Public LIGHT WHITE LEAVES ♦ open to all

Post by Guest 1st September 2018, 7:02 pm

Izayuki Hyoujin ♦ Black Rose ♦ H Rank

Sickened eyes fluttered open as bright light shone through the radioactive atmosphere of the region. The bakedanuki had been left for dead, an unidentifiable mess by the time the Nightshade Hell Deity had left her alone. Broken, useless arms, torn flesh, and a ripped spine and missing tail were all the yokai had to account for after the bloody encounter. Typically the ayakashi would have regenerated quite quickly, but the poison of the deity’s magic coursing through her body allowed for no such thing.

Her mind did not sleep until a full twenty four hour period after the event. She was left to be painfully awake and tired with the agony still running through her nerves and the pain of the spiking squirms from what was within. Only later did the poison allow her mind to go unconscious, a much wanted mercy for the bakedanuki. During her stiff and uncomfortable slumber, her body began to fully deteriorate as her abilities permitted, the venom slowly being fought against as it left her system. Finally, the mass of dark matter energy that made up the strange ayakashi’s body ripped apart what was left of her physical appearance.

More hours passed as the mass began to squeeze out the rest of the venom, either absorbing it or dropping it to the irradiated ground. There was something that the abomination was unable to remove from itself, however. Three wriggling demons remained caught up in the matter, unable, and unwilling, to leave their new nest. After the passing of a couple days, the dark energy would begin to reconstruct itself as a person. The instinctual memory did its best to recreate what it recalled of its old appearance, but something was off. There were factors and aspects that the shadow matter was unable to reproduce from being stained by the three.

Eyes that were colored with crimson overlaying swirling shades of yellow stared up at the nuclear sky, beginning to take in the truth about where she was and what had happened. The young bakedanuki began to sit up, scanning her surroundings and the new body she had regenerated. Wine colored orbs stared in mild shock at the strange colors on her new tail. The Nightshade Hell Deity had made off with her lovely silver tail and her body had regenerated one that was alabaster in color with an obsidian tip. In the previous instances where she had been forced to reconstruct her yokai body, her appearance had always remained consistent-- ginger hair with her glacier-stained tanuki features. This time, her hair was pale white and matched her fur color for once. Beyond that, the rest of her figure appeared to be the same as before.

Slightly disturbed but unwilling to linger on the fringes of Morgate Town any longer, Izayuki forced herself to stand up. Using tanuki illusions, she created a temporary new shirt for herself to replace the torn one and made it so that her black blood stained capri pants appeared only mildly worn once again. Creating a shiny green leaf in between her thumb and index finger, the bakedanuki focused on a specific place to move to. Normally, she would have simply taken an avian shape and flown to a new place. On this occasion, the guild master had chosen to use a trump card, refusing to stay any longer for fear that the deity may be back.

With a flash of pale green light, the bakedanuki was transported to an ever so familiar forest. “Sakuramori,” she breathed, feeling a sense of calmness and relief at the beauty of the Black Rose territory. She had chosen a settlement close to, but not directly inside, the forest. The beautiful cherry blossom trees still littered their glory all over the village due to hanging on the fringe. The place was perfect for tourists and a generally lovely place to live. Holding onto her leaf, Izayuki forged a few illusions once more-- specifically a version of herself. She spoke through the feigned figure to request room in a village inn due to not wanting to be seen in person. The illusion looked far better and healthier, retaining her old appearance. Upon being granted access, the bakedanuki slipped into the room and gladly cleaned herself up. She brought out a few spare clothes from her unique spatial storage and briskly put them on-- another pair of loose pants and a loose-fitting and comfortable shirt.

She calmed herself down with the serene village and the comfort in the inn, choosing to take a walk through the dirt and stone paths of the traditional Midian village. However, the shock from before began to leave her, the adrenaline dying down as she strolled through the tranquility. As it did, the harsh realization and memories started to trace their way back to Izayuki, one by one. Flinching at the traumatic recollection, the bakedanuki felt a strange pain once again. Her first assumption was the logical explanation of it being a phantom pain due to the event having been so recent. As it continued churning under her skin in her abdomen, the bakedanuki’s pale crimson eyes widened in horror. Those… things... were not gone?

The bakedanuki found herself hacking and coughing suddenly. Upon removing her hand from covering her mouth, the guild master recognized drops of her unique black blood, residue from the dark matter that made up her body. Falling to her knees as more pain penetrated her body from within, one of the three hell demons awakening for a few moments from its hibernation, the alabaster-haired tanuki found herself coughing more of the sour dark liquid. She was blessed to find herself on a mostly non-populated road, with the few that did pass keeping their distance for natural fear of sickness. Eventually her coughing fit came to an end, leaving the tanuki girl fairly winded and sore. The squirming demons within finally were at rest once more, but the realization that her dark matter body had not disposed of them frightened her more than anything. How could she face her guildmates in this pathetic state unless she lied to their faces and puppeteered illusions? Salty and bitter tears began forming at the yokai’s eyes as her mind toyed with the despairing thoughts. Trailing back to the inn, the ayakashi sat on the large flight of steps that led to the inn. She wanted to stay outside for now, hopeful that nobody would recognize her in her new appearance. The only ones that could so easily sense her were ones who could see her soul, knew her scent or the basic frame of her appearance, or would sense her unholy icy magic.

Aiyana really did not know why she was off in this tiny settlement that was nearby Sakuramori. There were no jobs for her to do out here, no one cared about who she was, and there was not really anything interesting to do. The celestial spirit was busy trying to do nothing more than she was something, and because of that had gone off the beaten path to the middle of nowhere. Regretting her decisions and being too stubborn to do something else she had decided to troll the inn and see if anyone was there that she could bother for a drink.

Upon arriving at the area of the inn she would see a cute little woman with a tail and hair color that were a beautiful white. Upon getting closer she would notice that she was upset, or at least attempting not to cry but starting to fail, and looked more worse for wear than Aiyana did after she had lost her guild and girlfriend. Walking towards this female, whom she thought was a stranger, the nine-tailed fox would sense a familiar presence that she would quickly recognize to be Izayuki. The only problem was that the girl was nowhere in sight, the dawning realization slowly coming to her that the sad girl was the female she had been trying to romance recently. Once the facts fell into place in her mind the female would quickly make her way over to the other, trying not to seem too overbearing or stand over her while she began to speak. "Oh my god, Iza! What did they do to you, sweetie?" The worry in her voice was as clear as it could get. Someone had done something to Iza, that much was clear, and now she needed to figure out who so she could deal with them. The female would sit down, allowing for any kind of cuddle if Iza would allow it, and sit in silence if that was what the other being needed.

Mismatched optics blinked softly as she gazed around Sakuramori to see what was around the forest. Sometimes? The canine would come here simply to make sure no one was lost inside, as it was the property of the guild and it would not do good to randomly just let people wander in and die from losing their way. Of course, she had sometimes found people who wanted to be lost and just left them there because she could eat the misery they let out as they got lost to the spirits of the forest. Plus, one couldn't guide out someone who didn't want to leave in the first place, so she would be wasting her time dragging the sad saps out of the woods. Jiyu really had no interest in denying herself food so long as it couldn't make her look bad as the ace of a legal guild, she had to think of the guild but she also really loved eating negative energy, the flavor became more addicting the more she ventured to it. So, the woman really had many reasons for being in the sakura forest.

Sadly, some vacation time to get many small meals from the deceivingly beautiful woodland, was not actually what Jiyu had in mind. With everyone on her mind? She was heading out to work again, so she could drown out any thoughts she had with some hard work, and maybe some gambling on the way back. Of course, she had to wonder what Astrid would think if the elf caught her gambling her job earnings away somewhere. Would she end up with a broken nose or something from her friend being upset and concerned? Maybe, or perhaps she would just break the elfs heart, the last thing she wanted to do considering the fact she'd failed as a friend once already. Honestly, considering she had lived with Astrid, Lucius and their grandfather for a stretch of time, simply calling the white-haired girl 'friend' never felt right, but it was the best she could do. What right did she have to call either of them pseudo-family, after she had abandoned them like that! Thus she was eager to think about nothing, hence why she was heading through one of the villages near Sakuramori in the first place, to find work, to not think.

Wandering the streets of Midian Village she desperately hoped something would go wrong, trying to keep that desire under control. If she went too far with that hope? She had no doubt the negative aura contained within her body could leak out and very well make something happen. Jiyu had no desire to cause whatever problem she drowned herself by solving! Judging from a scent she was picking up, it seemed she needed to take a detour at the moment. The young canine had picked up the scent of Izayuki, but something was amiss, it was stronger than normal, meaning the guild master could be bleeding or such, she had to at least check it out. After all? Hadn't Izayuki been the one to convince her she didn't need to wear a hooded cloak when her physical Inugami traits first emerged! She kinda owed the other animal girl at this point, plus she kinda wanted to earn trust so she could figure out what was between Izayuki and Astrid, it bothered her.

Eventually, Jiyu followed the heavier scent of Izayuki to the front stairs of an inn. What she saw? Seemed like a rather sorrowful scene, to her at least. Aiyana was there to one side of the other woman, attempting a cuddle filled form of comfort, Izayuki was on the stairs and she didn't look too great. Actually, if she really honed her senses in? Something seemed different, but Jiyu could not make it out from her distance, considering her piss poor sight. No words left her mouth until she was about five feet from them, steps from the base of the stairs. "Yo." the Inugami wanted to ask who did it, so she could chase them that was so much easier! However, she opted for another path, settled herself down on the side of Iza that Aiya was not currently occupying, actually sitting instead of levitating. Normally she would say more, but she had good enough hearing to know Aiyana's question came first, and she really didn't know what to do from here. Most times she just ran off to fight the beast, she was only doing this because she owed Iza the same emotional support the guildmaster had already given her, even if it was uncomfortable for her to stay still instead of fight.

LIGHT WHITE LEAVES ♦ open to all LaQxJWX

The flesh of the innocent so often becomes dirty in this cruel, cold world. Sirens and screams so often reverberate throughout the lampshade of the midnight mist.

    Healing.

Recovering and support often follows those who themselves do good. Blurry ley lines cover the world on upon each, people are constantly drifting, like leaves in a vast forest. Sakuramori offers a quiet respite for souls that have been wounded or distressed. Or for those simply needing peace of mind. Small footsteps trail away from the forest, on a path bordered by pitch black roses. Beautiful in their own right. An ironic sight that conveys the luster of hurt turning into faint memory and giving birth to newfound trust.

On his way into town, the soft fiddling of a street performer introduced him to the mismatched cobblestone and packed dirt of the town street. He walks and eventually heads to the inn. Serenely, his eyes set upon Jiyu; he seemly can never avoid her. He makes his way to the small group of people conversing. Someone he doesn't know. And Izayuki, if he eavesdropped correctly. The guildmaster was always changing her form nowadays. As a friendly, light spirit, he senses a deep pain--no, darkness within Iza--not the usual darkness, either, but something else. He runs, lightly--more of a bouncing jog--up to the group. "You're hurt," he exclaims softly, so genuine that if it came from a regular human it might be concerning. He tries to make eye contact, and then asks for permission, "Can I help you?"

Esialeth approached the street slowly, in no real hurry to achieve the end result of the journey; her last errand was done, and she had no real obligation to return swiftly. The streets of Sakuramori were imbued with a different aura than those of Rose Garden, but the familiar emblem of Black Rose still flew proudly from a number of businesses.

But no matter. Her work was done, and she was looking forward to relaxing in her room. Esialeth  glanced toward the clouds, illuminated by the sun's glow, and allowed her powers of observation to slip; had she done so completely, she might have failed to recognize her elusive guildmaster and several of her guildmates huddled on a street corner, looking rather worse for wear.

Izayuki seemed to be in yet another one of her forms — which seemed to be shifting with ever-increasing frequency — and the rest of her guildmates were attempting to comfort her.

The guildmaster looked like she would quite prefer to be alone, but she was also hurt; had Esialeth been in her position, she might have preferred the comfort of solitude as well. For a moment, the fledgeling mage considered gracefully leaving the guildmaster to her own devices; she seemed to be in good hands.

Esialeth also thought that, given a moment to gather herself, that the guildmaster could have pulled herself up from that gutter of anguish and self-pity, wiped the tears from her face and continued on. Had she the chance, that the guildmaster would have righted herself, locked all of it away, and continued with her insane mission, crystalline, untouchable, and every bit an exemplification of an H-rank mage.

Esialeth also believed that it would have been a terrible thing to do, to face her inner demons alone, afraid to show the slightest hint that she was anything less than invincible.

    Esialeth stepped forward.

Toward her guildmaster, and if she was lucky, her friends; her bag of herbal salves and bandages began to feel lighter, as if sensing that their purpose was about to be fufilled. She cleared her throat, hoarse from disuse and dehydration, and said softly, "Guildmaster, is everything all right?"

Dressed in a blue t-shirt and white skirt with black tennis shoes, Victoria found herself wandering into Sakuramori. Something had drawn the brunette here, something that could not easily be explained. It sounded hokey, but it was like something told her to travel here. The brunette followed that instinct and ended up in a place that looked peaceful but felt strange.

Victoria walked down the streets and eventually came across several familiar faces standing on a street corner. They were huddled around someone, someone she did not readily recognize. Upon closer inspection, she recognized three of Black Rose's guild members.

    Seth. Esialeth. Jiyu.

With them was a young woman who was not a familiar face. She was new, but she possessed incredible magic power, Wizard Saint-level power like the kind she felt emanating from Astrid back at the Silver Moon Inn. Was the young woman another Wizard Saint or was she just really strong? The answer to that question could wait... Victoria spied a figure with white hair and a white tail. The young woman looked familiar.

It took her several minutes, but the brunette eventually recognized the person in question. It was Izayuki herself! It looked like someone had done a number on her. Had the Corlones somehow overpowered her and beat her up for information on Black Rose? Victoria did not know.

"Guild Master? What happened to you?" Victoria asked the white-haired young woman, keeping a respectful distance. The brunette was not happy about this. She was not happy at all.

Izayuki had taken her into the guild without caring about her background as a street kid from Capital Crocus. As a member of Black Rose, she had met several people she was on good terms with, made a few friends, earned some honest Jewels, and had even achieved promotion to a position of authority and responsibility. Even though the two were not particularly close, Izayuki had become something of a mother figure to Victoria. The latter wanted to know who had harmed the Guild Master so that a grave could be dug for the offender. Victoria was fairly certain that the other guild members felt the same way.

Izayuki Hyoujin ♦ Black Rose ♦ H Rank

In the territory that was managed and often occupied by the Black Rose guild, the tanuki knew that she could have expected to see her guildmates at some point. The fact that the little kitsune girl was there, however, was a comforting surprise. The bakedanuki’s physical appearance was not enough to hide who she truly was. Aiyana of course could feel that something was wrong and instantly inquired, already making it obvious that she recognized the white-haired ayakashi as the fellow wizard saint. Izayuki welcomed the comfort of a friend sitting nearby, and unconsciously began wrapping her new alabaster-furred tail around one of the kitsune’s own snowy-white tails. She did not wish to go into great detail of what had happened; it was too painful to call or bring to mind. Though the event was passed and she had regenerated a new body, the memories still brought a sort of phantom pain to the girl and she did not want to risk stirring one of the three demons again.

“Nightshade Hell Deity,” Izayuki whispered, arms crossed in uncertainty as she wound her white tail even tighter around one of Aiyana’s. A couple of tears still welled at the corners of her eyes, but did not begin to fall. “She… it… it left me for dead and took my tail,” the bakedanuki tried to force out, her forehead resting against Aiyana’s shoulder as she held herself, arms remaining crossed. She could not pipe out the details of the torture, nor did she want to mention it and stir anything worse from within her. She realized that she had a new tail now, but it was not like the old one. This form was not one she created by choice but rather was one forced upon her from the demonic energy unable to escape her body.

The scent of another canine washed over the ayakashi, who raised her head to see the familiar inugami and ace of her guild. In silence, the wounded tanuki allowed the other yokai to sit at her other side. Jiyu was not the only other guildmate of hers to appear. The guild master recognized the presence of the guildmarks all over, with Seth, Esialeth, and finally Victoria all approaching to inquire about what had happened and if she was alright. Izayuki was quite impressed that they managed to recognize her despite her new form, but such a thing could only be expected of family, perhaps. Gingerly, she turned her head towards Seth at first before continuing to focus her pale optics to Esialeth and then Victoria. “I’m fine now,” she said softly, gazing back down at the paved steps below her as she told the most of the truth. “I had a tangle with a demonic goddess is all, and I lost.”

So much for keeping too much attention from herself. The bakedanuki was not willing to share the full details for the sake of her guildmates and herself. However, the small descriptions she had given were quite true. She had been helpless against the demonic being, completely unable to fight or defend herself. Normal healing magic or unique herbs were not going to mend the wounds she had sustained. Even her own unique body had been unable to purge the three hell demons and their excruciating venom. Regardless, the guild master attempted to force a small reassuring smile, not wishing to further worry her guildmates. To them, hopefully it would be a simple case of a powerful mage losing to somebody stronger and escaping with their life. It was nothing more.

It really was a shame, Esialeth thought, that the guildmaster had to face these demons at such a young age. As far as she knew, Izayuki had only just turned twenty -- not quite a child, but certainly not an adult.

Izayuki had regenerated her body, a clever bit of magic, but though she was bereft of any physical wounds, Esialeth was certain that whatever mental wounds she sustained was enough for ten lifetimes, and that the pain of holding those demons could be worse than the ache of any scar...

Esialeth was just a fledgeling mage -- until recently, she had led a very different life, one without the intrigue, the whimsy, the danger of the magical world. Compared to her guildmates, she was a match against their wildfire. She could neither fight, nor defend, nor heal wounds...but maybe she could try to heal something else.

So she sat down across from her guildmaster, paying no mind to the way her thin dress scraped against the unforgiving cobblestones, and talked, her voice like tinkling bells against the harsh noise of the city.

"You know, Iza, we should get you back. To the guild hall, I mean. I can make you some tea, and cake, because I can bake stuff -- Seth acts like I can't make my own food, but all he can do is cook, can't bake at all, and -- oh! you should see what everyone's been up to, they'll be eager to show you, especially --"

She continued like this for a while, only when the tears in her guildmaster's eyes turned from pools to puddles, puddles to heavy mist, does she pause.

"Ahaha, but you probably want to talk to somebody else now...I tend to ramble..."

A lie. Esialeth never rambled, and she certainly wasn't about to start now. No, she never made it a habit to let her guard down like that, but...well. If she was ever going to break her self-imposed rules, now seemed like a good time to do it; she could only hope that it worked, and that Izayuki was feeling at least marginally better.

Aiyana had instinctually gone to comfort Izayuki, it was in her blood. The fact that she was trying to woo her any other time had nothing to do with her actions at current. That was why the tail of the bakedanuki wrapping around one of her own nine tails had come as a silent surprise, though she would gladly accept what was going on if it helped the Black Rose guild master during this time of grief. Aiyana's own tails would become a type of 'hug' for the other female even as she began to barely string together words to give her an idea of what was going on. Iza's own tail would wrap tighter as she mentioned the deity that had done this to her, the scowl coming across Aiyana's face at finding out who did this near impossible to ignore by anyone that looked at her instead of the main focus at the time.

So the Nightshade Hell Deity had done this, left her for dead and robbed her of the beautiful tail she had had before. How horrid! Aiyana would bring an arm up and gently rub the Tanuki's arm as she lay her forehead against the celestial spirit's shoulder. This was clearly something that was going to take time to recover from, maybe more so than when Aiyana Shuer had lost her own original body way back when, and it was clear she would need her friends and guildmates nearby even if she said she was okay. Other's would begin to pour into the area, only one being recognizable to her as something other than a stranger. That girl was Jiyu, whom would sit on the other side of Iza, and the rest were clearly from Black Rose with how they were speaking with the guild master. Even as others spoke, as others did their own encouragement and words of wisdom, Aiyana would ignore most of it to whisper to the poor female while she was easily able to. "I will find who did this. They will pay. You have my word. If there's anything else I can do, let me know. I'm here for you." Internally Aiyana was furious, how could anyone do this to her? Aiyana had saved her life once before and had completed a one hundred year job with her as well. She knew this woman and knew that whoever had done this was strong enough to deal with her on their own. The nine-tailed fox would raise an army if she had to, would put her own jewels into making the job to take down this deity if necessary. For now, however, she and the others needed to be here for her. Revenge could come later.

It wasn't long after she sat down beside her guild master that numerous other members of the guild began to show up, all of them easily recognized by her. Sure, they were close to guild owned territory, but she still had not expected to see quite so many of them show up almost out of the blue. Would Izayuki feel overcrowded and suffocated by all the people suddenly gathering around her, when something traumatic may have taken place? It was hard to tell, everyone reacted to things differently, and if she was willing to play she would have been able to read things, but the canine had been trying her best to stop toying with people like she used to. When she was actually sincere and unplayful both? it was incredibly awkward for the bluenette since she hadn't been that in a very long time. "Iza, you alright with so many people around?" all she could really do was ask, she didn't want stress atop whatever had happened on Iza, hand trying to move briefly to the tanuki's shoulder before returning to her own side a couple inches away from the cuddlefest.

"Sh, calm own, Iza will let us know if she wants to go back to Silver Moon." the canine didn't look over at her speaking guild-mate, one ear pivoted towards them but everything else focused on the female in Aiyana's embrace. The idea being presented by the Kitsune was actually the best one that Jiyu had heard all day, it was much like taking some mission or something, only for the purpose of revenge, which as an Inugami she could totally get behind.

    No!

The light haired girl shook her head briefly, realizing she had momentarily been considering feeding off this, which wouldn't be acceptable, no matter how tasty the negativity smelled. "Two heads are better than one." her tail switched sides and rested neatly between herself and the other two, bare feet sliding up and down against the stairs beneath them every few minutes as a nervous tic of sorts or just idle behavior. "So before any of you three get any bright idea's if you try to go after whoever did this on your own, I'll drag your asses back to the guild and ground you somehow." did she know how she was going to ground full grown adults? Nah, but it really didn't matter, she'd get creative, she mothered a kitsune for lord sakes, a trickster, she could ground a few adults. "If they're capable of defeating Iza none of you stand a chance, and I don't want to see my guild-mates as corpses. Promise you won't try anything stupid." she looked at Victoria, Esi, and Seth, expecting a response, but turned her attention back to Izayuki fairly quickly.

"Iza, I'll stay if you want me to." she owed the other female that much, even if it wouldn't be the easiest thing for her to do, especially in her current state.  "but someone should go digging up anything we can on this Nightshade Deity who attacked you." not confronting, she wasn't foolish enough to do that, no matter how tasty revenge sounded, not yet at least. "At the very least we need to find out more so we can keep people safe if this thing could bring you down, it's likely a danger to the rest of the world, including the guild,....." she trailed off, cause honestly she had some concerns about it coming back for round two on the tanuki, since she didn't know if it had meant to leave the guildmaster alive or not. Would Izayuki be alright with her heading off to dig up any info she could find? Jiyu really didn't know. She hated to bring up something like this so soon, and sighed slightly, offering a small pale smile to the tanuki. "But all that can wait." she then attempted to return her hand to the other's shoulder if the reaction hadn't been negative the first time.

Victoria paused in place. Jiyu's declaration was completely unexpected. Her, try to track down the one who had hurt Izayuki, by herself? How ridiculous. Victoria was not going to do that.

Well, the thought had crossed her mind. But thinking and doing were two different things. If any action was to be directed at the unknown enemy, it would have to be done as a group.

"OK, I won't do anything stupid, Jiyu." Victoria promised. As an Ace, stupid behavior was something to be avoided. Since she wanted to keep her title, Victoria would avoid doing something really stupid.

Izayuki Hyoujin ♦ Black Rose ♦ H Rank

“I’d prefer not to return to the inn, for now,” Izayuki clarified at Esialeth’s suggestion. She understood that her guildmate only wanted to help, but she could not present herself to the bulk of her guild in the state she sat in. There were too many questions and the young ayakashi questioned her own mental, emotional, and physical stability for the moment.

Aiyana, however, ignored the surrounding commotion and whispered to Izayuki words only she could hear. The bakedanuki’s ears pricked at first in surprise and then at mild dismay as she shook her head. “Whatever you do, don’t go after them. I don’t want anybody else getting hurt,” the guild master murmured to the kitsune, a worried look in her pale eyes, before peering around at her guildmates once more. She was about to relay the same message to them, but quickly found that she would not have to. Jiyu had begun lecturing the surrounding Black Rose members on not tracking down the deity who could do so much physical and psychological damage.

However, then the subject of at least investigating the Nightshade Hell Deity was brought to light. Overwhelmed between the sudden influx of familiar faces and the recent trauma, the guildmaster pulled her hands over her soft snowy-furred ears, attempting to blot out the thoughts and the stream of unfortunate emotions. She knew that if they attempted to track down the identity of that monster, they would likely meet a very painful outcome. Shaking her head, the bakedanuki felt relief when Jiyu finally mentioned it could wait. “Later,” she muttered out, unable to really summon the words she needed to further give information or orders. For now, she just wanted to remain in the comforting tail embrace of Aiyana, if nothing else.

Right now Aiyana was ready to leave at the drop of the hat to get the revenge she had just told Iza she would get for her. The surprise from the whisper she got back was quite clear, she had not expected to be turned down or told no on something Aiyana had said she would do. Others were suggesting other things to do, such as going back to places that were home for the guild of Black Rose, while others would suggest investigating this deity that had done such heinous acts.

After recovering from the mild shock, the celestial spirit would shift her tails and the two of them to a slightly more comfortable position before continuing her whispering into the other's ear. "I want to be closer to you, to see you more often and to keep you safe. Will you let me come to Black Rose?" Many would see it as a betrayal of the guild she was currently in, Lamia Scale, to leave for the sake of one person. Aiyana only did it for those she felt closer to than others. She had done it once before with one girl she had been close to, Mao, but she was lost and presumed dead. That loss had cut her deep, it still stung to this day, but now she was finding someone else that helped her forget the pain of that loss; Izayuki Hyoujin. If only she would return the feelings, but only time would be able to tell her about that one.

The small woman nodded when Victoria promised not to do anything stupid, minor sense of dread kicking in. Why had she believed promises were any bit of a good idea? Sure it was the authority thing, but she was an Inugami with contract powers who had in the past been shown unable to control her contractual powers. All she could do now was pray her stupid lapse of thinking had not landed her into any sort of contract as she didn't really like them, only one had ever ended well. If they did something stupid and she didn't know, could it still count if a contract did exist? Jiyu really wished she knew better how that ability worked. Luckily it at least seemed her dim witted wording of the 'lecture' had saved Izayuki some time with their guild mates, hopefully aiding the time the guild master could use to recover. Whatever exactly had taken place, clearly took its tool and having her own experience with trauma the canine understood this was not just going to vanish overnight, it would take a long time.

The female looked at the other two sitting on the stairs, letting those standing around fade out for the moment. With senses high as hers? Focusing on everything at once could be painful when she didn't want to drown in the noise to block out her own. "Everything at your pace." After-all it was the same dignity that the other female had given her when she was retrieved from her captivity. The guild had even been decent enough to not file any police report or such thing, leaving few people as possible to know about what had taken place. Frankly, no one expect her knew all the details, thus she never had to be reminded and maybe that was why she could act as if it had never happened with most of the females around her. Of course, it was all pretend, but who needed to know. "It looks like Aiyana has everything, so if neither of you have any objections, I'll leave this to you two and go on the mission I'd taken?" it honestly looked as if the kitsune was the one doing the best right now, and too many people trying could be worse than no one at all.

Of course, she'd check up later, in no way did she intend to leave the ice mage alone, but she could only do so much. Trying to do an excessive amount? Wouldn't be good for either of them. "Unless you wanted to come with, I won't say you can't, but I get the feeling you just want to stay here, together?" because she certainly wasn't going to let the other girl stay alone so soon, she knew better than some standing there that being alone so quickly after trauma was no good. Iza would be seeing that monster in the dark for a long time, and only someone else would be able to case it off. Likely.

Victoria had promised not to do anything rash and she was going to hold to that promise. She did not want Jiyu coming after her. Running from the blue-haired mage would do no good. Jiyu had a strong magic signature, so fighting would not help either. Victoria would just let the senior members handle the matter because whoever was strong enough to harm the Guild Master was way above her pay grade.

Maybe that was not the attitude for a Guild Ace to take. A Guild Ace was supposed to take more initiative than a rank-and-file member and be proactive, but in this case it was not that simple because a guild leader had explicitly instructed her to stand down and not take action. Complicating matters was the fact that Victoria had pledged loyalty to Black Rose and that meant following the commands of its leadership. Victoria wanted to do something to find the offender, but she was not willing to go against Jiyu and Izayuki. If they said to let something go, she would let it go.

Victoria's attention then turned from Jiyu to Aiyana. The new person had an incredibly strong magic signature that easily eclipsed Victoria's. A lot of questions began flowing through the brunette's mind.

Who was Aiyana? Why was she here? How did she know Izayuki? Why were they so close?

"Hey Jiyu, who's this Aiyana person?" Victoria asked the blue-haired mage.
