. For a moment, the young magician questioned was he even in a restaurant anymore but the tables placed around the area.

"Wait! Fairy Tail Wizard." A familiar voice greeted the youth's ear as that familiar shiver ran up and down the length of his spine. "In my excitement, I, Jean Alain, forgot to speak to you about the details of your job. Yes, your job is to make the steamed buns for the banquet. I can tell you are you confused. First time cooking, yes? Well no need to worry, we have the recipe here and your very own apron. You see, the apron is a special magical tool which increases the cooking ability of all who wear as long as they have magical power coursing through their body. A marvelous tool for those who aren't good in the kitchen. My sous-chef will assist you with the first batch of steamed buns then it will be up to you make the rest of them. We need around one hundred of them." It was at the end part of official request of the head chef, Jean clapped his hands once more. "Natasha! Natasha! I need you to take our wizard friend here to kitchen."

"I hear you. I hear you. I got enough stuff to deal with at the moment and hearing you yell isn't making it any easier." A feminine voice spoke from the back before the double doors leading to the kitchen opened up wide revealing a dark-haired woman of a slim build. Her height was taller than the short head chef who only stood at five feet but she was still shorter than Lucas. She was around 5'2 to 5'4 in height. Her hair went down to her back as a sore scowl was plastered on her beautiful face. She wiggled her finger signaling for the wizard to meet her at the door. "I ain't walking all the way over there boy, so make your way over here in the kitchen. You will hear everything once so make sure you get memorized. My name is Natasha, second-in-command here at Chez Fran. Got it memorized? Good." She didn't wait for a response from Lucas before heading back into the kitchen. "Natasha is a bit strict, but you won't meet a chef who can't match her skills in the kitchen just make sure you don't piss her off. I lost a few good men who upset her... well they aren't men anymore."

"Wait what is that suppose to mean?!" For a moment, Lucas lost his composure at hearing the final words which escaped the lips of the head chef. A few of the surrounding staff members, in this particular case men, closed their legs. "Let's just say... the sausages in the kitchen aren't the only ones that get chopped up. Okay? Well you are in good hands and I am sure you will leave with every part of you that you came in with. Ahahaha."

What kind of job was this?! It had gone from a simple job of just cooking to dealing with perverts who wanted to grope him and now crazy chefs who would remove his manhood. Was this what the jobs that wizards undertook were like. But he couldn't give into fear and slowly walked into the kitchen where he saw chefs running around gathering ingredients and filling up various trays with finished cooked projects. "You kept me waiting, boy." The familiar voice of Natasha reached Lucas before he looked over in the direction which the voice had come from. Lucas' eye witnessed a scene that unnerved him as Natasha had a knife in her hand and was chopping the head off off a fish. With a single blow, the head of the fish came off. "Sausages in the kitchen aren't the only one that get chopped up." Those words rang through his head.

"Come over here! No dilly-dallying!" She said again. At those words which escaped the lips of the sous-chef, Lucas sprang into action hurrying over to her station. "Someone take over from here, we are baking the halibut with a light bread crust. Make sure to use an egg wash and the bread mixture has a little bit of lemon zest in it as well. Now, boy. I will show you to your station and how to make the steamed buns." She grabbed Lucas' by the wrist and dragged him off to the station where he would be working at for the duration of his job.

"You will be cooking and finishing the preparations on the buns, boy." She said again and Lucas couldn't take it anymore for he had never been a fan of being called boy. "My name is Lucas Blaine. I would prefer if you would call me by my name." He said lowly. "What was that? Are you mouthing off to me, boy?" The woman replied. "My name is Lucas Blaine, the ordinary magician, I am a wizard from Fairy Tail and you will address me by that, Sous-chef Natasha!" Lucas stated. He was from Fairy Tail. The rules of his guild was not to take any trash talk from anyone even though he wasn't sure if this actually trash talk or not but he wasn't going to allow it either way to continue.

"Hmph. You got to have some brass balls to talk to me that kind of way... Lucas was it? Got to admire a man who sticks up for himself. I get pissed off at the weaklings who won't stand up for themselves here or are incompetent. I will address you by the name you wish, but make sure you do what I say nonetheless. This is Chez Franz and I am in the one in charge of you, don't forget that. Now to your assignment."

Time passed as Natasha went into detail about what Lucas was to do in the kitchen and how to prepare the dish he was charge of making. He was to mix yeast, warm water, sugar, flour, into a bowl. Waiting a bit of time before, he was to add more flour and sugar then add salt and vegetable oil before letting the dough rise. Once the dough had risen, he was knead it out and let it rise again. The process of preparation was time-consuming and required an immense amount of patience. The cooking process itself was simplistic for he simply had to boil water in a wok before putting a rack over it. He was to then cover the top of it to let the steam cook it. Lucas made sure to follow the steps that Natasha had laid out for him in extreme detail. Hours and hours passed by until finally he had produced one-hundred and one steam buns.

"So they are done?" A voice spoke from behind him and he realized Natasha had finally come back to check on his progress after all of this time. "Let's see." She grabbed the extra bun and took a bit of it. "Light. Fluffy. Sweet but not too sweet. Perfect." She smiled for the first time before patting Lucas on the back. "Good job! Fairy Tail Wizard, huh? Well you made all of the buns, but I don't think just a bit of jewel is good enough to reward you for this kind of job. You know what? Jean and I are going to be mingling with the people who are coming for the banquet and just your luck I need a date."

"Wait what?!" Lucas finished as his job was now completed and he suddenly had to go on a date with the crazy sous-chef of Chez Fran. Was all of his jobs going to be this crazy? Well he had no idea but he would admit, that being a wizard was interesting.
