Tsak Ordahic Background Information

An ancient scroll has been found about an epidemic in the north-west of Tolgalen, it mentions an unimaginable discovery. No-one seen it coming as it mentions a dark guild thought to be wiped out, tried to do what every dictating dark guild before them had tried. That was to become the sole leader of the Earthland's 'new world order', however the other guilds wouldn't roll over and give the dark gm what they wanted so easily and so mounted a defence against what was to come. As in previous wars the general public of earthland where only given pieces of what was going on and never knew the whole story and this was to prevent panic. Then the unthinkable happened, they released two pathogens that done horrible, horrible things to anyone whom became infected. It had been the one thing that everyone had feared, but no-one ever thought they would ever have be stupid enough to have done.

Untold time has now passed since the pathogens were released, even to this day no one knows why they released and why on Tolgalen of all places. No one remembers those times, nor that those who are born within the nation of Tolgalen are survivors of such a dark act, and that no one is safe on the continent. As stated in the scroll there are two pathogens that are documented. 'The Siren's Whisper' which is believed to be airborne and 'Submerged Ripple' which is believed to be in the water. It says at first people thought nothing of it, they believed it was a new type of cold and and increase in those with mental illness so no-one took much notice... How wrong they where, and it was far to late... to do anything when they finally figured out something was wrong...

Those who had contracted 'The Siren's Whisper', soon banded together with people who they said 'thought the same as them', but this was the worse thing they could do as the pathogens spread... murder and mayhem soon followed within small conclaves of these 'like minded people'. Those unfortunate enough to have contracted 'Submerged Ripple' where in for a year of excruciating pain eventually ending in an agonizing death, never to be buried for fear of contracting the same illness. It was said some had even been unlucky enough to contract both pathogens, though nothing was documented on such people.

The scroll says that because of this, Tolgalen was abandoned long ago by those who where afraid of their lives and the entire continent quarantined thus wiped off the maps as if it never even existed. Some stayed it was their home and they would rather risk the danger than leave as they had nowhere else to go. Technology and magic had become increasingly wonky in the years followed the release of these pathogens. Some constructs are reported to have grown in intelligence in some way, some of them even claimed to have a souls. There are those who are rusted, falling a part and despise their former  'masters' for as they claim 'abandoning them'.
