The huge crowd of people chanting his name made Haru smirk with pride as the rocks were tossed onto the ground with a huge thud, wondering just how strong of a wind mage this guy was; Haru would nod at him. "For once I might actually have some competition." as he said this the guy would smile at him "Hey it was your choice to take the big one." for such a large guy he had a good sense of humor as Haru let off a 'hmph' as people stood all across the training grounds of the guild like some football game was happening; cheering Haru on mostly but the stranger had some people goading him on as well.
"Ahem! Okay let's try this one more time!" as Rose floated up, making a little joke the huge crowd surrounding the field would laugh as Haru even smirked a little. "Ready....set.......attack!" as soon as she began speaking her countdown, it got quiet as if out of nowhere, as Haru and the stranger Sol would ready themselves more with each count. When the take off was signaled, Haru hit the rock with a melee hit that blew a huge chunk of it off; surprising Sol who had only knocked a hole in his with the first hit.
The two of them began to hammer away as flames appeared around Haru as he hit the rock each time causing flaming rock chunks to go tumbling in a huge fancy looking array explosion that made people cheer regardless of their current safety, Sol was actually slicing his rock apart with slicing movements and kicks. The ground began to shake as the two of them intensified their assault. "Not bad kid!" he heard from his right as he only let off another classic 'hmph' from his visage through his flames and continued to hammer away at the rock.
Sol would leap back and prepare a spell; as Haru would notice this, he'd do the same. With a hand movement; a tornado dropped literally from the clouds onto Sol's rock as it began to be shredded into nothingness. Haru would see this, as he would inhale and then with a mighty exhale that sounded like an explosion; unleash Fire Dragon's Roar. It would slam into his rock and begin pulling it away into ashes as Haru's hair and scarf blew around while he literally breathed fire like a dragon.
On the opposite end of the training field his flames would curl upwards with a massive fire lick as the rock was now jet black and crumbling into ashes. When the smoke cleared, Haru's rock was much smaller, and Sol still had a small chunk of his left that Haru was sure he could crush with a kick, even though it was still the size of a large TV now. The crowd went wild as Sol would nod to Haru. They would both take off at their rocks again, the combat streaks they went into were all melee hits that literally hammered and hammered at the rocks more and more.
Getting the bright idea to just pick his rock up, Haru ran up and lifted it above his head in a dazzling display of strength as he tossed it into the air; with a leaping shoryuken Ken would be proud of as the rock fell; Haru leapt up as his fist caught on fire with a spin, hammering into his rock as it went molten from the sheer impact as flames went splashing in a beautiful net mid-air. His rock tumbled back away as he heard Sol still hammering away at his behind him; even feeling the breezes from most of his wind attacks as well through his own hair and clothes. Squaring up with a knee bend and looking at his rock; Haru's entire leg would catch fire as he delivered a literal flying kick. Unnaturally flying through the air like Liu Kang he would connect with the molten glowing rock and send it tumbling once again with another splash of flames as the crowd was all but losing their minds now at such a display of magic.
"Damn these things are tough." he'd say to himself as he leaped back from his own flying kick, using the rock as a spring as he would dash forward again; with a single leap his elbow would catch on fire and connect with the rock, sending some visible shatters through it as he wondered if he could use the point of impact he'd just made as a possible shatterpoint. Nodding to himself and going with that plan, he noticed Sol was making his rock float and slamming it into the ground with repeated wind bending; as the thuds against the ground reached his ears. Sol would move the rock in a fancy way; controlling wind with two fingers which looked kind of interesting for such a large guy; as if he were conducting wind itself. Deciding he didn't need to get distracted right now; he'd use a more powerful spell.
With a dragon roar hitting the air as if from nowhere; making people look around in surprise but then realize it was coming from Haru's fire spell that was spinning around his arm like a wild orbit as it continued to expand up his arm. Unleashing Demolition Fist upon the rock, he would literally seem to move so fast he'd vanish and then punch the rock. It would take off as if it had been hit with a giant baseball or golf club; catching flame and flying 1000ft through the air as it made peoples clothing move on the sideline; from moving so fast. If anyone had been hit by the flying rock it would have been beyond fatal. The rock would tumble, skid, and break apart a lot as it landed. Now literally smoking and glowing; as even Sol's jaw dropped at what he'd just seen. Taking a break from hitting his own rock. Looking back at him, Haru only gave him a badass smirk like only he could in response to him actually getting distracted.
This angered Sol who was still holding his rock up behind him with wind magic with one hand. Clenching that hand; his wind reacted by forming into blasts of wind that struck the rock from all directions randomly; hammering it faster and faster. Haru would realize he was getting serious now and decide he'd use an even stronger spell than before. Worrying only briefly about the people watching, he figured out a way he could use it without turning everyone to ashes. He'd just come from above. With a singular leap; Haru leaped so high that he was practically out of view in the sun and the clouds. Closing his eyes, and looking at the now smaller houses below him briefly before hand; he would begin his freefall as his entire arm caught flame again, only this time the flames took on the shape of a dragon wing. Plummeting, the roar from above actually scared some people who took off leaving Fairy Tail as a whole as fast as they could as Haru fell.
Sol was concentrating even harder on his rapid wind blast spell, now holding both hands out toward his rock as Haru fell. He knew if the kid hit before his rock was rubble, he might lose. Falling now, faster, and faster still. Haru could see and feel Sol's spellpower increasing; with a simple Rocket spell, a blast of flames from his feet sent him like a missile out of nowhere back down to the guilds training grounds. Punching his rock point blank with Fire Dragon King's Iron Fist, his entire section of the training ground went up in a huge vertical blast of fire as his rock literally turned completely black and then pulled away into ashes as his fist connected with it. The flames would spiral upward into the air in the shape of a dragon before vanishing with a roar on the wind. With his rock gone, the crowd went absolutely nuts as they chanted his name with a "Haru! Haru! Haru!" as he realized Sol was just now shattering his rock with a final wind blast.
With a turn, as he realized the crowd was cheering for his opponent, who's rock was gone. Sol looked surprised and then humbled. "My first loss in my entire travels....I certainly came to the right place." he would say this as he would hold out a fist. With a fistbump toward him after walking up, Haru would nod silently as people yelling and talking was enough noise already. He settled for smirking at Sol as he'd had fun just now. For some reason, Sol felt inclined to deliver advice out of nowhere to the fire mage.
"Remember, don't hold stuff in. Let it out and you'll feel a lot better. Live honestly." as his words reached him, Haru nodded. "When I do, I usually get in a lot of trouble." with that, Sol and Haru would share a small chuckle and then a handshake would be shown as Rose would nod. "Where to next Sol?" she asked him as she floated down to the mysterious challenger with a blonde mustache. "I was thinking of this metal in Ca-Elum, supposedly can't be broken." he nodded to the cat while stroking his mustache like only a gentleman could. "Let me guess...you're going there to break it." Rose stated as only she could. With a nod, Sol would talk once more. "Correct my lovely feline friend." as he said this, Rose would blush a little but nod.
"Maybe you could stay here after you get back, if you need a job; the guild might accept you. I'd vouch for your skill. Become an official mage. Join us." as he said this, Sol got somewhat emotional visibly with a smile as he'd nod to Haru. "When my travels are done....I'd be honored to join a famous guild like this....I wonder how many tests of might I could find on real Jobs." he would say this as Rose would finish for him. "You'd be surprised." Haru would nod in agreement.
Briefly, they'd say their goodbyes at the front of the guild as Haru would stretch and flex his knuckles. "What an afternoon." he'd say mostly to himself as he watched the day go by again as he'd been doing before; just standing in the front lawn on the guild. For some reason, he felt like seeing Leila; so he wandered off inside of the guild in search of the neko warrior, just to lay eyes on her if he could and see if there was anything he could do to annoy her in a good way.
