    Lester Drynedi ❀ Crystal Swan

    ❀B Rank Exam❀

    A week of hardships, those days spent with the blusters of frozen winds of Clover Town, whilst his reason for the venture was valid Lester had little pleasure in the trip home. His elder sibling having been taken under the wings of his parents, as a young child his future had been undetermined. Living with Grandparents after showing an aptitude for flora many had thought the pale daisy would bloom into another Drynedi florist. The days with his grandparents although not particularly luxurious had been one which shaped him, his life with the elderly couple teaching him more than he would have thought possible had he stayed on the family farm. Whilst he in no regards disliked the farm in any way there was this vague idea of preferring the quiet cottage life of his floral elderly guardians. The scents of certain chemicals and powers lingered on all of their clothing, it was something which often sparked a flurry of memories when he came across that sharp acidic Grandfatherly scent. Almost taunting, a book left unread to him, for many years the elusive grandfather merely graced his presence a few times a day, not a close bond yet he still felt comforted around the elderly male. Soft plush pancakes in the morning, syrup drizzled over, honey from a variety of flowers. Breakfasts were him and his grandmother tasting each batched of honey layered over a variety of dishes. Even as time passed the elderly man would hardly change his morning meals, slices of apple would always balance precariously on the edge of the plate, which would be loaded with plain and simplistic foods. The sort of meal a mother would threaten her child with, Lester found it interesting to try and understand his Grandfather. Grandfather, the man who had eaten a breakfast of plain bread and simplistic cheese, to the child Lester was it had seemed rather baffling. Eating such simple meals when one had the option of consuming something great.

    Perhaps it was this childhood which sparked a inner interest within Lester, the mind which he had became curious about what he was, to be more precise he started looking more into the human mind and brain. Thoughtful as always, he apprehended to be more outgoing and sociable, interacting with people to great lengths, asking many questions, often interpreted as him being energetic and a ‘bubbly child’ it was merely a hobby. Discovering more for himself about society and humans there was a great amount of time spent figuring out how his Grandfather thought. Yet it was after discovering the thought pattern of his guardian that Lester realized why he was so interested in the brain and mind. He figured that it would have been passed down genetically, that craving for information and facts. Days spend finding hiding places for notes, replacing floorboards over journals and diaries of records, records of how people reacted to things. Broadening his understanding of the world around him, whilst studying the functions of the human brain he had started to learn from his Grandparents, the floristry trade was far more delicate and precise than may assumed at first, a flower could not be simply plucked up and stuck into a vase. Catered to him a program regarding the growth of different plants was what the main course of his education consisted of, splattered with economy, math, other subjects such as history and literature were not forgotten as he attended school. The placement of every branch, the use of ferns and flax to illuminate certain species of flower. It wasn’t just about the blossoming buds, large or small leaves every plant could be used to bring forth emotions or feeling from an arrangement. An art of sorts, morning and evenings, time spent between school and tutor sessions peering over seeds and books, taking notes on the reactions he got from people whilst coaxing a flower to grow to its fullest. Banishing bugs and critters who hoped to consume his creations. It was a time of plentiful information. Years of learning and development he had matured and come into himself, yet it was during that time that his spark had died, Grandfather had been the man who had started his interested in people, the elderly man had caused him to wonder about the inner minds of people. After the elderly males death his Grandmother felt as if staying in the cottage would do neither of them good, as she had been there to assist his research which would be left unfinished there was need for a new location. Closer to town, or rather it was more in town. The second time he moved house they purchased a small little place. It was the one his grandmother currently lived in, a small living space and home. Although it held ample space for their craft and a store front as a youth he adapted to living above a store and assisting his Grandmother in the production, growth and selling of various boutiques.

    It hadn’t been until he had thought about himself that Lester’s mind had processed the changes of his childhood, his evolution one might say, the metamorphosis from his childhood rubble self to the smile plastered overtop which appeared just as natural. Perhaps it was his Grandfather, the elderly male certainly had an impact yet looking back it was possible that the man had just nudged the younger one towards his tendencies. His life had been set on a path, the envy that he had cast towards his siblings due to their steady set future careers had been smoothed away as the label of a trainee florist had been attached to the youth, whilst trainee soon turned into apprentice then fully trained the smooth life carried on. Flowers tended to grow well around him, the youth was noted to have a green thumb and a good hand with flowers. Grandmother had noted it at first, the odd way that plant organisms grew well around him, over time it had evolved and come through, the natural talent for magic from his ancestors which lay within. Although not major his Grandmother kept a keen eye on his progress, the inner talent he held mostly unknown to the child as he focused on his learning. A oddity indeed, almost too coincidental through, a child of florists descent holding the power of flowers inside him. Several times it had been mentioned to him, vague story books of adventuring mages cropped up, wall scrolls depicting great heroes and wonderful sly comments by his Grandmother were made, he knew as it was clear, her intentions for him to follow the path of a wandering mage, fighting as a career. Home, his had been moved earlier in time after the passing of his Grandfather, although it was small and a little cold, the wood creaked in places and it could do with some more paint, in the center of town and rather noisy. He quite liked it, the florists store was quaint, it had built up a good reputation amongst patrons and fellow business owners in the area. His own patch, the surrounding streets were his to wander ad claim without worry of drama starting, it had reminded him of the farm almost, how no one would bother him when he was younger as the farm was large enough to keep small time thieves and bandits away. Although as a child he had patrolled the road outside, with thoughts of how strong he was and that the evil bandits were scared off by a child of no more than six years.

    Certainly it had an impact, the consistent messages sent to him of adventure and wonder, the idea of travelling. Whilst those around him encouraged Lester to travel as a mage, to help those around him and contribute to the society and community it was something else which pulled him towards leaving. Despite the comfort and warmth of a safe florists career the opportunity to become a mage of sorts was alluring, if he stayed Lester knew he would only interact with patrons of the shop. A continuous stream of people whom were similar in so many ways, the regular customers who got far too boring in their thought patterns he already had begun to understand them to a level that he felt to be unnecessary. Yet that spark, the spice which it could bring into his life, the mints and herbs, the garnish on a meal, the opportunity and possibility of all the individual minds he could come across. It really was an essential treat to his life. Yet that spark, the spice which it could bring into his life, the mints and herbs, the garnish on a meal, the opportunity and possibility of all the individual minds he could come across. It really was an essential treat to his life. The way he lived life, each day was focusing on what he could learn and take away from it, each day was spent analyzing the different people around him. A balance of sorts, Les had agreed to go into the world for a short while and explore, to wander the streets and roads between villages and cities. It was nice for sure, he enjoyed it as many a time took small jobs on his travels to gain more coin, as although he had savings it would benefit him to increase what he had stored. Missions didn't fit, it was hardly a job either, yet one came to his mind. A farmer asking for a hand in the fields. A day of hard work transported him to his childhood. Coming from a family of farmers and a training in floristry and plant growth the hard day of work presented a nice moment in time, he spent the day covered in sweat, muscles strained as he moved. Yet at the end of the day he had collapsed happily, that muscular ache deep in his bones, the sign that he had worked hard. It was so relaxing in a way, as if comforted by the pain, a consistent memory of his work over the day. Yet that evening he had reflected, sitting with the farmer on the porch, a drink in hand he had looked over the progress, despite only travelling to smaller villages and towns he felt as if it wasn't too bad, time well spent was the common saying that applied to his exploits. He found himself almost wishing for more, as we travelled to new areas and regions the cultures changed slightly, each different place thought differently. Wandered Even further, meandering until he came across larger and larger places of gathering, dragged into a guild. He had fallen in with a guild, that had secured his life, the florists scissors laid to rest.

    The jobs varied, people varied, his ideas about the world had changed over time. A small series of journals had build up. Each one with a few alphabet letters in, people's names stacking up, vague notes and descriptions scrawled in borders. Mentions of certain characteristics added in odd obscure hues of ink.  He had evolved so much, it was as he looked back on his growth that Lester really began to understand what he had become, how he had changed indeed.Perhaps there were point in time that he could mark out his changes, his dog passing away, going to live with Grandparents, Grandfather’s death, then travelling and that job. Perhaps that had changed him. It was certainly where his interest in research started. When that plague like oddity had spread its claws across the village of beanstalk and its surroundings. He had spent time with the older woman there, looking into the plague and how it affected flora, messing with the oddities of a plant. It had intrigued him, the discovery of something new which was so similar to his fascination with people, yet this new idea, this idea of plant research. A plague that he could control, that could be controlled and manipulated. That next trip back to his Grandmother's florist store had been about his Grandfather, time spent watching dust settle. Pages turning softly, the odd ones ripping slightly, folded corners. His Grandfather's notes, similar to his own about human natures they were comments about flora and plant growth. Experiments at times hinting towards the testing of new plants. The effects of plants on the human, more specifically on the human mind, although his grandfather had only briefly touched upon it the notes, yes that had been the start of something new. A neural revolution. With that new interest, and a greenhouse on board the Crystalli it had constantly called to him. Just one plant, just one then a few more. Just one plant had become one bed, one row of plants became a section then an entire room. The tainted plants from that job had been tested upo, experimented with. Of course it was hard to find a way to test the effects. It was okay now. He could sort his life out, just figure out how he could run it all.

    ~~~~~~~~
    Of course it wouldn’t do to worry about that too much, his teammates, partners perhaps? No no they were friends, proper friends. They were people he was comfortable around and wouldn’t look into too much. It was okay if he didn’t fully understand them. Massaging his temples the youths daisy like hair fluttered with a shake of his head. Those thoughts were useless now, they needed to be categorized away so he could focus on the present. Feet stumbled, fluffy socks sliding down a little as his arms released a flood wave of blankets and pillows onto the warmly lit floor. Soft lighting lit up the sparsely decorated observatory, they tumbled down, forming an odd pile from the weirdest shaped pillow. Perhaps his little frog pillow would be in there, his matching pajamas soft and plush, the green material not needing to ward off the winter's frost despite their altitude in the ship. Dusk settled across the sky, darkened areas of the sky revealing small stars poking through the smooth blanket of sky that shone around the glass ceiling and walls. Would it be okay? A sleepover had been placed, something he hadn’t doe before, crates he had stacked earlier sat in the corner, soft scents of bread waving out from one. A flower, lost little flower in a field of crops it felt out of place, unsure of what to do or how to grow he simply went with the way the wind blew him. Arms tired, hauling crates up many stairs had passed under his feet whilst arms had been heavily laden with box. Froggy hood falling off as the air dragged it back, his weight lifted off for a moment as he dropped backwards the ceiling rising up further away before the bedding and pillows below supported him. Staring at the ceiling after flopping back to the mound of softness Lester's slight smile broaden slightly. Would this, would this evening go okay? He had left Val back in his room probably, it felt so quiet and empty. Yet after the rush and bustle of setting this little night of fun up the relaxed evening was welcomed, he could slowly watch the sun set until friends arrived, too tired, a lack of energy kept him laying in the mound of pillows, flour still caught i the lies of his hands. Softly closing his eyelids fluttered shut, a flower closing up for the night almost, short naps, resting for a moment's breath wouldn’t hurt. The watermelon hues hidden from sight as breathing slowed into a soft rhythm.
    Lester really should know better than to get too quiet and relaxed in an environment not yet Theo-ified. The young man rushed up the stairs to the observatory, dressed for sleep but very far from being calm enough to do so. Theo was ridiculously excited to spend time with his friends doing an activity he'd always heard was normal for young people, but had never actually taken part in himself. He was dressed simply, wearing a loose white T-shirt and gold coin patterned shorts. He even had some house slippers shaped like dragon feet, which actually caused him to fall a few times going up the stairs, but would not deter him from wearing them since they matched the oversized dragon plush in his arms that doubled as his pillow. His ever present scarf was tied around his calf instead of his neck, proving that he really didn't go anywhere without it for some undisclosed reason.
    The scent of bread thrilled him, and soon he was nearly sprinting on limbs his body seemed unfamiliar with into the room Lester had so carefully set up for the event. The aforementioned slippers muffled his chaotic steps enough that he didn't disturb the boy sprawled in the pile of pillows, and the view took his breath away to keep him from whooping out some sort of alarming noise. The glass walls and ceiling offered a sight so ethereal that it could hush even someone as spastic as Theo into reverent silence. However, the laws of chaos forbade him from staying that way for too long, so after a few silent moments, he was on the move again.
    Creeping toward the center of the room, he observed Lester. Oh Lester, laying there so peacefully, eyes shut. The vision of restfulness, like a pastel angel on heaven's cloud. Was he asleep? ...Did he dare do such a thing even while anticipating Theo's arrival? Grinning, the treasure hunter crept forward with all the skill of someone aiming to silently move through a cave of booby traps. Once within range, he sprang forward, landing in the pile next to his friend and rolling toward him, probably way into his personal space but not seeming to consider it. "How'ya doin', Les~?" grinned the black-haired boy, placing his dragon pillow on Lester as if there was no reason why he wouldn't want to cuddle it. Theo didn't share his precious items with just anyone, after all.
    "Come on Lily! We're going to be late!" Rin cried, running as quickly as she could towards her destination. Lester had gone to the trouble of hosting a sleeping event in his home, and she was going to be late! "Rin, dear! You need to be careful! Not only are you more clumsy when running, but it's night time! Watch where you're going!" Lily called after her, not able to keep up with Rin's quick pace. "Yeah, yeah, yeah!" Rin grumbled back, bursting through the door of the building Lester had specified for them to meet in. "Stairs..." she sighed, still out of breath from the running she had just done to get here. In front of her was a decent amount of stairs, and it looked like she was going to have to climb them.
    Taking a deep breath, she began to sprint up the mountain of steps, her logic telling her that the faster she ran up them, the less effort it would be. "Rin! You're going to-!" Before Lily could finish her sentence, Rin's foot clumsily stepped on the tail of the kitty onesie she was wearing, causing her to fall face first to the ground. "Trip..." Lily finished, placing a paw on her forehead. Looking up, Rin noticed that her bunny-cat companion wasn't the only one who had witnessed her fall. Two sets of eyes were staring back at her, looking a bit confused. Chuckling nervously, Rin got up and dusted herself off, her face turning a bright shade of red. She had decided to wear something comfortable to the sleeping event, so she chose the gray kitty onesie that Lily had convinced her to buy. Although it seemed to be causing her more trouble than it was worth. In an attempt to keep her long, pink hair out of her eyes, she managed to pull it up into piggy-tails, with the help of her furry friend, of course. Though after the fall she had just taken, a few strands had managed to free themselves from the ties they were formerly restrained with.
    "A-Ah... I'm so sorry for being late! I hope I didn't disturb you!" Rin blurted, bowing to her friends several times. Standing up straight once more, she looked around the room for the first time. The view was absolutely stunning, and Lester seemed to have done quite a bit of work to prepare this event. Was it really so important? "So, are we starting now? I-I know I can beat you guys at sleeping any day! Haha..." She challenged nervously. Rin had no idea what a sleepover was, and just guessed that it was some sort of sleeping competition between friends. "Though Lester seems to have gotten a head start... That's not fair!" She pouted, moving forward to sit next to her friends. Lily followed, snickering with amusement. Looking to her in confusion, Rin's pout only seemed to become more prominent. "W-Why are you laughing? Did I say something weird?" She questioned, not getting what was so funny. "D-Don't leave me out of the joke!"
    ❀B Rank Exam❀
    Quiet time, it was nice. Drifting back and forth from a state of light sleeping to partially being awake, a solar system forming above him with the darkening skies and soft scents dancing a lullaby across his face. Perhaps it would be okay to sleep for just a short while. A bounce, a call of movement, the motion of another body falling besides him. Jolted up his back and disrupting his spine, more than a few moments later and his mind was still bleary, a slow startup on a early winters morning. Warmth and peace, the lure of a good rest, invitations of a longer sleep. tightly fixed close, as if he was forcing the curtains across his eyes to never open despite the warm body mass besides him. How was he doing? The question seemed foolish to answer, pretending to sleep would be the ideal opti- plushie. A soft squishy. Squish squish. Eyes still remained close as his arms snaked around the dragon plushie, it bounced slightly, softness. Plushie squish. Rolling onto his side the youths legs drew up, curling with slow movements his body contorted around Smaug. Content at last, happy to continue his premature sleep Lesters mind wavered, that scent and the plushie meant Theo, energetic and wonderful. Yet could he handle the enthusiasm which a treasure hunter brought to the pillow pile? oh no he could remain resting, remain relaxed in the pile of pillows.
    Those thoughts had kept him happily relaxed until a disturbance came, it came in the form of a familiar sound, and motion. The sliding of a foot caught of fabric, a bodily thump of a human colliding with the flat surface of the floor. One eye peeled open, his gaze zoning in on a scene which was exactly as expected, if Theo had given him a plushie then who else would clatter to the floor in an awkward sounding puddle. His eyes took a few breaths to open, the slow mechanical movements of them widening, drawing back as if chains pulled them apart. Fabric melted on the floor, some sort of gray animal worn by a person too small for it, ears indicating some feline or canine intentions behind the design of the night clothes. He noted her chuckle, it seemed almost worried, not aching, not pained. Appearances indicating she was okay, he watched her fingers carefully drag back the masses of hair into some odd double side ponytail. Remembering  a few words being spoken to him before the entrance of a rather unbalanced individual. Theo, yes right. Asking how he was or who he was perhaps what he was? No matter, "Theo, the plushie? You? It's very soft and squishy, thanks." Words drawn out, slightly out of rhythm as he spoke through the veil of his mind being partially awake. The little dragon plushie was indeed quite comfortable, it sat nicely and the interior appears to be filled with something that had the perfect voice, yet didn't resist his forceful squeezes.
    Unlike the pile of unbalance and uncoordination that was the third of the Trio and himself, Theo had arrived in clothing which appeared rather lax, simplistic ad relaxed. Although not too chill. Yes he could appreciate the slippers which his eyes were drawn to, yet his eyes grazed upwards across the bare exposed leg between slippers and a treasure patterned pair of short pants. Quite revealing. Lester briefly considered himself wearing such an outfit, yet with the high amount of skin involved he was wary to do so. Rin having finished securing the masses of soft blossom hair Lester found himself glancing between the two. He lacked any considerable knowledge of what one partook in whilst at a sleepover, the activities he had planned were minimalist as the youth preferred for it to naturally flow. Could something be missing though, surely nothing major had been forgotten, although in mentioning that to himself Les realized that he would lack motivation to prance around the ship gathering more items.
    Apologies for being late, a disturbance, head shook softly as he denied the statement, normally his hand would have waved it away yet with a certain oversized winged lizard plushie still in his secure grasp both hands were permanently occupied. "You were no disturbance, dispel those thoughts Rin. You were neither late nor a problem." Honestly she worried a tad too much at times. The smile showing his teeth as he managed to awkwardly maneuver himself to a half seated position. He watched, simple viewing her as she viewed the room, examining her expressions almost before a nervous statement was presented to him and Theo. Competition wasn't really part of the evening, or he wouldn't had thought so, a slight confused look was cast towards Theo. "No no Rin its okay, we aren't really competing."
    Yes they needed to start, a pile of legs beneath him unfolded, the youths slow motions raising him up towards the ceiling with a stretch, one hand clutching Draggy before the plushie once more was nestled in his chest with both arms securing it to him tightly. First thing, yes that box in the corner which smelled oh so nice. Zombie like the green clad form shuffled towards it, plucked up then brought over to where the other two were seated. Surely it would be quite the enjoying activity.
    It was normal, right?
    To consume on a sleepover, his face appearing hopeful as he once more took a seat next to the other two, a large red cushion softening the surface on which he perched. "SO, well I wasn't too sure what people did on sleepovers- apart from sleeping that is, so I thought that i would try my hand at baking. Bread that is." Brows drew together, a pinched look of concern setting in as he laid a small picnic style blanket out, whilst the youth normally focused on sugary things, hard boiled sweets, fudge and the like it was hard for him to bake pastry and breads. The kitchen bins had been full of partially sunk or burnt loaves. A few had even been burnt to a crumbling mess, strongly reminding him of a certain roasted mammal. A few bottles of topping in his hands lester glanced at the other two, oh gosh surely they would be okay with it. "With the bread I have cheeses, jams, spreads, um, other condiments, there is some ham as well oh and also tomatoes." His words bumbling, would the other two take this display as halfhearted, the loaves looked rather odd and malformed, they probably wouldn't taste that great.
    "Oh, oh, oh, jam first," Theo yipped, bouncing eagerly on the cushion. Of course he would go for the sweet option first. Sweet always first, just in case death came before the rest of the meal. He gratefully accepted Lester's offerings, eyes wide and gleaming at the thoughtfulness of the boy. Smearing cherry preserves all over his piece, probably more than was acceptable, he tried to keep his moment to himself, yet felt compelled to properly convey it. "You took all this time to bake for us?" he asked, voice a little extra emotional as he gripped his sleepover snack and took a bite. If they were malformed, Theo didn't notice or care, treating it the same he would some priceless treasure. If you could eat treasure, that is. "Thank you...so much..."
    Now that he had his beginning noms, his eyes flickered between his squad. He got a good look at the last arrival. "Kitty ears again," he grinned at Rin, a vivid memory flashing into that chaotic brain of his. His eyes lit up. "Will you do that thing again? Show Lester. It's so cute," Theo commented, raising his empty hand like a paw. "How did it go again? Nyeh?"
    Wait! Suddenly he paused, noticing something about the two now that he was really looking. They were both wearing animal-style onesies. He glanced down at himself self-consciously, noting his average shirt and shorts combo. "...I didn't know it was a rule to wear cute pjs..." he almost pouted. Without the knowledge that the other two had also never been to a sleepover, Theo thought it was just him and that he was committing a faux pas. "I don't know the rules of these. I've never been to one..."
    Extending a tentative hand forward, Rin reached for a piece of bread, almost unsure if she could accept such a kind gift from her friend. "Th-Thank you very much, Lester." She gushed, a grateful smile spreading across her face. She opted to go for something sweet, since sweets were one of her favorite things. Reaching for the strawberry jam, she dumped a decent sized glob of it on her bread. Maybe she had put a bit too much on there? Who was she kidding, there could never be “too much” of something sweet. Her eyes glimmering with excitement, she took a large bite out of her sleepover snack. “It’s delicious!” She cried out, her expression morphing into one of utter bliss. She had never had fresh bread before, so... Wait... Had she had fresh bread before? Oh yes! Her father had made it for her once before!
    Father...
    A sudden image of a man’s face flashed in her mind. His face was seasoned with age, and the corners of his eyes were crinkled from a bright smile that graced his handsome face. Rin’s eyes widened, completely taken off guard by what had just happened. Had she just remembered something? She had a father...? But who was he? What was his name? Where was he now?! Beginning to feel a bit panicked, Rin bit her lip, trying to calm the questions that were swirling around her brain. Before she could do anything else, she was distracted by Theo, who had begun to speak to her.
    Do the thing again? What thing was he talking about? Watching as his hand moved into a kitty like motion, memories of their last job together flooded back. A deep blush formed across her face. She had hoped that he had forgotten about that embarrassing moment. “U-Um... Okay...” she mumbled, not wanting to disappoint her friend. “N-Nya...” She mewed once again, bringing her hands up into the familiar kitty motion. It was a bit more awkward this time, since she had a piece of bread in one of her hands, but she hoped that it had made him happy nonetheless.
    Her face still a light shade of red, she continued to enjoy her delicious treat, trying to forget about the memories of her father and the kitty thing so that she could enjoy her friend’s company without any distractions. She listened intently as Theo began to speak again. He seemed to be concerned about his attire, but Rin didn’t see any issues with it. It showed a tasteful amount of leg, and the pattern on the shorts suited him perfectly. “I’ve never been to a sleepover either, Theo. I just wore this because Lily told me to.” Rin responded honestly, shrugging softly. Her bunny-cat friend had been weirdly adamant about her wearing this kitty onesie, so she had just gone along with it. “I don’t really know what we’re supposed to do... Hehe...” She admitted nervously. Lily perked up, floating upwards to land on Rin’s shoulder. “I’ve been to a few sleepovers in my day.” She boasted, smirking confidently. “R-really?! You never told me that! Well? What do people do?” Rin asked, extremely intrigued by her bunny-cat’s well kept secret. “Well. As far as I know, you’re supposed to play games, tell secrets, and maybe have a pillow fight if you’re feeling frisky.” Lily responded, smiling devilishly. Rin’s eyes lit up, incredibly curious about the words that were coming out of her furry friend’s mouth.
    “A pillow fight?” Rin asked, staring blankly at a pillow that was resting next to her. “D-Does that mean that you fight the pillow?! I-I can do that!” She squealed, turning to glare ferociously at her fluffy prey. “Hyah!” She yelled, throwing a weak punch at the pillow. Lily stared at Rin and shook her head. “Rin, dear. You are a strange one.” She giggled, smiling to her human companion fondly. Rin pouted, confused about what she had done that was so strange. “You said pillow fight! So I fought the pillow!” She grumbled, crossing her arms. Breaking out into a fit of laughter, Lily fell off of Rin’s shoulder and onto the soft pillow that was beneath them. Rin rolled her eyes and turned her attention from her giggling pet to her friends. "Forget about what Lily said! What would you guys like to do?" She asked, a radiant smile gracing her delicate face.
    It seemed that there had been no immediate reactions of disgust towards his creations, for he would have been rather disappointed if there had been Lester's spirits lifted slightly, as if spring weeds had circled around his moods and cradled it softly. Theo appearing to regain his energy Rin on the other hand was rather subdued. Perhaps it was the contrast between the two that emphasized that energy held within the other male and the calming exterior blanket which Rin wore. Jam first, the squished up berries and fruits preserved with sugars to create a luxurious taste used to illuminate otherwise plain foods. Strawberry and cherry,  so they quite liked Jams, Rin going for oe that was quite sweet and Theo choosing cherry, which from his memory had a slightly stronger taste. It shone slightly, as if the gems and jewels from treasure troves had been transformed into this jelly like mass. He watched with an interest, the shining groups of jam squishing and spreading, it was nice to watch as the red hue of it contrasted with his bread. "Yea, um, I'm sorry I didn't want to waste anything by practicing. So they aren't that good, but I figured that it wouldn't be good to have a sleepover on an empty stomach right." Theo appeared to be cradling the bread, as if it was a small child or a baby animal, perhaps he would have seen it as a priceless treasure as Lester compared it to how he treated rare plants. It was delicious? Oh, even her face expressed the pure pleasure from the bread had been portrayed across the females face. Theo appeared to endorse his bread with excellences, Lesters mind was set at ease. Lowered back into a few more pillows he perched himself on a fluffy pillow, its golden cotton reflecting the honey which was soon smeared across the top of his ow bread slice. It was nice for sure, the soft plush mouthfuls accompanied by sweet and smooth honey which coated his throat.
    Kitty ears? It appeared to be some inside joke from the way that Theo glanced over at Rin it appeared to be that the two had some form of hidden meaning to the words cat ears. Something which was cute? Brushing crumbs off his face which was riddled with amusement Lester glanced between the two, oh hoo, gossip time! Theos little cat ear impersonation set off a slight chuckle with him, luckily there was a lack of bread within his mouth. One handed oddly performed cat ear, yet it had perfectly lead up to what him had planned in store for him. Something that Rin blushed at doing, was a hand motion really that bad? It rested on a small plate next to him, the plush bread holding up a gloup of honey, judging from how a soft peach hue had blossomed across her cheeks it was something Rin found awkward to do, yet not so adult that she would straight up deny them the chance to watch. The bread still clutched in her hand, he noted the fact that she preferred to hold onto it rather than getting a plate to rest it on. nya?
    It came as a surprise for sure, the odd movement of cat ears yet he had not expected her to make such a sound. His hand raised, fingers softly brushing his lips as the youth held his hand across his mouth politely blocking his mouth as it opened from shock. A hue the same shade as his eyes patterned itself nearly across his cheeks, the blush spreading along with a few emotions he was unsure of how to categorize.
    Thankfully the topic changes, as simple as summer winds bringing in new warming air Theo had managed to draw his attention to their attire. His own clothes and Rins greatly contracted to the simplistic and revealing cloth that Theo wore. Cute pj's weren't really a rule, yet he couldn't explain it that Rin and himself were simply naturally cuter than him.
    Confusion, it drew his face together, contorting it like a flower in a frost, a glance at Rin to see how she would react. She mentioned Lily telling her to, his own pjs consisted of long sleeved shirts and pants alongside a few onesies, "This is just very comfortable to sleep in, so I wore it since I like it. It doesn't matter if you aren't wearing animal onesie, as long as you are comfortable!" hopefully such words would work. Lilly appeared, she hadn't really been in the center of his view until she mentioned her experience of sleepovers, she had been to a few. "Oh yes, Lily it would be great if you gave us some tips, this is my first sleepover as well." Food and Sleep was as far as he had planned, yet surely there was more to it. Playing games and whispering secrets, games was rather vague, he had few secrets that he wished to share as well. Friskey pillow fights? Rin appeared to perk up at that as well. Fighting the pillow made sense, yet fist fights were fought with fists, and sword fights were fought with fists. A chuckle escaped him like the first leaves of autumn being dragged free of their branches. No no perhaps that wasn't right. Lily mentioned that Rin was a 'strange one' so perhaps indeed her methods were wrong, punching a pillow, why would people even do that? He had been about to reach out a hand in comfort when Rin had expressed herself to the pet whom now lay chuckling in a pillow. What would he do? Crumbs brushed onto his plate, the last of his bread finished Lester had little interested in having any more, he had slaved away cooking the loaves for sure. Yet the rest could always be consumed later on, gathering the plates he carefully slid them back into the basket box, soft words spoke from him as he completed the menial task. "I think that pillow fights mean fighting with pillows, as in, the pillows being the weapon." A moment's pause as the jam jars were secured with their lids on tight. "Fight fights are where people use their fists, sword fights mean fighting an enemy with a sword as your weapon. So I think we have to fight each other with pillows. They're nice and soft after all" Soft sounds of plates clicking against glass was muted as a loaf of bread was wrapped and tidied away, packed inside neatly. Soft hair wavered, flowers in a meadow looking no more beautiful than the smiling expression across his face. "The food is cleared away now, perhaps we should experiment with this 'Pillow Fight' thing?" Perhaps they could have some fun, blankets and pillows lay scattered across the floor, it would be soft and even if they got hurt it would only be a mild bruise. Raising up his arms the youth stretched, standing on his toes with arms raised above his head.
    As Rin punched the pillow with her fist so seriously, he found himself on Lily's side. His jamified baked good had been consumed just as quickly as food usually disappeared when in his clutches, as if he simply inhaled it and nearly all its crumbs. He had no doubts that he would be back in the breadbox before the night was over, but for now the tasty treat left his mind because he was doubled over, his own face buried in a pile of pillows to muffle his laughter. He didn't want to hurt her feelings or embarrass her, but it was just so darn cute! Theo was certain his face was flushed, so the pillow mask served his ulterior motive quiet well.
    As Lester began speaking again, the energetic young man managed to quiet himself and listen. Lester was a wise person, and since Theo usually didn't think things through too much, he always found himself listening to the watermelon eyed male as if his words would keep him on the right path. The treasure hunter was basically the definition of a strayer, so someone had to keep him centered and at least a little mindful. Rin served that purpose too sometimes, which was actually quite funny. The younger members of the squad had to wrangle the oldest!
    Once Lester made his suggestion, mischief filled up Theo's icy blues and widened his lips into a grin. It was time to act! Perhaps a bit of a sucker punch with the pillow, Theo's Smaug plushie was in his hands and being swung at the other boy's middle suddenly, since he was so nice to leave it open as a nice big target. He deserved it, really. Explaining how a pillowfight was probably supposed to go, suggesting they try it, then take a lingering moment to stretch right there in the open. He didn't put much force into his attempt, though, since he didn't want to chance hurting any of his present company if he managed to land his hits...but he did put more force into Lester's attack than his immediate followup. Using the already started fluidity of swatting motion from his attack on the boy, he spun on one foot to continue on to Rin, with hopefully a soft paf! to her shoulder.
    Fighting with a pillow? I guess that did make a bit more sense than hitting it. A darker blush spreading across Rin's face, she shuffled awkwardly, a bit embarrassed by her previous actions. Lester really was quite intelligent. She aspired to know as much as he did some day in the future. But until then, she was just silly little Rin. A bit frustrated by the revelation, she sighed quietly. Her mood seemed to be deteriorating quickly, which only frustrated her further. Today was supposed to be a fun day with her friends, and she must have been ruining things with her mood swings and lack of knowledge on the subject of sleepovers. In an attempt to soothe her girlish blues, she grabbed her pet, hugging her close to her chest.
    She had just begun to whisper to her bunny-cat companion, when she saw a quick movement in the corner of her eye. Her pinkish brown eyes widened, and her head whipped to an upwards position, causing the hood of her onesie to slip off of her head. A dragon plushie in his hands, Theo had begun to attack Lester. A quiet snicker rumbled in her throat for a moment, but was swiftly silenced when she noticed that she was his next target. Pivoting towards her, the black haired man lightly smacked her with the fluffy dragon toy, eliciting a squeal from Rin and Lily. The laughter soon followed, a devilish gleam in the petite girl's eyes. Theo wasn't about to win a fight against her!
    "Do you really want to start a war with me, Theo? Because we both know that I would win!" Rin challenged, sneakily grabbing a nearby pillow. With her newfound weapon in hand, she jumped forward, tackling Theo onto the cushy pad of pillows beneath them. "Gotcha!" She bragged, preemptively celebrating her victory. A smirk forming on her delicate face, Rin began to pummel her goofy friend with soft hits from her pillow. Lily giggled, proud of the battle she had started. Floating towards the bread that the trio had been munching on moments before, she grabbed a piece for herself, nomming on it happily. "Dinner and a show! Quite a party you've got here, Lester!" Lily snickered, winking to the white haired boy jokingly.
    The stretch was nice, he needed that sort of relaxation once in a while. Although he didn't know what to expect, perhaps the youth should have expected something as predictable as the enthusiastic Theo thumping him in the stomach with a pillow. Softness, perhaps it was the force and speed of it yet the fluffy interior felt harsh. It sunk into his stomach, pushing the young man back a short distance as he let out a short breath of roof. Being hit by the plushie was harder than expected, the sewn limbs and parts of the dragon creating this soft looking exterior whilst it had slammed into him with a little more force than expected. Slightly, his smile grew as Lester launched into an melodramatic flop. His body thrown back, pressing off the ground into a backwards leap the hood of his onesie slide upwards, the green obscured his vision momentarily as air dragged his white hair out into the world. The pillows beneath him, the blankets poofed up slightly as a sigh escaped him, the breath turned into a chuckle as his body sunk into the masses of comfort. This was fun, it was enjoyable, whilst he had just been washed in the stomach with a teddy there was a positive side to everything, Lester mind went to reflecting on the moment, he had been booped in the stomach by a dragon plushie by a male wearing revealing and adorable clothes which accentuated his prime legs.
    Theo had seemed excited just a moment earlier when he explained his thoughts, Rin on the other hand appeared to be embarrassed almost, shuffling slightly with a soft tint of rose blushing across her cheeks. Yet from the sounds of it she had giggled, a quiet muffled show of how entertained she was, yet the change was as smooth as a winters storm. Rather unpredictable, yet the youth was gladdened by the idea that they all seemed to be enjoying the evening so far, with stars sprinkled overhead as if they were little sugary treats on a cupcake it would be quite annoying if something turned the event sour. He sat up slightly, resting on a propped up elbow his head peeked out from the mountain of fluffy objects designed for decorating a bed. Rin had from what he heart ad saw, she had challenged Theo to challenge her, or something of the sorts. Within moments it was as if she had taken on the form of what she wore, a feline pouncing across the room with a pillow and holding the poor treasure hunter down. Stealth was a good option, perhaps he could just lay here a moment longer and watch. The white fluff, that the colour of his hair appeared rather interested in his bread. Perhaps he could just bop her with a pillow as well?
    No that would be rather mean indeed, no use in wasting good bread by hitting it to the floor or covering it in pillow fluff. With a roll onto his stomach lester's had snagged on the corner of a pillow as his eyes held the bread nommer in his sights. Dinner and a show? Indeed he thought it was a good idea yet the youth couldn't help but blush at the compliment, for some reason his emotions had been as unpredictable as the flavour of a red jam, with no one having a clue if he would be strawberry raspberry or cherry.  "Thank you Lily! Although I just set the time, location and bought some bread. You suggested the pillow fight!" Pillow fight, he needed to get to that, eyes narrowed, a grin partially restrained off his face as he nudged a very small pillow towards Lily, the words mouthing from his mouth. 'Rin has far too much energy' perhaps lily would join in the battle, surely he needed to help his fellow butt brother out!
    Leaping backwards, a jumping spider embodied within him Lester hand still clutching the corner of a random pillow from just a moment before he twisted his body and aimed to softly thwack Rin's side, "FREEDOM FOR THE BUTT-BROTHERS" The words spoken as a war chant as he aimed to bash her from Theo and release the fellow male from the females grasp. Yet he had forgotten about the landing, whether or not he hit his target the watermelon eyed mage plummeted head first into an oversized pile of pillows. It all surged around him, trapping the youth in the clutches of cupcakes and sparkling doughnuts. A blanket as furry as his pet sloth almost suffocated him, arms dug around in a pitiful swimming motion yet he could only find himself getting further stuck into the mountainous pile of plush dreams. Softness surrounded him up to his hips, the green backside of a frog poked out of the floral themed blankets and pillows as his legs thrashed for freedom, freedom which he had hoped to bring to Theo first.
    Theo tried to fend off Rin's ferocious attacks, feigning fear as best he could while fighting a grin and giggles. She did have him quite pinned down, so there was little he could do with his oversized dragon pillow at this angle. He tried to get his hands on two much smaller pillows nearby to he could double whammy her head, but her relentless swatting kept his arms over his face to try and block them. "Riiiin~" he faux whined, letting her have her victory. At least it'd seemed to perk her up from her dip into the blues just moments ago.
    Thankfully, Lester entered the fray in his defense! Theo was freed from Rin's cushiony clutches, prompting to echo his white-haired friend's hilarious war cry. "FREEDOM FOR THE BUTT-BROTHERS!" he whooped, springing around on the pillow mound like a tiger set loose from a cage, unsure what to do next but mighty excited to have the opportunity. His eyes spied the butt that inspired the chant to begin with, one Rin seemed pretty fond of. Attached to said frog booty were some legs, thrashing futile kicks to get free. So, he'd return Lester's favor. Before the girl in the onesie could enact any sort of revenge plot, Theo pounced forward and tackled the florist's lower half, perhaps looking a little awkward, but whatever. It should free him from drowning in the fluff, but it might leave them in a tangle of boy limbs since he didn't think it through all the way. Regardless, Theo howled again. "Viva la butt-brothers!" Grabbing a nearby pillow, he launched it at Rin from his downed position, laughing as he did so.
    B-Butt brothers?! Her face turning a bright shade of red, Rin was caught completely off guard for a moment, giving Lester the perfect opportunity to remove her from her prey. "A-Ah!" She squealed, falling face first into the pillow mound. How dare he interrupt her victory! Whipping around quickly, pink hair swirling around with her, she sent a glare in Lester's direction. She had expected to see a face, but instead got an eye full of butt. Her expression turning into one of pure shock, she averted her eyes. Was all of this "butt brother" nonsense about what she had said on the beach that one time? W-Well it wasn't her fault! They were the ones flaunting them in those suits! She took one final glance over at them before completely turning herself around. Why must they taunt her with their magnificent behinds? "U-Uh..." She had managed to utter, embarrassed by her own thoughts.
    Before she could say another word, Lily came charging at her, a pillow in her little white paws. "W-Wha-!?" Rin gasped before being mercilessly attacked by her pet. "They've turned you against me?!" She gigglied, putting her arms up to block the hits. "Are you a butt brother too, Lily?" Her attacks ceasing, Lily glared at her, a smirk in her large, red eyes. "You wish, Butt Admirer!" She retorted, breaking into a fit of laughter. "Oh, you're going to get it!" Rin responded, reaching for a pillow to return fire with. As she prepared to attack, a war cry came from the boy's direction, and a cushion soon followed. The fluff bounced off of her, landing on the floor with a small thwump. Smirking, Rin put a hand on her forehead and gasped girlishly. "I... I've been shot!" She cried out, before falling backwards dramatically, landing on the fluffy surface beneath her.
    ❀B Rank Exam❀
    He had freed Theo! The other male had been released from the grasp of Rin's cushion bombardmet. A grin, it was bright and joyful as it cracked across the face of the youth, that whoop, Theo obviously found himself enjoying their evening activities, freedom for the butt brothers indeed. That had been a great memory, sandy beaches the memory  of the weather eluded him. Tight clothing, he had worn a variation of his skin tight suit, the clinging black fabric had slid across his backside without ay crinkles, the fabric accentuating every curve of his muscular mass. That's when he had been eating cupcakes with Theo, cupcakes for all of them actually, yet Rin had blushed deeply. He remembered the blossoming of cherry red phase over her cheeks as the young lady had mentioned how his behind appeared rather ravishing. The shock had appeared across his own face and Theo's as well, Rin had complimented Lesters butt. Hence the butt brothers had been born, born to protect, born to live next to Rin. Colours swirled around the blankets encasing his pale form, yet it was only for a moment that the soft folds of fabric would support his body, continuously sinking, the weightless feeling as he was held up by the mountains of soft sleeping tools. It was similar, to an ocean of quiet, if he blocked out the rainbows of colours, closed his eyes and dreamed for just a moment, would it be like this in the deepest and calmest of seas, forever floating without an idea of which direction was up. Peaceful, the feeling that he could never be disturbed. Almost addictive, this was a feeling he could grow to adore, weightless peaceful and free. Would it be like that up in the endless space, they could see the stars from below on earth, the shining beacons of light and hope suspended in perpetual darkness, just staring up at a star would make him feel as if the sharp black background would suck him in. Could he get suspended in between the stars, forever floating without a agenda or purpose.
    Yet a weight brought him out of the dream. Arms twining around his lower regions in a sudden movement as if a fleeing antelope had just made it to a place safe from lions. Someone had hugged his legs? Surely they weren't that nice, halting his flailing entrapped by the affections of Theo's arms Lester Figured it was the other male, the shape of the arms and the texture, not to mention that Rin would more likely back him with a pillow than help him out of the condom! The weight on his legs, it appeared to be pulling him back out of the suffocating masses of pillows which immobilised him. Hands swept to the sides, swimming movements almost in hopes of pressing back the restrictive pillows ad freeing himself from the mound of dreamy softness. It happened so suddenly, just sliding out of the pile with a sudden movement and rush of energy. Freedom! Released from the constricting blankets and heavy pillows Lester's body crumpled slightly, he found himself tangled up with Theo as they fell into another hollow, the valley having sides of fluffy blankets and cupcake pillows. Chuckling, his sides moved slightly as the youth glanced at the mess of fallen pillow mountains ad tangled legs. Lester hadn't had something like this in a while, perhaps the last time would have been when he was just a child hardly double digits in age. Elder siblings would have been playing with him, perhaps around the barn hay storage, yes that was a odd vague memory. Soft scents of earth and plats rising from the ground of the wooden building whilst up in the hayloft they all dashed between hay bales used as cover, flingin clumps of the soft fiber in vague directions in hopes of smoking out the others. It was fun, the way that people could playfully banter whilst it brought them closer together, words needed not be spoken as the energy and actions performed in the room could strengthen their relationship through playing around, their faces expressed it all,m tulips and daisies of happiness, joy and entertainment had sprouted up and blossomed across the trios faces. It was truly wondrous.
    Theo snatched up a pillow, he watched it being flung through the air towards Rin, grasping the corner of his own pillow it too was awkwardly hurled towards the young woman, a leaf on a particularly windy day had a smoother journey than the lopsided pillow. Just a moment before Lily had joined in the fun, distracting the harem leader whilst Theo had rescued Lester, yet as Theo's pillow softly bounced off Run; lesters own missing his target spectacularly die to it being an oddly weighted lizard plushie. He didn't mind, the dramatic reaction from his pink haired squad mate was enough. He had listened to her gasp with great interest. a slight chuckle once more bubbling up from within him. Rin too had fallen backwards into the masses of pillows. It was quiet for a moment. Leaning over he spoke in a quiet voice, close to Theo's ear the male spoke with a hesitant tone. "Keep her distracted for a moment." He could only hope Theo would either stay relaxed and not stir the feminine beast known as Rin, or he would start distracting her with some form of ammunition that lay around the room. Slow movements, he curled his hood up around his head, whispering something along the lines of 'frog submarine 1 cleared for submergence' as if he were some sort of radio operator. Slow, movements had to be restrained with only a little energy put into it. arms streamlined forward as if he were some sort of burrowing sand sake the male wriggled his way into the lower depths of the pillow pile. Crawling at times he could almost swim through a part that was just tiny pillows. Snail like his movements could be outrun by the growth of a mighty oak tree. Crawling, arms slightly moving the blockages of pillows, just enough for him to wriggle through gaps without too much disturbance. Perhaps would this be far enough? A weight of compression above him, someone or something as seated on the pillows above. Snaking upwards, speeding up through the topmost layer of comfort as if he was some sort of killer whale Lester aimed to softly burst up next to rin and tackle hug her, dragging the female back into the depths of comfort and warmth. He held a soft hope inside that she wouldn't notice his movements under the pillows and blankets, yet he had mentioned to Theo the importance of keeping such an energetic mind busy.
    This show of games and fun, he had heard many things about being a mage, whilst some were happy to wander the lands along he knew that more often than not they would work with others, when a foe was too large or a journey too long and harsh to make along it was human nature to get help or a friend. Some formed loose teams, friendship bonds that they could ignore for months then call upon when in need of help, although he hadn’t exactly known it himself Lester thought for a moment, figuring out that perhaps he was the other type, the sort of person who only made a few bonds but those bonds were strong, the past few jobs had mostly been with Rin and Theo, he had hardly called upon old job partners like that Yona tramp woman or the flirtatious foreigner. Yet he couldn’t stop it, emotions were something that a person couldn’t just control, they could pretend and fake it all they like but he had no control over whatever deep rooted instinct drove him to protect the two other humans in the room.
    The young man cackled as Rin pulled her acting stunt, as if the pillow had been a bullet that blasted her life right from her. The cackles quickly faded, leaving him to sigh and burrow into comfort. As Theo laid there, tangled with the other boy, he rested a few seconds. Yes, he was pretty much a living spark of electricity, but even he got worn out from time to time. Unknowingly, Theo's brain was on the same track as Lester's. When had been the last time he horsed around with people close to his age, feeling a closeness and a trust with them as if he'd lay down his very life for them? It'd been a very long time, and most likely with his little sister. They hadn't had much time for such things, but children always found a way. Other than his sister, these two goofballs were the only people he'd give up something worth even more than his life; his treasures. He'd given them up before, and though he thought he'd never do such a thing again, he found himself thinking it as he laid in the fluff.
    Was it even okay that he felt that way? They were the Sugar Squad, but did that mean they were close enough to stay close unconditionally? A part of him worried, even though all they were doing was something as benign as a pillow fight. In his eyes, pasts and such didn't matter, but perhaps that's because he had one he didn't speak of and he was projecting that quality onto them in self preservation. He didn't know much about Lester beyond what he'd been shown at face value. Rin he knew a little more about in the sense that there was nothing to learn right now. She woke up one day with no memories prior to that moment, with only Lily to re-teach her literally everything about life. Theo's face and emotions might be an open book, but getting into the deeper things would take a little more work to weasel out of him. The book of his past was closed and clasped shut, and though he'd prefer to throw the book away, it lingered there in the back of his mind. It was so well read that it needn't be open for him to know it front and back, nor for a page here and there to slip out. To be honest, he was terrified to open that book ever again, or what was sealed inside might come out again to haunt him.
    Either way, all that thought happened in mere seconds, and soon Les's words injected him with new vibrancy. Keep her busy, eh? "Riiiiinnn~ Don't dieee!" Theo called out dramatically, not knowing what his partner in crime had in mind for the girl, but being more than willing to play along. "Don't move...or...the pillow shark will get you," he warned, diving into the pillow ocean much like Lester had, though he went more shallow. With an evil grin, he began to swim around the girl, popping his head up every so often to let her know he was making a circle that she should stay within. That should keep here still, right?
    Trying her best not to burst into a fit of laughter, Rin laid in the fluffy mass of pillows that she had just collapsed into. Playing dead was more difficult than she had first imagined. When she thought about the way she had fallen, she could barely contain her amusement. Death by pillow; it was quite a pitiful way to go, wasn’t it? At least it was a death that would go down in history. She could see it now; Rin Mayou, the maiden pummeled by pillows. A smile had begun to sneak across her face, but was shot down when she heard Theo speaking. A pillow shark?! Eyes opening wide, she had expected to see some sort of devious creature lurking within the sea of pillows, but instead found that it was none other than the black haired boy himself. “O-oh no! Please don’t eat me! I’m innocent!” She cried out, trying her best to seem like the “damsel in distress.” Taking a look around the room, she had realized that something was missing. The watermelon eyed male was nowhere to be seen! Had he gone to get something? Surely he would have said something if he had. A puzzled look on her pale face, Rin turned to the other male in the room.
    “Hey, Theo, where did Lester g-“ A sudden movement, an earthquake shaking the pillow sea, took the final words out of the pink haired girl’s mouth. The boy she had just been speaking of erupted from the fluff, reaching his long arms towards her. A squeak was all that could escape from the girl’s mouth as she was tackled. This was not the first time that her friend had done something like this, but she was just as surprised by his actions as she was the first time it had happened. This occurrence felt different, though. It seemed more... affectionate, like it was some sort of hug. Noticing that his arms were gently wrapped around her in a friendly embrace, Rin’s cheeks began to turn the same shade as her hair. Hugs were still an extremely new thing to her, and she wasn’t quite sure how she should react to them. Timidly lifting her arms, she wrapped them around her friend, a delicate smile spreading across her face. “I-I surrender.” The flustered girl mumbled, enjoying the warmth and comfort her friend provided too much to put up any sort of fight. The pillow war had been lost to the butt brothers.
    Motioning for Theo to come over, Rin hoped that he would join in the snuggle. Resting her head against Lester, she closed her eyes for a moment, beginning to feel the exhaustion from the scrap the three friends had just had. Now that there wasn’t much of distraction, she couldn’t help but think about the vision she experienced earlier that evening. “I-I think I remembered something earlier.” The words had left her mouth before she could even think about what she was saying. “W-What?!” Lily shouted, flying over to look at her human companion. A look of genuine concern in her crimson colored eyes, the bunny-cat continued. “You didn’t tell me?! Are you feeling alright?” Feeling alright? Why wouldn’t she be? Nodding slowly, the delicate girl looked away, not wanting to meet her pet's gaze. She had a feeling that her furry friend knew more than she was telling her, but she never had the guts to confront her about it. Was there something in her past that she should be worried about? "Well! Get on with it! What was it that you remembered?" Lily prodded. Hesitating for a moment, Rin thought for a moment. She trusted her new friends deeply, but didn't want to cause any trouble for them, or bring down the mood.
    "U-Um... The bread" She blurted, giving in to Lily's demands. "I've had home-made bread before... My father made it with me once." A fond smiling forming on her face, she remembered the face that had flashed in her mind. "I didn't know that I had a father... He was very handsome. Pale skin, dark brown hair, and chocolate colored eyes to match..." Voice trailing off, she stopped for a moment, a wave of disappointment crashing into her. "But I don't know him... I don't know his name, or where he is... He might as well be a complete stranger." Sighing quietly, she prepared to drop the subject. "A-Anyways! What did you guys want to do now?" She asked, looking to each of them with a curious smile on her face.
    ❀B Rank Exam❀
    It was a wonderland almost soft pillows accentuating each curvature of his body, the feeling of being held up by softness was simply quite wonderful, a grin crinkled across his face as the youth felt himself come to a balance, mentally a little, physically more so. Rins acting had been more than amusing, it had been quite good as well, Theo's shot with the pillows had been rather good as well. Lacking in accuracy and acting his only choice was to surprise, it was something he often excelled at. He had left Theo with a vague request, to simply distract her, to keep her from interfearigng. Wading through, sneaking up, it had been thrilling. Pillow sharks, surely that would be enough of a clue, where did he go? Oh he was right here, the embrace was soft, one of warm as he laced teh two of them together, dragging her into the depths. It was odd, something rarely done by parents unless he was injured, she surrendered? The hug had been nice, warming and sweet, soft arms unlinked allowing her freedom from the floral embraces of the mage. The butt brothers succeeded, it had been relieving, sweet. Theo had been beckoned over, the wight of Rin resting herself against him him. The words had meant little to him, at first the tiered eyes he had started to drag down, yet Lily had screeched, perhaps it would be best to let them sort it?
    A side ways glance Lester cast over to Theo, he wasn't sure if it would be best getting involved. He knew vaguely of Rin's past, or rather lack of it yet she hadn't gone into detail. The bread, "The bread? Was it bad or something?" Oh gosh she should have said or something, he knew it wasn't professional quality, wait, memories were returning, of her father, so he had brought rin's memories back because of bread? Gosh, perhaps, he had a vague idea. Yet would she be okay with it, Rin appeared to want to drop the subject altogether, yet as they were in each others warm embrace he felt a little more responsible for her than normal. "There are pens and pad paper, I brought little colouring in pages too if we get bored but perhaps, there are other uses for it." He hardly moved, the idea was more of a vague suggestion, he hadn't a clue if she would take well to it. "The bread triggered a memory, perhaps other basic things would as well, we could gather some ideas of what to do to help you remember rin?" His voice held a wary tone, worried as if he were a late blooming flower facing a harsh unprotected winter.
    A sleepover, the courting of pillows and exchanging of deep and personal information, slipping secrets to each other whilst chuckling and covering blushes with soft blankets. The scents mingling together as the body heat would rise under the covers, each one of them wishing for a sleep yet not wanting to waste any of the precious time they had together. Some half baked bollywood movie would be playing on a flat screen with low volume and subtitles, half the room would be listening and vaguely enjoying the ripoff whilst the rest shared rumors and gossip between them, packets of crisps and candies exchanged for each other whilst the favourite flavours would be held back and hidden for those who were in the inner circle. Pillows smashed whilst dreams were quashed, blankets thrown across those who were sleeping to shield them from the chilled winds let in by open windows from the more energetic ones crawling out for a midnight walk. Pictures painted in photography, taller with square jaws or blonde hair, the laughing faces of those elder than him, of course for who would let their younger brother join in a sleepover, memories of slammed doors, hurriedly packed bags with a favourite teddy and pajamas as he wash shipped off to town or a neighbours for a few days. Removed from contact of his own home whilst the older boys had their little parties, Lester had known that those days of his youth were probably for the better, scantily clad farm girls from the neighbourhood had swarmed their houses on such occasions, it was common for his parents to both depart for three or four days at a time. Both farmhouse, and family were left in the care of the eldest who promptly sent the youngest Drynedi to stay with a friends or Grandparents for the duration of their older teenage time. Cast aside at times he couldn’t have helped feel a little broken, not badly, for that was soon remained as the adoration of his parents were renewed upon their return. Youthful, indeed he felt his body was rather young his mind felt older at times, looking back on the categorized memories of his childhood and the progress he had made, phenomenal really. How the human brain developed and changed over times, whilst it still bounced back after feeling like the world was beating it down. He felt okay with his childhood, remembering the times he had been protected and cared for, the scents of lemon honey and ginger teas his parents had made for the three sick boys when they had gotten sick after swimming, sat shivering in their small shorts, blankets curling and resting over their shoulders, shuddering against the hard brick of the farmous behind him whilst his father hurried to light a fire in the middle of the day. Chaotic that day had been, the first time he had ditched school in fact. Whilst his peers would have been scrawling formula on crinkled and doodled on pages he sat there with a mug of tea in front of a fire meant for the top of the mountains during the dead of winter. Not even dragons breath would have warmed the children faster that day, Truly it had been a wonderful childhood, days spend working in the fields, tolling away and producing food that he would see later on. Coming in to his mother roasting a big dinner for them, father would point out the vegetable son his plate and get them to name when and how they were grown, the questions get harder as they grew older, what season they grew in turned into what parasites and diseases they were likely to get, how to keep the crops safe from predators. Sunday markets in town, full of elderly retired mages who were once considered to be the greatest, their beards and hair as white as his own. Walking sticks, pushing trolleys, their wrinkles showing signs of natural aging, or those who had found some way to appear younger walking around in bodies decades younger than themselves, the latest fashions presented on the body of a 20 year old mage with the mind of someone closing in on the triple digits. Clover town had been quite the place to grow up close to, it took hardly an hour on the road if you rode a fast horse, with a straight and direct path it seemed like they were out of touch with civilisation, mountains surrounding the town and surrounding forested areas it was a place of paradise and serenity.  Yet despite being close to the border with Bosco he had never travelled there, it was quite odd indeed, however the two nations often swapped cultures, dancers and performers flooding their streets once a year with flamboyant outfits and creative ideas that had stuck the children into a daze. Yet after the displays of creative and artistic spirit it also appeared to be that the town was a place of business and politics, quiet for sure, small and quaint the town was often seen as one to go and relax to, with wealthy stores and a rather nice and upper class shopping district it wasn’t odd to see the carriages of higher classed persons attached to the back of a train incoming to the station. Was it yearly? His memories hadn’t focused too much on it yet the gathering of magical persons wasn’t that rare in Clover Town and the surrounding areas, after all there was always that meeting, it happened yearly from memory, the gathering of Legal guild masters, often accompanied by their students who were excelling oer one of their more senior members who wanted a few days of relaxation and rest. That had been quite a time indeed, were they still going? He could hardly remember. Yet there was something that stood out, when he was much older perhaps fourteen or so, spending that week with his Grandparents in Clovertown, a few small festivals were happening over that period where the Guild masters gathered. He had decided to stay to enjoy the events which were no doubt underwhelming as everything was to a child of fourteen years. Yet waking up early was something he had often gotten used to. Those early mornings of a chilled breeze, warm clothes guarding against the winds which were funneled down into the town which rested in the lowered area. Soft feet pattering against the floor, a trolley pulling behind him, freshly oiled as so not to wake anyone on their early morning run as he skipped slightly ahead of his Grandmother, dragging the four wheeler which was piled high with vases, it was something him and the elder Drynedi boys had thought up. A floral delivery service, something which he had continued to the current day it kept him feeling connected with people, and there was a smooth supply of coin as well. Every second day the vases would be collected and replaced, the flowers would be dried and sold at a cheap price to those who made perfumes or craft, with the fresh vases left outside the doors of those who paid for it, mostly higher class lot. A few places he loved going to, one of the larger houses, (grandmother had said it was called a manor.)  They asked to have 6 new cases each day! Good gods as a child the idea of 12 vases in a household at once was just wonderful, turning every corner to come across a new and inspiring boutique of flowers! Four more to a higher class in, each day replacing them, two lists were carefully pinned above the workbench, each morning he would have to wake up early and copy down the locations and names, with specifics of which vase would go where. Once he had messed up, leaving the wrong vase at the wrong inn, a simplistic mistake indeed, yet after a harsh scolding, some chores to do and a lack of sweets or desserts for two days he had learnt and remembered to be extra special careful. Responsibility, it was something he had known for many years. Since a child he had been sent to care for things, take care of a pet, look after a plant, daily responsibilities and jobs that were expected of him. He would never dream of another waking him up in the mornings.
    Would all of this let him sleep, for some reason his mind was on a tangent, on a roll like a story, it was as if he was mentally writing has won autobiography of book, the pages stuck together from late night readings with sneaky snacks and crumbs gluing each page together. Oh gosh it really was on a roll, he felt a little unsteady about it, after all he had only wanted to relax here, in amidst all of his own personal projects and work he had to relax sometimes. Relaxation was something that calmed him, it pushed his brain into a mode where he could see clearer and understand the world around him better, sometimes there would be a problem that was giving him trouble, a moment in time where the wall seemed to stretch higher than the clouds, higher than even the guild ship could reach and he had no clue how to solve it, perhaps this had been why he had asked for this sleepover, well not that he had asked about it but his brain was running on a higher setting than he was comfortable with, it was racing ahead and he needed a night to straighten it all out. Emotions and ideas often got the better of him, gods it wouldn’t be the first time he was standing on the edge of breakdown cliff and grimacing as he watched in third person as the world slowed down and he teetered on the edge. He had thought about many things, thought about whom he was, where he came from, the person he had become. Who he was now, that had been something clawing away at his mind, yet he figured it out in no time once he relaxed, this was something which had benefited him greatly, calming down to a point where his mind no longer dragged out every dark horror from the shadows. Could he sleep better now? When he was younger it was the shadow monsters which had scared him, fearing that once his family left the room there would just be him and Mr.Cuddles his teddy to fight off the shadowy beasts and evil creatures which would tear him to shreds like spaghetti. Grandmother had remedied that, leaving various night time plants in his room, every time they came she would leave him with a potted nocturnal warden of the night, fighting off any shadowy monsters she said. Keeping him from harm and all that, their flowers would open at the night, showering the room ins soft blue and purple flowers which would glow, casting colourful shadows into the areas where monsters would have lurked. He often felt as if the beautiful blooms would lurch up into a powerful shield should someone come and try to harm him or Mr.Cuddles. Those days of childhood sleeping problems had been put behind him as he grew up, there would be no more, no more cups of cocoa in the early hour sof the morning after waking up from nightmares not even crawling into his parents bed anymore after thoughts of being cleaved in two by oversized claws, not burning to death in a falling down building. It was normal, after discussing it with other children he realized that he was like everyone else and it was okay to have dreams like that. Just because something was normal and okay it didn’t make it any nicer though. Sleep recently had been long, he had easily slept  8 or nine hours, waking up when he did sometimes it was less, often he could only need five or six hours yet sometimes he needed to sleep more, relaxing and laying in bed with eyes closed for eleven or twelve hours at a time. Pillows mounted up around him, sheets pulled close as he tangled around them, yet although he would rest in bed, lounging for hours in a ‘deep slumber’ the brain inside of him never seemed to rest, it never seemed to properly relax and he was left to roll over and sleep in a way that prioritized quantity over quantity, as he could never sleep enough to fully be rested, it was something that plagued him, never being able to wake up rested, people would often comment on it, how lucky he was, oh how great it must have been. Wonderful! Perfection! Oh yes! He got to have 11 hours of sleep that was useless, waking up tired, with eyes that dragged to the ground, fumbling around for a few hours till he got used to the sluggish movements of his body, 11 hours wasted from his day where he hardly rested. Oh good wonderful.
    Those thoughts of Clover Town, the reminders of a second home, was it his second out of three or four, gosh he had lost track of it, he had no clue. But that place was nice, a small bed by a window, the curtains drawn back the light still hardly reached the back of the room where the bookcase stood, light filtering through the dust as it settled, sparkles of hope and joy that he adored to watch. The small desk piled high with papers and ink, a cork board above the desk had pinned up vague quotes and photos, notes of what to do and things to remember. Flowers, pressed and carefully dried, they were stabbed into the brown cork board with tiny little nails. Stone floor covered in a homemade rug, he remembered the bright colours of it to be soft underfoot, relaxing and sweet, although it was best to wear proper shoes whilst in the greenhouse at that place it would always be nice to stretch. The baker's daughter down the road had taught him yoga, stretching of the body and contorting himself into odd and strange positions. It was relaxing, at first he remembered how it hurt yet afterward he felt himself grow into it, becoming more flexible as he aged and not losing any of his youthful childhood muscle. The room there had been nice, small, productive with its little desk and bookcase, yet the bed had been comforting, a single bed with handmade sheets and quilts, pillows which cushioned him and the knowingness that he was safe in there, it was his space where he could just be himself without worry of grandparents or strangers. The florists with its causal atmosphere, it was indeed similar to that of the guild. Oh the guild, he had originally joined Black Rose, recruited into that place as well by Desi, yet after time there had passed it still lacked the feeling of home, Lester had known no better, thinking that perhaps that was simply how guilds were, they weren’t family, they were places to get jobs. Black Rose, they had that mafia, that secret side to them which would just conflict with him once in a while, he hadn’t gone into it, he had known of it of course. For some reason they hardly hid that other side of them. Yet his stomach wouldn’t settle after learning of it, why had he even joined the guild in the first place? It wasn’t as if he had been looking for a guild, it had merely fallen upon him, a beautiful idol with great fascinating technology and an adorable pet. She had come to serve him, he had gone into the restaurant near rose garden, the petals from nearby blossoms cartwheeling down the streets whilst he sipped his soda and relaxed. It had been just a restaurant to him, yet the presence of multiple guild members should have indicated otherwise, it hadn’t been long since the floral mage had met the girl who used summons, cute wee things they had been. From memory it had been kiwi. A small bioluminescent organism. Beautiful really. That would have been why he had accepted the offer to join Black Rose, it hadn’t been on his mind, guilds that was. It had treated him well for sure, yet it hadn’t clicked. After being picked up and whisked away the guild marks had changed on his skin. Of course it had been quite the dramatic chain of events, he hadn’t gotten particularly fond of Desi, not did he think that she though much of him. Yet as if she had been casually skipping down the road and casually plucked a wildflower he had immediately been swept up in a chain of event that lead to the creation of a new guild and purchase of a guild ship within hours. Honestly it had all been quite rushed, simply told to sit still and stay put. Crystal Swan was nice though, he had a perfect view,  customizable room, it would be perfect then, the door read a simplistic ‘2’ and appeared to be opening into some boring room yet the wonder that had crossed his face upon opening it was simply awe striking. Oh gosh the memories of that first day had flooded into him, being told to unpack his few belongings into the room. Of course later on he had also gotten that greenhouse up on the hill, high in the skies and high on the ship it had become a place of his belongings. The guild was getting busy, there were at least 13 or 14 people whom he could remember, or names that kept popping up, faces he saw often. More so there were the stronger members who only appeared once or twice, yet that was more than enough, once or twice with an aura like that they sure left an impression. HIs room often changed at the guild ship, well he was on the guild ship now so it was just below him. Yet the rooms weren’t fixated, they changed with what the user wanted, he felt as if perhaps that vague idea would soon change again, after all he did feel as if over the course of this time he had gone through a process of updating himself, new brain, new ideas, new lester. It did take away the hard work though, the effort and sweat put into redecorating, painting walls and putting tape up, s=plasting wallpaper and cutting it all to size, waiting for one coat to dry on one wall whilst paining another and in tired moments nearly painting the wrong color on the wrong wall. Honestly it was something that he missed, the effort and physical work put into things from his life prior to magic. With the rooms changing to fit his wishes it was hardly as if he needed a paint brush any more, no more use for something like a roller either, no more carpet cutters or wood varnishes, he wouldn’t have to sand anymore nor scrape old paint off. A sigh escaped him, no no it wasn’t as if he wanted to do it, it was more so that the youth often felt a little useless, just casting spells not actually hitting or fighting everything, he felt as if he had no control over a battle, it was something he held a strong dislike for. But perhaps he could regain that, he could transform his greenhouse into something better, there was enough pain on the ship for him to start redecorating the rather plain building, although there were few walls that needed painting people often forget about the frames of each glass pane, they needed painting too. A slight smile had spread across his face, yes that would be nice, perhaps if Rin and Theo went out on a job together he would get some times to himself, just, not that he disliked the duo. But this whole constant team thing was indeed rather odd. The presence of another person at all times.
    Rin's motioned for him to approach didn't go unnoticed. He waded through the fluff ocean to reach Rin's unoccupied side. He wasn't sure how close she meant him to be, but seeing how close she was to Lester he figured it'd be alright to snuggle right in there against her side, folding his hands over his chest. He was sprawled on his back, peeking between some pillows over his face to the glass ceiling above and beyond. Nothing made a person feel smaller than gazing into the expanse of space at night. Billions of stars and planets that looked like glowing specks, and here he was, just an invisible speck on a speck to another speck.
    As Rin revealed her little dip in mood earlier had in fact been a memory, his face whipped away from the stars and to her face. His eyes were wide with shock and curiosity, brightened with the possibilities that she could really remember like she'd told him a while back. Theo was a little less wary and gentle than Lester, despite his own deliberately silent past. It just wasn't his nature to tip-toe too carefully, unless it was absolutely necessary to avoid death while on a treasure hunt. "I want to do anything that could help you remember, just like I said before," he enthused, going with Lester's suggestion. "If we do all sorts of things as normal as eating freshly baked bread, then you should remember more. Maybe coloring pages will bring something from your childhood?"
    Theo's presence next to her was a great feeling. Not only did she feel safe with her new friends, but she felt some sort of connection that she had never felt before. There was a deep connection with Lily as well, but it was much different than this. It was hard to put a finger on this sort of bond, since she didn't have any others to compare it to. Either way, she trusted these two people with her life, and was willing to sacrifice it if the situation ever arose. Wrangling her wandering mind, Rin listened to what her friends had been saying. Possibly coming up with a few things she could do to remember... It was an interesting plan, but would it really work out?
    "Y-You guys don't have to do this, you know... I really appreciate it but I wouldn't want to-" Feeling a fuzzy paw suddenly bonk her on the forehead, the pink haired girl stopped talking, looking up to the owner of the paw. Lily glared down at her, a look of passion in her red eyes. "Rin... Stop thinking that you're being a nuisance. These are your friends, and friends help each other." Lily stated. Looking a bit embarrassed, Rin fiddled with her long, pink hair. Her bunny-cat companion was right, as usual. Friends help each other... Looking over to each of her teammates with a newfound confidence, the young woman nodded. "Okay! This might work!" She gushed, a curious twinkle in her eyes. "As far as I know, I've never colored before... Maybe I did at one time though. I guess that can be the first thing we try." Sitting up quickly, she took a look around the room, searching for the supplies she needed. Removing herself from the warmth of her friends sent a small shiver up her spine, but she ignored it, thinking only of the task at hand. Not seeing the supplies, the inquisitive female looked towards the white haired boy, unable to hide her eagerness. "Would you mind getting the things for us, Lester?"
    With the waiver of her hand Theo had come over, he was a sweet boy, Lester quite liked him indeed, they held a confort around one and another which he could relate back to how he felt around his brothers, perhaps a little different but still a comfort. It was quite relaxing, Rin snuggled in the middle with Theo on the other side, warmth of bodies shared between one another, Just staring, watching as the universe slowly grew and shrunk, he watched the stars with the knowledge that they would be forever changing and growing, as nothing in the world was stationary. Forever growing huh, a flower in some ways people were quite odd, as if there was a great black sheet covering the sky, some child had poked millions of tiny holes in it, letting the brightness of daylight strikethrough. He preferred to take a more relaxed method, letting her speak at her own pace while pressuring her when necessary. After all, Lily and Theo were more than likely to push her further, or so the florist had assumed from his previous encounters. It was a nice way of doing it, relaxing someone to the idea and warming it up then pressing them further, sometimes if you rushed things too soon then it ended up just sinking or burning, he had learnt that often when it came to the drying and pressing process with flowers, his grandmother often teaching him how to press different types of flowers in ways that truly expressed their beauty. ”Rin the thing is that we won’t lose anything, really I promise, we will make this bucket list of sorts and do stuff on it! And, if you don’t get any old memories back, then we still would have made new ones with the experiences.”  his voice urging her, the truth was behind it though, no matter what they did it would still be another important memory for him to add to the collection he had started. So it was lily’s turn? Lester had spoken, twice now actually, but Theo’s statements had been bold and holding a lot of weight, still his~ friend, Rin. Ye, Rin his friend remained in a position where she was unsure of herself. Lily was indeed quite good at this, she must have had to handle Rin like this in the past perhaps, just so straightforward and to the point, there was no need to dwell on little things. Although he wasn’t looking at her face the youth felt a smile cross over his face, it would be fine, this could work, it would be fun, entertaining and productive, things that he loved.
    He perked up a little, getting the things? Oh right they were ready to colour, daffodil like a warming smile spread across his face, ”Yea I can do that, just a moment!” He shuffled, rolling slightly until his body fell into a valley awkwardly, the pillows giving way beneath him as he sunk slightly, a slight of escaped him as he struggled to push himself into a vague standing position, although with footing unsteady he could hardly walk. At one point he nearly gave up, electing to retire for a brief moment the youth flopped forward, the air current pushing his hair back as his belly made contact with that of the pillows he relaxed into it, softness welled up within him, body slowly rolling and topping he could make it, just a few turns and rolls towards where the rainbow hues stabbed into the room with their sharp pencil tips. He could do this for Rin, she was well worth it, memories were something that was important after all, without memories it was as if a person's identity was gone, they hardly knew why they acted that way, just that they did. Someone he considered a friend, a partner, and a teammate was a person whom he would never hope would have to experience the blankness and lacking of a memoryless past. His hand closed around the small bag, the colourful material was sewn together in many small triangles, lot of little odd shaves of material, scraps from other projects put together into a crayon and colouring pencil bag. Many thought colouring pencils were childish, often he thought that they were foolish to go from the basics to higher class stuff straight at once, getting the best supplies will never make up for the lack of talent or effort someone has put into a project. With the pencils and crayons safely secured in one hand he opened a hamper, then another, searching deeply he had little clue as to where they were, and honestly wished that the pages would just fly out of their hiding places and congregate in front of him. Not in the basket, nor with the weird books he had brought, oh surely here~ Lester hand snagged the pages, all of them neatly collated into a little brown folder, paper had been neatly lined up as if it were gardens, some lined then blank, a couple of pictures for proof and then a nice pastel colour. Yes it would be okay, he had hauled himself up to a standing position, the entire array of materials in one of his arms contrasted with the empty arms, he carried nothing on his left side, Shuffling back over with his soft hair wavering like grass in the wind Lester let a smile break out as he got a little closer, throwing the pencils and paper soft cut out a reasonable distance before he crushed it with his weight. With the cute little things he had printed off the mage knew even if run grew tired of their memory map then at least they could scribble the colours on weird and adorable pictures.
    He sat comfortably, legs crossed a half meter from the other two as his long arms drew the supply into him a little closer, he didn’t exactly believe in any higher powers, nor did he trust another to make a list as wonderful as this. Soft cream card was slid out from the file as he brought it onto a book he had, laying the page to rest over the faded cover of some elderly annual book. ”There are colours here, along with planer paper and some colouring pages too! You can use the books to lean on if you wanted.” perhaps this was one of the things he was a little unsure how to approach, smoothly the crayon made fast work, laying over his initial work and enforcing it with crayon his sketchy lined of a pencil stood out a little too much. ”Right! Here, so. The childhood list of things to do, we can rename it but for now I need some ideas of fun things to do?” A moment of confusion passed across his face, as the youth remained slightly confused about what he himself had done at that age, under a rather flowery and cute heading he scripted a few wordings, something perhaps related to, that was it ‘baking candy apples’  it was added to the list just under ‘spend the day exploring rock pools’  the creatures in seaside rock pools were sure to delight and provide more than enough enjoyment to the young man after he managed to grow beans from no more than a seed.
    Once Lester returned with the supplies, Theo flopped over onto his stomach with a book under his coloring sheet. It seemed the young man was constantly in motion when not actively trying to sleep, so it was no surprise that his hands needed occupied while they fleshed out Rin's Memory Bucket List. At first he scowled at the pre-made designs, not because they were ugly, but simply because Theo preferred to do his own thing. coloring inside lines as expected wasn't something the Jello mage would ever do on purpose. Flipping the page over, he started to sketch out his own drawing of what seemed to be a cartoon version of himself in a king's shaw of lush crimson and mink fur, sitting in plush golden throne with a tiny gold crown situated crookedly atop his head.
    The self-imposed busy work kept him focused enough not to let his own tumultuous younger years creep into the moment at hand, for if it did it would surely cast a shadow. He was so emotive, he had to be careful so it wouldn't be contagious. This wasn't about him, it was about his dear friend Rin, whom he'd promised to help. However, gloom cloud or not, it was still a fact that he didn't really know what normal children did. He gnawed absently on the end of his crayon, making a disgusted sound a second later, poking out his tongue, and fiercely wrinkling his nose. Why did these bright colored things have to taste so gross! Hey, wait! That was a thought, he held it out toward her, seeming completely innocent to the fact that his next words were super bizarre. "Hey, taste this. I think every kid has either accidentally or on purpose tasted a crayon," he suggested, though his mind didn't stay there long even though he still held the blue crayon out vaguely toward her mouth. Now he was talking more toward the list maker, Lester. "We could go fishing. Oh, and get ice cream and other sweets," he suggesting, knowing these sounded more generic than memories he had himself that maybe she'd benefit from. "Climb trees and have a fight in the mud. Lick a rock. Go camping outside and make a fire to roast marshmallows. Jump in puddles during or after a rain. What about rolling down a soft grass hill, or playing catch?" he continued in a voice growing dreamier by the second. These are the things he wished he had has memories from being small. Benign, wholesome memories wrapped in a safety bubble.
