Once again, Indra had returned to Hosenka. Though he had left his life in Midi behind for many reasons, with the occasional return to his new master, Koryu's home-- he felt moments to return to the calm, peaceful atmosphere of his home. He was lucky someone in Fiore understood that culture and enjoyed finding a place he could call a home away from home-- next to the guild hall in Ace of Spades. There were plenty of places to go-- eat at one of the eastern sushi bars, the exotic gardens, the pleasant hot springs-- it was paradise for Indra as he took in the rich culture.
It also was a fun place to revisit every so often as Indra had some fond memories here. It was a place for him to easily relax after training or work, so he would want to come there as often as he could. But one thing was also a benefit-- it was where he and Kage met. After the little furball tried to steal stuff from them that Indra caught him. Despite that rocky meeting, he wanted to be Indra's apprentice, which was hard to say no to an Exceed.
it was an early evening as Indra was at a new hot springs location-- since the last time he was at one, he sort of trashed it trying to catch Kage. After the long trial and the clash with his 'brother' , it left a lot on his mind. He knew he was an orphan and was found at the monastery, but he soon learned he was part of a ninja clan, which was obscure in Midi. And while he did rebel and abandon the monastery for a better life-- Indra couldn't help but feel that void in his chest. Even though he had never been so powerful up till now.
He sat in the steep waters of the relaxing hot springs now, the hot water up to his chest near his Sabertooth tattoo that had been placed over his heart. He had more questions and interest to know more, but at the same time -- his brother was his enemy too. He didn't know how to run this in his head, or what to say to anyone else. Even Tailong or Koryu when he would return to Sabertooth.
He heard the soft bubbling next to him and he looked beside him. Out of the water popped up Kage in his smaller Exceed form. He had a small washcloth over his head as he floated about the water-- both their clothing now safe in the men's changing room.
"Mrew...." Kage purred as he blew out bubbles from where he soaked and rose up to let himself breathe. "We should do this more often. A hot bath after a long mission. "
"Yeah, especially when one doesn't have to chase around a certain feline thief trying to steal their shit," Indra replied with a not-so-subtle hint at Kage for doing just that last time he was there.
Kage nearly fell into the deeper part of the pool as he looked up at Indra crossly. "Come on! I was only trying to train. Its not like there is a ninja academy I could join, ya know! You're not still mad at me over that, are you?" he growled.
"No, no..." Indra replied, splashing Kage a bit with a toss of his hand in the water. "Don't get your whiskers in a knot..."
Kage let it go as he shook his head, scattering some water everywhere. Indra would have thought Kage as an Exceed would hate water, but it seemed that the tiger-exceed enjoyed the water every so often.
As Indra tried to lose himself in the water, he could only think about the things he saw in his last mission with his brother. After the bath, he probably should get a drink-- and see if he can let off some steam with some girl if he had the luxury. Though a thought did cross his mind. The bath was separated by a thin, but tall bamboo wall. Since his clash with his former clansmen-- Itachi, he had awakened a new power he had been trying to control. The Lightning Dragon's Heaven's Eye-- or as he called it the Rairyu Tengan. He had only been able to use it in high-stress situations, but when he did, his eyes literally transformed into a new shape and allowed him to see things normally impossible. Able to see the 'bioelectricity' in other people and surroundings, able to see through illusion magic, but a more fun benefit-- able to use X-ray vision to see through objects.
An almost wicked grin crossed his face as he glanced at the wall, wondering what was going on there.
Before he could attempt to focus, to allow his eyes to change-- Kage let out a soft little meow in curiosity. "Sensei, do you hear that? " Kage asked.
Admittingly, Indra had been trying so hard to focus and relax, his sense of hearing had gone down a bit-- which was a welcomed surprise. But now aware, he could soon hear things easier. The guests inside the resort, splashing of the other bathers in the other bath, which he liked to hear, but more interesting, was a snicker behind him. He glanced back to the woods which boarded the baths, sensing another presence. Someone was back in the trees, well out of sight and probably further nearer to the woman's bath.
Indra felt the urge to grumble-- having thought he was the only man in the bath now but somehow he had missed this one.
"Should we check it out?" Kage asked.
A grumble escaped Indra as he slowly rose out of the water. "Damnit Kage..." he swore, but soon went to get his kimono so he could check.
