Glaring through the eyes of her anbu mask,
Famine hopped down to a terrace jutting awkwardly from out of the building the next floor down, bare heels making contact with the cold stone surface. Mounting the landings rain with the pads of her feet she balanced at a crouch before leaping to the next balcony down then the next so on so forth.
She touched back down to the street. Regardless of the hour, there were still groups loitering about the roads of Rose Garden. Famine struggled to get the most out of her reading with other people chattering and being loud in the background. She padded down the road, her tome drifting off into the air in front, she didnt care if it was dangerous to read as she walked like this. The tattooed mage shoulder checked a few people right off the bat. She didnt exchange a glance...
Then the mage met and stepped through the gates of her destonation, Rose Grden Park. The pages of the book fliped as it glew and floated at her side, following her lead. The path turned to dirt and grass once she was wandering about inside the small park area. The trail lamps had gone dim. The place was lifeless and once Famine stepped in only more life was do to wilt away.
Every living thing witin range began to wither and die as if she had unbolted the power of Zeref himself. Trees blackened. Color decayed from their thinning trunks, demoted to weak stems of their former selves. The green brush which had grown between the cages of tree branches gave way into the night breeze all at once, leaves browning, and then blackening until they crumbled to dust. The grass at either sides of the path curled in on its self, suffocated of life, browning over and dissolving into the ground in an instant. It wasnt that the girl didnt notice... this had happened enouh times for her to stop caring. Instead she followed through with her tasks.
Famine Moved towards the fountain in the center of the park as her eyes glancing over at the pages, studying the scriptures and language.
With a strained breath, he sighed as she stared into the fountaining pool. The glassy surface refracted the moonlight above perfectly, the glow bouncing within the waves of the fountain. She searched until she found a coin. To be honest she was broke and didn’t even know how many more of these she had. But here went nothing. With a flick of her thumb she sent the Jewel coin twirling through the air till it broke the surface of the water with a splash, the liquid rippling into circles from where it touched down. She didn’t have anything to wish for in that moment but it was the thought that counted. Maybe she’d acquire good luck or something… everything in rose garden was magic powered after all. Perhaps the fountains were as well?
