The Caudex ex Mortem, The Ledger of the Dead as it is called in the common tongue, is a very powerful ancient and dark artefact. To wield this mighty tome, one needs to sacrifice one’s soul to Lucifer and offers one’s shell to the corrupted the tome’s darkness. The wielder's body will mutate and slowly the glyphs and etchings will reveal their secrets. However, it is unusable without an additional price. In order to cast the spells or draw the glyphs of power the wielder is required to sacrifice blood; the wielders own or that of other beings.
