Personality: Vermilion tends to be a bit of a loaner due to his past, his social skills leaving something to be desired, to put it simply he isn’t really the best with people. This doesn’t mean he’s not friendly, however, just not very good with some basic social cues, in truth he is a friendly and kind-hearted individual even if he seems a bit closed off or cautious of new people at first. During most of his time when not taking on jobs it is easiest to find him sitting around either reading or writing whether it be in some corner of the guildhall or outdoors under a tree, his love of reading and writing speaking to his inquisitive and analytical side. Vermilion does tend to take on a bit of a different persona while on a job or in combat, however, notably becoming quite a bit more prideful and boastful than his usual reserved nature, his choices in combat to often use excessive force leaving most he has come across severely maimed is where he got his moniker “The Demon of the Winds”. Vermilion while a loaner, for the most part, does tend to make a decent team player normally able to either come up with or follow and execute on a plan, although his communication skills could still use a bit of work. In short, while he may appear to be closed off or uninterested in the people or things around him as compared to the pages of his books, once somebody does get to know him, he tends to make for an excellent friend and great ally. For those however that find him on the battlefield or in his way, are likely not to remember him for his personality but rather the wounds they will be left to tend to afterward.  
Likes:

• Reading & Writing: Vermilion not having many friends growing up, would often find an escape from reality in books, tales of grand adventure and things of the like.
  
• Nature & Adventuring: Spending a lot of his life confined to his family estate Vermilion began to gain a fondness for things like the nature he found himself in when sneaking out most nights, these early escapades along with his love of stories of adventure helped shape who he is today.
  
• Learning: Vermilion due to his upbringing was secluded from most the world and people growing up, so he spends a lot of his time just finding joy in learning about people and how the world around him works.
  

 
Dislikes:

• Injustice: Vermilion having seen both life from a more fortunate side of things as well as from rock bottom has a keen distaste for seeing injustices being carried out.
  
• Dishonesty: Being a generally trusting individual Vermilion cannot stand people who are dishonest, likening them to dirt.
  
• Himself: Although it may not be very apparent Vermilion blames himself for a lot of his past tragedy, even though there was nothing that could be done to stop it.
  

Motivations:

• To become a better Mage: Vermilion has always taken pride in his magical abilities, but knows there is still a lot for him to learn and a lot of room for him to grow.
  
• To make friends: One of the reasons Vermilion joined a guild was to begin to get to know people, and make friends, something he is not very good at or has had many of.
  
• To overcome his fears and past trauma: Having suffered great loss, one thing that Vermilion now strives to achieve is to overcome and escape his past by living the best life he can make for himself.

• Fire: This applies both just to the general sight of it as well as fire magic, due to a traumatic experience in his past.
  
• Loss: As someone who essentially had everything handed to them on a silver plater when growing up only to have their world crash down around them, the idea of losing anything important to Vermilion terrifies him.
  
• Failure: The thing Vermilion fears the most is in earnest a common fear, the fear of failure, more specifically for him the failure to become the type of person and mage he wants to be and to keep his fear of loss from becoming reality.
