Magnus sat patiently at the Clover Train Station as he waited for the train headed to Magnolia to arrive. He'd taken a day away from the guild to check out other parts of Fiore and to finally try out some other modes of transport - walking around the country was far too inefficient to keep up for the long-term. But for some reason the train was taking a considerable amount of time. There was quite the crowd of people waiting for it too, many of whom were beginning to get restless and bicker amongst one another. Finally, just as Magnus was preparing to find someone to find out what was happening, the overhead tannoy gave a ring and a voice broke out over the crowds. "We are sorry to announce that the next train headed to Magnolia is unfortunately cancelled. This is due to a blockade on the train line. We are trying our best to resolve the issue, and we thank you for your patience."

Groans and cries of despair broke out among the crowd, people yelling angrily at the sudden revelation that they may not be getting home anytime soon. Magnus however had other things to be doing - if there was something that was blocking the line then he might just be the man they'd need to sort it. He headed towards the station gates and found a man in a suit and a hat, not unlike the man he'd seen organising things at Magnolia Train Station. He must be important, so Magnus immediately approached him. "I'm Magnus Gyre of Fairy Tail. Is there anything I can do to help?" he asked softly - Kaido was teaching him not to be loud all the time, so he was trying his best to keep his voice lower. The man turned around and, upon seeing Magnus' guildmark, sighed with relief.

"Well ain't you a sight for sore eyes right now?! We been having some trouble by these pair of annoying whipper-snappers, a goblin and a vulcan who keep terrorising and being a general nuisance at our train tracks for a few weeks now. Usually it's small things - verbal abuse towards customers, standing in the way of the train when we're trying to depart, that sorta thing. But now they just went ahead and blocked the whole damn southern line with a great old tree! We can't even get the train into the station! They say we give 'em 100 pies and 100 tubs of sherbet or they'll never move the bloody thing! Needless to say we can't give 'em what they're demanding, but those rascals are holding up the trains and we might even have to close the station at this rate! If you can go over there and teach 'em a lesson, so we can get things moving again, I'd be eternally grateful!"

Magnus listened intently, then smiled from ear to ear as he cracked his knuckles - this task was perfectly suited to him. "Is that all?! Leave it to me." he replied with a laugh. The controller sighed with relief. "They're just down there. Give'em an extra little one-two from me while you're at it won't ya?!" Magnus laughed again and nodded. "I will!" he called back as he jumped onto the tracks and began running up the line towards the two creatures. It didn't take long to reach them - they'd set up camp almost directly outside of the station itself. Neither took too kindly to Magnus approaching them either. "Who-oo-oo are you-oo?!" the big, ape-like Vulcan yelled, punching the ground. The goblin spoke up next, leaping up and down on the spot angrily as it realised Magnus hadn't brought what they'd demanded. "Useless! NITWIT! Where's our FOOD?!" it screeched. "You don't get any." Magnus replied as a small amount of magical energy formed in each of his hands. "Unless you want to eat these? Chaos Barrage!"

He flung his hands forward and six orbs of black and white magic shot from them, three at the goblin and three at the Vulcan. The Vulcan was quick though and leapt to the side to avoid them. The goblin, being in mid-rage stomping mode, was not so fortunate as the three orbs hurtled towards it and smacked it square in the nose, sending it flying over the large tree behind it and out of sight. Magnus couldn't even hear it screeching and yelling anymore so he assumed it was unconscious. That suited him fine as the Vulcan seem far more interesting to fight. The ape leapt from its new position and was immediately on the offensive, swinging at Magnus with its huge fists. It was all Magnus could do to dodge each one until one particularly lucky right hook came close enough that Magnus had to block it, bringing his left shoulder up to take the brunt of the force, which sent him skidding back a couple of feet.

He barely had time to recover when the Vulcan lunged at him again, this time aiming for a drop kick. This was much easier to handle as Magnus quickly grabbed both of the Vulcan's ankles and span around once, twice, three times, before releasing the beast, sending it crashing into the tree. It staggered back to its feet, dazed, but far from finished. It roared angrily and charged at Magnus again. But in the time it had taken to get back to its feet, the Chaos mage had already prepared his next move. "Chaos Blast!" he yelled as a burst of black and white magic shot from his hands, crashing into the ape's chest and sending it off-course, missing its adversary by a good two or three feet. It redirected itself quickly though, planting one huge fist on the ground and using its own momentum to do a 180 degree turn and charge straight back at Magnus. This beast was too fast for Magnus to handle right now. But he could change that. A black and white aura started to coat Magnus' body as he spoke the words of his next spell; "Chaos Control!" Upon speaking the words, three orbs began to orbit the big man's body. As the Vulcan came crashing into him, the three orbs came together and solidified, causing the ape to smack straight into a wall of solid magic and come to a screeching halt. Magnus took this opportunity immediately. The aura around him became thicker particularly around his fists and feet as he enhanced his Chaotic Strength. He began pummeling the beast with a series of left and right hooks before pulling his right fist back and punching the beast hard in the chest, with enough force to send it a good twenty feet away.

The Vulcan was visibly beginning to tire by now, panting and groaning with the strain of pulling itself back to its feet. But it was either too proud or too stupid to know when to quit - a cruel irony considering its opponent - and it leapt high into the air, both hands locked together in a hammer-like movement, intending to crash-land directly upon its opponent. Unfortunately its air-time gave Magnus all the time in the world to prepare his next attack; "Chaos NOVA!"

A huge black and white orb formed in the man's hands and he launched it directly at where the Vulcan was coming from. With no way of avoiding the attack, the Vulcan landed directly in the center of the orb, which exploded on impact and sent the ape flying high, high into the air. By the time it had stopped travelling upwards it was just a dark speck against the blue sky. After a few moments it began to descend, although Magnus had no idea where it had landed as he'd turned his back - his attention was drawn back to the goblin who had seemingly come to and was now charging at the Fairy Tail mage itself. Magnus shook his head and pulled a leg back, before punting the goblin as hard as he could; the goblin flew back at alarming speed, its little body smashing into the tree and through it, splintering the center of the tree as if it wasn't even there. Magnus brushed himself off and, from the platform not too far away, he could hear cheering. A group of people, including the controller, were running up to him with smiles on their faces and waving happily at him "By jove you did it! Our engineers can 'andle the moving of the tree now! A tree on the line is nothing special as you can imagine, but trying to get close with them blighters there was a damned nightmare!" the contoller cheered, before offering his hand to shake Magnus'. Magnus looked at the man's hand for a moment, then back up at his face. The controller looked back awkwardly and pulled his hand back. "Well, you 'ave my thanks. You were 'eaded to Magnolia right?" he asked, trying to recover from the awkwardness. Magnus nodded, but couldn't get another word out before the controller spoke again. "Well this journey's on us, lad! First-class! Now come along, the train'll be coming in shortly and we don't wanna be on the tracks then hahaha!"
