The vibration of the ship ceased. Kyran's eyes flew open. He'd been calming himself with those vibrations. Trying to find a more peaceful solution for this. Masha was missing. He couldn't find her. Couldn't contact her. He ran in circles with no real egress in his mission. The redhead was done. Every single thing connecting him to the WFTC had been left behind. Only personal for this visit to Amber Island. Even the flying ship was paid for personally by him. If this visit went sideways, the Company wouldn't take the fall for it. That being said, it happened to be an impulsive move. Gaia hadn't been informed at all. Kyran could regret that later.

The redhead jumped off the ship. As his feet touched the ground, all of his power radiated out from his body. Nothing impressive for the important people on the island. It wasn't meant to be intimidating. Just to grab some attention. Even girded for war, Kyran had little illusion what would happen if he got in a fight with DI management. They'd crush him fairly quickly. The redhead took a deep breath. He had to keep his temper under control. Otherwise, he might start a fight anyways.

"Dies Irae! My sister is one of you! I've been looking for her for three months and I'm sick of waiting! Come give me the answer's I've been seeking!" He shouted as he walked toward the HQ. The demons moved excitedly within his mind. They pushed for violence. Pushed him as close to the edge as they could manage. Kill! Fight! Destroy! Claim Sister! Ahriman roared. They've hidden her fate. Find out. Put them in their place. Destroy their HQ in response. Teach them who the Alpha is. Medea whispered in his ear. Kyran shook his head trying to ignore them. He was here for peaceful regress. No fighting was required. Hopefully.

The water is where Nico felt most at peace. Hearing the waves roll over one another and crash against the sandy beaches reminded him of his hometown on Shadow Island. The smell of salt and grand stretch of blue that covered the horizon for miles upon miles brought him back to a simpler, happier time. Memories of playing on the gravelly shores of Shadow Island with his younger brother came to mind, and knowing his neighbors and their favorite foods accompanied it. The sea shells, the mountains, the farmers and the merchants who frequented their quaint town so often. These were his happiest memories, but he rarely felt happy thinking about them. A gut-wrenching, deep remorse overcame him every time he thought about them and what he must do, but it was a discomfort so familiar to him that it no longer burdened his heart and plagued his mind so overtly anymore. Instead, he struggled silently.

The shores of Amber Island is where Nico spent most of his time. There, he would train, reflect, or stare out into the open sea, alone with his thoughts. Much to his surprise, not many people ventured out so far from the Guild Hall and stayed for much longer, leaving him to his own company a lot of the time. Needless to say, Nico being somewhat of a social butterfly, he didn't stay out for too long. Otherwise, he'd began to feel somewhat lonely. He sat there on a relatively large boulder, placed far from the shore but offered a great view of its sea, about to head back to the Guild Hall. He was wearing his usual black, open vest with Gelu Morsus strapped to his back. There was nothing that kept him there, after all. But today would be different.

"Hm? What's that?" Nico perked up, noticing someone approaching. There was a visitor, and he came from a flying ship unlike any other Nico's ever seen. Not only that, whoever was riding it pulsated with mana that far exceeded his own. It was impressive, but it was also a conscious decision to radiate one's power like that. Who was this sorcerer and what could they want so badly enough to flaunt that sort of mana?

Finally, Nico could put the mana to the face! A shorter, redheaded man hopped off of the airship and wasted no time in announcing his arrival. "Dies Irae! My sister is one of you! I've been looking for her for three months and I'm sick of waiting! Come give me the answers I've been seeking!" the man shouted.

"You're gonna have to yell louder if you want someone to hear you, ya know!" Nico laughed, his expression animated and cheerful, like the sun. His entire countenance was plastered with a sort of happiness distinct only to Nico, and a conviviality that was hard to resist. He had walked over to the man without hesitation, instead with deep interest and eagerness to meet someone new. Without delay, Nico extended his hand to shake. "Name's Nico! Why's a guy like you all the way out here on Amber Island? You aren't here to admire the Throne Hall, are you?!" he grinned.

The redhead cocked his head as someone answered his call. Interesting. He let the wind swirl around his fingers and into the air, carrying his message forth. "I think I've yelled loud enough." He replied, his words almost soft enough to be swallowed by the sound of the waves. Masha had been in constant contact with him since landing on Amber island six or seven months ago. Her abrupt silence had worried him but he hadn't let it bother him. That is until he hadn't heard anything for two weeks. That's when he'd started searching, sending missives to Dies Irae. No response. Perhaps he'd placed the wrong address on the envelopes.

The WFTC CEO shook himself as the mage before him approached. He appeared high with the amount of exuberance and happiness he was putting forth. Surely that was against DI regulations? The redhead scratched the back of his head. Best not worry about it. If he ever got the chance to talk to Johann, Kyran might put in a word about this one. He clasped the offered hand. "Name's Kyran. I'm lookin' for my sister, Masha. She joined Dies Irae when it was formed. Perhaps you know her?" It'd be a stroke of luck if this Nico knew Masha. All Kyran wanted was news that she was alright. Or the body if that was how things had turned out.

Something struck the slayer as odd. He'd purposefully chosen a desolate part of the island. This was an unofficial visit, personal in nature. Plus marching up to DI HQ didn't seem the best way to resolve this issue peacefully. So why was a fairly pleasant - if doped up - youth doing out here? "What are you doing out here, Nico? You don't seem the type to enjoy the breeze and the calm of nature over pleasantries and human company." He commented, putting his hands in the pockets of his duster. Now that you mention it... there's no one around. Malinda hissed, slithering across his mind. Not a soul to hear him scream Erebos cackled. Medea prowled forth, her claws digging slightly. Destroy him! Let your power make him tremble! Ahriman howled, rattling the cage Kyran had made for him. The CEO pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. These four expected violence even if he was trying to avoid that outcome.

"Excuse me a moment." Kyran said to Nico. He turned to the left, reaching into his duster. Four hand-sized white animal-like puppets were pulled forth. The redhead set them on the ground. Blood spurted from his thumb suddenly, dotting the ground. Ignoring the mess, the slayer pressed his thumb into each puppet. A quick symbol was drawn on each. The symbols were similar, almost the same to the naked eye. It wasn't until one looked closer that the differences made themselves known. Once Kyran straightened again, he fed a thread of magic into the puppets. They shuddered violently, transforming rapidly. The furthest one on the left became a small wolf with black red tipped fur. Burning crimson eyes sat below a heavy brow and lips pulled back over impossibly long teeth. The wolf snapped in Nico's direction. Kyran spat a word and the wolf sat on its haunches with a whimper. The next puppet transformed into a golden house cat. After cleaning itself, the cat leaped onto Kyran's shoulders and settled down. The third puppet became a long deep purple python. The snake hissed, curling up where it formed. Its head hung in the air waving slightly back and forth. The snake's gaze was locked on Nico. The final puppet became a ball of shadow hovering in the air.

"Nico, meet four pains in my ass. These are demons trapped in my head." Kyran explained, watching each demon warily. "They might look docile and under control but don't underestimate them. Even with all my power, I struggle to control them." The redhead slowly crouched, holding his hand out to Ahriman. The wolf nipped his hand but pushed his head into Kyran's palm. The slayer chuckled softly. He scratched behind the demon's ear. Ahriman's back leg started going, thumping against the ground repeatedly. "Of course, sometimes the bastards can be nice." Erebus floated over to Kyran's left shoulder. Medea hissed, batting at the shadow ball. Kyran rolled his eyes, straightening back up. He didn't have time to indulge their childish fighting. "Now, would you happen to know how to check the current status of a DI soldier? Or, failing that, how one could contact someone that might know?"
