The dark was a natural enemy for humans. They are beings of poor vision in places other than brightly lit areas, and therefore the threat of the dark struck fear into many. After all, being unable to see hindered them. It took away a precious sense used to protect themselves against predators that may otherwise be out to get them. Perhaps that was why many children were afraid of it. Stories of monsters and the unknown residing in the cover of darkness are often passed down from human to human in hopes of protection and making them aware of their surroundings. And some may view them as just that. Stories, or even just warnings for the wise. However, even the most unbelievable stories hold a kernel of truth behind them. Monsters do exist, and they are more than willing to take advantage of a target's weakness.
It was a wet night in Clover Town. Though, that was to be expected given the season. It was nearing spring, a time where rain was a constant as the earth began to heal after winter's harsh lashing. The rain poured over the small town in a light sprinkle. Not enough to cause you to run for shelter, but yet again to some it may be annoying if you had to stand out in it for too long.
An old priest twiddled with the golden keys within his fingers, squinting down against the dim light from the small lamp he held in his other hand. From the looks of things, he couldn't quite figure out which key was supposed to fit in with the door. "Damn these keys, they all look alike" he grumbled under a huffed breath, growing more frustrated the longer he had to fumble around. The rain patted down against his plastic green poncho draped around his figure, but it was pretty worthless since he didn't even bother to flip the hood over his head. His white stands of hair dampened and stuck to his face, but he was much too concentrated on finding this key than caring much about his hair being frizzy. Like most would be, he just wanted to get home into the warm and dry. But he couldn't do that without locking up first. "Next time one of the Alter Boys will do it... Ah!" Finding the right key his wrinkled expression grew brighter, thanking the gods under his breath for allowing him to finally leave.
He lifted the key and slipped it in the keyhole that was drilled into the tall polished oak door. He was about to turn it and finally be free of his duty for the day. But before he could, the sound of a heavy footstep from behind caught him by surprise. Like any normal idiotic human would do, he turned to spot where the noise came from, being somewhat on edge due to the nighttime atmosphere. It might be a comfy retirement town, but it really didn't mean much when it came to disrespectful teens and thugs.
    But she was too quick.
The man looked down with wide staring eyes, only to see the blade of a katana pierce through his abdomen. Blood dripped down the blade in a steady crimson stream before hitting the pavement and mixing with the rain. He let out one last deep breath, and then everything went dark. A human's greatest enemy. The one true darkness.
His eyes rolled into the back of his head, and he went limp. The lamp dropped out from his hand and clattered to the grown, having blown out the candle on the way down. Whatever light the area once had, was now completely void of anything.
Minerva removed the weapon cleanly, allowing his body to fall the rest of the way and spatter onto the ground, the red blood now overwhelming the clear rain gathered along the bricks.
Dull crimson eyes took no notice of her kills. She merely gave one good shake of her weapon, clearing any remaining blood from the blade in one fall swoop and splattering it onto the pavement.

Stepping over the body, the dark haired teenager walked towards the door, and placed her hand on the key. She removed it from the keyhole, and slid it down her shirt into her bra, knowing it would be safe there. She glanced behind her, to the familiar figure of her sister, the same expression drained of any emotion as she always held.
"Sister, this is the place." She would state, though Victoria would most likely know that anyway. She just wanted to state the obvious in hopes the clan leader would put her in her place... Maybe even insult her intelligence... H-How invigorating. Just thinking about being told off filled the weapon wielder with excitement, though she mostly managed to keep her thoughts from showing. Victoria may notice a glint in her eyes, but nothing more.

The rain began to dribble down the sides of the large umbrella that sat above Victoria's head, similar to that of the crimson essence that poured from the priest's abdomen. She stood in the shadows as her sister had approached the door, watching her closely as she pierced his skin with her beautiful blade. Similarly, her long blade stood inside of her necklace at this hour, swinging back and forth in a glowing manner as the wind gently tossed it to the left and to the right. It was no surprise that it was raining at this hour in Clover Town, as it usually did on islands completely surrounded by lakes. The rain was something that Victoria did not mind, as it typically came with darkened skies, therefore it eliminated the need to wear cloaks in order to protect the skin. Nevertheless, she held a large umbrella high above her, making sure the rain would not soak her beautiful outfit; the soaking would most likely come later, after all. Much more blood would be spilled while they acted out the task they were here to perform, their red eyes sitting in the darkness with sharp fangs accompanying their presence. The dark was definitely a natural enemy for humans, which was why they could not peacefully coexist. That, and the fact that they were to have to feed on something to get their blood, and humans were very easy. The thought of a warm and pulsing neck made her body tingle, it was definitely something that she enjoyed, along with the sounds of the last breath; in which the priest just let out.

Advancing forward to stand right behind Minerva, she looked down at the body and let out a sigh of disgust, closing her umbrella and sticking it right into Schwarzbär's mouth for storage. The blood from his body leaked out and swirled with the water that stood on the ground below, making one large puddle of semi-transparent blood. "These types of Churches disgust me. They are stupid, and their ideals make them look just as foolish as they do powerless." Victoria told her sister in pure disgust, driving a kick into the side of the dead priest's torso to make sure he was definitely dead. "Have fun with your god, scum~!" she exclaimed in a mixture of joy and anger, driving more and more kicks into his dead body and causing it to become more and more dented and bloody. As she kicked him over and over again, Schwarzbär began to giggle tremendously, moving over his head in order to gather his skull. He was definitely dead by now if he was not before. Victoria stopped kicking after Schwarzbär was finished, and stood beside Minerva as they stood in-front of the church door. Her sister had told her that it was the place, which was something that she definitely knew as they had come there together. "Way to state the obvious, dumbass." she told her sister with a slight smile on her face, advancing a few feet toward the door in order to advance in the mission at hand.

"Lighten up, Minerva! This will be fun! No survivors. If you see anyone, kill them. Understood?" Victoria told her sister and Schwarzbär without turning toward them, her eyes staring directly into the door's carvings. Tapping her necklace which slightly glowed like her eyes, a large orb of blood formed out of it and made it look empty, its older form of crimson looking to be entirely transparent. This orb of blood soon formed into a long lance, that of which sat firmly in her right hand as she faced the entrance. Unexpectedly, she kicked the middle of the door and it flew open, revealing a large church that appeared to be empty, yet dimly lit. Walking a few steps inward, she walked toward the left side of the doorway where the wall appeared to be and looked down at what appeared to be a pool of water inside a golden bowl, sitting calmly and still. Bending slightly over to situate her face over the bowl, she saw her reflection in the water and spat into it, causing the clear water to appear crimson red. "Spit in the bowls. It's what our spit does to holy water, it makes it look like blood." she told Minerva as she held the lance against her shoulder with one hand, the other meeting Schwarzbär's. Going into a downward position to meet the possessed plushie's face with hers, she pet his cheeks and gave him a big hug, squeezing him rather tightly in the process. "It's rumored that there are other people here at night, those dumb and idiotic cowards. I'm excited to rip their hearts out with my bare hands and feast on their blood!" she told him with a sinister laugh, his giggle producing a small echo throughout the entrance room in response. Standing back up and holding her weapon in hand rather tightly, she began to look for more of these disgusting bowls in this room in order to taint their contents, which was their main objective. However, the more killed the better, at least in the eyes of Victoria.

The words pierced her like a knife stabbing through a dead cow's heart. Upon her sister's harsh words the wielder felt a rush of pleasure through her body. The vampire did not know why she enjoyed such things that would otherwise cause pain to others, nor did she care to really think about it too much. Being lustful was in their nature, so she had just always assumed this was natural behavior. Because of this, while she normally covered her true feelings with a veil of unamused expressions, the rush of feeling pain was too great for her to hold back, and she revealed her true feelings. Something that was fairly rare to the otherwise cold and calculating woman.
Despite the cold weather her face warmed immensely, turning light red, the color intensified due to the vampire's skin normally rivaling that of freshly fallen snow. Emotionless eyes sparked to life, holding a strange and bright life that was often times void of anything. Her mouth curved into an open sheepish smile, her breathing growing more rugged and loud with each exhale and inhale. With the cold, the heavy breaths released a white steam along with the air.
"S-So bluntly insulted... Aha, ahah..." Minerva silently mumbled under her breath, relishing in being insulted so early into the night. She could only hope there would be more moments like this.
The bliss soon faded upon Victoria kicking the door down. The loud sound had managed to snap the masochist back into her normal state of an emotionless corpse. Her breaths became quieter, her skin returned to it's extreme paleness, and the lustful expression carved onto her features drained away. Yes, they had to complete their mission. Churches were horrid places where people who felt too weak came to pray to a so called higher power. It was a disgusting thing, humans relying on those above them to wipe their asses when they couldn't reach back to do it themselves. They were greedy little beings. The fact that they had to feast upon them regularly just made her loose her appetite, which is why when it came down to feasting, the clean heir would rather take her energy elsewhere. Normally? This would be devastating to a vampire's heath and mentality. But to a masochist, who enjoyed the hunger pains and the mental strife it caused? Well, it was just all the more reason not to do it.
Looking over to Victoria, the blood mage nodded solemnly at the order to kill anyone and everyone they came across. She would do as she was told, of course, like always. Despite being next in line for leader she quite enjoyed taking orders from others rather than doing the ordering herself . She actually preferred it, as strange as that may sound. Though given her nature, maybe it wasn't strange at all.
Crescent Moon gripped firmly within her grasp the vampire entered the holy church. Upon stepping through the large doors Minerva was taken aback by the holy energy that radiated around the area. It was sticky, and heavy, wrapping around her body like a cloth. Since this was a holy place, they could assume the place was under a holy protection spell to keep demons much like themselves away from this place. Though it could not keep them away altogether, it certainly would not make them comfortable. Due to her training, Minerva would not be as effected as she would normally be. Small pains like this did not faze her at all, since her nerves were much more use to extreme pains. This? Was more like a tickle compared to some of the things she put herself through. It wasn't even that painful enough so she could get a kick out of it. If anything, it was just an annoying pressure. Completely worthless.
Moving across the aisles she would reflect her sister's actions and begin spitting into any of the golden bowls strewn around the room, turning the clear liquid into a bloody mess. It appeared they were using actual holy water, instead of just normal stuff from the tap. Well, at least this place was genuine. Unlike some of the other churches she had wondered into in the past. Their water either came from a bottle or the tap itself, and they wouldn't even have a barrier of any degree. These humans were serious, the real deal.

The pressure in the room was definitely a bit more on the intense side for Victoria, her head beginning to develop a slight ache toward the back. It was weaker than a headache, but definitely stronger than a tapping sensation; it felt weird, this church was definitely the real deal. Similarly, Schwarzbär was feeling the same sensations, scratching his head in order to attempt remedying the annoyance that was the holy energy pulsing around them. Picking up one of the many golden bowls of holy water glistening around the room, she looked into it once again; it looked just the same as the rest, its clear water of the holy element being filled to just the right level and sitting still, untouched. Her spit quickly flying into it like a hose quickly turning on and off, the transparent liquid soon switched into a crimson red once again, removing her reflection from the picture and causing it to be replaced with a reflection of blood. "The way these mortals waste their money on golden bowls for some dumb water, what the hell do they think?! Upupupupu~ I'm going to satisfy my god by putting water in a shiny metal~! He won't like it if I don't~! What the hell?! It's stupid, all of them are idiots!" the pain began to ache through Victoria's head as she yelled, causing her to drop the bowl and the red liquid to splash all around her red heels. In anger, Victoria kicked the bowl and caused it to go flying across the room, producing a loud ringing sound as it hit the stone floor once more. "This place irks me so much, fuck! Where are all the other bowls, those dumb, shiny bowls?!" she yelled in a fit of anger, her footsteps becoming much more haste as she moved quickly around the church. She was ready to get out of there, or at least satisfy herself in some way or another.

Toward the back of the Church, the farthest away from the exit, a light turned on and began to cast a small glow across the altar in the shape of the doorway it was casting out of, four shadows slowly growing bigger and bigger as they walked through the hallway that it connected from. With a simple light turning on and shadows emerging, her anger soon turned into a smile. Walking through a section of pews and causing a few hymnals to fall from their designated places, Victoria walked toward the center aisle with a smile on her face, a lance in her hands, and Schwarzbär following quickly behind. Finally, a meal seemed to be making itself present. From the hallway of light emerged four men, three looking to be in their 20s or so and another looking to be in his late teens. As they emerged in a frightened manner, the oldest in the bunch advanced a few feet forward from them holding a cross in his hand. He looked to be bewildered yet also quite frightened, picking up the crimson-stained bowl that sat by his feet and beginning to clean it off with a cloth that was sitting in his back pocket. "The Church is closed at this hour, only those practicing in holy orders may enter at this time..! We do not appreciate noise while we do our nighttime prayer!" he exclaimed, following with a yawn coming from his mouth as it quivered. "That... is right! We knew someone was the cause of this ruckus!" the youngest altar boy told his peers, they all staring toward where Victoria stood in the darkness. They could only see a faint outline of her and Schwarzbär standing there; hell, they could have thought that they were just two women looking to pray late at night.. until Victoria's lance began to glow.

"Minerva, it's finally the time!" the vampire exclaimed as she began to run quickly toward the party of four, causing two bat wings to sprout from her back. Launching herself into the air and holding her glowing staff in hand, the four men quickly began to disperse themselves throughout the large room; two running toward the left portion of the exterior row, and one running toward the right. The eldest, holding his cross in place, quickly held the holy object upward and began to shoot beams of light out of it sporadically, nearly missing all of them except for two; one skimming Victoria's cheek, and the other pushing back the possessed plushie back a few meters and causing him to stagger. A scoff followed by her wings making her boost forward even faster, a diamond shape formed toward the tip of her lance, being pointed directly toward the man in which caused her cheek to bleed. "Time to die!" her voice boomed throughout the room, followed with an intense smile coating her face. Finally meeting the worried priest in training, it jabbed him through the stomach and caused him to fly backwards extremely quickly with force, his body slamming against the wall of the Church and causing it to slightly crumble at the touch. With blood pouring out of a large stab-wound to his chest and his body stuck to the wall due to the indentation the force had made, his head fell forward and crackled brutally; he was dead. The vampire twin ran forward to his dead body and sunk her fangs into his neck quickly, emptying its remaining contents into her mouth in the span of a few seconds. Schwarzbär soon followed to her location and quickly popped his head off of his body and placed it inside of his mouth for later use, hopping onto Victoria's back and forming into a booksack for better utility around the wings. Flying upward near the roof of the mass building, her lance dripped in blood downwards like rain; preparing its next attack in the shadows from above.
