Gardens of Eden

Post by Leila Vergious on 28th August 2017, 7:59 am

Secondary Magic: Dragon's Rose
Lineage: N/A
Magic Change: The Magic Shop
Caster or Holder: Lost magic ; Caster

Strengths:

• Every single spirit is unique, harboring special abilities and skills that they can utilize in battle
• Can give the summoner an advantage in outnumbering the enemy
• Celestial spirits have mind of their own, allowing them to act independently

Weaknesses:

• As a summoning magic, the mage is at the mercy of spirits being compliant
• Certain spirits, especially high-ranked ones can forcefully close or open their gates, either leaving or entering the fight on their own
• Every single spirit has different strengths and health, forcing the mage to decide what spirit is best suited for the task at hand.
• If strong enough, celestial spirits can refuse to be summoned at all, leaving the mage in a rather problematic situation

Description:
Gardens of Eden, a magical world outside of Earthland itself that was created by Leila’s past self, Aurora, several thousands of years ago. A place that is filled with ivory white trees that bear azure blue leaves, filled with rich fauna and flora and beauty which cannot ever be forgotten once witnessed. Every single thing in this world has magic imbued inside of it, making them usable both inside and outside of combat. Because of this, humans tried to harness the power of this place several times throughout the history. But no one ever managed to fully succeed in control the power that the Gardens provided, showing that this magic might be simply just too much for an ordinary human to wield. At least that was the conclusion to which those who tried arrived. The truth is that the Gardens were created completely pure, far from any other world. A fragile purity like this is easily corrupted. The proof of this is the corrupt part of the Gardens, a vast field of dead trees and deadly mist. Such is the result of humanity touching the gardens with a hand of greed.

But to those who are connected to this place and can exist in harmony with it, the main thing that this magic provides is nearly absolute control over nature’s flora, utilizing vines, roots, and trees as the core of most attacks. But as the magic controls the entire Gardens, that is not the only thing Leila has under her control. She can summon just about any element that can be found inside of the dimension, utilizing it and shaping it to her own desires. Most common of these elements are wind, earth, and water. All of those can be easily used, but there might be few more that can appear on a rare occasion. After all, the entire dimension is at Leila's disposal and she might even find new ways of using it against her enemies, or for her allies.

As the magic itself was given to Leila by a demon before she created the dimension, it’s core is actually extremely dark magic. This fact is mostly masked by the beautiful Gardens and Leila’s good nature, however. This darkness swallowed the goddess in the past, causing her to go down an unsavory path that she came to regret. And in a moment of sorrow when she faced a peril of her best friend, she decided to sacrifice her own being to save what truly mattered. Through this, the girl sacrificed her godhood but remained connected to the realm after her revival. Or to be more precise, she had given the status of goddess back to the original being who created the world, Aurora. For the goddess was revived once more and now stands by the girl’s side.

From that point on, everything started evolving ever further than one could imagine. Leila became the Garden’s caretaker, a guardian of the world and the right hand of its goddess. Not only that, she also finally accepted her own shortcomings and the darkness which lies at the core of this magic. For the dark does not always equal evil. Accepting everything, the very nature of how Leila uses the magic changed too. Of course, that was still not the end, as a seal was placed on her body. One that deprived her of the ability to use magic. But while thinking this seal harmful, it was actually adjusting the girl's power and slowly elevating them to their absolute top.

Now that the seal is removed, Leila Vergious is once again capable of using her magic. The Ascended Gardens of Eden no longer focus on giving small portions of power to the user and instead, give all to the ones that reside in this Paradise world. A hybrid of summoning and caster magic thanks to its unique abilities, the Gardens of Eden can summon any spirit that resides within the Gardens or allows Leila to be imbued with their power directly. Now, she is one with the Gardens and all life within it.

Gardens of Eden
Unique Powers

First Unique Ability:
Celestial Origin

Summoning of creatures, be it Celestial spirits or familiars, often requires a great deal of power to keep these beings in the world of Earthland. A great strain is placed on the summoner and as such, many different restrictions come with control over such magic. However, the smarter and more intuitive mages started trying to combat these negative effects and overcome them. One of the best examples of this is so-called Star Dress. A power that allows one to assume the power of their spirit instead of directly summoning them. An ability that Leila herself learned to use with Eden's Celestium.

However, the ability slightly changed and evolved with the ascension of the Gardens. Originally,
it was Aurora who created this world and all spirits within it. She created them in her image and from her own power. Once Aurora's soul was split into two pieces, Leila came to be as well.
At the very core of all this, all Eden's spirits were originally part of one whole. And with the Garden's ascension, Leila now can bring about that origin temporarily. This gives her a new option - instead of summoning a spirit directly, she can summon them into an Origin state.
When summoned like this, the spirit and summoner will become one, and thus Leila shall gain all abilities of the spirit for her own use, the spirit's damage will be placed on top of Leila's own as a bonus and the spirit's health shall become a disposable shield protecting Leila.

As spirits summoned into the Origin state are not actively present on the battlefield, they also do not count toward the maximum number of summons a mage can have on the battlefield at one given time. Another side effect of this is that all keys of the Eden spirits have been returned into Leila's body and are no longer required to be directly held in order to summon. This technically transforms the magic into caster-type and allows Leila to have a limited number of special caster spells in the magic (Such as signature spells)

Second Unique Ability:
Summoning Impact

Summoning a spirit is never just a mundane thing to do. The act of doing so itself is something often very spectacular, a magical feat accompanied by visually pleasing warp gate opening and allowing the summoned minion to pass through and into this world to serve its master that it made a contract with. But while it is certainly a spectacle to behold, there is not much else to it other than the actual summoning itself.

Leila is someone who likes her actions to have as much meaning as they can, especially in situations when that matters, such as combat. For that very reason, she had begun to study the magical warp gates that allow celestial spirits to enter other worlds and do the thing they were summoned to do. And after a while, she came up with a fairly simple adjustment that can go a long way if used properly against her enemies whenever they are near.

With this unique ability, whenever Leila summons a celestial spirit, that spirit causes an invisible shockwave of energy the moment they enter the battlefield. This shockwave travels the maximal AoE range with the maximal AoE speed of that spirit's rank as defined by rules. All enemies caught in these shockwaves receive spell damage of the spirit's rank and thus give Leila a certain advantage. However, this requires a precise timing on Leila's part, as the shockwave occurs only after a spirit is summoned and not any other time.

Third Unique Ability:
Inseperable Connection

The bond between Leila and spirits of Eden goes much deeper than the bond of a summoner and their spirits. All life that exists in the Gardens was originally created by Aurora through magic alone and in the image of the Goddess herself. Leila, who shares a soul with Aurora, is a direct part of this bond even if she was not directly involved in the creation of life from what many would consider literally nothing.

Depending on how one looks at the situation, all spirits of Eden, including Leila and Aurora,
are members of a single family. Another way to look at it is that they are all technically clones.
Whichever version one chooses to believe most, one of the facts remains - the girl is very close to all life in the Gardens and the spirits themselves have originated from the power that courses through the Eden's guardian and caretaker. She is one, but they are many.

Through this bond, many things can be achieved. Most of them are simply for the convenience of life, such as the ability to communicate through telepathy rather than having to speak out loud.
But one of the aspects can be used in combat as well. As long as there is at least one spirit on the field outside of Origin state, Leila can freely move active status effects, both positive and negative ones, between her and her summons.

This extends to status effects of all kinds and without any limitations. However, if a status effect is moved between two entities, then it cannot be moved again until the next post, which makes it impossible to juggle around powerful buffs instantly. This also cannot be used with spirits in Origin state, as they are at that moment part of Leila herself and no transfer would actually happen.

Extra Unique Ability:
Vivid Dreaming

Whenever Leila is asleep, she will stay fully aware as if she was still completely awake in a similar fashion to lucid dreaming. In this state, she will be able to travel through the cleansed Dreamland and communicate with its spirits. Additionally, she can also visit other sleeping people in this state and interact with them in any way she desires, though they may dismiss all of this as mere unimportant dreams once they wake up.

Extra ability acquisition:
Defender of Dreamland

Primary Signature Spell:

Eden's Essence
Rank: S
Type: Offense ; utility ; multi-target
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: Instant

Description

The Gardens of Eden are a home to many different aspects and elements. But as one could easily assume, nature is very clearly the most dominant thing in the home of Eden spirits and Leila Vergious. The world itself is covered in vast forests, tall mountains, and beautiful crystal-clear lakes. But it does not end there, as this world was born from magic and magic alone. As a side-effect of this, everything from the smallest of stones to the biggest of creatures here is imbued and saturated with ethernano - magical particles that allow mages to cast their spells. With such high levels of magical energy, Leila was always capable of not only summoning the different spirits from this world but also nature itself to help her.

This might often come across as Leila manipulating the vegetation of whatever world she is currently present in, but the reality is that she opens small invisible gates to the Gardens of Eden from which seeds are sown and plants with trees grow. These are the ones that fall under the girl's absolute control and can flourish even in the most inhospitable places. But the earth itself is not the only place to which she can summon Eden's nature, as her body is part of that realm as well. As such, she can easily grow anything out of her own form or transform it to best fit the situation. Perhaps the most common example of this is the girl's trick to transform her fingers into claws and create a deadly close-ranged weapon.

In the past, corruption of humanity was spread through-out Eden and make the bark and leaves of trees appear gray and black. But after the ascension itself, most of this corruption was contained. Now, Eden's nature and essence are as pure as nature should be. While some might find it unfortunate that the color palette of the Gardens is no longer so unique, the green seems certainly a fair bit more healthy now. Outside of combat, this spell also loses all restrictions, allowing Leila to cover even an entire desert with green and transform it into the most beautiful oasis. Though any and all creations of Eden summoned outside of combat can no longer be manipulated if one enters combat afterward, making this spell not very useful for ambushes or preparations ahead of time.

Effects

Allows Leila to free-form nature in the area of 200 meters around her. The molded nature moves at the speed of 150 m/s and hits for S-ranked damage. If multiple enemies are hit in a single post, the damage is split among them all. All restrictions are removed outside of combat for plot purposes.

Strengths:

• Very versatile, as attack for any range can be formed as long as the maximal range is not exceeded
• Can possibly deal extra damage against enemies with elemental weaknesses
• Free-form gives Leila great deal of freedom in all situations

Weaknesses:

• Can not be used for defense in any way, only attack
• If multiple enemies are attacked, the damage is always divided equally and cannot be adjusted to where one would be damaged than another
• Damage of this spell cannot go over 100% of S-ranked damage without buffs, no matter how many strikes are performed in a single post

Secondary Signature Spell:

Eden's Gate
Rank: D
Type: Movement ; utility ; burst
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: Once per post

Description

As a world separate from Earthland itself, the Gardens of Eden cannot be entered by any normal means. And as a powerful magical energy resides within it, no regular magic can access it either. Leila and those with her permission are the only individuals who may enter this Paradise of a world. However, Leila is the only one who is directly capable of opening up a portal to this world. When activated, a fairly big circular black portal forms near the girl's body, swirling with a deep blue energy.

If one looks deeply into the dark, they can see the beautiful world on the other side, just out of reach until one enters the portal itself. Normally, it serves to transport between worlds alone. However, Leila learned how to focus this power and gained a very good precision with it over time. Now, she can easily open the gate instantly around herself and warp to Eden and back to near where she was in an instant. This results in an effective teleport. Though using the spell like this only results in very small hops rather than giant leaps. But the main use of this ability is still opening a gate to Eden from any point or any space where Leila might find herself.

The gate itself can be easily compared to the gates through which Celestial spirits travel to the land where their summoner needs them, but can be used from both sides and any creature or object that can fit through. The shape and size of the warp gate are determined by Leila herself during the opening of it. One should also remember that the girl does not let just anyone into her world and such privilege has to be earned through trust.

Effects

Allows Leila to teleport to anywhere that is no further than 15 meters away from her original position. Outside of combat, there is no limitation on the range for plot purposes.

Strengths:

• The effect takes place instantly, meaning Leila can get out of tight spot with a simple thought of this spell

Weaknesses:

• Range on the teleportation is rather limited, only 15 meters
• The teleportation range in combat also cannot be extended by any means

Description

Leila was originally born when Aurora's soul was split into two pieces. The bigger piece remained that which it was, Aurora Solari, ruler and creator of Gardens of Eden. But the smaller piece landed in Earthland and gained a new vessel grown by Eden's tree. Being named 'Leila Vergious' by a wandering Golem who took care of the young vessel, this piece of Aurora's soul gained a new will and it's own memories, separating it from the original form and creating its own ego.

This is required to understand if one wishes to understand what Leila is and what she can truly do. She and her past self, Aurora, are one and the same - beings that were born in the Void between worlds. When enough magical energy escaped from these words and clumped together, a miracle of creation would happen. The magic would gain somewhat physical form and sentience. It would be not wrong to say that Leila is thus quite literally magic.

In order to interact with the material world of Earthland, they both require a vessel. In Leila's case, she spent most of her life in one such vessel, her physical body. But it is still just that, a mere vessel while the girl's true form cannot be seen by ordinary humans and could be easily compared to the form of one's soul. All this leads to the simple fact of Leila being able to manipulate her vessel in certain ways.

She can easily 'grow' a new body with Eden's power and transfer her true self into it. But that is not quite what this ability is about. Over some time, she had grown her connection and affinity to the natural world, the world of animals that occupied Earthland long before humans came along. It is something she respects greatly. And now, she became partially connected to it. By manipulating the aspects of her vessel and adjusting it through her magic, she became capable of transforming herself in an instant.

The new form she can take on is one of a wolf, through a bit different from ones that can be found in the wild. Her fur becomes Silvery-white much like how her hair is when in human form. But most of her upper body is covered in green sparkling moss, as is her tail which is a fair bit longer than one of an average wolf. Despite being different to the norm, she enjoys this new look a good bit and often uses it to slip into the veil of nature without being considered an outsider.

Effects

Allows Leila to transform into a wolf at any time. Form in which she has 25% faster speed and can still use all equipment and spells. Weapons are placed on her back and moved with magical force without being touched.

Second Passive:

One with All
Rank: D
Type: Passive
Penalty: -2% MP

Description

Leila is the one who can easily command and ancient and Lost magic called Gardens of Eden. But she is also someone who had spent many years on Earthland, studying it with great detail and learning much about this world. When combining the results of her extensive studies with the properties of her own magic, she discovered a new type of spell she could apply to herself in order to make transportation and general movements much more effective and accessible for her during all possible situations.

Being constantly infused with this special magical energy, she now has the passive ability to fluidly move around in any environment or conditions, allowing feats such as kicking off any and all surfaces, including even ever-changing ones. She can move with complete ease on land, air, water or anything else. Not only that, she can shift around the structure of her physical body in order to freely traverse through any solid non-magical surfaces and obstacles without even slowing down.

Effects

Allows for movement on any surface, including land, air, water and more as well as the ability to walk through solid non-magical matter.

Libra:

Zodiac key, Libra
~Gate of Heavenly Scales~
Rank: H
Type: Summoning
Duration: 20 posts
Cooldown: Once per thread

Description

Libra, the most unique spirit in the hands of Leila Vergious. Not only is this because of her Zodiac status, but also the fact that she is an actual Celestial Spirit rather than one born in Eden. Despite that, this Zodiac spirit was in Leila's possession from nearly the very start, as the girl had found the golden key right after she learned of her ability to open celestial gates.

As a spirit from the Celestial Realm, Libra has absolutely no set role in the Gardens of Eden but still chooses to spend a good deal of time in her master's world. Much like any proper celestial summoner, Leila has spent a long time forming a strong bond with her spirits, gaining affection toward them while they would also get more protective of her. And Libra, who has been present pretty much from the very start, has raised up in these aspects greatly.

Due to her Zodiac status, she is also easily the strongest of Leila's spirits and can only be rivaled by Aurora herself, a goddess of Eden that cannot even be summoned by normal means. Her symbol is the Scales as she is the Zodiac of balance, one who stands at the border of peace and chaos. From this, her magic was born as an absolute control over gravity itself, allowing her to keep it in check or unleash its chaos and end about the normal order everyone knows and enjoys if she so pleases.

Her personality is one of a kind and mature woman, often looking after her summoner and ensuring her safety when she can, but also making certain that she does not get in the girl's way unless she is asked to do so. In combat, she usually stands back and performs her attacks from distance, though she is perfectly capable of being engaged in close range combat, as one could easily guess from her weapon of choice.

Strangely enough, Libra also seems to be the only spirit Leila has in possession that has more than one physical form. While this does not enhance, nor give Libra any new abilities, she can transform into a wolf at will. When she does so, her fur will be dark with a star-like pattern to reflect the infinite darkness of space with many stars lighting it up, a bright symbol of the scales on her forehead. In this form, she can still use all of her abilities the same as if she was human, the only difference being her weapon that will instead be suspended floating slightly above her back and used with magical force to perform melee swipes.

The katana Libra uses is in a far eastern style, an oriental piece of weaponry that could fit any collector's cabinet. However, it has very little actual magical abilities aside from blade made out of metal that conducts ethernano very well for the sake of casting spells. This seems to be very rare among spirits, as their weapons are usually part of the spirit itself. But in this case, the Zodiac seems to be using a weapon completely unrelated to her. The length is fairly standard for a weapon of this type.

As far as her human appearance goes, Zodiacs seem to change their looks based on their new owner to best fit the new master's preference. While this explains why mentions of these powerful spirits always seem to be a bit different in the recorded history, Leila always found it unlikely that she would have created a dark-skinned beauty with long raven hair, hazel eyes and wearing somewhat revealing black yukata. Though she had accepted this spirit's look and the two of them are now very closely tied together.

Strengths:

• A powerful spirit that boasts the Zodiac status, Libra has an extra ability slot that gives her an extra edge in the combat
• Due to her bond with her summoner, Libra is willing to do almost anything for Leila and will very likely follow all of her commands without question
• Can force her own gate open, sometimes being able to save Leila from an unpleasant situation at the very last moment

Weaknesses:

• Like other powerful spirits and spells, Libra requires a great deal of magical energy to be consumed before she can be summoned
• Places a great stress on the summoner's body when called forth, making Libra a spirit that can be summoned only once per thread
• Can force her own gate open, sometimes causing Leila to spend large amount of energy when it might not have been entirely necessary

Abilities

Active ability:

Name: Gravitational Core
Duration: 1 posts
Cooldown: 10 posts
Spell that can shift gravity partially or completely in a certain space or for a target. Once that is done, all unbound objects in 300 meters wide area will start moving towards the affected target at speed reaching up to 225 meters per second, damaging and restraining the target for a single post. The damage itself is caused by rubble being forced against the affected target, resulting in S-ranked spell damage.
Passive ability:

Name: Gravity manipulation I
For as long as Libra is summoned, she can manipulate an area of 300 meters all around her.
The gravity in this area will be adjusted depending on Leila's judgment, either slowing all enemies down by 60% or speeding up all allies by 60%. This ability is a toggle on/off, but there is a cooldown of a single post before the effect can be changed after taking place.
Extra - Passive ability:

Name: Gravity manipulation II
As the Zodiac spirit that specializes in controlling gravitation, Libra has a complete control over it. While she’s summoned, gravity in the area of 300 meters all around her is completely under her control. This allows her to extend her attacks via actions like shooting out waves of heavy gravity to extend her regular attacks when melee attacks are not a good idea or to extend attacks done by her katana the same way. It also allows Libra to move smaller objects in the controlled area in any way she desires at the speed of 225 meters per second, levitation and other. All offensive actions done this way do not add any extra damage and simply extend existing attacks done by the spirit.

Yuki:

Eden’s unknown key, Yuki
~Gate of Eden's Frozen Dragon~
Rank: S+
Type: Summoning
Duration: 10 posts
Cooldown: 11 posts

Description

Easily the single most important spirit in the Gardens of Eden after Aurora and Leila themselves. Yuki does not only belong to the first generation of Eden spirits, she is, in fact, the very first and thus oldest among the residents of the Gardens. Despite that, she had retained a child-like appearance due to her restrictions on power. Though her personality is far from one of an actual child.

When Aurora first created Gardens of Eden, it was but an empty world devoid of all life sentient life. Plants and trees were aplenty, yes. But those made for a poor company for the goddess. So in time, she created even more life, this time in her own image. And just like that, a small girl with animal-like features was born. And thus began the first generation of spirits in the new world, for, without Yuki herself, none of the other spirits would exist either.

Aurora was capable of creating life, yes. But forming an actual sentient being took more effort than she thought it would. As such, she required some sort of medium for the later creations. Yuki became precisely that, as, through her, the goddess became able to give life to more and more spirits until there was the entire first generation. This came to a stop when Aurora's soul was split into two pieces and Leila Vergious was born. With only half of her soul, Aurora became incapable of creating more spirits and grew immobile in the core of the Gardens. Intrigued by the other half that became Leila, Yuki finally materialized her own key and gave it to the summoner. Though their relationship was quite rocky at first, forcing the dragon girl to question where her loyalty stands, the two managed to end up quite the good friends and members of one family, willing to protect one another.

As the first spirit, Yuki is considered to be the strongest spirit in Eden itself right after Aurora and Leila. Though a portion of her power still lays sealed away, forcing on the child-like body and placing her in the same ranks as the rest of Eden's elite spirits. As one could guess from her title and name, her powers revolve around the manipulation of ice and frost. She is mostly a very mobile close-ranged fighter who delivers powerful blows faster than the enemy can defend and heal.

She does not use a weapon of any kind, always relying on her bare fists and feet to down her foe. Her outfit does not provide much in the way of protection either but allows for great flexibility. Usually dressed in nothing more than a white-colored short yukata and black thigh-highs, she does not even ever wear any footwear or hand protection. If there is one practical thing that the ice magic gives her, it's the immunity to feeling cold with this little clothing on.

Her personality is yet another thing that greatly clashes with the girl's looks, as she wears completely expressionless poker face almost all the time, never allowing anyone to discover what she might be thinking. Her comments can be very sharp and harsh to anyone who is not from the Gardens of Eden and it is extremely difficult to get on her good side even with the help of Leila herself. But she is loyal beyond belief and will never abandon her master's side.

Yuki's dominion within the Gardens is a cavern deep beneath the core of the world, one which is nearly completely frozen over with cold winds blowing through it at all times. Due to her element affinity, this naturally does not bother her in the slightest, though it makes it much harder for any other spirits to visit her. At the center of her dominion is a Cold core that supports the true core of Eden, regulating elemental magic and thus making the cave the second most important location within the Gardens.

Strengths:

• Both active and passive abilities boast strong status changing capabilities
• Can freely fly around the battlefield during combat

Weaknesses:

• Even with wings, Yuki is unable to carry anyone into the air
• Frost Nova can easily affect allies as well as enemies if they're standing too close

Abilities

Active ability:

Name: Frozen Nova
Duration: 10 posts
Cooldown: 11 posts
Releasing a wave of cold energy that extends up to 200 meters all around Yuki, she can partially cover her enemies in ice. Only the part of the enemy’s body that is facing Yuki at that point is actually frozen, however. If this ice-covered part of their bodies is attacked, the attack’s damage will be boosted by 50% unless the attack is fire based. If that’s the case, the ice will melt right away before the duration expires.
Passive ability:

Name: Dragon's frozen armor
Whenever Yuki enters combat, her body starts emitting cold. Frozen wings appear behind her back, allowing for temporary flight. Light armor of ice also forms all over her body, making magical energy course through her body and increases her movement and reflex speed by 50% while also making her basic speed the same as Leila’s. This ability can be toggled on and off.

Aria:

Eden’s stellar key, Aria
~Gate of Unbending Nature’s Will~
Rank: S
Type: Summoning
Duration: 10 posts
Cooldown: 11 posts

Description

Aria is a special Eden spirit of Second Generation. Despite coming after the first mighty four, she still grew powerful enough to hold her own against the likes of Yuki and Lisette, placing her among the elite spirits of Eden despite her young age and lesser experience with actual real combat. And despite her raw power, she does try her best to actually catch up to her peers by actively trying to nudge Leila toward summoning her and gathering all kinds of experiences in the Earthland whenever she can.

Her place in the Gardens of Eden themselves is also somewhat strange. While there are more Eden spirits with not quite defined roles, they usually never manage to amass this much power. Aria was born in the breath of the Guardian tree that grows in the core of the Gardens, filling her every bit. Her skin grew darker as if trying to get closer to the dirt that forms Garden's soil. Her hair silver with a faint hint of gold, as if trying to mimic the vast fields of wheat, ready to be harvested. She became the will of Gaia, mother Earth that lives and breathes.

Despite that, her personality seems to be far from mature at times, as she can be very childish and curious about the world as a freshly born babe. There is also little to no malice or anger lingering within the child, giving her the option to see the world through innocent eyes. This makes her into a playful character that can also serve as a great moral support for anyone who might happen to be fighting by her side. Of course, she can get angry and take things seriously as well but tends to not do so until there is simply no other option available.

Another thing that is unique about this spirit is her method of fighting. While most spirits have a certain weapon of choice or at least rely on their limbs to deal damage, Aria completely relies on her own abilities that allow her to take control of just about anything. From outside, her powers can be seen as corruption that takes hold of everything around her, while in reality she simply returns and gives life to what came from the earth in the first place. It is a fighting style that also emphasizes the fact that she has a strategic mind and uses all around her to her advantage.

Complimentary to her appearance, she wears a surprisingly little clothing-wise, but just enough to not appear indecent to the wide public. All important parts of her body are always covered with a black leotard. Around her waist, she also has tied a fairly long piece of fabric that can be used to cover up more of her body if the need ever arises. Much like Leila herself, Aria also possesses certain animal-like qualities such as fluffy ears, tail, and fangs.

Her dominion is an old ruin at the very edge of the Gardens themselves. There was never a structure of stone that would be old and vast enough to produce this area, as the spirit of Gaia created it from the very first stone herself and simply for the fact that she adores such setting. The seemingly old area is just as old as the second generation of Eden spirits is, but the cold sone has long since been covered with moss and wildflowers started adorning the floors. In the depths of this dungeon, Aria remains and decorates the place until her services are required.

Strengths:

• Is capable of using the environment around her to her advantage through her magic
• As a very cheerful spirit, Aria can prove to be a good moral support for other spirits or allies

Weaknesses:

• Aira's playful nature can sometimes prevent her from taking fights seriously
• Lack of a proper weapon can leave the spirit unable to properly deal damage

Abilities

Active ability:

Name: Nature's blessing
Duration: 5 posts
Cooldown: 8 posts
Kneeling down and praying to Gaia, mother Earth, a field of beautiful flowers will grow and blossom all around Aria in the range of 200 meters. All of these flowers will let out a special magical pollen that carries healing properties, cleansing all allies of negative status effects caused by spells of lower rank than Aria and then applying healing over time to them, having everyone affected recover 50% of S-ranked damage for the next 5 posts until the total of 250% S-ranked damage is healed.
Passive ability:

Name: Earthen Will
Aria's special ability that allows her to turn any environment into a weapon. At any moment,
she can send out a wave of energy into the area of 100 meters around her and infuse all non-magical objects and wildlife with her energy, bending it to her will. Like this, she can do anything from creating weapons out of mud to forming giants of stone. All creations of this kind will deal Aria's regular damage and act in the stead of her weapon. If a long-ranged creation is formed, it will shoot at the speed of 300 m/s.

Lisette:

Eden’s unknown key, Lisette
~Gate of Sleeping Maiden of Horrors~
Rank: A+
Type: Summoning
Duration: 9 posts
Cooldown: 10 posts

Description

Member of the first generation who is often referred to as the horror of the Gardens, Lisette is a little bit different to the others spirits that can be found within the Gardens of Eden. When the Gardens were created, Earthland did not yet even exists. But after thousands of years passing, the world of humans came to be and said humans became interested in what was beyond the border of known, using magic to extend their reach and manipulate things that were previously outside of the realm of possibilities.

One of the things they have discovered was Gardens of Eden, among other worlds. But Aurora's realm was different, for it could not be accessed through regular magic or magical devices as the worlds beyond Wakusei Portals. This lead certain mages to believe that the Gardens were filled with unbound powers they could use for their own ends. And they were correct. This unknown world was truly saturated with magic, but it was untouched by humans for a long time.

And so, when the greedy ones tried to forcefully take pieces of Eden for themselves, the realm became partially corrupted. The spirits managed to eventually fight off all mages and ensure that all records about Gardens of Eden were lost, or at least most of them. But the corruption of Humanity remained and turned part of the Paradise into a withered forest that is slowly killing all which enters it. However, there is one spirit who got lost in this forest and did not die, but instead grew accustomed to it and made it her new home against common sense to avoid all that could corrupt and kill.

That is Lisette, the corrupted spirit of the Gardens. She roams the sealed-off corrupted land, negative emotions ruling over her body and mind. Without a doubt one of the strongest spirits, but also the most aggressive one, Lisette almost never listens to Leila's orders and can easily break out of her control, doing whatever she wants. The fact she often thirsts for blood distances her even from the other spirit, as she remains the lurking horror everyone in the paradise fears.

This is not aided at all by the fact that she chose a pair of golden scissors as her main weapons. Wielding one in each hand, she uses these sharp tools, not for their intended use, but to cut the flesh of her enemies and pierce their organs with swift jabs. When it comes down to combat, she is often swift and merciless, not hesitating one bit to slaughter her enemies in contrast to all the other spirits and even her summoner who avoids killing at all times. Her behavior is extremely aggressive and nearly unpredictable as well.

For her outfit, she chooses a surprisingly combat-unfriendly beige dress with a corset to keep it more steady. Not that she really cares, as she is always willing to cut through her own clothes if they happen to be keeping her away from cutting down the enemy. If summoned along with other spirits, she might sometimes attack them as well, nearly always outright refusing to work with them to any capacity and going off alone to deal with things her own, much more bloody, way.

Strengths:

• As a heavily attacked focused spirit who goes directly after her pray, Lisette is capable of dealing damage faster than most spirit who proceed with greater caution
• Has abilities that can make her very deadly due to her focus if the enemy does not defeat her fast enough

Weaknesses:

• Lisette is completely uncontrollable, even by Leila. This means she will choose her own targets as she pleases
• Her aggressive nature and knowledge of own immortality mean that she usually cares not for defense. Even with her higher HP, she can die rather quickly because of this
• Being higher-ranked summon, Lisette can force her own gate shut, leaving the battlefield prematurely when she doesn’t want to fight

Abilities

Active ability:

Name: Bloodied Scissors
Duration: 5 posts
Cooldown: 8 posts
Lisette can perform a deep strike with her two pairs of scissors, making the enemy bleed. This spell is used on a regular melee attack that will then inflict damage over time along with the regular damage, bleeding the affected enemy for 50% of A-ranked damage for the 5 posts, eventually dealing a total of 250% S-ranked damage.
Passive ability:

Name: Mirrored Malice
Lisette is the mistress of mirrors, a reflection of dread that stares back. She can summon a mirror copy of herself once per post with the cap of two copies total that will fight along with her.
These copies share the same HP bar with the original but will break completely if they receive more than 100 damage. Their attacks deal the same damage as the original and they can all use the original's active spell, though they all share the same cooldown as well.

Harpae:

Eden’s stellar key, Harpae
~Gate of Maiden of Pristine Eyes~
Rank: A
Type: Summoning
Duration: 7 posts
Cooldown: 8 posts

Description

A first generation Eden spirit, Harpae is the one Leila has closest to an older sister. Always one who will care for her summoner's well being, and that both in and outside of combat, this mysterious beauty is the one who will always be around when the Eden's Caretaker needs a shoulder to lean on. And the fact she has been around from the very beginning of Eden's Celestium only deepens this bond.

There is also something that makes this spirit much stronger than the rest, albeit not in the department of raw power. Harpae is the only spirit in Eden that has a permanent disability that actually affects her daily life - she is completely blind. Her eyes are dyed in a beautiful sky blue and reflect the life that is within her but can no longer tell her what she should see all around her. Despite this disadvantage, the girl had learned how to properly function in her day to day life, as well as in combat when she is helping her summoner or the other spirits.

But this disability does play a large part in the girl's behavior. Due to her inability to see anything at all, she constantly feels that there is a need for her to outperform the rest in order to show that she is indeed capable of taking care of herself. No matter how kindly will one offer their help, she will always try to refuse and do everything by herself, even if it is at expense of taking more time or consuming more energy. This is often to a fault and when anyone forces themselves in to help her, it will usually result in the girl's mood dropping greatly.

Generally, she has her dirty blonde hair loose and adorned with a small blue ribbon. Despite being a spirit that can be summoned for battle, she wears a dress of white and matching blue that tightly embraces her slender body. Thankfully, her fighting style usually does not require to move too nimbly anyway. This is enforced by the fact that her weapon of choice is a magical bow she uses to damage enemies from a distance whenever she can. Despite being blind, she can still locate her targets through magical energy sensing as well as her other senses.

The bow is also very reminiscent of an old legendary treasure of Eden, the Bow of Fated moon that Leila used on many occasions. But this is simply a mere coincidence in the weapon's appearances. Unlike the treasured weapon, this one is simple just a silver bow that does not possess any special abilities outside of being able to create magical arrows, which allows the spirit to fire at will without the need for keeping spare arrows on their person.

Harpae's dominion is a seemingly old house that resides deep within the forests of Eden. While it appears rather unkept on the outside, the interior could not be any cleaner. There is one problem, however. As the girl is blind and does not rely on her sight, the entirety of the house is plunged in a complete darkness, nearly all windows are either boarded up or obstructed by furniture. Only a handful of candles illuminates each room and hall, though their true purpose is for Harpae to recognize where the corners of each room are through her hearing alone.

Strengths:

• Is very protective of Leila and will usually shield her with no regard to the consequences
• Capable of good damage at distance output and even rooting enemies in place

Weaknesses:

• Her blindness can be disadvantageous in combat
• The stubborn nature can cause Harpae to get out of line at times

Abilities

Active ability:

Name: Blessing of the fated Moon
Duration: Instant + 1 post charge
Cooldown: 5 posts
Harpae’s simple bow is reminiscent of an old treasure from Eden. Only Leila herself was ever capable of using the actual Bow of fated Moon. But it’s blessing can be bestowed on anyone who roams the Gardens. With a quiet prayer, Harpae will raise her weapon to the skies as a faint outline of the moon will appear above her, regardless of the time of day. Its light will bless her weapon and make it glow silver, enhancing its properties.
Taking aim, several roots and vines will emerged from whichever platform Harpae is standing on, holding her in place for a single post as she charges up the shot. Several magical circles will appear in front of the arrow before it’s finally fired, speeding it up greatly. This makes the arrow fly at 150% of regular spells speed (337m/s) for a distance of 300 meters. The enemy hit by the arrow receives full A-ranked damage and is knocked out of balance.
Passive ability:

Name: Nature’s hunter
What once used to be Leila’s fusion with the Bow of fated Moon was now also adopted by the blind spirit. While her bow might not seem like much, she can infuse it with her own magical energy and connect it to Eden temporarily. With this, all enemies hit with it’s arrows will be suddenly rooted in place with vines, provided they are of a lower rank than Harpae herself. This movement restriction lasts 1 post only and can affect each enemy only once per thread.

Ignite:

Eden’s stellar key, Ignite
~Gate of Golden Phoenix~
Rank: A
Type: Summoning
Duration: 7 posts
Cooldown: 8 posts

Description

All spirits of Eden are created through the first spirit, Yuki, by Aurora or Leila. And there is truly no other spirit that could be so easily identified as Leila's creation as this one. Resembling a Harpy in appearance, Ignite was named after the summoner's ex-guild master's pet phoenix and is precisely that. A phoenix of the Gardens of Eden, Ignite's hands are transformed into giant feather-covered appendages as a golden flame surrounds her and gives her powers beyond the capabilities of normal spirits.

Her skin dyed dark by the heat produced by the flames, even the rest of her body is covered in smaller and pleasant to touch feathers instead of regular clothes. A crown sits atop her golden hair, proclaiming her the queen of Phoenixes she was created to be, an eternal reminder that there was once a guild named Golden Phoenix. A family that Leila once had and that will forever remain in her heart and now is part of the Gardens, it will rise from ashes as many times as it will have to in order to continue on living.

However, she is a little bit less developed than most Eden spirits in the spiritual area. Usually reacting very little to the outside stimuli, she has slight difficulties interacting with the world around her in any meaningful way. Like a child that has yet to learn all about proper behavior and discovery, she remains mostly passive if not given an order. She tends to stay very close to Leila at all times when summoned and will not let anyone she does not know get anywhere near her summoner either. A protective nature she had developed right after creation.

The phoenix's fighting style is also quite simple, as she seems to rely on her raw flaming power to reduce all enemies to ashes, or at least burn them enough to give up. Even when not engaged in active combat, she emits warmth and her entire body is heated up and very pleasant to touch. The flames that she seems to constantly create also only burn those she wishes to burn and will never hurt anyone she deems friendly, even if they directly touch them repeatedly. The unfortunate fact is that these flames also do not burn hot enough to cause damage in combat unless Ignite activates her spell to properly form them and use them to destroy the enemy.

Her dominion lies atop the greatest mountain in the Gardens of Eden. There is not much of elevated ground, to begin with, but this one single point overlooks the entire world. If one can scale the great Phoenix Mountain of Eden, they will find a flat plateau covered in ashes and warm embers. In the middle, a giant Sun crystal that generates heat and light, a stone that the Phoenix forever guards. Ignite leaves this position only when she is called by Leila to action and shall not let anyone, even other spirits, touch the Sunstone without a direct approval from the Caretaker of Eden.

Strengths:

• Is extremely protective of Leila and will shield her no matter the consequences
• Can deal high amounts of damage if her abilities are utilized properly

Weaknesses:

• Has the most childish mind of all spirits in the area of not understanding the world around her
• Without human hands, Ignite cannot use any weapons designed for humanoid creatures

Abilities

Active ability:

Name: Prophecy of the Five Hellswords
Duration: 5 posts
Cooldown: 8 posts
A lesser version of what was once a guild spell of the Golden Phoenix, a treasure-hunting guild. When activated, Ignite's flames will form five golden swords all around her that she can then launch. Only one sword can be thrown per post, but this allows them to travel a distance up to 225 meters at the speed of 165 m/s. When the sword hits, be it its target or the ground, a flaming pillar of 75 meters is formed around it that then deals 50% of A-ranked damage to anyone that touches it. If all five of these manage to hit, a total of 250% A-ranked damage can be dealt.
Passive ability:

Name: Aviator's Zone
When summoned, Ignite will constantly generate an aura all around her with the reach of 75 meters. Enemies in this zone will find themselves restricted, as they will be unable to take to the skies or even teleport unless they use a spell for this effect that is of a rank higher than Ignite herself. The spirit herself is also capable of passive flight with her wings at the same speed as her regular movement.

Eden’s stellar key, Shiro
~Gate of Eden's ivory white shadow~
Rank: C
Type: Summoning
Duration: 5 posts
Cooldown: 6 posts

Description

Shiro is a curious spirit of second generation that differs from the other regular spirits and is more akin to Aurora rather than Leila in the way she acts. While the rest of the Garden’s inhabitance who are most like sisters or friends to the summoner, Shiro is assuming more the role of a mother. It is entirely possible that she was created with this mindset, as Leila never had a mother-like figure in her life and could have subconsciously wished for someone like that.

Whether that is true or not is not actually known, however. And as there is more or less no way to be absolutely sure, meaning this little fact will remain a mystery forever. Regardless, Shiro seems to be enjoying her act as a motherly figure to Leila Vergious, albeit her personality seems to be somewhat stoic. Quite expressionless in a way very similar to the first spirit of Eden, Yuki, she rarely shows a frown or smile for someone other than Leila herself. She is also always very eager to offer a warm embrace or even a lap pillow whenever her summoner appears to be tired.

Not only that, her appearance, in general, is quite similar to that of Yuki, perhaps hinting at some inner motive of an actual family for Leila who stands at the center of it all. Long snow-white hair rests on Shiro’s head, along with ears and tail of a fox, deep blue eyes, and a pale-ish skin. Her outfit is of eastern style, similar to a kimono of blue and white colors. Much like Yuki, this one also never seems to be wearing any shoes at all, protecting her feet with nothing but a thin layer of cloth from thigh-highs or other leg-wear that is there more for style than anything else instead.

She also often shows up without even asking. Usually, only the most powerful of spirits can actually force their own gate open. And yet, Shiro appears to have absolutely no issue with transporting herself from the Gardens of whatever world her summoner is in at the moment. This can be both good and bad, as she obviously can enter combat at moment’s notice and save her allies in whatever way she chooses without the need for Leila’s quick judgment and decision making. The bad side of this is that this specific spirit is capable of forcing her gate open just to give Leila a hug or ask how she’s doing.

When it comes to combat, she is a surprisingly close-range focused spirit. Her weapon of choice is a sword made out of light, appearing as if its blade was made out of transparent crystal that shines and reflects the beauty of a night’s sky. Thousands of stars are adorning the blade’s surface at nearly all times and are said to carry a celestial energy of Eden that Shiro seems to be sometimes utilizing. Her fighting style is very straightforward as well, as she usually just charges head first into the battle and starts slashing away seemingly with little care for strategy unless she is directly told what to do.

Unlike most spirits, she also has no actual dominion she would rule over. Instead, she has unsurprisingly chosen to share home with Leila herself, a simple looking home fairly close to the Guardian Tree. This naturally allows her to stay as close to her summoner as possible whenever the girl actually is present in the Gardens themselves and might be one of the explanations as to how Shiro is able of forcing her own gate open despite her lower power compared to her peers. Thankfully there are no spiteful spirits that would envy this ability of hers, but who is to say how things will turn out in the future.

Strengths:

• Boasts a powerful boost to both one’s damage and speed
• Willing to take charge in battle and protect Leila at all cost

Weaknesses:

• Often forces her own gate open just to give Leila a hug, consuming a lot of her magical energy unnecessarily
• Both abilities have very clear visual cues that can be obnoxious or even disadvantageous when fighting observant enemies

Abilities

Active ability:

Name: Star of might
Duration: 5 posts
Cooldown: 6 posts
Shiro wields the celestial power of Eden rather than the power of nature like most spirits. Due to the nature of the Gardens, this element is just as much of a part of the world as anything else. When activating this specific spell, Shiro or a single one of her allies can be blessed by the white star of Eden, appearing as a shining symbol on the target’s back. This star will actively increase the target’s spell damage by 60% for the entire duration.
Passive ability:

Name: Star of speed
Capable of toggling on and off a ring of white and blue light around her body, Shiro can extend a blessing of speed to herself and all her allies that are in the range of at least 30 meters. This blessing will increase the speed of all allies affected by 50% until the ability is toggled off again.

Ellen:

Eden’s stellar key, Ellen
~Gate of Autumn leaves falling~
Rank: C
Type: Summoning
Duration: 5 posts
Cooldown: 6 posts

Description

Ellen is a second generation spirit who was born with the Ascension of the Gardens and their transition from white age to a colorful age. In the past, all grass and leaves in the Gardens of Eden were of azure blue color while everything rest was ivory white and silver, safe for the corrupted land that boasts several shades of gray and black. This has mostly changed with the ascension of the Gardens, as the world became much more akin to Earthland in its nature and color palette.

And with this change, Ellen was born as the one who would carry colors across all of this world. For this, she was given the appearance of a young female with a pair of antlers, light brown hair and green eyes. Her attire is always colorful, a bright red kimono covered in a heavy furred cloak of many colors, ranging from green to yellow and even blue, all shades of these colors present. A motive of colorful autumn leaves is also ever-present on the lower part of the girl’s attire. A motive that is actually present in the entire spirit’s existence, from her gate’s name to even her abilities.

She is a calm spirit that appreciates all forms of beauty and art, Being perhaps one of the most expressive spirits present in the Gardens of Eden. Unlike most of the other spirits, she is capable of writing at a much greater level, drawing like a professional and even composing songs. She is never one to get into arguments and only very rarely shows negative emotions. Capable of remaining calm and collected even in the direst of situations, she makes for a good spirit when it comes down to dealing with a crisis. However, she is not one to enjoy combat all too much.

While she will follow orders and commands nearly at all times, she will subtly try to retreat or not actively participate in battle when she is summoned into one. After all, she is one to show just how beautiful and colorful the world can be, not make it bleak and completely dyed in crimson red color. That said, she will put her feelings aside if her help is required in order to save someone who might be in trouble at the moment. She has respect for other living creatures and values life itself perhaps above everything else, trying to protect it at all cost, even her own well-being at times.

Her weapon, or in this case - tool, of choice is a simple looking umbrella. Ellen is always seen carrying it around, even if such thing is not required for the current weather. When spun, colorful autumn leaves seem to appear and when folded, the umbrella can be easily used as a weapon similar to a staff of sorts. One would expect the girl not be very flexible due to her heavy and bulky clothes, yet she is capable of dancing on the battlefield if she is required to. And while she usually also tends to stand on the more defensive side, she is not afraid to strike enemies down given enough reasons.

Ellen’s dominion is the East side of the great Forest that stretches across most of the Gardens. It is the smallest portion of this forest, but still provides plenty of room for the spirit and many others that chose this part of the world as their home. It also borders the Sea of Stars, one of the newer additions to the Gardens and home to other spirits that Leila has the ability to summon. Although this is a place that belongs to the spirit, Ellen actually only rarely spends time in this part of the forest, as she often visits others places in the Gardens in order to bring new joy to them by conversing and interacting with other spirits.

Strengths:

• As a very friendly spirit toward her allies, Ellen can easily boost morale on the battlefield
• Great spirit for more defensive or tactical approaches due to her special abilities

Weaknesses:

• She does not advocate for battle and will fight with slight dislike to it
• Can only mask one’s physical form, not their interactions with the world around them

Abilities

Active ability:

Name: Autumn Gate
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts
As a spirit that rarely stands in one place and often moves about the entire Gardens, Ellen has created a method of efficient travel that allows her to quickly hop from one place to another. Gathering the autumn leaves that seem to appear around her, she can have them swirl in a circular motion and create a warp gate to any place that is no more than 30 meters away in combat and with no distance limit out of combat. This gate will remain for the next 2 posts and can be used by anyone who passed through.
Passive ability:

Name: Hidden in the Autumn leaves
Wherever Ellen goes, the colorful Autumn leaves follow. Infused with magical energy, they can actually adjust and distort space around them. The highest quantity of them is always in the range of 30 meters all around her. In this range, Ellen herself and her allies become invisible thanks to the leaves all around them. However, all sounds they make are still perfectly audible, making it possible for anyone careful enough to locate those hidden away by this ability. The invisibility is also temporarily broken whenever an invisible individual attacks or casts a spell.

Fleta:

Eden’s stellar key, Fleta
~Gate of Eden's Fledgling Princess~
Rank: D
Type: Summoning
Duration: 3 posts
Cooldown: 4 posts

Description

One of the first generation spirits and at the same time, the weakest member of said generation. And like the rest of the first generation spirits, she does not truly resemble anything specific that could be found in the Gardens. Instead, she is a split image of Aurora and her childish side. This can be observed in many aspects of Fleta, a girl that always carries a small doll with her wherever she goes. Above all, she calls herself Eden’s princess, as she is a leader of an entire pumpkin kingdom.

As far as her appearance goes, she is a very young girl with blond hair, deep green eyes and fair skin. She always wears dresses of some kind and almost always in the color scheme that uses red and pink colors. Even when summoned to the battlefield, she will refuse to wear anything else and insist that royalty has to be visually above the rest of the society. That said, she is not exactly a combat-oriented spirit in the first place. A fact that is somewhat unusual for one of the very first spirits. Even after the ascension of the Gardens, Fleta’s power has not increased in any way, shape, or form.

Her bossy nature and self-proclaimed royal title cause other spirits to generally avoid the spoiled little Fleta, though there are some capable of tolerating her and existing alongside her when summoned. She does not possess any weapons at all, but always carries with her a stuffed doll that she might use to defend herself from time to time. She also has no defined fighting strategy and desperately tries to flee whenever danger draws close. If she is somehow forced to engage an enemy, she will always start flailing madly in hopes to somehow come out of the struggle alive.

Her dominion is a giant mansion in the west part of Eden’s forest and it’s immediate surrounding area. As the pumpkins she rules over and is capable of summoning are part of her spiritual form and ego, they are also ever-present in this part of the Gardens. It is perhaps due to this that the house she stays in could house several families without the slightest of problems. In her own style, the entire building is done in mostly pink and white colors adorned with only the cutest of items. Around the house lies a fairly big hedge maze where most of the pumpkins can be found, allegedly along with their pumpkin king.

Strengths:

• Capable of sending a whole party of people to pretty much anywhere on Earthland, as long as it’s out of combat
• Summons a lot of annoying, yet adorable sentient carved pumpkins

Weaknesses:

• Likes to disobey, sometimes not using her ability right away when she’s asked to do something
• Will completely ignore requests from anyone who isn’t the mage who summoned her, only responding to them in insults

Abilities

Active ability:

Name: Royal Envoy
Duration: Instant + 1 post charge
Cooldown: 5 posts
The entire world is Fleta’s kingdom! Or at least she wishes that it would be, but it really isn’t. Still, she is very much capable of teleporting Leila and her allies to any desired location. However, the process takes a post of preparation and cannot be performed during combat at all. If, somehow, Fleta is hurt or otherwise interrupted during the preparation, the spell will also fail and enter cooldown.
Passive ability:

Name: Pumpkin Surprise
For as long as Fleta is summoned, random carved pumpkins will spawn all around the battlefield. Two pumpkins will be summoned per post and they’re capable of talking in annoying, high-pitched voice. They’re incapable of attacking anything or anyone, but they can explode at will, leaving a stack of randomly colored smoke that will spread to 15 meters wide area. If they’re attacked, the same will happen automatically. The explosions deal no damage.

Hoshi:

Eden’s stellar key, Hoshi
~Gate of Stars lost in Time~
Rank: D
Type: Summoning
Duration: 3 posts
Cooldown: 4 posts

Description

A spirit of the second generation, Hoshi is another spirit that is connected to the stars that shine above the Gardens of Eden rather than the nature that grows on the ground. But unlike most spirits, her powers are far more focused on their utility than actual usefulness in combat, making her a spirit that does not do very well on the battlefield in almost any situation at all. Despite this, she always does her best when summoned to accomplish whatever task is given to her at the time. The young girl simply does not have the will to give up, much like her summoner and the other spirits.

Her appearance is one of a fairly young girl with long silver hair, usually present as two long braids, azure-blue eyes, and fair skin. What is perhaps most unique about her is the attire of her choice, composing of fairly complex and tight-fitting white dress with a cape of celestial design cast over it. A scholar’s hat also sits atop her head, a small indication that the spirit is more of a thinker than a fighter. In her company is also a floating celestial hourglass, one that is controlled by her magical energy and capable of being used as a projectile, though rather sparingly.

Despite her appearance, Hoshi’s powers are not actually completely related to the stars and Eden’s Celestium that shines down onto the Gardens. Instead, as the hourglass suggests, she specializes in controlling the flow of time to a certain degree. This can be perhaps explained by the eternal nature of the Gardens, an infinite paradise that shall never yield to anything and will always remain right there, ready to accept anyone who wishes to retreat to it, for as long as their heart is pure of any and all malice. This is also something connected to Aurora’s past, as she had to spend thousands of years wandering the void without aging a single day.

Hoshi’s dominion is the Sea of Stars that exists to the east of the great forest of the Gardens. The sea is one of the newer additions to the realm, created by Leila Vergious herself and later used to revive Aurora, the Garden’s true god. At first look, it appears to be a fairly normal body of water, but once one gets closer, they will find that it reflects thousands of stars in the sky in the pitch-black water, creating a beautiful canvas to behold. This sea also serves as a place of relaxation for most spirits and a place where they can wash their celestial bodies clean.

Strengths:

• Spirit capable of providing powerful utility powers that have their use both in and out of combat
• Despite being a weak spirit, Hoshi still can use her hourglass as a ranged weapon to chip away at the enemy

Weaknesses:

• More focused on use outside of combat, making her one of the weakest spirits in Leila’s arsenal
• Has a limited control over time and currently cannot move anything forward in time at all

Abilities

Active ability:

Name: The world of Past
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 2 posts
[Name] is a spirit that can see into the past of things and this ability brings that power to the absolute top. Once activated, [Name] can place her hand on an object or a person in order to view their entire or selective moments in the past. If this power is used on another Player character and an object that belongs to a player character, OOC permission is required.
Passive ability:

Name: Restoration
All that has been broken can be restored and fixed. [Name] has the passive ability to move any object around her into its own past. This way, she can easily repair broken structures, regress the growth of plants and more. Though this power has little to no combat utility, it can be quite useful in day to day life.

Hey Leila, sorry for the late reply, but I'm here at last with your grading! Since it was all a bit too much to quote in one go I will be mentioning which full or partial Take Over it is about and what I'd like you to add or change.

Feel free to contact me on Discord, Skype or through PM here on site if there's anything you wish to discuss or want me to clarify about my grading. ^-^

Grading, non-quoted:

Your UA First Impact; add that the damage that will be done when a full TO is activated caps at 2.5x of the highest partial rank’s damage.

Your UA Adaption; you’re not going to like me for this, but I would like you to drastically lower this speed to AoE spell speed.

Your UA Reconstruction; add that it will either heal Leila or the durability of your take-over when it is cast or regenerated, but not both.

The B-rank partial spell; Frost Cowl. Its passive ability: I’d like you to add that using a spell will remove the invisibility as well.

S-rank Full take-over; Dragon of Eden. The duration of your active ability; if you are charging this means you’ll be doing so for an entire post and then release your spell the second post, effectively making your duration two posts instead of one. Please change this accordingly. Your stat boost, state whether the damage boost is magical or physical in nature.

The partial A-rank take-over Dragon’s Tail. The active ability; please change the part that says “mages of any rank" to “mages up to S-rank".

Gardens of Eden

Secondary Magic: Eden's Celestium
Lineage: Gate of Eden’s Goddess
Magic Change: The Magic Shop
Caster or Holder: Lost magic ; Caster

Now, instead of freely controlling the flow of ethernano from the other world in Earthland, she imbues herself with the essence of the Gardens and channels it through her own body. In this sense, the magic itself became akin to take-over magic. However, unlike regular take-over magic, the Gardens of Eden do not channel souls of other creatures, but the magic of Leila’s realm itself.

Note - for the sake of plot, Leila can use take-over forms that are above her rank in non-pvp situations.

Strengths:

• Very versatile as different takeovers focus on something else and can deal with different situations
• Because full take-overs combine several partial ones together, they can bring forth a great power in a single surge
• Can cover just about any range, making Leila strong both in close quarters or when she’s distance away
• Unlike regular spells, signature spells are not bound to a single take-over and can be thus used by all of them, or even outside of take-over

Weaknesses:

• Due to the nature of take-over magic, Leila’s power is usually greatly limited when outside of active take-over
• Each of the full take-overs, no matter how powerful, has a set durability threshold. Once this is achieved, the take-over will be broken, leaving Leila vulnerable.
• There is no such thing as perfect take-over. Each one of them focuses on something different and becomes useful in different situations. This forces Leila to choose appropriate one and can even get her into situation where she is in an improper take-over
• Due to the connection between partial and full take-overs, both enter cooldown once the second one expires its duration
• Only one chunk of power can be channeled at one time, meaning it’s not possible to have multiple full take-overs active at the same time
• Despite the magic using just about any element from the Gardens of Eden, it is still largely nature-based magic and thus vulnerable to fire

Abilities

Temporary Curse
Cursed by magic, Leila is unable to perform any feats of magic outside of her signature spells of primary magic. She cannot cast any regular spells of primary, nor secondary magic for the time being. However, she can use abilities of equipment.

Signature Spells:

Garden's molding
Rank: A
Type: Offense ; utility ; multi-target
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: Instant
Description: Each of the garden's part is specialized in a certain area when it comes to talking about elements. Something like that is simply necessary if one wishes to construct a working world inside of the void. However, now all of the Garden is connected inside of Leila who is capable of taking over its aspect and using its power without too many limitations. And even when outside of a take-over form, her connection to the realm of Gardens of Eden is so powerful that she can still use its powers, ones that she had perfected over the years before her magic actually evolved into this stage of power.

This essentially allows Leila to summon any element she desires from the Gardens and mold it freely. However, there are several restrictions as to what she can do with these. While she can form them into pretty much anything she desires, her attacks can only reach up to 225 meters away from her body at all times. Each attack can also move up to 165 meters per second no matter its form and deal full A-ranked damage, regardless of how many strikes are performed and successfully landed on the enemy. If multiple enemies are attacked with this spell in a single turn, that damage is equally split between all of them. What element she can use is also determined by her current take-over or the lack of. And while these elements are different in appearance, there is no additional effect to any of them. When outside of combat, there is no limit to what this spell can create.

Outside of take-over: Nature element
Beast of Eden: Ice and snow element
Dragon of Eden: Purple crystal element
Demon of Eden: Any element

Strengths:

• Very versatile, as attack for any range can be formed as long as the maximal range is not exceeded
• Can possibly deal extra damage against enemies with elemental weaknesses
• Free-form gives Leila great deal of freedom in all situations, even if she cannot form anything more complex

Weaknesses:

• Can not be used for defense in any way, even when using solid elements such as crystal
• If multiple enemies are attacked, the damage is always divided equally and cannot be adjusted to where one would be damaged than another
• Damage of this spell cannot go over 100% of A-ranked damage without buffs, no matter how many strikes are performed in a single post
• With each of her full take-over, Leila becomes locked to a single element even if it might not be the best for her current situation

Elemental transport
Rank: D
Type: Movement ; utility ; burst
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: Once per post
Description: Leila can call the elements from the Gardens of Eden, letting them aid her in her movements. As the spell activates, Leila’s body transforms into a specified element and disperses, appearing anywhere in the distance of 15 meters away from where she was, making this spell essentially work as a teleportation. What element she transforms into is also determined by her current take-over or the lack of. And while these elements are different in appearance, there is no additional effect to any of them. When outside of combat, there is no limit to how far this spell can teleport.

Outside of take-over: Dispersing into a gust of wind
Beast of Eden: Dispersing into a pile of snow
Dragon of Eden: Dispersing into a crystal dust
Demon of Eden: Dispersing into any element

Strengths:

• The effect takes place instantly, meaning Leila can get out of tight spot with a simple thought of this spell

Weaknesses:

• Range on the teleportation is rather limited, only 15 meters
• Range of the teleportation also cannot be extended by any means, even buffs from other, stronger mages
• Leila cannot teleport behind walls or other objects if the terrain behind them is unknown to her

Gardens of Eden

Secondary Magic: Eden's Celestium
Lineage: Gate of Eden’s Goddess
Magic Change: The Magic Shop
Caster or Holder: Lost magic ; Caster

Unlocked at user's request.

First Passive:

Shapeshifting
Rank: D
Type: Passive
Penalty: -5% MP
