    Panda for President! [Job, Private]

Post by Darcour on 14th April 2018, 11:22 pm

The starry night sky lay open above Darc as he strolled along the sidewalk in the city of Era, the location of his newest and most anticipated job in a while. The job was fairly straightforward: the assassination of the two frontrunners in the current ambassador elections. Darc wasn't really one to typically pay too much attention to politics, finding nearly every subject the leeches deemed important to be dry as a bone, and borderline polished shit.

Due to his passionate hatred of all things political, Darc almost always gladly accepted political assassinations without much question. This time though, due to who the two most "Qualified" candidates were, he was very nearly considering simply killing them himself without a contract. Tonald Drump, and Cillary Hlinton. Darc couldn't believe that either of them had actually made it as far as they had, and would happily bet every last jewel he'd ever earned that the only real reason they had made it as far as they had, was due to some well concealed underhanded tactics. And hell, it didn't take a genius to realize that it was possible, just common sense.

He couldn't for the life of him figure out how anyone would think that either of them were good candidates for picking up dog shit, let alone becoming the freakin' ambassador of a country. And yet, somehow, the both of them had managed to gather something of a following in the people of Era. However, there were many more still who would rather have a freakin' panda for the country's ambassador if that said anything.

Ironically enough though, if the two frontrunners in the election managed to no longer be in said election, the people might actually have a panda for their ambassador. Due to how many people have actually been putting a panda named Seijin, a local zoo favorite, as their choice for ambassador, if both Drump and Hlinton were no longer options, the panda would in fact win. A fact that was truly amusing to Darc.

And due to the fact that he was the one to pick up the assassination request, it would most likely soon be a reality.

Darc figured this wouldn't be the easiest assassination contract he'd ever fulfilled, but not impossible. And most importantly, it would provide him with some much needed excitement. And though the two were far from decent people, or genuine and moral politicians, they still had managed to attract quite the following. As such, Darc had no doubt that he would have more than a few guards to make it through before he could even consider taking out either of the targets.

So that meant stealth would be his primary tool, as was the case in most political assassinations. He had to be quiet, otherwise the whole of Era law enforcement would be on his tail in mere moments.

As Darc approached the polling station, he scanned the streets and sidewalks. Very few people were out and about, though at this hour that wasn't much of a surprise. Most people were either at home in bed, or out drinking, which made this all the easier for him.

He was roughly five meters from the front doors to the polling station, and through the doors, he could glimpse one guard sitting behind the front desk, head bowed, most likely focused on some type of book or device. With one of the two guards that were always stationed at the front desk gone, it would make this even easier. Darc could take out the first one, and wait for the second to come back. With the two front desk guards taken out, any early warning the rest of the potential guards would have would be gone.

Moments later, Darc was entering through the front doors. Without looking up, the guard said, "We're closed. You'll have to come back in the morning." His tone displaying exactly how bored he was to be there, like he was practically on the verge of passing out from sheer boredom.

"Yeah, I know. I'm so sorry," Darc said, putting on an apologetic face, sheepish grin and all as he continued walking towards the desk, "But you see, I completely forgot to place my vote earlier today, and I'll be too busy to do it tomorrow." He said, the perfect apologetic facade plastered on Darc's face.

The guard sighed as he looked up from whatever had been keeping his attention, sticking Darc with a deadpan stare, "I'd really appreciate it if you would just let me put in my vote. I promise I'll be fast. I'll be done in no time."

The guard gave a heavy sigh as he rolled his eyes at Darc, saying, "Fine. Just make it quick." And then immediately returned to stare back at the book Darc could now see as he stood at the front desk.

Darc grabbed one of the voters' slips from the many large stacks of the forms sitting on the counter, and a pen from one of the many cups sitting on the counter to his right. On the form he saw the two candidates, Drump and Hlinton, with a blank box next to either of their names. But instead of placing a check in either of those boxes, Darc put in a new option, drawing in a new box, and writing the name Seijin in next to it. He then checked the box next to Seijin, but instead of dropping the form into one of the many voters boxes, Darc glanced back up to the guard, "Sir," He said, drawing out another sigh from the guard as he glanced back up at Darc, "Can you check this out for me? I just want to make sure I've done this all correctly. It's a bit embarrassing, but this is the first time I've voted for anyone."

Darc had plastered another very convincing sheepish smile on his face, looking slightly ashamed at what he had just said. "You'd be surprised how often I actually hear that." The guard said before standing up out of his chair and leaning over the counter to glance at the form Darc had filled out. However, before he could say or do anything else, Darc made his move. He lithely vaulted over the counter, quickly placing himself behind the bewildered guard, who's reaction time was far too slow to do anything more than look stunned.

Darc quickly grabbed the man from behind, placing his left arm over the man's chest and grasping his right shoulder, while Darc's right hand gripped the man's chin. With a yank of his right arm, and a flick of his wrist he cleanly snapped the guard's neck, killing him instantly. Without skipping a beat, Darc grabbed the now dead guard's body and quietly lowered it to the ground before shoving him under the desk out of view.

Darc could hear footsteps echoing from the hallway to the left of the front desk, which led to some conference rooms as well as the elevators. Darc quickly concealed himself under the second cuby next to the first beneath the front counter, which currently housed the dead guard. He pulled the chair closer to him to further hide his presence, then waited for the guard to round the corner.

Sure enough, just seconds later a similarly dressed guard rounded the corner, adjusting his tie as he said, "Sorry it took me so long bud. Apparently those beans I had earlier did not agree with me. Huh?" The man stopped surprised that his coworker wasn't at his desk, or anywhere in plain sight. Darc silently watched the man as he approached the desk, waiting for the prime moment to spring his trap. "Don?" He said once more as he glanced around the small lobby area, trying to find his coworker, before shrugging his shoulders as he most likely figured the other guard had simply wandered off.

Darc gave the man an unseen deadpan stare, This is going to be a fucking cakewalk apparently. I guess it helps that these guys don't have a shred of respect for the people they're supposed to be guarding. Otherwise they wouldn't be so nonchalant about security. He thought as the guard came closer to the desk, which is when the man's poorly developed sense of danger apparently finally kicked in. Darc figured the guy finally got a glimpse of the state of some of the other guard's items on the desk, which had been knocked a little askew in the small struggle earlier.

"Don?" The guard said again, this time sounding much more worried. It was right about then Darc could tell he had finally gotten a glimpse of the body; the man's body went stock-still, he could see one of the guard's hands trembling and heard him whisper out the other man's name one last time, "Don?!" He watched the guard cautiously approach his dead partner; Darc could hear the man's breathing escalate tremendously, as his mind tried to grasp what was going on.

Now. Darc thought as he silently pushed the chair away from his hiding spot, the well-greased wheels on the bottoms of the legs making hardly any sound whatsoever, but he doubted the man would have reacted either way seeing as his mind was still reeling from the shock of seeing his fellow guard dead. Darc quietly pulled himself out of his hiding spot then simply walked up behind the man.

Something must have finally registered to the new guard, because as Darc approached him from behind, he saw the guard's body tense, but it was too late for him to do anything. Darc was already behind him. He grabbed the man, placing one hand over the man's mouth to keep him from shouting for help, as he wrapped his other arm around the guard's neck and squeezed. With the guard's windpipe cut off, he removed his hand from the man's mouth, twisting his arm to latch over the forearm of the arm crushing the man's throat, then gripped the top of the guard's head with his free hand, placing the guard in a choke hold.

Seconds later, the guard was passing out. Which is when he gave one last good flex of his right arm wrapped around the throat, feeling the windpipe collapse. With a hard yank he also broke the man's neck, just for good measure.

With the frontmen taken care of, Darc turned to the desk, searching for anything that could be of use to him. That's when he found the archive lacryma, portable lacryma which held a mage's power of archive, something that many businesses were starting to use due to its many uses for such things. Darc figured, if anything, the archive lacryma could tell him what he needed to know, and he certainly wasn't disappointed.

When he activated the lacryma by swiping a hand in front of it, he quickly found the personnel folder, which held a detailed description of all personnel that worked within the building, from the simple janitors, to the big wigs. And at this moment, he counted eight that were listed on-duty in the system. The first two were the front desk security guards which he'd already taken care of. Four more were classified as patrol detail, and the final two were the personal bodyguards. Though from their files, he doubted they knew what guarding actually was seeing as they often caused more trouble for their clients then the ones actually trying to cause them harm.

"Damn. This is going to be too easy." He said to himself as he sifted through the folders till he found the vision file, linking him to the video lacryma placed throughout the building. "Now, let's see where everybody is hiding." He said as he sifted through the dozens of video lacryma links. Most of them showed nothing more than empty hallways, but a few minutes later, he had all the links pulled up on the screen which showed all the remaining personnel working in the building as well as the two candidates.

It was fairly straightforward: One of the patrolmen was making his way down to the first floor from the second, most likely due to the snack room being down here, while the other was currently patrolling the easternmost hallway. And then on the third floor one patrollmen was currently scouting the southernmost hallway, while the last one was near the westernmost wall. And lastly, the bodyguards were in the respective rooms with their clients, which looked none too happy.

He gave a little smirk, "Don't worry, Drump, Hlinton. You won't have to deal with them for much longer." With that, he closed the video file, and shut down the lacryma. And with the locations of the remaining guards fresh in his mind he left to head off the first one.

The first of the patrollmen went down easily enough. Darc simply waited for him outside of the elevator he'd seen the man going for. When the doors had opened, he hadn't even given the man a chance to properly react. Some well-placed blows to the man's stomach, kidneys and throat, and a snap of the neck saw the man lying dead in the elevator. The second one went much the same way. Except he hadn't had to search for the patrolman, he'd been standing in front of the doors to the elevator Darc was currently using.

Before the guard could register what was going on, or the dead body in the elevator Darc had already sprung on the man, landing a jab on the man's throat first. He then crouched and spun, sweeping the man's legs out from beneath him. As the guard hit the floor, Darc was already on top of him, crushing his throat with one of his knees while he landed a couple more blows to the man's gut.

A few moments later, Darc was pulling the now dead guard into the elevator and setting him with the other. One minute later, Darc was walking out of the elevator onto the third floor, and that's when things started to get fun. He could hear two voices chatting around the corner of the hallway to his right, leading to the southernmost portion of the floor. This meant he would have to take the two of them out at the same time. Not too hard, seeing how quickly their fellow guards had went down. Or perhaps they would put up more of a fight. He certainly hoped so, because he was beginning to feel a bit let down.

Darc simply strolled down the hallway, listening to the voices get louder till he could tell they were directly around the corner ahead of him. As Darc approached the corner, he flattened himself against the wall and barely peeked around the corner wanting to get a glimpse of the two patrollmen to see if he could get the jump on them. However, right as he looked around the corner, one of the two agents had just turned to start walking in Darc's direction. As such, he immediately caught a glimpse of Darc and shouted, "Freeze, stop right there! Who are you?!"

A wicked grin spread across Darc's face as he darted around the corner towards the agents before they could do anything else. He lept into the air and twisted, throwing out a leg and landing a blow on the side of the other guard's head, the one that had barely begun to turn around, then sent him sprawling into the first guard that had shouted. The two agents slammed into the wall but managed to recover fairly quickly. However, Darc was already in action; sweeping the legs out from under the second agent, then spinning to land kick at the first agent's knee. It wasn't strong enough to break the man's leg, but definitely strong enough to buckle the agent to the ground in serious pain.

Darc didn't give either of them any time to recover, landing a punch into the side of the first agent's face with enough force to leave him sprawled on the ground. Immediately after that Darc shot to the ground, landing on top of the second agent, placing his left knee into the man's back, while keeping his right foot on top of the agent's right hand. Darc slammed his fist into the side of the agent's face, then grabbed the man's head with both of his hands and violently twisted it, snapping his neck.

He got up from the now dead agent and turned his gaze towards the first agent, who was attempting to get away, but could barely manage to slide his body across the ground. "Pathetic." Darc said, his tone laced with the anger glowing in his eyes now as he approached the man. The agent attempted to plead with Darc, but his words were cut off as Darc slammed a foot down onto the already injured knee, feeling it snap. And before the agent could cry out, he crouched and placed a hand over the agent's mouth, gripping him tight.

"Don't beg." Darc said, "It just makes you look even more drooling and pathetic than you already are. At least die with dignity." Darc punched him three times after that in the throat, crushing it, then got up, leaving the man to suffocate to death.

Well, that was anticlimactic. He thought in agitation as he continued down the hall towards the two offices which housed his targets, and the last two guards he would have to face. He considered drawing the fight out with those two as much as he could, but at this point, he just wanted to kill the two targets he was actually being paid to kill, and be done with it. That meant getting rid of the two brutes as quickly as he could.

The first office he came to was Cillary Hlinton's. As he approached he could hear a woman's voice coming through the door, which didn't surprise him, seeing as it was her's. But he stopped once he heard the undeniable voice of Tonald Drump coming from the room as well. Unfortunately he couldn't hear anything else besides their arguing, so he couldn't tell if the brutes were also in the room without giving his position away or any chance of a surprise attack. All he could hear was more of their typical pointless name calling drabble.

Fuck it. I'll just take them out and be done with it if their guards really aren't in there. And if they are, so be it. I'm ready to get out of here. It's been so fucking boring. He thought, then opened the door. When he walked into the large office, he first saw the two brutes sitting on a couch to his left playing what appeared to be Go Fish with each other, then to his right he saw the two ambassador candidates standing across from each other in the typical argumental fashion. Everyone stopped what they were doing when they finally registered that they didn't recognize the newcomer amongst them.

He took the moment of uncertainty to get a head start. He walked over towards the two guards, and before anyone could do or say anything, he picked up the coffee table they were using for their card game and sent it flying towards Hlinton and Drump. After that he spun and kicked the brute on the right in his face, feeling the man's nose break beneath his foot. Darc then had to jump backwards as a fist from the brute on the left swung at him. He twisted, dodging to the left as the same guard that had swung at him came charging straight for him.

As Darc came out of his spin, he crouched and shot his elbow backwards into the brute's side as he passed by. He heard the man gasp in pain a bit, but knew that would hardly be enough to stop him. At this point, the first guard he'd kicked in the nose was snapping out of his pain, only for Darc to land a punch right on the brute's freshly broken nose, followed immediately by a blow to the man's balls. Darc could feel the other guard approaching from behind, the brute's large form making the ground shake as he ran towards them.

Darc slid out of the way just in time to let the charging guard slam into the one in agony on the couch. It was then that Darc glimpsed his two targets trying to make a run for it. He ran towards them, and when close enough he lept into the air; rotating his body sideways Darc lowered his left leg, swinging his right around and land a kick directly into Tonald Drump's face. The kick sent Drump flying backwards a few feet before he was sprawled out flat on the ground grabbing his face in pain. As Darc landed from his kick, without skipping a beat he crouched and spun backwards, landing an elbow in Cillary Hlinton's stomach, completely knocking the air out of her and lifting her off her feet. He let her thud to the ground as he returned his attention to the brutes.

As the guard he'd elbowed earlier came rushing at him, he quickly crouched then shot a punch directly at the man's balls, sending him crashing to his knees, grabbing his balls in pain with a grimace on his face, "That's a low blow." He managed to gasp out.

"Who said I had to be honorable?" Darc responded, then grabbed the man by the back of his head and proceeded to slam his knee into the man's face three times, the last one sending him falling backwards onto the ground. Darc was sure that the man was on the verge of death with multiple blows by the knee to the face, but just to be sure, he then walked around and slammed his foot directly down onto the brute's throat.

Darc turned his attention to the other guard, who was only just then finally managing to get up off the couch, but only barely. He stumbled towards Darc, only to have Darc grab the punch sent his way. He ducked and rotated around the man's side, twisting the arm he held as he did causing the man to lurch forward, just in time for Darc to send a kick at his face followed by bringing his elbow down on the back of the brute's, snapping his arm in half. Darc grabbed the guard's chin as he fell, lifting him up a bit just before sending a knee into his gut and finally stepping sideways as he let the man fall to the ground, but not before slamming his elbow into the back of the man's neck, feeling the vertebrae snap.

Finally, with the last two guards taken care of, he could finish his job. The two ambassador candidates, Cillary Hlinton, and Tonald Drump were already in bad shape just from a couple of hits, so this would be over quickly. He first walked over to the woman, who was coughing as she shakily lifted herself up off of the ground, but soon Darc's foot was connecting with the side of her face in a kick with enough force to snap her neck cleanly in two. As the woman's body dropped dead to the ground, he turned his attention to Drump.

He was currently blinking dazedly as he tried to pick himself up off the ground, his face blanched in fear, sweat pouring down his disgusting face as he sputtered inconsequential threats and pleas simultaneously. Such was the type of pathetic, driveling fool that was Tonald Drump. A "man" of small stature, that thought himself practically on the verge of god-like importance and presence. A poor excuse of a human to say the least, and that was Darc being kind.

"Do you know who I am?" Said the fool as he finally scrambled to his feet.

"Of course I do. Which is why I'll take immense pleasure in this."

"Wait!" The fool said in response, but could say no more as Darc grabbed him by the shirt and tugged him forward while slamming his knee in Drump's stomach, knocking the wind out of him and lifting him off his feet. Darc then punched the man several times in the face before swinging him around and slamming him into the wall. Darc kicked him in the gut, then spun around, connecting the heel of his right foot with the side of Drump's jaw.

Drump slammed into the ground, barely moving at this point, "Die, you miserable, pathetic, waste of space." Darc said as he walked over to Drump and slammed his foot into the back of his neck.

With his job done, he wasted no more time in the office. Mere moments later, Darc was back where he'd started, at the front desk. There he grabbed his voters card he had filled out in the beginning, and finally placed it in the slot of one of the many voters' boxes, successfully placing his vote for Seijin like many others. And without further ado, casually walked out of the building like he hadn't just committed several murders.
