Ugh... why did she choose of all things to take a shortcut OVER A MOUNTAIN of all things? Well, in her defense, one day up and then another half a day down had been a much better deal to her than the simple idea of spending nearly a week of time she didn’t have in order to go around it. In her mind, she was prepared for the whole experience. It would help her keep herself physically fit even for someone of her size and age, she was up for the challenge. It wasn’t enough for her to have to get to a specific area, but sometimes she had wished she could fly and get to places with ease, however that was not the case. For someone like her, she knew putting the dynamics of flight into a functionality of fire and making that work in her favor had been much of slim to none. Still, the fire slayer needed a way to challenge herself! And well... this seemed like a hell of a way, if she could say so herself. The climb itself though was also at a handicap to her with the sword on her back, she hadn’t much experience climbing landscapes with the sword on her back. She could surely fight with it, but activities like that were an unknown to her... for now.

Being up in the cold mountains had a small adverse effect on her. Being that she was a small ball of fiery fury, Lehanna never truly noticed this until she’d spent time on her own. Moving through winter on her own as an independent minor. Thank god she read up on the laws before they were taken from her in her last foster home. If it wasn’t for specifically looking under certain parameters than she would most likely have never found the things she was able to have found out. When she discovered her first winter, it became apparent that her magic could fluctuate her appearance some. Hair and eye color would shift shades, while her body remained the same, keeping its more necessary portions warm. It was a very strange phenomenon to say the least, but she could make it work and it wasn’t anything bad enough that she had to worry about it, thankfully.

The trip through the Phoenix mountains was a tougher traverse than she anticipated. Had it not of been for being able to deliver heat enough to carve her own markings into the mountainside, she would have had a much harder time to climbing. Thankfully she had come to find a trail along the way, be it covered in some snow, the trail was thinner in some areas and it didn’t take a genius to realize that. A harsh gust of wind began to blow against her, the cold too much for bare skin to look towards and instead she turned her attention the other way. There sat a large building. One settled on a mountain? It seemed a little ridiculous, but this wasn’t the time to be making brash decisions. The young girl trudged through the bit of snow on the pathway until she got the buildings doors, grabbing hold of the handle as another heavy wind blew through, pushing her against the door as she tried to open it. With a small squeaking Yelp, she fell onto the ground, jumping straight back as the wind had begun jumping up the skirt of her outfit and it really REALLY wasn’t comfortable. As she got up onto her feet, she brushed off her shoulders, her skirt, and kicked her shoes off before she looked up and realized how lively looking a building like this. ”Where the heak am I?” She asked herself aloud, not thinking anyone was around at all currently.

There were few things more satisfying than a full belly. Mercury had been hard at work most of the day so far, keeping herself busy as always. Vandrad had put her through their morning workout, being his unreasonably awake self at god awful early morning hours, as usual. After that was done and they’d gone through some of her piano lessons, Mercury had returned to the guildhall for a shower and to get some work done. She’d been in the labs for most of the day tinkering with an artifact that one of the Hunters had brought in. Mercury had gotten so focused on her work that she’d completely lost track of time and didn’t realize how long she’d been at it until her stomach was audibly growling for sustenance -- which was pretty typical for her.

So, she had gone to get something to eat and on her way back to the lab she passed through the lobby just in time to see a young girl enter the foyer. The gust of wind from outside had been enough to practically dump the poor thing into the room, lifting her skirt up behind her as she fell to the ground. Brushing herself off and standing back up, she looked around and asked out loud where she was. That was odd. Most people that came to Silver Wolf knew where they were. It was usually pretty busy, since it attracted a great deal of tourists that wanted to use the spas. But generally, most people couldn’t even find the place without getting help from either the wolves in the area or guides that knew the route to the building, meaning that anyone traveling there already knew where their destination was. Clearly, this one did not.

It was curious enough to catch her attention. “You’re at the guildhall for Silver Wolf,” Mercury told the girl, approaching her with an easy smile. The ace was dressed in her engineering jumpsuit, a grey article with a red belt at the waist and red stripes on the sleeves. There was a brown leather pouch strapped to her hip and thigh, as well as worn leather boots on her feet. A pair of gloves were currently tucked into her belt, as she had taken them off while she was eating and had yet to put them back on. “If you weren’t looking for us then I take it you aren’t here for the spas. Where were you headed? Not a lot up here in the mountains besides us.” If the girl was lost, Mercury would do what she could to help her, though it was odd that someone so young would be traversing the mountainside on her own. Still, she didn’t want to make any assumptions so she would let the girl speak for herself before seeing what she could do to help her out.

Fire, Ice, and Metal (Mercury) Empty Re: Fire, Ice, and Metal (Mercury)

Post by Lehanna Seraph 12th May 2020, 10:16 am

In a small, sudden chill shot up her spine, the young girl rolled her shoulders and let off a little shudder from the winter air. Normally she hadn’t let the cold bother her too much... but then again she did eat that campfire before she started her climb... char roasted pine tree wood tasted a little better than she had anticipated really, however she wasn’t that much of a savage. It helped ration out her food supply for going over the mountain side, so logically that seemed to be the best choice for her at the time to do so. It helped keep her warm as well, so that just seemed to be a bonus for her in the long run. However now, she wasn’t more interested as to why someone would try and live up in an area like this, stuck in a more isolated area and left to their own presence and left to- Well... maybe they met Odhran. That man alone made her want to seek out a place like this.

She’d barely taken a step into the hall at this point when a voice spoke out. Her head turned to see a woman in a jumpsuit, presumably a grease monkey type of person from first appearance on break. It seemed to be too upscale a place for someone in that job lifestyle, but as she mentioned the building was a guild hall. ”You mean.. like a mage guild type of guild hall?” She questioned, her attention looking around and away from the stranger for a moment while she took in the theme of the decor around her. It was warming, to say the least. Her mention of spas got her to look back as a little look of realization popped onto her face. That explained a bit to her to say the least, bit the sound of another gust of wind against the door got Lehanna to move away from it, trying to continue to warm herself up some more. ”Well that explains the scent of steam and heated charcoal I caught on the way up...” With a small shrug of her shoulders, she dismissed the idea of hallucinated hypothermia as an option now.

”Well, I’ve been trying to get to a specific location.” The young slayer finally answered now, her arms folding at her chest. ”I needed to make it there in the next.. oh gosh it’s... I believe it’s in the next week. I was cutting down several days of time be climbing and going over the mountain rather than around it.” With that out of the way, she would remove the strap from around her chest, lifting the sword from her back and then leaning it against the wall. ”And that is a huge weight off my back for a while, if you don’t mind. The thing must weigh as much as I do...” As she turned back towards the woman in the jumpsuit, she figured it be best to start as being in another persons home essentially had to warrant her starting introductions. ”Anyway, my name is Lehanna. Lehanna Seraph.” She accompanied her greeting with a small curtsy, one she had grown up enjoying to do prior to her last home being more.. traditional in her greeting. However, she was able to overcome the desire to stop, just in more cordial and appropriate situations did she stomach past it.

The young girl seemed surprised when Mercury told her she was in a guildhall, seeking clarification that it was an actual home for a group of mages, like the other guilds in Fiore. “You got it,” the lavender haired woman told her candidly, confirming the woman’s revelation with an amused smirk. As she looked around, the girl remarked on the scent of steam and charcoal that had preceded the building on her way up the mountain, stating that it seemed a reasonable enough confirmation of Mercury’s claim.

Satisfied with the answer, she explained that she was currently traveling to a place she needed to get to within the next week, and sought to cut a couple days off her traveling time by passing over the mountains rather than going around them. Mercury raised a curious brow. “That’s quite the feat. These mountains aren’t exactly hospitable, even in the best of times.” She watched as the girl relieved herself of the burden of her weapon, leaning it against a nearby wall and speaking her satisfaction of the removed weight before introducing herself.

“It’s no problem at all,” she told Lehanna with a small chuckle as the younger woman curtsied. “I’m Mercury Arseneault, Ace of our Scholar branch. Please feel free to hang out and relax. We’re all about that, here. Despite being a guild for mages, we have a bit of a side business as a tourist attraction. The guild is set on top of some natural hot springs from the mountain, and a lot of people come to visit for some pampering. In fact, if you need a place to stay for the night we have guest rooms available for reasonable prices. We also have a restaurant here if you need something to eat.”

Jabbing her thumb over her shoulder, Mercury pointed toward the area she’d just come from. “As far as your journey goes, the Phoenix Mountains probably aren’t the type of place you wanna trek through on your own. The wolves are generally well mannered, mostly because they are used to people being in the area, but there’s more than just wolves lurking out there. Not sure exactly where you’re headed, but if you need a guide of some kind through the mountains we could probably work something out with you. All of our members are pretty familiar with the area, and are trained to handle its dangers.”

Mercury’s emerald eyes flicked briefly to the huge sword still leaning against the wall and an appreciative smirk tugged on her lips. “Not that you necessarily need protection, of course. I highly doubt anyone would carry around a weapon that big unless they knew how to use it. But it doesn’t hurt to have a little back up.” The ace was quite curious as to this girl’s story, but prying would be rude and this wasn’t the place for that. For now, she was content to just do her part to make Lehanna feel welcomed as a guest within the confines of the guildhall and to see what kind of services they might be able to provide the younger woman.

Fire, Ice, and Metal (Mercury) Empty Re: Fire, Ice, and Metal (Mercury)

Post by Lehanna Seraph 23rd May 2020, 11:06 am

The young girl took another look about the guild hall as her question over the type of place she had been introduced to was confirmed. ”I didn’t think I’d ever get a chance to enter one of these without the need to look for someone or pitch requests.” She remarked, her hands adjusting the strap of her bag while she was attentively looking about the place. Mercury had mentioned that she was a little more concerned at the fact she’d traveled the way she did given the environment and the things that lived around the mountains to say the least. All she did really was nod accordingly, knowing full well of the risks as she’d taken out a bottle of water from the back on her shoulder and took a quick drink from it before depositing it back inside. ”Yeah, the few slightly charred and injured monkey looking creatures down the way pointed that out to me real quick.” She just rolled her eyes following that comment, not so much in retort to the remark made by the woman, but more so to the lack of effort she had put in to get them to back off.

Setting the attention back down to the hands on mage, she introduced herself as the ace of the Scholar branch of the guild. Immediately, her brow raised with curiosity. Lehanna had a bit of a stereotypical view point on guilds of they either went out to fight or to cause mayhem and death. To know there was something aside from that got her more intrigued to the idea as a whole. Even the mention of a side business using the hot springs sitting within the mountains was a bit ingenious if she had to say so herself. It made her a little bit more aware of the idea that she was among people who knew a thing or two about topics she could use the advice and guidance of. ”That’s pretty impressive. I can’t imagine there being much business unless there were safe passage for patrons up and down from the springs.” A voice of concern over something obvious, but none the less she felt the need to mention it.

She needed to backtrack now for a moment. Though she wanted to poke into this branch that Mercury had been an ace of, which to her meant she was higher in the guild food chain than others. That plan though went out the window again as Mercury had continued on for a moment to mention that the types of things around the mountain might become a bit more dangerous despite the guilds location at the mountainside. She was certainly right, but what if she could cut that by using whatever way people got up and down from these spas, assuming the spas were located near the guild hall rather than down by the base. No matter, that could be taken care of later. But the ace mentioned that she didn’t have too much to worry about having a sword like the one she’d carried on her back and left resting against the wall. Peering over to it, then back to the conversation, the slayer just shrugged. ”He’ll come back for it eventually. Vulcan is a very... hot headed god. But, I digress.”

She brushed off the notion of her meeting a god as if it were nothing. In truth, she just stuffed down the idea she was angry at him still, or in general rather. The fire slayer simply wanted to move past that and back onto a topic that brought her some joy. ”So, 80. Please, tell me more about this scholar branch.” She asked, now able to express the interest solely on the merit of learning being what she wanted the most out of her life. For a good moment, Lehanna has entirely blanked that she had done what she did, but when she did, her face turned a slight pink. ”I-I-I... I got a bit mixed up... I’m used to only relating the name mercury to the periodic table....” She was slightly embarrassed, her eyes shifting away while she did her best not to look as shameful as she felt for the honest mistake.

It seemed Lehanna had run into a couple of the Vulcans on the way up the mountainside. That was unsurprising, and while she didn’t comment on it Mercury didn’t miss the subtle admittance that the young girl had fried them to death in some fashion. It was confirmation enough that she could at least handle herself out in the wilds, which was more than most people could boast. Lehanna admitted to being impressed about the set up of the guild and its side business, assuming that it probably wouldn’t be too successful unless there was a safe way to and from the guild up the mountain. Mercury grinned a bit. “Well, there is and there isn’t. There’s no sure path. The guild is actually protected by the elements and by magic to keep out anyone with ill intentions toward us. They’d never find us. But those who are looking for us to deal business or interact with us peacefully are led safely up the mountain by the wolves. It’s actually very rare that we have someone such as yourself accidentally stumble upon us without intent.”

They chatted a bit more, or rather Mercury did as she explained a little more about the guild’s purpose and some of its functions, offering to work some things out for Lehanna if she needed a place to stay for the night or some warm food to eat. At the nod toward the large sword the young girl had been carrying, Lehanna simply shrugged and mentioned that its true owner would be back for it eventually, who was apparently some kind of Vulcan god with an anger problem. She didn’t seem too fascinated with the idea that she’d met a god or stolen from one, but on the flip side Mercury was equally unfazed by the notion. Gods and demons were still concepts that she was struggling to put in perspective, as they didn’t exist in her culture. She had only just started learning about them less than a year ago when she’d come to Earthland, and from all she’d learned Mercury honestly didn’t really see what all the fuss was about. As far as she could tell, they were just really strong people that lived longer than the average humanoid.

But even if she had been wanting to, Mercury wouldn’t get the chance to comment on it as the girl inquired about the scholar branch of the guild that Mercury ran. Lavender brows furrowed a little in confusion. Had Lehanna just called her… eighty? That was a strange nickname. Her exposure to Earthlanders so far had taught her that nicknames between strangers wasn’t altogether uncommon. Hell, Mercury used them on strangers all the time. But usually nicknames were things like… nods to a person’s physical appearance, or parts of their personality that were easily drawn from even a quick meeting. She’d never heard of someone using a number as a nickname. Was this a cultural thing that she’d missed in her studies of the planet all this time, or was Lehanna herself perhaps from another place she hadn’t visited yet?

Mercury wouldn’t have to wait long for her answer. Lehanna must have caught the questioning look on the Silver Wolf Ace’s face as she turned a slight shade of red and explained that she’d reflexively referred to Mercury by the number associated with the element on the periodic table, which was how she was used to talking about the elements. Enlightenment dawned on her then and Mercury felt a little silly for a moment about forgetting the periodic table was even a thing here. She had studied it in depth before, of course, and knew it by heart, but given that the list of elements her people had was… much larger than that available to Earthland, and organized in a different manner, it wasn’t a reference she was readily able to catch.

She chuckled. “Honestly, I’m just a little ashamed you even had to explain it to me. I should have been able to work that one out myself. As to your question, the purpose of the scholar branch is pretty straight forward. See we have three branches here: Hunters, Defenders, and Scholars. The Defenders are charged with keeping the guild grounds, it members, and its guests safe from harm. The Hunters, on the other hand, go out into the world and search for artifacts of different natures. Things with value in fields like culture, language, magic, technology, history… that kind of thing. They bring those items back to the guild, and that’s where the Scholars take over. Our job is to analyze them for their usefulness and understand them so we can then categorize them and use that knowledge to expand our own resources. We also do things like preserving and restoring such artifacts.”

Mercury tilted her head a bit in curiosity, giving the girl a studious look. It occurred to her that if Lehanna draw the numbers so easily off the periodic table -- a skill that not even half of her Scholars were capable of, as the numbers were much more difficult to recall than the names of the elements themselves -- science and the study of it was likely a large part of the girl’s hobbies. “You interested in that kind of stuff?” she asked, now more than a little drawn to the notion that this young woman that managed to randomly stumble into the guild could wind up being a potential new member.

Fire, Ice, and Metal (Mercury) Empty Re: Fire, Ice, and Metal (Mercury)

Post by Lehanna Seraph 22nd August 2020, 12:36 pm

How things were being explained to Lehanna made a lot of sense. Thankfully, she had been dealing with a very down to earth person whom didn’t seem to downplay things because of her age. It made things easier to adjust to as well as feel as though she weren’t some lost child ready to have the loudspeaker over the mountain asking for her parents to come up to the guild hall to reclaim their wandering child. God grocery shopping on her own was aggravating... However, when she pictured the way that Mercury had been describing the process in which people would make it up and down from the mountain without any clear way, the concept made sense in several ways. Some of which seemed to be as though they were thinking a little too far ahead, but some of the best things came from over thinking. ”Yeah, I seem to have that kind of luck in my life it seems...” She said, giving a slight eye roll and sigh after.

Her comment was nothing to mean that she thought this to be nothing new like good things just kept happening to her. She wasn’t used to just doing something in her life without having some form of luck or ill amount of it happening. As push and pull effect of sorts. Her prime example laid to her litter of foster homes which landed her the one she met the man who helped her to learn her magic, then the family after who treated her like a prisoner. Kept in a small room underneath the staircase and often left ignored for anything from small conversation to entire meals. Never giving her the reason, they had been the catalyst for the next push of her being free from them. Now she was just waiting to get the pull back from this pushing. There just had to be some kind of grand pull that would probably take her balance away in the process and be left struggling to get back on her feet afterward. It was only a matter of time.

With herself though now embarrassed over her habits having caused her to misaddress Mercury by the element on the table of elements, she had seemed to not have caught it at first. Frankly, she wasn’t thinking about it, but Lehanna did put on a small smirk. ”W-Well, you know what they say. It happens to the b-best of us, right?” Meant to be a way to hopefully cheer her up a little more, the scholar ace began to explain how the guild was broken down and how each part functioned in its own part to cohesively work. The idea was rather well thought out and honestly it sounded all over like a great place to be and grow as both a person and a mage. There was a need to put herself out there in the world if she were to ever achieve the goals she wished to do in life and frankly starting small was probably in her best interest.

Though while her mind had gotten a little lost in itself thinking as to the things she could possibly get into learning while here, a sudden question reared itself. One that she had for a moment returned lost attention onto the lavender haired woman. ”Y-You mean like joining?” Lehanna asked, completely caught off guard by the notioned thought of having been invited to join. ”If.. If you’re serious, I honestly believe you had me at the words ‘scholar branch’. B-But yes, i would love to join if you’re ok with it.” The blue haired teen would give a brighter smile, ecstatic underneath the calm demeanor that she was showing. Though she did have a couple light ticks that give away that excitement. ”I’d be willing to answer anything else you wanted to know or needed to ask as well. I have nothing to hide, so feel free.” Her offer was meant as a formality as though she’d been applying for a job, but this was certainly much different than taking someone’s order or fixing an iLac.

The younger girl quickly caught Mercury’s meaning when the ace asked if the type of work they did for the guild was anything of interest to her. Lehanna hadn’t climbed the Phoenix Mountains in search of Silver Wolf, but fate or whatever one wanted to call it had led her there anyway, and it was rather fortuitous that she seemed so intrigued by what they did. Hell, it seemed like she already had quite a bit of schooling in the field of science, or at least chemistry. Not even the average scientist just offhand knew all the elements of the periodic table, so Mercury was quite certain Lehanna would fit right in.

The girl herself expressed that her attention had been piqued at the mention of the scholar branch, and that she would be more than interested in joining if they would have her. “Absolutely! We love people with a passion for science and are always open to new recruits. As long as you can keep to our code about making sure you never do anything that jeopardizes the guild or its members by painting a giant target on our backs for the Rune Knights or Magic Council. We’re an independent guild which means the Council more or less leaves us alone to our own devices cause they don’t perceive us as an active threat. We’d like to keep it that way. But that’s really about it. So if that sounds fair to you, then that’s all I really need to know.”

Mercury waited for a moment to get some kind of confirmation from Lehanna that the behavioral expectation was reasonable. Once that was given, she’d wave the girl over toward the front desk. “Then let’s get you set up. I just need to know what color you’d like your tattoo to be and where you’d like me to put it. Then I can get you set up with a room if you need one. Not all the members live in the guild hall, but a lot do.” Wandering over to the front desk, Mercury opened a drawer behind the counter and pulled out the stamp, taking a moment to adjust the settings to what Lehanna desired. “Why don’t you give me an idea of any kind of magic or skills you have that we might find useful, and then after we get you all set up as an official member I’ll give you a tour of the guild.”

Fire, Ice, and Metal (Mercury) Empty Re: Fire, Ice, and Metal (Mercury)

The chipper way that Mercury brought to the table when she had been looking to accept her into the guild had her blush. She hadn’t been expecting it at all really and thankful for the opportunity she was being offered right now. Beyond a chance to expand on her knowledge, there was the offer of housing and though she didn’t really think much of it, it had to be much easier to do this than for her to sit by and make much more than a couple IQ points and a couple dollars. In the big picture, she’d most likely learn a lot of things she didn’t have the opportunity to do when she was bouncing from foster home to foster home. The one thing that did cause her a little bit of concern was that Mercury mentioned that she would have to be sure to remain compliant to the guilds code and keep to making sure the Rune Knights and the Council had been kept from breathing down their necks and causing them troubles or any inconveniences. ”Outside of age and independent issues some older people have towards me, I have no issues holding myself to those standards, Ms. Arseneault.” The young girl replied, seeming to be less than worried about doing anything of the sort to upset the guild at all.

Moving towards the desk as Mercury motioned for her to do so, she would grab the sword she brought up with her and then lean it up against the counter while the elder woman began to get things together. She began to think about the tattoo location and color at once and thinking where the most logical, but least revealing type of place. She could only imagine some rather... degenerate types would put them on their breasts, rear ends, thighs, or other provocative places. Disgusting really. ”I think I’ll go with my left wrist, please. Oh, and... pink is ok for the color.” Not one to be the rather girly type, she had been hesitant on colors, but frankly pink stood out in a functional manner to the young girl. ”And.. if I can be a bother and ask for a room, I would greatly appreciate it. I was planning on making it down the mountain before I got sleep, but frankly it’s getting exhausting to me right now.” With a small smile, she had tried to hide the fact she was a little nervous over having to impose on the idea of being set up with a room in the guild hall.

The last thing she was looking into was that Mercury asked about her magic and her skills. It took her a moment to think it all over, but she had to look up to the ceiling and gauge the height before looking back down and picking up the sword. ”Well, I’m an adept in swordsmanship, plus this one I have had an ability to release flames from it. I was considering showing off, but I don’t think here is the best place. Aside from that, the magic I possess, at least that I know of are from this old book a foster parent of mine had let me read when I stayed with him. Everything I know of magic and how to fight was from him. Apparently, and from my experience, it is rather effective against gods. Whether you believe in them is up to your interpretation, but I digress.” With a small shrug, she would lift up her raise her left hand and snap her fingers, making a small black flame as though it were on the top of a candle flicker on her fingertip for a moment before it would extinguish itself. ”Is there anything else you need, ma’am?” She wondered, making sure not to sound impatient, but rather she was trying to make sure all the bases were covered before moving on.

Lehanna agreed to the condition that Mercury had laid out, with some allowance left in regard to the girl’s young age and the fact that there were people in her life who apparently had some bones to pick with her. Impressive that someone so young already had people breathing down her back over personal grievances. Mercury flapped a dismissive hand. “That shouldn’t be a problem. Shit happens. Really we’re more concerned with members willfully having a disregard to protecting the guild. Accidents are unavoidable, as are enemies sometimes. Though as a point of interest, since it sounds like you got a few less-than-friends in your life, you might like knowing that they will never be able to find you here. There is an enchantment that protects the guild and keeps anyone with ill intentions to us or our members from finding us.”

She twirled the stamp lazily between her fingers as she waited for Lehanna to let her know what settings to punch in. The girl gave it some thought and decided upon one of her wrists, with the color being pink. “Coming right up,” she told her, fiddling with the stamp until it had what Lehanna wanted. While Mercury accepted the girl’s wrist and set the stamp upon it, the request was posed to accept the offer of a room, if only because her trip had become more exhausting than she’d anticipated. “I think we can certainly arrange something.”

With a playful smirk, Mercury pulled the stamp up, revealing the new tattoo in all of its pink glory. “Welcome to the pack, kiddo!” As she put the stamp away, Lehanna described a bit of her abilities, which primarily seemed to revolve around sword fighting, flames, and some mysterious abilities meant to fight gods. The last bit sounded like slayer magic, which Mercury herself had only recently acquired and started to understand. However, given that she had yet to tell anyone in the guild that she had access to magic, Mercury elected not to broach the subject. Either way, it seemed that the young girl was a warrior, despite her age. She even took a moment to demonstrate a bit of the magic, conjuring a small, black flame on her fingertip. “Oooh, that looks nifty,” Mercury complimented her, eying the fire with keen interest.

Once it was gone and Lehanna was inquiring about what came next, Mercury waved her to follow. “Next we’ll go ahead and get you set up with a room so you can crash. Honestly, you can get a tour of the place whenever you want, so why don’t you go ahead and get rested first? Your room will be pretty bare for now, but it will at least have a bed and I can get you some clean sheets and blankets to use until you’re able to get your own.” Leading the way to the residential wing, Mercury made sure to get the girl set up as quickly as possible and, true to her word, ensured that Lehanna had some fresh linens to use. Once she was sure the new recruit was all set, she’d leave her to her privacy and rest, knowing the rest could come later.
