The day started off as usual for Tam...Wake up around noon, realizes he over slept,
regret, accept, and take the loss for the day. Tam recalled that there was some training today for the Rune Knights recruit, but that started at 5am, at this point he already missed it. With a heavy sigh Tam rolled out of bed and began to get ready. After a quick shower, Tam quickly got dressed in his most comfortable and casual clothes. He quickly left and stealthed his way out of the Rune Knights  barracks and made his way to the heart of Magnolia.

The streets was bustling and the crowds of people breathed life to the concrete jungle. It was nice....after Tam had spent most of his life on an island training. The ability to be able to get lost in the sea of people had its own charm, one could be alone but not ever truly be alone. After 20 minutes or so Tam took out of what looked to be a cigarette. He knew it wasn't exactly a good habit but even so it was an necessary evil in Tam's life. Oddly enough the cigarette look a like didn't reek of tobacco and other chemicals but instead left a pleasant scent of mint in the area and in his mouth.

"Oh man... the pastry shop should be having the bomb cheese cake right now...." Tam muttered to himself as he navigated to the streets. He took a right turn at the corner of the market district and made his way towards the pastry shop. Low and behold a long line snaked around the building. With a heavy sigh Tam lined up and patiently waited. First ten minutes or so Tam finished smoking the minty cigarette. Eventually he began to causally converse with some of the people in line. When he got really bored he took out his harmonics and began softly playing to himself and to those round him.

With enough dedication and tunes Tam was able to make it to the front of the line.

"Here you go sir last slice" smiled the waitress. Tam smiled feeling the victory march of acquiring the succulent cheese cake, payed for the dessert and turned around to find a seat. He then noticed there was one last person behind him, it looked like they wouldn't be able to get a slice. Tam felt bad and so he approached the person after all it was just a slice of cheese cake...

"Hey uh would you like my slice instead? I realized I was allergic to one of the ingredients used in the cake. I haven't touched it yet so.... do ya want it?" Tam lied about having an allergy in hopes to make it less awkward, but to his dismay his voiced wavered ever so slightly. His ears turned a slight shade of pink at the tips as he held out the cheese cake in its cutely decorated box.

Cherry got up much late than usual after doing a lot of work the day before. She had just gotten into the Fairy Tail guild and had busied herself with work to try and make some decent money.
She needed to find a place to stay after all, so she'd need the money.
She got up out of bed and got dressed, leaving the inn she had gotten a room at the night before. She put her hands in her jacket pocket, her green Magic Satchel was on her shoulder, cross body style.

She smiled to herself as she made her way to her favourite bakery as she remembered they had come out with a new cheese cake! It was rumoured to be the best in Fiore.
She was a little downtrodden when she realized she had to wait in a huge line, and even more so when she realized the man infront of her got the last piece. She sighed, looking sad, until he offered it to her, claiming to have an allergy.
She gasped a little and nodded. "T-Thank you. Um... L-Let me re-pay you." she said, reaching into her bag and pulled out a money purse. "H-How much was it?" she asked nervously.

"Nah it's cool don't sweat it. I will take a recommendation though. Anything else that's good here, erm aside form the cheese cake" Tam asked politely declined. He handed her the cheese cake  and the eating utensils that came with it. "Oh by the way my names Tamlin, you can call me Tam for short if ya like" He smiled as his brown hazel brown eyes shifted to an emerald sea green tone. Tam had to look down since the girl in front of him was so smol and Tam was well... he was tall, you see dear readers Tam stood 6 feet tall (And still growing by the way) so it was quite amusing to see such a tall willowy young man converse with such a cute small person.

"OH Wait... Can I take a quick picture of the cheese cake first? I kinda wanna post it on my Magigram if you dont mind, and uh let me know how it tastes so I can tell my followers what it tastes like haha" Tam inquired as he took out a slim lacrima powered device. It was a beautiful teal color. On the back of the ilac was a cute sticker of an exceed on the back peeking in the corner. The phone had a key chain dangling on it as well, a key chain of sushi with a cute face on it. "You don't have to be in the picture if ya want, just the cheese cake is fine...AH! like is said i-if it's okay with you" Tam began to wonder if he was acting a bit weird for asking to take a picture of the cheese cake. His ears turned a shade of pink and he quickly put away his phone.

"O-on second thought n-never mind hahaha" Tam awkwardly laughed as he scratched the back of his head.

Cherry took the cheesecake box and sat down at a table and smiled. "T-Thank you." she said. "You can take a picture of it, of course..! Y-You paid for it." she nodded. "Take as many pictures as you like.." she put her hands in her lap. "I don't mind at all." she let out a small giggle. She was just happy she got cheese cake. "It's nice to meet you, Mister Tam. My name's Cherry... I just got into town about a week ago." she smiled. "I came here to join Fairy Tail. I'm a Wizard!" she giggled. She pulled off her glove to show off her Pink Guild Mark. "See!? I just got in yesterday!"

Tam smiled and took the picture of the cheese cake. He noticed the Fairy Tail Guild symbol, he recalled that one of the independent Guild's was called by that name. Cherry seemed to harmless, so Tam decided not to report or do anything after all even though he joined the Rune Knights, he wasn't exactly the hardest of workers. "Thank you so much I appreciate it" Tam smiled as he saved the picture.

"Well Cherry, what a coincidence I so happen just to move here this week as well. I'm fairly new to this place. Ya know I kinda like it, all these new people and stuff... plus I get to see tons of different magic I've never seen before...So how have you been adjusting? Liking your guild so far?" Tam asked as he found a seat to sit down in and invited Cherry to do the same. He looked through the menu still awaiting his new acquaintances recommendation and answers to his casual conversational questions.

Cherry put her glove back on and looked at him curiously as she ate her cheesecake, listening to him speak. She stayed quiet while she ate slowly. She seemed like a very polite little girl. She swallowed before she spoke, clearing her throat. She pushed her hair behind her ear, and smiled a little. "I like it a lot... Not many people talk to me but I'm getting along good. I've gotten a few jobs done already and I'm making rent alright... Though I wish I was stronger and stuff..." she sighed, looking down. "Though I guess I'm tiny so I wouldn't be very strong... But I've made it this far on my own since I was 5, so... I guess I'm not as weak as I think I am." she said, looking up at him and smiling with a tiny giggle. "What about you?"

Tam listened intently to the young girl as she spoke fondly of her guild. The small mage reminded Tam of his younger sister he couldn't help but smile and chuckle to himself. However a slight bit of sorrow gleamed over his eyes for a fraction of a second, but was quickly washed away by his radiant smile. "Well I'm sure you're guild mates will come around to talkin' ta ya... jus' give em a bit of time...while ya at it why don't ya try and put yourself out there more, meet and greet, mingle with the masses ya feel?" Tam recalled his first day at the Rune Knights, it was interesting and met quite a few acquaintances... Tam was eager to make friends but found himself stuck with his usual lone wolf habits. It wasn't because Tam wasn't friendly, but it was the fact Tam unconsciously makes the effort to not attract any attention whether it be good or bad. As a result of this Tam was starting to become a familiar face, and the nick name of the weakest Rune Knight slowly started to make it's way to the everyday norm among the Rune Knight.

"Whelp... strength comes with time and patience... that's what my teacher once told me... plus like what you said you made it it this far... that gotta mean somethin'... stregth doesn't always gotta be with your muscles and how good you are at blowin stuff up... being strong could also mean ya got a big brain...  'sides I have a feelin that you're way stronger than me... don't let my height fool ya... I'm actually quite pathetic" Tam smirked as he gave some words of encouragement. It was true that Tam was very weak at the moment his teacher only taught him the basics of the basics of the "breath" style martial arts. Not to mention his magic wasn't exactly all that well developed, its been actually been more than a week since Tam used his magic. Even so Tam could not shake the feeling that he was gonna have to use his magic and fight eventually, whether it be to protect someone or to complete a mission.

"Hmmm me? What about me?.... Well I'm nothin much... I'm just a lowly recruit of the Rune Knights, my magic is pretty weak... you can say i'm sort of a water mage... I don't really have much friends either.... Just recently moved within the area not so long ago... i was livin' on the streets for a few days, but then I joined the Rune Knights.... been able to work for a bit of coin... was able to buy myself a small fishing boat...... on the currently living on that boat right now, it's docked at Hargeon Town" Tam explained his situation, unashamed. The statement of him being a water mage wasn't exactly a lie.... and the previous statement of him being a weakling was 100% true. Despite all of this Tam maintained a carefree aura.

Cherry smiled and listened to Tamlin as he rambled on. "You seem so strong and capable though! You're really tall and you look really smart and clever." she smiled. "I'm really short and can't think very quickly on the fly..." she said, looking down. "I'm making okay money, just enough to cover my rent and stuff, but it's not too bad. I can make it. I've got a roommate who splits the rent with me and all that." she said, giggling. "I'm really happy to have found a place where I belong."

She finished her cake and smiled, putting her hands in her lap. She liked her new friend!

"So Cherry. Have any plans for today? Or are ya just chillin?" Inquired Tam. He leaned back on his chair and checked his phone for any messages. There was none. He put his phone away and looked at the passing by by people and then back at Cherry. "If ya got nothin to do.... wanna just hang out for a bit longer?" Tam smiled, he suddenly lurched backwards and feel. This was because he leaned the chair back a bit too far. Tam laid on the floor looking up at the sky as the clouds above floated on by. "Ouch...that hurt....BAHAHAHA!" Tam burst into laughter at his own blunder. He got up and sat up his seat again. He looked around at the people looking at him curiously. Tam smiled once again "It's cool! I'm okay! My bad!" Tam chuckled. Everyone soon went back to their business. "Sorry about that Cherry" Tam gave an apologetic smile as he sat himself back on his chair. This time he made sure not to lean back.
