    Magic Name: Language of the Abyss
    Magic Type: Primary Lost
    Description:

    Language of the Abyss is a somewhat older magic, and a subset of ocean or water magic.  With it, the user draws power from the life-giving aspects and deathly aspects of the sea.  The magic is divided into two different spell types; the Spells of the Upwelling that are meant to heal and breathe life, and the Spells from the Depth that are a demented, harmful version of the aforementioned.  This magic is generally cast by a series of different incantations and songs.

    Ezekiel is one of the few users of this magic, accidentally stumbling upon a book titled Draíocht, and learning the basics of magic.  He primarily uses Spells of the Upwelling to heal and help others, and generally fears and avoids the Spells from the Depth that conjure unholy beings.

    Unique Abilities:


    • Selkie Voice: This ability gives Ezekiel a latent nack for music and dancing, as well as allows him to substantially remain in water longer than the average person, even sing when submerged.

    Name: The Sea Krait's Venom

    Description: A spell that turns water into a dark purple fluid, capable of healing just about any wound or physical ailment.  It can cure extremely efficiently, but at the cost of a very painful exchange.  In order to use this spell, the user must plunge their hand into water and chant the word ‘nathair.’ When cast, a magic vial of enchanted venom will form in the user’s hand, ready for use.

It is said that this spell was used in the past to tame large, angry creatures and spirits as well as strengthen the bond between summoners and their summons.

Despite the violence of this spell, the user must whistle a solemn mourning song, after which follows black clouds and shattering quakes in the earth. Heavy, metallic rain pelts enemies and forms dark puddles that grip onto foes’ feet like shackles.

    Description: A terrifying dark spell by which the user casts a handful of black-water beams at a single target, tipped with jaws like an eel’s.  The beams seek and latch onto a target and never leave the user’s hand, simply extending like a cord.  When they grip onto a target, they drain the opponent’s vitality and return it to the user.  In order to cast this spell, the user extends their dominant hand and chants the word ‘glamhadh!’

    Description: Similarly to the Song of the Selkie, the user must use their singing voice in order to cast this spell successfully.  However, the ghostly torsos of two sirens appear and aid the user with their song, and the user will not be able to end this spell until the song is over and must continue singing.  This spell is not sung with words, but simply the whistle-like tones of ocean winds.    The Siren Song spell will drain magic power from all enemies nearby as well as weaken water magic and cause nearby plants to wilt.

    Description: A forked tongue forms at the user’s mouth and escapes, finding its way towards the enemy and hiding around their collar, constantly whispering into their ear traumas and demented thoughts. It causes enemies to hallucinate heavily and lose sight of everything except the user. If the foe cannot escape the user in time, the spell will be completed and drain a heavy amount of magic power from the foe and gift it to the user. It is thought that the tongue belongs to Naomh Fas, or Saint Nothing; Abaddon.

    Description: One of the most powerful Spells. The user calls upon the power of a mighty sea nymph, or Undine. A feminine figure made from glowing, teal colored water appears with white veils and floats around the user. The Undine will continually heal the user and teammates and at the same time lull enemies into drowsiness. The summoned Undine will also blast enemies with jets of glowing water. To summon, the user simply calls upon the name ‘Ondine!’ As powerful as this summon is, it pales in comparison to Abaddon.

    Description:

    Language of the Abyss is a somewhat older magic, and a subset of ocean or water magic.  With it, the user draws power from the life-giving aspects and deathly aspects of the sea.  The magic is divided into two different spell types; the Spells of the Upwelling that are meant to heal and breathe life, and the Spells from the Depth that are a demented, harmful version of the aforementioned.  This magic is generally cast by a series of different incantations and songs.

    Ezekiel is one of the few users of this magic, accidentally stumbling upon a book titled Draíocht, and learning the basics of magic.  He primarily uses Spells of the Upwelling to heal and help others, and generally fears and avoids the Spells from the Depth that conjure unholy beings.

    Unique Abilities:


    • Selkie Voice: This ability gives Ezekiel a latent nack for music and dancing, as well as allows him to substantially remain in water longer than the average person, even sing when submerged.

    Name: The Sea Krait's Venom

    Description: A spell that turns water into a dark purple fluid, capable of healing just about any wound or physical ailment.  It can cure extremely efficiently, but at the cost of a very painful exchange.  In order to use this spell, the user must plunge their hand into water and chant the word ‘nathair.’ When cast, a magic vial of enchanted venom will form in the user’s hand, ready for use.

    Description: After taking a deep breath, the user imbues the surrounding air with healing magic and a salty scent.  Then, the user makes a fist and blows all the air from their lungs through it, releasing a cloud of white, nutrient rich dust that progressively heals allies.  In order to successfully cast, the user must chant the words ‘ceò-draoidh.’

    Description: A soothing spell that does not require an incantation.  Rather, the user places their hand on the target and hums a sailing song, and a faint blue light will form, allowing the user to heal minor wounds.  It works by forming a tide within the target’s blood, calming the heart and speeding up the body’s natural healing process.  When performed, both the user’s and the target’s hair and eyes will glow their natural colors.

    Description: This spell soothes all those who hear it into a slumber-like state and summons a channel of seawater that sweeps the user away from danger.  To cast this spell, the user must sing a song in the old language and focus magic into their voice.  When cast successfully, the user’s body will glow teal blue and a ring of water will form around their feet, then carry the user away from danger.  Ezekiel typically uses this spell to slow down foes' attacks and dodge incoming strikes, rarely using it to actually retreat.

    Description: To invoke this spell, the user must sing a joyous sea shanty and dance.  During this, the user is able to calm any storm and restore any damage caused by battle as well as heal a fair amount of allies and raise their spirits.  This spell calls upon the power of the ancient Sea Mither, the spirit of spring and rebirth.  It is said that this spell was used in the past to tame large, angry creatures and spirits as well as strengthen the bond between summoners and their summons.

    Description: Unlike its counterpart, the Vore Tullye spell, the Gore Vellye is a destructive, apocalyptic spell bringing about fierce storms.  It is said that this spell invokes the power of the nuckelavee; a demon of winter and rot.  Despite the violence of this spell, the user must whistle a solemn mourning song, after which follows black clouds and shattering quakes in the earth.  Heavy, metallic rain pelts enemies and forms dark puddles that grip onto foes’ feet like shackles.

    Name: Abyssal Tearer

    Description: A terrifying dark spell by which the user casts a handful of black-water beams at a single target, tipped with jaws like an eel’s.  The beams seek and latch onto a target and never leave the user’s hand, simply extending like a cord.  When they grip onto a target, they drain the opponent’s vitality and return it to the user.  In order to cast this spell, the user extends their dominant hand and chants the word ‘glamhadh!’

    Description: Similarly to the Song of the Selkie, the user must use their singing voice in order to cast this spell successfully.  However, the ghostly torsos of two sirens appear and aid the user with their song, and the user will not be able to end this spell until the song is over and must continue singing.  This spell is not sung with words, but simply the whistle-like tones of ocean winds.    The Siren Song spell will drain magic power from all enemies nearby as well as weaken water magic and cause nearby plants to wilt.

    Description: This spell channels the power of unseen creatures from the depths.  Semi-invisible tentacles resembling that of the kraken’s form around the user, allowing them to swipe at and flog enemies.  The tentacles are clawed and contain a poison that impairs opponent’s movement and vision.  The spell is cast when the user says the word ‘breathas!’ and can be easily dispersed if the user is hit by a light spell.

    Description: A forked tongue forms at the user’s mouth and escapes, finding its way towards the enemy and hiding around their collar, constantly whispering into their ear traumas and demented thoughts.  It causes enemies to hallucinate heavily and lose sight of everything except the user.  If the foe cannot escape the user in time, the spell will be completed and drain a heavy amount of magic power from the foe and gift it to the user.  It is thought that the tongue belongs to Naomh Fas, or Saint Nothing; Abaddon.

    Description: One of the most powerful Spells.  The user calls upon the power of a mighty sea nymph, or Undine.  A feminine figure made from glowing, teal colored water appears with white veils and floats around the user.  The Undine will continually heal the user and teammates and at the same time lull enemies into drowsiness.  The summoned Undine will also blast enemies with jets of glowing water.  To summon, the user simply calls upon the name ‘Ondine!’  As powerful as this summon is, it pales in comparison to Abaddon.
