Finding the Truth || Kari and Talen's B rank exam

Kariline turned back to see Talen talking to his summon. The spirit was a interesting looking character, and he was sure powerful with the wine he so generously passed around. She tilted her head and took a couple of steps closer to the couple just as the summon had passed Talen the rather large wine glass. She furrowed her brows, they didn't have time for a drink?!
Kariline had walked away from the door to usher on her companions when the spirit had disappeared. She was stunned and looked rather confused as Talen walked towards her.

He brushed past her straight for the door, as he passed, Kariline could smell the strong scent of alcohol. Oh dear... She remembered the first job that Talen and Kari had ever been on. Right in the middle of the fight, he decided to summon Medusa, who not only froze the Thieves, but Talen as well!
She was curious as to if they had a similar contract.

He had scanned through the halfway open door when Kari had come up behind him. " Talen... Are you drunk??" She said with a slightly aggravated tone. this was the worst of times. She sighed as she moved past him into the factory like room. It opened up a great deal, and there was pipelines, squealing steam and moving parts all around.

At least their movements would be hidden. As long as they were not in such an open area. They had to blend in a little better. And what better way then to wear the proper uniform. She smiled slightly as she looked around, there had to be a guards room with access to leftover uniforms around here somewhere. " We need to find a disguise. This is too open of an area and we are bound to get spotted."

She looked ahead to find a door with a " Employee's" written on it, but there was a few people going in.... They were sure to come out at some point... This was the perfect opportunity. "Talen, you better get it together, because we have to ambush some individuals.." she said with a grin as she tried to quietly walk down the hall, staying close to the pipe's, which were scolding hot. Kari could easily feel the warmth coming off of them.

They neared the room, and she could hear voices coming through the door. They were talking about their home lives. Their wives. She furrowed her brows and frowned again. While they were bad guys, they still had families and normal ways of thinking. this is just how they were taught. Kari sighed and burst through the door. " Drop your weapons and uniforms and we wont hurt you." the mean gasped and reached for their belts, but stopped as they looked at the woman in front of them.

When Kariline came up behind Talen and asked if he was drunk, the summoner nodded, adding in a quiet voice, "My contract with Dionysus says that I have to have a drink before he returns to the spirit world. I didn't have a choice. Besides," he added in a lighter tone, "I'm more buzzed then drunk."

Talen gave his head a shake to try and clear it as he followed Kariline into the factory. The summoner could not help it as he looked around in amazement at all of the moving parts around him. The gears spinning, steam hissing out of pipes, and wering motors were all so strange the mage, even when Lamia Scale had a member who used technology instead of magic, he never saw her use anything like the things in the room.

Talen made sure to follow close behind Kariline, so they would not get separated in the enormous room.  Talen heard Kariline mention something about disguises, and he nodded in agreement, as they were they stuck out like sore thumbs. Soon Kariline lead them to a door with the word "Employee" over it in large block letters. She said that they were going to ambush the whoever was inside the room. He nodded in understanding before placing a hand to the hammer at his waist.

When Kariline busted into the room, Talen raised Titan's Hammer, ready to fight. At first both sides just stared at each other, neither side wanting to act first. Talen saw one of the men of the group start to slowly reach for the tools at his waist. Talen sprang forward, swinging his hammer in a downward arc at man, hitting his arm just below the shoulder. The man cried out in pain, droping to the ground, holding the spot where Talen had hit his arm. Talen was about to turn to the next person in the room when he remembered that they were trying to be stealthy. The summoner slammed the hammer into the side of the unfortunate man's head, knocking him out.

Talen spun around ready to engage the next target, when he felt a sharp pain on the back of his head. Seeing stars, Talen turned around, looking for who had hit him. It was another of the workers. Talen had not seem the man walk up behind him and hit him in the head with some sort of large tool. Talen could feel warm blood trickling down the back of his head, but he did his best to block out the pain.

The summoner tried to lunge forward and attack the worker, but either due to the blow to his head or Dionysus's wine, he missed completely, landing on the ground in a heap. Talen silently cursed himself for being so reckless, if they were caught now, all that they had done so for would mean nothing. With an effort Talen managed to raise himself to a crouch, Titan's Hammer clenched in his fist.

Talen saw nothing but a blur of movement as he stood, then the thud of a body hitting the ground. The summoner looked to the standing figure, and after a moment, he saw that it was Kariline. With a sigh he stood and looked at his teammate.

Talen nodded somewhat solemnly when Kariline called him reckless. She is right, Talen thought to himself, I need to be more careful. Out loud, he said, "Sorry Kariline, I'll try and play it safer." The last thing he wanted was another incident like when he lost control after Medusa was hurt and they were captured, especially since that had just escaped.

Talen put a hand to the back of his head, feeling the warm blood on his fingers. Wiping his hand on his pants, Talen looked around the room that the two found themselves in. It was a rather plain room, it did not have the mechanical marvels of the main space outside the doors, there was a medium size table in the far right corner of the room, a set of doors with a sign reading "Bathroom" over it, there was also a kitchenette in the corner opposite of the table with two rows of cabinets. "This must be some kind of employee area," Talen said after looking around the room, "They probably have some spare uniforms in here somewhere, we could use them to help us blend in better."

Talen started to look in the room, checking inside of draws, in the counter and even in the bathroom. After a few minuets, Talen found a few spare uniforms. Talen took a few of the uniforms and returned to Kariline with his arms full of cloths. "Well I found these," Talen said placing them on the table. He looked thought the assorted sizes and found a set of clothing that was about his size.

"I'll be right back," Talen said as he gathered up some and stepped into the bathroom. Quickly Talen changed out of his normal cloths and swapped them for the ill fitting uniform. The shirt was to short and the pants to baggy, but it should be good enough for now. He quickly changed and stepped out of the bathroom, adjusting the cloths as he walked. "Its a bad fit, but it should work for now." Talen put his keys into one of the pant pockets then took one of the weapons from one of the unconscious men.

"Well, how does it look?" Talen asked, spreading his arms wide.
