As of quite recently, things had been looking up for Solmar and Fellis, what with how he had managed to unlock the secrets behind the vanishing sword and got access to the greater levels of magic he possessed, though that was not nearly all. He quite recently came from a festival that had been hosted in his honor as he had been the one responsible for something horrible that had been taking place for over fifty years and claimed many a young soul. Having singlehandedly taken down an overgrown Yeti outcast and a deluded Wraith, he had stopped them from snatching any more children and sacrificing their souls to some dark god that might not even have been a real thing to begin with. Thanks to an old hunter that had given him some pointers on how to hunt the pair, he had come to know that this Wraith had been deluded ever since she died as a mortal woman and rose up from the dead, meaning this god might have been something she dreamt up.

While it had been hard for him to parade around as a hero when truly he was nothing more than a wanderer with a strong set of morals to back him up, he figured that the people of that village needed a living figure to rely on, especially after more than a hundred kids had been killed and only three had been saved. Though most of the children had been murdered before Solmar had even been born, part of him still felt responsible for all of the deaths. Had he gotten there sooner, he might have done more, though he had never been aware of the things that were happening there. Not considering this to be a viable excuse, he had left the mountain village after the festivities in order to head towards another village entirely. Having the Beanstalk village in mind, he knew that some of the people might still not really enjoy seeing him there after what had happened there about a month ago. While it wasn't really anything he could do anything about, he understood part of why they felt that way.

Considering how they tasked him with hunting down a certain creature that had attacked people along the main road from the village to Cedar and Hosenka, it was an important route for traders who were hoping to sell their produce on the bigger markets. Getting snagged by some creature as they were on their way, Solmar had been the one to kill the creature that had done so and found all of the bodies of the people that had disappeared. Because the people did not want to hear the fact that their loved ones were not coming back, a lot of them harassed him when he came bearing the ill news. Luckily, there had been plenty who were just glad to know that the killer had been put down and their loved ones could now be reclaimed and buried so all of them could be put to rest. This however had more or less become a theme with Solmar and the jobs he took. He put in his entire soul just to try and see things through to the end, only for him to come back and get scolded for bringing with him the news people already knew to expect, but did not wish to hear.

So, as he wandered in to check up on the Beanstalk village to see how they were doing now, he could smell the scent of burning wood from afar. Picking up the pace as he barged into the place, the young, black haired mage that had most of his body covered up by a thick fur coat stopped a woman as she was moving into the other direction. When he asked what was going on, she told him that there was some kind of creature actively destroying and burning things, which would not be that hard in a village made mostly of tents. Hoping the creature hadn't started burning down the large beanstalk located in the center of town, he made his move towards where he could smell the smoke coming from, keeping his enhanced hearing at the ready in case he heard anything out of the ordinary. If the woman were right and there was something working hard to destroy the place, he would not hesitate to summon forth his sword and kill it on the spot. Since he would be doing the people a favor with this one, he wouldn't even go as far as to ask payment for dealing with it.

They day began as any other, Victor waking up from some high and Ghobel messing around with the locals. The duo were currently in Beanstalk Village, far off from guild headquarters, due to lack of any action. Victor was longing for some mayhem, for some destruction, for anything out of the ordinary, and some Village far off from his base of operations seemed like the perfect place to get just that. “Ghobs, it’s been a couple days and we scoped out this place already. Hehe, you ready to start the party?” The scaly gremlin chuckled and replied with a nod, the duo exited the small tent they had taken residence in for the past couple days. The green haired rebel gave Ghobel a smirk, “Haha, let's start the boomy booms here! Hahahah!” Ghobel gave Victor another nod and applied magic on his finger, then writing the words boom all over there tent. The scaly gremlin eagerly reported back, “Ready boss!!!” “Perfect Ghobs, now let's start the show!”

Victor snapped his fingers and within seconds there tent, which Ghobel just wrote all over, exploded left nothing but ash and smoke. “HAHAHAH, on to the inner part of town buddy!” The duo strolled deeper into town, tagging the words boom every couple feet. “Ready?” Victor asked the scaly gremlin, in which he responded with an eager nod. The green haired rebel laughed as he snapped his fingers again, and every boom that was written by the two had again exploded within seconds.

The smell of burning wood, the sound of yelling and crying, and the heat from ongoing fire. Victor the green haired rebel and Ghobel the scaly gremlin, both heavily enjoyed the destruction they were causing, the mayhem they were stirring, it was all very exhilarating to them. The disastrous duo couldn’t have felt more alive, causing such trouble to Beanstalk Village. Was anyone going to stop these two from further damaging the town? They were slowly heading towards the center of town, slowly destroying everything in their wake.

“Ghobs, see that?” Victor pointed towards the famous giant beanstalk at the center of town. “It looks a little, not on fire, fix that.” “Yes boss!” Ghobs focused magic into his right hand, fire sporadically began to grow into a ball. From the size of a marble, to a golf ball, and finally into a tennis ball. The scaly gremlin grinned as he used his signature move, Flamesplosion, it had the same effect as a molotov but to a much grander scale and with a much bigger punch. Ghobel’s wings stretched out has he fluttered a few feet above the ground, he gripped the ball of flame tightly, winding his arm and finally threw it towards the giant beanstalk. The disastrous duo looked at the ball with wide smiles, waiting for the fire to combust and spread throughout the beanstalk. However the ball moved very slowly, despite it looking like an agile tennis ball.

Nearing the center of the village, it did not take him long to find the ones responsible for startling the people of the village, considering how they were both rather loud about it. From the look of things, the green haired man and the small creature that accompanied him were rather set on spreading fire throughout the town, which was something the black haired mage would see to soon enough. Right now, he was judging whether or not he should take action against the two, and to what degree he should do it. After the first time he had dealt with a dark mage, he had decided that the man was beyond saving and would not be worth sending to a prison cell. On the other hand, he had been responsible for murdering several dozens of people in Sakuramori and using their bodies and their souls to craft abominable creatures that would do his bidding.

This time around, it was another mage who was ordering a smaller creature around, though it seemed to be just about as wicked as the one in charge. Watching how it threw a small ball of fire against the beanstalk at the center of town, even more of the people were starting to panic. To some, the stalk was a holy site that meant a whole lot to them, meaning he had to do something about it while it was still in the process of catching fire. Walking towards the stalk, he inhaled deeply, drawing the flames into his mouth. Maintaining the vacuum until every last flicker of the flames had disappeared from the stalk itself, he belched rather loudly. Though it always gave him a feeling of refreshment whenever he devoured fire, it also made him feel a bit gassy. Pointing his finger towards the green haired man and his companion, he gave them a rather stern look.

"Wait over there, I'll deal with you later.."

As soon as those words had been spoken, he made his way towards the burning tent, consuming the flames in an attempt at saving what little he still could. Due to the fact that these people were all living in tents instead of houses, most of them burned down almost as soon as they had been set on fire. But due to his relatively quick actions, he could keep the flames from leaping over and destroying the surrounding huts and woodwork. Since it had been a while since the last time he had been eating so many magically fueled flames, the next burp that escaped his mouth still packed a few cinders with it, which evaporated almost as soon as they left his body. Having taken very little time to feed on the flames, it wasn't long before he returned to the troublemakers. If they had decided to make a run for it, chances were that he could track them down and outrun them soon enough though.

"Mind sharing what the idea was behind setting those tents on fire? Behind setting the beanstalk itself on fire?"

Screams and panic grew greater and greater, as Ghobel’s Flamesplosion spell got closer and closer to the giant beanstalk, resulting to the duo’s grins to grow wider and wider. Victor couldn’t help but hoot and holler at the thought of the giant beanstalk falling in flames, and the villagers ultimately breaking down towards a major loss. However, all his noise and both the duo’s grins immediately came to a stop as all the fire just disappeared. A burp was followed by the disappearance of the flames, a mage ate them?! “B-boss, did you see that?” “Of course I saw that, stupid lizard! Don’t think hes gonna stop our fun, cause he isn’t!!!

Nows he’s telling us what to do boss!!!” The gremlin looked worried, it wasn't often the two fought people that looked strong. Oftenly when they fought others it was against groups of weaker people. “Hehe, this guy… Ghobs take a seat, we’ll hear this guy out for now. THEN WE CONTINUE OUR PARTY!”  Although the green haired rebel sounded confident in his statement, in reality he was concerned over what was to come with this mysterious mage. Ghobel, however, seemed to have lost his uneasiness and sat next to Victor waiting just as the black haired mage instructed them too. “This guy can’t be that strong, hehe. Sure he can eat fire, but it’s me and Ghobs here. We have never been stopped at having fun, and todays not going to be the first.” The green haired rebel thought to himself as he also began to sit down.

All the destruction the two caused, the yelling, the fear, the fire, it was slowly disappearing. The mysterious black haired mage, sucked up all the flames as if he was eating them. The only thing left from the mages attempt at eating away all the fire was ash, and burnt tents. The duo just sat and watched as all there work was gone, as all the fun they had came to a stop. The green haired rebel leaned toward the scaly gremlin, “Listen buddy, as soon as that guy finishes clearing all this stuff out, I want you to try and sneak behind him and yell as loud as you can. I’ll run in and hold him down. Got it? If he catches use our switch spell.” Victor began to smirk, of course he would expect the black haired mage to suspect something by seeing the scaly gremlin absent. The green haired rebels main goal was to get close this guy and “have a nice talk to him”. Ghobel couldn’t help but smirk along with victor, the scaly gremlin always believed in his plans just as Victor always believed in him.

HAHAHA, you’re asking why we started the fire? It’s to have some fun, like a party right? Everyone likes a big party don't they?” Victor continued to chuckle aloud, gazing into the mage’s blueish eyes. The two mages were a fair distance apart from one another, “Now now, Mr. Fire Eater. What's your business ruining my party?” The crimson eyes of the rebel continued to stare at the fire eating mage. Sure the distraous duo’s party of destruction was over, but maybe this guy can help them, help Victor have some fun. One way or another. Ghobel, was following the plan that Victor has instructed him into, ready to act accordingly to this mysterious black haired mage’s actions.

Watching as the two went about their business, it seemed that the two had never properly been shown how to behave. And this was saying something when it came from Solmar, considering the fact that he had been home schooled until his seventh birthday until the calamity hit and he had been forced to live out the next eleven years as a wandering hermit in the wilderness. Probably being more animals than man at this point, even he knew that one had to respect other people's properties and should not go about senselessly destroying homes, which was something even the animals he had grown up around knew to do. While it wasn't altogether uncommon for some animals to destroy another's nest or burrow when found in their territory, destruction was never random in the animal kingdom. So when he saw someone who was actually having this much fun by making other people homeless, he had to contain himself from actually releasing his own magical power, considering how that might just end up burning even more of the place down.

One of the more fun portions about how he had developed himself in terms of magic and due to his life spent in the wilderness was the fact that his hearing, sight and his sense of smell were way beyond the scope of the average human being. Even from the small distance, he could hear everything, ranging from the whispers and the soft beating of small wings gradually getting closer and closer to him. Though it would still be a little while before the creature would get to him, he figured he would still have just a little bit of time left before figurative shit would hit the similarly figurative fan. Part of him was having a bit of fun by playing dumb, making it look like the flying critter actually had a shot at sneaking up on him, like any of the things they discussed would not actually reach his ears. But in the spirit of goodwill and a portion of anger towards the man who seemed to be some dark mage after, he would give them somewhat of a chance here.

"I'm not really sure what you mean by party, but if you are talking about whatever it is you're doing here, I'd have to say that I don't really enjoy it a whole lot. There were people living in those, maybe there were children sleeping in some of these tents, meaning they could have died so you could have some fun. I have to say, I'm not amused. In fact, I'm highly… unamused?"

Though he wasn't really sure if the last thing he said was actually a real word or something he just made up, he figured that the both of them would understand exactly what he meant. Considering how his entire posture and facial expression radiated "Not entertained", he dropped his coat off of his shoulders and knocked it over into one of the nearby huts for safe keeping. Showing off a bit more of his figure, it also showed the Gladius type sword that was hanging from his waist, a weapon he had been making a lot of use of in the old days. However, now that he was capable of summoning forth a weapon that could actually shatter the skull of a monster upon impact or simply cut off its entire head with one cleave, he really only used it to carve meat and show others that he was not to be messed with. Usually, the man who was walking around with a sword, no matter the fact that it wasn't overly big, was not someone people wanted to toy around with. A moment later, he said something that was just ambiguous enough for both the cretin and the dark mage to make sense out of.

"Also, a bit of a warning of sorts. My hearing and sense of smell are quite well developed, especially by human standards it would seem. So if that creature gets any closer and attempts… well… anything, I can't promise that I'll let it leave here in one piece. I'm a monster hunter after all, so it wouldn't be the first thing I'd be forced to kill, nor the last. And on that note, you wouldn't be the first dark mage I've buried either. Soooo, don't say I didn't warn you."
