Ring ring, ring ring... The sound of a familiar ringtone rung against Sojiro's tired ears, followed by a vibrating in his right pocket. With a grunt he would place his newly purchased book into his school's duffel bag and reach down to grasp his phone, checking the ID. 'Taku' was what it read which caused a groan to leave his lips before he'd slide his finger across the screen, bringing the phone to his ear,"What's up, Taku-san?" On the other end of a line was the loud voice of a man, causing Sojiro to flinch away from the phone, sliding his finger along the side to lower the volume to try and save himself a literal headache. His soft purple eyes watched cars fly by in the street, the sky turning shades of orange as the sun set,"I just picked up that book for our English assignment. I'm about to head to the library for a bit." And Sojiro was silent for a few moments as Takumi began to spew about this and that, the blue haired man holding the phone to his ear with his shoulder now. As he let out a long yawn, he'd turn to start walking up the stairs to a large building,"Yeah, yeah, I hear you Taku-san. I'm heading inside now though, I'll see you when you get here?... Definitely bring some drinks." And with that he'd hang up his phone, turn the ringer off before sliding it back into his pocket.

Sojiro would enter the public library and proceed to sit down at a four person table, placing his bag on the seat next to him. He'd take off his red framed glasses for a moment, placing them on the table and rubbing his brow as he sighed,
"God, I'm so exhausted..." He'd take a few moments to rest his face in both his palms before he felt a short vibration in his pocket. Pulling out his phone again there was a text from Takumi; *What type of soda did you want? And any snacks?* To which Sojiro would take a moment to ponder before replying;*Dr. Pibb. And is that even a question?* And with that he'd place his phone on the table next to him, sliding his glasses back on before he'd reach into his back to pull out the book. It was a thick, leather bound book with a crimson cover. The Hero Spirit Contract, what an odd name but it sounded like a more interesting read than their last assignment. Sojiro turned to the first page and was immediately stressed by the sight of the page, the words on it so small that they blurred before his eyes,"Oh come on..." This caused the man to scan it quickly before setting eyes on the signature line on the bottom,"I guess when you spend a lot of money on a book like this, you should expect it to be eccentric for no reason." And swiftly did he mark his name down on the line...

A few moments passed before there was a sudden stabbing in his chest, starting as pins and needles before increasing rapidly. Sojiro was engulfed in so much pain that as he tried to scream nothing but empty air came out of his lungs. Wasn't he too young to have a heart attack?! He was too healthy, he was positive! The man tried to stand up, his knees buckle underneath his weight almost immediately as he'd topple to the side onto the bag with his belongings. Both him and the chair would go toppling to the ground with a loud thud as his vision blurred, one hand grasped tightly against his chest with the other reaching desperately for the edge of the table. In that moment Sojiro Sakura's vision faded to black as he felt, what he thought, was his heart explode...

    ......Meanwhile....
In one of the forested clearings in Sakuramori, powerful energy swirled in the area as it went from a bright afternoon to a cloud-filled one in an instant. Power magic crackled in this opened as a summoning circle appeared in the sky, tearing open a rift that blew the grass flat and the tops of trees to dance furiously. The energy seemed to be feeding into the center of this circle as it reached an climax, exploding with a furious bolt of lighting that collided with the ground. And then, as fast as it had arrived, it was gone. The clouds cleared and silence fell over this portion of the forest, the bolt of lightning not damaging the area in the slightest. All it left in its wake was a confused young man with sapphire hair, sprawled out on his back wearing a white shirt, a red tie, and black pants to match. The only detail on his was an unfamiliar insignia on his left pec for his shirt, as well as a large duffel bag with the same insignia. Slowly Sojiro would regain his consciousness, grunting and squinting from the bright sunlight.

Summoned from another world! Empty Re: Summoned from another world!

Post by Karasuki 8th June 2019, 12:00 pm

Karasuki Kitsuharu sat crosslegged on her blanket upon the hill. She wore a flowing pale blue dress with a leather belt around her waist. The female had set her over the shoulder book bag down beside her and flicked open a new novel with large printed text. She stretched and let out a contented sigh in the afternoon breeze, "Such perfect weather today." She had taken the job in Sakuramori for two reasons. One reason was to earn a little money; killing some exotic forest creatures shouldn't be too hard for the payment due by the end. The other reason was to find some time to herself to read in a beautiful place. She had spent the better part of the morning hiking through the forest, tracking the creatures.

The Kadachi were large creatures, the size of lions, but could climb trees like squirrels. The blue beasts were avid predators in the area but their numbers had increased after a few years of fair reproduction. Its long thick fur slid against the ground and trees as it moved, and it was said that the Kadachi creatures used that static electricity to be able to pull off electric based attacks on its prey. She had never seen one herself, only knowing the tracks and stories from other adventurers who had made the claim of increased population. The hunters had told her that killing even two would be a blessing, but not to kill more than five which would negatively impact the environment. Karasuki was pretty sure that she had found the nesting grounds for the Kadachi and had settled on climbing up the hill in the forest, to the break in the trees, and allowing the warm sunlight to wash over her fair skin and light up the pages of one of her books. Taking a short reading break wasn't going to hurt anyone. The purple haired mage sipped at her bottle of water and read her novel out loud, finding where she left off the night before with ease.

"And he fell through time and space, traveling between his world and the Void. He left the realm of monsters behind, eager to return home to his family. He left the worries, the fears, and the undefeated sorcerer in the shadowland. Once home, he could renew himself and make a plan of attack, but for now, the man's heart swelled to think of his beloved wife waiting at home with a babe in her arms. How many months had it been? Between the time in the Void and here? How old had his son become? Would she remember his face? As the hero fell-"

Suddenly a rift opened in the sky above, covering the clearing in shadow. Karasuki stuck her thumb in the book, holding her page, and then closed it. Her eyes lifted upwards, squinting as a body seemed to fall from the clouds. There was a flash of lightning and Karasuki shielded her eyes. When the purple haired woman looked once more, a young man was lying there on his back. It was a man with blue hair, a red tie, and a large bag. Karasuki made a face as Geralt chimed up in her head, "Did you have to summon him so roughly?" "I didn't summon him!" She argued back, though a part of her wondered if maybe she had. Was this a new type of magic? Had he come from the book in her hand?

She swallowed hard, still sitting there on her blanket. She waved a free hand to the man and called out, "Are you the hero from the Void? Did you come from the Shadowland?" She looked guilty and apologetic. What could be the coincidence here!? The man fell from the sky as she said the words 'the hero fell'. Surely, this was her doing, and she felt terrible for it. This was not how her summons typically made their first appearance.

Darkness surrounded the man for what felt like hours, like floating in a dark pool of endless water. Even though he saw nothing but darkness the youth could tell that there was something, or perhaps someone, lurking just out of view. The feeling of being watched increased over time until it was unbearable, causing him to begin to panic before a bright light suddenly flooded his eyes. His vision blurred as he looked upon the bright blue skies of Fiore, slowly settling onto the image of a passing cloud. As he lay there, he felt no more pain in his body from the heart attack previously, but why was he outside? That was perhaps the most alarming part, Sojiro slowly sitting upright and taking in his surroundings with a blank expression on his face.

The trees were huge here, the tops various colors that he had never expected trees to be,
"Am I... Asleep?" That would make sense, if he had fallen asleep at the library while waiting for Takumi to arrive with snacks and drinks. He watched a small white creature crawl across the ground and into a tree, his brows furrowing as his stomach churned a bit,"That definitely wasn't a squirrel..." It was during his time of slowly examining his surroundings that a voice rung against his ears, causing him to wince. He hadn't notice the ringing in his ears until he was spoken to, causing him to wince heavily and cover both of his ears in response. Slowly would he pull them away and the sound of animals chirping and moving in the distance would begin to fill his ears. What he did notice was the immediate lack of modern day traffic. Even where he lived you could hear cars passing by from any of the parks, no matter where they were.

    "The Void? Shadowland?"

What the hell was she going on about? Sojiro would stand up to his full height of five feet and eight inches, dusting off his school attire the best that he could while trying to keep his calm. There was something off about this whole situation and nothing was really rubbing him the right way, but he wouldn't get any sort of answers if he didn't keep his calm. "I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, miss. But if you could just direct me to the nearest bus depot, I can find my way home from there." He would begin to approach the woman with his firm gaze scanning over her form to try and assess if she was crazy or not, seeing her first comments were about some madness or other. Nothing around here really looked like his town, or even the surrounding ones, so he could only wonder how far he was taken.

Was this some kind of sick prank by Takumi?
"Did you see a tall man with spiky blonde hair? I have a feeling a friend of mine may be playing a prank on me. I'm sorry to ask you so many, what may seem to be crazy questions, but where are we exactly? This doesn't look like San Fran Tokyo." Sojiro would raise a hand to his cheek and scratch it in an embarrassed manner, trying to muster up his best grin under the current circumstances. Once he got his hands on Takumi, he was going to wring his unreasonably thick neck.

Summoned from another world! Empty Re: Summoned from another world!

Post by Karasuki 8th June 2019, 5:32 pm

Karasuki pushed up her red frames along the bridge of her nose, having looked downward at her lap in guilt. His arrival hadn't felt like a summon, it hadn't felt like her magic, but how else could he have arrived here? As he said the words, his tone indicated honest confusion by the words "Void" and "Shadowland". If he hadn't come from the book, then how else would he have gotten here? Was it a spell gone wrong on his end? Was there a nearby mage who splashed through the teleportation magic as if it were the shallow end of a pool, blundering around in the ocean of advanced spellcraft without guarantees of efficiency? Geralt couldn't help but laugh, filling the woman's ears with a deep-voiced cacophony of amusement, "If this isn't yer doing, he's all kinds o' screwed now!"

Karasuki looked at her book and touched it fondly with her hands before releasing the page she had been saving. The pirate villain was being a jerk about it, but he wasn't wrong either. Whatever was going on, this guy needed her assistance and the novel would have to wait. As she put it away into her bag, her golden Sabertooth guild tattoo shined in the light upon her left forearm. Karasuki talked to the male without looking at him, focused on gathering up her blanket next, folding it before glancing at the blue haired man. "Well, if you're trying to get home I don't think you should try that by yourself. This is Sakuramori. Normally, it is a mix of safe and dangerous, but I came here on a job to kill some beasts. It helps the forest ecosystem," She explained. "Sometimes the spirits of the forest can do cruel things, but I haven't seen anyone but myself in the woods today. That is... until you appeared. I can help you get home, but I do have to finish my job first."

The purple haired woman pushed some stray purple locks from her bangs away from her eyes. It caught her eye that the male had a similar style of glasses as she did and she gave him a half smile. He really did look lost in this place. "I have never heard of San Fran Tokyo, though I guess I haven't traveled as much as I would like. I do read a lot though, can you give me a better idea as to where you're from?" She laughed a little, "When you fell from the sky in a bolt of lightning, I thought I must have accidentally summoned you from my book! I'm sorry for making the assumption, but were you practicing a teleportation spell of your own? Your technique might need a little work." Geralt snorted derisively, "A little work?" As Karasuki listened to the man reply to her, finishing her folding and setting aside the blanket, she suddenly felt a strong presence. All of the hairs stood up on her arms and her hair even began to frizz a little in the heated static air. She narrowed her eyes, swinging her head like a pendulum to see where the Kadachi was. She could sense the creature, but she could not see it.

She felt its eyes on the pair and she inhaled slowly, lifting up a hand to silence the man, "Be quiet and still a moment. Try to be calm, I think the beast is near."

Sakuramori? Sojiro had been to all of the surrounding towns in his area countless times and, throughout all his years of schooling, had never heard of a place by that name. Great this lady really is crazy... I'm not going to find any help here. From that moment on, it wasn't as though he was completely disregarding what she said but he was definitely filing it away as mad ramblings. As she would speak he would begin to pat down his pockets slowly, finding his wallet in his back pocket, the receipt for his book, and that was all. He grunted in displeasure at finding that his phone was no where on him, but he'd move to take a knee and place his bag in front of him,"Slay some beasts? So you're a hunter?" She spoke of spirits and that annoyed him to some level, the moment that she seemed to start talking some sense she was immediately lost again.

"Listen here miss, did Takumi put you up to this? You shouldn't let his good looks fool you, he's just using them against you. There's no way you haven't heard of San Fran Tokyo, it's the Capital, after all. This prank is just in really bad taste, ma'am." He wasn't sure what kind of voodoo was being used on the woman in front of him, he knew that his friend was attractive but to get her to play along this hard? She was even out of Takumi's lead, Sojiro thought, but it wouldn't be the first time the blonde brute boxed outside his weight class. The man's hands would push through his bag, pulling out his katana and placing it next to him on the ground before going back to the inside contents. His brows furrowed as he continued to fail at finding his phone, rummaging through his swim team uniform, some papers and mechanical pencils, and finding it no where. He was beginning to grow annoyed as he would place his blade back inside his bag, closing it up and standing once more.

"Summoned me? Teleportation Magic? Lady, please. I really wish you'd stop insulting my intelligence, I don't know what type of demeanor I give off but surely it isn't one that would fall for such... Rubbish." He'd raise his right hand to his face, fingers pushing his red framed glasses up some so that he could rub the bridge of his nose firmly. I swear, I'm going to kill him when I see him. God, this is worst than that time in Sophomore year... The blue haired man would shake his head and move to look towards the forest as she began to speak of beasts,"Lady, please, you can just drop the act. I'm going to just head off and hope I run into someone more willing to be helpful. Have a good day." And with that, Sojiro Sakuro would move to turn away from the female and walk directly into the forest she had been warning him of.

Summoned from another world! Empty Re: Summoned from another world!

Post by Karasuki 10th June 2019, 10:17 am

Karasuki looked at him perplexed, her eyes wide with surprise and confusion. She watched him empty his bag, pulling out a sword. "Well, today I am a hunter, but it's not my job. And with your friend, I don't mind helping you find him either." Geralt crossed his arms, speculating inside of the young mage's head, "Ye can't expect a man t' fall out the sky and be all right in the head. Maybe ye should summon 'im back, hm?" Karasuki took a deep breath, appearing outwardly frustrated as the man in front of her called her ma'am and doubted her. She was only trying to help and the pirate in her head was making the whole thing worse. She cleared her throat and said, "I am sure it is the capital of wherever you're from, but it's not here in Fiore. And teleportation magic isn't rubbish, maybe you're just rubbish at it!" She bit her lip as soon as it slipped out. She was trying to help but the way he talked to her got under her skin. Karasuki looked guilty again as she said, "Sorry. It's hard when you're first learning magic to get a handle on it. I shouldn't have said that."

When the man pinched his nose and started heading into the forest, she stretched out a hand. When she opened his mouth to call his name, Karasuki realized that she didn't know it. She hesitated and managed to get out a, "...UH.." before a rush of electric energy rippled over the clearing. A large beast with bright blue fur, shaggy and bristling, moved quickly on four legs from the trees. It dashed forward to the blue haired man, stopping barely 10m away from him. The air crackled with static and the wind of his appearance would cause the grass to bend and the man's hair to stick upwards. The Kadachi must have noticed the strange lightning from the sky and the odd weather had brought it closer. Being in the nesting grounds of the Kadachi, Karasuki wasn't even sure this was the only one. It had bright yellow eyes and serpentine fangs lining its red gums. It hissed and growled, stamping at the ground and sliding long claws against the dirt, moving its rear backward as it took a pouncing position.  The ground was torn open, grass and dirt ripped deeply enough for the human imagination to take hold and picture what those claws could do to flesh. Karasuki dropped her bag and ran to the man's side. "Listen to me very closely. I have learned all I can about the Kadachi. Look down at the ground and lift your hands, palms up."

Karasuki needed to kill the beast, but in such immediate attack mode, she wasn't sure she could do so and ensure the safety of the blue haired man. She considered her own summons, the things she could do to prevent the situation from escalating. As long as the guy listened to her, she was sure that she could draw it towards her in an effort to keep her sudden battle to her advantage and keep him safe."Ye could let me help a little. Water and lightning don't really mix." Karasuki nodded to herself, mentally preparing to attack and waiting to see the man's reaction. His reaction would affect the Kadachi and she would need to maneuver accordingly.

Summoned from another world! Empty Re: Summoned from another world!

Post by Sojiro Sakura 11th July 2019, 10:15 am

There was a moment where Sojiro had actually wished he hadn't woken up from Takumi's prank as this crazy woman began to ramble on about some place by the name of Fiore, the fact that magic does exist, and that he was just shite at using it. He grunted at her in response, mentally noting that he shouldn't trust any of the people in the immediate area. It was clear that Takumi had gotten to them all in some way, presumably his unreasonable charm for a brute like him. The blue haired man would slowly lower his hand to his side, casually strolling into the open as he heard the woman make a noise at him, rightfully ignoring it...

...And that was when it happened, there was an explosion of lightning that erupted in the area in front of Sojiro, accompanied by a beast that he'd never seen in all the books that he'd read during his stint in both high school and college...
"Just what the fuck is... That... Thing...?" Swiftly it became less important of what the beast in front of him was. His soft purple hues would be shown more as his eyes became a wide, his calm and annoyed demeanor from just a few moments before quickly being replaced by an expression completely engulfed with a type of fear. His eyes fell from the direct form of the best and moreso towards the claws that it was digging into the ground, tearing it up as though the world was made of paper mache in its touch.

"Wh-what... T-T-Takumi... This... Funny... This isn't funny!" Finally the man would go completely pale at the prospect that what was happening in front of him could actually harm him. Even if this was some type of dream, who in their right mind would want to just stand there and do nothing?! His brain didn't even register the voice of the woman as she tried to speak to him, all he could see was the beast in front of him as tunnel vision overwhelmed his vision. His breathing began to pick up faster and faster, his chest beating so loudly in his ears he thought he was watching one of his schools band practices. If he just stood still and let the beast eat him, chances were he would finally wake up from the weird place he was dreaming about!

"Y-yeah... That's right... This... Is all just a dream... One big crazy dream..." He was muttering to himself with no shame, Karasuki most likely able to make it out seeing he was no longer aware of her presence... Yeah, all he had to do was just stand there. The man would start to spread his feet so that they were even with his shoulders, staring the beast down with a completely terrified look on his face,"Y-yeah, I can beat this thing... This is my dream!" And with that the beast looked like it was ready to pounce and suddenly all the strength he had mustered was melted like ice cubes in the mid summer. Sojiro's body pivoted and he would move to run in the opposite direction from the Kadachi, letting out a loud scream. His arms would move with his legs, showing that the youth was pretty fast all things considering but as the lightning beast reared up to jump and launched at him, Sojiro's back was completely exposed to the beast. And the Kadachi had it's eyes set on a very vulnerable and weak prey.

Summoned from another world! Empty Re: Summoned from another world!

Post by Karasuki 13th July 2019, 9:11 am

Karasuki was quick to react, expecting the predictable Kadachi to attack. It was showing signs of aggression and unless the strange man, who had yet to give his name, actually listened to her (which seemed unlikely), the beast would surely move to maul him. Karasuki cast her first spell to protect the rude stranger who had fallen from the sky. She enunciated quickly and loudly, "To achieve the power to protect the sacred conch, young Aurelia had to give up her voice." Appearing in a water-like swirl of golden and purple light, a young woman dressed in a poofy frilly outfit flounced about, a jellyfish style cap upon her head. She appeared to be only 14 years old with pale grey-blue skin, glowing a sparkling blue light. She had thick wavy purple hair, wide purple eyes, but upon being summoned said nothing, only gazed at Karasuki and the situation at hand. "No time to explain, Moon. Protect that man at all cost!"

The summoned girl-child nodded once and burst quickly into a dash. She almost looked cartoonishly adorable as she chased after the man, catching up to the Kadachi first. The Kadachi had missed its first strike at the man, its pounce scraping and destroying the ground where he had stood instead a moment before. The Kadachi didn't need to dash much to catch up to the man, making it in two long strides. It swiped at him lazily, all of its fur standing on end, clearly preparing something more wicked than its frightening claws. Aurelia's long purple hair and a stream of jellyfish tentacles cascaded behind her as she leapt in front of the Kadachi. It was just in time too, as the beast roared and a river of lightning crashed from it towards Sojiro. Instead, the girl stood there bravely, her face concentrating. The lightning which headed for her first, with her in the way of Sojiro, of course,  was somehow reflected back towards the Kadachi. The lightning hit its mark with an explosive crack and the beast stood there singed and stunned, unable to comprehend what just took place.

Karasuki reached out to Geralt in her mind, "Your power, if you please Pirate King." Geralt guffawed joyfully, "Well, when ye say it like that, lass.." Karasuki instantly felt the magic of the villain inside of her, as expected, and she focused her brown eyes on the shocked beast. She lifted up both of her palms and each shot out an intense and concentrated stream of water. The water appeared to be so hot that it steamed the air as it moved, splashing directly into the head of the Kadachi. The Kadachi roared again, jumping high into the air before turning to face Karasuki. At the sounds of its painful cries, and so far unbeknownst to the purple-haired mage, two more Kadachi circled her from the forest behind her back. "Again!" She shouted, obviously talking to Geralt, but that was something Sojiro would not know. Her palms spouted their intensive strikes once more, hitting the beast in the head again. The Kadachi swung its head down, appearing dazed and dizzy. It slowly slid backward, trying to find its way now out of the battle. Karasuki lifted her arms up a final time and took the Kadachi down with two more steaming pulses of water. She let out a breath, tired from the surprising fight, and the Kadachi had fallen to its side and rested there motionless.

Sojiro heard the beast take off after him and immediately felt tears begin to swell in the corners of his eyes, dream or not... Was he really about to die? His body felt tight as he ran with all his might, faster than he ever had in his own world, not noticing the ground give way beneath his strength as he ran. It was because of this that he heard the earth rip up violently behind him, causing several pebbles to rain against his body and cause him to let out a pathetic yelp. His beating hearth overwhelmed his ears, muffling out whatever words that the purple haired woman had screamed in his direction. She would be fine protecting herself, she said she was a hunter after all! Whatever twisted reality that he was stuck in was home turf to that woman, so what would be prove to be exact an interference? *Yeah, that's right! I'm helping her by running around!* As Sojiro began to panic it was easy for him to convince himself that his cowardice was helpful to anything but his own self preservation. He screamed as the beast's pounces towards him approached and he felt the air of it's lazy swipe hit his back. His running stance faltered and he tumbled forward over himself, falling into a helpless pile.

The blue haired man would scrambled onto his rear, turning his back away from the beast and watching as the lightning crackling around it before his eyes. His eyes widened and tears silently fell for a moment as the area would light out,
*So this really is going to be it, huh? What a cruel joke, Takumi...* And it was that moment that a teenage girl threw herself between Sojiro and the Kodachi, causing his expression to became pained immediately,*What are you doing? You're going to die!* What the hell was this girl doing? He watched as the lightning exploded from the beast and tore across the ground towards the girl... And she raised her hands in response and the lightning seemed to bounce off her and back at the beast,"Wh-what?" Was all he could muster before his amethyst eyes would slowly shift over to the form of the woman he first met here. She raised both hands outwards towards the large beast who was stunned with it's own lightning and spoke to herself, before large gusts of burning water seemed to explode outwards from her and strike into the beast.

But his eyes kept moving and his face was quickly overcome with terror as he saw two more beasts moving towards the woman from behind. But surely she knew they were coming, right? Again! She screamed outwards and attacked the beast in front of her, it soon becoming more than obvious she was unaware of the sneak attack that was about to befall her. But what could he do? His terror caused his voice to get struck in so all he could do was close his eyes so that he couldn't see the horrible scene that was about to befall his savior......

But before he knew it, Sojiro felt a breeze around his body and as he opened his eyes, he saw that he was running full force towards the woman. As she delivered her final attacks to the Kodachi in front of her and it slumped to the side, one of the beasts behind her used this as an opening to jump forward. In that moment Sojiro Sakura felt a surge of energy overtake him as he let out a fierce yet terrified scream, throwing himself forward with as much force as he could, crashing full force into the purple haired savior and causing them to both tumble painfully across the ground. But behind them a crater would appear with a Kodachi inside, the two ending with Sojiro landing over top of her... And in that moment she'd see the fear on his face, tears streaming down his face, a few onto hers. It was clear he was terrified but he rolled off of her and pulled her forcefully to her feet,
"I don't care how crazy you are, do it again! Again!" He bellowed with a voice filled with nothing but empty bravado, shaking in the spot where he stood next to the woman.

Summoned from another world! Empty Re: Summoned from another world!

Post by Karasuki 4th October 2019, 1:12 pm

Karasuki had taken a moment to breathe, hardly realizing what had struck her when she looked up from the ground into the guy's eyes. He was crying, clearly afraid. He pulled her up to her feet, telling her to do it again and she was confused for a moment. What was he talking about? The Kadachi was dead! She saw the motion behind him and pulled herself in front of him. And in front of her stood Aurelia, who had raced over and held her arms up protectively. Once again, there was a Kadachi beast and the jellyfish girl was using her reflective powers to ensure the safety of the summoner.

As the lightning powers of the beast bounced off of the girl and into the Kadachi, Karasuki used the pirate king's power to strike out again and again. Three shots of water sprayed forth: two hitting the one in front of them and the third hitting the beast who had been hiding behind his brother there in the little crater. This area was peaceful but the way that this guy had entered the world must have drawn the attention of several of the monsters at once. "Just stay back. You'll be fine." "Ye feel lucky that ye have me yet?" Geralt demanded. "Yer summons are too useless in a situation like this." Karasuki shook her head but didn't bother to argue. His water strikes were ultimately more effective than her summons would have been, but that didn't make them useless. Aurelia had already stopped two attacks and saved her and this new guy's lives.

"Thank you, Moon!" She called out. The adorable 14-year-old jellyfish girl grinned and nodded as the second Kadachi finally collapsed. The third beast didn't move to attack, hovering near the edges of the crater, pacing. It was as if it understood the dangers of the small group, having seen two of its kind die so easily. And yet, such a predator was unused to fleeing any situation. It was looking for some sort of opening and Karasuki took the moment to talk to the new guy, keeping her eyes on the Kadachi beast. "I tried to tell you. Sakuramori can be safe and dangerous, depending on where you are at and what you know. My name is Karasuki, and I hope you trust that I can protect you now." The third Kadachi shrank down into a springing position but thought better of it and relaxed again into a seated position instead. Karasuki whispered the words to summon another friend of her's.

"All he had left was his Kaldurian Battle-hammer and a tankard of ale to fend off his woes!" Her glacier dwarf summon, Gornik, appeared in the blink of an eye, a flash of dark purple, no other sparkles or fanfare. He wore full plate armor and swung a large battle hammer over his shoulder. "Thanks for coming, Gornik. I need your help fighting that beast there. It has lightning strikes, so be wary." The dwarf looked at her and shook his head, "You interrupted my afternoon ale for something so small? All right, I'll handle it for you." He lunged towards the battle, fighting the final Kadachi with Aurelia's help. It was all moving too quickly for the Sabertooth mage to explain everything to the man who fell from the sky. She let out a sigh of relief as the battle went on and turned back to the shaking male, "Thanks for watching my back just then. You'll have to tell me your name." She caught his eyes, noting that he was watching the battle and added, "They can handle this just fine. I'm not worried. And my work as a hunter here is now done. Shall I escort you to town?"
