    ❅ Blizzard Magic || Apusineq

    Caster or Holder: Caster
    Description: Blizzard magic has many different origins, but the one that Althea practices originates in northern tundras and mountains.  It was used to dispel potentially dangerous snow storms and protect villages by surrounding the settlement with harsh weather while the village itself had clear weather.  The magic slowly evolved to include battle capabilities for self defence purposes and hunting.  Blizzard magic didn’t spread very far from where it originated in the North, but the creators don’t mind teaching it to anyone who comes their way.  It is a rather versatile type of casting magic that gives the caster the ability to manipulate the snow around them, as well as create their own and summon up powerful gales. Besides creating snow, the caster can also impact the temperature of the world around them along with the weather.  It can be used defensively, offensively, or even decoratively and can be used in long or short ranged combat.  Snow can be made to lightly cloak objects or pack together into a mass that has the ability to be as hard as steel.  It can be made to affect a large or a precise area.  Blizzard magic can also grant a resistance to cold, and even the mastery over ice if the user’s level is high enough.

    Althea learned such magic from her deceased older sister who enjoyed traveling abroad and passed away due to catching an infectious disease on such a trip.  Althea uses it completely for offensive purposes and more of less ignores defensive properties of her magic.  But, she needs to make physical contact with snow before manipulating it unless it’s coming straight from her.  A quirk of Blizzard magic is that the more advanced you are, the colder your body becomes.  It also goes hand to hand with Althea’s passion and focus, meaning that her magic becomes stronger along with the weight of the task at hand and her concentration, although the opposite may also occur.

    Strengths:
    ❅ A spell affecting a large area can be cast for an extended amount of time.
    ❅ Can be used for attacking one solitary person or a large army
    ❅ Spells can be cast very quickly if enough work is put into it
    ❅ Spells cost less in areas where snow is already present

    Weaknesses:
    ❅ Spells covering large areas do not only leave enemies affected, but allies too
    ❅ If heart is not in it, spells won’t have much effect
    ❅ Snow not coming directly from the caster must be touched to manipulate
    ❅ Blizzard wizards typically have a low tolerance to the heat
    ❅ Slayers could consume snow or wind for a power up

    Lineage:
    Chaos Eye:
    Description: A demon made a deal with a man that had lost vision in his left eye. The man was to become the demon’s vessel in return the eye would be restored to its full capabilities. As the demon’s usage of the vessel was no longer needed, the man settled down and had children. His children however unlike the man had one red eye that could predict a chaotic event.
    Ability: The user can see a glimpse of the future for a brief minute, but causes great strain on the user’s body.  Upon activation, the user of this lineages gains the foresight needed to predict enemy attacks and thus gains an increased chance to avoid them.  It takes the appearance of ghostly echoes in their vision.  Can be thwarted by the very skilled who react to your own reactions,  or by others with similar ability.
    Passively they can get visions of the future for plot reasons.   They are occasionally plagued by nightmares of their own death.
    Usage: Passive for plot purposes / Active for battle purposes. Active lasts for 1 post with a 10 post cooldown and even though the user knows the next move this does not mean they can dodge everything that post and the attacker can simply outmaneuver them if able.

    Unique Abilities:
    ❅ Fervor || Uummat - If Althea feels greatly invested in a situation and feels a great passion due to it, she will receive a 10% buff to Spell Damage and Speed for 3 posts, with a 5% increase for every rank-up (until A-Class).  But, if Althea doesn’t care much for the situation the opposite will occur.
    ❅ Chill Resistance || Nillertoq - Because her magic is so focused on the cold, Althea has grown accustomed to it.  Therefore, ice and snow attacks deal 15% less physical damage than usual, while fire ones deal 15% more.  Althea can also see perfectly in any magical storm of her rank or lower.
    ❅ Spear Proficiency || Kulugiak - Before learning how to use magic, Althea was taught how to use a spear and many variants of it.  Whenever she picks one up, her physical strength increases by 40%.

    Wintry Mist:
    Name: Wintry Mist || Pujoq
    Rank: D
    Type: Snow || Defensive
    Duration: 1 post
    Cooldown: 2 posts
    Description: This spell is cast by the user gathering their magical power and bluntly forcing it in a given direction, most likely through some sort of hand gesture.  It sends any snow within a 3 foot circumference from the caster whirling towards the designated direction along with a chilling breeze and snow directly from the user, hitting an enemy with a small flurry of snow.  Depending on the opponent's abilities, the spell does the best job blinding them momentarily.  It is great for preparing a follow up move or making a quick escape.  Winty Mist takes about two seconds to cast and can reach up to 2 meters while moving at about 33.75 m/s.
    Strengths:
    ❅ May be used in a variety of situations
    ❅ Can be used to avoid or escape conflict
    Weaknesses:
    ❅ Deals no damage
    ❅ Doesn’t affect enemy movement, so they could simply move through the spell, rendering it useless
    ❅ Must be used in close combat
    Snowfall:
    Name: Snowfall ||Qanik
    Rank: D
    Type: Snow || Supportive
    Duration: 3 posts
    Cooldown: 4 posts
    Description: The user casts a spell to summon a heavy snowfall by spreading their magic energy over an area for about 4 seconds and abruptly releasing it.  The spell can cover a 30 meter area at most, but it could be decreased to just 1.  The area affected also gives any ice or snow wizards or creatures a 20% boost to MP.  The larger the area affected, the more exaggerated the hand gesture to cast the spell is.
    Strengths:
    ❅ May cover a large area
    ❅ Lasts for a fairly long time
    Weaknesses:
    ❅ With larger areas, the spell takes much longer to cast
    ❅ The Spell may also buff enemies
    ❅ Spell does not summon up winds along with the snow
    Frosty Lance:
    Name: Frosty Lance || Kalugiak
    Rank: D
    Type: Snow || Offensive
    Duration: 2 post
    Cooldown: 4 posts
    Description: This spell is used to condense snow into a lance about the same height of the caster, taking about 6 seconds to cast.  If thrown, it can travel 10 m/s over a 20m area at max.  It takes a great deal of focus to keep the snow together for lower ranks, so after two posts the spear will disassemble.  That does not mean it is not suitable to be a weapon though as it deals 25% D-rank damage.
    Strengths:
    ❅ Can be used in close and far combat
    ❅ May hit multiple targets
    Weaknesses:
    ❅ Can only be used for two posts before breaking
    ❅ Takes a while to cast
    ❅ The cooldown for the spell is rather long
    Crystalline Snow:
    Name: Crystalline Snow || Pukak
    Rank: D
    Type: Snow || Offensive
    Duration: 1 post
    Cooldown: 2 posts
    Description: This spell is used to condense snow into several ball-like shapes and then send them as projectiles towards any given target with a chilly gust.  The balls are about the size of an infant’s hand and move at 20 m/s and each one deals 25% of D-Rank damage.  It can be cast in about 2 seconds without any gestures.
    Strengths:
    ❅ Can be used at a lengthy distance away from target
    ❅ Can be cast fairly quickly
    Weaknesses:
    ❅ Snowballs do not move too quickly
    ❅ The wind that goes along with the spell is rather weak and doesn’t do anything but use the caster’s magic to carry the snowballs
    ❅ If met by a wind attack higher than D rank, the spell will backfire and the snowballs will move towards the caster instead

    ❀ You could make this more of a defense spell if you wanted, it can block 2 D rank in damage if you want

    ❀ This is a multitarget spell since it does do multiple hits. Which means that each hit only does 25%
    damage. You can change the spell if you want, multitargets work best if there are unspecified number of blows it can do.

    ❅ Can only be used three times before breaking

    Description: Blizzard magic has many different origins, but the one that Althea practices originates in northern tundras and mountains.  It was used to dispel potentially dangerous snow storms and protect villages by surrounding the settlement with harsh weather while the village itself had clear weather.  The magic slowly evolved to include battle capabilities for self defence purposes and hunting.  Blizzard magic didn’t spread very far from where it originated in the North, but the creators don’t mind teaching it to anyone who comes their way.  It is a rather versatile type of casting magic that gives the caster the ability to manipulate the snow around them, as well as create their own and summon up powerful gales. Besides creating snow, the caster can also impact the temperature of the world around them along with the weather.  It can be used defensively, offensively, or even decoratively and can be used in long or short ranged combat.  Snow can be made to lightly cloak objects or pack together into a mass that has the ability to be as hard as steel.  It can be made to affect a large or a precise area.  Blizzard magic can also grant a resistance to cold, and even the mastery over ice if the user’s level is high enough.

    Althea learned such magic from her deceased older sister who enjoyed traveling abroad and passed away due to catching an infectious disease on such a trip.  Althea uses it completely for offensive purposes and more of less ignores defensive properties of her magic.  But, she needs to make physical contact with snow before manipulating it unless it’s coming straight from her.  A quirk of Blizzard magic is that the more advanced you are, the colder your body becomes.  It also goes hand to hand with Althea’s passion and focus, meaning that her magic becomes stronger along with the weight of the task at hand and her concentration, although the opposite may also occur.

    Strengths:
    ❅ A spell affecting a large area can be cast for an extended amount of time.
    ❅ Can be used for attacking one solitary person or a large army
    ❅ Spells can be cast very quickly if enough work is put into it
    ❅ Spells cost less in areas where snow is already present

    Weaknesses:
    ❅ Spells covering large areas do not only leave enemies affected, but allies too
    ❅ If heart is not in it, spells won’t have much effect
    ❅ Snow not coming directly from the caster must be touched to manipulate
    ❅ Blizzard wizards typically have a low tolerance to the heat
    ❅ Slayers could consume snow or wind for a power up

    Lineage:
    Chaos Eye:
    Description: A demon made a deal with a man that had lost vision in his left eye. The man was to become the demon’s vessel in return the eye would be restored to its full capabilities. As the demon’s usage of the vessel was no longer needed, the man settled down and had children. His children however unlike the man had one red eye that could predict a chaotic event.
    Ability: The user can see a glimpse of the future for a brief minute, but causes great strain on the user’s body.  Upon activation, the user of this lineages gains the foresight needed to predict enemy attacks and thus gains an increased chance to avoid them.  It takes the appearance of ghostly echoes in their vision.  Can be thwarted by the very skilled who react to your own reactions,  or by others with similar ability.
    Passively they can get visions of the future for plot reasons.   They are occasionally plagued by nightmares of their own death.
    Usage: Passive for plot purposes / Active for battle purposes. Active lasts for 1 post with a 10 post cooldown and even though the user knows the next move this does not mean they can dodge everything that post and the attacker can simply outmaneuver them if able.

    Unique Abilities:
    ❅ Fervor || Uummat - If Althea feels greatly invested in a situation and feels a great passion due to it, she will receive a 10% buff to Spell Damage and Speed for 3 posts, with a 5% increase for every rank-up (until A-Class).  But, if Althea doesn’t care much for the situation the opposite will occur.
    ❅ Chill Resistance || Nillertoq - Because her magic is so focused on the cold, Althea has grown accustomed to it.  Therefore, ice and snow attacks deal 15% less physical damage than usual, while fire ones deal 15% more.  Althea can also see perfectly in any magical storm of her rank or lower.
    ❅ Spear Proficiency || Kulugiak - Before learning how to use magic, Althea was taught how to use a spear and many variants of it.  Whenever she picks one up, her physical strength increases by 40%.

    Wintry Mist:
    Name: Wintry Mist || Pujoq

    Type: Snow || Defensive
    Duration: 1 post

    Description: This spell is cast by the user gathering their magical power and bluntly forcing it in a given direction, most likely through some sort of hand gesture.  It sends any snow within a 3 foot circumference from the caster whirling towards the designated direction along with a chilling breeze and snow directly from the user, hitting an enemy with a small flurry of snow.  Depending on the opponent's abilities, the spell does the best job blinding them momentarily.  It is great for preparing a follow up move or making a quick escape.  Winty Mist takes about two seconds to cast and can reach up to 2 meters while moving at about 33.75 m/s.
    Strengths:
    ❅ May be used in a variety of situations
    ❅ Can be used to avoid or escape conflict
    Weaknesses:
    ❅ Deals no damage
    ❅ Doesn’t affect enemy movement, so they could simply move through the spell, rendering it useless
    ❅ Must be used in close combat
    Snowfall:
    Name: Snowfall ||Qanik
    Rank: D
    Type: Snow || Supportive
    Duration: 3 posts
    Cooldown: 4 posts
    Description: The user casts a spell to summon a heavy snowfall by spreading their magic energy over an area for about 4 seconds and abruptly releasing it.  The spell can cover a 30 meter area at most, but it could be decreased to just 1.  The area affected also gives any ice or snow wizards or creatures a 20% boost to MP.  The larger the area affected, the more exaggerated the hand gesture to cast the spell is.
    Strengths:
    ❅ May cover a large area
    ❅ Lasts for a fairly long time
    Weaknesses:
    ❅ With larger areas, the spell takes much longer to cast
    ❅ The Spell may also buff enemies
    ❅ Spell does not summon up winds along with the snow
    Frosty Lance:
    Name: Frosty Lance || Kalugiak
    Rank: D
    Type: Snow || Offensive
    Duration: 2 post
    Cooldown: 4 posts
    Description: This spell is used to condense snow into a lance about the same height of the caster, taking about 6 seconds to cast.  If thrown, it can travel 10 m/s over a 20m area at max.  It takes a great deal of focus to keep the snow together for lower ranks, so after two posts the spear will disassemble.  That does not mean it is not suitable to be a weapon though as it deals 25% D-rank damage.
    Strengths:
    ❅ Can be used in close and far combat
    ❅ May hit multiple targets
    Weaknesses:
    ❅ Can only be used for two posts before breaking
    ❅ Takes a while to cast
    ❅ The cooldown for the spell is rather long
    Crystalline Snow:
    Name: Crystalline Snow || Pukak
    Rank: D
    Type: Snow || Offensive
    Duration: 1 post
    Cooldown: 2 posts
    Description: This spell is used to condense snow into several ball-like shapes and then send them as projectiles towards any given target with a chilly gust.  The balls are about the size of an infant’s hand and move at 20 m/s and each one deals 25% of D-Rank damage.  It can be cast in about 2 seconds without any gestures.
    Strengths:
    ❅ Can be used at a lengthy distance away from target
    ❅ Can be cast fairly quickly
    Weaknesses:
    ❅ Snowballs do not move too quickly
    ❅ The wind that goes along with the spell is rather weak and doesn’t do anything but use the caster’s magic to carry the snowballs
    ❅ If met by a wind attack higher than D rank, the spell will backfire and the snowballs will move towards the caster instead
