Pulling out his Ilac he quickly shuffled through his contacts, mentally thanking Vali again for showing him how this worked. Back home things he could have were very restrictive so it took some getting used to. Speaking off he quickly pulled up the witch's contact and typed up a quick message, letting her know that he would be on a job for a few days and suggesting perhaps the pair could investigate that library once he returned. Sure it was strange to try and forge a friendship with the first person he met after getting into the country but there was something about the girl that put a smile on his face. He couldn’t exactly bring any friends when he came to this country so it was nice to start making new connections.
Taking a moment to look down at himself in an effort to get his mind on the mission, he frowned softly as he looked at his armor. Sure having his sword on his hip was fine but he wasn’t dumb enough to think wearing any amount of heavy armor on a boat was a good idea. He was going to have to remove it once they got underway, probably not long after he got aboard too. Though frankly, he supposed the increase in mobility might be worth it. And that he remembered he brought a swimsuit. Better to be safe than sorry. Sure the plan was to stand on the deck and shoot lightning into the water but that might not work out. Smirking softly to himself he held up his hand as channeled a little magic, letting electric sparks dance across his fingers. “La foudre frappe à chaque fois qu'elle bouge.”
