The green haired youth was traveling around Fiore after he had managed to gain his passport. He was still trying to figure out the land, but it seemed to be coming along quite nicely. And it was a perk that everyone seemed to love hearing his music. Maybe one day he will get on top and become the king of the music in these lands. Hell! This continent! If he got the world to love his music, he would simply die. He couldn't allow himself to get excited too soon. He had to work harder for his name. A grin comes on his face as he brings out his saxophone and starts playing it rather loudly as he skips down a path. He was sure he wouldn't get any crap for screaming these pitched noises as loud as he was. It took him a moment, but the moment he crossed through a threshold, he instantly felt his magic disappear.

"What...?" The musician asks himself aloud. He was clearly confused as he started to play his saxophone to bring out his little fire minions. Not seeing his precious little fire minions was met with a grumble as he pouts to himself. "Great... a magic dead zone..." He mutters and notices something up ahead. It was... a farmers market? There was a group of people who were in the middle of the road, and they all seemed to be pretty angry. He scrunches his face a bit as he goes back to using his saxophone and begun playing rather loudly, lost in his own music. That got their attention.

One of the people came up to him rather quickly, followed by another person soon after that, and then the rest of the group one after another. "You! You're a mage! We need you to do something for us!" The first one cried to him. Baird raised an eyebrow and smirks softly to himself. "Oh? You do eh? I'm not cheap... my good sir..." The man scowls and points to the field to the right of them. "There's a man there, named Mr. Jekis. Harvest season is almost here, and we're all fed up with his being able to make more produce than us! We'll pay you to burn it all to the ground!" The mage raises an eyebrow, smirking slowly. "Burn it down... eh?" He murmurs as he slowly nods. He then snickers as he holds onto his saxophone, glad that it didn't disappear when he crossed into this little farmers town, and let it hang on him as he goes over the fence to the field that the other farmers indicated. He went trampling over the crops, knowing that he'd be burning them eventually. "Hmm... lets find a good thing to use to start a fire... maybe even spread it... It's going to be a bit of work." He chuckles to himself.

Baird makes his way right to the barn and opens up the place. So far he wasn't seeing the cooky old geezer who was apparently named Mr. Jekis. He looks around. "Oh? What is this..." He grins as he sees fire starter. A big ol' container of it. A few of them actually. He noticed in the back there was about fifteen of them. "Lets get this over with..."

"Halt! You won't touch my things without my permission!" A gravely voice says right behind him. The musician looks over his shoulder and noticed the old man there. He snickers as he turns around slowly, raising an eyebrow. "Oh? What are you going to do to me if I do touch your things? Hoe me to death?" He let up a cackle as he shakes his head and walks up with a predators gaze. "My good sir... I apologize now... but this is just business." He says as he quickly yanks his saxophone to smack his face. Mr. Jekis crumples to the ground without another word. "This... is too easy..." He mumbles to himself as he grabs a container of fire starter and starts to head out to the field to pour it on some of the crops. He makes multiple trips to get all of them used, and especially uses the containers around the barn to make sure it burns up pretty good. There was a decent amount of crops already in the barn, so he figured he might as well get those as well.

"Fire... fire... Fire..." He murmurs as he looks for a match or something similar. He looks over to the wall, and snickers as he sees a torch already lit aflame. Of course. Perfect fire! He already had made a trail of the fire starter liquid from the field to the barn, and made sure that path was quite large so it would most definitely take fire, now it just needs to go off. He grabs the torch and pours the last bit of fire one of the cans of fire starter on the wall of the barn before he puts the torch against it, watching the flames lick the liquid for a minute before they caught it and the fire grew. Mr. Jekis was in the doorway of the barn, and Baird didn't feel like moving him as he takes a couple steps back to watch his work. He was glad he had changed into his green tank top and didn't have his jacket on. This was going to get hot...

After the whole barn started to catch fire, Mr. Jekis started to as well a little bit. That woke him up from being knocked out by Baird. He hazily looked about before the pain set in, in which he quickly scrambles away from the barn after realizing he was on fire. "You monster!" He shouts and Baird just snickers as he looks out over the field. It didn't take too terribly long for the field to catch, especially with all the plants and fire starter about. "Remember my name... Baird... Gonna be a great musician one day." He laughs as he turns around and starts to leave the farm casually.

The farmers who hired him were just outside the fence, watching the flames rise higher and higher. "Next time you want to burn someone's stuff... do it yourselves..." He mutters as he holds his hand out to the leader from before. He quickly put a bag of jewels in his hand and backs away, leaving the mage grinning as he was paid perfectly for the job. Not too shabby without magic, eh?
