Taking back what's Yours (Job w/ Cirven & Ruvel)

Post by Johann on Tue 7 Aug 2018 - 11:17

    Job Info:

The summer had returned to Tolgalen these past days, weeks even. Where there had been undefined cool before it was now replaced by scorching, almost tropical summer heat, the scorching sun relentlessly shining down on the continent south of Fiore. It was only morning, 9am maybe, but the heat had already reached unbearable levels. Well, for the normal folk on the island at least. Still, though, the West Fiore Trading Company, who had, through hard work, made this island their own, was doing business as usual. Even at this early hour the nearby docks were already somewhat crowded, the roads to and from the warehouses and around the HQ already filled with merchants eager to do trade with the West Fiore Trading Company.

Johann was still in bed, unusual for the Vice President of the Company who, under normal circumstances, would get up a lot earlier than this, if he would even sleep Still, the last couple of weeks had been not just stressful, they had been exhausting, the old man almost breaking through not just the incident on Shadow Island, but also the ever present whispers of Mars, demonic Lord of War, or at least that's what he made himself out to be. Not only that, the cage that Mars had been held in had been damaged by circumstance, which had prompted the awakening of the Lord of War in the first place, and ... a futile attempt by Ruvel to force the demon back into it had damaged it even further, the intricate runic seal that provided separation between the two entities, the two souls that shared a body, having been modified. It had been a little while since they had returned from the Haunted Village, and now, with the runic seal broken, Johann had not a single minute without the presence of Mars making itself known. He hadn't taken over like he had done before, perhaps it wasn't possible, or the demon lord hadn't tried, but he was an avid talker, brabbling and rambling about everything and anything whenever he could, justifying his talkativeness with having been sealed away for centuries and now enjoying the opportunity to actually enjoy freedom once again, though strictly bound to the Vice President as a vessel. A thing left Jo wondering though ... the Lord of War was surprisingly agreeable for a self proclaimed demon. Though Mars reassured more than once that he was actually demonic in nature, not that he had been freed he, well, he didn't seem evil. Not good either, but Johann had expected whispers that told of darkness, despair and destruction. While Mars seemed quite fond of the latter, he wasn't dark, though also not light, just ... acting goofy. It appeared like he had a serious side, but was mischievous and shrewd otherwise, like most demons. Perhaps the Lord of War hadn't had too much experience with these sort of things either ? It would take the Vice President a lot of insight and debate to find out, probably, so that would be an entirely different topic for another day.

In any case, Johann woke up, coming to consciousness in his same old bed, in his same old room. Nothing seemed too different initially. "Ugh", quickly rising up a bit, leaning on his elbows. He had slept for a good 12 hours, the first time in ... months maybe. Seems like it hadn't done him too much good, though. He had a headache and for some bizarre reason his joints ached. He hadn't really felt pain like this in ... well, months, certainly, ever since he first had to deal with what he referred to as awakening, though it disappeared quickly after he had sat up, leaning against the wall behind his bed and staring at the ceiling, the simple wooden interior of the barrack room only lit up by a single window. It was hot in here. Almost unbearably so. Was it really already the middle of Summer again ? It left him wondering ... how long exactly had he been with the West Fiore Trading Company already ? Almost a year, it seemed like. So much had happened. Standing up and stretching, the Vice President walked right past the square mirror on the other side of the room, out of sheer force of habit, without even taking a look at his reflection. Would he have stopped ... he would've noticed something was more than off. Heading into the small bathroom Johann sighed. It was a little cooler in here, but the heat was still noticeable. Turning up the cold water on the sink right below the other mirror here in his bathroom a familiar voice rang out, "Good morning, sleepyhead. Fiiiinally awake, hm ? Tssehehe ...". Mars seemed unnaturally happy, cheerful almost, giggling with his low, demonic voice in the back of the Vice President's head. Perhaps he was just really glad he could finally enjoy freedom outside a cage again ? Jo being honest with himself, he, too, would probably have been rather happy if he would've been the one locked inside a cage for centuries at least. Still ... it was a little suspicious, "What do you want, Mars ?". "Oh, nothing, really, tsehe, I just think that today is a beautiful day, is it not ?", followed by another chuckle of the demonic entity. Johann sighed anew, washing his hands. The cold water felt like a blessing.

The morning routine was accompanied by a continuous chuckling and giggling by Mars, which in and of itself seemed like an oddity, why he did it ? The Vice President had no idea, failing to notice that not just his outward appearance, no, his entire being had been changed completely seemingly overnight. He felt strange, but that was about it. Putting on a white jacket, a temporary solution before he would change into a suit later, he left his room, this being the first clue that something wasn't quite right with the Vice President. Normally ... he wouldn't have left his room unless he was dressed neatly and professionally, as usual, but now ...  he simply felt like he couldn't be bothered. And so, the now young, silver haired male stepped out into the hallway, the Mess Hall his destination, the mark of the West Fiore Trading Company and the company pin still decorating his person.

Sol yawned as he woke from his nap he was having in his office, he had finished his work in a fast manner due to his ability to make shadowy clones so he decided to get some rest due to his body still being tired due to being so young. Sol enjoyed napping and resting since he worked hard and he often liked to laze about but how tired he was as an eight year old was starting to bug him.as he rose from the couch Sol grabbed his coat from his desk and put it on as he rubbed his eyes. “ I need coffee and something to eat” he mumbled as he  headed out the door and headed down to the cafeteria. As he moved he saw the people saying hi to him and wishing him a good day as he heads down the stairs and towards the mess hall with the intent to get a good amount of food in his belly

As he reached the bottom of the stairs Sol spotted a person he had never seen before and he quickly approached since they had the symbol on them but he had never seen him which made Sol very suspicious. " excuse me who would you happen to be I have never seen you in the company before" he asked as he waited for an answer from the man

Post by Ruvel on Fri 31 Aug 2018 - 12:23

Ruvel had went through his normal morning routine, of waking, dealing with the fledgling swallow family at the back of the company headquarters, washing, changing, placing his clothing in to be washed, making his breakfast and eventually his morning training. He was still hating the fact that he had to stay within his bedroom though it felt so claustrophobic to him, this was expected given how he was raised not that anyone other than his summons and Cirven knew of all the dark secrets that hid behind what he allowed the world to see. Why would he want to bring up such a past? The more that knew of it the worse of he would be as it would be easier to find him potentially placing the company, his home and those few he did consider friends somewhat in danger. This he could never allow, there was that and of course there was also the fact that the wounds and scars had now slowly started to heal. To open them now would just undo everything that Cirven, his summons and Rasparov had spent months helping him get over, even preventing some of the issues that he had drilled into him such as bowing so low and the fact he had to fight at times or he would become nothing more than a burden or a distraction to the others around him.

Ruvel sat watching the sun began to rise over the horizon and so began to drink and eat, when done he moved back into the kitchen cleaning what he had used before heading back to the forest nearby. The one thing he had requested that Cirven continued to do while he trained in the evening with Zinny was that he set up a route and give him stipulations to help him improve. This was something that his older brother had obliged and he had managed to get faster becoming more aware of his surroundings. Today he had to avoid yellow and red crystals not to mention any hidden traps that had been set up while collecting blue and green crystals while beating the time he had managed yesterday. He had no idea how many crystals there where but he knew that he had to collect them all or the time would keep ticking. Jumping on the trunk of one tree he jamp to another backwards and forwards until he was on the lowest branch. Lowering he took a deep breath and began his morning endurance and speed training getting caught by the occasional trap, while missing his footing once or twice but still made it to the end but barely made his normal time. All he could do was groan as he placed the crystals in the box they normally were kept in before heading back to the trading company.

"Endema" he whispered into the shadows as he did a dark skinned with pale purple hair wearing tight black leather seemed to step out of the shadow. She knelt for a moment before standing at 6'0" her slender form now fully seen. "Are you ready for your training?" she asked her tone somewhat harsh, Ruvel looked down a little nodding. "Good, I would hate to be summoned just to have my time wasted." her voice seeming like a strict school teacher. With that she created a web to the top of the trading company from the bottom, Ruvel moved to the bottom looking back to his summon. "When your ready, three seconds head start I catch you we start again." she said giving him the instructions for the training. "Understood." was the only thing he said before starting running up the web soon his summon quickly following him. A bird flew directly in front of him making him lose his balance and slip from the wire thin web Endema instantly created a new web connecting it to the one she was standing on it caught him by the ankle and had him dangling upside down outside the mess hall "embarrassing" he huffed hearing his summon laugh at the top of the web "Yeah, yeah laugh it up and get me down!" he demanded only for her to bounce on it making it act like a bundgy cord. "Okay, okay I'm sorry! Stop it." he called up the bouncing instantly stopping. It was then his eyes caught Sol and someone he didn't recognise which was strange as he knew everyone inside the company 'Who is that?' he asked his summons 'You remember back in the village with the pumpkins?' Shindara spoke back 'Yes?' Ruvel replied curious as to what this had to do with that 'When you worked with his runes something seemed to have happened and caused an interesting outcome.' Amuul continued 'That would be the master of runes.' Shindara finished making Ruvel quirk an eyebrow. "That is Mr. Weiss?" he commented wanting to get back on the ground but that would require a bit of help from the others he expected as Endema seemed to be having to much fun to help him herself.

Post by Rasparov on Sat 15 Sep 2018 - 9:39

Ever since Rasparov had finished off his creator life had been dull. There was the morning meals, the workout routines, and magical practice to blend in, the meetings with the people that trusted him with private information in the guild, and dealing with his disguise as a butler while dealing with anyone that got in his way. The guild, or the parts that dealt with him directly, had been quiet for a while now. Other than a small incident with a member by the name of Haraka, and him showing the amount of brute force he had in him, there really had been nothing else of interest since he had eliminated the creator of the beings like himself. Speaking of which, the super beings that had been created after him still struck a nerve. Father had made something better, something that could kill a god, and had told him to stay away. How could he tell someone whose entire goal was to adapt and become the top of the chain to stay away? For now, he would listen to the words of the one who had sacrificed so many souls to bring him into existence. Once word began to spread about these new beings he was sure fate would reel him in in some way.

A bite of the bagel with strawberry cream cheese spread across it would be had as he sat up straight and proper in the chair he had taken in the cafeteria. After he ate he would make rounds to see if there were any jobs to do or anyone that was ready to get beat in a duel. He was bored, he had not grown stronger today, and he needed to sate his urges before he became a danger to himself by giving away his true self beneath the mask. One day he could show what he truly was, but today was not that day.

Re: Taking back what's Yours (Job w/ Cirven & Ruvel)

Post by Johann on Fri 21 Sep 2018 - 15:57

Johann sleepily walked towards the front doors of the Company HQ building, making his way up the stairs, his open white jacket shifting from side to side with each step as he approached, stopping suddenly when he heard a voice behind himself, turning to see Sol Terumi, his fellow Vice President and friend standing there before him. "Oh, it's you", he spoke before yawning "Good morning, Sol. I apologize, but I'm not in the mood for jokes, not until I had a coffee at least, sorry about that", he waved at the other, grinning awkwardly. Still, strange joke to make though. Never seen around here before ? Yeah as if. "Why don't you follow me to the Mess Hall, though. I got something to discuss with you anyway, well, not you specifically, rather you and anyone else who should know, if you understand ...", hinting at the other, darker side of the West Fiore Trading Company for his fellow Vice President, and towards the fact that he seemingly had a job for Onyx Moon to do. About to keep walking forward towards the entrance, Johann heard a laughter to his side though, scratching the back of his head only to spot another one of his fellow Vice Presidents hanging there ... literally. "Really ?", the silver haired male thought to himself, Mars barely able to hold back his cackling laughter, evidently enjoying this whole situation more than he should. He sighed, stepping away and towards Ruvel Mizune. He didn't know what sort of weird shenanigans he was going through with Endema this time again, but while he was here he could take him along to the Mess Hall for the planned discussion. "Need any help there, Ruvel ?", he asked sarcastically, scratching the back of his head with one hand before shrugging. With a sweep of his hand, he focussed his magical energy to shoot off a blade of wind in order to cut Ruvel free and-

And nothing. He felt nothing. His magical energy wasn't reacting to him, the wind did not burst from his hand, and Ruvel was not cut free. Staring down at his hand in disbelief, he swiped it to the side again, this time with more force, from the left to the right. Nothing. From the right to the left. Nothing. "W-what ? What is going on ?", Jo stared down at open palms. His magic did not work. An idea popped up. Extending a hand, he made a fist, the runes on his hand flaring up briefly before the extremity was engulfed in flame. So the runes were still working, but ... his Air Pressure Magic ? He was confused, speechless, unsure how to react to the complete absence of what had been his own primary magic when the chuckle in the back of his mind burst into uncontrolled laughter. "Tssssehehehehe, gotcha.", ah, sure. It all made sense now. "Very funny, Mars. Now give it back.", the Vice President sent back to the voice in his head. "Can't", it instantly rang back, Johann losing it at that point, the change in appearance etc. still unnoticed by the man. "What do you mean "can't" ? Cut that shit out, Mars. Give me back my magic ... NOW !", he burst out, this time loudly, for everyone around to hear. "I suggest you take a look in a mirror first, old man, tssehehe ...", the deep voice of Mars whispered from his mouth, weirdly accentuating the last part of his sentence.

"By the gods, I swear, I will rip you apart myself when I get the chance, I promise.", The Vice President of the West Fiore Trading Company throwing up a sheet of ice before himself using his runes, his eyes widening in shock as he stared into his own reflection. He extended his hand in disbelief, the reflection in the icy mirror doing the exact same, following his movements. Who was this man he was looking at ? Relatively young, at least when compared to his age, probably in his mid to late twenties, silver hair, a red left and a grey right eye, a startled look on his face, the gaze trembling, whispering to himself "What have you done ?". Mars offered him nothing but a condescending laugh, as if the Lord of War had done him a favour. "Changed you. Your old body was ... hmm, how do I put this ? Out of date ? Inefficient, at the very least. Old one's gone for good along with your magic. Probably gonna have more luck with the ladies now, tssehehe. You'll find this form has many advantages, in fact.. Can thank me later, Mr. Vice President Sir."

Johann had enough, sliding down onto his knees, his eyes still staring at his reflection in the mirror before him, "T-this is impossible. No-", his fist beating at the icy surface "No. No ! NO ! NO NO NO NO NO ! THIS CANNOT BE !", the voice of Mars offering nothing but mockery. "And yet, my dear Johann, it is. You and I, we are one. We have become the same, tssehe ... TSSAHAHAHA. Just imagine how much fun we will have together.", Johann almost forgetting about the presence of his guildmates around him, his thoughts shifting away from the mission that had been on his mind just minutes ago, the mission that had been so intent on fulfilling this entire time.
