Hargeon was a cheery place and Ashaiya had quite enjoyed exploring the town, even if the sight of so many boats did make her feel a little queasy. There were so many positives to being a Dragon Slayer but sadly motion sickness was not one of those and just one glimpse of a vehicle was enough to make her feel unsteady. That aside though and that day couldn’t of gone better and now she found herself waiting in line to pick up a passport. It was an odd procedure in her opinion, since she imagined that a lot of mages could simply fly from place to place and not even bother having a passport. Despite that, she’d decided to pick one up anyway and patiently waited for her turn, unlike those in front of her who seemed to be quickly losing their patience.

“Oh, come on! This is bloody ridiculous!” a stout figure said from a few spots in front of her, “Pull your finger out and get on with it already. I don’t have all night!”

“Yeah, you guys aren't even doing your jobs properly anyway,” a woman would say from behind her, “I bet you can’t even spell passport, let alone know how to make one.”

It was becoming rowdy and the fire mage found it quite hard to smile to be honest. Patience was a virtue apparently although not one that those around her seemed to possess and they were almost childlike in the way they behaved. For Ashaiya’s part, she simply shrugged to herself at the comments made, not all that bothered about the wait. The men and women standing behind the stall did seem to look rather stressed with the workload and after a moment of thought, she decided to take action, in her own way.

The Slayer would leave the queue and head up towards the stall, before turning towards the crowd and whistling, “Oi, there’s no point in shouting and raving so please just wait your turn. The staff are working as quickly as they can and moaning will only make things slower.”

The staff seemed to appreciate her intervention and after a few murmurs from the folks in the line, they fell quiet and waited, seeming to find Ashaiya either intimidating or just pretty on the eye. Intimidation wasn’t her intention though and she soon started to make jokes for the crowd’s amusement, both clean and a little more adult, which soon had them in stitches. It helped the time pass quicker and after about an hour or so, everyone in the line had received their passports and walked away, in a far more cheery mood then they had been at the start.

It was then that Ashaiya finally received her own passport and as a reward for helping with the crowd, the staff happily waived the cost and simply gave it to her for free. With a smile and a wave, she would then leave them to it and headed for home, brand spanking new passport in hand.
