Aedre was about to proceed and attack the last man left as her opponent, but apparently, the battle was yet far from over. About eight men crawled into the place from different entrances, their arms ready with all sorts of weapon that Aedre and Sinali had already encountered before. This job was surely getting too generic. It seemed as if their opponents were the same wave, coming in again and again and being a pain in the neck.
The swords in Aedre's hands disappeared into thin air, as her blue eyes tightened when she concentrated on the number of people that she now had to take care of.
There was a loud bang of a shot, as a bullet cut the air right beside her, but missed due to a bad aim by the shooter. The usual sly smirk graced the woman's lips, while she curled her right hand into a fist and placed it on top of her open left palm; a stance that is generally associated with Make-mages. A second later, a colossal amount of hot steam would spill forth from between her fingers, enveloping the entire area in a light blue colored mist.
The temperature in the ruins would go a mite above the normal and the men's vision would be in near disarray due to the fact that the mist was thick enough to not let them see even their own hands. The grip on their guns would probably end up slippery due to the water condensing and some of them simply started shouting out curses or asking their comrades for some sort of help out of this situation. Losing sight even for a short while, terrified the life's out of humans- the sense of vision was just that important, especially so if you were a creature of action; a fighter.
Suddenly, a sound similar to water falling into a deep pit could be heard, as three arm-like structures made of water will grab hold of six men and exert a great amount of power on their bodies, almost crushing their bones in the process. As this happened, four spheres of water would take birth around the remaining two men and then burst with a great explosion, thus sending them crashing onto the ground. A sword-like structure would have collapsed on the treasure hunter by then, who was trying to run away before- thus flattening him onto the ground and sending him into a state of unconsciousness.

Sinali used the moment of distraction provided by Aedre to sneak round behind a pillar where she stood silently waiting for her body to heal. It would still be a while due to the damage that had been caused by the crystal make user, but she had no choice. Well, she did. She could probably still fight quite well like this, but there was no point against such weak foes. They would just bore her too easily. Sadly, Perry was now back in her normal state. It had happened quite recently whilst she had been fighting the crystal knights. However, Perry did not let this go to her disadvantage. Instead she had crawled up onto the ceiling and clattered away almost silently to further explore the ruins. They had defeated what seemed like a leader-like figure to the men which was perhaps why they were fighting with such anger and ferocity.

Still to Aedre they were no more than sword practise. She was a powerful slayer mage and more than that she was a powerful fighter even without magic. Sinali had seen the power that the woman possessed. She would be a difficult opponent to face in the future. Yes, Sinali thought of her an opponent. She was an ally for now, but one day all living things would die by her hand. Her plans were already in motion though the process was slow. All she needed was time and as an undead she had plenty of it for she didn't age. She was essentially immortal unless her brain was destroyed.

"Enjoy your playtime Splashy." Sinali whispered and reached out with her mind using telepathy to Perry. So far she had found nothing, but she was getting deeper into the ruins. It was possible that she might find the treasure before Aedre was even finished. It was unlikely, but it was possible.

The grip on the six men's bodies would grow to an immense amount of force, as they nearly felt their rib cages cracking into pieces- but no, Aedre wasn't the one to submit to such kind of torture for her opponents. She used a much quicker way of ending, for there was no kind of satisfaction that topped the one that you get once your enemies are finished once and for all.
Torturing and granting pain seemed like a simple waste of time and honestly, the faster this job would be finished, the faster Aedre will be set at rest.
"Enjoy your playtime Splashy." She heard Sinali's whisper, reaching cleanly up to her due to the enhanced senses.
"Of course, my dear. I don't plan on wasting this sweet-little opportunity anyways." She replied, her smirk darkening into a twisted version; as the pinkette bent a bit low.
She proceeded to rest one of her knees on the floor, while the other foot stood firmly against the ground; thus keeping perfect balance. At the same time, the fingers of her hand were pressed beneath- causing a huge magic circle to pop into existence; thus lending an ethereal blue light to dance around the place.
The sound of roaring, gushing water would echo somewhere in the depths of the ruins, far-far beneath the ground. It would multiply several folds with each passing second, before a gentle crack can be seen below the current position of the six men.
The crack would spread like the branches of a creeper and the water arms that held them would splash around and free them from the grip of death. They fell to the ground, exhausted, with their screaming reducing down into grateful pants- while they coughed up a bit of blood and tried to have a greater and more controlled grip over their weapons.
Surely, they needed a chance to attack back, right?
'That's left up to me though.' Aedre mused within her head, as the ground cracked completely and out shot a massive, expanding reverse of water; which completely threw the men into the air. More hot steam issued from the hot geyser, which was heated up to a considerable temperature; enough to scald people's skin off.
The eight men were sent up the jet of water- some on top, while the others were caught inside the little current, but regardless of their position or condition, the damage would be similar.
"I think that some of you were not fortunate enough to witness fountains as kids... So, hoping that you enjoy this treat from my side, Misters. Good For Nothings."

Finally the external of her body was healed. Her internals would take longer to heal and might require someone to look at them, but for now she was fighting fit. Still, she would not interefere in the fight of the woman she called Splashy. She seemed to be enjoying herself and it was fun to listen and watch as someone else tore apart people. It seemed that Aedre did not mind causing death and that would allow her a longer period of survival. Those who did not believe as sinali did that the dead were blessed and so making people join their number was a gift not an evil would be the first to die. No, not the first priests and other holy people would be the first to die. They scorned her worse than most and why? Because she was undead. Even before she had done anything bad they had tried to kill her. Yes, their deaths would be a pleasure. It was a shame she would give them such blessings, but oh well.

"Beati Mortui." she whispered and reached out with her mind to Perry who was now on the very edge of her telepathic range. The butterfly worm, parasite queen, centipede, whatever you wished to call her had stopped. It seemed something was preventing her from proceeding. A magical barrier of some kind that she could not penetrate. Could it be where the treasure was hidden? Or was it something else? SOmething more? Sinali nodded and told Perry to come back so that she could lead them to what she had found. The insect gave the affirmative and began to return.

"I know your playtime is fun Splashy...but Perry has found someting." Sinali said as she walked out from her hiding place. "And besides...we will find more toys on the way i'm sure." she added and with that she began to walk in the direction of Perry in order to meet her. No sense her coming all the way back after all.

The geyser ceased down into nothing, leaving only some thick mist behind- the only trace of its existence. The mist only added up to the already existing one, thus rendering the men even more helpless in their visual sense, while damaging at the same time. Without the faintest knowledge as well.
'How fun~' The woman mused within her head, as an intense amount of blue aura would swirl around her frame- jumping out at random intervals while pulsating in a rhythmic manner. As the aura would morph into a water form, the woman set herself into a run, while torrents of water would sprout out from the aura around her body.
The Slayer will come to a halt in the center of all the treasure hunters, as they were only trying to get up to their feet. The streams of water will whip a few of them back to the ground, while Aedre's magical power will expand and converge around her- for just a split second later, a rippling wave of dark blue, pressurized water would surround her in a vortex-like sphere and then proceed onto to jump outwards as a massive, exploding sphere of water in all the directions.
The wave held a colossal amount of kinetic energy, as it was bound to bring severe destruction to anything that it came in contact with. All the men were thrown straight for the pillars and walls of the ruins; crashing hard and then sliding onto the ground in a painful way.
Not even a single heartbeat would be missed, as the mist in the air would consolidate and several bullet shaped projectiles would hit the men in their guts- pushing them in an even worse condition. This would be followed by the formation of sword-like structures in the air; which sharpened themselves like real swords in the matter of a second, only taking a small amount of concentration from Aedre's side.
    Gasps. Screams. Blood. Death.
These four occurred in quick succession and the eight men were now nothing more than corpses- for it had only taken them a few minutes to toss themselves into the gaping maw of death.
A snap from the pinkette's fingers and the mist disappeared out of the very periphery of her vision and Aedre quietly followed Sinali's trail. She was just going to let this girl take the lead for now.

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali - Page 2 Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

Post by Bass 26th July 2014, 4:10 am

Sinali was confident that the pinkette she called Splashy would be able to follow her. She was meant to be a slayer after all and weren't slayers supposed to have keen senses? If so then Splashy should be able to follow her with ease. If not then that was not her problem. It was not her fault if a slayer couldn't track. She walked down the halls and eventually came across Perry on the ceiling hissing and clacking. Sinali smiled and the butterfly worm/centipede thing began to crawl along the ceiling away with the undead girl following.

Twists and turns, ups and downs, things were getting tricky. However, the workmanship appeared to be increasing. The tunnels were no longer roughly hewn, and instead were cunningly carved. It was they got nearer that something within Sinali caused her to stop just as her foot pressed upon a certain part of the ground. Just in front of her a pit opened vast and deep and filled with spikes at the bottom. At the bottom she noted the corpses of people similar to the treasure hunters they had killed. It seemed few, if any, had made it past this point. This had to be the right way, but how to get across. There was obviously some sort of time delay before it swung shut as the corpses looked quite fresh.

Still, if there was this one trap then there were likely numerous others. Perry likely hadn't triggered them due to going across the ceiling, but her and Aedre likely would unless they were very careful. "Splashy...this game just got more fun. There are traps now not just toys to break." she called out behind her and as she expected the trap swung shut. She dropped down and looked at what she had trooden on. It was very similar to the actual flooring. It was just raised ever so slightly. Barely noticeable. Scanning along she saw several others like it. Still, would they all be triggered in the same way? It seemed a foolish oversight because if you survived one you would be smart enough to notice how they were triggered. Perhaps the others were decoys? He wasn't 100% sure.

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali - Page 2 Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

Post by Felicity 26th July 2014, 4:58 am

Aedre followed calmly, with no trace of doubt or worry in her mind. For unlike most other people, she had the privilege of completely believing in her basic senses and she did rely on it heavily at times. Just a pep in the step for training with a dragon, but extremely useful nevertheless.
Sinali's scent was rather easy to follow, mostly because it was distinctive- due to the fact that she was undead. Then a supportive reason could be that there were no other scents that distracted her, for the ruins seemed eerily quiet from this point on.
There wasn't much haste in Aedre's steps, even though she wanted to quickly finish this job once and for all. Working for the Council really got on her nerves and after getting such pathetic losers as her opponents- her hate for today only intensified. But, on the other hand, she was able to witness Sinali in a battle, which was quite interesting to be honest. The girl's powers were unique and versatile, two points that could mean the entire world in a magical battle.
However, her next step distracted the pinkette from her thought process, as she heard a sound similar to stone slabs rubbing against each other- while she was greeted with a sight of a chamber opening in the floor right infront of her. Gore and blood was to be seen in the pit, for several spikes protruded from the ground and dead bodies lay on top of it- obviously killed due to falling into this cunning little trap.
'That was close.' The woman mused, while sighing out a little, coming to the realization that she could have fallen into the trap herself, had she not been careful enough.
However, this simple obstacle wasn't all that of a problem to the Slayer, for she simply fused her body with the shadows in the place and only appeared back on the other side of the pit. She only let a fleeting glance back, before continuing on Sinali's trail- only to see the girl standing infront of an identical trap.
A smirk graced the woman's lips as she simply sneaked forward and grabbed the undead child by the hand, causing both their bodies to disappear into the shade casted by a nearby wall.
The Savage duo will simply coalesce back into their original forms on the other side of the pit, as Aedre let go of the girl's hand quickly. If the rumors within the guild foyer were true, the undead girl hated the mortals for some reason. But, it wasn't Aedre's concern to find out why, she will only let her partner be in a comfortable space for now.
"Ain't all that hard to get out of these traps... We should just keep out eyes open for the toys-" The Slayer spoke, but before she could finish her sentence, a loud thud was heard. Blue eyes locked onto the single piece of spiked metal that had pierced the ground right next to her and then proceeded onto to look up at the ceiling.
A large piece of wood was suspended in mid-air, with many sharp, metal spikes attached to it- that probably fell on top of anything or anyone that was below it.
Question was, when and how? Surely, there was some precise system.
"The toys will need to wait a bit more."

Post by Bass 26th July 2014, 5:26 am

Sinali was surprised when her hand was grabbed and she was about to pull away when they were suddenly turned into shadows and reformed on the other side of the pit. A very useful ability to be sure. Yet it seemed that pitfalls were not the only traps that would get in their way for a spike had fallen down next to Aedre and right in front of Sinali. It had actually scraped her nose ever so slightly. She looked up and too saw the spikes suspended. She took a step forward and then leapt back narrowly avoiding another spike that fell. Yet, she hadn't touched any switch. She stared upwards at the spikes before picking up one of the fallen ones and tossing it forward. Another spike fell followed by another and another as the rock flew. Sinali continued to stare at the ceiling and saw the spikes magically reform. "If we move under it...spikes will fall." she said thoughtfully. It was an interesting trap to say the least. She wondered how it would react to the shadow form of Aedre. She suspected that as the spikes were magic it might still be able to hit them. They needed a way to temporarily stop the spikes, a roof of some kind, or a defense to prevent them piercing them somehow.

Sinali did have one ability that might be enough to get her across, but she wasn't certain if it would be powerful enough to be able to withstand the spikes. She stared up at them. If they weren't coming from above then she would likely be ok as they wouldn't hit her brain. However, they were so it made things a lot trickier. She extended her wrist revealing the silver snake bracelet she wore upon it. She had returned 'Mr.Snakey' her whip sword back to itsbracelet form when 'Uncle' had imprisoned the pair in crystal. Now it might come in handy once more.

She lashed out with the whip sword and as it extended its way past several of the spikes fell. She retracted it and stared up at the ceiling again. There was an approximate delay of four seconds before the spikes regenerated. Not enough time to get across safely at least not for her. "Any ideas Splashy?"

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali - Page 2 Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

Post by Felicity 26th July 2014, 6:02 am

The woman watched as Sinali tried to figure out the mechanics behind the spike trap and really, she picked out some interesting ways to find out. Up till now, the undead girl seemed like a machine of brute strength and just hell-bent on killing her opponents, along with a sadist's desire to cause them pain and suffering.
But, apparently, Aedre's opinions were wrong; for Sinali was using the technique of brain over brawn at this moment.
"If we move under it...spikes will fall." The young girl's voice interrupted the pinkette's thought process and she looked up just in time to notice the spikes reforming on the wooden slab. For a moment, the Slayer bit down her lower lip while thinking of some way out.
There was no chance of trying to move something beneath the slab and hoping the spikes to fall- while at the same time sneaking away from this difficult position. So, the whip that Sinali was trying to use would be pretty much useless.
In her opinion, the spikes would surely need some amount of magical energy to reform and that could be provided by pretty much anything. There was no way that the spikes contained magic individually, for once one of them fell the other could not reform in that case.
'The slab.' Aedre concluded, while looking up and squinting her eyes in concentration. The pinkette swung her hand in a quick, sweeping motion and retracted it back with lightning-fast speed. A spike fell down onto the ground, piercing through the rock floor- but Aedre's eyes were not on the spike, but instead on the wooden slab.
    Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Four seconds and another spike reformed on the slab, all ready to fall onto any un-suspecting victim below it. However, Aedre had seen exactly what she wanted to see. The new spike came forth from inside the wooden slab, accompanied with a faint white glow.
"The piece of wood is our culprit Sinali. Why don't we just get rid of it?" Aedre questioned rhetorically, while already preparing an attack.
The air around her caught speed, swiveling around her frame as a small orb of incandescent water took birth in her hands. Still keeping contact between the tips of her fingers, the woman slowly brought separation to her palms; so an onlooker would see a beach ball sized, fluid sphere in her hand. Flailing her hands back, Aedre released the sphere in the air, making it float twenty meters above the ground. It pulsated strongly for a second, before degenerating into twenty streams of water with arrow-like tips.
All aiming for the wooden slab on top. Several little explosions happened overhead, while the savage duo would be showered with a thin spray of water due to Aedre's attack. The wood cracked into pieces, falling down onto the ground- completely destroyed along with its magic.
With a small, triumphant smile, the Slayer addressed Sinali, "Time to continue looking for the toys."

Sinali's analysis seemed to have helped Aedre to some extent as she was able to see the cause of the issue and with a simple spell destroy it. The fact it got them a little bit wet didn't bother her because she was already pretty blood strained. She returned her sword back to its bracelet form there was no need for it now. She walked over the wreckage calmly. The delay caused by the trap was perhaps an advantage to some extent as she now felt able to re-use some of the more powerful spells in her possession. She followed after Perry who was clacking impatiently on the roof. In truth the butterfly worm would probably have been able to disable the trap herself if she had bothered, but she normally didn't interfere in things like that. She liked to see how her mistress worked in situation of that nature.

Eventually walking through the ruins they came across what seemed to be a door of stone. However, to mages it was clear that the door was indeed magical. Even Perry the butterfly worm could see that. THis was the 'barrier' of which she spoke. The barrier that she could not pass herself. Sinali took a step towards it and reached out, but it seemed that their was a shield of some kind near the door because she couldn't actually touch it and instead was repelled and after a few moment she was literally thrown backwards a few steps.

"Another obstacle." Sinali said and then looked about. There didn't appear to be any obvious way to deactivate it. Perhaps with raw power they could break through it. She raised her hands and fired off all eight nails. They hit the barrier and fizzled away as if they were nothing. The nails regrew on her fingers and she stared. It seemed the projectiles were too weak to overcome the barrier. It was then she tilted her head. "Its locked." she said indicating the door itself. "...by a sliding puzzle." she focused her magic power and one of the panels slid across. "It should look like the wizard saint emblem...I think." As a young child who loved games a puzzle like this was something that greatly interested her. She loved puzzles almost as much as she loved killing. Well, not quite, but you got the idea. Her assumption was correct as after a few minutes of maneuvering the blocks on the door formed the wizard saint emblem and the door swung open.

Aedre simply walked past the wreckage, her face clearly showing off an expression that spoke of her unawareness about the one responsible for the destruction. Honestly, the woman could give extreme assurance with that face of hers as one could only call her; a born actor.
However, even that handy little talent wouldn't be of much use when faced with another obstacle. It was always a question of wits or tenacity, of which the latter was comparatively more successful in the case of mages. But, it wasn't like that now, for it certainly seemed as if the creator of these traps was more brainy than brawny. The traps were meticulously made, so that any intruder will have to surely activate those cells in their brain and make use of any kind of honed skills that never came out in the first place.
When Sinali fired some of her nails in the direction of the locked door, Aedre cirnged slightly a its failure. She had already noticed the sliding panels embedded in the door and was only trying to figure out the correct image in her head; all in the matter of a split second. Her lips parted slightly to let a sly smile in, as she watched the young girl focus her magic energy and try to make out the sign of the wizard saints. For a moment, Aedre wondered if Sinali would be able to figure it out, but her spot of worry was proved wrong when she managed to crack the puzzle and let the door swing open.
Puzzles were always children's piece of forte.
It was instant. Three bullets seared the air and hit Aedre, two on her arm whereas one on the knee. All on the same side of the body, since the Slayer was a tad bit too late to move out of the way. Even a Dragon Slayer's reflexes could fall down in its might when facing something like bullets.
Splotches of red decorated her clothing, as some slivers of light made the men inside the room visible, "Too impatient, aren't ya? Do not fret, we'll make sure to give beautiful gifts to each one of you."
As she spoke, her tone laced with extreme sarcasm; Aedre snapped the fingers of her un-injured arm, causing a magic circle to pop beneath her feet. An ethereal cyan light danced off from the arcane circle, while her hair flew around slightly. The light would condense onto the Slayer's skin itself, closing off any wounds and even healing it from inside. This effect would leave the bullet inside her skin, but she could always make a clean job out of it when she got back to the guild.

The door had opened and she had solved the puzzle. Yet as soon as she had three bullets tore into the water slayer she named Splashy. A bullet tore through her as well, straight through the heart, but she just stood there a smile on her face. "You broke my heart." she said calmly and in a rather eerie fashion. "Does that mean I get to break you?" With that she extended one of her arms and swung it. The arm extended forming a snake head instead of a hand and grabbed hold of one of the gunners. Before he had a chance to react Sinali retracted the arm pulling herself towards him. He raised his gun, but was too slow and when she got close she spun and kicked him in the head releasing the snake head as she did so thus the man went flying straight into an ally of his. Due to their formation this succeeded in knocking down several of them in a single movement. Her strength combined with the momentum the attack had gained were lethal. She now stood quite close to them and her other hand had transformed as well. It now resembled the man known as Harland, but with a cannon protruding from the mouth

"Meet my good friend Harland." she said with a grin and aimed it at the pile of people on the floor. The cannon fired with the head of Harland saying the word 'boom' in his exact voice. The cannonball missed them narrowly, but hit the ground and exploded throwing up a thick layer of dust and doing C rank damage to each of them. Before she could fire off the next shot her body became riddled with bullets as the men opened fire trying to bring her down. She raised her arm and fired once more though hitting one of them in the stomach. The blast blew through him scattering his body parts everywhere and further damaging the allies around him. The weakest ones, who hadn't managed to get close to the rapid nature of her attacks, were taken out by this second C rank blast. Thus it was only the nine gunners who remained standing. She raised her cannon, but was forced to leap back as out of nowhere one of the gunners pulled out a large magic bazooka. A dangerous looking weapon that could probably take her out considering the damage she had taken.

"Let's see whose got the best gun." she said raising the cannon as she leapt to the side to avoid a powerful burst of magic energy. It wasn't a bazooka as she had thought. It was an energy cannon. That could potentially vaporize her. "Leave big gun to me Splashy. The rest are yours."

Aedre cringed slightly when Sinali produced a very... familiar face on her hand. Harland's face; Aedre's grandfather's face. The man she despised so greatly, all because of his stupid theories on the greater-good and whatnot. His utter nonsense that actually led to his downfall in the end.
The sight was indeed odd and for some reason, it did make Aedre's stomach roll in disgust; for anything that Sinali produced on her body was gruesome and gore- and this didn't bother Aedre for the majority of time. But when the sight was of someone that she knew all too well, it did make the woman a tad bit uneasy. The Slayer had come across this very sight once before; back when she was fighting some man in Era- where Sinali had climbed in to lend a hand in the battle and used this exact same spell. Back then, the logic as to why the undead child used such a spell had escaped her- and she had only figured it out much later, back in the Guildhall; when she learned that her grandfather had been killed by this very child.
In one of those rare moment in life, Aedre had forgotten how to exactly feel about the situation; for if anything, she would have loved to kill the old geezer herself. But, what was entirely surprising that someone of his caliber had been put to dust by a girl who was yet to discover her full potential.
"Leave big gun to me Splashy. The rest are yours." Sinali's voice interrupted the woman's thoughts, as she immediately shook herself out of the temporary trance that she had plunged herself into.
As an instant response, Aedre clicked her tongue in disappointment, "Just this time- mind you... I'm letting you have the fun." She stated, casting a cold gaze in the young girl's direction; before fastening her sight to the nine men that stood ahead of them.
Placing both her arms on either side of her frame, the woman prepared to lunge forward at the men. With the sound of roaring water echoing in the immediate area for a second, Aedre's hands turned into highly pressurized water twisting around in the shape of a helix. There streams of water would elongate upto ten meters; twisting and turning to show off the high flexibility and maneuverability.
With a curt nod to herself, Aedre crouched and shot forward in the direction of the nine men; as she crashed one of the arms into the ground mid-way, thus launching herself into the air and throwing herself just above them.
Spinning just like a diver does, the Slayer spread her converted- arms and then crashed them right on top of all the men. A huge explosion of water occurred, as Aedre landed a couple of feet ahead- while the men were thrown in all the directions due to the sheer knock-back damage caused by her spell.
Cracking her fingers, the pinkette tried to look for the man that Sinali had deemed as her target. He was about half a dozen feet away from his previous position, spread on the floor and slowly trying to get back up.
"Pick the big gun up and teach him a lesson, Sinali... He's yours afterall."

Sinali hissed slightly as Splashy, or Aedre if you preferred to call her that, knocked her prey to the ground. She had called dibs on that one and she'd knocked it down and got it dirty. That just wasn't playing nice. She waited as the man got to his feet and raised his gun. It was then she fired off the final shot of the Harhand cannon. It was perhaps the scariest and most bizarre. Rather than firing a cannonball it fired the head of Harland straight at him and as it flew it kept repating the words 'Gonna getcha' in Harland's voice. Sinali was slightly pleased at Aedre's reaction though she didn't understand it. She didn't really understand the concept of family. She'd never had one.

The head hit the bazooka just as the man fired thus the blast exploded back on him sending him flying into a wall heavily burned and also with several limbs removed. Yet he was still alive. The man seemed to grin as he raised a pistol and took aim. Yet it was too slow because her hand shot out towards him, like she'd used earlier, and caught the gun hand crushing it out of his hand. She yanked herself towards him and kicked him into the wall shattering his ribs.

She turned to face the remaining men who all looked really scared now. Sinali had taken out their strongest so easily and in such a macabre fashion and Aedre was taking them down so easily. These two seemed unstoppable and the men began to take a step back raising their guns and firing them off as they began to retreat. They were running away. "It looks like they don't want to play anymore." Sinali said sadly as she grabbed the dead man's arm and bit into it. She spat it out almost instantly though. "Blergh. Don't know what he had in that gun but its made the meat taste awful."

Fear turned to terror now. this girl had just tempted to eat someone's arm and complained about the flavour. Just who were these people? "Who are you?" one of them said his voice shaking in terror. That's when Sinali had an idea and her body began to ripple before it changed to form the gemstone mage they had killed earlier, one of their leaders.

"I'm Jett don't you fools recognise me?" she asked mimicing his voice and speaking style flawlessly.

"Harper will kill you for that" the man said but still was backing away fearfully. Even more so now she had transformed into the gemstone hunter. "Jett was his favourite deputy."

Aedre felt the slight movement of air behind her pupils slid to one side, noticing a blur of one of the men- rushing straight in her direction; his gun pointed forth, as if he'd stab the pinkette with it. Well, that was probably the only option he was left with since the water that Aedre used would have soaked the gun so badly that it couldn't fire shots anymore.
The woman took a single step behind and then another one to the left, for at that very moment, her adversary closed in on her right- dealing with a bit of inertia when he tried to turn his weapon to the left in the hopes of hitting Aedre in some way. However, the Slayer had already grabbed hold of the front of his gun and wrenched it away, while her left foot landed a straight kick in his gut; without even turning back to look at him.
Before the man could fall down flat on his back due to the impact of Aedre's attack, the pinkette turned and caught him by the collar in his staggering state- pulling him back up into a balanced state and close to her face.
"There's a damned lot of backstabbers among ya'll." She mentioned, while the water that dripped from the gun in her right hand would begin to be absorbed into her very skin. A dozen seconds or so later, the gun was dry and all ready to be used once again- thanks to some handy abilities that were at Aedre's disposal.
The aim of the gun was placed on the man's forehead; something that coused him to sneer in a mocking manner, "Didn't you observe already? It doesn't work." He stated, bursting into bit of a laugh, being nearly unawares that Aedre had repaired his weapon already.
"Really?" She questioned, her voice evidently fake; while pushing the end of the gun straight into his laughing mouth and thus successfully shutting him up. The man sweatdropped a bit, now worried, but still assured that the gun won't work.
Withput another word, Aedre pulled the trigger six times straight- causing six shots to be fired into the man's very throat mericlessly and killing him in a second or two; with his eyes gazing in their full width in a rather comical way.
    'The finest way to die~'

It seemed Aedre, or Splashy, had a lot of skill. She also appeared to be having a lot of fun. Disabling a guy's weapon with water and then fixing it in order to kill him was pretty cool. What better way to kill a gunner then with his own gun? Well, there was the option of tearing them apart of course. That was Sinali's preferred method. The splatter of blood as she killed them, the sound of crunching bone, the sound of tearing sinew. It was all so beautiful to the young girl. She was still in the form of Jet and felt that the form would be useful for the time being. It seemed that none of them wanted to come near her. They were afraid of her and for good reason. She considered what best to do in this case. She looked at one of the men who was about to take a pot shot at Aedre. His gun was glowing with magical energy. The Jet Sinali grinned and swung her arm and this time it stretched it out and formed a spiked ball which hit the man on the gun hand and slammed him backwards. She retracted the arm and then swung it again. This time hitting the man in the face before he had a chance to react. The swing of the arm was enough to clothelines a couple of the others as well slamming them into the wall. The one that got hit by the spiked ball was killed by the second blow. The others were merely dazed. Still, it kept them off Splashy's back for a little while and stopped her getting bored for now anyway.

"I'll leave you to play Splashy." she said and began to wander down the hall. They had to be close to the treasure now. She could ense some form of magic power. It was weak at the moment, but the closer she stepped the strong it seemed to get. Yes they had to be getting very close indeed. She called out with her mind and Perry once more went scuttling away along the rooftops to try and find out where the treasure room was. She half suspected that the parasite queen would just find another obstacle she could not pass, but still it was good to have a scout of some kind. It prevented surprises, well prevented surprises she wouldn't like. Plus it allowed for Perry to feel useful as her Parasite Empress ability had not proven very useful earlier.

"It will not be long now." she whispered. "Soon I will have a new way to play with my toys...and my dreams will be a lot closer." She wondered if anyone else knew of her plans for mass extinction. The ice age wiped out the dinosaurs allowing for humans, and thus Sinali to appear. WOuldn't it be ironic that one of those people, Sinali, would cause the next mass extinction. Except this time it would be worse. She would be worse than a natural disaster. All life except those she deemed worthy, the undead and spirits, would die.

Post by Felicity 12th August 2014, 9:25 am

The woman let go of her last opponent, who had only taken a few seconds to succumb to death. With a small smirk on her features, Aedre turned around- only to see Sinali knocking down one of the gunners. From the looks of it, one of them was probably trying to take a shot at Aedre while her attention was diverted, but the young undead had saved the Slayer in the nick of time.
'Now I probably owe her a favor in return.' She mused within her head, while hearing her partner leaving the place to move ahead; most likely on a lookout for the supposed treasure that they were meant to find in the first place.
Now that she thought about it, Aedre had nearly forgotten all about the treasure- for all this time, her aim had been to annihilate each of these gunners and end their miserable lives once and for all. It was a bit boring to say the least, but hopefully it would lend a sense of satisfaction after a certain span of time. You never know.
As one of the hunters tried to take aim at her, Aedre crouched a bit- as a magic circle was visible beneath her feet; as always, glowing bright.
The stark blue hues of her shifted among each of the six remaining men, locking onto each for a fraction of a second. With a curt nod, she was off.
From the next moment onwards, Aedre was nothing more than a stream of water for any naked eye. Her movements would barely be perceptible to any- as she changed between her physical form just in front of each of the hunters.
There was a good damn reason for this halt.
A combination of melee began on them, Aedre pummeling each of the men with backfists, chambered punches, jabs, roundhouse kicks, side kicks, haymakers and whatnot.
On the last man- she'd land a strong axe kick on his skull, only to shift into her liquid form and stand back at a safe distance from them.
"None of you were the best-looking fellas... but I assure, now you look worse."

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali - Page 2 Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

Sinali walked forward through the caves and came to a place where she stopped. It wasn't the same as last time. There was no physical barrier that she could see nor had anything stopped her. She stopped suddenly because she felt there was something ahead. She bit her finger enough to draw blood and flicked the blood in front of her. It stopped at seemingly nothing and sizzled. A magical barrier. Not just any barrier either. This one was pure magic. She exhaled trying to consider the best way round the situation. Go below it perhaps? Or over it? Or round it? Or just find another path. All were difficult. Handyman was perhaps the best way to test that, but something stopped her. It was almost like she knew it woldn't work without trying.

At a guess she suspected that the barrier actually went along the outside of the entire corridor preventing access from any direction. The only way to get past was to break through this barrier or disable it somehow. Now, how would such a magic barrier work? It was a persistent magic barrier. So it wasn't a spell someone had cast because the spell would end on their death or at least dissapate. This spell felt brand new as if it was cast just yesterday. That meant that something was sustaining it. It was then she saw the glint. Lacrima.

It had to be a rare lacrima type that somehow recharged itself for this to be purely lacrima. She sniffed the air. The air itself was rich with magic. Perhaps then the barrier lacrima was fuelled by the air itself and the excess from the barrier enrichened the air with more magic. No, that wouldn't quite work. It would eventually run out of power through natural decay and this place was ancient. There had to be something else.

"Perry go get me some of those crystals Uncle used." Sinali said and Perry nodded going to go get some of the crystal. Sinali had an idea on how to get past this, but for that she needed two things. Crystals and Aedre.

(time to show off Sinali's lacrima knowledge ;) )

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali - Page 2 Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

There was not much time to waste, for Aedre realized that it was best to take care of all these men at once and move forward to wherever Sinali had left. Even though Aedre had a fair amount of confidence in the undead girl, there was always the possibility that she could need help. Afterall, from what the pinkette had noticed till now, was the fact that this place had a nasty habit of springing up surprises for the unwary.
She sighed softly, while noticing that Perry; Sinali's companion had appeared from the doorway that Sinali had left from earlier. For a second, the woman raised her eyebrows- wondering why the insect came back. Her attention was called back though, by the sound of loading gun and blue hues gazed coldly at the hunter who had made the attempt.
"Patience is the key." She stated mysteriously, perhaps hinting at how he seemed to be planning on attacking her when she was not paying any attention. There was haste among all the men and their actions- one of the major causes of mistakes, which extended to defeat in a battle.
The Slayer let her hands be placed forward, her eyes still locked onto the one hunter of before, actually making him unable to move even an inch.
    Apparently, the woman was intimidating.
Her palms opened up, thus calling forth small twisters of water- spinning around on her skin in dancing motions. Her opponents simply stared, since they pretty much couldn't so anything- one for being beaten to a pulp and two, for being too frozen from fear to make a move.
"The show ends now, boys." Aedre spoke, letting the two twister down onto the floor with a flick of her wrists. As soon as they hit the floor, they'd grow at a really fast pace, so much so that they nearly touched the roof of the ruins now.
Screams. The sound of rushing water. Steam.
That was all that met the sensory organs anyway, as Aedre turned her back and walked towards Perry- stepping over dead bodies of hunters and even flinching a bit when she neared the colossal insect.
    She had always hated them.
"Take me to Sinali, will you?" She questioned, not really expecting the bug to understand; but still trying anyways. Maybe it did, for Perry turned behind and set on a certain path- deeper inside the ruins.
The carnage that'll be left behind from the two cyclones that Aedre summoned, would surely be horrific. It was better that she didn't need to witness it now. The mangled bodies of the hunters when they'd be crashed into walls and trashed all around by highly pressurized and boiling water... One could not expect it to be pretty.
"Any clues about the treasure?" Aedre questioned out loud, nearing Sinali after having followed Perry for a few minutes. But the younger girl actually seemed to be in a bit of a dilemma for she stood completely still in the middle of the path for no reason at all.
What could have caused that halt now?

The large insect had done better than just bring some crystals. She had also brought with her the other key ingredient in what Sinali had planned, an elemental magic user, the water demon slayer Aedre "The treasure is just ahead." Sinali replied as she began to use the crystals to use a combination of magic, the crystals and her nails to shape the crystals seemingly randomnly. "But we can't get to it till we break the lacrima." She said and pointed with one of the crystals towards some crystals that were jutting out of the wall just ahead. "We can't go round or under or over...so we need to break it." It was strange to hear Sinali talk intelligently and not be doing something disturbing like eating flesh. She seemed to genuinely know what she was talking about. How Aedre would react to this was another matter, but Sinali did not care.

"These need magic power...then they should send out a pulse that will disrupt the barrier long enough for us to get past and disable the crystals." she said and looked at Aedre plainly. "Elemental magic would be best." Sinali was not 100% confident with her plan. If she'd had her tools she could of fashioned much better lacrima from these crystals. Heck, if she'd had proper lacrimite (as she called the material lacrima were made from) then it would of been even easier. Fortunately, as this crystal was made by magic it was very similar in composition to lacrimite. Or at least it appeared to be working almost as well. Only time would tell if it would work enough.

"Charge these pwease?" she said trying the whole innocent child act which really didn't work when you used it on someone who had just seen you eat a guy and kill a dozen or more others with mostly bare hands. She might refuse. She might see another way through the barrier, but her senses told her it was very powerful. Perhaps the magical artifacts they were after might also contribute to the barriers magic supply. Or perhaps there was a natural 'magic' fountain down here. She'd heard of such things. Areas where magic was naturally in abundance. They were the reason for things like the floating mountains.

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali - Page 2 Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

Post by Felicity 24th August 2014, 7:07 am

That fake and forced request made the pinkette chuckle lightly, wondering why the undead girl even pulled it in the first place. Honestly, Aedre had a more than fair idea about what sort of innocence Sinali possessed. Afterall, if you were a child who killed and ate people; the sweet-child act was hard to pull off.
With a nod, the Slayer focused on the lacrima that jutted out of the ground just a little way ahead; the ones that Sinali had pointed out and asked her to charge it with magical energy.
A seemingly simple task it was, though Aedre found herself doubt whether her partner's suggestion would work or not. She had no idea as to how Sinali had figured this out. For a brief moment, blue eyes scanned for some other way out- in the hope to find a solution that was more concrete and perhaps, more safe.
    Appearently, there wasn't any.
She sighed a bit, 'Okay then, let's do this.'
Placing her trust on the undead child, Aedre made her palms face the direction of the lacrimas- causing her hands, as well as the magical stone to glow with an ethereal blue light. About a sozen seconds or so later, the glow on the crystals seemed to grow stronger; before it pulsed with a radiant energy for a second.
Most of the magic in immediate area died away at the drop of a hat and Aedre shut down the flow of magic from her hands.
"The barrier seems to be temporarily disabled." She stated, while walking ahead without a hint of fear or uncertainity. She had, afterall, reached the stage where a mage had a deeper understanding about the presence and working of magic.
A few minutes of walking along the corridor ahead and the Savage duo were only faced with a room that simply served as an extension of the corridor itself; there was no door to be seen. It would become clear to anyone that this was the undoubtedly the treasure room; with gems, crystals and jewels of various shapes and sizes strewing the floor, with the shining weapons and armours from God-knows-which era.
"Finally hit the gold, Sinali." Aedre mentioned, as she moved into the room and started to examine a few weapons and crystals.
All they needed to do now was get this to the Council without revealing their identity, something that Aedre could pull off with no problems at all. However, there was a more important task, a deal that had to be taken care of...
"We agreed on something before beginning this job Sinali- its time that I fulfill my part." The pinkette stated in an unwavering tone, even though the fact that she might have to part with some of her flesh bothered something deep within her.
'Lesson learnt; never promise things to children.'
