    Magic Type: Requip (Solitary)

    Description:
    Valkyrie is a unique type of requip magic. It involves the use of weapons, armors, and items with residual magic still connected to them from their previous owners. These items were used by powerful mages who are now deceased, but their close connection to the items allowed some of their magic abilities to be used through the weapons.

    Mayumi is able to use this magic because she had a near-death experience when she was younger. Well, not just near death- she was actually dead for several minutes before a healing mage was able to revive her. Her temporary death created a sort of permanent connection to the spiritual realm, which allows her to tap into the residual energy still attached to her weapons, armors, and items. Mayumi uses her magic in a wide variety of ways, because it is a very versatile type of magic. A few of her spell equipment pieces have long-range attacks, but for the most part she relies on melee-style fighting and short-range attacks.

    Strengths:

    • Very versatile. This magic has many different effects, so it can be adapted based on the enemy that Mayumi is facing.
    • Close range combat. Most of Mayumi's equipment is meant to be used at close range.
    • Support. Most of the equipment provide buffs for her, and sometimes even for her allies.


    Weaknesses:

    • Long-range attacks. There are a few long-range attacks in her magic, but not many.
    • Her magic can damage allies if she is not careful enough.
    • Almost all of her equipment is single-purpose. It focuses on improving one skill, without much benefit to anything else.

    Lineage:

    Beast Pride:

    Description: In human evolution there were genetic mutations that eventually lead to the creation of new species. All other human species, apart from the modern human, were thought to have all been eradicated. However, back in the days when humans still lived very close to nature, a genetic mutation took place that would stay unnoticed for millennia. Humans with these genes could understand animals and communicate on a more sophisticated level than speech. When these humans mastered magic, their unique genes allowed them to take on specific traits of animals with which they had bonded. As these humans continued to mix with those who did not possess these genes the gifts that came along with them grew weaker. Only those in which the genes are present and strong enough can still use these abilities.

    Ability: The user can communicate with animals telepathically. When they share a bond with a creature (must be a pet) they can use a weaker version of their pet's abilities themselves (one rank lower than what the pet has them) with weaker effects. Their pet have has 50% more HP and deals 50% more melee damage.

    Once per topic they can cause a Frenzy in which natural wildlife will assault the user's enemies.  Birds, deer, wolves, bears, you name it. This deals the user’s rank in melee damage(max S-rank) per post over the course of 4 posts. Greatly depends on the location on the type of beasts.

    Usage: Passive. Once per thread use of the frenzy ability that lasts 4 posts.


    Unique Abilities:


    • Spiritual Warrior: Mayumi's connection to the spiritual world allows her to see spirits and other unearthy beings that would usually be hidden from view. And because her equipment is also connected to this spiritual realm, she also has a 50% strength buff when facing any spiritual or undead creatures (ghosts, ghouls, zombies, etc.)
    • Warrior's Rest: Any time Mayumi is not using any of her requip equipment (armor, weapons, items, etc.) she passively regenerates 2.5% HP per post.
    • Berserk: This active ability allows Mayumi to gain a 50% strength buff at the cost of a 10% de-buff to her physical resistance, which is calculated from her defense after any and all defense buffs are applied. This ability lasts for up to 4 turns (she can deactivate it at will), with a cooldown time of one turn longer than the ability was active
    • Complete Set: All of Mayumi's equipment comes from previous users, and some of them come from the same user, and thus are part of a set (which is specified in their name.) If Mayumi uses all pieces of the same set she gains a 30% strength buff and a 30% physical resistance buff.
    • Spirit Link: Each of Mayumi's spirits in her secondary magic correspond to one of her equipment sets. If she summons a spirit at the same time she is using a piece of equipment from its corresponding set, she gains a buff! She gains a 20% magical resistance buff for each piece of corresponding armor she is wearing, a 20% strength buff for each corresponding weapon she is using, and a 20% spell damage buff for each corresponding item she is using. This can stack a maximum of 3 times. Of course, magical resistance still caps at 50%, counting this ability and any other buffs she might have.

    • Name: Armor of Endurance (Fortitude Set)
      Rank: D
      Type: Requip Armor, Burst

      Description: This armor is purely defensive, focusing on protecting its user from both physical and magical damage.
      Appearance:

      Strengths:

      • Increases defensive abilities


      Weaknesses:

      • Does not have any offensive abilities


      Abilities:

      • Tough Skin: This passive ability increases the user's physical resistance by 20% and their magical resistance by 20%
      • Recoil: This active ability reflects one magical attack targeted at the user back at the caster. Can only deflect attacks back that are under the damage threshold for this spell's rank. Can be used once per post, but can only be used on a specific target once per requip. (In other words, she can not use this more than once per requip against the same enemy, but she can use it again against different enemies.



    • Name: Spear of Valor (Fortitude Set)

      Type: Requip Weapon, Multiple Target
      Damage: 7 HP
      Requip HP: 50 HP
      Range: 45 m

      Description: This spells summons a spear which, although a weapon, is still mostly used for defensive purposes.

      Strengths:

      • Debuffs enemies to help defend the wielder.


      Weaknesses:

      • No offensive abilities.


      Abilities:

      • Preemptive Strike: With this passive ability, every hit this weapon lands gives the opponent a 10% spell damage debuff. This can stack up to 3 times per opponent (total of 30%) at a time, and each debuff lasts for 2 turns.
      • Weaken: With this passive ability, every hit this weapon lands gives the opponent a 10% strength debuff. This can stack up to 3 times per opponent (total of 30%) at a time, and each debuff lasts for 2 turns.


    • Name: Bracelet of Strength (Power Set)

        • Disorient: This active ability stuns one enemy. Follows the speed and range for this spell, and can only be used once per requip.
        • Sitting Duck: This passive ability gives user a 20% strength buff and 20% spell damage buff against any target who is currently being affected by any immobilization effects (stun, freeze, sleep, etc.)

    • Name: Armor of Agility (Swift Set)

      Description: This armor increases the user's speed and helps them avoid attacks.

      • Increases the user's speed
      • Helps user avoid attack


      Weaknesses:

      • Does not give any offensive bonuses
      • Does not give any defensive bonuses outside of the active ability


      Abilities:

      • Haste: This passive ability gives the user a 40% speed buff
      • Dodge: This active ability allows the user to automatically dodge one physical or magical attack. Can be used once per turn, but can only be used on a specific target once per requip. Can only be used within the spell's range.


    • Name: Armor of Charisma (Guidance Set)
      Rank: C
      Type: Requip Armor, Area of Effect
      Damage:None
      Requip HP: 120 HP
      Range: 75 m
      Speed: 30 m/s
      Duration: 5 turns
      Cooldown: 6 turns
      Downside: Not only does this spell only benefit the user's allies, but its active ability actually harms the user. (Used to increase spell range.)

      Description: This armor is purely supportive, and is meant to assist the user's allies, not the user themself.

      Strengths:

      • Provides support to the user's allies


      Weaknesses:

      • Quite useless if the user is fighting alone and has no allies


      Abilities:

      • Inspire: This passive ability grants a 25% physical resistance buff to all of the user's allies within the spell's range.
      • Living Shield: Allows the user to take the damage of an attack that hits their ally, rather than said ally being damaged. This can be used once per turn, but can only be used on a specific ally once per requip. The ally must be within the spell's range when they take this damage.


    • Name: Necklace of Leadership (Guidance Set)
      Rank: C
      Type: Requip Item, Area of Effect
      Damage: None
      Requip HP: 90 HP
      Range: 75 m

      • Sacrifice: This active ability allows the user to sacrifice 10% of their max HP in order to restore an ally by 10% of the ally's max HP (capped at the amount of HP given up by the caster). This spell can be used once per post, but can only be used on a specific ally once per requip. The ally must be within this spell's range.




    B-Rank:


    • Name: Blades of Auspice (Presage Set)

      Type: Requip Weapon, Multi-target

      Description: This spells summons numerous knives, each in a sheath strapped on the caster's body. They can be used actively, either one-handed or as a dual-wield, or they can remain sheathed while using another weapon. The active ability can be used even if the user is not wielding the knives. However, the passive only takes affect if the user is actively wielding at least one knife.
      Appearance:

      Strengths:

      • Can be used in combination with other weapons, either requip or ordinary weapons.


      Weaknesses:

      • The passive is only usable if the user is actively wielding at least one knife.


      Abilities:

      • Channel: This passive ability gives the user a 50% buff to spell damage. It only takes effect if the user is actively using at least one knife. This can increase the damage of this weapon's active ability.
      • Barrage: In this active ability, all knives on the user's person are magically flung in all directions, centered from the user's body. Each strike does spell-ranked multi-target damage (60HP). Can be used once per requip.


    • Name: Armor of Portent (Presage Set)
      Rank: B
      Type: Requip Armor, Burst
      Damage: None
      Requip HP: 180 HP
      Range: 40 HP
      Speed: 50 HP
      Duration: 6 turns

      Description: Summons armor that is based around casting spells and increasing spell damage.
      Appearance:
      Strengths:

      • Teleport is good for getting out of danger, or for surprise attacks!

      Weaknesses:

      • Limited range.


      Abilities:

      • Simmering Power: This passive ability gives the user a 50% spell damage buff.
      • Phase Out: The user dissolves, seemingly into thin air, and reappears anywhere else in the spell's range. This is a teleport, and has a cooldown of 2 turns.


    • Name: Book of Augury (Presage Set)
      Rank: B
      Type: Requip Item, Multiple Target
      Damage: None
      Requip HP: 150 HP
      Range: 150 m
      Speed: 110 m/s
      Duration: 6 turns
      Cooldown: 7 turns
      Downside: None

      Description: Summons a magical book that helps enhance magic attacks.
      Appearance:

      Strengths:

      • Increase to spell damage.
      • Ability to predict enemy's upcoming moves.

      Weaknesses:

      • Buff comes at the cost of a debuff.
      • Just because you know an attack is coming doesn't necessarily mean you can actually avoid it.


      Abilities:

      • Magic Reservoir: This passive ability grants the user a 60% spell damage buff. However, the user also gets a 10% strength debuff.
      • A Dance of Ice: In this active ability, ice crystals shoot outward from the book, shooting in all directions. They will swirl and change directions frequently as they travel to the edge of the spell's range. On striking a target they deal 60 HP of damage, and that particular crystal will be destroyed. This can be used once per requip.




    Advanced Spells:


    • Name: Sword of Fury (Power Set)
      Rank: D+
      Type: Burst
      Damage: Advanced spell-rank normal requip weapon damage (10.5 HP)
      Range: 22.5 m
      Speed: 25 m/s
      Duration: 5 turns
      Cooldown: 6 turns
      Downside: None

      Description: This sword is meant to allow the user to deal as much damage as possible to their enemies.
      Appearance:

      Strengths:

      • Increases the amount of damage that the user can do.


      Weaknesses:

      • This weapon is two-handed, meaning no other weapons can be actively used at the same time as this one.


      Abilities:

      • Overpower: This passive ability gives the user a 40% strength buff
      • Rend: This active ability hits an opponent with a damage over time attack, dealing 50% advanced spell rank damage (30HP) on the initial strike and 50% advanced spell rank damage (30HP) each turn for the opponent's next four turns, for an eventual total of 150HP of damage. This can be used once per requip.


    • Name: Guns of Sureness (Swift Set)
      Rank: C+
      Type: Requip Weapon, Multiple Target
      Damage: Each hit deals 50% advanced spell-rank normal requip weapon damage (10.5HP)
      Range: 135 m
      Speed: 100 m/s
      Duration: 6 turns

      Description: This weapon consists of two guns, with each gun dealing 50% of rank damage per hit.
      Appearance:

      Strengths:

      • Decreases the opponent's ability to dodge attacks.
      • Because there are two guns two attacks can be fired at once, with each one having to be dodged separately.


      Weaknesses:

      • Each successful attack only does 50% damage.
      • The guns must be used together, meaning this is a two-handed weapon. As such, no other weapon can be wielded actively while using this one.


      Abilities:

      • Delay: De-buffs the speed of two chosen enemies by 20%. They must be within the spell's range.
      • Fire at Will: This active ability allows the user to fire a quick barrage of six shots, three from each gun. They are all aimed in the same direction, and each successful hit deals 50% spell-rank damage (34HP). This can be used once per requip.


    • Name: Axe of Renewal (Revival Set)
      Rank: B+
      Type: Requip Weapon, Single Target
      Damage: 22 HP
      Requip HP: 225 HP
      Range: 300 m
      Speed: 300 m/s

      Description: Summons a magical battleaxe that not only does damage, but heals the wielder as well!

      • Life Drain: The wielder is passively healed by 25% of damage dealt by this weapon. This does not apply to damage dealt by its active ability.
      • Resuscitate: This active attack targets a single opponent, and must land a physical blow. It deals 90 HP of damage, and heals the member of the wielder's party with the lowest HP by 30 HP. This can be either the wielder themself, or one of their allies. This has a cooldown of 3 turns.

      • Restoration: This passive ability grants the user HP regeneration of 2.5% per turn.
      • Holy Shield: This active ability creates a shield around the user. This shield can take two hits of spell-ranked damage, and heals the user by 25% of the damage taken by the shield. However, it cannot heal damage from darkness spells. This shield lasts 2 turns, and has a cooldown of 3 turns.

    Hello there, Mayumi! Sorry for the wait-- the magic creating season has been crazy.

    • For armor and melee-type weapons I went ahead and put rank ranges and speeds, just to be on the safe side. But with the exception of special active abilities I can't really imagine it having much affect on armors. And for melee weapons, when not using an active magical ability, would you go based on the spell-rank speeds, or the user's speed since they're actively in control of the weapon at all times? The speed and ranges are spell based and are meant for the requip abilities which utilize speed/range.
    • As far as MP goes, I would assume that it takes spell-ranked MP to activate a requip spell, and also spell-ranked MP to use an active ability. Is this right? It's just spell ranked MP to use the spell, and that includes all the abilities.
    • Under spell type, they're all requips, so in addition to saying what type of equipment it is (armor, weapon, item) I also put the classification from which I drew it's range, speed, damage, etc. from (you know, single target, multi-target, area of effect, burst.)

    No worries, it happens. And thanks! I tried to be as creative as I could. Anyhow, I think it's all fixed up. For the whip of entanglement I specified that it can only be used during a successful physical attack, which hopefully solves the issues of both range and speed. And of course, if there's anything else I need to work on I'll be glad to make any necessary changes!

    Valkyrie is a unique type of requip magic. It involves the use of weapons, armors, and items with residual magic still connected to them from their previous owners. These items were used by powerful mages who are now deceased, but their close connection to the items allowed some of their magic abilities to be used through the weapons.

    Mayumi is able to use this magic because she had a near-death experience when she was younger. Well, not just near death- she was actually dead for several minutes before a healing mage was able to revive her. Her temporary death created a sort of permanent connection to the spiritual realm, which allows her to tap into the residual energy still attached to her weapons, armors, and items. Mayumi uses her magic in a wide variety of ways, because it is a very versatile type of magic. A few of her spell equipment pieces have long-range attacks, but for the most part she relies on melee-style fighting and short-range attacks.

    Strengths:

    • Very versatile. This magic has many different effects, so it can be adapted based on the enemy that Mayumi is facing.
    • Close range combat. Most of Mayumi's equipment is meant to be used at close range.
    • Support. Most of the equipment provide buffs for her, and sometimes even for her allies.


    Weaknesses:

    • Long-range attacks. There are a few long-range attacks in her magic, but not many.
    • Her magic can damage allies if she is not careful enough.
    • Almost all of her equipment is single-purpose. It focuses on improving one skill, without much benefit to anything else.

    Lineage:

    Beast Pride:

    Description: In human evolution there were genetic mutations that eventually lead to the creation of new species. All other human species, apart from the modern human, were thought to have all been eradicated. However, back in the days when humans still lived very close to nature, a genetic mutation took place that would stay unnoticed for millennia. Humans with these genes could understand animals and communicate on a more sophisticated level than speech. When these humans mastered magic, their unique genes allowed them to take on specific traits of animals with which they had bonded. As these humans continued to mix with those who did not possess these genes the gifts that came along with them grew weaker. Only those in which the genes are present and strong enough can still use these abilities.

    Ability: The user can communicate with animals telepathically. When they share a bond with a creature (must be a pet) they can use a weaker version of their pet's abilities themselves (one rank lower than what the pet has them) with weaker effects. Their pet have has 50% more HP and deals 50% more melee damage.

    Once per topic they can cause a Frenzy in which natural wildlife will assault the user's enemies.  Birds, deer, wolves, bears, you name it. This deals the user’s rank in melee damage(max S-rank) per post over the course of 4 posts. Greatly depends on the location on the type of beasts.

    Usage: Passive. Once per thread use of the frenzy ability that lasts 4 posts.


    Unique Abilities:


    • Spiritual Warrior: Mayumi's connection to the spiritual world allows her to see spirits and other unearthy beings that would usually be hidden from view.     Beast Pride:

    Description: In human evolution there were genetic mutations that eventually lead to the creation of new species. All other human species, apart from the modern human, were thought to have all been eradicated. However, back in the days when humans still lived very close to nature, a genetic mutation took place that would stay unnoticed for millennia. Humans with these genes could understand animals and communicate on a more sophisticated level than speech. When these humans mastered magic, their unique genes allowed them to take on specific traits of animals with which they had bonded. As these humans continued to mix with those who did not possess these genes the gifts that came along with them grew weaker. Only those in which the genes are present and strong enough can still use these abilities.

    Ability: The user can communicate with animals telepathically. When they share a bond with a creature (must be a pet) they can use a weaker version of their pet's abilities themselves (one rank lower than what the pet has them) with weaker effects. Their pet have has 50% more HP and deals 50% more melee damage.

    Once per topic they can cause a Frenzy in which natural wildlife will assault the user's enemies.  Birds, deer, wolves, bears, you name it. This deals the user’s rank in melee damage(max S-rank) per post over the course of 4 posts. Greatly depends on the location on the type of beasts.

    Usage: Passive. Once per thread use of the frenzy ability that lasts 4 posts.


    Unique Abilities:


    • Spiritual Warrior: Mayumi's connection to the spiritual world allows her to see spirits and other unearthy beings that would usually be hidden from view. And because her equipment is also connected to this spiritual realm, she also has a 25% strength buff when facing any spiritual or undead creatures (ghosts, ghouls, zombies, etc.)
    • Warrior's Rest: Any time Mayumi is not using any of her requip equipment (armor, weapons, items, etc.) she passively regenerates 2.5% HP per post.
    • Berserk: This active ability allows Mayumi to gain a 50% strength buff at the cost of a 10% de-buff to her physical resistance, which is calculated from her defense after any and all defense buffs are applied. This ability lasts for up to 4 turns (she can deactivate it at will), with a cooldown time of one turn longer than the ability was active
    • Complete Set: All of Mayumi's equipment comes from previous users, and some of them come from the same user, and thus are art of a set (which is specified in their name.) If Mayumi uses all pieces of the same set she gains a 25% strength buff and a 25% physical resistance buff.

    Alright, finally got around to updating my magic. Here are the changes. There were a few, since I created this just before the magic update...
    • Upgraded unique abilities due to rank-up. Most percentages were increased.
    • Added new Unique ability, Spirit Link
    • Added the Requip HP section to all my spells, per the magic rules update.
    • Checked spell ranges and speeds. I think there was a minor change to one of the D-rank spells (I lowered it a little because it was higher than the table)
    • Upgraded Blades of Auspice from D-Rank to B-Rank to match the rest of its set.
    • Added a D-Rank spell, Spear of Valor
    • Added two B-rank spells, Armor of Portent and Book of Augury
    • Added B+ Rank spell, Axe of Renewal
    • Added refined requip, Salve Armor (Under signature spells)

    Firstly, Iza and I talked about a specific area of the requip rules about equipment and the benefits granted.

    Iza made a mistake during your first grading due to a misunderstanding of this part, and I nearly did as well. That part relates to benefits that can be added in if you've purchased an item that has been made separate to your magic, but can also be used in your requip magic spells. Specifically, your requip items here have the 3 ability benefit, which is okay if you have purchased all these items, but I don't see that you have. If you have purchased these items and I just can't find them, that's my bad and just let me know. Otherwise, the third abilities will need to be removed.

      • A Dance of Ice: In this active ability, ice crystals shoot outward from the book, shooting in all directions. They will swirl and change directions frequently as they travel to the edge of the spell's range. On striking a target they deal 60 HP of damage, and that particular crystal will be destroyed. This can be used once per requip.
      • Prophecy: This active ability allows the user to predict one opponent's next move. Of course, just because they know what will happen doesn't necessarily mean they can stop it. This requires OOC permission and has a cooldown of 2 posts.

    I definitely did not know that. I went through and cut the items down to two abilities. That said, might I suggest a clarification be added to the magic rules? I actually asked another staff member before creating my magic and they thought I was right, so I don’t think I am the only one who was confused on the matter. A note about having to purchase the items would be helpful.

    Valkyrie is a unique type of requip magic. It involves the use of weapons, armors, and items with residual magic still connected to them from their previous owners.     Strengths:

    • Very versatile. This magic has many different effects, so it can be adapted based on the enemy that Mayumi is facing.
    • Close range combat. Most of Mayumi's equipment is meant to be used at close range.
    • Support. Most of the equipment provide buffs for her, and sometimes even for her allies.


    Weaknesses:

    • Long-range attacks. There are a few long-range attacks in her magic, but not many.
    • Her magic can damage allies if she is not careful enough.
    • Almost all of her equipment is single-purpose. It focuses on improving one skill, without much benefit to anything else.

    Lineage:

    Beast Pride:

    Description: In human evolution there were genetic mutations that eventually lead to the creation of new species. All other human species, apart from the modern human, were thought to have all been eradicated. However, back in the days when humans still lived very close to nature, a genetic mutation took place that would stay unnoticed for millennia. Humans with these genes could understand animals and communicate on a more sophisticated level than speech. When these humans mastered magic, their unique genes allowed them to take on specific traits of animals with which they had bonded. As these humans continued to mix with those who did not possess these genes the gifts that came along with them grew weaker. Only those in which the genes are present and strong enough can still use these abilities.

    Ability: The user can communicate with animals telepathically. When they share a bond with a creature (must be a pet) they can use a weaker version of their pet's abilities themselves (one rank lower than what the pet has them) with weaker effects. Their pet have has 50% more HP and deals 50% more melee damage.

    Once per topic they can cause a Frenzy in which natural wildlife will assault the user's enemies.  Birds, deer, wolves, bears, you name it. This deals the user’s rank in melee damage(max S-rank) per post over the course of 4 posts. Greatly depends on the location on the type of beasts.

    Usage: Passive. Once per thread use of the frenzy ability that lasts 4 posts.


    Unique Abilities:


    • Spiritual Warrior: Mayumi's connection to the spiritual world allows her to see spirits and other unearthy beings that would usually be hidden from view. And because her equipment is also connected to this spiritual realm, she also has a 50% strength buff when facing any spiritual or undead creatures (ghosts, ghouls, zombies, etc.)
    • Warrior's Rest: Any time Mayumi is not using any of her requip equipment (armor, weapons, items, etc.) she passively regenerates 2.5% HP per post.
    • Berserk: This active ability allows Mayumi to gain a 50% strength buff at the cost of a 10% de-buff to her physical resistance, which is calculated from her defense after any and all defense buffs are applied. This ability lasts for up to 4 turns (she can deactivate it at will), with a cooldown time of one turn longer than the ability was active
    • Complete Set: All of Mayumi's equipment comes from previous users, and some of them come from the same user, and thus are part of a set (which is specified in their name.) If Mayumi uses all pieces of the same set she gains a 30% strength buff and a 30% physical resistance buff.
    • Spirit Link: Each of Mayumi's spirits in her secondary magic correspond to one of her equipment sets. If she summons a spirit at the same time she is using a piece of equipment from its corresponding set, she gains a buff! She gains a 20% magical resistance buff for each piece of corresponding armor she is wearing, a 20% strength buff for each corresponding weapon she is using, and a 20% spell damage buff for each corresponding item she is using. This can stack a maximum of 3 times. [The magical resistance buff here can't quite stack 3 times, since the hard cap for magical resistance is 50% total. Other than that little note, this is cool.]

    Alright, I added a note to the UA stating that the resistance buffs still cap at 50%. I didn't think to add it before because her armors are all complete sets, so she can only really wear one at once, so I can't see her ever having more than one resistance buff at a time anyway. But it's covered now, just in case it does come up. As far as the battleaxe, the damage is lower because that's the spell's weakness! I think it should be all good now.

    Valkyrie is a unique type of requip magic. It involves the use of weapons, armors, and items with residual magic still connected to them from their previous owners. These items were used by powerful mages who are now deceased, but their close connection to the items allowed some of their magic abilities to be used through the weapons.

    Mayumi is able to use this magic because she had a near-death experience when she was younger. Her temporary death created a sort of permanent connection to the spiritual realm, which allows her to tap into the residual energy still attached to her weapons, armors, and items. A few of her spell equipment pieces have long-range attacks, but for the most part she relies on melee-style fighting and short-range attacks.

    Strengths:

    • Very versatile. This magic has many different effects, so it can be adapted based on the enemy that Mayumi is facing.
    • Close range combat. Most of Mayumi's equipment is meant to be used at close range.
    • Support. Most of the equipment provide buffs for her, and sometimes even for her allies.


    Weaknesses:

    • Long-range attacks. There are a few long-range attacks in her magic, but not many.
    • Her magic can damage allies if she is not careful enough.
    • Almost all of her equipment is single-purpose. It focuses on improving one skill, without much benefit to anything else.

    Lineage:

    Beast Pride:

    Description: In human evolution there were genetic mutations that eventually lead to the creation of new species. All other human species, apart from the modern human, were thought to have all been eradicated. However, back in the days when humans still lived very close to nature, a genetic mutation took place that would stay unnoticed for millennia. Humans with these genes could understand animals and communicate on a more sophisticated level than speech. When these humans mastered magic, their unique genes allowed them to take on specific traits of animals with which they had bonded. As these humans continued to mix with those who did not possess these genes the gifts that came along with them grew weaker. Only those in which the genes are present and strong enough can still use these abilities.

    Ability: The user can communicate with animals telepathically. When they share a bond with a creature (must be a pet) they can use a weaker version of their pet's abilities themselves (one rank lower than what the pet has them) with weaker effects. Their pet have has 50% more HP and deals 50% more melee damage.

    Once per topic they can cause a Frenzy in which natural wildlife will assault the user's enemies.  Birds, deer, wolves, bears, you name it. This deals the user’s rank in melee damage(max S-rank) per post over the course of 4 posts. Greatly depends on the location on the type of beasts.

    Usage: Passive. Once per thread use of the frenzy ability that lasts 4 posts.


    Unique Abilities:


    • Spiritual Warrior: Mayumi's connection to the spiritual world allows her to see spirits and other unearthy beings that would usually be hidden from view. And because her equipment is also connected to this spiritual realm, she also has a 50% strength buff when facing any spiritual or undead creatures (ghosts, ghouls, zombies, etc.)
    • Warrior's Rest: Any time Mayumi is not using any of her requip equipment (armor, weapons, items, etc.) she passively regenerates 2.5% HP per post.
    • Berserk: This active ability allows Mayumi to gain a 50% strength buff at the cost of a 10% de-buff to her physical resistance, which is calculated from her defense after any and all defense buffs are applied. This ability lasts for up to 4 turns (she can deactivate it at will), with a cooldown time of one turn longer than the ability was active
    • Complete Set: All of Mayumi's equipment comes from previous users, and some of them come from the same user, and thus are part of a set (which is specified in their name.) If Mayumi uses all pieces of the same set she gains a 30% strength buff and a 30% physical resistance buff.
    • Spirit Link: Each of Mayumi's spirits in her secondary magic correspond to one of her equipment sets. If she summons a spirit at the same time she is using a piece of equipment from its corresponding set, she gains a buff! She gains a 20% magical resistance buff for each piece of corresponding armor she is wearing, a 20% strength buff for each corresponding weapon she is using, and a 20% spell damage buff for each corresponding item she is using. This can stack a maximum of 3 times. Of course, magical resistance still caps at 50%, counting this ability and any other buffs she might have.

      Description: This sword is meant to allow the user to deal as much damage as possible to their enemies.
      Appearance:

      Strengths:

      • Increases the amount of damage that the user can do.


      Weaknesses:

      • This weapon is two-handed, meaning no other weapons can be actively used at the same time as this one.


      Abilities:

      • Overpower: This passive ability gives the user a 40% strength buff
      • Rend: This active ability hits an opponent with a damage over time attack, dealing 50% advanced spell rank damage (30HP) on the initial strike and 50% advanced spell rank damage (30HP) each turn for the opponent's next four turns, for an eventual total of 150HP of damage. This can be used once per requip.

      Description: This weapon consists of two guns, with each gun dealing 50% of rank damage per hit.
      Appearance:

      Strengths:

      • Decreases the opponent's ability to dodge attacks.
      • Because there are two guns two attacks can be fired at once, with each one having to be dodged separately.


      Weaknesses:

      • Each successful attack only does 50% damage.
      • The guns must be used together, meaning this is a two-handed weapon. As such, no other weapon can be wielded actively while using this one.


      Abilities:

      • Delay: De-buffs the speed of two chosen enemies by 20%. They must be within the spell's range.
      • Fire at Will: This active ability allows the user to fire a quick barrage of six shots, three from each gun. They are all aimed in the same direction, and each successful hit deals 50% spell-rank damage (34HP). This can be used once per requip.


    • Name: Axe of Renewal (Revival Set)

      Description: Summons a magical battleaxe that not only does damage, but heals the wielder as well!

      Weaknesses:

      • The amount of damage the weapon does is reduced because of the healing effect.


      Abilities:

      • Life Drain: The wielder is passively healed by 25% of damage dealt by this weapon. This does not apply to damage dealt by its active ability.
      • Resuscitate: This active attack targets a single opponent, and must land a physical blow. It deals 90 HP of damage, and heals the member of the wielder's party with the lowest HP by 30 HP. This can be either the wielder themself, or one of their allies. This has a cooldown of 3 turns.

      Description: This weapon is used to bind opponents.

      • Can bind an opponent


      Weaknesses:

      • Does not provide any support


      Abilities:

      • Bind: This binds an opponent in place for one turn can be used once per turn, but can only be used on a specific target once per requip. The weapon must physically touch the target during an attack in order to trigger this effect, and thus can only be used if the opponent fail to dodge a physical attack.

      Description: Summons a magical armor that is focused around healing.
      Appearance:

      Strengths:

      • Healing!

      Weaknesses:

      • Shield is weak against darkness magic, and cannot heal those attacks.


      Abilities:

      • Restoration: This passive ability grants the user HP regeneration of 2.5% per turn.
      • Holy Shield: This active ability creates a shield around the user. This shield can take two hits of spell-ranked damage, and heals the user by 25% of the damage taken by the shield. However, it cannot heal damage from darkness spells. This shield lasts 2 turns, and has a cooldown of 3 turns.
