    HOWLING FORMING THE HIGH NOTES
OF A SYMPHONY, BITTER WIND OF ICY PARTICLES, BASS OF SWOLLEN WAVES OF WINTER'S ROUGH POETRY

Today, Tess had taken a job that, if completed successfully, would also allow her to help someone and make them happy. The client was Emmy Millton, who was a young woman that was soon to be married. Right now, Tess was on her way to the edge of Oak Town, where she had been told Ms. Millton would meet her. Also, there was something different about the job this time around. After all, Ms. Millton would help Tess find the ring, instead of just leaving her to her own devices and going off to do something else while Tess looked for it. Tess did appreciate this, and decided that it showed just how important this ring was to Ms. Millton. This strengthened Tess’ resolve to complete this job to the best of her ability, or Ms. Emmy Millton would surely be very upset.

Tess was walking to Oak Town, so it was taking a bit of time for the journey, more than if she had taken a carriage or some other means of transportation. However, since Tess wasn’t rich and didn’t have the means to afford such, she was stuck with walking, which she actually didn’t mind much. The problem was, now that she had finally arrived on the edge of Oak Town, she had to find Ms. Emmy Millton. That was proving to be the most difficult part of the job so far, although Tess knew that she hadn’t gotten hardly any part of the job done so far. After all, she hadn’t even met the client yet.

Tess pulled the slip of paper out of her pocket again, the one that held the job request information. Apparently, Ms. Millton had dropped the ring in the river, in Oak Town, which was very vague. Tess did hope that she could find the client soon to retrieve some more information about the ring, its whereabouts, and the job itself. After all, most any job request was slightly vague about at least somethings. And Tess needed all the information she could get.

Eventually, Tess located Ms. Emmy Millton, standing on the side of the road. She had been nowhere near her house, and it had taken Tess quite a while to find her. She had ended up searching for over forty - five minutes before someone had decided to tell her that Ms. Millton had been waiting for her at the side of the road, probably expecting her to drive by in a carriage or something. Tess had promptly stopped searching and practically flashed over to where she was standing, waiting for a person that had already come.

Once Tess had reached Emmy Millton, she waved to her and beamed brightly. "Hi, I’m Tess! I’ve accepted your job, so I’m here to help you find your ring. I promise that I’m going to do whatever it takes to help you find it." She kept smiling at Emmy Millton and waited for her to respond.

"Oh, thank you, Tess." The young woman turned around and Tess could see that she had been crying. "My engagement ring is very important to me, you see, since my fiancé is away right now, it’s all that I have left of him to remember him by. I am so very glad that you are here to help me look for it." Tess smiled at the woman reassuringly, and asked, "Would it be alright if I asked you some more questions about the ring, and the job request?" Emmy Millton immediately agreed and wiped away her tears. "Of course, dear." She listened to Tess’ questions and then replied, "Well, firstly, I lost it in the eastern most rivers in Oak Town. I was there taking a stroll because it was a beautiful day, sunny and very warm. My engagement ring was shining beautifully, and I took it off for a moment to admire it. Then, the wind suddenly blew very hard and I sort of stumbled around, and I dropped it." Emmy Millton paused, as though she might begin crying again.

"The ring is a silver band, with engravings on it that represent my love for him and his for me. There are three sparkling, clear-cut diamonds set into it, and it’s very precious to me, no matter its actual value on the market. I would most greatly appreciate it if you could get it back. I will also be searching with you and assisting you in this job, I know that might be rather unusual, but I will do anything to get this ring back!" Tess smiled at the young woman with genuine appreciation. She was strong-willed and determined, which Tess could definitely admire in someone, especially because she herself was lacking a little bit in that area. "Alright, Ms. Millton, let’s go find that ring!" Tess said, with obviously strong intentions.

As the two females made their way towards the eastern most river of Oak Town, Tess noted that Emmy Millton was a very intelligent young woman as well. She easily pointed out where she had been walking on her stroll, during which she had lost the ring, and Tess received the impression that this job would be rather easily accomplished due to how much information they already knew. She was slightly off in this fact, however, as she realized once they actually reached the river.

The Easternmost River of Oak Town was a very fast moving river, and rather wide as well. It would be difficult to search it unless they were actually in the water, but first, Tess wanted to check that she would not get hypothermia from going into it. She slipped off her boots and stockings and dipped a toe into it only to leap back with a shriek. Yes, it was a good thing she had tested it. The water was ice cold, and surely not safe to swim in. Tess now knew that there would be complications due to this, because the ring might’ve gone somewhere other than into the river bank, which was practically the only place that one could search without actually going into the water. Tess tilted her head as she contemplated how she and Emmy Millton might go about doing this and searching for the missing ring.

Emmy Millton seemed to understand how she felt about the water’s temperature. "I tried going into it once, but it was much too cold, it’s abnormally freezing for this type of weather. But, there’s a reason I wanted to come along, besides the fact that two pairs of eyes is better than one pair. You see, a friend of mine is also a mage, and she gave me these charms. They cover your body with the correct amount of air pressure and air, which also happens to be a comfortable temperature of around 65 degrees. Therefore, using these, we can probably dive into the river without freezing to death." The young woman beamed at Tess and handed her one of the charms, which had the appearance of a pendant on a length of cut cord. Tess accepted it and put it on, and immediately began to feel the effects.

Before listening to Ms. Millton say anything about effects of the charms, and how long it would be before it wore off, Tess dove head-first into the water with very little of a splash. The river was surprisingly deep, but underneath the water, Tess could see perfectly fine. It was also surprisingly clear, so Tess decided that there should be little trouble finding the ring. After all, it wasn’t as though the ring was in some sort of pouch or something that could conceal its location. It was a shiny object, and Tess was naturally attracted to shiny objects.

After an hour of looking, the charm still hadn’t worn off, and Tess still hadn’t found the ring. She turned around to see if Ms. Millton had had any better luck, but couldn’t see her. Hmm, Tess thought, Perhaps she’s farther up the river. Tess was mostly unconcerned, since she was sure that Emmy Millton would be fine due to her great sense of direction and impeccable memory. But, Tess had problems of her own. She was beginning to think that this job was impossible, because she had still not found the ring! She was even looking down stream for it, so it should actually have flowed down here if it had not already. Tess popped her head back up above water and took a deep breath of the natural fresh air. Perhaps it was time to take a break and try to find Ms. Millton.

Ms. Millton was nowhere to be seen once Tess got out of the river, still completely dry thanks to the charm. However, Tess thought that she caught a glimpse of something shiny further down river! She ran over towards it before she realized that the river went into a waterfall right about here. Emmy Millton was sitting on one of the stones next to the waterfall down below, calling for help! Tess immediately ran to above the waterfall and called down at her. "Miss Emmy, are you alright?" She asked. The young woman beamed up at her with a bright smile. "I’m perfectly fine! I found my ring!" The young woman held up a beautiful engagement ring that sparkled in the falling sunlight.

"I’m just slightly stuck here. Can you give me a hand and grab something to help me climb up?" Emmy Millton slipped the ring securely on her finger, grabbed the tree branch that Tess offered her, and hoisted herself up, fitting her feet into nooks and crannies in the stone ledge above her. Eventually, she was safe at the top, and Tess and her actually just sat there for a moment, enjoying the beautiful view as the sun set beyond the horizon line. Today’s job had turned out better than expected, and Tess was very pleased with the results.

Back at Emmy Millton’s home, Tess was thanked very enthusiastically for her help with finding the ring. She was given her reward of jewels, which was honestly not very much, but money hadn’t been Tess’ objective for this job request, anyways. Emmy Millton and she exchanged a hug, and then Tess slipped out of the young woman’s home, leaving her deep in her thoughts about her husband and the beautiful engagement ring that had caused all the trouble in the first place.

    ❅❅❅

Tess was rather interested to see the owner of the puppies. After all, they had been beautiful, purebreds, and she was sure that he was very upset. Tess had chosen this job because once again, she could get to help someone, and once again release even a little bit of suffering in this world! She beamed brightly at nothing, and skipped up to the owner of the puppies’ door. She knocked twice, very hard and loud, and waited patiently for the door to open. Eventually, it did, and the door opened just wide enough for Tess to squeeze inside...

Once she had successfully entered the home of the puppies’ owner, she was once again directed to a small parlor / living - type room by a maid. Tess wondered vaguely where the puppies’ owner was, but decided that he was probably busy and just finishing up some work or something. She patiently waited in the parlor room until the door opened and a small, but oddly thin man walked out into the room.

He introduced himself as simply the lost puppies’ owner and invited Tess to take a seat on the couch across from him, as well as offering her some water. She accepted the seat and declined the water, then waited for him to begin his story, or for him to specify more information about the lost puppies’ and what she was expected to do. Right now, Tess did not even know his name, so she was at a loss of what to do besides wait for him to begin speaking.

"First of all, I would like to thank you for coming. I am not going to tell you my name, but as you can see, I am in a bit of a predicament right now, here. You see a new litter of beautiful, new puppies was just born, yet I accidentally allowed them to escape due to my own foolishness. A few days ago, I left the door to the pen slightly, just a crack, mind you, open, and yet all of them escaped! I want you to find all seven of them and retrieve them for me. This may seem like an easy request, and it is, but they are very mischievous, whether or not they are easy to catch. If I have not already mentioned it, there are seven of them, and each should be wearing a collar and is a dark golden color, like honey. I very much appreciate you doing this for me."

Tess tilted her head in contemplation the entire time the man was talking. What he had said wasn’t much different from what she had heard, and he hadn’t even had the grace to tell her his name. However, she was here to help him, and perhaps the poor puppies were suffering, anyways. After all, she had heard that some of the other villagers were feeding them, and what if they had already taken some in as their own pets? No, Tess simply had a duty to find these poor little puppies. She stood up. "Fairy Tail is honored that you chose us for this job. I will get the puppies back to you safely, do not worry." Tess beamed at the man, and he nodded and motioned for another servant to come inside to escort her out of his home.

After leaving the man’s home, Tess was at sort of a loss where to begin. The, she remembered that some of the people around the man’s home had seen the puppies and fed them, so she decided to go ask some of them if they had any idea where the litter of puppies could be. Tess tilted her head, did 'eeny meeny miney moe', and ended up choosing the house to the left of the owner of the puppies’. She knocked twice, very hard and very loud, and patiently waited once again for someone to answer. She half expected no one to answer the door, but eventually the heavy wooden door swung open wide to reveal—nothing. Tess tilted her head and blinked her eyes for a moment, wondering if it was just an illusion. But no, it was true. There was honestly nothing in front of her. She shook her head and turned around to walk away when she felt a tug on her skirt. Tess looked down to see a young girl who looked to be no older than five tugging at her skirt with what looked to be as much vehemence as she could muster.

Tess crouched down to the little girl’s level and smiled at her kindly. "Hi, my name is Tess. What’s your name?" At first, the girl seemed too terrified to actually respond to her, but after a few moments, she warmed up. "M-my name is Lia. Are y-you looking for my mommy and daddy?" The girl seemed positively frightened of Tess still, but she reassured Lia that she wasn’t looking for her parents. Mentally, Tess corrected herself, 'Well, at least not before I see whether or not you fed the puppies.' Tess and Lia chatted for a little while about random things as Tess tried to get her to talk about dogs and puppies. Eventually the subject turned to cats.

"I’ve had a yellow bird for as long as I remember. A magical little chick." Tess laughed and smiled warmly at the girl. Dang it, I need to get her to think about puppies, thought Tess hurriedly. So she said, "Do you have a pet, Lia? Any dogs, cats, kittens, or puppies?" Mentally, Tess crossed her fingers and hoped that it was enough to get Lia to say something about the golden litter of puppies, if it turned out that she had seen them.

Lia replied exactly as Tess had hoped. "Well, my family doesn’t have any dogs or cats, since my mommy is allergic to both of them. But some puppies came around to our house a few days ago, and they were really cute! There were two of them, and I named them Gia and Mia, to rhyme with my names!" The little girl giggled and then said, "They were really pretty, and had silky fur. I wonder where they are now? I thought I saw them heading over to Mrs. Mark’s house when they left our place." Tess silently thanked the gods and patted the girl’s head. "Thank you so very much, Lia. I hope I see you again later, I’m actually searching for these missing puppies that you’re talking about!" And with that, Tess leaped up and marched away to the house across the street, after inquiring to Lia which home belonged to the Mrs. Mark that she had mentioned.

Tess walked confidently up the steps of the house across the street, the one that Lia had specified belonged to Mrs. Mark. The stone steps felt much larger and much more menacing than Tess supposed they actually were, and she wasn’t sure why she was so nervous. After all, she was only coming to inquire about some mischievous golden puppies that had wandered off and escaped from their owner’s pen. But nonetheless, Tess was apprehensive about her to - be encounter with the owner of home whose door she was approaching.

Eventually, after what seemed like an eternity, Tess reached the front doorstep of the woman’s house. She took a deep breath, lifted up her first to knock, and brought it down sharply on—nothing? Tess’ hand flew wildly through the air as the door was opened precisely the moment Tess tried to knock on it, and she grabbed the door’s frame to avoid plunging forward, carried by her arm’s momentum. After regaining her balance she stood up straight, brushed her skirt flat, and looked up into a stranger’s eyes. It was an older woman in what appeared to be her late forties to early fifties, and she had a stern set of her brow. Tess immediately got the impression that this woman was highly intelligent and highly successful in whatever her business was. She straightened up and said, "Mrs. Mark? Hi, I’m Tess, a member of Fairy Tail, a mages’ guild. I want to ask you a few questions pertaining to one of my job requests."

After declaring why she was here, Tess was invited inside without another word. She was directed to another parlor / living - type room, and once again offered some water. Tess declined, as usual, and once again waited for Mrs. Mark to begin speaking. "Now, before I say anything, let’s get something straight, you and I." Tess nodded, and the woman continued to speak. "If anyone asks you where you heard all of this, it wasn’t me. I have a reputation to keep up, after all, but I will assist you with your job as much as possible. Now, I also need to tell you that I knew that that litter of puppies belonged to the cranky man down the street. I didn’t say anything to him, since only a few of them appeared at my door, begging for food, but I expect that’s why you’re here, right?"

Tess tilted her head and nodded to the woman with a curious look in her eyes. She had already correctly guessed why Tess was here. And she appeared to know the man that had requested for Tess to take the job. Hmm, thought Tess, Perhaps I will get more information than I planned. This is a good thing. She waited patiently for the woman to continue. "No one in this neighborhood that knows the resident of that house would doubt that he would hire a mage or mages’ guild to search for any lost belongings of his. Be it servants, animals, anything. The puppies are of course, no exception, and he knows that none of us would steal a single thing from him."

The woman then went on to explain how she had found four of the puppies at her house a few days ago. "I fed them some dog food left over from when I kept one as a pet, before. I know that it’s unhealthy to feed them human food, after all, and they weren’t mine. They didn’t even have a collar or anything on them, so it wasn’t as though it would have been obvious to anyone where they came from. Either way, you don’t need to know the whole story. There are the four of them still penned up in my backyard, so I’ll keep them for you until you find the other ones, alright?" Tess was overjoyed. Half of her work had basically already been done for her, and she beamed at the woman. "I appreciate it very much, Mrs. Mark. Thank you!" Tess smiled at the woman once more, then was dismissed and left the house feeling very refreshed and positive. Now, all she had to do was find the other three puppies, and her job would be over and done with. Tess would be free to find another job and to get back to the guild hall of Fairy Tail.

After leaving Mrs. Mark’s home, she ventured farther down the road, towards a beautiful park / picnic type area that seemed like a plausible place for the puppies to be. As she was practically skipping down the lane, she noticed a flash of dark, golden fur, behind a clump of bushes inside the park area. Tess immediately broke into a run and headed directly for the area where she had seen the fur. Once she finally reached the area, she was panting, out of breath, and the puppies were nowhere to be seen. Tess rolled her eyes, supposing that it had been either her mind playing tricks on her or she had been too slow to catch the mischievous puppy that had decided to tease her by revealing itself for one moment. Tess slumped down on a nearby park bench only to have a small, beautiful golden puppy saunter up to her with a casual wag of its tail!

Tess immediately regained her energy and crouched next to it on the ground, reaching out a tentative hand to pet it on the head. However, when her hand was less than an inch away from its fur, it sprang forward and away and disappeared in a flash. Tess sighed and tilted her head in contemplation. She closed her eyes and sat down again, listening carefully for any sounds... there! She had heard something unnatural in the brush beside her, she was sure of it. Tess leaped up faster than the puppy could move and tackled the bush... and came up with a glimmering, beautiful golden puppy, squirming in her hands!

She gently petted it and whispered soothingly to it, and after a few minutes, it reacted to her perfectly fine! She took a small dog biscuit out of her coat pocket that Mrs. Mark had given her to use as bait, broke off a piece, and gave it to the puppy. The effect was immediate; she was now, in effect, the new best friend of the puppy. It pranced around her and followed her wherever she went, and she was secure in knowing that it would not leave her side now. Tess smiled, scratched it behind the ears, and decided to wander over to the playground part of the park in search of the two remaining puppies. After all, now that she had completed five - sevenths of the mission, it couldn’t be too hard to do the rest of it, right? Tess tilted her head, glanced down at the puppy beside her, and set off at a jog, heading for the playground part of the park.

After what seemed like an hour of jogging, Tess finally reached the playground and began searching for the puppies. She glanced up at the horizon line and realized that the sky was turning a beautiful streaked orange, purple, and pink, and thought to herself, "I had better find the rest of these mischievous little puppies fast, or I won’t get back to the guild hall before dark." Tess continued to search harder, and harder, going through all the bushes in the area numerous times before she decided that it was futile and that there were simply no more puppies to be found here. By then, it was dark, so Tess decided to simply bring back the extra one she had found to Mrs. Mark so it could get fed and be given water. 'I’ll simply continue to search for the others alone, she thought to herself, or I may lose them all, and that would be even worse.'

As she was walking back to the woman’s home, the small puppy trailing her, she heard sounds of barking coming from behind her. Tess turned around, half expecting to see a coyote or wolf or something and lo and behold; there was another of the beautiful golden puppies! Tess laughed to herself and walked slowly up to the two rejoicing siblings, and handed them each another part of a dog biscuit. She led them both to the pen in the back of Mrs. Mark’s house, and so six adorable golden puppies rejoiced together under the barely dark sky. Tess smiled at the scene, but her smile faded once she realized that she still hadn’t found the last puppy. And, it was almost time for her to be getting back to the puppies’ owner, as he would probably be expecting her before most of the people around here went to bed.

Quietly, Tess fed all of the puppies part of a dog biscuit, and they eagerly followed her towards the ornery man’s home, which was their home. Some of them snarled as they came close, but they all soon were leaping towards it as soon as Tess pulled out a dog biscuit from her coat’s pocket. She smiled happily as she looked at the six of them, all prancing about together. Wait, what? Tess stopped and did a double take. She recounted them frantically and then paused again. Somehow, there were seven of them! Seven puppies! Tess confusedly retraced her steps mentally and realized that somewhere along the way, a seventh puppy had joined the group, without Tess even noticing. She laughed, and then knocked on the client’s door.

The man answered with a rather sleepy and unprofessional look on his face. Tess didn’t quite understand this, since she expected people working in business to stay up late, but didn’t particularly care and let all seven of the puppies run into his house, free and happy. The man grunted and took out his wallet, counted off the correct number of jewels, and handed them to her without another word, without a single thanks. In return, Tess handed him seven small dog biscuits and a huge, a thousand watt, beaming smile. The door was then slammed in her face, and Tess turned away from the door, still smiling. Today had been yet another successful day; she had managed to find all seven of the puppies and not leave a blemished mark on her so far perfect job record. Well, if you could call her jobs so far perfect. Tess still winced as she thought of all the havoc that she had gone through on the library and book job.

Tess kept smiling to herself and walked home, her hands behind her back and her feet light upon the hard road. She was doing good things as a mage, and she couldn’t wait to see where her next job would bring her. Perhaps next time, she would end up battling monsters to save people, or protecting merchants from bandits. She could not stress how much of a good decision it had been to become a mage, and to join Fairy Tail. Tess continued to mull over her thoughts as she began the rather long, but not at all tiresome, journey back to the guild hall of Fairy Tail and the place she now called home.

    ❅❅❅

Tess had taken this job request with a certain amount of reluctance and another of uncertainty. After all, she wasn’t really the type to model, but she had decided to give it something new. After all, Tess was the type to do whatever people wanted and whatever would benefit them, so here she was, trying out modeling. The job request had said that they wanted someone with a beautiful face and body structure. Tess honestly thought she was too young to be modeling, she wasn’t beautiful, and her body structure was average, but she had decided that it didn’t really matter to her and that she would find out when she got there. Firstly, though, she had to find the site of the job, which was apparently the East Forest of Magnolia. She was following the job steps: 0) choose a job, 1) go see the client, 2) complete the job, 3) return to the client & collect reward, 4) choose another job!

Tess was rather nervous about this, since she wasn’t the type to model, but even she knew who Chandelle was and looked forward to at least seeing her beautiful creations. Tess supposed that as long as it was her clothes that she was wearing, she could deal with practically anything in the way of outrageous poses and odd requests. Tess also supposed that the reason that this was a request for a mages’ guild was that the magazine was Sorcerer’s Weekly, because she had been a bit confused about why this was a job that required a mage. Either way, Tess just had to find that photographer, and then she could begin the second step of the job steps.

Suddenly, a thin man tapped Tess on the shoulder. She whirled around and took a step back when she realized the man had a clipboard in his hands and behind him a set was set up. Oh! Maybe she had found the photographer and the set? That was safe to assume, wasn’t it? Then, Tess realized that the man had been talking the entire time.

"We will need you to get dressed over here, in the fashion number I specified a little earlier in this conversation." The man then squinted at Tess, as though contemplating whether she was actually suitable for modeling. "You are zee model, aren’t you, Miss...?" Tess waited for him to continue before she realized that he had been waiting for her to jump in. She blushed ever so slightly. "Tess. My name is Tess. And I apologize sincerely, but I didn’t catch what you said earlier. You see, I was kind of lost." Tess trailed off, losing her thought uncertainly once she saw how angry the man was becoming. She caught the words "Untrained and unsuitable novice" Tess just stood there awkwardly, waiting for him to reply.

Eventually, he looked back up at her. His face had a totally different expression, as though it was a whole other person. "Ah, I am sorry about that Miss Tess! You see, we are a bit behind schedule right now, so I will explain everything very quickly to you. You are to dress in the Chandelle 6 right now, the other models have already completed their tasks for the day, and you are the only one left. Please forgive our rudeness; we are a little bit impatient right now." And with that, Tess was ushered over to a tent-type thing and shoved in with a few hangers filled with an outfit of clothing. "Well, alright," Tess finally replied, much too late.

Inside the mini tent-type structure, Tess had already gotten changed into the outfit. It consisted of a beautiful set of ballet flats, a loose, semi-transparent shirt over a tank top, and a flared and short skirt that had tulle underneath, paired with some stretchy black leggings. It was a very casual outfit, the kind that popular girls wore to school and that Tess might have worn, except for the shirt combination. Once she had it all situated, she opened the flap of the tent, only to have a necklace and bracelet shoved in her face. Sighing, she went back into the miniature tent and put them on. Altogether, Tess liked this outfit, although it was missing a hair piece.

Once she got outside, she inquired about whether or not a different hair style was required, and received no answer form any of the workers, except for a rolling of the eyes from some. Tess didn’t mind not receiving an answer; she wouldn’t have liked to take out her hair anyways, as she always had it in this exact same style and preferred it that way, as it made her feel most comfortable. She looked around, wondering where she was supposed to do her shoot and at which set. Hopefully, it wouldn’t be too complicated, as Tess had no modeling experience what so ever...

Tess just drifted around for a little bit before the same thin man came over, with the clipboard. "Okay, Tess, you’re due over there," He pointed to the far left, where there was what pretty much looked like a natural set, set up, "And you’ll get your makeup done by Miss Chiara, then head over to your set and the photographers there will explain what you need to do." After telling Tess all of this, the thin man seemed to disappear in the blink of an eye, almost as if he himself were magical. Tess shook her head, and then headed over to where Miss Chiara’s makeup station was.

"Okay, ma Cherie, your makeup is finished!" Miss Chiara was a stunningly beautiful woman that seemed to be in her late thirties or early forties. She was very outgoing, it seemed, and she liked to give hugs out, which Tess found out as soon as she had come over to Miss Chiara’s station. Now that Tess’s makeup was done, it was time for her to find her set. The problem was, Tess couldn’t remember which one it was... Was it the one on the far left, or the far right? Tess tilted her head in contemplation and ended up going left and guessing correctly, which was probably a relief for all the workers around her.

Tess was a novice to modeling, so she was having some trouble actually doing the modeling, at the far left set. The workers were doing their best to help her, but she just didn’t understand the mechanics of posing and using the lighting to her advantage and things like that. Tess knew that she was having troubles with this, but she didn’t think it was that big of a deal. She would be fine after a little more practice and a few more shoots. After all, it was expected of her to be mediocre her first time, right? After all, it wasn’t as though it was Tess’s magic, nor was she a professional.

After the shoot was over, Tess darted back into her tent to change back into her 'street clothes'. She slipped out of the ballet flats and skirt, then took off the stretchy black leggings and replaced them with her own white and blue garb. Then, she slipped off the transparent and see through shirt, and the tank top. Eventually, Tess was completely dressed in her own clothes, and she slipped the necklace off, over her head, and put it and the bracelet on top of the clothes. Since someone had taken the hangers, she stacked the clothes with the jewelry on top, and left it on top of table / bench that was in the miniature dressing room. Personally, Tess was glad to be free of the jewelry, since she didn’t appreciate nor like jewelry; however, the clothes were something similar to what Tess was wearing, and she would have worn them under other circumstances. Her job done, Tess then left the miniature to go find the thin man with the clipboard.

Eventually, Tess found the thin man with the clipboard. She had assumed that he was in charge of the day’s shoot for the magazine, and had been correct in her assumption. After finding him and telling him that she was done and that the workers in her set had deemed her photos from the shoot satisfactory, he nodded and handed her the pay.

"Thank you for coming today, Miss Tess. I’m sure that your photos and modeling skills will improve more as you get older and with more practice!" He beamed at Tess, and she smiled back at him with genuine appreciation. Today had been rather fun, and she had experienced less trauma to her body than in the other job, which had originally seemed to be easier than this one. Tess wouldn’t quite call modeling fun, but she could deal with it without complaining. Plus, she loved Chandelle’s clothing lines. They were her guilty pleasure. Tess waved good-bye to the workers and set off back to the guild hall of Fairy Tail in good spirits.
