In the Shadows of the Moon Empty In the Shadows of the Moon

Post by Kitalpha Aurence 3rd June 2020, 6:46 am

The tracks were fading fast. Too fast. And with the impending rain that had been brooding to jump across its celestial threshold, the scent too was slowly ebbing away. The blonde woman's thread became less careful, and more violent in its way. Sneakiness would do her nothing if her target would get away… or worse, if it were to reach the edges of town before she could take it down. A looming rumble rolled through the dark clouds above, urging her to go faster. If it were to start pouring she'd truly be in for some trouble.

Annoyed, Kitalpha stopped in her tracks and inhaled. Red eyes flickered until their crimson glow became permanent; two red dots in the shadows of the forest, strengthened by the to-be full moon tonight. The fastest way to find her prey was to allow her body to tap into the very foundation of her curse, and to enhance her senses through it. A sharp, muddy scent with a hint of metal stitched through it filled her nose. It grew stronger to her right, which her body almost instinctively followed. A soft turn, on the tips of her toes, and when she was facing into the proper direction, she started running. Fast. Faster than before. Like a lean predator she dashed through the forest, dodging the occasional low-hanging branch or overly-extended root, her eyes determined to close in on it. A sound, and her direction changed instantly, breaking her trajectory with a 90 degree angle; something one would think hard if they had seen her attire at that point.

Long golden grieves, thigh-high covered by the crimson cloth fitted between the tassets covering her waist. Her lower half was heavily armored, whereas her torso was the exact opposite. A single arm was covered from shoulder to her fingertips in similar golden armor, with a torn loose top to cover everything up to her midriff. Thick, red-lined patterns running her exposed abdomen, and golden earings, a bracelet and necklace ornamenting the remainder of her phsyique. A strange mix of ready-to-battle and ready-to-play. Yet it didn't bother her movements in the slightest. In fact, the blonde seemed to move as if she wasn't even wearing any type of armor in the first place. A crack, of a small dry twig breaking, and Kitalpha leaped, ready to tackle whatever was beyond her sight unto the ground.

It would not be the first time that Toppa was attacked by an angry woman, nor likely would it be the last. But it would be one of the most memorable.

A fledgling mage had just successfully entered into what was once was, and still is, legendary guilds of all time. Knowing next to nothing of magic and armed with only his wits and the small fortune availed to him, the youn entrepeneur had just successfully secured what was going to be a very fortuitous and healthy relationship with what could essentially be called the strongest neutral guilds of all time.

This had its benefits, firstly, that they would now be a first contact point for security, assassination, political espionage, bribe, blackmail, subterfuge, gerrymander, coercion, and any other kind of blacguarded activity his devious mind could think of. Second, he had just taken his step into a world of power, and being able to apprentice under the security of such an established location was, for the most part, a miraculous stroke of luck.

Little did he think he could actually sign a membership with just a few words and pretty curls, but it happened. Of course, he did assume that there would be some degree of give or take.

But what happened next, he could not account for, not even with his prescience. He was simply walking alongside what he had thought to be a safe road down from Magnolia to his lodgings, when suddenly, a great chill spread across his spine, followed by the crack of a twig. Toppa's instincts kicked in.

Like it or not, he was supposedly part of a warrior bloodline, and though he had never trained a single day in his life for warfare, this bloodline helped him now. As if prepared for a moment of death the instant it struck him, Toppa spun backwards, sticking his forearm out on instinct to prevent the predator from sinking its teeth into his neck.

Instead of an animal or beast, what he saw instead was gold. Gold and red. Gorgeous ruby eyes, refined and slender features, a full breasted chest, and plated armor that weighed down her entire body in what could have been an additional twenty pounds of gilded steel. The girl launched atop of him successfully, the weight pinning against his chest as Toppa's surprised ruby red eyes met hers, as his body collapsed onto thankfully soft dirt with an "Oof!"

"Easy, easy." He called out, his voice intentionally hushed and soft, as if attempting to lull the girl. Even if he was not trained to fight, he was certainly trained to remain calm under pressure, and this was certainly an abnormal situation. What was the cause of this? He thought to himself. His immediate instinct was to go for the easy answer, it was a woman scorned, a heart he had broken, a lie he had given out to a hopeful heart and dashed to the ground.

Yet the girl looked like none of his exes. Perhaps it was just for a night?

Releasing his arm from guarding his neck, Toppa's hand instead moved to behind the girl's neck, his other hand caressed her chin as he pressed his lips into what would otherwise be a very aggressive and scorned woman, sliding his tongue into hers as his leg slid between her thighs, pushing the girl's crotch upwards to leverage her body for ease of access, before pulling away from the kiss.

It may have stunned her, or not, either way, it was not something he expected to pull him out of the situation, just one that would give him time to think of a solution.

In the Shadows of the Moon Empty Re: In the Shadows of the Moon

Post by Kitalpha Aurence 8th June 2020, 4:14 am

Of all things she was expecting to find behind the thicket, beasts, creatures, rugged and strong predators roaming the forest, she had not expected a human to be the reason she was about to tackle down. Her leap had been to strong to divert or change its trajectory, nor to lessen the power with which she slammed into her human target. All she could see was red eyes looking straight at her in the very moment their bodies met; startled, but ready, with his arm bracing his neck. And thus, down they went, with a rather powerful slam into soft sand for him, and a soft body for her. Kitalpha had tried to undo the furiosity with which she'd started her assault by turning her otherwise battle-ready stance into that of a bag of potatoes flung unto someone instead. Rather than pinning the man down from the get-go, she now laid atop of him as if she'd fallen rather unflatteringly.

A soft growl escaped the blonde as she pushed herself up, still on all fours with her hands resting beside his head, the rest of her body looming over him. She'd shook her head before looking at him, her crimson eyes still glowing brightly, her pupils elongated to resemble those of a feline predator. His words were hushed, but she could hear them clearly, only granting them a glare in return as she was about to speak. He looked awfully calm for someone just tackled unto the ground, as if the dark-haired man was expecting to be taken down like this. Curiosity flashed past her brow, and as her expression was lingering to soften, his hand slid behind her neck. Kitalpha frowned as his other hand caressed her chin, yet the very moment she wanted to pull away his lips met hers, his tongue invading her mouth before she even realised what was happening. An attempt at driving his tongue out with her own, that looked more like she was reciprocating his kiss to longer she took to do so. She hadn't even realised his leg was pushing her up until she pulled back.

Baffled. Flabbergasted, and left panting. The taste of coffee and dark chocolate still roaming inside her mouth as she sat there, staring down at the man with the red eyes for a few moments while her mind tried to wrap around what had just happened. Then, something in her eyes shifted, having decided what to do with the situation at hand. A soft smile crept upon her lips, gentle and kind, as she took hold of his collar to pull him closer. Nimble fingers wrapping themselves tightly around the cloth while she too got closer-- only to headbutt him full in the face.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN TRYING?!" she roared, loosening her grip as soon as her head had connected with his, only adding a small push for him to fall back down unto his back. Satisfied, she sat back up, and eventually got back unto her feet, throwing the man a nasty glare. "I know I shouldn't have tackled you like that, but that was an accident. I thought you were something else. But you can't tell me that that kissing was all accidental too! You do that to every girl that jumps you?" Kitalpha bravely ignored the way she'd put her words, realising immediately after she'd spoken them that they could illicit a different reply from the man. The blonde crossed her arms and stared down at him again. His taste still lingered on her tongue, and unconsciously she mumbled another few dedicated to it. "Even though that coffee and dark chocolate mix was rather tasty… Rose Garden's Dark Ebony coffee, I think?"

He had not expected a kind response, and even as his attacker's smile formed against her face, her eyes told him all he needed to know. He had violated some sanctified territory only known either to her or someone she knew personally. Which was why as she pulled him closer, Toppa remained as on guard as possible.

After all, no regular person randomly tackles another person down.

His fears were confirmed as the woman, again, attempted a second attack.

While Toppa was not particularly well versed in magic, he reacted fast enough to prevent the majority of the damage to his face, by tilting himself to the side so that her foehead would not strike his nose, but his cheekbone. THe force of her head, combined with the vicious strike, stung heavily against his head, and collision between him and the ground hard enough that it dizzied him for a bare few moments, before anger rushed through his head.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN TRYING?!"

He heard, a shrill scream, bitter and miserable. "I know I shouldn't have tackled you like that, but that was an accident. I thought you were something else. But you can't tell me that that kissing was all accidental too! You do that to every girl that jumps you?"

Toppa scoffed as her hands released him, as he scrambled back up and backwards, running ah and against his face, which now had a deep swelling mark against his cheek where she had headbutted. The bone did not cut past the skin, but he was still livid at the situation. "Even though that coffee and dark chocolate mix was rather tasty… Rose Garden's Dark Ebony coffee, I think?"

"Excuse me?" He retorted, his words carrying an understandable tone of both bewilderment and anger. "You tackled me onto the floor as if you were to kill me, and you're worried about me kissing you?" Toppa folded his glasses and slid them inside his now dirtied blazer, "You think me suddenly kissing you to stop you from assault is enough to justify you headbutting me in the face? And you have the gall to try to continue a casual conversation afterward? What on earth is your issue?"
