Markus EldridgeWord Count: 671
The chaos mage watched with an apathetic gaze as the Fallen God Slayer was assaulted by his magic. He could sense the internal struggle, and feel his magic threatening to take the life of the other mage. Suddenly however, he watched as slowly the other man realized what must be done. All at once he watched his magic die down, folding in on itself and dimming until all at once it was consumed by the other mage.
Markus raised an eyebrow as the force driven mage looks at him, the man was fully enveloped in the power. It was impressive looking at a power so much like Markus’ own force, yet so distinctly different. He could feel the power radiating from the mage and watched as he man struggled to move. Suddenly however, within the blink of an eyes Markus watched as the man vanished from view, moving as such a speed he was suddenly next to the large perpetrator of this attack. Immediately the chaos mage raised his hand and summoned a barrier around the four mages, front of the guild hall, and the remaining army. Solid black in color it would hide all within from prying eyes. Markus knew well how hard it was to control what was to follow. He would stand passively, unmoving, as the sequence of events continued.
He gave a deep sigh the destruction would be expensive to replace, but better than lives. However, what was to follow needed to be kept from the citizens of Magnolia. No one needed to see a Fairy Tail mage act as such, and even more so the chaos mage knew Mythal would have questions. Markus watched as the Fallen God slayer slowly returned to normal, shadows leaving his body in a very physical and noticeable way. Markus however kept the barrier up… he probably should have done that much sooner.
Looking about the chaotic nature of his gaze would die down, the light in his eyes would fade, and the tightness of his muscles would loosen. His wings vanished but the shredded remains of his shadow robes remained loosely on his body. The blood on his chest and arms would slowly fade as his body healed itself. Looking about he noticed a few cuts and scrapes on Serilda, and quite a bit of damage to the Fallen God Slayer. Waving his hand through the air a pulse of chaotic energy would surge forward overcoming all allies within.
Unlike his normal magic, this took much more concentration but as the magic swept over the group his allies would find their wounds closing, and their stamina restored as his magic healed their bodies. Markus himself was back to his full essence, his wounds having closes completely between his last use of magic and his bodies natural inclination to heal itself. For a brief second Markus looked towards Nessa, but he said nothing unsure how to address what she would have seen. In the end, he looked away without saying a thing.
Only then did the chaos mage walk forward and place his hand upon the shoulder of the Fallen God slayer. When he spoke all traces of Chaos, or the other female voice would have vanished. “That my friend was Slayer Force. Remember what it felt like… the first time is always the worse.” Markus’ hand would glow slightly and when he removed it a slight hand shaped impression would be left. Mythal would feel a cold chill, but the rest of his wounds would heal as Markus reverted the damage, he caused the man with his attack.
Turning to the other mages Markus addressed the two females. “Apologies. Are you both okay?” He asked passively, his voice without emotion but his exhaustion obvious. Glancing at Serilda and Mythal, as the only two still undressed, he gestured towards the barrier. “That will not last long, if you want to regain some modesty? Then we can talk…” Markus himself was dressed only in a now ragged black cloak. To be honest he did not care, but the guild did have a reputation to uphold.
