Job; Sparkling Dirt [Nikolai - Solo]

Nikolai entered the Holy Castle, his eyes still wide from the sight outside. It truly gave the impression of radiance and beauty. Nikolai wasn't a religious man, but he could definitely understand why people who were would see this as a holy place. He looks around the inside, a small smile across his face. It truly was a place of beauty. He'd love to meditate in here some time, maybe he could afte-


Nikolai saw it now, the reason for his mission. He had a personal reason for taking this one specifically for his first mission. Dirt. Nikolai tried not to be a stringy man, he tried to understand all of the different reasons behind things in life. There was one thing he could never accept- No, comprehend; Dirt. How could anyone allow it? It was disgusting, so easy to clean and take care of, made everything look so much better. He could see the spots around the castle, even in the entrance hall. Steeling himself, he tried to find his employer.

He spotted a man in a white robe sitting near a large door, reading from a book. Nikolai walked over to him, coughing slightly to get his attention. The man snapped up, looking at Nikolai with a question face. Nikolai smiled at the man, giving him a small nod of recognition. "Good day. I'm Nikolai Granit, I'm here about the job." The man seemed to recognize, standing up and extending a hand to Nikolai. "Oh yes, the Bishop mentioned you'd be coming. He left me to make sure everything was taken are of. As you can see, there is some dirt around the hall that's been randomly showing up. We've seen a few creatures hiding in the halls, just beyond this door. If you could take care of them, I have the reward for you. I'll wait here for your return." Nikolai nodded, taking the man's hand as he spoke. He moved towards the door, opening it and giving the man a smile. "Alright, wish me luck then." He closed the door behind him as he left.

Nikolai walked through the hall, looking for any signs of life or movement. So far, he couldn't find anything conclusive, at least, anything that gave him signs to the dirt. He sighed; this was a low ranked mission, he assumed it wouldn't be very time consuming. "Guess it was a little fool-hearty to assume I'd be in and out of hear that fast." As he walked down the hall, he found his first sign; Dirt. He resisted all attempts to stop and clean it, looking for any more signs.

As he walked farther down, he saw more and more dirt spots, feeling his irritation grow with every spot. He'd find whoever did this, and make them pay. He approached a turn in the hall, splitting off to the left and right. He looked to either side, trying to figure out which way would be best. Spying something out of the corner of his eye to the right, he moved towards it, running full speed at the source. "I'm gonna get you, you dirty, dirty.... whatever you are." Nikolai stopped, cornering the creature at the end of the hall.

'Monster Dice' :

Nikolai starred the beast down, a short, brown, tusked... troll like creature? Regardless, the area around it was covered in dust, so clearly it was the source. He stood about 5 meter's away from the creature, who's back was to the end of the hall. His nose snarled up in irritation, looking down at the smiling creature. "So, you're the source of this.... mess. Well, I hope you're ready to deal with the repercussions of disgracing this hallowed place." The creature continued to smile, letting out what Nikolai was assuming to be a giggle, that sounded more like it was choking.

Nikolai reached into his satchel, pulling out a small metal pole. He closed his eyes, summoning his metal. In a circle around him, a small pile of scrap metal appeared at his feet. The creature looked up at him with a confused look, or as much of it could give through it's grin. Nikolai reached into his shirt pocket, pulling out his glasses. He placed them on, his eyes starting to dim, as f they lost their spark. The focuses on his harness started to glow, the metal starting to float around him. He looked at the creature with a cold expression. "Let's go."

About half of the metal shaped itself before him, forming a pair of giant metal fists. He adjusted himself into a combat stance, the metal hands mocking the movement of his. Holding this pose for a minute, he took a breath, exhaling the suddenly taking a swing at the air with his right hand, the metal right hand flying forward and mimicking the swing, attempting to take a shot at the creature.

Nikolai's swing hit the unprepared creature full on, slamming into it and sending it at the back wall. Nikolai returned the fist immediately, holding it up in a guard-like stance with the other. The creature recovered quickly, letting out a loud snarl. It came came running at him, a magic circle appearing as it casted a spell. Dirt came flying around Nikolai and the ground around him, covering most of the floor. Nikolai's fists managed to prevent most of the dirt from getting on him. The creature seemed to be planning to making his footing insecure, not a very effective measure against him.

Nikolai moved the rest of the unused metal towards his feet, making a pair of metal boots surround his legs. He charged towards the creature as it charged towards him, taking a swing with the left fist, keeping the right in a guard. His boots steadied him, securing his footing and preventing him from slipping on the dirt.

Nikolai's swing hit the creature once more, hitting it from the side at it's arm. The creature wasn't moved this time, seeming to take the blow quite well. It continued it's charge towards him, preparing for a strike. Nikolai stopped when he realized he hadn't stopped it's charge, steadying himself in an attempt to guard with the remaining fist. The creature leaped, attempted to punch him. Nikolai raised his right arm and pulled it back, bringing the fist back in time to block the creature and it's attack. He pushed back with the right fist, pushing the midair creature back towards the wall in a heap.

From the hall he cam from before, Nikolai heard the sound of running, though not heavy enough to be human. It had to be friends of the creature, alerted by it's previous snarl. He'd have to deal with more of them now, and he'd be sandwiched in. The best idea would be to focus on the creature that was still left and stop it. Realizing his Augmentation; Fist was about to expire, Nikolai swung both fists at the creature, attempt to hit it before it got back up. He activated his Command; Shockwave, destroying fists and sending the metal flying at the creature with  a series of powerful shockwaves.

The creature recovered faster than Nikolai expected, raising both arms and taking the brunt of the explosion, deflecting the few pieces of metal that flew at it. As Nikolai began to recall the metal to him, two more creatures came out from the hall he was just in, turning and charging at him. One was the same as what he faced, the other was a smaller version, with a large bag of dust behind it. The large one reached Nikolai in time for an attack, taking a swing at him.

Nikolai thought for a moment. "The metal from fist won't make it here in time to be of use. Moving metal from boots is the best solution." Nikolai moved the metal from boots towards the attacker, using the spell Create; Wall. The metal shifted from Nikolai's legs to the air between him and the attacker, forming together to make a wall of metal. The creature's attack pounded into the wall, unable to break through it. Nikolai pushed the wall forward as the creature attacked, pushing it back towards the ground. Nikolai not in a good spot, forced to deal with three opponents on either side of him. One would need to recover, but it was still a threat.

As soon as the metal from fist returned to him, Nikolai began to think. He had to re-adjust the situation to one more in his favor. "I need to get out the sandwich and put some distance between us. If I wait for the two of them to attack, I can most likely dodge and move behind the two, standing in the hall's split." Deciding upon this plan, Nikolai waiting for the recovered creature and the smaller one to attack, which they both did. The smaller one swung at Nikolai with the dust bag, dust flying out of it in the air, while the larger one ran at him and attempted to grab his leg. Just a both were about to make contact, Nikolai broke the wall and jumped back, dodging both attacks. He took the chance as they recovered from the dodge and ran past the two behind him, stopping in the hall's split.

As he got past the two, the larger one that he had blocked with wall recovered, turning and snarling at him. The smaller one and the farthest one re-grouped with it, all three staring at him angrily. Nikolai prepared for the counter attack, remaking his fists. As soon as both were formed, he took two swings, swinging at the injured one and the smaller one. The three ran at him as well, going for the attack.

Nikolai's fists flew at the two creatures, both of them raising their arms and taking the attack. While it slowed them down for a second, the pair quickly rejoined the third, all three going for Nikolai's feet. Realizing this, he moved the rest of his metal to his feet, recreating his boots to block the damage. The boots formed quicker than the creatures attacked. The larger two took a bunch at his feet, but Nikolai felt no major damage from it. The third swung with his dirt sack, spreading more at dust in the air. Nikolai attempted to kick them in response, but the all moved back, both parties once more at a standoff.

Nikolai returned his fists to his side, thinking for a moment. "My best option is to wait for them to attack again, it's harder for them to dodge when their running. If I do that, I won't have my fists in time to guard. Be readied to make wall." As he thought, the smaller one ran at him, as did the injured one. The larger one stayed back though, casting more magic and sending dirt flying at the area around him and him. He had used boots to avoid the previous ones attempts, but now if he makes wall he won't ave boots to move over it, so he'd have to watch his footing.

Nikolai's attacks both went directly at the creatures, who blocked with a guard. Continuing their attack, Nikolai had to make a choice; he could make wall, cancelling both fists and boots, and use it to block them, or he could keep the soon ending fist in the air above all three for a counter-attack shockwave. If he did that, he could try and at least guard one attack with his leg, but he wouldn't be able to get both. Deciding that getting another attack was worth the damage, Nikolai shifted his stance, preparing to block one of the incoming attacks.

The creatures jumped at him, both attempting to attack above his boots. Nikolai noticed the smaller one seemed off, moving his leg to block the larger one's small jump. Going for a kick, he hit the creature back, landing next to the one who had casted the magic. He was correct about the smaller one, who's sack weight threw him off and caused him to fly past Nikolai.

Nikolai readied the counter attack, exploding the fists in the air above the larger pair with Command; Shockwave. As soon as the fist exploded, Nikolai turned to face the smaller one of the ground, who was attempting to recover from his spill and get up, and went for a kick.

As Nikolai's fist exploded, the uninjured large creature ran forward to attack, dodging the explosion and metal. The injured one, unable to recover and dodge the explosion, took the full force of it, collapsing in defeat. Nikolai's kick against the smaller one was successful, this one too unable to recover in time to dodge. The creature rolled forward, colliding with the wall to the side of Nikolai. He turned, looking to see the result of shockwave. Seeing that it has finally taken down the first one, he nodded in recognition. Preparing for the second one's attack, he attempted to dodging, trying to keep his footing while he moved through the dirt.

Luckily, he did keep his footing, dodging the creature as it swung at him, falling face first into it's own dirt. Nikolai recalled his metal to him, preparing to face the now recovered smaller one, who came swinging at him. He knew it'd be an easy dodge, but with all the dirt around him, he didn't know if he could keep his footing to do it.

Nikolai correctly predicted the attack of the small creature, who aimed at his legs. Returning the attack with a kick, he knock it back before the bag could make contact with his leg. The creature stumbled back, landing next to the one in the dirt. The one from the dirt emerged, readying itself for another attack. Nikolai did so as well, reading his hands in a guard.

He created his fists again, mimicking his guarded stance in front of him. The creatures didn't charge at him, instead watching him. The larger one channeled more magic, throwing more dirt at him and the area around him. The smaller one mimicked him, spreading dust from his bag in the area. If they weren't on the offensive, he could attack without direct worry. Not blocking the dirt would guarantee he'd slip if he walked normally, but he could make boots if he needed to move. He swung at the creatures with both fists, flying at them from above.

Nikolai's attacks where both ineffective. The smaller one ran at him to attack, causing Nikolai's attack to miss completely.The other attack was blocked by the larger creature, raising both arms to stop the fist. Nikolai returned the fists to him as fast as possible, taking a moment to analyze the situation. "With all of this dirt around, neither them nor I can block on the run. I'll need to keep myself in place, not letting  it affect me. One is already attack, if I can hit it now I can probably take it down. If the other does as well, I can knock it off it's feet."

Almost as soon as he thought that, the second one joined the first one in an attack. Both ran through the dirt at Nikolai, aiming for his legs. A plan forming in his head, Nikolai made his boots for not only blocking, but attacking. He swung his fists at both creatures from the side, hoping to land the hits.

Nikolai's attack against the larger one hit, sending it flying back and off it's feet. Perfect. The one against the smaller creature failed to hit, it running faster than Nikolai expected in the dirt. The creature reached towards him and jumped, smacking him in the leg with it's sack. The blow wasn't very heavy at all, more annoying. When the creature landed, he kicked it, not enough to do any damage, but sent it back towards the other one, currently face first in dirt. This one wasn't in any bad position however, and could return an attack instantly.

Nikolai thought to himself, trying to develop a strategy. "One is down, an easy target. The other is still in the dirt, and can't guard properly. Fists is about to end, Shockwave should come now. In their current position, I can hit both. If I do, it'll stun the large one more, giving the chance to attack once more." Deciding on the plan, Nikolai moved the fists above the pair, detonating the shockwave above the pair.
