Ivy was walking through the immensly hot sand. The sand was burning her feet to the point of blistering, but with Ivy's pain tolerance so high and the fact the blisters healed up so quickly neither the heat not the hot sand bothered her. What bothered Ivy was the job she was taking. She had to walk super long to get to a place and recover some lacrimas, for the people of Era or something like that. She had to fight a bunch of thieves and to top it off she knew that fighting the boss would be a mess. He had way too many powers as the flyer that she read in Rose Garden had said, with telekinesis and all it is like being able to do anything. You can whip up sandstorms, throw his weapons, throw the air, propel himself forward and do all kinds of tricks.
Ivy kicked some sand. "It isn't fair!" Ivy said. She grinned however, because everyone but the boss would be easy peasy. They are either really weak, they use blinding effects or use wind magic along with fire magic. If they're weak then they're weak, Ivy can see without seeing, and wind magic is useless to her! The only thing that would possibly prove a threat to her and her partner would be the fire magic as long as Ivy was there.
And then there was her partner. On the flyer it said that there was already one person registered for the job. It was a D Ranked mage who required the assistance of a C Rank or higher one. Ivy didn't like having to hold the hand of someone else, but for a job it was fine. Speaking of her partner... Ivy's partner was late. This person took the time to register before a C Ranked wizard was registered, but can't bother to show up on time. Her loss, Ivy thought as she began trotting towards their job location.
