When Iris brutalized someone during their time together at Talonia's autumn solstice festival, Ahote was quick to drag them both back to Capital Crocus where they could retreat to the familiar and bustling Boomslang. It was open, but judging by the way Ahote had stormed in with squinting, angry eyes and a sort of irritability to his aimless gait, it wouldn't be open for much longer.
Ahote didn't stop to drop his jacket somewhere and instead walked behind the bar counter to grope around for a familiar water jug left at room temperature. He struggled to find it in the place where he usually left it and felt his patience begin to thin. Behind him, an undead servant of his polished unused glasses as he normally would.
"We're closing early, alright? Get everyone out of here." Ahote grumbled underneath his breath to his lich, who silently complied and proceeded to empty Boomslang as politely as he could manage. Luckily, abrupt closings were not uncommon and unfamiliar to Boomslang's regulars, knowing that they'd reopen again tomorrow or the day after. Understanding this sporadic schedule, they were quick to comply and the club was left with only the usual trio and his servants no more than fifteen minutes later.
By the time the club had emptied, Ahote had finally managed to find a glass and his water without the help of his servants. With acute irritability, he fixed himself to a stool and played with his hair as he normally did when grumpy or upset. "This is precisely why we can't have nice things, Iris!" Ahote complained, looking in his friends' general direction with the same sort of revulsion he had when he first learned what Iris had done, "What do you intend to do with those eyes now that you've acquired them? What do you do with eyes once you've taken them?"
Ever since Ahote was small, but primarily during his adolescence, his vocabulary never seemed to be below a certain standard even during his most unkept of times. Even when angry, there was a distinct politeness to his tone that made his irritability cute, funny, or incredibly unnerving. Such was the same to this occasion.
