    Job stoof:

So to give some background information and such. Two months have passed since the ball happened, during this time the guild masters have gotten together and informed their own guilds what is going. This information is very, very sparse but through some investigations of Ruvel several months later he had ended up in an area where people had been showing some similar symptoms and shared the information of where that area is.

Our main directive is to gain samples:

    - Several air, water and earth in a few locations
    - Gain bio samples of living and dead as we find them
    - Gain bio samples of those things that attack us
    - Document what we see
    - Document how we are feeling as this continues to see if it varies from those who seem to dwell here

Please note everything here is trying to kill you, everything is polluted with the viruses and things might be affected with both viruses or we may find new strains so try and keep together.

    Educational Expedition

Two or so months had passed since the winter wonderland masquerade ball had happened, everything had been seemingly been going according to plan for the most part with only one or two hiccups along the way luckily. There was no use trying to do anything perfect when it came to the task at hand as he realised there was always going to be something going on that would make the most simple of things go wrong and at times that was his own guild members much to his frustration, so was just going to give up at this point and roll with the punches so to speak. There had been issues with those of his guild of course they had been, at times acted like children that didn't understand rules, laws and such but that was another problem he would need to stick a pin in for another day it would seem given his current focus of the expedition at hand. Two men had crashed the company winter masquerade ball and it seemed to have went completely downhill from there, he was starting to think that his guild couldn't host nice things, something always went wrong. One of the men seemed to look slightly sickly but he could have passed off as being slightly malnourished if it hadn't been for the god complex as well as a few other mental disorders he seemed to show no one would have been any wiser of where he had come from. The other male however was clearly sick and overly malnourished with some sort of plague as his veins were black, he was covered in boils, blisters and who knows what in a variety of sickly colours. Luckily his own vice presidents had requested everyone to stay back for their own safety with the help of one of their invited guests from one of the sister guilds within the Silver Moon Faerie alliance the Fairytail ace known a Nessa Cordelia Lux. He hadn't had much time to mingle with anyone as he himself had taken ill which upset him more than a little bit, as he had invited someone from the same guild. The girl he had met at the crystal moon blossom festival a few months prior, another of the aces of Fairy Tail Arcadia, Fairchilde. Well there was that and the fact that several of his members had already started acting up in one way or another, he wished that Cirven had been around to deal with it but alas, he had vanished and so the guild had moved to him as heir apparent it seemed.

He had no idea as to why but the and well he guessed Arca could be classed as his girlfriend but he wasn't overly sure on what they where at this point, it was something he had been meaning to ask her at the time of the ball, after all they had seemed to have hit it off upon their first meeting, though in the beginning he thought he had actually upset her by saying she couldn't bungee jump off the top of the company roof. In honesty he hadn't want to fall off the thing but he swore some of his former summons took pleasure in trying to scaring him to death or found it amusing to put him into situations where he could have died. He was glad that part of his life was over for the most part at least, some of his summons had remained with him Shindara and Amuul were two that refused to leave but knew that he would no longer have enough magic to support them both as an individual summons so merged their contract into a single one strong summon but a good portion had went their own way when his magic changed after going back to the place he was born, he was informed of a few things such as the magic he was using to survive wasn't the one he was born with, in fact he was told the truth as to why he had no magic signature and that was due to the fact he didn't use magic but something else, this something else however was something he was told he would have to find out about himself. Great that was all he needed at that point, but he was glad he was older once more and could talk with others without a translator. That was a whole different kettle of fish he would rather not even think of at the moment however, it would just distract him if he was perfectly honest with himself. With all that behind them he was glad that there had been representatives of Fairy Tail and Silver Wolf at the ball as they had witnessed the goings on, he had requested them to pass the information of what they seen to their guild leaders in Silver Wolfs case being that the guild master had been one of the two chosen to attend was asked if they would like to help investigate what had happened, quickly notifying her he thought he knew where the two actually came from as he himself had been their once before a few months before the ball when he had been doing an investigation of his own about an outbreak. He had to wonder now if he was the reason that the two managed to break through if this was the case, but he had been careful not to disrupt anything so he couldn't see that being the case, but it did bring doubts to his mind regardless on the matter.

Over the months that followed several meetings took place between the guild masters and aces of the three allied guilds where he gave the others all the information of the area he believed they had come from. He had mentioned that he had been there before due to what he believed was a non connected epidemic, in honesty he was starting to have second thoughts on that as this whole thing went forward but he kept his mouth shut about it as it would do no good for anyone really. Due to commitments of being in charge of guilds and being mages who were actively doing jobs or other things in general the meetings and thus plans took a while to come up with, it was later decided that depending on how many of their guild members wished to join their would be around three to six members to a team, that no team would be of one guild to help relations, that each teams members would be chosen on magics that could compliment others and each team would have a primary goal they would be given, given where they were going there would most likely be overlap and that was fine so longs primary goals were done. When it was decided what the three main goals were, the first was scouting, the second was security and clean up and the third goal would be sample gathering for studying, it was then let known to the guilds and the information with it. It was decided that two groups out of the six would have the same primary goal not only for safety but to make the chances of information needed getting out of the area and to someone who could do what was needed. He himself had informed his own company and guil of the risks and that there was no shame in not wanting to take part after all he realised they had family and responsibilities and this was in all pretences a suicide mission. To his surprise however a lot of people still signed up to help their home regardless of how it harmed them and for that he was thankful. Within several weeks the numbers from each guild had come in with who would do best in team leaders chosen before those that would be best suited to work with them had been picked.

A date was universally chosen by the team leaders as was a time this was then passed to the teams, each leader was in charge of informing those on their list where they would need to meet. As the day got ever closer the youth and even the members who had volunteered were becoming more anxious. Her personally was not wishing to put people in this kind of danger, but they had volunteered to do this task, they had been told the risks and the chances of coming out unscathed or untarnished was slimo to none as they had no means to fight the diseases that had plagued the two men. Ruvel throughout that time had made sure to quarantine the two men, giving them all the luxury they could wish for and was keeping them in medical observation rooms so they could see what kind of progression the two would go through in the hopes he could give the others information in what to look for as a precationary measure so they would know if any within their group had been infected, not that it done much good as they still had no way to fight it back. Tests of course were administered but this wasn't to be cruel in any way but they needed as much information as possible and as much as it left a bad taste in the youths mouth after he himself had been through something silimar, but he made sure it was humane and nothing unethical was being practiced as he demanded daily updates and that lacrima record all tests done so he knew it was all above board, this he would allow it to happen if it meant he could protect everyone else. The tests done on these men at least would bee humane and they were being taken care of unlike the everything that had been done to him and so many others, he had allowed Sol to overlook this as it fell under his scope of expertise being a doctor who dealt with poisons, venom's and other deadly substances. Still he kept a very close eye on everything that happened with them, he kept the originals himself, gave a copy to Silver Wolf for their own researchers, a copy to the Rune Knights so it could be recorded that nothing unlawful was being done and even a copy to the magic council themselves so they knew that Tolgalen was taking the threat seriously and was doing everything it could to keep it not only quarinteened but find a solution to this issue.

Time had swiftly passed and it was now the day of the expedition groups meeting and Ruvel had woken earlier than he normally did and started making his way their agreed meeting place, before he left the company grounds however he stopped making sure that he had everything needed inside two sample bags, he also made sure to take several notebooks, sketch books, pencils and pens into a messenger bag that seemed not to have a bottom but you could always find what you were looking for just by putting your hand in so longs it had been put in there in the first place. After this was done he made sure to pack several coolers of sealed food and drink, enough for several meals for those people who were in his team for around eight days, then had Shindara and Amuul store it within their home realm, within the coolers also held purified pockets of air so they could eat and drink but they only lasted for around two hours so it wasn't a long term solution by any means. He had no idea if they would be their that long but still he liked to be safer than sorry when he could, he guessed it paid to be paranoid every now and then. Getting to the barrier after several hours of travel he seen the many warnings that had been left and to his surprise he could actually read what was there given he couldn't read the stuff at the company he was meant to deal with, well he could at least read the parts that hadn't been faded due to time, destroyed, the elements or fell away since they had originally been planted there. Bringing his hand up to them he started to zone out the world around him and read the warnings as he awaited the rest of his team to turn up.

Sol turned up not long after Ruvel had appeared and the Deathless was noticeably on edge, his odd colored eyes held a sense of worry in them and nervousness not normally seen in them. To tell the trust Sol had studied the samples that his president had given him intently normally his best way of testing and learning about a poison or virus was to injest it since his body could break it down and he could self analyze but everytime he wanted to take a taste to learn instantly every instinct in his body told him to stop and get away. Since his normal method was out the window Sol used his other methods using the equipment in his lab. In the end the samples stumped him since he could not lock onto specific genomes and dna strands in whatever these Viruses were. He was working on a cure but it seemed so far off. The dragon stood beside Ruvel his face completely serious as he waited for the younger man to speak to him.

When Sol had been told about what had happened at the Gala he was surprised and unnerved a bit that such people had shown up and that they caused such trouble, thankfully it allowed the company and the alliance by extension to know what was going on and gave them this chance to figure out the source of this issue and hopefully find a way to deal with it if not get rid of it. Still being right at the barrier of this place a deep seated unease once again filled him and something in him told him that he needed to be extra careful inside the barrier and even if his instincts wanted him to run or to not continue the Deathless would continue no matter what. Ruvel was here and risking himself so why should he be any different since he wanted to show that he was better then he had been in the past. The Deathless was attached to Tolgalen and he didn’t want whatever this was to cause any more trouble on his new home. The slayer knew that if the two pathogens did indeed come from this region of Tolgalen that this was going to be a very tough and deadly journey past the barrier.

I don’t like this at all something about this place puts me on edge worse then ever but I know that we need to get sample and it’s the best way to get more for me to work with’ he thought as he Paced slightly around the edge  his unease was very apparent but there was no desire to flee in his eyes. He simply paced like a predator looking at prey with intent, after a bit he spoke up when he heard the younger man whisper that to go passed invited death. At that Sol looked at the runes and barriers and he actually gained a sense of wonder for a moment before worry set in again.”These runes and barriers are quite old  I can only wonder how long they have been active for” he questioned as he sighed after a moment and pulled out a notebook  and started to write some things down making sure to note how this area was under heavy lockdown in the back of his head Nox was very wary of this area as well but made no comment at the moment, the entity did know that if Sol got into mortal danger he would take over to save him though.

Glancing around the Deathless noticed just how foul this area seemed to be and it was easy to spot the changes in the area before the runes and after them, the trees behind them were still healthy and  didn’t seem to be effected by the  issues that were locked away  behind the runes and warnings,on the other side though it was clear that something was wrong as the trees were twisted and discolored, the slayer could smell a nasty odor from that direction and   even the earth didn’t seem right. Sol was no earth dragon but something about the ground was off it was like it was…sour. It just made the slayers even more  uneasy since something like this was a illness or poison beyond his knowledge or comprehension and it was unnerving since he was always trying to push the boundary of his knowledge. Sols main focus besides  gaining the samples would be  keeping Ruvel safe along with the others since he had a feeling he might have a resistance to this area but he would most likely not be fully immune so he would be taking multiple precautions to make sure not only did he stay safe as possible but he would try his best to make sure everyone else stayed safe as well.

It was interesting, how such a situation could bring so many different people together. Watching the waves splash by in a hypnotizing pattern of foamy cap after cap, and feeling the sea breeze whip her hair about her face, Sorano leaned over the edge of the boat. A gentle spray of salty water pricked her cheeks, leaving faint sticky residue as the salt began to solidify upon her pores. She wasn’t really a fan of boat rides – the constant rocking motion could often give her a bit of motion sickness, and the buffeting wind that never seemed to let up made the experience a very unenjoyable one for the letter mage. But on a boat ride she was anyways – off to do a job unlike any she had done before.

While usually jobs were performed in pairs or small groups, this one had the majority of members of three separate independent guilds participating. Having been asked to assist by the West Fiore Trading Company, a group of mages that Fairy Tail had allied themselves with, Sorano had decided to provide the assistance of her guild. After all, it would be a good experience for some of the more ambitious members – it always looked good for high-paying clients, if a mage had high levels of practice in more dangerous situations, right? Ah, well, in the end, what had happened was that they were here, and they would have to complete the job. Sorano herself had not been too involved with organizing the teams and the structure of how the proceedings were going to go, but of what she understood, the participants were to be split into six separate groups, each working on different aspects of the task. They were researching some sort of condition, a strange phenomenon that had been occurring throughout parts of Tolgalen, and if it were to be a threat, they would find a way to eliminate it.

Sorano’s particular group was led by Ruvel, the CEO of the WFTC, who had only just recently left the child form he was in the last time she’d seen him. He no longer had to translate through the maid spirit he had with him last time, though speaking still didn’t seem to be something he did very much. Ah well, that was fine for her. Besides just Ruvel, however, there were two mages from Silver Wolf, another member guild of the alliance, and two other mages from the company. It seemed that she was to be the only Fairy Tail mage in this group – fine by her. It meant she could have more chances to speak with people who may be important later on in her career – after all, making connections around the guilds, or establishing better relations with important people like the CEO…this could all be very useful to her in the future.

Currently, they were walking towards the location they were to investigate and collect samples from, led by Ruvel himself. He had apparently already investigated the area, and noticed symptoms from the people, suggesting that whatever phenomenon was occurring had passed through here already. As they were merely collecting samples, there shouldn’t be too much worry for attackers, but there was very, very little information about the symptoms and what they were researching. There were always potential dangers for what these samples could contain, and every caution should still be taken. As a result, the letter mage had come armed to the teeth, even if she didn’t look the part on the outside. Discreet mirrors lined her clothing, providing pockets of space to store items in – simply reaching a hand into the folds of her skirt could produce a magical amulet or item if needed.

Arriving at their location, Sorano’s eyes would instantly be drawn to the many charms, wards, barriers, and warnings that adorned the entrance to the territory, posing quite the menacing foreshadowing to whatever was to come. After processing a few symbols of the ancient languages they were written in, the letter mage’s magical senses instantly decoded the vocabulary, reading through heaps and heaps of warnings – death, destruction, misery – it was all they seemed to speak of. Certainly, it seemed that whatever they were about to get involved in wasn’t even remotely safe. Had it been perhaps a bad idea to have extended an invitation to her whole guild to help out? Maybe not. But what was done was done, and they would have to finish this investigation first.

Listening to Sol’s comment on the age of these runes, Sorano shrugged internally. They didn’t seem recent – that was for sure. “Who knows how old they are, but whatever their age, this is a threat that has definitely been around for a while. Strange that symptoms have only begun to surface now, no?” Her voice monotonous and void of emotion as always, the letter mage leaned forward to get a better look, long black hair sweeping off her shoulder. “It’s very obvious that whoever put these up, however, was extremely scared of whatever lies in wait for us. It would be for the best to exercise ultimate caution in approaching the situation.”

    My Light...

After being in Magnolia only several days ago the girl found, curiously, that she missed the company that she had with her the entire time. Though the city was crowded and there was chaos everywhere she turned there was one person who had stayed by her side through the battle that had raged on. There was a rising guilt in the girl's stomach that she couldn't help as she had since then seemed to have left Elias. Not abandoned as she could never do that, after all she had promised that she would look after him and show to him that he was more that what he though he was. She would help him to see that he was worth more than he thought, she would shove it into his face if she had to.

While there the girl had experienced so much more than she had before, there were so many new memories and experiences that she thought that she would never had. For just a moment the girl felt like she was able to act her age. Of course that could only last so long before she was thrust back into the world that she had ignored for a bit.

Upon receiving the letter from the Guild-Master, someone whom she had never really met and only seen before, the girl ripped herself from her fantasy world and immediately went back to the hard and cruel world that she surrounded herself with.

The letter that the girl had received had very little actually written on it and instead mainly indicated that she was needed and was to come back to the guild to be informed of the situation more. Based on the letter the girl had gathered a bad feeling and the next morning had bid her goodbyes to Elias, telling him that she would be back as soon as she could and that she would continue to teach him to be confident in himself. As she was flying back the girl could only contemplate what the letter was about and what the actual problem could be. The letter was serious and though she couldn't see the face of the person who had written it, she could feel the aura of the letter and the fact that there was something extremely wrong.

Within the next day the girl had gotten back to the guild, West Fiore Trading Company. She had landed only outside of the company and swiftly made her way into the building where she was met with Oya crawling up her leg. The poor animal had been left behind while the girl had been with Elias. Reaching a hand up the girl ran her petite fingers along the stoats fur before she made her way further in to the guild.

    -*-

With a stoat curled up on her shoulder, and her body dressed for battle with a health mask on, the girl made practically made herself disappear among the other people that she was walking with.

After being at the guild for a couple days to get the rest of the people that were messaged the girl had realized that WFTC was not the only guild that had been messaged. A brooding mood entered the bottom of her stomach. This was not good. Pulling her bottom lip into her mouth the girl recounted the moment that she had been placed into group two with the CEO of WFTC and the Guild-Master of Fairy Tail and several people that she had never really met before. UP on the seeing the Guild-Master for Fairy Tail the angel in her body shut herself off as if the wizard could feel Alyia anyways. With her magic, all but only a little of her magic was detectable. She had the magic aura of a low ranking wizard.

When walking with the rest of the group towards their destination the girl though about what they might see; dead bodies; spores, probably; infected animals? Aliannah didn't know. All they had to do was collect things and analyze them in hopes that they would find out what had happened.

What she didn't expect to see was the wards, charms, and warnings that surrounded the territory and decorated nearly every pile of mass. Pulling her bottom lip between her teeth the girl had approached one of the many charms, everything in her being had told her not to touch it. Taking in a deep breath the girl focused her magic and began to view the auras of the place, eyes turning a soft golden colour. The area was old, maybe even thousands of years old. But it was not only old it was basically drenched in dark auras that melded into that of death and deception. This place was not a place that was meant for normal people.

Releasing the magic she had focused, her eyes faded back to the natural sky blue that they were. Looking up from her position the girl could only imagine what lay ahead of them. What had happened before this caused a pain in the girl's heart, there were things that could have been done to prevent this, how many people had this place hurt before? Letting her lip fall from her teeth she looked back at the group she was traveling with. There were several high ranking people and that was a blessing, but with what had happened in this place, Aliannah was not sure what was going to happen.

Hearing several of the words from the people she was traveling with the girl moved back in on herself. There were really only three people that she was comfortable with, her sister, Cirven, and Elias. Around new people the girl was quiet. But no matter, the girl nodded. What was said was true. What lay her was old and was a warning against something that was seriously dangerous. Aliannah wasn't sure what was going to come next, but it was something that she wasn't sure that she wanted to know, but it was something that she was going to know because she didn't want anyone else to get hurt.

Means of transportation were mostly simple for the memory mage. He would often utilize a wormhole to transport himself through vast distances in short amounts of time, enjoying the view of Apocrypha as it led him cross the borders between the two worlds. His world of Apocrypha, however, was very different from the world outside - lands weren’t a thing, and there was no such land in Apocrypha as the large country known as Tolgalen. A rather vast land that Yuvon thirsted to learn more of, and today would help him achieve some sweet start knowledge about its locations and habitats.

He and various other wizards were called upon to check this part of the country that was untouched due to a terrifying omen that oozed out of its very corners. Those omens took form of symptoms that sat marks on people in both a figurative and kind of literate way. Their group, which was a gathering of wizards from Silver Wolf, West Fiore Trading Company as well as Fairy Tail, was tasked with taking samples from the fauna, shrubbery and wildlife that might show interesting features unique to entities living within the restricted area.

As prescribed, Yuvon wore his backpack filled with various test tubes, suckers and small vacuum tubes to pick up materials and liquids as well as plastic and glass boxes and gloves. The backpack also contained sticks and various acids as well as a pH paper roll. He was dressed for the occasion.

Once upon reaching the front corner of the land, Yuvon noticed just what the others who arrived earlier than him did; magic seals and runes blocking the way in an apparent fashion. They were put on almost every single thing around. His notebook opened itself on his hand as words lit up from nowhere on the blank pages, writing down what Yuvon commanded it to. This place had a disgusting aura, far from the more joyous mainland of Tolgalen. These runes were probably put up as a trap as the runes needed translation. Just what he thought; warning omens of what awaited them behind the curtain.

As his teammates began speaking about the runes and their assumed purpose, Yuvon held a hand on his chin in deep thought. “Said person who put these runes up must’ve, at the very least, experienced what lies in there and come out alive to tell the tale,” he added to the conversation under his golden mask, “This place could be cursed… or infected. I’m eager to find out.”

The soldier girl from Silver Wolf quietly grit her teeth, walking along the other mages of the group she had been assigned to by the Alliance of Independent Guilds, quietly following, thinking to herself. Why had she done this again ? Aspen silently contemplated to herself. Of course, when Silver Wolf had first been approached by this West Fiore Trading Company she had vaguely heard of before to assist in some possibly dangerous matter, the guild had agreed, the two were in some sort of alliance, after all. If only she had received more information before all of this had started and she had agreed to join the expedition. Originally, Aspen had thought this to be a perfect test for her newfound Dragon Slayer strength, thinking this to be some sort of monster invasion or clearing mission again, the information she had received when she had arrived on Tolgalen ultimately contradicting her initial hypothesis immensely. Apparently, there had been some sort of area on the continent of Tolgalen itself that had only recently been, uh, "rediscovered", however someone could lose track of their own territory was completely foreign to the ex-Paladin from Pergrande, and furthermore, apparently this area had been assumed to be the source of some sort of ... illness, as it had sounded from the wording of the instructions given in the collective briefing of the three guilds that made up the alliance, the Metal Dragon Slayer at once losing most of the enthusiasm she had felt before, the feeling replaced with nervousness. Of course, the girl was a soldier through and through, a good engineer, that much was true, but by no means a doctor. She knew how to treat cuts, bruises, gunshots, but the idea of an invisible pathogen ending everything she had worked for so hard, more exactly, her new life ... it frightened her immensely.

But, of course, Aspen Laeta Azarov, and by extension, Silver Wolf, had a reputation to uphold. She was a soldier no more, now a magus, as the people of this land called the particular profession she had assumed, and as such held the responsibilities and implications that accompanied this admittedly rather complicated concept. So, Aspen found herself in the midst of a few other mages from the different guilds, Silver Wolf, Fairy Tail, and the West Fiore Trading Company, the group, one out of 6 making up this expedition as she had heard, instructed with acquiring samples of air, soil, water, and generally all manners of presumably infected bio-matter, an occupation most vital to discerning the true nature of this virus that seemed so severely fatal to both mind and body. Apparently, both the guild master of the West Fiore Trading Company and Fairy Tail were present, the fact that extremely capable mages had been assigned to the group she was with granting her a slight feeling of relief, which would instantly be reverted, however, when the girl's amber eyes fell onto the faintly glowing protective barrier erected around this presumably plagued land, her teammates immediately beginning to translate some of these seals and runes plastered all over the place. "Sounds like nothing but misery awaits us in there ...", she muttered to herself before walking forward step by step, slowly making sure to, with the highest possible cation, not fall behind and follow the other mages. She had a hard time understanding the sentiment displayed by Yuvon, the guild mate she had met on the Celestial Sanctum once before, but ... an order was an order, especially to the girl. Her right hand wandering to the small, grey Iron Key on the chain around her neck with practiced motion, the metal of the item would liquify, expand, reshape, before finally forming within her grasp a machine pistol of intricate, modern design. She clenched the weapon firmly with both hands, her right flicking the safety switch of the weapon to a different position, the arrow on the little button pointing at a pictogram symbolizing a stream of bullets, "full auto", of course, before moving to the bolt, pulling it back and down slightly, the metallic snapping sound as it raced forward and chambered a bullet audible just the blink of an eye later. There would be no going back from here on. They had no idea what they were dealing with, the place reeked of death and unfathomable danger awaited them ahead.

"Well, what are we waiting for ?" she asked with the same expressionless, stoic face and monotonous voice as always, the face mask designed to offer at least some protection to disease muffling her words somewhat. While she wasn't exactly the most well-equipped for the particular task assigned to her and she couldn't rid herself of the nerve-twisting feeling in her stomach, it seemed like the others were, and as long as she had her key, she would be fine. Her strength was combat, anyway. "I'm ready when you are".

    Educational Expedition

Ruvel's fingers continued to move slowly over the runes and text on the magical posts as he tried to decipher a little more of what was being said in the warnings, it was not frustrating to the blonde headed youth but also giving him more than a small headache as this was an actual thing he could read by himself strangely as he found he could only read stuff once outside the facility and that was inside the chamber where Korvin had died and been reborn as one of the Deathless; howerver it had seemed to him the more that he read that whatever was within the land beyond had been tampering with the barrier in the hopes to get out. He had to admit that frightened him to no end, but decided for now he'd need to let it lie as it seemed they hadn't broken through but this would definatly need to be strengthened at a later point so made a mental note to do it as soon as he could. Well at least that explained how the plagued party crashers got out of an area that was suppose to be heavily warded, time had weakened the wards and they just chipped away until they found out somewhere that they could effect them fully to make a hole. He had been so focused on what he was doing that he hadn't even sensed the others arrival, then again it wasn't like that would made the slightest difference thanks to his limited sensory and so almost jamp out of his skin as one of his own vice presidents spoke to him "Will you give me some warning next time Mr Terumi you decide to approach me, pretty sure I'm to young to die of a heart attack and who knows if Demi will turn up to finish the job she started months ago where we up as children, you remember the event I speak of yes?" he said his tone was still less than amused but sighed quickly afterwards, his hand at his chest as he tried to get his heartbeat under control once more, it would do no good if he keeled over then and there. He really thought since he had always been on the run in the facility that he would expect the unexpected, it seemed being away from the hell of 'home' was making him less than observant as he once was, this was something that he would have to correct and quickly or he may end up back as an experiement once more, this was something he wasn't overly fond of thinking about and so would be on high alert from now on more so as this place seemed to be dangerous in its own right, turning he looked at the group as they turned up "So I looked at the warnings here, they pretty much say there are two deadly pathogens here, Siren's Whisper and Submerged Ripple. I can't make much else out without spending a few more hours reading, this is just something we can't afford unfortunatly." he told them as he looked at the others that the group was together, he was actually quite worried about going into this area once more as this time he knew what he was walking into thanks to the warnings he just read, the first time he had flew in with the help of Bennu, had he had this information the first time around he likely wouldn't have entered if he was honest to himself.

Going over the words that Sol had said before looking back at the barrier once more "At least two thousand eight hundred years old going by the language used." he said with a shrug like it was a common thing to know. It was now he believed it was time to speak to his group about what they were to do when here. "Thank you all for helping myself and my guild in this endeavour, I realise just how dangerous this is to everyone that has volunteered." he knew if things got out of here then soon it wouldn't just be his home that was at risk but the entirety of Earthland and that was something that he couldn't allow. "It is nice to see you again Miss Granon, do give my best wishes to Miss Fairchilde when you see her again." a small smile coming to his face as he spoke the last part of his sentence. "I'm glad to have two of my own here and it's wonderful to see two of the rising stars of Silver Wolf here too." he hadn't met the two silver wolf mages but had heard of them from others over the last few months so was glad to have them with him.

"Okay to business, as everyone knows the three guilds are working together to see what information we can find out about this place, we've split into several smaller units so we can cover more ground. Our groups main objective is to collect samples of the earth, air, water in several areas. Fauna and flora are required too as is samples of anything biological be it dead or alive, if alive nothing that would do harm to the person and only with permission should you take it." he said calmly allowing this to set in "We may come across villages, towns, cities, ruins and the likes if we do we should create maps along the way for research at a later date, we will likely come across things that will try to attack us because from what I remember that is pretty much everything here." He looked at them all before scratching his temple as he thought for a moment "Might also be a good idea to keep notes on how we each feel along the way as we might get infected, it might even be a new strain if we do given that we've came from the outside etc." he continued looking at them knowing they where likely nervous about taking even a single foot beyond that safety net just before them.

His dual coloured eyes turned to the Fairy Tail guild master as he shook his head "No, these symptoms have been around far longer than any of us have been alive. I've been here once before around six to eight months ago because of a rumour I heard. People were going against their normal natures and dying only to rise as something else, when I spoke to some villagers they said this was natural but it hadn't been that bad. I put them in another place with barriers until we could find a cure but that could be hundreds of years off." he said his tone stoic as he though back to just how long ago the barriers were placed up, the same with the warnings. "I wouldn't know whom placed these up or their nature but they didn't want people wandering in or things getting out, that much is clear as crystal." he said to the male wearing the mask before his eyes went to the other Silver Wolf mage and he nodded "We need to keep together as we don't know what to expect, no one goes anywhere alone and please keep within eye shot of each other just in case the worst happens." he notified the others as he passed through the barriers and started heading north towards the village he had once been in.

As Ruvel jumped and  told him to give him a warning next time, the Void Walker nodded seriously.”I am Sorry Rui I will make sure to alert you next time” he explained. As his guildmaster also went on to explain that there are two pathogens here Sol instantly understood.”that explains the two I have seen in what I have been studying but as for what they  fully do and how they are transmitted  its still evading me” he said running his hand thru his hair”Rui these things are so complex its hard to get a handle on them the more I can get a look at and how it intereacts with hosts it might help me greatly” he said before he glanced out at the infected land with  worry in his eyes.” I don’t want to see this infect anyone else” he said softly. Looking to the others he bowed his head In greeting and he turned back to the runes as Ruvel mentioned that they were over  a thousand years old going by the language which made Sol even more on edge.”To be sealed away for so long and still be so potent what on earth could have made such pathogens” he questioned.

As Ruvel explained their Mission Sol simply nodded and he formed a mask around his face with shadows to hopefully keep himself somewhat safe. He knew he was not fully immune to the dangers in here but he had hope that he was resistant. As his guildmaster moved forward Sol  was right beside him and a little to the right as they moved he glanced back at the group.”Be on your guard not much is know about this place  I dread to think what lurks here ” he  said  as he moved beside his guild master. It didn’t take long before he glanced around and noticed that they were bearly across the barrier and already he was seeing odd plants that he had never seen before but also  seem to move oddly when they moved past as if they were reacting to their presence.

It amazed Sol what he saw just after they stepped beyond the barrier, some plants he saw reacted to their presence and seemed to follow them almost like  they could see them, it made the Deathless rather unnerved since while this world had all kinds of strange flora in it this was rather new to him. Catching a glimpse of thorns the deathless thought twice about taking samples from that plant. Even the air and  trees seemed to be discolored and gave of a very vile feel. ‘ I can only wonder who made such a plague and who would be so foolish as to unleash it', he thought as he  took a small sample of soil from near the edge. He would take a few more when the went deeper in but it would be good to have one to see if it was any different further in. in his mind Sol wondered if  this was how the ground and plants were effected then what would the wildlife be like if there was even any natural wildlife left. ‘I can only dread things that could adapt and thrive in such an environment.’ He thought to himself

Sol glanced at all the team that had arrived and it made him feel good to know how many of them were willing to risk themselves for the betterment of eathland,in truth a horrible gate could befall all of them but the deathless knew that if they stuck together  they could persevere thru this mission and hopefully not become sick and afflicted by either of the sicknesses inside of this deadly place.’I do hope this does not end badly for all of our sakes’ he thought  though he pushed his fear aside since he could not let it rule him for this mission. He needed to be strong

    WHEN WORDS COLLIDE

STICKS AND STONES CAN'T BEGIN TO COMPARE
Slowly, the whole group would gather around. Present was Ruvel, Sol, and a blonde woman who was also from West Fiore Trading Company. A strange masked figure and an irritated-looking girl represented Silver Wolf – Sorano was the only member of Fairy Tail in this mission. Ruvel interpreted from his side of the barrier runes that told of pathogens Siren’s Whisper and Submerged Ripple – things that could possibly be what awaited them behind the barrier, where they were about to go. While the names didn’t sound horribly frightening, the fact that they were apparently deadly as well gave the girl a bit of pause.

Her thoughts would be quickly interrupted by Ruvel’s next comment, however, as he gathered everyone about him, thanking them for coming. In response to his comment towards the guild master herself, Sorano nodded politely. “The pleasure is mine. I will relay your well wishes to Miss Fairchilde, naturally.” It was a comment that certainly piqued her interests – Arcadia of all people? It was an awfully specific request. What could be going on between the two? She didn’t let herself get lost in those thoughts though. Like Ruvel said, it was time to get to business and focus on the task at hand. As she had known already, they would be collecting samples around the area, but also creating research maps to plot out what they encountered. The possibility of attack was also something to anticipate, of course. A mage should never enter a situation unprepared to battle, after all. It seemed that too many seemingly innocent situations escalated into violence in this line of work.

The other guild master’s next comment was definitely not a very positive one, however. In case of the situation that someone could contract the disease themselves…again, another grim reminder of the dangers of this job. In response to her question, Ruvel would respond with a quick summary of what he had learned from his own investigation. It reminded her of the Dearly Departed situation, all the way from the beginning of her career. People dying but coming to life as something else – a nasty situation for all involved. This was obviously a much bigger case than the infestation in the mountains though. If these symptoms had been going on for as long as a thousand and eight hundred years…oh god. That was a ridiculous time for a disease to be festering. Who knew what mutations could have occurred in such a long timespan?

With a final caution from both the blonde and raven-haired company members, the entered, pushing past the dreadful warnings and barriers, into the land of infection.

Sorano cast a final cursory glance around her, mentally checking off all her tools. She’d brought along as many supplies as she could take in preparation, and her hands buzzed with energy, ready to dive into action at a moment’s notice. Her mirrors were ready at her side as well, prepared to store any variety of dangerous materials. As a test, the letter mage stepped inside, raising her jeweled wrist into the air briefly to test for stray information. The cool, clinical voice began to speak into her ears, detailing the percentages of particles in the air around them, droning on without revealing any useful information to them at the moment.

Shutting the item off with a flick of her finger, tapping gently on her earlobe, the girl walked forward slowly. Each step made was deliberate, sinking ever so slightly into the soft earth, occasionally marked with stray bits of grass and plants. The environment they were in didn’t seem outwardly too diseased, but certainly didn’t look the healthiest, either. Trees were spaced widely apart, with prickly brown brushes and groundcover sprawling through those spaces. Twisted trunks forced their way up to the meager sunlight, branches desperately grasping at the sky. An occasional rustle could be heard – the barest sign of life with an occasional sad birdcall. The weather gave off the feeling that it was eternally cloudy, the gray monoliths floating solemnly through the air. Not too different from Phoenix Mountain weather, to be honest, but there was some sort of dangerous feeling the letter mage seemed to have when in the region that made her body want to shudder, restrained only by her lack of emotion.

“Shall we begin collecting samples right away, or would you prefer we wait and walk a ways in before commencing?” This question was directed by the leader of their little squad, for Sorano was unusually lacking in knowledge about this job. Typically, she was the one leading jobs along – it had somehow gotten that way as the girl had risen up the ranks – so it felt odd to be following someone else along this time. But she had trust in Ruvel. Another God of Ishgar, he should have the ability to lead them along.

    My Light...

Listening quietly to the other people around her Aliannah, realized that she was not the only person who seemed to sense that there was something wrong with the place. Looking around at the group once again, now that two other people had joined them, the blonde could see that they were a group of a lot of mismatched people, three people in high positions all knowing each other one way or another, and three that had no knowledge of the others. A small pout protruded on the girls's pink lips before she shook her head, of course no one could see it due to her mask. It didn't matter how well the mages knew each other, what mattered was they figured out what was going on and completed what they were sent out to do.

Looking back at the runes that she had been looking at before Aliannah missed some of the conversation that had been held between a couple of the others. But the thing that snatched the girl from her independent investigating was when her Guild Master called out to everyone. Leaving her spot the petite female made her way over to the rest of the group and listened in on what her Guild Master was saying.

Honestly Aliannah felt a little bad that she didn't know the Guild Master as they had been inducted while she had been away. She really only knew Cirven, since she had followed him to WFTC from Black Sails, but after he left she didn't know anyone else. Being away from the guild for so long had caused for the girl to miss out on a significant advancement of the guild and its social structure. The people that she knew were long gone and there were now more people that she didn't know than she did know.

Listening to that the blonde male in front of her said, the girl realized that what was going on was an infection, some sort of infection that not only affected the people but also the entire environment. However, on top of all of that, no one knew what exactly was going on nor where things came from nor what exactly had happened. But she supposed that is why they were there, to start to figure out.

As the Guild Master carried on with his speech the girl shifted her eyes to the side. Her body would not react correctly to whatever anyone else got as she was not relying on the power of her own body, but the power of the angel that was living inside of her. Tracing her symptoms would do the group no good and hearing that things would be attacking them along the way, probably going to infect them, the girl realized that whatever was going on in there would probably affect her teammates for today.

Her feet shifted from putting the weight on one to the other as she picked up on the last bit of what the blonde other said to the group. Do not get separated from the rest of the group. The girl gave no verbal indication of hearing, but a strong gaze could confirm that she was. With one last warning from what seemed a second in command to her Guild Master the group headed in to the blocked off area.

Taking in a deep breath the girl closed her blue citrine eyes and pushed herself forwards to follow the others as they crossed the border. The moment that she passed the girl could feel the difference in the air. The auras around the place were completely different. Outside of the barrier there was a mist of mystery and caution, warning to those who got close. But now, now the air was heavy with darkness and death. She could feel it crawling along her skin, causing for the girl to shiver and look at the stoat that was curled up on her shoulder. The blonde had half a mind to tell the stoat to go home, where it was safe and where she wouldn't be able to get hurt. However, the girl knew better and knew that the stoat was going to tag along whether she liked it or not.

Pushing past the feeling of death and dread the girl was able to look at the her surroundings. The trees were bent in ways that made them seem eery but dead, like the plague had hit, infected them so that they would change, but then decided not to kill them. The shrubs and the bushes seemed to agree, however they seemed to have less leaves than any normal plant would and even the leaves that the plants had were brown. Everything emanated 'should be dead, but taken over with infection'. A grimace pulled at the lips of the girl and she moved her hand up to pet the stoat that nuzzled into her hand for comfort. Aliannah didn't like destruction, she had seen enough for two live cycles after this, death taking land and people, leaving behind nothing but what could have been.

The FairyTail Guild Master suddenly spoke up and started the girl from her thoughts of the area around her. Indeed they should start to collect samples. That would be a good idea. The blonde mage pondered for a moment on what she should collect as one of her hands reached into the bag at her waist that held all kinds of different containers. She could fly around and make a map as her Guild Master had suggested to the group. She could probably gather a couple insects, as any infection wouldn't really be able to affect her. Maybe plants as she wouldn't have to worry about touching anything. Of course that wouldn't be the same for Oya, she wasn't allowed to touch the larger plants nor eat anything.

"Ummm... I don't know if this could be of any help, but I could fly above the group, close enough to see you all of course, and begin to draw a map?" It was a suggestion, but Aliannah wasn't sure that it would be accepted as she would be in the air alone. In sight of course, but alone.

The runes only promised bad things, that much was clear. After having taken a wide look around the area where the group stood, many of the same warnings were repeated along the walls and carpets of magic seals left on both solid objects and floating as curtains. But he was ready and had prepared his stash for collecting soil and material, and he was more than ready to find out what these fauna and flora caused so much ruckus because of. There must have been some interesting circumstances about this restricted area in Tolgalen, and likely, Ruvel would explain that to the team right away.

Their mission was unique in comparison to the other teams per the information that he gained from the young God of Ishgar - actually, Yuvon was accompanied by two Gods of Ishgar, counting the Guildmaster of Fairy Tail Sorano Granon with her respected presence! What a marvel… anyway, they should also be looking out for biological material, whether if it be dead or alive, and that bringing living material back for research would require approval from Ruvel. It did make sense; Yuvon remembered stories in some of his novels revolving around idiots bringing deadly poisons back home only to contaminate their entire countries. They were blessed with wisdom and insight as well as foresight, and even though hindsight needed to be mentioned here, who really benefitted from that under these unbelievably heavy burdens and conditions? We were talking about a disease of sorts that infected a chunk of an entire continent, a disease so hostile that the magic seals around here held a bigger role than he thought. Ruvel did add to his theory that the runes also kept the infection in check, given that it hadn’t spread out from the barrier ever since… wow, a millennium and further four hundred years of time.

So Siren’s Whisper and Submerged Ripple… they were memorized for now. And they would hopefully be analyzed further thanks to their continuing effort which started right here and now. Yuvon would make sure to keep his guard up, however, as pathogens and diseases weren’t only responsible for injuring its targets. No, in many cases, what could be described as transformations could take place thanks to a virus or bacteria. It was all part of cause and effect.

Entering the area was easier than assumed. But the shrubbery inside was straight out of a horror movie of the kind where you dwell into a post-apocalyptic world. Other than the crooked branches that desperately grasped any sources of light in the air, the soft and mushy earth beneath their feet and the grayish color tones, Yuvon smelled the stench of something nearby. It was repulsive, and the stench didn’t change its strength by having his head turned to the side, in which he assumed it to be the smell of the entire area.

He moved his head up per the blonde sorceress’ words. She was capable of flight and suggested that they draw a map, specifically by having her hover above them and watching their directions. It was easier to draw a map from up there given that a map usually gave a dimension of the area from a bird’s perspective - as in looking at the map and its trails, roads and areas was like watching the same areas from above. “I second that idea,” he added whilst kneeling down to get a closer look at the soil beneath them. Soft dirt and mud was common, but grass was still on the surface… crumbled, dark-brown grass. A sample was taken.

“It’s safe to say that these pathogens don’t discriminate between plant and animal.”

So far, so good. The leader of the West Fiore Trading Company, finally, seemed to take his attention off those runes and shifted it onto the group of mages, though ... was this kid really the guild master of this supposedly influential and powerful organization traders that was so significant it claimed an entire continent as their own? The soldier girl could hardly believe it, especially since the kid gave off ... negligible amounts of magical energy. Seems like she would have to trust her instincts over her senses on this one. She would, however, keep his bratish behavior in mind, especially when addressing the man with the darker hair. Maybe she just couldn't deal with kids. It was no use. When she was addressed, even called a, ahem, "rising star of Silver Wolf", her face remained the same as always, stoic, expressionless, while cringing deeply internally, though giving the boy a nod in response. This guy wasn't exactly the smoothest talker now, was he? It did not matter in the slightest. She wasn't here for big talk, but for action. When the blonde kid babbled on about their mission, repeating what they had already been briefed about, Aspen listened, her hands still tightly grasping both the pistol- and foregrips of the submachine gun. Perhaps not everyone had been briefed? Unless she would receive contradictory information, she would class this act as a redundancy. Still, the brat's speech would leave her more confused and with more question than before. Wasn't scouting and preparing maps the objective of Team 1, their ominous scouting force, or had she gotten something wrong? She had not brought any equipment for tasks like that. In any case, she would not raise her voice or speak up at all for that matter. It wasn't her place to care, and care she would not.

When she took a quick glance from side to side, none of the other team members seemed to care, either. She decided to ignore it completely. Though one thing the blonde boy had to say stuck with the soldier, the Silver Wolf mage once more feeling the nervousness flare in her guts. The prospect of infection was real, very real, and as far as she could tell, from what the man with the black hair, who on some level seemed attached to the blonde boy, had to say, a cure wouldn't exactly be out there and available either. She would just have to, figuratively, of course, bite the bullet and hope for the best, hope that she, as a Dragon Slayer, would have some kind of resistance to disease. Not only, however, did this illness appear to cause a terrifying degree of suffering and end your life in the end, no, it also seemed like, from what Ruvel was saying, that it would cause you to rise once more after you had fallen. A fate most terrifying, indeed. Perhaps, Aspen thought back, the Paladins had a point when they spoke of the terrible deeds and the sins mages had committed. Creating a plague that could cause such havoc, such devastation seemed like an act most foolish, if not for the safety of the continent called Tolgalen, then for the safety of all of Earthland. It's not like it could be changed. Aspen sighed.

Making sure the backpack was secure around her shoulders and the black jacket, making sure that her mask would sit over her mouth and nose tightly, and lastly, making sure that her magazine was full and that she had spares ready, of course, all simply created from the iron key, she would follow her teammates, stepping through the barrier of seals and protective magic. The first impression she got of this place that was colloquially referred to as the "Plague Area", Tsak Ordahic, was the overwhelming, omnipresent stench of foulness, decay, and death, her slayer senses not exactly helping in warding these influxes off. It was appalling. The girl, for a second, had to compose herself to keep a straight face. After the smell came the sights. The place was covered in decaying or already dead plant matter, as if serving as a warning to everyone who dared to venture through the layer of defenses, the dull browns and greys all around not adding to an impression of hospitality. All of the girl's instincts would let her know that venturing deeper into the place would be a bad idea, and yet, she had volunteered for this. She had a duty to do, a duty to her guild, and a duty to her new comrades. She had, after all, sworn an oath to Leona. For now though, she would remain silent, continuing to walk alongside her assigned teammates for this mission, keeping out an eye for anything suspicious or potentially threatening, her submachine gun shouldered and ready to be fired at anything that would dare make an attempt on anyone's life.

    Elias Bishop

    Knight of the Aurora

One moment, Elias was a member of the fledgeling guild, Aurora. What’s more, Elias had landed on an entirely new continent. A tiny part of him missed the civility of Fiore, but being so far away from familiarity had Elias in an adventurous mood. An entirely new, barely explored continent right at his fingertips. Bursting with discovery and a lot of confusing shit. Just last week Elias had found a silver celestial key. He hadn’t heard of them ever existing outside of Ishgar. Now the WFTC rep had shown him the deeds to any number of large plots of land further towards the rest of the Talogen. Now equipped with a mediocre map and a hiking bag heavier than a small child, Elias had set out for a little bit of a camping trip. Young he might be, but that wouldn’t stop Elias from finding a nice little plot to build a cabin on. For vacation purposes. He’d saved up plenty of money from his time in Aurora and even the ones from the WFTC paid extremely well. Affording a bit of barely explored land would be well within his limits.

Then he stumbled on a stone wall. Perfectly smooth and scratched with strange runes every dozen paces or so. Elias double checked his map. Nothing. Either he was further west than the map charted or the original cartographer had decided to omit such a fascinating piece of ancient civilization on a supposedly unexplored continent. Elias ran his hands across a few of the runes. They felt like they’d been jagged once. Elias would’ve guessed graffiti had those same runes not been repeated over and over again. He hazarded a guess as a warning and started to turn around.

“Nay!” Elias shouted to the air. “This is a land of exploration! Who better to discover the undiscovered than I!” Such a release felt liberating as the wizard adjusted his glasses and threw slipped his pack to the ground. A few seconds of rifling through pockets later, and he withdrew a half-used pocket journal.

He put in a new heading: ‘The Discoveries of Western Talogen” in pen and carefully copied down the short series of runes. Dissatisfied with his sloppy handwriting, Elias dug through his bag for larger pieces of paper and placed it over the runes. Carefully rubbing his pencil over them to capture their form. A stone rubbing. He’d been hoping on using them to plan out his new cabin, but such a rare discovery turned out to be far more exciting. Quickly satisfied with his work, Elias tucked the spare paper into his notebook and flipped a coin to see which direction he’d start walking. Left. He walked for about an hour before he started hearing voices.

Someone had discovered the ruins at the same time he had. Elias picked up the pace. He had to meet them.

    Educational Expedition

Ruvel sighed hearing his keeper of vice apologising to him, in the youths mind it wasn't anyone else's fault but his own, given that he had let his guard down while he was reading the ancient warnings. "It is fine Mr. Terumi the fault lays on my shoulders not your own." he said calmly as he turned once more to look to the elder albino male. "Well if I was to give my own thoughts on this, these pathogens have been here a lot longer than these warnings have been, it is no wonder that you are still very perplexed about them." he said in a very matter of a fact way, it wasn't exactly like it was taking a leap of faith given that even he knew that an outbreak of something had to be raging and considered deadly before quarantine situation happened. After it had been checked on then the next step was usually taken and if they couldn't find a peaceful solution or cure then the step was far more drastic in the form of cleansing. He had seen it once when he was back 'home' luckily people like him had been herded in to the main facility, placed into a forced slumber of sorts only problem was their minds had been fully aware of their surroundings. He was glad that the people who once called this place home only done a stringent quarantine and not opted for cleansing hoping that one day the place could be purified.

The dual coloured teens eyes laid remained on his ace as he spoke before releasing a deep breath "If I understand your race well enough Mr. Terumi, you are not immune to this either however it won't kill you..." he said looking up to the dull sky for a moment "Still it is best to be careful, where you can't die of it, could you imagine having eternal life with that type of agonising pain? You would be begging for your end..." his voice kept a quiet neutral tone, in honesty he didn't know if he would be able to grant such a request if he was asked, Sol had become a being known as a 'Deathless' thanks to a combination of himself and Demi with that came a lot of specifics, rules and such that he didn't even think Sol quite knew yet, that was just one more thing he would have to deal with when this was over. In honesty he had no idea how to approach that conversation, he knew Sol should be dead at the hands of Demi no less but he interfered before the final blow could be stuck and now he had a clusterfuck to explain to someone who was likely freaking out on some level.

Ruvel turned his back hearing the last question "We did." he said simply in answer as he continued walking forward, there was nothing more to it in his mind. Ruvel flicked his eyes towards Sol, he couldn't blame him for wanting to keep himself as safe as possible and didn't have the heart to tell him that something like that would make him more susceptible as the pathogens were in everything in here. "This is my second visit to this place, I know to where we're heading and this path when I last came here was safe... no idea now so we'll just have to see." he said his eyes closing as he continued walking without another word at least for now, there was really nothing that he could speak of he just hoped that this village hadn't gotten worse since his last visit but that could be him just having wishful thinking. Hearing his fellow guild master saying that she would pass on his greetings to Arcadia made him smile briefly "You have my thanks, it has been a while since I have seen her..." he stopped speaking as he thought about her being in the awful place his fingers tensing into balls briefly before releasing as he reminded himself that this was her decision as much as his to come here, still didn't mean he had to like it as he would call for a cleansing personally if a single hair on her hair was harmed. Realising what he was thinking he shook his head 'What in Earthland is going on with me that's not me...' he thought to himself in a confused scolding tone, it was then he heard a voice that he had never heard before enter his mind 'It's the thoughts of a loved one being harmed, get use to it, this is normal.' the voice said back to Ruvel making him pause a second from moving forward as he looked around he knew that it couldn't be someone entering his mind, he knew Shindara and Amuul protected his mind from such things but he couldn't see anything 'Who are you?' he asked back to the voice and was only met with a happy laugh 'A talk for another day I suppose, no need to rush introductions with such an important task at hand after all.' was the only answer he was met with, he wanted to find whoever was doing this but at the same time he knew the person was correct and so tried to push it to the back of his mind at least for now.

Ruvel continued once again to walk down the soft dirt path that he had walked down before, he had made sure to make mental notes of the surroundings, he wished he could say that this actually put him at ill peace but quite the opposite. He was use to barren lands and places that had been worn down over time thanks to the place he was raised, soon however he diverted from the path to a tree nearby believing perhaps starting to take samples was the best thing to do and so a dagger made of light appeared in his hand as he slowly started to cut into the moist bark that somehow seemed to almost fall apart once free of the tree. He brought out what appeared to be a sample bag but as he did where the tree had been cut seemed to ooze what he could only describe as black inky blood that smelled foul. "Okay this isn't good..." he said calmly opening the bag and taking out a sample pot putting some of the bark into it before closing it and opening another to gain some of the sickly liquid. "Well the trees bleed..." he called back to the others picking up the bag and heading back to the others showing the liquid to them "It smells rotten so be careful if you're taking samples from trees it seems." he warned the others before putting the sample into his back before placing it back into his shadow knowing that Shindara would carry it for him as it would likely get to heavy for the youth to carry himself.

Ruvel smiled to the other guild leader as he heard her question "We're going to get have several types of samples so if we get some from closer to the barrier and more as we get deeper into the area, this way we can see any differences their may be between different sites." He knew that his would have been getting marked alone the way by the elder void prince that was taking refuge within his shadow. It was odd for him to take point on such tasks as he would normally allow another to take the lead as he was more a passive person, this couldn't be the way for him anymore he was the leader of a guild and one of the beckons that shone in the darkest days within Ishgar so he couldn't hide any longer. There was also the added bonus that he was the only one that had stepped in this place before which meant he was more equipped to play tour guide for the others, but then he didn't know much more than the village they were currently near. it was then he heard the the voice from the third person of his guild and nodded "Very well, stay within sight of us gather some air samples while up there and if you see anything then come back down. I don't want you fighting alone up there for any reason." he instructed her, his tone showing he was apprehensive about such a thing but it stood to reason that it could help them with a bird eyes view to see problems ahead and gain additional samples they couldn't get from the ground.

He nodded hearing Yuvon's voice "Everything here is infected by at least one pathogen from what I have found out from my original visit here, somethings might actually have both or even a different strand of them." he said his left hand going to his right arm "Please do not eat or drink anything here, if you have brought things with you keep them sealed as much as possible." he instructed in hindsight he should have said this before but he never did know just how long they would be inside this place, in honesty he really didn't want to be here any longer than he had to be. This entire place made the youth on edge far more than what was normal for even him, it was like the whole place was either screaming in agony or relishing in the pain and misery it was taring him apart he wanted it to stop. He then realised what he said about taking maps as Aliannah suggested taking one from the sky "Yes, before it is said I realise that scouting is what team one's primary objective is but it is only natural that there will be overlap and we would be remiss in our duties if we didn't map areas that we came across. This means if we need to come back here we at least have landmarks and such we can use to navigate." he said knowing at least one person was thinking about the overlap as he would have been at least one of them had another person been in charge of this team. Ruvel glanced at the young silver haired woman briefly as she sighed, he could only imagine what was going through her head given the additional information he had given them at least they had it unlike a lot of the other teams that were entering this place. "If you don't want to continue on this path there will be no hard feelings on it. Survival instincts are strong things and there is no shame in wanting to go." he wasn't just speaking to Aspen but the team as a whole, this was his home and so yes he would risk everything for it, but he wanted to make sure the others who didn't have such a connection to this continent knew they could leave at any point and they wouldn't be thought any differently for it. He would respect their decision and ask no questions nor that they would reconsider, it wasn't his place after all; in all honesty he felt guilty that he had even asked for help in the first place but this place was just to large for his own guild to deal with on its own.

Given that he had agreed to Aliannah taking to the hair he would wait for her to do so when he was about to start walking once more and heard a loud voice of someone he didn't recognise "What in Earthland..." he spun around and ran towards the voice, he could tell by the words that he wasn't native to this area and that just meant added issues. Luckily he was still within sight of the others within the team when he came to a hault seeing the one who would foolishly pass barriers without a second though as to why they where there. He was about to open his mouth and start to bombard the other with questions like what on earth was he thinking but that quickly changed as he seen some of the trees around him starting to move. "Not good, I'll question you in a minute but move it." he said without a second word attempting to grab the others wrist and pull him towards the others of the team. "Look out seems we have company in the form of trees!" he said not knowing exactly what to expect but he did hear the creaking of the tree branches and roots behind him, he hadn't even stopped to look and see how many or what they looked like his main priority was alerting the others and getting the idiot that decided to wander in to safety.

"“I still should have announced my presence better coughed or something” he said with a sigh. As Ruvel mentioned that the pathogens were older then even these signs and warnings and that it was no wonder that the deathless was stumped as bad as he was.”True its just irritating to hit so many road blocks  I want to get the vaccine  made so we can hopefully put a cap on this thing if not cure it completely but  I worry how long this will take” he said knowing that with how complex these two were it could take years to perfect  a vaccine and until then Sol had put the samples and research he had under every type of protection  he knew and  made sure only he knew how to reach it for now. As Ruvel mentioned that Sol would not die from this illness that was in the air but the idea of living in eternal pain and the void dweller became rather worried. The moment he made the mask on his face he heard a voice in his head speak. "Remove the Mask now potentially everything in this place is infective and you just  put yourself at greater risk with that stunt” Nox  said as Sol blinked and removed it as he relized it was more dangerous to keep it on.

As Sol started to take some samples of leaves and moved down to get a cross section of a rock he struck the rock hard and saw that the rock was bleeding liquid and Sol got a sick feeling in his gut before he bagged it up along with a vial of the  rock blood and saw Ruvel approach and saw some of the blood from the bleeding trees and he also pulled out the rock and  blood he got as well”the rocks seem to bleed as well” he mentioned.”To  alter the landscape  so much whatever happened here has some frighting mutagenic properties” he said as he placed the samples away in a shadow portal so they were safe. Sol was being very cautious about how he dealt with these samples and taking them. He had tools and was making sure he had some form of barrier between him and the items so  incase in infected thru touch he was alright. Even when Ruvel mentioned that  they didn’t have to stay if the didn’t want to and Sol simply shook his head, he was intent to help and he couldn’t leave Ruvel here by himself.

Hearing the same loud voice that  Ruvel did and he turned and saw the person who had entered the land and passed the barriers haphazardly and the Deathless face palmed in irritation.”Just what we need a devil may care passerby just our luck” he mumbled before he heard the creaking of trees and he instantly become on guard. From the corner of his eyes he suddenly spotted something heading towards  Ivy and the slayer shot forward.”LOOK OUT!” he said as he grabbed her and brought her to the ground  with him hard as suddenly a large wooden hand shot out from the trees and swiped at her just bearly missing them as they hit the  dirt. Sol then  quickly turned to see two large tree like beings emerging from the woods and Sol  managed to get to his feet before he turned and faced them before he  removed his new sword from a shadow portal and he saw one of them moving towards them and he quickly dashed forward as the tree demon brought its arm forward and swiped him before taking another swipe, however Sol was ready and he  dove forward dodging the first swipe completely and the second one was already in motion so it  also missed as the Deathless delivered 4 slashes to the tree demons legs. The infected sap sprayed out but missed the slayer since he was already away from the wound before the plant creature would drop to a knee from the hit.”They are Slow use that and bait their attacks!” he called back to his allies as  he jumped back away from the second tree demon trying to crush him with its hand.  Quickly he got back to the group and readied himself.”This is not going to be easy its sap is just as infective as anything else and its got some wicked strength to back it up as well” he said as he started to form his clones from the shadows and each of them rushed forward except for the original and  started to attack the demons, the one still standing swung at them only to encounter explosions with each one that it hit almost enough to  cripple its hand.

    WHEN WORDS COLLIDE

STICKS AND STONES CAN'T BEGIN TO COMPARE
Over time, the people around her began to spread out, pulling out sample pots and preparing supplies to harvest samples of the flora around them for research later on. It seemed her question had been indirectly answered already – something quickly confirmed when Ruvel himself confirmed the answer. The blonde woman standing nearby offered to fly up and draw a map, something Sorano nodded her head along to. It was a logical enough idea, and one that the rest of the team general appeared to agree with, as well. As the younger youth moved away to converse with someone else on the expedition, Sorano herself made her way over to a tree, observing the drooping mossy bits that clung desperately onto the sagging black bark. As was so with the other people, she too had noticed the bleeding of the rocks and trees everywhere. Such a strange symptom – but magic was never really normal, was it?

With a sigh, the girl carefully manipulated the space around the moss, peeling it gently from the boss and floating it over to the container she carefully extracted from her satchel without once touching it. She didn’t trust her mirrors to carry this one for her, so it was better to leave it floating beside her while they walked. Each movement regarding the specimen was done with utmost care as she pulled the fronds into the container and fastened the lid on tight. Sealing it tight, the girl set it free into the air next to her and the container hovered effortlessly beside her within arm’s reach. Next off…Sorano pondered the issue quickly before her lips twitched slightly in recognition of an idea. While the trees were very much infected, they likely were not the source. If a pathogen were to come from somewhere, it would be from a source that the trees interacted with, meaning either the light, the air, or the water.

Yet as she turned back to tell the others about her plan to find a water source to sample from, the she would find that the squad had been assaulted by some very leafy monsters prowling around the sparse forest. Barely noticing the new person who had somehow stumbled into their group, the girl found the wind knocked out of her all of a sudden as Sol slammed her into the ground. “What in the – " Sorano’s words were breathy as she struggled to regain her breath, flinching instinctively as the great wooden hand slammed into the earth where she had stood before. “Thanks,” she mumbled breathlessly as shaking arms pushed the girl back up to her feet. Already, the vice president was dashing through the monsters, weaving in and out effortlessly with strokes of his sword.

Finding her footing once more, Sorano’s fingers flashed in front of her quickly, spelling out quick and precise letters to cast a spell. A stream of energy flashed through the air and wrapped itself around her body like some strange silvery snake. She extracted a segment of it to use as a sort of whip, lashing it through the air to wrap around the wooden clawed hand that lunged at her. This time, she was not taken by surprise. With nothing but the sheer power that her spell possessed, the energy rope snapped off a few fingers before dissipating. Instantly, another piece was pulled free from the snake of energy, and Sorano was back in the fight. This time, the energy rope struck the earthly monster in its woody face, cracking the surface and evoking a deep, earth-rumbling moan from its rotting maw.

It really was such a pain that even they, the researchers, had to fight monsters as well, huh.

Sorano’s next rope of energy dissipated as well, its energy used up, and she began to create another one, the silvery snake around her body beginning to shrink in size. Yet before she could lash out at the creature again, one of its legs crashed down towards her, forcing the letter mage to stumble backwards as fast as her feet could carry her. While it wouldn’t be too hard to create a shield, the girl was careful enough to watch her magic supplies. She’d rather not waste too much stored ethernanos if she could help it.

It was from this new position that Sorano first spotted the new person who had somehow stumbled into their midst. Calling out to him, she questioned, “Are you able to defend yourself?”

It was easy enough to see the halo of energy around him that signaled the power of a mage, but mages came in all shapes and sizes. If he didn’t have offensive capabilities, who knew how some random stranger would fare against these monsters? The mages gathered for this mission could all generally hold their own. They hadn’t exactly planned for someone else to appear out of nowhere.

    My Light...

There were two that had agreed to her idea of flight, but of course with the warning of being close and being careful. Both of which Aliannah could do. Shifting her clothes a bit the girl maneuvered them so that a slits that she had specially sewn into her clothes lined up with her wings before the said feathery objects burst from her back. Small loose feathers drifted to the ground and the moment that they touched it, the began to darken and shrivel up on the ground. The girl looked at the place where the feathers used to be and frowned internally and externally. This place was not just infected, it was not just plagued, it was poisoned to the core.

Looking up from the ground and to the trees, she looked at a reasonable opening in the branches before shooting up into the sky with one flush of her wings. She was told to take air samples and what other samples she could from where she was as well as draw a map from the birds eye view.

Stopping barely above tree level, the girl felt a brisk wind nipping at her exposed skin, she could feel something crawling along her, trying to dig into the flesh, but nothing happened as her body moved to heal itself immediately and thus then barricaded itself against whatever was in the air. The blonde, couldn't shake off that feeling as she reached into the bad that she had been given and pulled out several vials. Popping one open she made her arm cut through the air, capturing it in the bottle, before closing it tight with a cap. She looked at the bottle, it really didn't look and different from a plain eye, but the mage new that there was something in it based off the aura that the bottle now gave.

Making a face of distain at the bottle the girl put it back into her bag before reaching for another one and flying up to a set of clouds that drifted low. She shook her hand in preparation to the feeling of the moisture on her skin before taking another vial and swiping it through the mist and capping it quickly. True to her thoughts, her arm was coated in a condensation and the itching and crawling on her skin was back, however not for long. The blue eyed beauty cringed internally, but didn't make a move to wipe her arm against her clothes knowing that Oya would be climbing on them and that wouldn't be good in any situation.

Looking to the stoat on her shoulder Aliannah made sure that the rodent was okay. She was, but she was tense, as one should be in the situation, but she was okay. With a nod at the stoat the angel drifted down from the cloud with two more samples of the air. She had swiftly shoved them into the bag before reading in and snagging the pad of paper that was in there and the pencil that was originally for note taking. Looking down at the group below the angel began to sketch where they where and where the boarder was, the path that they had taken, larger landmarks like the giant willow that was to the right of them, the blockade of stones that indicated the barrier that they passed, and the other rocky landforms that they would soon be reaching.

But as one would have it, the calm collection process would not last long. The blonde spotted something just beyond the boarder approaching it, another human, mage? Who and what was it!? Why did they seem familiar? Panic was written on the face of the girl and she moved to dive down, only to stop as Ruvel moved to approach the other being, slipping swiftly away from the group to approach the other person, which Aliannah was slowly beginning to get a familiar feeling about. Ruvel was still in sight of the rest of the group as her blue orbs could see, but he was not the only one to move farther away. The Fairy Tail guild master was also moving, enough that it would probably be hard for Ruvel to clearly see her.

Concentrated so much on the people and the appearance of a new person, the angel missed the subtle movements of the trees.

It was too late when she finally noticed them, the trees moved to attack. Aliannah could only watch as the trees began to attack the group. Sol moved to protect Sorano, throwing them out of the line of fire allowing for them to have a moment to analyze the movement of the attackers. They were slow, a little off in aim, but they were powerful, this was not going to be an easy battle.

Taking her eyes from the battle for a moment she looked at the new comer, they were incredibly familiar and the angel flew lower to see if she could get a better look at them.

Diving by where he stood, citrine blue opticals took in their features. Elias. He was here. Why was he here!? Her eyes widened and she looked frantically at Oya on her shoulder in which the stoat looked back at her and shrugged, what could they do now, it had already happened. Now all the angel could do was hope that the other blond male could hold his own amongst a land of continuous danger. If not, the angel would fly down to where he was and lecture his ear off, even if he was older than she was. It didn't mater. Her lips were turned down in a frown and pursed together. The angel knew that she could't dwell on him, and focused on what she knew that she was supposed to do. Support. Eyes changing into a red glow she looked around the area, there was no other immediate danger, and thus the battle would be good in progress for now. If someone needed help. Then she would provide it.

Post by Yuvon on 31st March 2019, 7:12 am

Yuvon nodded to Ruvel’s comment after stating the situations for most plants and animals; some were infected by one, others by both, and some by other variants and branches of the same pathogen. Such a possibility was to be accounted for, since some bacteria and/or viruses were able to mutate, especially the latter. It was of upmost caution to seal the test tube extra thoroughly with a layer of - you guessed it - silk. This silk escaped Yuvon’s fingers and was a result of re-altering a copied portion of Song’s magic. Once the silk was solidified, it functioned as a sturdy seal to the tube with a materialistic strength level higher than any metal that he knew of… repeat, that he knew of. He would find something to rival her webs efficiently, someday, because why not? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to discover a new alloy that could change the view on a certain problem definition like this one?

Sol had encountered a strange phenomenon, and carefully inspecting another stone, Yuvon was testing his null hypothesis out. This place was crazily infected, and organic such as inorganic material felt no mercy. It was honestly amazing how a mutagen or pathogen was able to change the molecular components of something like stone - usually, mutagens only infected actual organic material… unless if the stone was an actual shell of a previously living organism. Yes, that could be a possibility; that whatever turned out to become this rock was alive a long time ago. It was a matter of rationality and using what resources that you had in your head. Stones wouldn’t be able to be infected, right? It made sense with the grass earlier, since grass and other vegetation was organic… and the soil and dirt before was left unharmed visually. His null hypothesis was that the bleeding effect was- actually, it wasn’t any coincidence anymore, since the rock that he faced bled too. He had conjured a pickaxe to make a crack and see what would leak out, which was just as black and gooey as what Mr. Terumi saw. “… I don’t believe that this is a mere stone, now,” he would speak up, “Gens, muta or patho, only affect organic beings… yes, it could be explained as a result of giving inorganic material life force through magic, but that appeals to me as no coincidence for any mutagen or pathogen. Unless if some creator is behind it… these stones might as well have been shells of previous organism.”

He heard the noise of a strange person further away. Ruvel went out to face said stranger, and that was when danger emerged in form of mobile lifeforms. A tree made mobile went after Sorano and Mr. Terumi, and after they made space from it, Yuvon’s stone flew right through the green creature like a bullet. There were other tree monsters around the group, and he expected them to be poor, dead-or-alive victims of the sickness. How a pathogen or mutagen equaled monsters was… hmh, food for thought.

He wouldn’t risk accidently vaporizing the pathogens and releasing them freely into the air akin to how smoke spread out in a fire. Therefore, he let the Philosopher’s Stone travel across the legs of all the tree monsters present, only sufficiently catching the attention of a couple. They were about to maul at him, in which one tree monster didn’t even flinch at the sight of itself mauling another tree monster in the space where Yuvon was a moment ago. He had, just in time, changed place with the abomination as he let its fellow contracted vegetation claw it down.

He would have to avoid its sap. The raven-haired sir made that clear earlier, and while they were slow, the trees backed a lot of physical strength behind each swing. The tree suddenly jumped in a jab, having felt something on its back. Yuvon was busy sticking his hand through a portal that led it to the back of the tree, from where he could pick a piece of its bark and seal it into a small pocket. Then, he clapped his hands together and summoned an arrow from between them. Hmh, I still need more experience to pull off stronger spells…, he thought as he threw the arrow into the sap of the tree monster like a dart. The arrow caused severe damage to spread out from the point of impact, and it resulted in the tree maneuvering a few steps back.

Post by Aspen on 4th April 2019, 4:15 pm

Letting her gaze wander, the masked girl's attention slowly turned from the terrain to the members of her team already starting the process that would involve the collection of various samples from the environment, some of them even commenting on or pondering over the implications of the scents and secretions the various samples gave of. Well, Aspen safely ignored that part. She was no scientist and wouldn't try to make sense of things she would barely understand. While by no means dull, the girl's forte laid with other, more physical work, smithing more specifically. Her expression stoic and her eyes tired as always she would turn to the blonde boy that had been designated the leader of her team when addressed, looking down on him with an unchanging expression. Was the brat able to read minds? No, that wouldn't be it ... her mind was protected by her magic. He couldn't have listened in on her thoughts from earlier. But what was it then? Had she somehow expressed displeasure with the current situation? Of course, she had. Every muscle in her body, every single one of her senses was instinctively screaming for her to turn away and simply leave this area, but she restrained herself. "If we don't succeed here ..." she would speak up to respond to the young CEO of the West Fiore Trading Company, her voice, apart from her accent, monotonous and quiet, but determined as always, "... who says that it's not going to be Fiore that is next? Or the Phoenix Mountains? I will stay, for I have a duty to my guild".

As soon as she had shared her intentions with the guild master of the Trading Company, however, there was a commotion behind the blonde boy, the trees of the woods around them ever so slightly shifting before, with massive cracks and heavy steps, what appeared like massive, living trees emerged from the treeline, some of them unleashing deep growls, others just eyeing the mages with cold, emotionless eyes. Instinctively, the soldier girl called Aspen pressed the stock of her weapon into her shoulder, raising the gun until her eye would be in line with the optics to get a better look. The large, mutated monstrosities were slow, admittedly, but the creatures seemed like they had surprised the group. They were already close enough that one of them would unleash a strike at the guild master of Fairy Tail who, with the help of the dark-haired man from before, avoided the attack, Aspen bitting her bottom lip before dashing back to get some distance between herself and the things. "Shit", the curse would leave her lips under her breath as she, too, had to avoid a strike from one of these beasts, a massive, trunk-like arm slamming into the ground where she had stood just moments earlier, the force of the impact leaving behind a visible ditch in the dirt. The things moved slow, but they packed a serious enough punch. It looked like her particular skill set was required, pulling a copy of the Iron Key from one of her pockets before speaking the magical command, "Narcissism".

In an instant, the girl was surrounded by a light grey aura, the amplified magical energy of her Iron Key, before speaking another magical command. "Punishment", with that, the girl took the copy of the Iron Key and threw it into the air, the item glowing with the same aura before stopping mid-air, countless more copies of the Key appearing out of nowhere, hovering still above the sluggish creature for just a second. In a flash of arcane energy, all keys would, at the same time, change shape into various knives, daggers and blades before bursting down at the Tree Demon and slamming into its form, stuck in its enormous wooden corpus. The attack had dealt way less damage than the girl had hoped, the tree giant simply continuing on its path of destruction towards her unhindered. Quickly, she glanced through the optics of her weapon once more, took a deep breath and without hesitation, unleashed a barrage of bullets at the creature. The impacts of the projectiles were accompanied by the audible cracking of wood, explosion after explosion lighting up the muzzle of the gun before finally, the weapon fell silent as its magazine was emptied completely. The creature had come to a slow halt, dropping onto one knee, the leg the girl had aimed for riddled with bullet holes, practically torn asunder by the storm of lead. The thing was almost done for, it only needed a little more. Aspen felt confident enough to let go of the submachine gun with her hands, the sling swivel keeping the weapon attached to her torso holding it in place as she spun them, a swirl of liquid metal created from seemingly nothing. It only took her a few moments before she condensed the liquid metal in one of her hands and flung the spell at her enemy, a grey magic circle flaring up before her as she did. The projectile of liquid steel slammed into the Tree Demon, embedding itself into its chest before one, two, three seconds later exploding in a massive burst of shrapnel, scattering the upper half of the monstrosity across the area around them. So much for that one, but ... there were still a lot more to go. Aspen had the feeling that this wouldn't be easy. Immersed in combat as she was, the fact that they had been joined by some newcomer had completely gone over her head. Instead, the soldier girl paid attention only to the massive tree monsters ... and, of course, how to best defeat the creatures.

    Elias Bishop

    Knight of the Aurora

A dark cloud of unease washed over Elias as he walked along the path. The kind one only felt in the face of capital “D” Dark magicks and in death. The thought occurred to Elias that maybe he wasn’t the first to discover such blatantly obvious ruins. The West Fiore Trading Company had owned Talogen for far longer than Elias had known it existed. Surely someone had found the ruins before, which meant they were supposed to be a secret. Elias had just stumbled upon that secret.

Elias all but jumped as a bit of moss shifted beneath his feet. He wrote it off as a patch of mud from some recent rainfall or another. Nothing to be worried about. The heavy air was only needlessly setting his nerves on fire. The ruins were just some kind of giant, expensive archaeological secret that pointed towards some kind of now-dead civilization on a continent humans had supposedly never touched. No doubt they’d been done in by a kind of ancient curse, the same Elias could taste in the air. The WFTC probably just wanted to profit off the place and keep their research secret before revealing it back in Ishgar. Elias took a few slow breaths and kept walking.

The shapes of people stood starkly through the trees. Each holding jars and vials of some sort. Definitely doing some kind of Archaeological research in these uneasy ruins. Everyone seemed to stop and stare at Elias the moment he stepped out of the treeline. A kid, barely old enough to be a teenager, reacted first. Babbling something about questions and such when the trees started to move. The kid grabbed Elias’ wrist and started dragging him towards the rest of his archaeological team. Elias chalked it up to typical teenager-y self importance and only replied with “You got it, kiddo.”

That said, Elias could feel the magic radiating from everyone present, not to mention they all seemed wildly different. This team Elias had stumbled upon wasn’t any ordinary archaeological team, it was a team of wizards. He even recognized two of them. That strange bug-masked guy from Era and… Aliannah? Elias was about to say something when one of the other team members, a girl with long black hair and blank eyes interrupted him, asking if he was fit to defend himself.

“Sure am,” Elias said, “I think I’m a decent fighter in my own right.”

Aliannah flew by a moment later. Her eyes widened with shock or terror. Elias couldn’t blame her, given that he really wasn’t supposed to be so far west of the city, or even outside WFTC guild hall at all. He resisted the urge to wink before she shot back into the sky.

There was the problem with the demon-trees next. Those group members who hadn’t bothered talking to Elias had already sprung into action, calling out weaknesses and warnings. Something about the tree sap being infective? Elias frowned, struggling to put two-and-two together. The curse, he decided, must have been a disease of some kind. He quietly thanked the gods he hadn’t touched anything after entering the ruins.

That didn’t mean Elias shouldn’t act. The attacks from the others had bought him the precious few moments he needed to prepare for battle. A pale rainbow of light seemingly cloaked itself around Elias’ body, before quickly solidifying into a dully gleaming suit of armor. The monster had started to get up from the initial onslaught. None of the other fighters seemed any more powerful than him, so he decided to toss out two more spells.

Elias placed one hand on the ground and whispered the words of frost. The ground, everywhere in a sixty-meter radius flash froze in a plane of glistening ice. None of the archaeologists would suffer from it, but the tree-demon certainly would have difficulty getting back up. Elias next cupped his hand and a threw a basketball-sized sphere of energy towards the monster, nailing it square in what Elias assumed was its face.

    Educational Expedition

Ruvel shook his head at what the elder male had said, he wanted to argue the fact but this wasn't the time or place for such petty matters to be discussed. The area was an unknown danger to everyone that had decided to enter the uncharted location, that is where his focus should be remaining. "As you say Mr. Terumi." his voice calm as it normally was, though the undertone held something different within it, it was very slight to the point of if you hadn't known the youth well enough you'd have missed it. All eh could do was nod at what the other said, he could understand why the frustration was there, but these things were far to dangerous to rush the research for as it could prove fatal to everyone in the continent. Over the last few months he had placed a few safety features and fail safes in place in case this got out of hand, going so far to have the entire continent blown up if needed, he knew it was an extreme measure but he wouldn't allow these to spread any further. It was sure there was a lot of people that called the continent home but there where far more outside of it so as many would be saved that could and those who couldn't would perish so that it didn't escalate. That was a very last call and one that weighed heavily on his mind since he gave the orders, this was something that he hadn't even told his aces as he couldn't imagine giving the order to blow up their home or their reactions to him putting in such a measure.

Ruvel came out of his own mind the last thing he needed was to worry the others with his own burdens, especially right now "These are not naturally occurring so don't beat yourself up about it Mr. Terumi." He had one of his summons submit a report when he was last in the village near here but Cirven wasn't here any longer and so the burden of leadership had fallen on him for his guild, the company and the continent of itself. He would have thought that Cirven would have shared his findings with the others or appropriate rank but this hadn't seemed the case and now they were in a predicament of walking into something that no one really understood. It was true he had brought some samples back from the village, however, he had been to sick to give the information to Sol more so because he had to help another that had been moved when they shouldn't have been due to their own injuries, making the already sick him sicker. In honesty the blonde haired teen didn't know if these pathogens would ever be wiped out in their lifetimes or even if a plausible vaccine would even possible but knew they had to try for the safety of everyone. "Hopefully this expedition will help you and the others in your research." he knew that every precaution had been taken right down to a secure lab in a black site to handle this research alone, it was purely need to know and a lot of people didn't.

Ruvel watched as the elder albino male put a mask on wondering why he would do something so idiotic, he could understand if they were outside the area and he had done it but to do it inside was beyond foolish. Then again given that they didn't exactly know how these pathogens worked their was no real way to know if such precautions would have even worked. It seemed to be only a few moments before the mask applied was removed, he could only come to the conclusion that Sol had come to the same thought that he had and so decided to bare with whatever may come. He watched with interest as the other had decided to take a sample of a rock, what happened however no one would have expected. "D-did that rock just bleed?" he couldn't help stutter in his disbelief but covered his nose as the pungent smell of decay reached his sense of smell, he swore his heightened senses were starting to get on his nerves. "What is that vile smell?" he said looking at the discoloured viscus gloop that came from the stone thinking that could be the only logical explanation as it hadn't been there before the sample taken.

It was then he got his answer even the rocks bled, this place seemed like it was going to test their sanity even if the pathogens didn't affect them. "Perhaps we'll find a facility and or some research notes along the way to help?" In honesty that would make this so much easier but he doubted they would get that lucky in all honesty, they would only really be here for a eight days at most given that was all the supplies he himself had brought for the group in case they hadn't, it meant they could do four days of travelling before turning back and not having to worry on how they'd eat and drink inside this place. He just hoped that there would be no complications along the way "Oh, I should have mentioned.. I have packed enough food and drink for four meals per day for each person for the next eight days." he said finally realising he should tell them something that important "Some of the food will be warm others cold, the same for drinks." he explained knowing that his supplies and such were with the twin princes so he didn't have to worry. "I didn't know how long we would be in here so thought to be over prepared than under prepared." he said calmly knowing that a few people may have forgotten especially within his own guild thanks to the company covering such things normally.

He was glad to see that Sol had refused to leave him, but then this also came with his job description he guessed. It seemed to be something that his keepers all had in common, they were stubborn and lacked common sense. Then again he guessed he wasn't exactly any better really even at that stage in his career but then he believed he had something to prove given his history. Thanks to grabbing the wayward tourist as he believed at that point he didn't see what was going on, though blinked to see Sol using his body to shield the other guild master of the team "Did I miss something?" he asked in complete confusion not realising that one of the trees had aimed for Sorano and almost hit her. Hearing what the elder male said he nodded understanding, speed was never his issue so this could work in his benefit.

He had guessed when he had taken his short leave to collect his sample from a nearby tree and Sol had decided to take his sample from the rock that others would have done the same. Well bar Aliannah who had taken to the sky to sketch the area within eye shot, his eyes went up to make sure she was within range of at least his spells if it got that bad. He had no idea if there were things in the sky but given the mutations that could possible happen due to these pathogens, as much as he trusted the others on his team to an extent his members were his responsibility and he would put their well being first before any others, that included his own. He was normally hyper aware of his surroundings due to his upbringing but this put that onto a whole new level, a level he hoped he would never have to reach. Still he had missed the enemies when he went to get his sample, he could only surmise that they had been asleep until he cut into a nearby tree and had awoken. Either that or their unexpected guests loud voice had awoken them, it didn't really matter which caused it they now had a problem they didn't expect to have. For now he decided to see how the others would attack before using his own as many of his spells were situational he had found, he had no issue with this as it meant he normally had a spell to fit any situation but still he liked to be safer than sorry before casting.

He watched as Sorano got to her feet and started to use her script magic, he had to admit he was in awe watching his fellow god of Ishgar at work. Her magic was beyond precise and beautiful in what it could do, this however wasn't the time to be distracted by such things, he had made a mental note to complement her on her style after this problem had been dealt with. Hearing her question to the fool that seemed to stumble into this place he looked to her "He best be able to or this will make a difficult situation that much harder. We can escort him back out when we dispatch the enemy at hand." that was something he was not happy about as it put them behind but it wasn't exactly like they could put a civilian in danger by taking them along in a place like this. The group knew what they had agreed to when signing up for this task, the new male that seemed to have turned up out of nowhere had no such information; even if he was a mage he couldn't in good conscious allow him to go with them as he had no idea what was going on or the danger he really was in.

He had taken note of the the quiet blonde hair girls facial expression, he knew that she must have felt or seen something that was wrong but before he could question her she had already taken to the air. It made little difference as he could ask what was wrong when they landed once more. Thanks to the flyby made by the angelic girl the youth could tell that she seemed to have some connection to the one who had appeared out of nowhere "Someone you know?" she called up to the woman his voice showing that he was less than impressed given the current situation, he let out a frustrated sigh and would have to deal with this mess when the threat had been eliminated. This was already starting to give him a headache he didn't need, in honesty he was missing his elder brother because it meant he wouldn't have to deal with it. 'Cirven, where are you? I need help...' he thought to himself his eyes saddening for a moment, this was enough time for the drop on him his hand quickly going to his necklace and twinkling would see around his body but still the hit of the enemy got him knocking him back further back into a rock making him wince a trickle of glowing liquid coming from the corner of his lip "Well that was a idiotic mistake..." he chuckled to himself holding his ribs as he slowly stood up as even if he didn't take the damage thanks to the shield it still hurt him.

He knew he would get his ass kicked if several of those he looked up to seen him make such a mistake, he steadied himself he wasn't that fragile person he once was, how could he have expected those to have faith in him if he let something like that defeat him. "Okay, game over... I'm not playing anymore." his voice was cold he was wanting them dealt with, he knew by the strength of the tree demon that hit him that they wouldn't be pushovers and that suited him fine, he'd use their own strength and his speed against them. Starting to run towards the thing that hit him he heard what the masked Silver Wolf mage had said "Remember even some rocks are classed as organic..." he said running past him as if it was just a passing conversation, his body was hurting but he pushed it aside he could heal if needed but he would be fine for now. "I have an idea to use their strength to our advantage, just don't shoot me..." he called back to the others knowing some spells could still hurt allies and he really didn't want to be caught within the friendly fire of an ally's spell as they tried to take down an enemy.

He did come to a quick stop as he heard the other Silver Wolf mages concern "Because I have..." he paused for a moment it wasn't exactly easy for him to admit given the implications that came with it still to him it was needed just in case "Because I have put several contingencies into place if the worst situation were to happen, so I hope you have made your peace and have your affairs in order miss." he said calmly even without saying it it was clear what he was implying about at least one of his fail safes, it was also clear just how heavy such a burden was on him to have made. He would sacrifice everything he and his brother built so the rest of Earthland would be safe, this was his duty as he seen it but there were several things that would be done before such a thing would happen. Regardless the first one would have been a complete quarantine of the continent, this personally didn't bother him as Tolgalen was self sufficient but it did make it a target and he would rather that not happen there were millions of people that called the land within their border home. He couldn't help but smile weakly to the silver haired woman as she showed pride in just duty itself but the duty to her guild. It reminded him back to the beach when he first met the elder male Johann, he remembered just how awkward that day was for him but the two has slowly become closer. Thing is he had no idea why he was becoming so sentimental all of a sudden, it wasn't like him at all and the best reason he could come up with was because of just how dangerous this place was. He was about to start running again when the new arrival decided to call him 'kiddo', he was already not wanting to be here without someone adding that kind of insult to him.

He wanted to say something but as he opened his mouth it closed as Aspen opened fire on one of the enemies that they still had to deal with, it seemed that within the few attacks the silver haired woman had found a few of the weak points "If anyone has fire spells that be great." he commented waiting until Aspen's assault had come to an end before running forward, his speed getting faster with each stride. Getting to the roots of the trees he ran up the bark with little effort eventually jumping from branch to branch after a few seconds crouch, the smell that these trees were giving off twisted his stomach something awful but he had to push past it as he ran and jamp from one tree to the other allowing his glamour to drop and himself to glow, normally he wouldn't allow this to happen however he could play it off as a spell or ability from his slayer magic if he needed to as it wasn't exactly a lie but it wasn't exactly a full truth either. Then again knowing him he would likely switch the conversation, due to the fact that he was now glowing it had drawn the attention of one of the other trees which he hoped would happen. He anticipated what was going to happen next, waiting until the very last moment before jumping from where he was crouched back to the tree that hit the one he was formerly on and watched as one tree hit the other only making the first tree turn and hit back the first. As this happened he put his glamour up once more and jamp from the trees allowing them to beat on each other until they had pretty much beaten each other to splinters. Landing on the ground once more in a crouched position he flicked his left hand a seal of golden light appearing below each enemy within twenty meters of the young blonde headed CEO, from the seals light tendrils came out wrapping themselves around the enemy cocooning them for now "I can't hold them for long so take out as many as possible." he yelled out to the others already feeling them struggling against the hold he had on them.

Post by Sol on 15th April 2019, 12:37 pm

Even though Ruvel told him that these pathogens are not naturally  occurring and that he shouldn’t beat himself up Sol still was annoyed at how hard these two were to crack and figure out, it just didn’t make sense to him . as his leader told him that he hoped this expedition would help out his and the others research and that made the albino nod. “I am sure it will Rui the more samples I have the better I can understand this and how they function” he said with a small smile as they move onwards and met up with the others.  As he showed his find and yuvon mentioned that it might not be a mere stone any more and that it perhaps could be   the shells of something that once lived and Sol shrugged. “ they could be but the texture and shape of the stone makes me think otherwise. We need to consider that these are magical pathogens and that means  natural assumptions that can be made about normal sicknesses and such need to be reexamined. This whole area is unnatural and that means  that we need to consider things that are outside the realm of possibility” he explained when Ruvel was startled by the rock and Sol felt the same way as the young CEO when it came to the smell of the things.

The Deathless put the rock into the specimen jar as quick as he could before his stomach tried to empty its contents and he put it away for safe keeping.”I don’t know what that smell was but it was absolutely putrid” he admitted as he  felt his stomach finally settle down. Suddenly seeing Ruvel get struck and bounce off a rock suddenly threw the Deathless into a panic.”Rui are you ok!?” he asked worried as he rushed over to him and as he saw the young CEO bleed light it made the void dweller sweat on the inside from the repercussions. ‘Shit he got hurt and I wasent there to stop it Demis going to Fucking Kill me oh god what do I do I let my self get blinded’ he admitted to himself internally knowing that he was in deep trouble and if he was not careful he would most likely be dying by the hand of a very angry reaper.  The words and training Demi had told him and put him on edge since he knew if Ruvel was injuried at all that Demi  would have him at the edge of her scythe and be questioning why he slipped up when he promised to keep the CEO safe.  When he heard what Ruvel had said to Aspen instant made the Slayer become curious and on edge and he decided to voice his thoughts.”Rui what do you mean by  contingencies?” he asked as he got a pit in the middle of his stomach from the sounds of what he heard. He had never heard of anything being put into effect and it honestly had him very worried since while he was protective about Tolgalen he was also worried about what the young CEO could have done as far as contingency plans.

As the tree demons kept attacking he suddenly heard the new person call Ruvel Kiddo and Sol  managed to back away enough  to get to him before he spoke to him. “That Kid your speaking to is the CEO of the West Fiore Trading company and the leader of this expedition so I suggest you think twice before you say that again” he said sternly to Elias  before he  saw some of the new creatures that Ruvel had bound and quickly formed poison around himself before it grew into the shape of his Poison Gods Avatar. The black robed figure took all  four of its hands and knocked two of the tree demons away with powerful punches before it grabbed  two of the flatland hunters with its other two arms and started to crush them before tossing them away from the group.”These things are annoying” he mumbled before he suddenly saw one  struggling against the binds and the Void Dweller made his avatar grab it with two of its arms and then crushed it  with a powerful Smack.  As a tree demon swatted at Sol and the avatar  the construct  quickly caught the swipe and then twisted its arms down so the monster was suddenly jerked down and the construct smashed into it with all four of its arms causing the beast to still. While was protected by his construct Sol knew he had to be careful.

One false move from his avatar and he could hit one of his team mates and poison them as well. thankfully he had a strong amount of control over his avatar and as long as he focused he didn’t have to worry about his team that much. Staring out it seemed that Aspen was instantly focused on killing more of the beasts and Aliannah was hovering above the group ready to provide aid if it was needed. So far they were working as a cohesive unit and other then Elias random appearance  so far things were under control and being dealt with in a efficient manner. Sol  found himself wishing he had worked on his magic more and knew he needed to train it to become even stronger.’god this is not good I let myself get blinded and Rui got hurt because of it, im not going to hear the end of this at all’  he thought to himself as he stayed close to Ruvel and made sure his avatar was always ready to block a strike for him while they dealt with the hostile wildlife, it was truly stunning to see that  the life here had become so warped and twisted by whatever experements and plagues were made here. The slayer hoped that his  research and the materials they would gain today would give him greater insight and perhaps a breakthrough in trying to prevent or even cure these issues. It was a long shot but Sol knew that  he had some samples but with even more he could  find out more information  perhaps see patterns and that might lead to some headway with all the things they had now found and even the dead bodies of these twisted creatures could lead to some rare finds and ideas to give them a bigger picture to see.

    Spell and Enemy count:

    Name: Venom Gods Avatar
    Rank: B
    Type: Offensive/Defensive
    Duration:4 posts
    Cooldown: 5 posts
Description: Sol will unleash a massive amount of poison and  it will form into a  large being of poison with the slayer in the middle of this being. After a moment the being will solidify and will defend Sol while being able to attack other people with its four arms. The avatar can  hit enemys for 75% B rank damage and it can protect Sol from either 1 B rank, 2 C rank or 4 D rank spells. The Avatars size is 50 meters tall

    Strengths:
    - this spell allows Sol to both attack and defend at the same time

    - because of its huge size the  range that it has is impressive as well

    - every hit the enemy takes increases the poison stack effect

    Weaknesses:
    - while the construct is big it also makes for a big target for spells.

    - Sol cannot protect anyone other then himself with this

    - While Sol can move with this spell it is only at walking pace making him rather slow.

-while the avatar protects Sol from physical damage it does not prevent him from being harmed by such things as demonslayer poison and  attacks from underground.

1 Tree Demon  killed and 3 flatland hunters killed leaving 3xtree demons left and 4x flatland hunters remaining

    WHEN WORDS COLLIDE

STICKS AND STONES CAN'T BEGIN TO COMPARE
Much to Sorano’s relief, the stranger responded positively, informing her of his offensive capabilities in a surprisingly casual tone. So he was used to this kind of thing – that was good. Though the disrespect he appeared to show to Ruvel was a bit uncomfortable, naturally. Ah well, she’d leave it to the others to take care of him. She could see Aliannah’s eyes widening in surprise at the sight of him, as well as the other WFTC members ready to defend the guild master’s status. He was in as good hands as he could be. Meanwhile, the other members seemed to be holding their own as well. Yuvon, focused on doing his task as well as defending himself, easily avoided the tree demon’s grasp while deftly capturing samples from the bark.

On the other hand, the short woman with silver hair was evidently skilled with her magic, which seemed to be based on metal weapons. Knives and projectiles were flung at the demons, her eyes focused carefully on her opponent with an intensity that was hard to find elsewhere. Ruvel had picked strong mages for this trip. Even the weird new person seemed to be plenty capable as well, forming a plane of glittering frost that didn’t seem to hamper Sorano’s progress. But the demons were more badly affected, stumbling around and moving at a more tolerable pace than before. Excellent. To her surprise, Sorano would turn to see Ruvel being slammed back into a rock. Before she could offer help though, the blond recovered with ease, running forward to attack the creature with help from Sol.

Nothing to help with there. It was better to focus on her own effort over here. The tree demon she had weakened was returning to her, and the girl sighed, deciding to end the battle as soon as possible. Slamming fiery letters up toward the woody creature, she watched with satisfaction as the demon blew up in a ball of flame, a creaking groan emanating from the burning mass before the monster finally disintegrated to the ground. Luckily, the flames seemed to engulf the toxic looking liquid that dripped from its body. Hopefully that would reduce the threat the corpse could cause… Snapping her fingers briefly, she disabled the flames and edged cautiously over to the corpse. Manipulating the energy around the ashes, she gathered a small pile of the material to store within a container that floated up to accompany the one already there.

Sorano stood up and brushed herself off before looking for anything else she could do. It seemed that the WFTC leader had pinned down several of the beasts with a golden binding of sorts, allowing other mages to attack the monsters with ease. Instantly, the girl’s hands flashed through the air to spell out golden letters that opened a rift above her head in the sky. A glowing halo seemed to glow around her as the clouds opened briefly above her to release rays of holy light that slammed accurately into the demons. The holy energy that had been gifted to her by angels themselves should be the perfect weapon to still their squirming. Yet it would only weaken the creatures, causing them to screech in pain as the pure rays burned into their flesh, with bits of them to flake up into the air and disintegrate. Defeat them it did not.

Now that they had been greatly weakened, it would be easier to take them out. A twirl of her fingers brought into existence an ornate, old-fashioned pen. Sorano caught the tip with her tongue and sucked briefly on the nib before hurling the pen at one of the flatland hunters like a dart. It pierced into the creature’s skin and embedded itself in its vitals, causing it to slump in stillness. The writing utensil, while seemingly small and insignificant, did deal copious amounts of magical damage and had easily killed the creature.

Feeling pressure on the ground behind her, the letter mage would barely dodge out of the way as another hunter bore down from behind. Brushing her cheek, she frowned as she felt the scratch that had been formed from the bare contact. Blood dripped slowly from the wound, hot and painful, before she rolled out of the way again. Getting up on one knee, the girl formed a shield to protect against the next blow. It seemed that this would be her next opponent.

    My Light...

Her blonde hair whipped around her waist, as she continued to observe from the sky. With the amount of people that were below her and the fact that she knew that several were stronger than her and one, she coughed mentally, was stubborn and dedicated to a battle once involved.

She hadn't seen the almost wink, but she had been able to spot the recognition in the eyes of her usual partner. She cursed at herself mentally, she was going to be in so much trouble. Biting at her bottom lip the girl sealed her emotions, this was not a time to think about this, she would think about this once the trouble calmed down. She had all but gotten past her worry before Ruvel called up to her... She really was in deep shit. Her mind whirled and she quickly shook her head to clear it. This was not the time for this.

Wind whipped at her ears and at her cheeks as she once again resided a little above the trees. Things were going... well... swimmingly below her and despite wanting to go down there, she knew it would probably be best that she not do that as there were several people below her, too many in one area for her to feel comfortable. Biting the inside of her cheek, she pulled her map back out and flipped it over, writing on the back side what they had run into. Sure it wasn't their job to encounter and write things down, but it was best to do so, just in case they ran into them again. She could feel the stoat looking over her shoulder, drawing in everything that she wrote, memorizing it, just incase the paper was lost.

Her pen flew across the page, writing down the attacks and the seemed weaknesses of the monsters. She scribbled down their appearances, what they could have been before the infection, what the infection might have done to them, and anything else she would deem important.

She looked up again, once she had finished writing and focused her energy into trying to find other life forms. Eyes turning a red, shock flooded her body, the entire forest emanated one singular life, she wouldn't be able to detect attacks or enemies this way. A groan slipped from her lips and she released her control on her magic before she looked again but with her normal eyes. There seemed to be no immediate danger in the sky. She would be able to land and possibly discuss what the others had just fought. She marked their spot on the map, checking the main noticeable features that she had copied from the forest onto her paper, before flying down to the ground.

Breaching the trees again, her skin itched, as if something was trying to get into her body. A shiver ran down her spine and the girl took effort not to get too many scratches nor damage herself or the trees. The landing was soft, soundless, and the moment that her feet touched the ground she made sure that she was in eyesight of the group, but not near the battle, she would save her energy, as dumb as that sounded. Oya, peaked her head around Aliannah's shoulder, looking through the forest, trying to get an idea of what was around them and though the stoat was usually in pristine condition with her observations and insightful information it seemed the the rodent couldn't pick up anything the girl could.

She was silent as she moved, aiming not to scare or inform the beasts of her presence; she moved around the fight, to a corner where one of the monsters lay possibly dead, one could not tell. She looked at it and grimaced, the flatland hunter was really nothing more than the land around them. There was nothing in it that screamed organs, there seemed to be no brain or nervous system. What made it move? The angel his her her had gently, magic and the plague, she was so stupid. There was literally nothing that magic couldn't do, and if magic was combined with a parasite it was bound to make a form to fit it. With a low hiss and a grit of her teeth, the girl looked around, the parasite really couldn't get too far.

It wasn't her that spotted it either. the copper coloured stoat on her shoulder dug her claws into her shirt and her skin, indicating that Oya had found something. Aliannah swiftly looked where the stoat was looking and spotted something akin to a more rotten piece of wood. It seemed decaying, magical, but like something had attacked it and attached to it. The blonde made her way over to the wood, taking out a plastic bag she flipped it inside out and grabbed the smaller piece of wood, no bigger than her hand, before flipping the bag right side out and sealing it shut. She stuffed it back into her bag along with her other samples before making her way back over to where the rest of the group was.

There was one of each monster left and the girl figured that she better stay out of this battle, there were somethings that you don't take from people, and that was their victories. However, now that she was on the ground she was more aware of the situation that they were in and the dangers that they would have to face. The dangers that she was going to face now that she had been associated Elias. She bit her lip and actually began to think of how to slightly heal those who had been injured as she didn't want the pathogens to get into the wounds. She would wait until the battle was over before she stepped back into the light, she could only hope that nothing else would appear in the moments that the battle had finished, it wasn't that she didn't want to get involved and use her magic, it was there were things that the group needed to talk about. Soon.

Note: I did absolutely nothing helpful to the fight I just landed on the ground, I'm also out of fight range-ish. Still 2 Tree Demon left.
