Research Assistant (mission/private)

Savage Skull had called on Kaiser's talents once again. Unfortunately, it was a small task. He was given the responsibility of exploring some old dark mage ruins in the Corrupt Tower and bring back anything useful. Kaiser thought this was below him, but his guild master kept promising more power as long as he obeyed and did missions. That curiosity kept Kaiser going. He walked up to the front door and the tall tower and kicked down the door.

As soon as the dorm slammed the ground the torches lining the wall lit up one after another dispersing the darkness in the air. "How nice, they have the courtesy to welcome me." Kaiser whispered to himself. The place was really run down. It had the look of a huge dining hall. The tables and chairs were all worn down and rotted away. Cobwebs strung from the wall and rats ran across the floor. Yet Kaiser still sensed some magic in this place. He followed the source of the magic to a staircase that led him down to the basement.

The basement torches lit up as Kaiser approached just like upstairs. The basement had a horrific sight. Bodies cut open and littered across tables. Vials with strange liquids and tubes connecting to their bodies were on each of them. The smell was unreal. "What the hell is this?" Kaiser thought. Still, the magic source he was tracking led him deeper and deeper. He looked through the tables and drawers but couldn't find anything useful. Just old tools and worn out paper. Nothing magic. Kaiser was starting to become impatient and needed a way to blow off some steam. He picked up one of the dead bodies. "Yo, where are all the dark mage artifacts?" he pointlessly asked. Black magic energy formed in his hand hands as he tossed the body against the wall and it exploded on impact. "Guess this place is worthless after all." Kaiser said.

Just as he was about to leave, the magic energy floating in the air grew stronger and stronger. Kaiser turned back and saw a hole in the wall where he blew up the dead body. He saw that behind the wall their was a secret pathway. "Well what do we have here." Kaiser said as he walked over to it. He entered the secret pathway as the magic source just kept getting stronger and stronger. This had to be the right way. After a minute of walking, Kaiser had reached the end of the path. A scroll giving off a red and black aura was sitting in the hands of a god statue. Kaiser reached out to grab it.

A heat emitted from the scroll as his hand got closer. Suddenly, a clanking of mechanics filled the air. Two axes from the walls shot forward at Kaiser's waist. Kaiser quickly reacted by jumping up and landing on the axes as they clashed together with a violent sound. Kaiser looked up to see the god statue with red eyes. The eyes then fired out a fireball headed straight for him. Kaiser was not prepared for it was knocked back by it. The shirt had been burnt off his body and he had minor burns on his chest.

"How fucking annoying." Kaiser though clutching his chest. The god statues eyes went dark and the axes retracted. "I guess I will just have to do it faster." Kaiser thought. He channeled black light magic energy into his entire body. "Holy Fervor!" he shouted. His speed had been increased as he quickly jumped up and grabbed the scroll before the axes could react. His curiosity got the better of him as he checked the scroll seeing what all this trouble was for. As he opened and read it, a smile just ran across his face. The contents were much better than expected. "Maybe this guild will be worth it after all" he said as he headed back to Savage Skull.
