Post by Shen Kadokawa 12th March 2019, 3:06 pm

The day was dark, grey clouds covering the skies over Tolgalen, the gentle, oceanic breeze ever-so-slowly pushing the monochrome blanket that blocked out the sun from side to side. It was as if the land itself knew that today would be one of its darker days. Johann von Weiss, at this point, still Vice President of the West Fiore Trading Company, sat in his office, the curtains behind his desk pulled close, covering the large window that would normally fill the room with natural daylight, the only light source now being the steadily flickering candle on the silver-haired mage's desk. In fact, the object was one of only a few on the VP's normally so packed desk. Still, all paperwork had been cleared, the only piece of paper remaining the unfolded letter before himself, Jo staring down at the piece of parchment that seemed to almost glow in the orange shine of the fire. He couldn't help but let his eyes wander. From side to side, top to bottom, back and forth, again and again scanning the scripture on it for inconsistencies, a loophole, anything, occasionally sitting up and shaking his head in disbelief.

Once more, he started reading the letter, addressed to none other than himself.

"Dear Mr. von Weiss, God of Strength"

    He couldn't help but scoff.

"We are pleased to be able to extend to you a grandiose offer in representation of the Magic Council of Fiore. The members of the Council have unanimously voted in favour of granting you the privilege and honour to lead a newly formed Guild under its command. You are to report to the Magic Council headquarters in Era within 14 days of receiving this document.

Should you fail to do so or refuse to comply, the Council will be forced to strip you of your official title as a God of Ishgar and impose sanctions on the unofficial organization known as the "West Fiore Trading Company" and its members for breaching § 31a and § 22b - 22e of Fiore Law regarding the rights and activities of Guilds.

We look forward to seeing you at our office.

    Sincerely,
    D. Fitzgerald, Head Secretary for the Magic Council's Guild Office"

He had to force himself to suppress the nigh desperate laughter. Is this how far things had come? He knew that there would be consequences for accepting this overblown title from the bureaucrats in Era. No matter how much they would coat it in legal jargon, the intent was clear ... the Magic Council wanted to get him out of this guild and make him some kind of figurehead for a new one. The letter was an ultimatum, and as far as Joh was concerned, the Council would follow up on its promises, and they would do so swiftly and without second thought. If he wanted to keep the integrity of the Company's trade routes intact, well ... there was little choice the Vice President had, as far as he could see. There was also the fact that, with the Magic Council's continued involvement, they could pull some strings behind the scenes, perhaps even threatening the other, darker side of the Company ... a risk not worth taking. He really had no choice. Who would've thought that he would leave the Company, and especially under circumstances like these? It was ridiculous.

He took the letter and turned it before holding it into the flame of the candle, the fire not hesitating to spread and scorch the document, slowly but surely. Staring for a few seconds, the man waited until the flames had consumed the majority of the paper before dropping it into the empty waste paper bin beside his desk, the last of the writing turning to ash within seconds, before opening a drawer and pulling out a piece of his own, blank paper along with a pen, carefully setting it down before himself with stoic expression. He began writing:

    "To my dear friend Ruvel,

It is today that I, with heavy heart, must hand in my resignation as a Vice President of the West Fiore Trading Company and all positions and organizations associated with it for personal reasons. I can assure you, it was not an easy decision to make, and I have tirelessly explored any and all options available to me, none of which are viable and realistic alternatives. I apologize to you directly for betraying the trust you have placed in me all those months back, and for letting down the Company, the people that raised me up higher than I could have ever imagined, and the family that has given me purpose, the family I have sworn to protect. I personally have failed you and my brothers, my sisters, and I bear the full responsibility for this."

He set down the pen, clenching his hand into a fist. He had to focus.

"Please do not try to hinder me or persuade me to remain. My decision is set in stone. I want to thank you for all the time I got to spend here on Tolgalen. Should you or the Company ever need me, you will know where to find me.

    With best regards,
    Johann von Weiss"

Without hesitation, he grabbed an envelope and folded the piece of paper, sealing it within and placing it on his desk as he stood up. Well ... this was it. He took a last look around his office, sighed, and opened the door to the room, vanishing into thin air as he closed the door behind him, leaving behind nothing more than an empty office and a meager attempt at justifying his actions. His next destination would be Era. He would show the Council what good it would do them. He would lead, but he would do so on his terms.

    2 months later ...

The fresh spring breeze from the mainland of Minstrel swept through Johann's hair as he made his way up the stairs to the provisional stage that had been placed before the great archway that formed the entrance to the newly constructed guild hall. It was pretty amazing what Magic could do, especially with the backing of the Magic Council of Fiore and, perhaps most importantly of all, it's seemingly nigh endless funds. The small port town down towards the docks had grown pretty nicely, not on par with the docks of the Company, but impressive when considering their schedule, the guild hall, of course, finished long before that. The fresh air and the smell of the sea brought back memories the newly appointed Guild Master had thought he had long forgotten. He had grown up here, after all. It had been a while ...

"... To finalize the grand opening of this guild, I will now give the word to the Guild Master!". Joh had stepped up onto the stage, dressed in the red and white uniform of Dies Irae, now getting a good look at the crowd that had gathered before the stage, the soldier stepping to the side. Most faces were wholly unfamiliar to the man, still, some he had worked with before or seen in passing, and some he knew all too well. He took a deep breath, raising his voice. He hoped that a speech would be adequate for this occasion. It was, after all, his brainchild they would unveil on this spring afternoon.

"I want to thank everyone for coming today. I am certain that the journey was long and harsh, but I'm glad I may open what I hope will become your new home. Today, with the aid of the Magic Council of Fiore, I stand before you not as a God of Ishgar, but as the Guild Master of Dies Irae. I am certain all of you are aware of the purpose of this organization, but let me assure you once more, with your assistance, gone shall be the days of darkness, as I swear by my name, and by the name of this guild, that we shall defend the citizens of Earthland with everything we have. It does not matter who you are. It does not matter where you are from. A common goal shall unite us".

Once more, the man took a deep breath, before finishing his statement

"A new day is dawning, and it will be our day. The Day of Judgement. Welcome to Amber Island, everyone", stepping back and allowing the Recruiter in a similar uniform to that of the Guild Master to speak up. "T-thanks for your attention. Recruits, please line up to the side here so the guild master can give you your stamp before you will be granted access to the guild hall". With a nod, Johann turned, making his way down and to the side, where two uniformed soldiers were waiting at a table, the ledger that would contain the name of all recruits before them. "Alright, first one. Full name please, where do you want the guild mark?"

At the head of the line was a lithe young woman with pale pink hair. From her current color scheme, one would think she was already part of the guild she was just pledging her loyalty to. Her onyx dress fluttered in the breeze around her thighs and the length of the red ribbon escaping the bow cinched around her waist tickled the exposed skin between the hem and the beginning of her black knee stockings. She adjusted the white collar rubbing against her clavicle, almost seeming nervous, though that was preposterous. Sivvy never displayed such an emotion, especially not over something like this.

"7," she told the recruiter simply. There was nothing more to add since she highly doubted they wanted her nickname or for her to expound over some sort of real sounding name. At the end of the day, she was still just 7, one of seven clones and the only one not directly owned by the Magic Council. Though, that was changing now, in a sense. She might not be directly under the Magic Council, but here she was in something sanctioned by them. If only she knew what a dangerous line she had begun to walk.

On the subject of a guild stamp, Sivvy angled her body a bit and lifted the hem of her skirt just enough to reveal the rest of a fading guild mark. "Right over this old one is fine," she said, though really she'd have taken the stamp anywhere if pressed. There was just something about the old West Fiore Trading Company's mark that was weird feeling, so she'd rather not have it reminding her. She hadn't spent much time there, but it was her very first home. Johann had offered her a purpose in life with the company and a place to exist in Tolgalen that fateful day in Hosenka. She purchased her very first living space belongings there with Amalie. At least when she moved in here, she'd have items to actually move in this time around. There was no way she was leaving them behind after Amalie went to all the trouble. It wasn't that she was sentimental, because the complexity of that notion was lost on the poor girl whether she actually was experiencing it or not. No amount of comfortability or attachment could have made her remain behind as her mentor and co-mentee moved on to this new island. How could she possibly be helpful to the God of Ishgar from so far away? No, there'd been no hesitation when Johann informed her of his plans. Her loyalty to him knew no bounds, so she'd packed her things into boxes that very day in preparation, returning to living out of her messenger bag until the arrangements were completed.

A smile crept onto her lips as she waited for her full admittance into Dies Irae by either Sir Johann himself or this recruiter person. A small amount of jealousy spawned from the new guild master finding someone to help him with this task, but perhaps it was just because she hadn't been admitted yet. To distract herself, her mind passed over the mild and serene beauty of the place Johann chose to make their home. She never felt very strongly about much, but she did find she liked Amber Island. The breeze was nice, and everything was developing nicely. It'd have been perfectly fine to her if she continued to live out of her bag in a crudely made shelter near the water. Survival skills were well within her wheelhouse, but it wasn't necessary. There was another place for her to try to assimilate into, though she was way more interested in whatever exciting tasks Johann would have for her. That was the most exciting, lighting her eyes. Whatever was in store, the clone would be ready and willing. It was her purpose in life, after all.

    Dies Irae

    A New Direction

    Coronation

Kessicia couldn’t honestly believe she was here. And yet this is where the hands of fate had taken her, guiding her along the path like the silken threads that wove an elegant tapestry. Her Lord had told her to seek out a true purpose and she had traveled… and now here she was, standing amongst the recruits to this new guild named Dies Irae. The succubus stood among the many men and women that had gathered on Amber Island for the unveiling and recruitment of a new legal guild, led by one of the Magic Council’s Gods of Ishgar. She’d never expected that her walkabout would lead her to this sea-locked land but then again, perhaps it really wasn’t all that strange?

Ruzatz had set her on a path that she couldn’t refuse. His presence had been the solidifying body that had made her understand that her powers, her merging with the succubus, had been demonic providence. The Prime Sin of Lust had explained that, despite his nature as an enemy of things ‘holy’, he was not one to seek for the punishment or torture of mankind. In fact, his words had inspired her to even believe in her own kind once more – to see the potential that lay within all of them. Her Lord had treated her kindly, helping to ease the contention within her and then asked her to find her purpose.

Her purpose lay, it seemed, within Dies Irae. She wasn’t sure what awaited her but she knew that within its ranks, among its people, she would be guided to the next step. Her smile was bright and genuine as the guild master finished his speak, a handsome man by the name of Johann. She couldn’t claim to have much knowledge of the more popular wizards of Fiore but she would learn in time. She watched as the woman directly in front of her stepped forward, leading the pack as the first one to be stamped with the guild mark. Giving herself a nod of affirmation, the purpled haired woman stepped forward right after 7. She was a beautiful woman, who wore a simple white traveling parka over her black skin-tight outfit beneath. It was a bit warm considering the spring air but it was pulled off gently as she stepped up to the recruiter, sliding the top of her outfit to the side so that the flesh just above her breast – nay, truly above her heart – was revealed.

“Kessicia,” she introduced herself, her smile still even and shining. “Please stamp over my heart, so that all and my Lord shall know that I am fully committed to joining.” It was the highest praise she could give to this new guild, pledging herself fully through a brand. But deep in her gut she knew this was right. Whatever lay before her, she would weather it and in time, she would grow into the woman, the succubus, she was meant to be.

Masha looked up at the man who would be her new guild master. He was attractive. If she were still practicing, she might have even made a pass at him. She might make a pass at him all the same. A nervousness gripped her stomach. The feeling was wholly unwelcome. She'd chosen this path. This was her way forward. While she enjoyed the calm friendly atmosphere of Sabertooth, it wasn't enough anymore. If she wanted to improve, to truly overcome the challenges before her, she needed something more. It was the reason she was wearing something uncomfortable. At least in her standards. The dress was pleated falling to just about mid thigh. The neckline hinted at her generous chest but didn't fall too low. Thigh highs encased her legs. It was more skin covered than she'd had in a long time. Her body didn't like it much. Her skin bubbled and writhed. A thick scent hovered in the air about her, overly pleasant to anyone nearby. The succubus nervously looked around her.

Kyran looked down at her. His gaze was filled with warm caring. "You don't have to do this, Masha. Say the word and I'll clear us a path to the docks. I'm sure Mr.- uh...Johann wouldn't mind much." The redhead smiled up at her brother. Wow, she wasn't used to that. She wasn't used to having a family much less one that looked out for her. His willingness to help her calmed her rampant nerves. The succubus reached up to pat his chest. "Thank you for the offer, Key, but no. I need this. I'm struggling in Sabertooth. Struggling for control. It's why... that happened..." She curled in on herself remembering the 'incident'. Kyran insisted it was rape, that she hadn't been herself. Masha couldn't be sure. It was killing her inside. Her usual vibrant way of dealing with the world was rapidly vanishing. She felt like a little girl that was all too happy to hide behind her brother's broad back.

The feeling of arms wrapping around her, jolted Masha from her stupor. "If you're sure this is what you want. I only want you to be happy, Sis." The sadness in his voice struck her hard. The succubus desperately clutched her brother to her. Her voice was muffled when she responded. "I'm not sure I can be happy." Masha wasn't sure if she was capable of such a feeling. She could feel herself spiraling downward, a familiar feeling in the past week. Sinking into the ground, losing all ability to feel whatsoever would be a relief. She wouldn't have to worry about Artemis liking her, or the woman, or the scientists or anything at all. Everything would cease to exist.

A sharp crack of a hand against her butt had the succubus leaping from Kyran's arms. She gaped at him. "Did you just spank me?!" A glimmer of her old self peeked its head out with a small twitch of her lips. There was some part of her that found it kind of hot. "Yes. You can be happy. Just go out there and grab it with both hands." Her big brother said, his hands on his hips. Masha giggled. This was too perfect. "Oh there are many things I could grasp with both hands, big boy." Kyran flushed, turning almost as red as his hair. "Gods... save me." He waved at the stage. Clearly, this was his attempt to change the subject as quickly as possible. "Get up there already. Mr. Von Weiss won't hurt you. He's a good man. You can trust him to take care of you." His eyes narrowed when Masha's smile widened. "And don't get any ideas."

The succubus tilted her head to look innocent. "Why big brother, what ever would give you a thought like that? I'm the perfect little angel!" Kyran scowled not buying her act for a second. It made her giggle. Running up to him, Masha laid a kiss smack on his lips. Without another word, she dashed for the stage. "MASHA!!!" The irritated roar made Masha's smile widen. She felt like herself again. Whether he knew it or not, Kyran was helping her recover. Inside her chest, that little kernel of love for her big brother grew a little bigger.

The succubus slid into line behind a rather attractive woman. Watching the woman push her robe off her shoulders made Masha bite her lip. It was a struggle trying not to sidle up to every attractive person and try to flirt. Her body wasn't screaming for sustenance yet but when it did, the urges to lay down the moves would be all the greater. Hopefully Dies Irae would help her overcome that struggle. After the woman got her stamp, the succubus hesitantly stepped forward. Kyran appeared beside her, struggling to get his expression to be pleasant. A quick glance and Masha knew there would be retribution for that kiss.

"Mr. Von Weiss." Kyran said somewhat pleasantly, holding out his hand. "Nice to see you again. This is my younger sister, Masha." The succubus nodded shyly. Her words seemed to be stuck in her throat. Where once they came easily to her, now it was a struggle to make a peep. There was a hope that this state wouldn't last too long. She didn't want everything of her old self to disappear. Kyran had paused to let Masha speak if she could. The tiny step she made, as if to move behind him, had a gentle smile crossing his face. Kyran turned back toward Johann. "Forgive her if she doesn't speak yet. She suffered a... an assault upon her person but a week back. The culprit has yet to be caught and Masha isn't quite her vibrant self again yet." His expression tightened. He hated that Masha refused to let him hunt the woman down. Kyran glanced back at Masha, giving her another chance to speak.

This time, Masha forced herself forward. She cleared her throat several times. Her back straightened, thrusting her chest out. She could do this. This was the first step to a new her. "Hiya, handsome. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." The succubus ignored Kyran's clearing of his throat. Her fingers found the neckline of her dress. Slowly, sensually dragging it down, she revealed her Sabertooth tattoo. Quite a bit more of her chest was also revealed. There was a slapping sound behind her. Probably Kyran putting his hand over his face. "Stamp here, baby. Don't be too shy about taking a generous look. Or a handful if you want." Masha shot a wink at Johann. She could hear Kyran mumbling loudly under his breath. "Now she finds her voice...and the damned attitude." There was a feeling of rightness about the whole moment. This. This was where she was meant to be.

Those who hurt the ones who cannot defend themselves will pay...
Nea was listening to her headphones. She didn't really want to talk to those who were around her. While making friends may be a bonus for her, that wasn't why she was here. She was here to defend those who had been like her family. Alone and powerless against the dark.

She hated clothes, but found the guild uniforms to be quite stylish. The long sleeves would cover her burns, which had been her worst fear overall. She didn't want people to know. They didn't need to know how week she had been before.

She wondered if guilds were truly like families. Would she really be able to make friends here?Looking around, she didn't see someone who really appealed to her  as she got in line. Again, she wasn't really after friends, but they would be nice. She did sort of wish to feel the warmth of family. Love.... It always seemed to evade her.

Nea got up to the man giving stamps. "Right shoulder. Above my tattoo."

Post by Shen Kadokawa 18th March 2019, 9:43 am

To his surprise, an eager line of interested men and women had already formed, the mages neatly queued before the table with the ledger and the recruiter sent by the Magic Council. A nuisance, really, that the Council had to have their hand in everything, though it was understandable, even to the God of Ishgar, at least to a degree. They had, after all, not only provided the funding to buy both Amber Island from Minstrel, not a small sum, one might add, they had also funded the reconstruction of the nearby port and the Guild Hall. Something Johann was, as much as he hated to admit it, grateful for. Distracted by his own thoughts for a second, Johann's attention was brought back to the recruits when he heard the first one speak her name, a smile creeping on his face. He had been a little busy the past few days, so he hadn't gotten a chance to see her yet, and still, she had come.

"Sivvy", he spoke gently, stepping closer to the table as the recruiter noted down the girl's name in the ledger along with the location of her guild mark. "I'm glad you have come. Thank you for pledging your assistance". Of course, the silver-haired male was genuine in his thankfulness. The guild had only just opened, after all, and they could get all help they could get. Of course, there was still the matter of the guild mark. When 7 presented her old guild mark, the color already fading from the icon, Johann froze for just a second, a feeling of guilt and regret paralyzing him for a moment. It was tragic in a way, that he had to stamp her for a second time, in a completely different guild at that. Still, he leaned down, stretching out his open palm, the ink peeling from her body and leaving behind only perfect skin. The ink used to create the mark of the West Fiore Trading Company was now, as if suspended in zero-G, floating in his open palm, the man dropping it in a smile vial while making a mental note to send that back to Ruvel before opening his own vial of ink, a blood-red substance that too, would follow his magical command and float from its container, moving to the girl's thigh with a flick of his finger before touching her skin, the magical ink changing its shape into the cross of Dies Irae and its color into whatever the girl desired. Of course, it would stay red.

"We'll have time to speak later, for now, please wait over there. I'll show everyone around when I'm done here", pointing over to a spot at the foot of the stone stairs that led up the hill to the guild hall, giving the girl a nod. "It's good to see you".

He would've loved to talk to her more, ask her about her journey, about how she was feeling, but the rest of the line was waiting, and so, Johann turned his attention to the next recruit, a woman of rather ... attractive features. Of course, she was a face the God of Ishgar would not recognize, though matter it did not. "Miss Kessicia", he spoke as the recruiter noted down her name as well. "I'm glad you have found your way to Amber Island", he opened another one of the ink vials, taken from a small coffer on the table, repeating the procedure that he had used on 7, the blood-red ink touching her skin gently before molding itself into the shape of the cross and into her preferred once more. "A moment of patience, I will show the recruits around once I finish this procedure. Please wait over there". Perhaps the recruits would talk amongst themselves, get a little better acquainted? It was outside of his control for now.

The next two that stepped forward caused him to raise a brow, looking over both the man and the woman before him with questioning eyes. "Kyran", said the God of Ishgar, the sense of astonishment perhaps audible in his tone. "A ... pleasant surprise to see you here. Masha, huh?". Of course, the young woman wasn't unfamiliar to the Guildmaster. He had met her on Tolgalen a long while back, though she would most likely not remember him. He had been someone else, and he did not recall ever being formally introduced to her either. He offered her a nod. When Kyran explained further, Johann looked her over, his eyes going back to her brother before he spoke up anew. "I am sorry to hear that. I hope that the situation is resolved as soon as possible. Though, I must ask, what exactly brings you to Amber I-", the God of Ishgar interrupted mid-sentence by ... well, there was no way around it, the girl had started undressing. His eyebrow twitching, Johann's eyes were now locked on Masha, though perhaps for reasons not entirely to her liking.

The recruiter, however, seemed to enjoy the sight he had been presented with generously. It took the guild master of Dies Irae clearing his throat vehemently for the man to avert his gaze and note her name down in the ledger, Johann, with utmost possible haste, uncorking one of the vials and letting the ink shape into her guild mark. Of course, he would have one of the eccentrics today. Normally, it wouldn't have phased the man, but he couldn't help but feel embarrassment and shame about the fact that mages from other guilds were here to witness this, not even mentioning the representatives of the Magic Council. "No thanks. Welcome to Dies Irae. If you would be so kind as to cover up and wait over there", spoken in a perhaps a little too brash tone. "A pleasure, Kyran", he would turn to her brother before his attention went back to the line once more. He just hoped he could brush this off as quickly as possible, addressing the next one that stepped forward.

It seemed that one over-eager mage was next, a young woman, who, perhaps in nervousness, would forget to give the recruiter her name. "Of course, Miss, I just need your name before we can proceed", he said to her, and once that was done, he would give her her guild mark as well. A few men and women followed, faces the God of Ishgar was wholly unfamiliar with, though, naturally, everyone would be welcome in Dies Irae. The future truly looked bright. Once that was done, he gave the recruiter a nod, who would work on getting the ledger to the offices of the newly formed guild as quickly as possible so the official member profiles could be created. Next would be what he had promised the now newly inducted Neophytes of Dies Irae, turning to the group that had gathered at the foot of the hill. "I would like to thank everyone assembled here for joining today. With your assistance, I'm certain we can, and will, make a difference. If everyone would now please follow me so I can show you to your quarters and the rest of the guild hall", giving the group a lookover before turning to the stairs, making his way up the stairs, hopefully, followed by the new recruits of Dies Irae.

Post by Amalie 18th March 2019, 11:49 am

It was the beginning of another fresh start for Amalie. She stood off the side of the crowd, eying the people there quietly. There were one or two faces that she recognised, but for the most part, she didn't know anyone here. She supposed that was a good thing, all things considered. This was supposed to be a fresh start after all. It was ironic that this opportunity would arise at such a convenient time for her. As much as she had grown comfortable in Tolgalen when Johann had told her about this 'situation'. She had been quite quick to decide that she would follow him, in spite of all the plans that she had laid out for herself in the West Fiore Trading Company. When she had first joined them, she had fully intended on using their resources to build herself up, in power, money and stature. But things didn't always work out how you expected them to. It had turned out to be exceptionally fortunate for the twenty-seven-year-old. Because not long after she had learned that she would be changing guilds, and moving to a new location, did something unsavoury stumble upon her.

A Mr Seamus Mulligan, employee of her ex-brother-in-law and a twisted man. Amalie was still perturbed by that night. She hadn't told Johann about it either, but she figured at some point she would have to. She wasn't sure how he would react to know she was attacked in an alleyway, forced to kill a man who had eagerly attempted to force himself upon her. She doubted it would be a pleasant reaction, but she would save it for another time. Because today wasn't about her. She heard the announcement of the guild master and slowly moved closer to the stage for a better view, eying Johann as he made his way onto the stage. She would listen as he began his speech, reiterating the ideals of the guild he had founded.

Dies Irae, a faction created by Johann Von Weiss, endorsed by the Magic Council to do whatever possible to eradicate the darkness and defend the people. It was quite a noble ideology, one that Amalie wouldn't have imagined tying herself to, at least not before meeting Johann. But, something told her this was the path she had to take, and she fully intended on keeping her plans for wealth, fame and power along the way. She might just need to do a little 'just' work along the way. That wasn't so bad. Amalie was starting to understand that sometimes saving others was actually beneficial, but it really depended on the who and why. At the end of his speech, the recruiter instructed the crowd to form a line, so they could be stamped and granted access.

Amalie would slowly join the line, waiting for her turn she observed the others ahead of her. She recognised Seven, the pinked haired girl who she had helped moved in a while back. Well, that had been shortlived. Amalie just hoped for her sake, the girl had at least decided to bring all the new furniture and decor along with her. Amalie didn't recognise the woman who approached Johann next, so her gaze would move on to someone she did recognise. It was another member of the West Fiore Trading Company, the redhead who she'd fought with back in Tsak Ordahic. Next to him was a red-headed girl, she assumed they had to be related. Or at least that was what she thought until she had kissed him. They were only a short distance in front of her in the queue, Amalie observed as they exchanged words with Johann. The girl quickly undressing and shoving her cleavage in his direction. Amalie snorted slightly as she eyed her mentor's reaction, of course, she doubted this sort of thing would please him. This was a 'proper' event after all. Another person went by the queue before Amalie made her way to the desk. She offered Johann her signature smirk, eying him in his attire.

"Now don't you look dashing," She said, "Perhaps you should have taken a little more care to look less appealing Johann, I was under the impression this was a guild for mages, not groupies." She commented whilst making a rather pointed look at the redhead that had not long been stamped. She looked at the recruiter, "Amalie Jane West," She stated in a more official tone, before raising her hands to the base of her shirt, lifting it up, she would angle her body slightly. Indicating the space on her ribs where her previous guild mark had been. "I'd like my mark here please," She asked him. Once she had received her mark, she would lower her shirt once more. Before turning and moving out of the way so the next person could be stamped. It was shortly after that the recruitment appeared to be finished, with a final statement from Johann. Amalie moved towards the stairs, sidling up to her newest pinked-haired guildmate as she did so.

"So you decided to follow him too huh? How loyal of you Sivvy." She said to the girl in a playful manner.

Upon his greeting, she'd met his smile and a small one of her own. "S- Johann," she'd greet in return, struggling still to leave the 'sir' off his name. The cloned woman was pleased that he seemed pleased she was here to help out. For an instant, she was afraid her presence was a bother given the change in his expression, but whatever he had encountered dissipated quickly. Once Johann had done her the service of removing the old mark he gave her and replacing it, she'd do a quick curtsy, smile, and follow his instruction of where to stand. In truth, it was good to see him too, though she didn't hold him up with such a remark given how many waited behind her.

Sivvy hadn't realized how odd it would feel being completely alone for so long until now. Previously she'd had regular contact with either Dr. Raelin or Johann, but once he struck off to make preparations for Dies Irae she'd been left to muddle through some rather purposeless days. It wasn't something she cared to repeat. Perhaps now she could discover a new sense of normalcy.

Her view from the base of the stairs was perfect for people watching the others, though. Carmine eyes inspected each one for compatibility and helpfulness, appraising them silently. Dies Irae didn't need those who would not take it seriously or make Johann's job more difficult, but there was that small part of her again that was anxious some among them might be more useful that she was. It was a peculiar mixing of contrasting feelings, neither of which she'd think on too hard. The one behind her, Kessicia, automatically felt like she would be a nice fit. Very committed. She took the stamp in a difficult place to show on a woman, but over the heart was often a sign of loyalty, so that made sense. The next girl was odd to her on multiple levels. A man was with her and speaking for her until she jumped forward and pulled a move similar to Kessicia, only even more exaggerated. Had she been hired in poor taste to please the guild master by the man he seemed to know? No, that wasn't the case. It seemed she wished to join. Maybe she was simply mirroring Johann's blatant irritation, but she didn't really like Masha's display. The redhead seemed ill-suited for the sensibilities Johann had set forward, but his admittance of her was enough to keep her from entertaining the thought any further. But between Kessicia and Masha, should she have gotten her new stamp on her chest as well? Perhaps there was some sort of social standard for this she wasn't aware of and her placement was inferior. Sivvy decided she'd have to research it later.

Another girl quietly passed by without leaving much of an impression on the pink haired girl, but the last of them was certainly familiar. Amalie. 7 found herself anxious to speak with Amalie as well, again feeling the side effects of solitude weighing on her. The co-mentee joined her at the base of the stairs to wait for Johann's guild tour. Her question only took her a second to respond to. "Of course, Amalie. No matter where he goes, he's sure to have paperwork," 7 replied in her usual serious tone. If it'd been possibly any other human it'd have been an easy joke, but as the clone was now, purposeful jokes were beyond her capabilities unless very special circumstances arose. However, despite saying that, she had come along for more than just to nigh forcefully relieve Johann of his menial tasks. "You're loyal as well since you did the same. I'm hoping you and I can go on some missions together once we're settled in," Sivvy nearly gushed, or at least what was considered gushing for her, ready as ever to get to work.

The eyes of the recruiter were probably what triggered it. The succubus couldn't tell, didn't know. All she knew is one moment she was fine, the next she was rapidly drawing back into herself. What was she doing? She shouldn't be undressing. No one should see this body. No one but Artemis. It was his body. His alone. Wait no. No. No. No. That wasn't right. Artemis didn't want anything to do with her. It couldn't be his body. Yet it was. It had to be. Masha's fingers curled inside her clothing, nearly ripping the thin fabric. Her eyes looked sightlessly into the distance, not registering the guild master's words. She wanted to scream. Needed to scream. There was a pressure building in her throat. No couldn't do that. Couldn't let them see her weakness. Who was whimpering? They weren't helping her contain her screams.

The gentle touch on her arm brought her back. She looked up into Kyran's sad eyes. At once the whimpering stopped. Masha realized she had been the one whimpering. Kyran had apparently realized what was going on. He'd guided her off the stage and helped cover her back up. Her older brother didn't say a word. She didn't know if he even had the words to say in the first place. "How...can I live like this?" She whispered brokenly, clutching Kyran's coat. He shook his head. His arms came around to wrap her up in a hug. Her breath was coming in deep shuddering gasps. Kyran's arms briefly tightened around her. "I'll be right back" He murmured. Masha merely nodded, turning to watch where he went.

A beautiful blue haired woman was walking away from the recruiter. Kyran seemed to know her. He had the slight smile he usually wore in polite company. "Amalie. Nice to see you again." He said pleasantly. Even in her unhappy state, Masha's eyebrows rose. Kyran didn't greet people pleasantly. As he seemed to like to say, he wasn't a people person. It just wasn't in his DNA. "I have a favor to ask of you." His hands went up quickly. It was a strangely submissive look for her brother. Masha wasn't sure she liked it. "It's not a freebie for me. I'll owe you a favor in return if you accept. Provided it doesn't hurt my family, the favor can be anything you desire." Kyran glanced over at Masha. She could see the tension in his eyes even though the rest of his body was relaxed. His gaze went quickly back to Amalie. "I want you to look out for my sister, Masha."

Masha went rigid. Having a stranger watch out for her? He really thought that was the best idea? There was a lance of betrayal through her chest. She did her best to stomp it out a moment later. He wouldn't ask this favor, give up his sense of safety in owing another if he didn't think it was best for her. Kyran had put his life on the line for her when it was only a hope that she might be his sister. She had to trust him. Kyran continued talking. "The show back there. It... She..." He blew out air, running a hand through his hair. "She's trying not to seem weak. To cover up the brokenness. She was...sexually assaulted near a week or so back. Her mind hasn't handled it well. Please. I can't watch her as much as she needs. Not with being employed by West Fiore Trading Company. I'd be hours away every time she would need someone." Kyran clearly struggled to find the right words. Masha wrapped her arms around herself. It was difficult watching her brother flounder for her. "I'm not asking you to be friends, just... watch out for her when you can. That's all."

Regardless of Amalie's response, Kyran walked back over to Masha with heavy steps. His eyes were haunted by some memory she couldn't understand. The succubus threw herself into his chest, causing him to stumble. The two siblings hugged each other desperately. Each was tormented by their own hell but took comfort in the feeling of family. As Johann wrapped up the recruitment part of Dies Irae's opening, Kyran took a step back. "Time for me to go." He muttered softly. Masha nodded sadly, her hands releasing his coat. They didn't say goodbye. It would feel too final that way. Not even a 'until next time' was said. They didn't have the heart.

Watching her big brother walk away was harder than Masha thought. More than once she took a hesitant step toward his retreating back. Her hands constantly came up, reaching out for him. Her mouth even opened once to call out to him. Just before he disappeared from sight, the succubus saw him raise an arm. It wasn't a wave, rather a triumphant raising of a fist. Strength. Courage. It conveyed words Masha needed without a single sound. Wiping the tears from her eyes, the redhead turned on her heel and ran after the group. She wanted to see her new home, meet a few new people. Maybe even traumatize a few if she could find the will to do so. This place, this guild would be her home. Only if she allowed it in though. Perhaps this time, she'd finally be able to open the gates locked shut around her heart.

Post by newwaterz 20th March 2019, 3:29 pm

Today was the day. Though she had to remain calm and collected in front of the servants, she was pretty excited. Not only was she now a member of a guild, she was one of the first in a new Military Guild, Dies Irae, the Day of Wrath. Well today was a Day of Joy for her. She was not only moving out of her parents place, but she was taking her first real step towards Divinity. Serving under the God of Strength himself, Janine pulled her gloves on tight while staring in the mirror. The red and white uniform was cute in its own way. Elegantly hugging her Noble form. She might need a magic stick to beat the boys away.

She was a bit shocked, but smiled, when she saw the maids and butlers of the house assembled down the stairs with her parents in the foyer, watching her carry her single bag with her. Each one bowing just ahead of her as she stepped down. She walked with her parents through town and to thier private dock. The Family's ship was waiting with their own crew at attention. The four hours trip included the last oppulent breakfast she knew she was going to have with her parents. At the dock of the island, she was given a round of applause from the parent's staff as she walked down from the galleon deck to solid land. She gave one last smile to her parents and took her place in formation.

It was then time to enter the Guild hall for the first time. Wanting to have information about others before they have info on her, she stood back and watched others enter. The first in line was a young woman with pink hair. She seemed like she had plenty of experience with magics. She even had a spot for a guild mark picked out. Hmm She had a bit of wait so, where would be a good place to place hers.

The next was a darker skinned woman with a mischevious smile. This Kessica had her stamped above her heart on her ample chest. Very nice. But at thier rank, their chest would be covered a vast majority of the time. Perhaps she was part of the recruitment arm and would be granted an extension.

Next was a redheaded girl with...again ample chest area. getting a look down at her own, she was already backing away from community baths. She at first thought it would be fun to bath with others and relax like she usually does alone, but...Masha it seemed was another that would be messing with the ill prepared on the island. Her own hand moving up to cup her cheek. This was starting to prove harder than she thought. And she also went for the chest in her stamp. Even more evidence she didn't want it there.

Jade hair wasn't exactly breaking any molds here either. The headphones were an interesting touch. Perhaps it was a part of her own magic? SHe would need to investigate later. She didn't spill her name but she at least didn't want it on the chest. She went for her shoulder. What was it with these girls wanting to place the symbol on thier torso. Don't they know the beauty of unmarred backs and chest? They were so much better equipped and they didn't even know how to use...Was this what being poor felt like? It was painful. It wasn't her choice in life to not be able to naturally float in any body of water by simply leaning forward.

The next one seemed a bit more professional. She wasn't a mold breaker either. In fact, Janine was starting to wonder if the God of Strength had a "type" when he selected his first guild members. She had a small snort when Masha had lunged her chest up. Perhaps this woman knew how to be playf....SERIOUSLY?! on her ribs? The normally Joyful Lady of Minstrel was starting to think if she swam fast enough her parents would probably lower the lifeboat for her to climb back up on. No. She was here to eradicate evil. She had to be stronger and dealing with Haremtroplis was just the first step. She will just mark this day in her Journal so future worshippers would know the hardships she encountered on her first step.

Next it was her turn. Stepping up, her white cloak fluttered a bit as she snapped to attention. First name and guild location. Time to show them how a Lady does things. Removing her right glove She held the back of her hand forward, finger tips straight. "Janine. And I would appreciate the guild mark to be on the back of the Hand of Wrath." She said with a small smile to herself.

    A New Direction

    Coronation

This was certainly turning into quite the… turnout. The succubus priestess took a moment to look behind her, to the several people that had lined up in the queue to get their names noted and their bodies branded. The woman directly behind her was a beauty and the man with her wasn’t bad on the eyes either but as she bore witness to them sharing a kiss, she assumed that they must have been romantically intertwined. It made her heart beat a bit quicker, with a bit more purpose. After all, love was right there with lust – as many people did long for the feeling of being another person’s entire world. She didn’t have much time to waste looking about as the woman in front of her pressed on and it was her turn.

The guild master, Johann, was rather pleasant and proper – two aspects she could greatly respect. While Ruzatz was a bit more animated and eccentric, it fit his personality and look. Her new guild master had an air of authority and seriousness that was a bit infectious, if she did say so herself. But that didn’t keep him from greeting her genuinely. [color=gold]“Master von Weiss, the pleasure is mine, I assure you,” she returned his kind words, nodding gently to him as the magic ink floated over to her chest and applied itself directly to her skin. Once it had melded with her flesh, she moved her top back in place and brushed the threads to straighten them out. She was directed to walk over to the other recruit who had received her mark. She smiled as she approached, holding out her hand to the one called ‘Seven’. “Exciting, isn’t it?” she asked as she turned and stood beside the other woman, smiling evenly. “My apologies; I am Kessicia,” she said, remembering her manners and introducing herself.

Her eyes lingered on Seven for but a moment until they turned to the red-headed duo that had been behind her. The woman had presented her chest almost completely in full to the recruiter and Johann, unalarmed by the promiscuity of clothing. “Someone is trying to make an impression I see,” Kessicia observed with a small chuckle. It seemed their guild master wasn’t as excited as the recruiter was at the sight and that, in turn, seemed to cause the woman to melt within herself. A small frown graced the succubus priestess’ face, a tinge of concern etching itself over her features before Johann interrupted her thoughts with directions to follow him up the stairs.

Her concerns could be spoken later. She turned to follow after Johann and the group, melting into the wave of people that moved towards the newly created guild building.

"Oh, uh, Linnea Sibley." She said. A small black head popped out of her head. This was the head of the cat, of course, just a normal cat. Truly, this cat had no abilities whatsoever, and was just a black cat that lived in Nea's bag. "Oh, uh, can she get a mark too?"

Once both had their guild marks, Nea walked over and picked a rock off the ground. 'Just a small snack.'She thought. She did enjoy the small rock, but where did the group go? Oh, the stairs. Right. Maybe she should start paying more attention? No, she'd be fine.

She walked with the rest of the group, looking around the large guild hall. Of course, she eyed the dirt and rocks on the ground and walls. She could use any of it to her advantage, in case of emergency. But, of course, she was pretty safe here right? No one could really come for them here right?

She could see the others in the guild. The way their flavors mixed and melted was truly interesting. She could see them chat, look to their new leader, and other such things. She could hear glimpses of conversations among them. Some sad, others happy, others just hello's and goodbye's. A strange but exciting mix of people indeed.

Of course, she had picked up another rock and begun to munch. Thinking was hard work.

Of course, there was also another person Johann von Weiss had expected to see here on this day, based on their previous ... discussions on the subject of Dies Irae. "Amalie", he acknowledged the familiar woman with a nod, reciprocating her smirk. "Witty as always. We will see in due time". The recruiter hastily scribbled down her name into the ledger as Johann uncorked another one of the vials with the special ink that made up the guild mark, the blood red substance floating through the air before once more creating the guild mark of Dies Irae, Johann watching as the fluid changed colour almost immediately upon contact with the woman's skin. A cold, icy blue. He had expected no different. "I hope you'll enjoy Amber Island, Amalie. It's good to see you", he would say to her in passing as she, too, would find her way over to the other recruits.

There was one more as well, another girl. Johann was starting to think that, after a while, Amalie's comment was perhaps accompanied by some underlying truth. At least this one wasn't an eccentric or wanted her guild mark on her chest. A relief, considering previous events, really. "Welcome to Amber Island, Janine", he addressed the young woman before him, who had now extended her hand to receive her guild mark as well. Repeating the process of delivering the ink to the chosen spot, Johann gave her a nod before gesturing over to the other recruits. And just like that, it seemed that all those who had lined up to join the newly formed guild known as Dies Irae had been admitted, the crowd that had been made up of observers, mages from other guilds and the townspeople of the newly formed settlement slowly starting to disperse. Johann, with that process now complete, thanked the recruiter and carefully grabbed the ledger, closing it and holding it in one hand as he made his way over to the recruits.

The short introduction later, he was ascending the marble steps to the guild hall, the large domed, palace-like structure extending before the newcomers. The building itself was made of solid grey granite, banners of red and gold adorning most visible surfaces, the west and east wings noticeably branching from the large hall in the center. Of course, as they would get higher up, the recruits would also see the large archway that marked the entrance, built from the same material as the Guildhall itself. Of course, the man would not stop for the archway. Proceeding further, Johann, with the group of mages in tow, passed through the entrance and into the expansive throne hall which, much to the man's dismay, would end with an actual throne. No way in hell would he sit on that.

"So", he began anew, coming to a halt and turning around to the group once inside the throne hall itself, "This is the guild hall of Dies Irae, the place that, from today on, hopefully, will become your new home". He took a deep breath before continuing, gesturing over to one of the two hallways that branched away from the guild hall. "I expect that some of you may be tired from the long journey. This hallway over there will take you to the East Wing. On the first floor, you will find the rooms prepared for the new recruits, in other words, you. Simply pick one and keep the keys, make sure not to lose them. You will find your rooms possessing any necessity you could wish for, including a selection of uniforms."

The silver-haired male lowered his hand before raising the other one, pointing in the other direction. "This hallway over here will lead you to the West Wing. If some of you are hungry, the Mess Hall is located there. If you successfully complete a job from our job board ...", Johann now pointing over to a large wooden blackboard near the entrance to the Guildhall that already displayed a decent number of letters, flyers, and written requests, "... the West Wing will also be the place where you will receive your payment. Simply visit the offices and ask for Helga". Johann hadn't seen the woman as of yet, but she was one of the employees sent by the Magic Council. "This is also where you will find the library, should you long for any sort of knowledge or entertainment. With that ...", Johann let his gaze wander over all the new recruits one last time "... you are dismissed for now. Feel free to make yourself at home and explore the guild hall and Amber Island. Keep in mind, you are now representatives of Dies Irae, and I wish for all of you to exhibit proper behavior". Of course, he wouldn't think of addressing some of them in particular. "If you have any questions, I will be in my own office, finishing up the last bit of paperwork needed. Good luck, Recruits". It was a simple introduction and exit, but it would suffice. Now it was up to the newcomers to officially move in, perhaps mingle and introduce each other amongst themselves and explore the island off the coast of Minstrel along with the Guildhall that would be their new home. Johann moved to the hallway that led to the West Wing, and, of course and as promised, made his way to his office, where he would probably remain for the rest of the day, open to those that would find their way there.

Amalie cocked her head as Sivvy as she responded, making a remark about him paperwork. Was that really the entire reason the girl had followed him here? Just to help him do paperwork. Then again, knowing the pink-haired girl, Amalie doubted she was joking. She would comment on Amalie's loyalty, causing the Articulation mage to glance over of Johann. Is this really loyalty? She wondered, reflecting over the night she had instil her faith in the man and opened up way more than she had intended to. Although, there had been a lot of alcohol involved. Still, she was here, joining this new enterprise of his.

"Perhaps so," She replied, "A mission huh? I'd find that acceptable, as long as you can keep up." She said with a teasing wink. Before she could continue, their conversation was interrupted by the sudden presence of the red-headed guy named Kyran. He addressed Amalie rather suddenly, drawing her attention, she nodded at him at he greeting her. She went to continue her conversation with Seven, only he would speak suddenly of 'favours', the blue-haired woman eyed him with a blank expression. She wasn't particular sure why this man assumed that their association so far would lead him to expect favours from her. Not just any favour either, he somehow thought that she would be a reasonable choice to 'look after' his sister. Amalie glanced past him at the red-headed girl, covering herself up with his jacket. She looked somewhat regretful of her actions, but that didn't mean Amalie was any more willing to accept the task.

He continued to explain the reasoning behind her before, all the while he expression would not shift. So that was it huh? The girl had been assaulted which was responsible for such overzealous behaviour and now she needed someone to keep an eye on her. Amalie sighed, this was heavier than she expected. It wasn't that she didn't pity the girl, she herself had recently had someone attempt to force himself upon her. Only Amalie had managed to prevent it, albeit the man had had to die in order for her to so.

"No." She said firmly, "I understand that your sister is fragile right now, what happened to her is unforgiveable, whoever is responsible deserves to be flayed to the bone and worse. But I will not babysit her, or nurse her back to normality. Life is cruel, Kyran, and there no guarantee she will not face worse in the future. How will she become strong enough to face such trials? If she doesn't know how it is to overcome them on her own. Should I be assigned to work alongside her on a mission, then I will endeavour to work with her to the best of my abilities for the sake of getting the job done. However, she shall receive no 'special treatment' from me. In which case, you can keep your favour, Kyran. I neither want nor need it." She said curtly. Before turning back to Sivvy, as far as she was concerned that conversation was over, any attempt the red-head made to argue. Would fall on deaf ears.

She would continue up the marble steps, moving into the guild hall. It was more extravagant than she expected, designed like the inside of a palace with banners of red and gold. It was quite stylish, although slightly grandeur in nature, but then how else was a guildhall supposed to like? She wasn't really certain, she had only seen one other guildhall before and that was the West Fiore Trading Company, so she didn't have much for comparison. She listened as Johann explained where everything was. Before dismissing them and making a rather swift exit. Amalie shrugged, Guess that's that. She thought, before turning to Sivvy. Normally she would have just walked off to see her room, but she figured seeing as Sivvy was here she would invited her to tag along. "Want to check out the East Wing? I had my things delivered, but I'll still needed to sort them all away. What about you? Did you keep the things we picked up from Icea?"

As she was approached by the woman who had taken her mark after her, 7 put on a pleasant enough smile in return. She might not have a lot to offer in the way of pleasantries, but the clone was hardly so backward that she couldn't handle being sociable and polite. In fact, she'd had many classes on personable interactions, so while her own expressions were muted, her communication skills and comfort level conversing with others were adequate. "It is exciting, yes," the rosy-haired girl agreed with a nod, obviously pleased with the surroundings and the guild festivities themselves. Kessicia offered her name, so 7 did the same. "Nice to meet you, Kessicia. My designation is 7, but you may call me anything you like. Johann and Amalie call me Sivvy if you'd be more comfortable with that option," came the girl's soft but informative voice. She was nothing if not consistent in her introductions. It was very nearly always the same, though as of late offering her number in different languages to simulate a name had been replaced with the nickname Johann had given her at their first meeting.

Beyond that she fell silent for a while, only mildly raising a single brow at the note of Masha's "impression leaving". It was a valid observation, but even now Sivvy wouldn't comment on it. Something in her was rubbed the wrong way, but without knowing exactly why she'd keep her comments to herself. The two red-heads joined them, the male speaking to Amalie about something that seemed urgent. Though she was curious about the situation, 7 made it a point to not listen and her people watching continued. Further observation noted Linnae's name as she gave it as well as her penchant for chomping rocks. Being an occasional metal eater herself, Sivvy noted that the girl might be an earth slayer, though there were other less likely explanations possible if she was mistaken. A girl named Janine was last, and with that, the new recruit noticed that all gathered at the base of the stage awaiting Johann's further instruction were women. It didn't mean anything in terms of strength and effectiveness, she just found the math of the situation strange. The odds of all of the first members being female seemed rather high, but all thought on that subject vanished as her mentor and guild master began speaking again, leading the group up to the Throne Hall.

Once inside, the God of Ishgar's mentee absorbed every word said, making a mental note of all the places mentioned for an easier time finding it later. The library and mess hall had her attention to be investigated first after settling into her quarters. Moving in wasn't the first thing on her mind though. First and foremost she had a job to do, so once everyone was dismissed and Johann mentioned his office and paperwork, her steps automatically started to follow the man to his destination. Her eyes almost emitted flares at the mere thought of paperwork, but her objective was disrupted by Amalie. Her determined steps promptly halted. Now she was in a dilemma! Johann was getting further away with every step, becoming that much closer to doing and possibly completing his paperwork unaided. Yet Amalie was standing before her, more or less asking for her company and maybe even for assistance moving her things into her room. The clone hesitated a few moments before committing to her current placement in front of Amalie. "Sure, let's check out the East Wing," agreed the girl, reaching up to fiddle with a single pigtail. "I did keep my things from our shopping trip. In fact, they should have been delivered here, as well."

Kyran's lips twisted at the rather broad assumptions Amalie seemed to be making about his request. He didn't bother to correct her however. All of her points were valid. It wasn't as if he didn't know this was a long shot to begin with. "As you wish, Miss Amalie." He replied, bowing at the waist. "I apologize for overstepping my bounds with a former guild mate. It seems I'm destined to fail as a brother as badly as I failed as a father. Good day." He turned away from the blue haired woman. His last flickering hope died with her words.

Masha managed to catch up to the group as Johann was explaining things. She felt bad about the way she'd behaved. That in and of itself was surprising. She rarely felt bad about flaunting or grabbing attention. Perhaps there was a deeper change to her than she'd first realized. Or the hurt of this last time had wounded her more than any of the previous times. That was neither here nor there though. It was important that she apologized for her behavior. Kyran's apology had been... annoying. Masha wasn't a little kid. Hadn't been for a very long time. Her big brother, while appreciated, did not need to explain her behavior or make up excuses for her. It was demeaning. He'd simply have to get used to however she acted. Once she decided how she was going to act in the future.

The succubus decided to try and make a better second impression with her new guild master. That is to apologize while in guild uniform rather than her current getup. Hopefully, she could find that delicate balance between what her body would allow and modesty. It would be difficult to complete missions if her skin crawled beneath the uniform at every turn. Actually it would be hell. The redhead made her way down the East hall, grabbing the first keys she could. Rooms were usually all the same to her. A place to rest, no matter the state was good enough for her.

Masha took a little time to investigate her new room. Bed, dresser, open space, full body mirror and a closet. Pretty standard nothing that stood out to her. The closet was filled with various uniforms. She did a little mixing and matching to get a uniform her body would tolerate. The deep V of the neck let her show off her guild tattoo without being too revealing. The skirt hovered on the line between decent and debauchery just where she liked it. She'd have the freedom of movement for her fighting style. The part she liked most about her new uniform was the little cape that hung off her right shoulder. It made her feel like a general almost. The succubus looked at herself in the mirror. Yes. This would work. She smiled widely.

The red head made her way to Johann's office. She hovered at the door, unsure whether to knock or not. After some deliberation, she knocked and waited to see if Johann said anything. If he did, or remained silent for a time, Masha stepped into the office. She took a deep breath. "I'd like to apologize for my behavior at the ceremony, Guild Master Von Weiss. It was unbecoming of a mage and unseemly in that setting. I'm not... I... I wasn't trying to be disrespectful. I'm trying to find myself after an... event shattered my sense of self." She bowed, the perfect picture of solemnity and demureness. "Please forgive the foolishness of a girl trying to grasp at the vestiges of her old self. I'll strive to do better in the future." Masha waited a moment for Johann's reply before stepping out of the office. Her back touched the wall and she slid down it. Her knees came up to her chest. Where did the broken china girl go from here?

MY SECRET SIDE I KEEP, HID UNDER LOCK AND KEY
'I KEEP IT CAGED BUT I CAN'T CONTROL IT
The chilling sea wind leisurely danced to the rhythm of the songs sung by the merchants on the ships. Behind the curtain of fog that obstructed the view from the sea, laid the Amber Island that was raved upon so much that it sparked the curiosity of the unknown figure covered in a black velvet cloak. The ship halted before it approached the shallow waters and migrated all aboard onto small boats which would eventually reach the island. From underneath the cloak that covered her face, her left eye peeked as she looked upon the island, taking in the beauty that it exuded.

"So this is the Amber Island, huh? I hope this new guild lives up to the rumors that I heard."

As she murmured, a small smile crawled over her lips. Her feet moved in sync over the grainy sand as she expectantly arrived at the large building which would soon be her home. Dies Irae, a guild that had built a reputation for itself in the outside world for having been born by the assistance of the Magic Council and led by the so-called God of strength; a guild that had ignited a sense of curiosity and excitement within her, now became a guild that she planned to make her home.

Following the commotion that resonated around the place, the female found herself standing at the ajar doors of the large hall which she presumed would be the guild's hall. Before her, people scattered in all directions, dispersing as the opening ceremony had just reached the end. Unfortunately, it had appeared that she was slightly late. Her only observance made so far was the line of women that stood facing the man on stage, who had just finished giving a guild mark to the last woman in line, as he gave his closing speech which concluded with the recruits following him upwards.

Her eyes halted upon a man who had a ledger in his hand, handing it over to the man who she concluded was the guildmaster. As the crowd dispersed, she approached the member of the Magic Council that previously held the ledger, unaware of who he was. She didn't particularly care either, all she wanted was an answer. "Where can I go to get a guild mark?" He seemed surprised as she approached him. Unable to see her face properly, he hesitantly motioned for her to go upstairs and head towards the Guildmasters office, where she would apparently receive one after giving her name.

With a sigh, the female followed the crowd with her cloak still resting over her head. Upon reaching the top floor, she stood at the back of the crowd, waiting for the Master to finish describing the place. Once the small session was over, Arya struggled to walk through the hoard of women in the area and follow the man to his office. On the way, she passed two women, one with pink hair and another with blue, only catching a glimpse of their conversation and deeming it to be none of her business. Unfortunately for her, her lack of insight when it came to remembering directions made it rather impossible for her to find her way after a couple of incorrect turns within the hallways.

However, eventually, as she sauntered through the corridors, her eyes would land upon a red-headed woman exiting a room before sliding down against the wall. Giving her a suspicious gaze, the woman walked up to the seemingly sad girl and without any apparent tone of worry, would ask, "Is this the guildmaster's office?"

Regardless of what reply she got, Arya would run her hand through her hair, removing the hood of the cloak and finally revealing her face before staring down at the woman awkwardly, "Hey, are you....okay?" She wasn't particularly someone who cared but determining that sometimes, small unnecessary conversations like this may somehow prove to be useful in the future, she pretended to do so anyway. Whether the woman chose to reply or not didn't matter as the white-haired female would simply knock on the door before stepping into the office, "My apologies, it seemed that I was a bit late for the opening ceremony."

She would visibly observe the man who was apparently her guildmaster, the man known as the God of Strength. Perhaps it was in her best interest to be build a good and friendly relationship with him. Her monotonous and slightly judging expression naturally softened as her mouth formed into a smile. "My name is Arya Delgado." Turning around, she unclasped the hook of her cloak, pulling it down just enough to reveal the bare skin on the back of her shoulder. "If you don't mind, I'd like my guild mark here."

So far, so good. The now Guildmaster of an official, legal organization under the distant influence of the Magic Council sighed, walking towards the empty hallway, cold, polished granite to all sides. It had been a stressful couple of months, certainly, and the sacrifices that the God of Ishgar had made had not been easy ones either, regret continuing to wrench within his guts. And still, despite that, the man couldn't help but feel ... a certain sense of pride and accomplishment. He and a few others had built all of this from the ground up, had turned their ideas into the basis for an organization that would strive to actually make the world a better place. And a better place it would be in due time. He had to make the best out of it. Finally, so lost in thoughts, the man had reached his destination, staring at a door that lead to what would become the silver-haired man's office. He opened it and stepped inside.

His cold expression would turn into a soft smile that lifted up one of the corners of his mouth. The room had been built exactly to his specifications, a thing most important for a man like Johann von Weiss who, as many knew, had spent considerable time in his office when he had still worked for the West Fiore Trading Company as one of its Vice Presidents. There was that sting in his chest again. Still, this would work. The large, mahogany desk in one corner of the room would be a good workspace, a large window behind it helping with keeping everything well-lit. To the left of the desk was a large bookshelf for some of the undoubtedly overwhelming amounts of paperwork the man would now have to deal with. To the right, two small sofas of entirely black leather stood facing each other, a glass tea table between them, and even further, at the end of the room, was the marble fireplace, a quietly smoldering flame already burning within. It was perfect.

Johann placed the ledger on the desk, deciding to finalize the paperwork that would wrap the creation of Dies Irae up as soon as possible, sitting down on the leather chair behind his workplace and beginning to fall back into his usual routine of reading and scribbling at once.

And yet, it wasn't long before a knock rang out at his door, the Guildmaster in the black uniform looking up from the sheet and the open ledger before him, his hat placed on the other side of the desk. "Come in", a reaction to his words following suit, the door swinging open to reveal one of the recruits from earlier. "Masha", he acknowledged her with a nod, listening to what she had to say. He took a deep breath, his expression revealing a hint of concern before speaking up once more, his answer to the girl seemingly understanding now that the shock of the moment had worn off. "Do not worry, Recruit, you are forgiven. We all have ... our own baggage to carry, do we not? If you need help, I can offer my assistance ... should it be required, of course". He let out a small sigh "Just ... before you go, I kindly ask you to try and avoid situations like that one in the future, please". He felt his response was appropriate, and it seemed like the girl thought the same, turning around and leaving the office, leaving the VP to himself once again. It was certainly admirable, he thought, that the girl had realized her mistake and had shown the courage to own up to it. Well, it wouldn't matter. It would be best for the God of Ishgar to simply forget about it.

Still, it seemed fate had decided that the moment for the Guildmaster to rest had not yet come, a second knocking on his door occurring as soon as he had finished the thought. Masha again? She had just left, so what could she want this time? Had she forgotten something? "Come in". As soon as he had spoken the command, the door would open once more, though contrary to his expectations, it was not Masha. Instead, it was another girl, her open, achromatic hair and the somewhat strange, though admittedly aesthetic eyepatch that covered her right ocular perhaps the most striking features Johann noticed before anything else. Of course, she would also promptly explain her intrusion, Johann giving her a nod as he stood up. "I see", he responded, "That is not an issue. Dies Irae is, of course, always welcoming new members". Before Johann could ask for her name, she would introduce herself, a weak smile once more turning his normally stoic expression a little more amicable. "Miss Delgado, a pleasure. My name is Johann von Weiss, though you most likely know that", he opened one of the drawers on the desk, bringing forth one more vial, similar to the ones he had used before, uncorking it when Arya described the desired location for the guild mark. Again, he would repeat the procedure, the ink floating from its container over to the exposed bit of skin before molding into the shape of a cross, the guildmark of Dies Irae. With that, she, too, would be a member. "Welcome to Dies Irae, Miss Delgado. I hope you will feel welcome here on Amber Island. The Living Quarters are this way", he pointed the way she had come. Since the building only had 2 wings, it would be hard to miss. "Why don't you settle in and meet some of your new comrades. I'm sure the journey was long and tiresome. Of course, I look forward to seeing you in the future".

He worried that maybe it would seem like he was trying to get rid of her, and a little too hastily at that. Well, this paperwork wasn't gonna finish itself ...
