Job creation event, the second coming!

Post by Special Snowflake on 4th July 2017, 5:02 pm

So I totally didn't just copy paste from the previous event for most of the format here and am completely original in every way. Jokes aside this event is because most of the staff don't have the time to go through and create jobs which are more generic, in order to address the issue of jobs having people fight those with the same name etc. and breaking immersion. The basic rundown is that this event is designed to give players more options while adjusting jobs to not interfere with a story as much, so while two people do an anti-slavery job both end up fighting against different people etc.

    Guidelines

Jobs can be of any rank but the enemies in them can't be named, or if they are named there need to be at least 3 different named enemies in the job (even if they all have the same powers)

The jobs preferably will have 2-3 locations where they can take place, allowing for variety.

We want jobs of all ranks, from D to 100 year, so try and make several of different ranks.

    Job series are welcome.

    Character jobs are not welcome.

Legal, dark, and neutral are all welcome, but if you make a job series they should be the same type of split off from neutral into both at the very least (aka don't make a dark guild job series and then the last one is suddenly legal)

Not all jobs need to have combat in them. As a matter of fact, we are low on non-combat jobs.

Note; Guidelines are being updated. The event was a copy/paste and we forgot to change it to word counts instead of post counts, etc.

    The Devil's Playground:
    Job Title: The Devil's Playground
    Rank: 100 year
Player Requirements: At least 2 S ranks, or 1 H rank minimum. Max of 3 people. 35,000 words total.
Job Requirements: Find the demon that has claimed the area and kill it.
Job Location: Any are in the Cursed Lands
Job Description: A powerful demon has claimed an area of the Cursed Lands as his kingdom on Earthland and is beginning to amass an army of minions to go forth and conquer the entire world so that he may control it. Powerful mages are asked to help, as no average Joe can even get past the standard defenses that the demon has put into place.
    Enemies:
Enemies have a set number for the minimum, but more may be spawned at any time so that it may be increased in difficulty for plot and fun.
    Weak: Mortal Slaves x 100
These are slaves taken by the demon and his army. They are living beings that have been captured and forced into slave labor and other nefarious deeds. They don't want to fight you, they don't want to die, but will fight because they have no choice. They deal minor damage and don't take much to slay either. However, do you want their death on your conscience?

    Normal: Minor Demons x 50
These demons are the bottom of the food chain in their society. That does not mean they are easy to deal with though. They are similar to an A-rank mage in all stats and use varying degrees of elemental magic.

    Strong: Major Demons x 10
These demons are the ones that keep the seal around their lord going. All ten must be slain, preferably one at a time due to their power, to allow one access to the Demon Lord himself. Each demon has equal stats to an SS-rank mage, and each has a specialized magic that is not consumable or able to be countered by any mage they fight against.

    Boss: Demon Lord
The demon lord itself, they are a terrifying presence that forces respect among all that see it. Your goal, however, is to simply end its life on this plane. They will not cease to be, and it may even remember you if you fight it again, but it will rid Earthland of the current threat! The Demon Lord has the stats equal to 4 Z-rank mages and wields at least six different magics that it has perfected; though none will be consumable by slayers they meet in the respective topic nor will they be perfectly countered.

    Reward: 200k jewels each.

B-Rank Job Series; To Hunt a Vampire:

    To Hunt a Vampire; I - First Thing's First:

Job Title: To Hunt a Vampire; I - First Things First
    Rank: B
Player Requirements: At least 1 B-Ranked mage or equivalent. 8,000 Words minimum. At least 5 monster rolls.
Job Requirements: Find the book containing information on the vampire breed and get it back to the the organization safely.
Job Location: House of Lost Souls
Job Description: A small and relatively old league of monster hunters have requested outside help in order to deal with a new threat. Some new breed of vampire has been picking off hunters. The group have no idea where these vampires are nesting nor how to even fight them. Traditional methods such as garlic charms and steak launches have been ineffective and their encyclopedia containing all the knowledge they've collected on the monsters has no information on what has been killing the hunters. What few hunters that have survived the attacks have described a beast of a vampire which is much stronger and faster than their typical counterparts. The leader has dubbed this a new breed. She will tell you that they know of a place which probably contains information on these vampires - a house that a late and extremely crafty hunter once used as a base of operations. For some reason, there is a barrier around the house that only allows for beings with magical energy to pass through and as this group of hunters is exclusively made up of magic-less warriors, they needed you.
    Enemies:
    Weak: Strange whispers
What was that sound? Was it the house? Was it your imagination? Either way, every time you hear these whispers from who knows what in a language you've never heard of, you'll get a bit more anxious, paranoid, angry, scared, or any other combination of mentally stressed.

    Normal: A Ghost
Your presence in this house of Lost Souls in conjunction with your magical energy attracts spirits. While these ghosts are physically harmless, you cannot harm and if they touch you they will drain you of 10% of your MP. Your best option is to run unless you have some kind of silver weapon.

Strong: Vampire [Rolling Boss also makes you encounter the vampire. If you can only encounter this once]
You have found the book. Unfortunately you also found a vampire. Now you realize why there was a magical barrier surrounding the house: it was to keep out the vampire hunters. This vampire guards the codex which sits behind the guard on top of an altar within a room which looks like a small chapel. Without the knowledge contained in the book, you cannot harm the vampire, though it can and will try to harm you. Not only is its physical abilities triple that of a B-Rank mage, it also has powerful magic which is best described as a blend between darkness and blood. It can turn invisible, shape shift between its regular form and a swarm of bats, and grow sharp claws that inflict A-Rank damage. You need to grab that book and leave as fast as you can! It will only chase you as far as the magical barrier outside the cabin.

    Spells:
Blood Leech - The vampire points its arm out at his target and fires a beam of blood towards them. If it hits, the target will lose 20 HP and the vampire will permanently gain 25% to its physical abilities.

Shadow Snare - The vampire stomps on the ground and a wave of darkness is sent towards a single target. If the wave hits then the target will be immobilized for one post. Only targets on the floor may be affected.

Bloody Downpour - The vampire will raise both its hands towards the ceiling and will cause it to rain down needles of blood. These do 20 HP of damage per post and last 4 posts. Can be blocked by any kind of shielding spell.

Reward: 15,000 Jewels each and access to "To Hunt a Vampire; II - Ritual Blades"

To Hunt a Vampire; II - Ritual Blades:

Job Title: To Hunt a Vampire; II - Ritual Blades
    Rank: B
Player Requirements: At least 1 B-Ranked mage or equivalent. 9,000 Words minimum. At least 5 monster rolls. Defeat "The Goliath." All mages having completed the job "To Hunt a Vampire; I - First Things First"
Job Requirements: Survive the ritual and acquire the enchanted blades.
    Job Location: Silent Cemetery
Job Description: The leader of the group is impressed with you for acquiring the book and asks that you help with a bit more for, of course, a hefty award. After reading through, she'll come across an entry for new vampire breed. In the entry lies a ritual which, when performed correctly, will enchant specially crafted silver blades to hurt the breed of vampires. This ritual is quite powerful and will likely attract monsters from the nearby woods. It is up to you to protect the leader of the sets up the intricate magical circle made of monster blood and vampire ashes and recites the incantation to bless a pile of silver swords at the center of the circle. You will have the help of the 4 hunters that make up the group of monster hunters. While they don't have magical power, they do have masterful form and formidable strength with swords, axes, bows, and guns.
    Enemies:
    Weak: Shadow Beast x10
These beasts typically lurk in the Spooky Forest and hunt at night, though they have been attracted to the Silent Cemetery by the ritual. These beasts look like silhouettes of regular predators and contain much greater strength than their real counterparts. No one really knows how they came about, but what is known is that they're efficient hunters. They blend into the night and deal C-Rank damage with each of their melee attacks. Each beast has 60 HP.

    Normal: Lycanthrope minora x5
Their appearance is preceded by a powerful howl. These are humans which have been cursed by a Lycanthrope majora. While they aren't as powerful as their pure-blooded counterparts, they still pack a punch. They are massive and will try and pounce on their prey. Each has 150 HP and deals B-Rank damage which each of their melee attacks.

    Strong: Serpentine Mammoth
This thirty meter long serpent with two large tusks and black fur typically stalks the same forest which are occupied by the Lycanthropes: The Lycan Woods, though it has since been attracted by this ritual. It has 300 HP and deals A-Rank damage with its melee attacks. Additionally, it can spit glowing red liquid that will burn for B-Rank damage and deal B-Rank damage over three posts before fading away.

    Boss: The Goliath
This beast stands at a height of 10 meters and has come to stop the ritual. It it seemingly in some kind of trance as its eyes are empty and its body moves unnaturally. Every three posts it will screech out dark energy which will deal A-Rank damage and deafen its targets unless blocked. It has 500 HP and deals S-Rank damage with its melee attacks. After it dies no more enemies will spawn and the sun will begin to rise. Any dice rolls you have left are satisfied by beating The Goliath but he cannot be spawned before rolling the 5 dice.

Reward: 18,000 Jewels and a Legendary + weapon each [it must be related to one of the monsters you've killed as it is made from the parts] and access to "To Hunt A Vampire; III - Find the Nest"

To Hunt a Vampire; III - Find the Nest:

Job Title: To Hunt a Vampire; III - Find the Nest
    Rank: B
Player Requirements: At least 1 B-Ranked mage or equivalent. 10,000 Words minimum. At least 7 monster rolls. Defeat a vampire scout. All mages having completed the job "To Hunt a Vampire; II - Ritual Blades"
    Job Requirements: Interrogate a vampire
    Job Location: Lycan Woods
Job Description: The leader of the organization of hunters once again thanks you for your help and once again asks you to help them. You and your fellow mages are one team of two, the other consisting of the four hunters of the organization, excluding the leader. Both parties are armed with one of the enchanted swords from the ritual and are tasked to find a vampire and interrogate it to find the source of the vampires.

Following the interrogation, the vampire will lead you to their nest, a cave hidden in the heart of the Lycan Woods behind an illusory spell. The leader of the vampires will await you and formally congratulate you on your efforts before brutally slaying the traitor. After this, he will tell you a tale of how he and his 'family' simply want to be left alone and that they have really just been protecting themselves from the monster hunters. He will call them indiscriminate killers and tell you how they don't even hunt humans for their bloody meals, only animals. The Master Vampire will conclude his tale with an offer: Help him to eliminate the murderous organization and he will make you and any willing fellow mages part of his 'family,' should you so choose. If you decline his offer, as a show of good faith, he will simply let you go back to report their whereabouts to your employer, though he will be quite disappointed.
    Enemies:

Normal: Lycanthrope minora x4 [Rolling weak also makes you encounter the vampire. If you can only encounter this once]

    Strong: Lycanthrope majora x2
These pure bloods have full control of their transformations and will use it almost as a take-over mage would use their magic. While in the lycan form, they will retain their conscious mind and wiles - opting to carefully allocate their strength to move efficiently instead of rushing you recklessly like their servant counterparts. In addition to having 250 HP and dealing A-Rank damage with their melee attacks, these pure bloods will be able to call four Lycanthrope minoras once their health drops to 100 HP. They will only howl once for reinforcements as they will be too weak to do so again. Finally, if you get struck by a melee attack by this beast you will resist the curse, but your own physical abilities will halve and you will feel quite nauseous for two posts. This poisoning effect does not stack.

    Boss: Vampire with a grudge
You recognize this vampire, it's the one that was guarding the book! He must have sniffed you out to exact his revenge! Not only is its physical abilities triple that of an A-Rank mage, it also has powerful magic which is best described as a blend between darkness and blood. It can turn invisible, shape shift between its regular form and a swarm of bats, and grow sharp claws that inflict S-Rank damage. Lucky for you, you have a blade that can hurt it. It has 500 HP, but your sword deals triple your rank's damage for every hit you land! Still, be on your guard, he may have new tricks and remember, you must not kill him. Once he gets two a tenth of his health he will be in a weak enough state to question and with some "encouragement" will lead you to the vampire's den.

    Spells:
Blood Leech - The vampire points its arm out at his target and fires a beam of blood towards them. If it hits, the target will lose 40 HP and the vampire will permanently gain 50% to its physical abilities.

Shadow Snare - The vampire stomps on the ground and a wave of darkness is sent towards a single target. If the wave hits then the target will be immobilized for one post. Additionally, targets will lose 10% of their max HP. Only targets on the floor may be affected.

Bloody Downpour - The vampire will raise both its hands towards the ceiling and will cause it to rain down needles of blood. These do 30 HP of damage per post and last 4 posts. Additionally, anyone who takes damage from the spell will suffer from complete blindness for one post. Can be blocked by any kind of shielding spell.

Black Fog - The vampire will blow to create a thick black fog that engulfs everything in a mile radius. This black fog will be too thick to see through and will do 10 HP damage per post you inhale it. Additionally, the vampire can see perfectly through the fog.

Reward: 25,000 Jewels and access to "To Hunt a Vampire; IV - The Finale". No jewels and access to "To Hunt a Hunter; The Finale" if you accept his offer.

To Hunt a Vampire; IV - The Finale:

Job Title: To Hunt a Vampire; IV - The Finale
    Rank: B
Player Requirements: At least 1 B-Ranked mage or equivalent. 11,000 Words minimum. Defeat the Master Vampire. All mages having completed the job "To Hunt a Vampire; III - Find the Nest" and chosen to decline the offer of the Master Vampire.
Job Requirements: Defeat the Master Vampire
    Job Location: Lycan Woods
Job Description: You will return with the information to the leader of the monster hunters and she will thank you greatly. She will also inform you that only two of the hunters returned from the last mission. Together with her and the two hunters, as well as the enchanted swords, you will storm the cave and finish off the Master Vampire once and for all!
    Enemies:
Boss: The Master Vampire and his two cohorts
As soon as you arrive inside the cave you will find yourself in a small hallway of stalagmites that leads to a much larger room. The room is very dimly lit by torches and there will be racks of containing the corpses of livestock, drained of their life energy. There will be a throne upon which the Master Vampire sits with a vampire on either side of the chair which appear to be just as strong as the one you interrogated. He will express his disappointment in your decision one last time before commanding his two vampire servants to deal with your group. Not long after, he himself will join to deal with you and the leader personally. The two vampires can turn invisible, shape shift between its regular form and a swarm of bats, and grow sharp claws that inflict S-Rank damage. They have 500 HP, but the swords deal triple your rank's damage for every hit you land. The two hunters deal A-Rank damage and the leader of the hunters deals S-Rank damage. The two have 400 HP while their leader has 500 HP.

The Master Vampire is slightly more resistant to the enchanted swords, only taking double your rank's damage. He also has 2000 HP, truly deserving of the title of "Master Vampire" among those that serve him. He is able to perform all the spells and has all the powers that his servants can and additionally has illusion magic.

    ----------------[Master Vampire Only Spells]----------------

Hypnotic Trance - The Master Vampire will attempt to look you in the eyes. If he succeeds you will fall under his spell and believe that he is perhaps right. At the very least, you will not attempt to attack him and he will not attack you. At the worst, if your will is weak or if he has already used this spell on you once before, you will attack your allies. This Trance lasts for two posts and has a two post cool down.

Nightmare - The Master Vampire will attempt touch you. If he succeeds you will fall under his spell and will be tormented with thoughts that your worst fear is coming true. You will be completely immobilized for two posts, but will be immune to "Hypnotic Trance." However, he will still attempt to attack you with other spells.

Reward: 30,000 Jewels and a Legendary + item: The Hunter's Mark

The Hunter's Mark: This item is a necklace with a small rusty saw as its only piece besides he worn chain. The necklace is used to distinguish hunters from non-hunters and are not given out lightly. Only when one has proven their prowess against monsters is one awarded this symbol, but the leader of the monster hunter's has deemed you and your group of mages worthy. The Hunter's Mark bestows abilities to the user depending on their magic and style of fighting and varies greatly between hunters. [Create a Legendary + item with more or less this description and abilities which in some way relate to hunting / fighting monsters]

To Hunt a Hunter; The Finale:

Job Title: To Hunt a Hunter; The Finale
    Rank: B
Player Requirements: At least 1 B-Ranked mage or equivalent. 11,000 Words minimum. Defeat the Master Vampire. All mages having completed the job "To Hunt a Vampire; III - Find the Nest" and chosen to accept the offer of the Master Vampire.
Job Requirements: Defeat the remaining monster hunters
    Job Location: Lycan Woods
Job Description: The Master Vampire, pleased that you’d choose to help him, summons his two vampires which are just as powerful as the one you interrogated. Together, you and your group in conjunction with the Master Vampire and his two servants go to the hunter’s hideout and put a permanent end to their organization.
    Enemies:
Boss: Leader of the Monster Hunters and her two Hunters
The leader and her two hunters will be significantly easier to defeat while on the side of monsters, however, they won’t go down without a fight. As they are magic-less in a magical world, they have developed ways to deal with mages in case they had to fight. Both Hunters deal A-Rank damage and the leader deals S-Rank damage. The two hunters have 400 HP and their leader has 500 HP.  Both the vampire servants of the Master Vampire take three times the damage from the monster hunter’s weapons while the Master Vampire takes two time the damage from the same source, though they are immune to other damage sources.
Additionally, the leader and her hunters are equipped with smoke bombs with cover a mile radius and will disable most magic in the area. While the vampires will remain unaffected and will still be able to use their magic, you won’t be. The hunters also possess ranged weapons such as crossbows which fire arrows tipped in a poison that will make the recipient extremely dizzy and cause them to lose 5% of their max HP per post for 3 posts. While this poison does not stack, it can be extremely debilitating.
Furthermore, the hunters are equipped with charms that allow them to see through their own thick smoke, giving them a visual advantage should they choose to throw down the smoke bombs. After the leader of the hunters reaches 25% of her max HP, she will begin to fight with more skill. She will fight desperately though while trying not to let recklessness get the better of her and she will fight to maim and kill. Her damage will escalate to H-Rank but she will inevitably become more reckless and aggressive.
Reward: 30,000 Jewels [It is sitting on top of a table and had been originally meant to be given to you by the leader of the hunters], a permanent Lineage: Kin of the Vampire, and a free primary and/or secondary magic change to blood and/or shadow magic.  All three of these rewards are optional and you make choose to take any combination.
A mage with “Kin of the Vampire” cannot change lineages.
Name : Kin of the Vampire
Description : Kin of the Vampire were once human, though have since become something… different. A Master Vampire will curse a human, or bless him or her depending on one’s outlook, by biting the human on the neck. In the following three days the human will feel very sick and undergo physical changes. Their heart will stop pumping, their skin will go pale, and they will have an adverse reaction to the sun. At the end of the three days the human will be a human no longer and instead be a fully-fledged vampire.
    Ability:
    Passives
Sunlight Burns: Whenever the sun is up your maximum HP is decreased by 50%.  So a mage with 100 HP max would have their new max until night time to 50 HP. This weakness may be circumvented with heavy clothing which covers every part of the exposed skin, such as a sunhat and heavy coat.
Weakness to Holy and Light Magic: Any light or holy magic you come into contact with will have its damage amplified by 50% against you.
Monstrous Strength: Your physical abilities are amplified greatly: 200%.
Child of the Night: You blend into the darkness, making you much harder to see at night or in dark places.
Resistant to Darkness, Unholy, and Blood Magic: Quite resistant to dark, unholy, or blood magic magic, reducing any incoming damage from these sources by 50%.
Feeding: You may feed off a human or animal to regain your own health. Simply stick your teeth into their neck or drink a cup of blood to regain your own HP. Drinking a liter of animal blood will regenerate 10% of your HP. Drinking a liter of human blood will regenerate 25% of your HP. You may choose how much to drink, though don’t expect the being on the receiving end to cooperate…. As you drink blood you will be left quite vulnerable to attacks as all your focus must be on feeding.
    Actives
Shape shifting: You may shape shift into a swarm of bats. Like you, these bats can’t die but each one has only 25% of your HP. All of them must come together when you’re shape shifting back into your normal form. This power has a cool down of 2 posts and lasts indefinitely. As a swarm of bats, you can perceive information from as many different sources as there are bats, making it an indispensable tool for gathering intelligence or sneaking around. The bats themselves have only 5% of your rank’s attack power altogether, making it a poor strategy to use in combat.
Life Drain: You may point your hand at a single target and shoot out a stream of blood. This stream will travel at a max distance and speed for your rank and, if it hits, will transfer 10% of your enemy’s total HP from them to you. This ability has a cool down of 4 posts and an instant duration.
Invisibility: You may turn invisible to the naked eye for a duration of up to 3 posts. This ability has a cool down of 6 posts. While you’re invisible, using a spell will cause the invisibility to deactivate and the cool down to start.
Usage : The passive abilities are always active and the actives may be cast at any time. Only one active may be cast at a time, so one cannot be invisible and shape shift into bats or shape shift into bats and use life drain.

    Interrogation (C-Rank):
    Job Title: Interrogation

    Rank: C

Player Requirements: Must be C-Ranked (or higher)

Job Requirements: 3000 Words for solo. (+500 for each additional member). Interrogate the four suspects and find out who was behind this crime.

    Job Location: Lavanitir Port City

Job Description: On one of the ships that was travelling to the port, there was an... 'accident'. Whether it be the ship exploding or a wrong export coming, the accident has a caused a huge panic within the city. Your guild has kept a close eye on the coverage within the city and when the suspects were narrowed down to a mere four, many guilds received notice that they needed mages for interrogations. You reluctantly take the job as you want insider details at what happened with this.

Once you arrive in the city, you are met by the head detective, who urges you to essentially play good cop/bad cop with you playing both. You must interrogate the suspects using any methods you find acceptable, without killing the target. After interrogation, you will give your verdict to the detective who will ask you what the punishment for the crime committed is.

The suspect that is guilty can be whichever one you want. The order you interrogate the suspects in doesn't matter. Just get through all four and decide the final punishment.

    Enemies:
Weak: Pansy - This person is very susceptible to revealing their hidden motives and will crack under pressure, or threat, if you decide to go that route. Easiest to get the truth out of.

Normal: Ruffian - Is familiar with interrogations based on how they have acted in the past. Will dodge questions and will try to play genius and turn the questions onto you. Put them in their place and you will get the truth.

Strong: Old Sailor - Typically very stubborn, they will always answer aggressively based on the question or simply not at all. Will not take you seriously due to you, most likely, appearing younger than them. Show them that this young person is not afraid to hurt and is able to be serious in order to get their respect to have them tell the truth.

Boss: Naval Officer - This suspect is probably the most fishy out of all of them. They were a naval officer with the ship and somehow under the watchful eye, this accident still managed to happen. It is hard to interrogate this one as they will know you have limits to what you can ask and will act accordingly to what you ask. Their personality typically varies so it's all up to your skills and methods in order to get the truth out of this one.

Reward: 7k Jewels and attention from the Magic Council, positive or negative, based on how you diffused the situation and the punishment that you decided upon.

    Armored Fiends (C-Rank, Neutral):
    Job Title: Armored Fiends
    Rank: C
Player Requirements: 3,000 words, have a passport. Can be from any guild or guildless.
Job Requirements: Beat the boss, save the village.
    Job Location: Tau'ri
    Job Description:
Creatures known as Skags are a common enemy in the land of Tau'ri. With their tendency to breed like rabbits and their never ending hunger if a village is unlucky enough to have an infestation of these it isn't uncommon for them to be wiped out in a few weeks or even days.
As it just so happens a small village in Tau'ri has been hit hard with these creatures, most likely due to the intense shift in weather lately. Unarmed and unprepared to face them the villagers have sent out a plea for help to any and all who would listen.
It is up to you to either kill or drive out the Skags. They will only listen to their alpha, so defeat the alpha and the others will listen as well.

    Enemies:
    Weak: Skag Pups x5:
The smallest and weakest of skags, usually only a few days or weeks old. With their underdeveloped armor and teeth they are nothing more than angry Chihuahuas. They can each be taken down in 1-2 hits and deal half D-rank spell damage per bite. They are normally seen in groups of 5.

    Normal: Skag Whelps x2:
Though not as strong as adults, Whelps are a little more troublesome than pups. Their reckless behavior and more developed armor make them dangerous, yet foolish and seseptible to more powerful attacks. They can be taken down in 4 hits, and deal full D-rank damage per bite.

    Strong: Adult Skag:
Time for the more serious enemies. If a Skag reaches adulthood they tend to be more smart and powerful than the rest, learning how to scratch and kick as well as bite. Their armor is very well developed, making it almost impossible to pierce unless you use a very powerful attack. The best way to attack would be to aim for their unprotected parts, the legs of the insides of their mouths. That is, if you can even land a hit as adults tend to be the fastest of their kind.
Adults deal full C-rank damage per hit, and can take up to 8 hits to take down.

    Boss: Alpha Skag:
The dog to rule them all, the alpha. This is the Skag who runs the entire pack. Defeat him, and all the others will leave. But it will not be easy.
Its armor is so advanced nothing at all can pierce it, making its legs and the inside of its mouth the only thing you can attack to deal damage. It kicks, scratches, bites, and even uses its long tongue to attack, and is able to leap great distances to dodge your attacks.
The alpha deals B-rank damage pet hit, and takes 12 hits to take down.

    Reward:
    6,000 jewels.

Enemies: The enemy dice must be rolled at least 3 times.
Weak: Scavenger Pirates x8 - Weak normal sized pirates with different weapons. These pirates will attempt to kill you with blades and pistols to steal anything you have in your possession. They are easily taken out and do minor damage.

The Big Beast has B Rank Health (300 HP) and deals B Rank damage (60 hp) with it's strikes. The small beasts are simply smaller versions of such big beast. They only have 50 HP and will deal 20 damage; however, if the 3 small beasts are defeated before the big beast, 3 more will appear.

Enemies: More enemies may appear; however, these are the minimum of enemies one must defeat to finish the job.
Weak: Hard Pirates x 30 - Now these pirates are more of a challenge. These pirates are all B rank and carry magical weapons. These magical weapons range from blades to pistols and have magical abilities of their own. Wile some have elemental properties to use as spells, some others have the ability to pass through solid objects, melt, or even transform into animals. Each pirate is a challenge, but because of them running in groups, there is no need to take them all at once.

Normal: Ghost Knights x 30 - Silver knight armors with no body inside. These haunted armors have strong long swords and shields, both being A rank weapons. These soldiers are A rank and while having no other abilities, they still deal dangerous A rank damage. These soldiers are fast and powerful; however, they only move in pairs.

Strong: The 4 Monarchs - Their name was given by their king. Each one of them is an armored faceless soldier. These soldiers are each S rank and have S rank equipment of your choice including armor. The 4 monarchs can also be increased to another number if you wish. You can also encounter more than one at the time if you wish.

Boss: The King - The ghost of the king lives inside the castle; however, he is no longer a living being and is only a ghost now. But while he can not interact like a normal person would,

    • Nero - This spell will be cast by softly making its name sound around the castle. With this spell, the king is able to burst any non-living object into flames dealing A Rank damage to anyone stroke by the flames. This fire can even be generated on the ground, enabling surprise attacks to anyone in the castle.
    • The Great - The king is able to move his castle. In other words, he is able to close and open corridors or halls. This is not perfectly controlled so he is not actually able to perfectly hide his treasure but can make it difficult as well as confusing to find.
    • Teleport - This spell allows the king to teleport any ally unit around the castle. This allows his soldiers to escape or to sneak attack if needed.
    • Strengthen - When used, this spell will make a war horn sound in the castle for everyone to hear. Every Ghost knight and Monarch will gain 50% damage, strength, and speed for 3 posts. This has a 5 post cooldown after the effect fades.

    • 14,500 Solo

    Job Location: Talonia
    Job Description:
You hear word that a man in Talonia is looking for brave mages to undertake some rather dangerous, but completely legal work. No one in your current location, or even the Talonian streets can tell you what he wants; just that anyone who's gone to find out walk out as fast as they entered his home.

Upon arriving in Talonia, people laugh when you say you're wanting to find the man, stating that you're gonna be another statistic if you enter his home. When you do enter his home, you find a stairwell leading down. At the end of that is a labyrinth with traps for days, and dangerous enemies. The traps range from simple trip wires, to entire floors that collapse when you step on the wrong tiles. Enemies can range from swarms of bugs, to swarms of wolves and even a minotaur or ten.

At the middle of the Labyrinth you'll find the man who's impressed to see you made it through. He'll present you with a book that'll teach you a bit about magic, increasing your EXP as well as some cash for your troubles. He'll tell you that the labyrinth was necessary to test anyone who dared take on his task of finding 10 dragons and taking a scale off their hide.

    Enemies:
    Weak: Scarabs
A swarm of 100 flesh eating scarabs. The biting isn't so bad, it's the flying that makes them scary.

    Normal: Rat Pack
A set of 50 rats in a large room that all want a piece of you. Individually they're weak, but together they're terrifying and carry disease.

    Strong: Wolf Hunting Pack
A set of 5 wolves that are pretty hungry.

    Boss: Minotaur Gang
A set of 10 Minotaur, all armed with axes, swords, and mauls.

    Reward:
    • 1x Dragon Book: Shows the location of each dragon
    • 1x Gold Bar worth 125,000 Jewel

    Job Location: Sin
    Job Description:
The Book of Dragons details that the Fire dragon lives in Sin. Whatever means you use to get to the country are your own, but considering the location you can expect dangerous enemies.

    Enemies:
    Weak: Weak Demon
These demons are 40 feet tall, and hit like a tank. However, their magic is extremely inaccurate, and their bodies are slow moving. They're also a bit squishy.

    Normal: Lesser Demon
These demons are smaller, standing at 20 feet which is still a decent size. They have weaker melee attacks, but stronger magic. They can take control of being below S Rank like pets, summons, and celestial spirits so beware.

    Strong: Greater Demon
These demons are only 10 feet tall. While still larger than most humans, they're the smallest of their breed. They have incredibly powerful magic and can take control of weak minded beings, use advanced debuffs and damage over time spells, and even summon Weak Demons to their aid. But their melee is on human level, so that's nice.

    Boss: Demonic Fire Dragon
This Dragon's not interested in talking. He doesn't consider himself above humans, nor does he think himself below the gods. His attacks are a mix of Unholy and Fire, shifting the balance of battle in favor of Fire Demon Slayers. Dragon Slayers can still hurt him, but they'll find themselves unable to consume his attacks. His body is coated in a type of black magma that makes melee attacks inadvisable. He can fire streams of Unholy Fire for a breath attack. Slamming his claw on the ground causes jets of Unholy Magma to rise like a geyser.

    Reward:
    • 1x Black Magma Scale
    • 125,000 Jewel

    Enemies:
    Weak: Fog Spirit
A long since dead being that's managed to transcend ethereal boundaries and gain a degree of physical presence. It'll try to drag members of your crew, yourself included, into the depths to join it in the after life. They're immune to non-holy and non-darkeness attacks, but can be hit by any Demon Slayer's attacks regardless of element.

    Strong: Sea Serpant
Hungry fully grown Sea Serpants that'll attack your ship as a whole to sink it.

A dragon covered in jade colored scales. It closely resembles the serpentine snakes of the eastern lands. The dragon's 1,000 meters long and has thick scales. It'll attack by firing streams of poisonous water at anyone attacking, as well as use poison based melee attacks. It's capable of flying and swimming, and will not show mercy if attacked. This dragon is defined in the Book of Dragons as the Sandstorm Dragon. It'll be a bit hard to see since it's camoflauged to blend into the desert, but you can easily find the general area since he'll be surrounded by a massive sandstorm.

    Enemies:
    Weak: Komodo Dragon
Not like the traditional ones, these Komodos look like a Komodo Dragon, have highly toxic saliva like them, but breathe fire like real dragons. More specifically, they spit fireballs.

    Normal: Desert Scorpion
A 15 foot scorpion with a massive stinger and thick carapace. It's fast, heavily armored, and highly aggressive.

    Strong: Minotaur
This would be like the ones you found in the labyrinth... if the ones you originally saw were thirty feet tall, dual wielded axes that normally require two hands for just one, could breathe fire, consume earth magic, and use Sand Magic.

    Boss: Sandstorm Dragon
This dragon is constantly surrounded by a massive sandstorm that obstructs your vision and makes it hard to smell. It's only 10 feet from nose to tail, and stands 4 feet high when on all fours. Found in Minstrel, this dragon's another one modeled after the Eastern variety. It's rumored to hang around lakes covered with mist where it awaits lonely travelers to cross its path.

    Enemies:
    Weak: Poltergeists
Sounds of screaming, loud bangs, water droplets, strange sights that aren't there, people standing in the mists, and all other manner of creepy stuff.

    Normal: Mist Man
A being made of mist that's immune to physical attacks. It'll follow you and moan obnoxiously.

    Strong: Ghast
A large spirit that's immune to physical attacks. It'll continuously siphon life out of you and your allies until you escape it, or kill it.

    Boss: Dragon of the Mists
Surprisingly, this dragon has no desire to fight. It'll try to strike a deal with you, exchanging the lives of one of your friends for one of its scales. If you choose to fight, it'll attack with powerful Water-Wind magic, as well as summon Ghasts to help out. The dragon only takes extra damage from Dragon Slayers, but its Ghast Summons only take extra damage from Demon Slayers.

    Enemies:
    Weak: Pirates
A group of pirates who were hiding their loot on the island. They're not too keen on you knowing they were there since it might result in you stealing their bounty.

    Normal: Gorilla
A massive creature that can tear a man's arm off with ease. It's not happy that you're invading its territory and will attack until you leave, or lose it.

    Strong: Shocksteel Golem
A 9 foot being made entirely of electrocuted metal that'll attack with Shocksteel magic. It's extremely durable, and hits hard; but is decently slow.

    Boss: Shocksteel Dragon
A thirty foot dragon with silver scales that hum with electrical energy. All of its attacks are steel-lightning element, and are very effective against water attacks. It can slam its claw on the ground and make electrocuted steel spikes rise from the ground, fire electric steel rods from its body, change its limbs to form any weapon, and attack with a steel-lightning breath attack.

He explains that the end result would be great deals of fame, a large cash payout, and recognition as a master of dragons. He warns you that this would be the hardest dragon of all to kill, and that you might not survive the encounter. Upon accepting it, you're given a map that leads to the middle of Desierto where no human would be stupid enough to go.

Upon arriving to the place specified, you find a massive stone circle with hundreds of runes written in a spiral, leading to a podium in the middle. The one you got the quest from takes all of the scale you obtained and grinds them with a pestle and mortar before pouring their combined dust into the podium. He'll ask if you and your team is ready, after which he'll begin chanting.

After several minutes of chanting, the dust vanishes and a 500 foot tall dragon appears with multicolored scales. • 1 Artifact
    • Dragon Master, Dragon Slayer, Dragon God, or Dragon Devil title (your choice)

I want to thank everyone for their submissions thus far, sadly this summer has made me incredibly busy with various tasks and problems happening in real life so I haven't gotten the chance to finish reading through all of them, so instead, because I'm pretty sure later on in September I will have more free time, I am extending the date for this event to September 30th, hopefully the turning of the month will allow my life to settle down, but hey good news for those who want to make more right?

These hostages are frail and quite lonely, they range from women and children while some males have been caught up in it. They all only take 2 S ranked damage before they are killed. Keep them safe, if at least 5 die, the mission fails. There are 20 hostages in total.

    Enemies:
    Weak:
    Cronies: 5-6
Cronies usually are all talk and not much fight, they are the ones scattered around the carnival, recruiting people for their bidding. These hostages deal half S ranked damage and can cause bleeding for up to 2 posts, the bleeding can deal S ranked damage each post. The cronies take 3 S ranked damage each to take down.
    Normal:
    False Hostages: 4
Hostages that aren’t hostages, they will pretend to be hostages to take you by surprise. When revealed that they aren’t hostages, they will brandish their brass knuckles and begin to attack. Each hit they do will deal 1 S ranked damage and can cause confusion. (Confusion can force you into a state where you forget what you are doing, you might even possibly hit the hostages, thinking they are the enemy)

The confusion lasts for one post and the false hostages will go down in 4 S ranked hits.
    Strong:
    Top dogs: 6
Ahh, the top dogs. The meanest members and the ones who know what they are doing. Their smarts suits and their attitudes may give way into thinking they aren’t what they are. But they do cause misery. The top dogs will always group up on the hostages except for two, who will try to hold the mages back. They deal 2 S ranked damage and will go down in 5 S ranked hits
    Boss:
    Mafia Bosses: 2
Not one, but 2 mafia bosses?! Turns out they are twins, so it makes sense. The fact that they are part of the mafia makes a lot of sense when you think about the hostages. One has ice magic and the other has fire magic, and they usually fuse their magics together to cast frostfire magic. These guys take 10 S ranked hits each to take down, but they can deal 3 S ranked damage. (They will also be faster than you, meaning it’s really easy for them to dodge your magics.)

    Job Submissions:

    Perspective is Key:

    code and job:

    Code:

[b]Job Title:[/b] [Perspective is Key] Part 1 (intro)
    [b]Rank:[/b] SS
[b]Player Requirements:[/b] S Rank : One player whom could be regarded as a saint of good. 13,000 words per player. Legal or Neutral Wizard.
[b]Job Requirements:[/b] Investigate the ruins, Pass the trials, Claim the Relic.
    [b]Job Location:[/b] Joya, Desierto, Iceberg
[i]Disclaimer:[/i] This is a RP heavy mission, fighting can occur and enemies made up by those partaking within it to help create a memorable thread and help to fill in the word gap. However the mission objective is based around posts regarding one’s own character having their will broken until they forsake all they regard as holy. Explore what your character would truly fear, what the worst possible scenario you could imagine your character going through… only to have that become like heaven through fade to black/off screen events they face when finally breaking. Do what you will ;D but in the end all shall break.

[b]Job Description:[/b] Be it through rumor, recommendation, or a job listing those participating have found themselves employed by a little-known historian called Quade. What few bits of information that could be discovered if researched have them purchasing equipment and hiring mages for a variety of tasks relating to exploration and recovery of objects within the wilderness, if the sites they claim are even there in the first place for the mages to explore.

However this time, like so many others the note that Quade left behind is full of conviction and determination. Speaking of how during the past investigations the hired parties have been going on, the presence of sinister forces have been discovered pursing the same goals.

The request is simple, follow the directions given by a strange, old parchment which creates a map within the mind of a one whose soul is akin to that of a holy saint. Find the ruins, whether they are buried in sand, ice or lava. If they are ontop of a mountain of howling ice and guarded by monsterous ice beasts, or within jungles where even the trees themselves seek to crush its invaders. Pass through any obstacles, climb any walls, and return with a relic said to contain a fragment of a god’s dying wish.

[b]Player Knowledge:[/b] This job is not truly a combat focused job, at large it is a roleplaying/character dependent job. It is entirely possible to achieve the victory conditions of it without ever casting a spell, or fighting; which is why it is vague in terms of enemies and location.

Not all of those participating must pass the trials, only one is truly required to. Which is why it comes with the requirement of one amongst them whom could be considered a [i]saint[/i] in order to achieve victory.

Upon entering the ruins, eventually a presence shall make itself known, a presence known as a Dreamkeeper. It shall question the mages, asking why it is that they have came. Upon hearing their answer it shall inquire as to if they are truly deserving, and know the true meaning of placing one’s dreams in a stranger’s hands.  In the end, it shall only offer to give what the intruders seek so long as they pass its trials.

In order to complete the mission the Dreamkeeper shall send the mages through trials, bending reality and forcing them to their limits to discover just what kind of creatures claim to seek its sacred treasure.  Not all events that it forces the mage to endure must be played out, they may be glossed over or hinted at as a specific scene is played out. For the end result is meant to be the breaking of a person, to find their limit and judge their worth by what they may endure.

    [b]Enemies:[/b]
[i]Weak:[/i] Unlimited or Absent: The wilderness and ruins long in disrepair can often lend to dwellings of dangerous predators, or merely animals seeking shelter. Whether or not the mages face such insignificant obstacles cannot be said, for not all ruins are alike.

[i]Normal:[/i] Unlimited or Absent: The wilderness and ruins long in disrepair can often lend to dwellings of dangerous predators, or merely animals seeking shelter. Whether or not the mages face such insignificant obstacles cannot be said, for not all ruins are alike.

[i]Strong:[/i] Unlimited or Absent: The wilderness and ruins long in disrepair can often lend to dwellings of dangerous predators, or merely animals seeking shelter. Whether or not the mages face such insignificant obstacles cannot be said, for not all ruins are alike.

[i]Boss:[/i] [b]The Dreamkeeper:[/b] It is bound to remain within the ruins, incapable of escaping or interacting with the world outside it. However with its great limitation within the ruins it is beyond the reach of mages, as it can freely control everything within as if it was a lucid dream.

Its form changes, and can even appear to be different things to different people depending upon their thoughts. To one, it could be an angel of death, to another a criminal that murdered their families. The most beautiful creature in the world or the thing which they dread most, for the dreamkeeper is but the thought of a god. A byproduct of a divine dream safeguarding what fragmented remains it can until a holy creature can fulfill it.

No matter what is done within or to the ruins, the Dreamkeeper cannot be defeated. If it even senses a true danger to itself or that which it guards, the dream shall end. Vanishing and leaving all within the wilderness.

[b]Trial of Will:[/b] In the face of this trial, all hopes and dreams shall turn to ashes in one’s mouth. One’s deepest, darkest fears which they had thought long hidden. Horrors which they could never imagine shall befall them and all they care for. The world they know, no longer exists. The trials, the dreamkeeper, all the events leading on this mission are wiped from their minds as all knowledge of it are purged.

Instead it is replaced with a different reality, one in which their deepest fears come to life. Where ignorance and innocence is no excuse and horrors befall them. Poverty, death of loved ones, torture, terminal illness. The mage must suffer tradgedies, being forced to the ground by life’s events one after another. An evil seeking to shatter their will, and each time an option shall be given to them. Sacrifice that which could be considered holy to them, that they never imagined they could possibly do… and do it.

Only upon finally breaking, to being pushed to their limit and beyond as the mage gives in to evil shall their trial end. And their reward for the mindbreaking torment to be endured, shall be for the majority of their memories of it locked away. Some may slip through in dreams, or remain as fading thoughts hard to grasp. Or even vague ideas of what happened, but their sanity would be preserved in a way that lasts beyond the ruins. However, they shall remember once thing… that they had been broken.

The one whom can endure the most, who holds onto their sacred beliefs throughout the most horrors shall be gifted with the fragment of a dream, in the form of a fragment of a plain, grey stone. It appears to be like any normal stone, as if one could just smash a rock and pick a fragment for it. However if it ever leaves the chosen one’s person, they can sense it and feel compelled to pursue the stone as strongly as they do their own sacred beliefs.  Only placing the stone in a special lockbox which Quade has prepared at the drop-off point can negate the effect.

    [b]Reward:[/b]

120,000 Jewels, The ability to pursue other jobs in the series, Potential character trauma/development!

Sorry, this took so long to complete and get too, but the rewards have all been handed out and the jobs will be updated over the next few days into the job area. I think this was a success, so hopefully, the next time an event like this is ran my life won't turn upside down while it is going on!
