    Shadow Fox Demon Slayer

    Description:
    More commonly known as Hell Demon Slayer, this is a lost magic which can only be learned by implementing a specific lacrima into one’s body, or being taught directly by the Demons. In this case, Eris encountered a Shadow Fox Demon which was more than willing to share the secrets of the Slayer arts in exchange for cooperation. As the name suggests, the magic itself is designed to slay demons, as it is imbued with a holy element that caused most, if not every, spells to have a white shining aura and sometimes even color the shadows themselves white. However, the magic is still perfectly capable of destroying anyone and anything in the mage’s way, no matter their race or origin.

    Strengths:

    • Unlike regular Slayer magic, the Shadow Fox Demon Slayer behaves like a holder magic with most of its spell, making the magic itself more unique and less predictable for those who already have knowledge of how Slayer magic behaves
    • Shadows infused with a holy attribute cannot be devoured by dragon, nor god slayers no matter how hard they try
    • Has increased effectiveness against darkness, demon, and undead type non-human beings

    Weaknesses:

    • Due to the usually selfish nature of Slayer magic, even the Hell Demon Slayer has very little to offer in terms of support for allies or bystanders
    • Despite the infusion of holy element within the magic itself, light is still the greatest enemy of shadows and spells of that element will always win a struggle against spells of this magic, provided they are of equal or greater rank
    • While the magic allows Eris to consume spells of Shadow Dragon Slayers, she cannot do so against her God Slayer counterpart, nor consume her own spells
    • Eris can have a lot of difficulties fighting opponents of higher rank than her, as most unique abilities of this magic can only affect those of equal or lower rank than she is


    Lineage:
    Armored Beast
    Description: A humanoid monster was said to live in a small village in Fiore. The monster was said to be intelligent, yet strong. However, despite holding the intelligence of a human, it was shunned for its hideous figure, which leads to it crafting its own armor to hide it. Eventually, the armoured beast rescued a princess in distress and they fell in love, eventually settling down and making a family. Their children, however, didn't have a hideous appearance of their father but they were a prodigy at war and wore armour fit for conquerors.
    Ability: A passive defensive ability that allows the user to have a higher endurance (50% more HP), tolerance (Poisons and disease/curse effects last half as long) and a keener intellect than most others.
    Usage: Passive



    Slayer Perks

    • 10% Buff to physical stats (strength, speed etc)
    • 10% Buff to senses (hearing, smell etc)
    • The ability to enter force after consuming enough of the element
    • The ability to consume their element to regain MP

    A resistance to their element shown by the following chart:

    • 2 ranks above: 0%
    • 1 rank above: 10%
    • Same rank: 25%
    • 1 rank below: 30%
    • 2 ranks below: 50%


    ~Demon Force~
    A Slayer must consume at least 70% magical energy from his respective element in order to achieve Force, however, their total magical energy must equal to 150% or higher. In other words, the Slayer can still use magic, but if it does not equal to at least 150% magical energy after consuming 70% magical energy, they must consume an appropriate amount to reach it. If the Slayer can achieve this within the next 5 posts, Force is activated. If they cannot, the magical energy is rapidly consumed by the Slayer's body, causing any magical energy that was above their maximum to go down to the max. The Slayer can then try to do this again if the opportunity is there.
    Demon Force highly increases the power of the Demon Slayer's magic, physical endurance, speed, and strength by 30% rather than 10%.
    The spell power of each rank is increased to 150%.
    In Demon Force, the Slayer gains an aura of their element that engulfs their body. Physical attacks deal status effects from their respective element. (Frostbite, Burn, Poison, etc.)
    During Demon Force the Slayer does not lose any mp from casting spells, but after it wears off is left with 5% mp.
    Lasts for 7 posts



    Unique Abilities

    Shadow Phantom
    ~terror hidden in the dark~
    Core ability of Eris’ fighting style. Under normal circumstances, the girl’s Slayer magic is completely sealed within her body as measures to directly control the magical pressure that may be put on those around her in day to day life.

    However, the moment she enters proper combat, the seal is broken and Eris enters Shadow Phantom mode. While in this state, her body is constantly enveloped by shadows that creep up her blades and perfectly coat them. This makes whatever weapon she is wielding into an extension of her very self, allowing her to cast her magic through the weapon itself similar to holder magic. But this does not mean she receives perks of actual holder magic, as the Slayer powers are still very much in her body and her weapons can break at any point. On the other hand, the shadow coating her blades also add to their effectiveness, boosting her melee damage by 50%.

    Curse of a Divine Demon
    ~Heaven and Hell~
    Holy shadows constantly creep up Eris' body and weapons in the combat. This effect may seem purely aesthetical at first glance, but that is far from the truth. For whenever she manages to hit someone, by it with a melee strike or one of her spells, she will place a physical curse onto the target. This generates one curse stack for the victim and one blessing stack on Eris herself. These will always be inflicted unless the opponent is of higher rank than the one who inflicts them. They cannot be removed by any magical means and the only way to have them fade away is to get more than 100 meters away from the demon slayer. This will initiate a single post duration where Eris can try to get the enemy into the range again. If she fails, all present stacks, both curse, and blessing ones will disappear, as one cannot exist without the another. As long as these stacks are present, the victim will also be drained of 5% HP every post.

    Decay of Flesh
    ~Curse of vulnerability~
    An ability that utilizes the curse stacks placed on the enemy. Not only will those affected by curse start to lose their selves, their bodies will also start to slowly wither away, their defenses crumble. For every curse stack placed on the enemy, they will lose 10% of their damage resistance, if they have any. This caps off at five stacks.

    Faltering Resolve
    ~Curse of weakness~
    An ability that utilizes the curse stacks placed on the enemy. Not only will those affected by curse start to lose their selves, their bodies will also start to slowly wither away, their strength fading. For every curse stack placed on the enemy, they will lose 10% of their attack damage after every single one of their buffs is calculated. This caps off at five stacks.

    Ascendance of a Demon
    ~Superior Existence~
    Eris has reached heights of power that many can only dream of. Joining ranks of the strongest creatures alive, her very existence entered a new state, one that is above regular mortals. Just like mere two-dimensional beings cannot ever hope to interact with a three-dimensional one, those who are of lower rank that Eris become unable to feel her magical presence at all. To them, she will appear as a regular person who possesses no magic what so ever, unless she deliberately lowers or completely cancels the effects of this trait of hers. The same is also applied to her presence within the material world, as she almost simply "floats" through it. In response to this, her movements and actions outside of casting spells do not produce any sounds whatsoever.

    Demon of Speed
    ~Moving like Shadows~
    After some time, Eris became part of her own shadow and those that are present in Earthland. With something like that, the woman's base speed changed in accordance to her very magic. In other words, her speed will be equal to the speed of single target spell of her own rank. While this can give Eris a considerable boost in speed, it also means that she cannot accept any other speed increases from anyone, not ever herself and her own magic or items. Due to this unfortunate fact, it also makes the girl very vulnerable to speed decreasing abilities, as even the weaker ones will take a considerable amount of speed from her. (Works only in non-pvp situations.)


    Vivid Dreaming
    ~The one who Dreams~

    Whenever Eris falls asleep, she will remain fully aware throughout her dreaming as though if she was fully awake. This allows her to travel through dreamland and communicate with spirits or other people who are dreaming, though they may dismiss the dream when they wake. (Obtained by completely Defender of Dreamland job)

    Type: Signature ; Offensive

    Description: Accumulating her magical power and then channelling it through her sword, Eris can unleash a devastation slash of black shadow mass at the enemy. This slash wave can travel at the speed of 300 m/s for distance of up to 400 meters at which point it will disperse into nothingness. Anyone and everyone who is hit by it will receive regular S-ranked damage (100).
    Strengths:

    • A powerful single strike that can even travel certain distance and injure enemies that are not in close range

    Weaknesses:

    • Direction of the slash cannot be changed once it’s unleashed, forcing Eris to commit to her attack
    • Due to the nature of such slash wave, it can be rather difficult to hit more than one enemy in a single strike

    Description: When in Shadow Phantom mode, Eris’ body is partially made out of shadows themselves. And unlike regular mortal flesh, these shadows are much easier to repair once damaged. With this ability, the girl can simply renew portions of her body and heal her wounds for S-ranked damage (100) once per post.
    Strengths:

    • Powerful healing ability that can even restored damaged or completely removed limbs

    Weaknesses:

    • Eris can only heal her own body, no one else can benefit from this spell
    • Works only when Eris is in Shadow Phantom mode, not outside of it

    Name: Fallen Angel Dance
    Rank: A
    Type: Signature ; Defensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: Once per post
    Description: Some believe that angels which became corrupt and fell from the heavens eventually evolved into demons and devils. However, such thing was never truly confirmed and only legends remain these days. This ability is based on these legends, a special movement technique performed by infusing the space itself around the user with a holy aspect shadow. It's activation is completely invisible to both the user and anyone around and causes the one who cast it to mysteriously dodge a single spell up to the spell's rank. In reality, the space itself around the user is warped and thus allowing anyone inside of it to phase through the incoming attack. But such things are best kept secret, retaining the illusion that the caster is capable of dancing through the opponent's magic effortlessly.
    Strengths:

    • Gives Eris a chance to dodge any single spell up to A-rank on every post
    • This spell's activation is completely invisible, possibly throwing the enemy into confusion when Eris easily dodges their attack

    Weaknesses:

    • Can only be used to evade a single attack of this spell’s rank per use and no more
    • Highly ineffective against chain or multi-hit spells, as only the first attack will be dodged
    • Does not differentiate between low-ranked and high-ranked spells, making it possible for this dodge to be wasted on a weak attack

    Name: Walking in Shadows
    Rank: B
    Type: Signature ; Movement Support
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: Once per post
    Description: A simple spell where Eris temporarily becomes one with the shadows. Her body completely disintegrates and then travels at nearly instant speed to another location that cannot be any further than 50 meters from where she was originally standing, reforming her body there. This can only be performed once per post.
    Strengths:

    • The transportation takes place instantly, meaning Eris can get out of tight spot with a simple thought of this spell

    Weaknesses:

    • Range of the teleportation cannot be extended by any means, even buffs from other, stronger mages
    • As Eris isn’t exactly teleporting, but rather traveling around as a shadow, it’s impossible for her to use this spell to move behind doors or walls


    Name: Shadow Brush: Cutting Edge
    Rank: D
    Type: Signature ; Offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: Instant
    Description: Eris uses her blades to “draw” with shadows into the space itself, creating floating sigil that grant her various powers. This specific one once drawn increases the girl’s melee damage, provided she is wielding a weapon, by 50%. This is restricted to melee damage only and will not boost spell, not weapon damage in itself. The empowerment is also displayed by an aura of holy shadows that will then surround her weapons.
    Strengths:

    • Gives Eris little bit more melee force without the need to perform heavy attacks that impair one’s speed

    Weaknesses:

    • The aura does not deal any actual damage by itself and is completely dependant on the girl’s own melee force
    • Weapons and tools affected by the aura are still vulnerable as much as they were beforehand, meaning this enhancement does not have any defensive properties at all

    D-rank:

    Name: Demon’s Blade
    Rank: D
    Type: Offensive ; Passive (-2% MP)
    Duration: Passive
    Cooldown: Passive
    Description: Demon’s shadow is constantly creeping up Eris’ blade, allowing the magic itself to be cast through it. This ability allows this shadow to go further, exist beyond the blade and extend it’s range. With each swing, a trail of shadows is send forward that extends the range or regular melee strikes up to 15 meters, as well as increasing the damage of said attacks by 25%.


    Name: Perfect Movement
    Rank: D
    Type: Movement Support ; Passive (-2% MP)
    Duration: Passive
    Cooldown: Passive
    Description: Eris learned how to properly manipulate shadow and even give it a physical form. As she moves around, the shadow constantly envelops her body and stays beneath her feet. Thanks to this, she gained the ability to fluidly move around in any environment or conditions, allowing feats such as kicking off any and all surfaces, including even ever-changing ones. She can move with complete ease on land, air, water or anything else.


    Name: Eyes in the Shadow

    Type: Environment Support ; Passive (-2% MP)
    Duration: Passive

    Description: Slayers have naturally enhanced senses that allow them to be much more aware of their surroundings. However, even those can be overcome by skilled enough individuals. In fear of surprise attacks or acts of betrayal, Eris connected herself to the shadows of her own body. The shadow became her eyes and tells her what is going on around her, allowing the girl to see all around her even with closed eyes at all times. In other words, Eris will gain vision of 360 degrees around her body.


    Name: One with the World
    Rank: D
    Type: Environment Support ; Passive (-2% MP)
    Duration: Passive
    Cooldown: Passive
    Description: As Eris became one with her shadows and shadow found in the world, she gained multiple advantages. One of such being able to transform her body freely into a shadow-like state where she can easily move through physical objects with ease. This allows her to move beneath the ground, walk through walls or doors and more. However, she cannot use this ability to avoid being hit by enemy’s attack in any way, as she will be still harmed when her merged form gets attacked.


    Name: Shadow Shapeshifting

    Description: With her body capable of becoming shadow itself, Eris had learned how to completely break down her form and reassemble it to her vision. This essentially allows her to shapeshift and take on any appearance she desires. While this cannot be used to fool the enemy during combat because of her magical signature remaining exactly the same, her speed is increased by 50% if she takes on a form of an animal. However, in such form it becomes impossible for her to actually engage in combat.
    C-rank:

    Name: Shadow Afterimage
    Rank: C
    Type: Offensive ; Melee
    Duration: 5 posts
    Cooldown: 6 posts
    Description: Shadow is something that person leaves on a physical object in their surroundings. However, Eris can leave her shadow in the three dimensional space and delay it slightly from her material body. This will cause a black and slighly transparent afterimage to repeat every move the girl makes. Using her magic, this shadow also becomes completely physical and capable of dealing damage. While it cannot repeat spells Eris casts, it will still hit the enemy for regular melee damage if close enough. These hits follow few seconds after Eris' and if the enemy is fast enough, they might still be able to dodge the second hit.
    Strengths:

    • Adds another layer of melee damage to the girl's attacks if she is close enough to the enemy for the shadow to hit

    Weaknesses:

    • The shadow always repeats what Eris does and cannot move on it's own
    • Deals only melee damage, despite Eris' own attacks possibly doing more than that


    Name: Septette, dance of blades
    Rank: C
    Type: Offensive ; DoT
    Duration: 2 posts
    Cooldown: 3 posts
    Description: Creating a 60 meters wide bubble all around herself made of transparent shadow, Eris marks the territory for her dance. This is done nearly instantly and allows her to break her form into pieces within the bubble, capable of slashing at every inch of it in an instant. This will deal 50% of C-ranked damage to anyone who is caught in this attack. This also inflicts "black blood" DoT effect onto the enemy as Eris' shadows infect the enemy's blood, dealing 30% of C-ranked damage in each of the next 2 posts.
    Strengths:

    • Useful AoE attack that affects everyone close to Eris in all directions

    Weaknesses:

    • Eris can only create the bubble with herself in the center instead of creating it elsewhere more convenient
    • The shadow bubble serve no purpose aside from marking the range of this ability and thus even aiding the enemy, letting them know when they're safe


    Name: Earthen Blade
    Rank: C
    Type: Offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 3 posts
    Description: A rather simple attack that is meant to surprise the enemy. Eris can stab her weapon into the ground and send out a secret shadow below the surface which will travel up to 120 meters at the speed of 90 m/s. If this shadow can reach the enemy, it will form a blade that shoots out of the ground and impales anyone above for regular C-ranked damage.
    Strengths:

    • Out of nowhere attack that the enemy might not see coming

    Weaknesses:

    • A solid ground is required for the attack, making this spell unusable against airborne enemies
    • While stabbing the ground into the ground is supposed to confuse the enemy, it also makes Eris more vulnerable


    Name: Shadow Brush: Empowerment
    Rank: C
    Type: Buff ; Offensive

    Cooldown: 6 posts
    Description: Eris uses her blades to “draw” with shadows into the space itself, creating floating sigil that grant her various powers. This specific one once drawn increases the girl’s damage damage by 25%, giving her a both dark and light aura that is visible to a naked eye around her body.
    Strengths:

    • Decent boost to the girl's power

    Weaknesses:

    • Only affects Eris herself
    • Gives a clear indication that her power is increased through the aura

    B-rank:

    Name: Kitsune's Torii
    Rank: B
    Type: Movement Support ; Offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 4 posts
    Description: Eris can instantly create a Torii gate in front of her. Leaping through it will allow her to dash forward at the speed of 150 m/s further increased by Eris' base movement speed and perform a slashing attack at the end of the dash that will deal 75% of B-ranked damage (45). The dash itself lasts for 200 meters maximum.
    Strengths:

    • Temporarily switching movement speed for spell speed, the mage uses their body as a catalyst for the spells and gainst the ability to move incredibely fast for temporary time
    • Has no cooldown outside of combat, allowing Eris to move around the land faster

    Weaknesses:

    • Once the dash is in progress, it's direction cannot be changed in any way
    • Due to the speed increase the attack provides, the actual slash is not as powerful as other B-ranked offensive spells
    • Summoning a shadow Torii gate out of nowhere is an obvious warning for the enemy


    Name: Cross Break Strike
    Rank: B
    Type: Offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 4 posts
    Description: A regular looking strike. However, the blade is infused with shadows and the moment the enemy is hit for regular B-ranked damage, a cross shaped cutting shadow is send forth around them that will damage anyone else who is caught in it for 75% of B-ranked damage (45) as well. Each side of the cross travels at the speed of 100 m/s for 150 meters.
    Strengths:

    • Despite being capable of damaging multiple enemies at once, the first strike deals full ranked damage
    • Very good at sending crowds of enemies into chaos due to the shape of the attack

    Weaknesses:

    • Due to the attack being cross-shaped, it's not as effective as regular AoE
    • Those caught in the shadow cross only received limited damage instead of the full blow
    • The initial strike is no different from any other vertial sword strike, thus requiring Eris to be attacking point blank
    • Which way the cross will face depends where Eris is standing when attacking, meaning she has to position herself properly if she wants to use this ability properly


    Name: Shadow Fan Dance
    Rank: B
    Type: Offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 4 posts
    Description: Focusing the magic of shadows into her feet and the floor, Eris can create an image of open hand fan on the ground at which she dances with a blade in her hand, slicing anything in the cone of 50 meters in front of her at the speed of 100 m/s. All hit by this attack receive full B-ranked spell damage.
    Strengths:

    • Despite being able to hit multiple enemies, all are still damage for full B-ranked damage

    Weaknesses:

    • Very small range for a spell of it's rank
    • The attack radius is a cone, meaning enemies can easily dodge behind the user


    Name: Barserker's strike
    Rank: B
    Type: Offensive, support
    Duration: 1 post
    Cooldown: 4 posts
    Description: A fairly simple technique for it's rank, allowing Eris to gather the energy of shadows and light into her blade, condensing it and then releasing it all in a single burst. The result is a strike powerful enough to send out a shockwave that tears apart the earth and everything in it's wake. The shockwave travels up to 150 meters at the speed of 112 m/s and is only capable of hitting a single enemy. However, that enemy receives 50% of B-ranked damage and is stunned for a single post, as long as they are of equal or lower rank than this spell.
    Strengths:

    • Capable of stunning every target of B rank or lower
    • Not only does the spell stun enemies, it also deals damage

    Weaknesses:

    • Single target only
    • The spell can only travel in a straight line
    • Targets of higher rank will only receive small amount of damage

    A-rank:

    Name: Fox Demon's Spear
    Rank: A
    Type: Offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 5 posts
    Description: Jumping into the air, Eris will transform her body into pure shadow and launch herself at the enemy in a shape of giant black spear. In this form she can travel for 80 meters at the speed of 40 m/s which is then further boosted by her basic sprinting speed. If she hits an enemy before the maximal distance is reached, she will deal full A-ranked damage to them.
    Strengths:

    • Faster than regular A-ranked spells due to Eris' base sprinting speed also playing a factor
    • Despite the speed being enhanced, the damage dealt by this spell is not decreased at all, as risks presented can yield a good reward

    Weaknesses:

    • Because Eris uses her own body as a catalyst for this spell, she becomes much more vulnerable than when casting a regular ranged spell
    • Eris has to first jump into the air in order to execute this attack which can prove difficult in certain environments
    • As the attack is much more flashy than most attacks in this magic, the enemy can predict it much easier
    • Once in her shadow spear form, Eris can travel only limited distance before her spell falls apart without dealing any damage


    Name: Shadow String Trap
    Rank: A
    Type: Movement Restriction
    Duration: 1 post
    Cooldown: 5 posts
    Description: A restricting spell that sends forth four different shadows. These place themselves in formation that creates a square around the targeted enemy, erecting four shadow pillars that will then shoot out countless black stings which will grab the enemy's body and hold it in place for one post. The square created by this spell can have any size up to 75 by 75 meters. Those of higher rank can break free of these, however, making this spell completely useless against anyone of S-rank and above.
    Strengths:

    • Once caught, the enemy has no way of defending against incoming attacks for a single post
    • Due to the spell's size, several enemies (or allies) can be affected at once

    Weaknesses:

    • Everyone inside of the marked territory will be affected by the spell, which can be problem for allies especially when using the spell at it's maximal size
    • As the enemy is caught only for a single post, Everyone has to carefully choose their plan of action and make their opening as effective as it can possibly be
    • Even enemies who are just a single rank above this spell's can easily tear the string apart and walk away instead of being trapped
    • The four pillars precisely mark the territory of the spell, giving the enemy a clear idea of where they have to get to if they wish to escape the spell's effect


    Name: Leviathan Strike
    Rank: A
    Type: Offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 5 posts
    Description: A powerful multi-staged attacks which starts with Eris stabbing her weapon to the ground and sending out a thin shadow. This shadow can travel up to 150 meters and at the speed of 75 m/s. Eris can then activate the shadow at any point before the maximal distance, instantly transforming it into a whirlpool of darkness on the ground which is also 150 meters in size. Any and all enemies caught in this area will be momentarily stunned as the girl prepares her blade and performs a horizontal cut that will slash everyone caugh and damage them for 50% of A-ranked damage. Once the damage is dealt, the stun is completely gone.
    Strengths:

    • AoE attack that does not depend on Eris' own location

    Weaknesses:

    • The stun within this spell only ensures that the enemy will not move once caught in the spell itself, thus not being as useful as one would think
    • The actual attack is connected to the vortex and only capable of hurting those caught within it. Even if there is a new enemy right in front of Eris but outside of the vortex when she performs the strike, they will not be injured

    A state of Drive, often seen as a lesser version of Force that can be activated at will. When summoned, darkness will constantly surround Eris as her entire body becomes stronger, her magical power running out of control and radiating out. This enhances her damage output by 50% for the entire duration.
    Strengths:

    • Fairly powerful boost to both speed and damage of all kinds

    Weaknesses:

    • Entering the shadow drive state will make Eris' magic go out of control, making everyone capable of sensing her nearly miles away even when she tries to hide her magical energy
    • The visual effect of darkness surrounding the girl while this spell is active will probably give the enemy a solid idea that something major might be going down

    "All life returns to the nature from whence it came!"

    A special attack that fully utilizes the holy aspect of the shadow demon-slaying magic. Eris accumulates her power into her weapon, creating a whirlwind of white and black merging together, and releases it into a single burst by slashing her weapon forth. This shoots out a ball of chaotic energy which can travel up to 400 meters at the speed of 100 m/s. Once this distance is covered or the ball of energy hits something solid, it's energy will be released to cause a massive explosion that will cover the ground of 200 meters and expand at the speed of 150 m/s from the epicenter. This surge of energy warps the space itself, causing all color to temporarily disappear from the affected area, leaving it in the shades of white and gray. All hit by it will receive 50% of S-ranked damage, as well as be left colorless for the next 7 posts. Aside from being aesthetic, this will both a curse and bless them at the same time. Their speed will increase by 25%, but they will also receive 25% more damage from all incoming attacks. Those of a rank higher than this spell can avoid these effects, but all will also receive 10% of S-ranked damage on each post for the entire duration of this spell after being hit by it.
    Strengths:

    • Allows causing AoE explosion from safe distance
    • Curses those who are hit, making them receive extra damage from all sources for the spell's duration
    • Those devoid of color will start to slowly fade away, receiving extra damage over the spell's duration. This can outright kill NPCs, unless they are plot-important

    Weaknesses:

    • Once the ball of magical energy is shot out, it can only travel in a straight line until it hits something
    • If not aimed properly or used too close to the enemy, Eris risks consuming an area she did not want to affect by this spell
    • Capable of hitting allies as much as enemies if they get too close to the explosion
    • Enemies affected will be partially blessed by the spells, their speed increased by a fairly large amount
    • As the spell removes color from a fairly large area, it becomes rather easy to confuse terrain and everything present for all parties

    "The nine jaws of Fox Demon come to make the wicked pay!"

    Most attacks are focus on a single point exploiting a single weakness of those the attack is used against. However, the dance of Nine Moons is different. As a Kitsune of the highest standing, Eris can used her nine tails for more than just looking pretty and fluffy. Channeling her magic and shadows through them, she transforms these appendages into deadly weapons. Taking a low stance on all four where these tails are pointed straight in front of her, the user lunges with her own speed and targets a single enemy within 100 meter radius. Upper arm, collarbone, windpipe, temple, diaphragm, ribs, groin, thigh and shins. Each of her tails is set on one of these targets, all of them striking as one. In a single motion, the enemy is struck by the tails as Eris lands behind them, their body exposed to large quantity of pain as they receive 50% of S-ranked damage and become completely paralyzed for a single post. Those of H rank or above are capable of withstanding this attack and only becoming slowed down by 50% after the strike itself.
    Strengths:

    • Can paralyze all but the strongest of foes
    • Even if the Paralyzation does not take place, the enemy is at least slowed down

    Weaknesses:

    • Uses regular movement speed rather than spell speed
    • Because of having several effects and focusing mainly on paralyzing the enemy, the damage of this spell is limited
    • Uses burst-type range rather than single target

    "Allow me to show you a level of sorcery that exceeds mere magic!"

    Slayer magic has always been taught by those that it is meant to slay. And strangely enough, using it brings the user closer to these beings than they could have ever imagined. Eris always had a special connection to kitsunes, as her physical body was born one. Now, with the magic that was taught by a nine-tailed fox demon, the girl can achieve the final bit of her powers. Once activated, her hair, as well as her tails will start glowing gold, almost shining in the dark. The same happens to all shadows she controls as well, the black slowly fading away as a beautiful gold replaces it. Though this slight appearance adjustment is only aesthetical, it is said that the nine-tailed kitsune's beauty can capture anyone's heart, as NPCs of lower rank might completely lose their will to fight when gazing at the girl. The true power of this spell comes after these initial changes, however.

    In the radius of 300 meters all around Eris, a special barrier will be placed. One that is completely invisible to all and causes those inside of it to see the world around them as if it was engulfed in the night. Even if used during the day, those inside the barrier will see night's sky with many shining stars and a giant crimson red moon above them that bears the symbol of a nine-tailed fox. Everyone exposed to the shine from the moon will have their overall damage and speed reduced by 50% for as long as they remain inside of the night world where the girl, now called Noheme, shines as the brightest star. In addition to this, Noheme will also gain access to a special golden shadow that surrounds her body like a snake. Its reach is 100 meters and can hit each enemy who gets close enough once per post to deal 50% of H-ranked damage. This can be used up to 5 times before the enemy becomes immune to the new shadow.

    Strengths:

    • Provides great debuff for every single being inside of the barrier that is calculated from their final stats after all the buffs have been applied
    • Gives Noheme additional means of dealing small bursts of damage if the enemy gets close to her
    • The barrier moves along with Noheme, as she is it's center and always remains seemingly directly beneath the crimson moon

    Weaknesses:

    • The barrier itself has no physical matter, allowing anyone to walk out if they're capable of doing so
    • Affects allies as well as enemies, for as long as they are exposed to the shine from the crimson moon
    • Instead of DoT which would be provided by most spells like this, Noheme gains a special shadow that can deal limited amount of damage
    • Initial activation deals no damage to the enemies whatsoever
    • In a world that is seemingly clad in the night, Noheme is shining like a golden star. This makes her position always extremely apparent to anyone nearby
    • Unlike regular spells, this one can be used only once in every thread

    More commonly knows as Hell Demon Slayer, this is a lost magic which can only be learned by implementing a specific lacrima into one’s body, or being taught directly by the Demons. In this case, Eris encountered a Shadow Fox Demon which was more that willing to share the secrets of the Slayer arts in exchange for cooperation. As the name suggest, the magic itself is designed to slay demons, as it is imbued with a holy element that caused most, if not every, spells to have a white shining aura and sometimes even color the shadows themselves white. However, the magic is still perfectly capable of destroying anyone and anything in the mage’s way, no matter their race or origin.

    Strengths:

    • Unlike regular Slayer magic, the Shadow Fox Demon Slayer behaves like a holder magic with most of it's spell, making the magic itself more unique and less predictable for those who already have knowledge of how Slayer magic behaves
    • Shadows infused with a holy attribute cannot be devoured by dragon, nor god slayers no matter how hard they try
    • Has increased effectiveness against darkness, demon, and undead type non-human beings

    Weaknesses:

    • Due to the usually selfish nature of Slayer magic, even the Hell Demon Slayer has very little to offer in terms of support for allies or bystanders
    • Despite the infusion of holy element within the magic itself, light is still the greatest enemy of shadows and spells of that element will always win a struggle against spells of this magic, provided they are of equal or greater rank
    • While the magic allows Eris to consume spells of Shadow Dragon Slayers, she cannot do so against her God Slayer counterpart, nor consume her own spells
    • Eris can have a lot of difficulties fighting opponents of higher rank than her, as most unique abilities of this magic can only affect those of equal or lower rank than she is


    Lineage:
    Armored Beast
    Description: A humanoid monster was said to live in a small village in Fiore. The monster was said to be intelligent, yet strong. However, despite holding the intelligence of a human, it was shunned for it's hideous figure, which lead to it crafting it's own armor to hide it. Eventually the armoured beast rescued a princess in distress and they fell in love, eventually settling down and making a family. Their children, however, didn't have a hideous appearance of their father but they were prodigy at war and wore armour fit for conquerors.
    Ability: A passive defensive ability that allows the user to have a higher endurance (50% more HP), tolerance (Poisons and disease/curse effects last half as long) and a keener intellect than most others.

    ~Demon Force~
    A Slayer must consume at least 70% magical energy from his respective element in order to achieve Force, however, their total magical energy must equal to 150% or higher. In other words, the Slayer can still use magic, but if it does not equal to at least 150% magical energy after consuming 70% magical energy, they must consume an appropriate amount to reach it. If the Slayer can achieve this within the next 5 posts, Force is activated. If they cannot, the magical energy is rapidly consumed by the Slayer's body, causing any magical energy that was above their maximum to go down to the max. The Slayer can then try to do this again, if the opportunity is there.
    Demon Force highly increases the power of the Demon Slayer's magic, physical endurance, speed, and strength by 30% rather than 10%.
    The spell power of each rank is increased to 150%.
    In Demon Force, the Slayer gains an aura of their element that engulfs their body. Physical attacks deal status effects from their respective element. (Frostbite, Burn, Poison, etc.)
    During Demon Force the Slayer does not lose any mp from casting spells, but after it wears off is left with 5% mp.

    Unique Abilities

    Shadow Phantom
    ~terror hidden in the dark~
    Core ability of Eris’ fighting style. Under normal circumstances, the girl’s Slayer magic is completely sealed within her body as measures to directly control the magical pressure that may be put on those around her in day to day life.

    However, the moment she enters proper combat, the seal is broken and Eris enters Shadow Phantom mode. While in this state, her body is constantly enveloped by shadows that creep up her blades and perfectly coat them. This makes whatever weapon she is wielding into an extension of her very self, allowing her to cast her magic through the weapon itself similar to holder magic. But this does not mean she receives perks of actual holder magic, as the Slayer powers are still very much in her body and her weapons can break at any point. On the other hand, the shadow coating her blades also add to their effectiveness, boosting both her melee damage and weapon damage by 50%.

    Curse of a Divine Demon
    ~Heaven and Hell~
    Holy shadows constantly creep up Eris' body and weapons in the combat. This effect may seem purely aesthetical at first glance, but that is far from the truth. For whenever she manages to hit someone, by it with a melee strike or one of her spells, she will place a physical curse onto the target. This generates one curse stack for the victim and one blessing stack on Eris herself. These will always be inflicted unless the opponent is of higher rank than the one who inflicts them. They cannot be removed by any magical means and the only way to have them fade away is to get more than 100 meters away from the demon slayer. This will initiate a single post duration where Eris can try to get the enemy into the range again. If she fails, all present stacks, both curse and blessing ones will disappear, as one cannot exist without the another. As long as these stacks are present, the victim will also be drained of 5% HP and MP every post.

    Fox Demon's Dominance
    ~Curse of disability~
    An ability that utilizes the curse stacks placed on the enemy. A curse is something that eats away on being's very existence, forcing the universe to slowly forget them as they fall to the ground, unable to even lift a single finger. The further this curse goes and eats away at them, the weaker they will become, the more they will lose until the curse is finally cured.
    Once at least two curse stacks are placed onto an enemy, they will lose the ability to run teleport or transport away in any way, preventing them from running.
    Once at least four curse stacks are placed onto an enemy, they will lose the ability to be healed in any way known and unknown, preventing them to safe themselves.
    Once at least six curse stacks are placed onto an enemy, they will lose their sense of sight, smell and hearing completely, left with very little that could even tell them what is going on.
    Once at least eight curse stacks are placed onto an enemy, they will receive spell damage based on Eris' rank, slowly finishing them off. This will happen every two stacks above the eight one.

    Decay of Flesh
    ~Curse of vulnerability~
    An ability that utilizes the curse stacks placed on the enemy. Not only will those affected by curse start to lose their selves, their bodies will also start to slowly wither away, their defenses crumble. For every curse stack placed on the enemy, they will lose 10% of their damage resistance, if they have any. This caps off at five stacks.

    Faltering Resolve
    ~Curse of weakness~
    An ability that utilizes the curse stacks placed on the enemy. Not only will those affected by curse start to lose their selves, their bodies will also start to slowly wither away, their strength fading. For every curse stack placed on the enemy, they will lose 10% of their attack damage after every single one of their buffs is calculated. This caps off at five stacks.

    Unstoppable Gale
    ~Blessing of whirlwind~
    An ability that utilizes the blessing stacks placed on Eris when she inflicts curse on others. As her enemies slowly fall apart, she instead grows stronger, for the blessing caused by a magic meant to slay demons is as rotten as a light magic wielded by a mass murderer. For every blessing stack placed on herself, she gains extra 10mph to her speed. This caps off at ten stacks.

    White Lotus
    ~Blessing of indominance~
    An ability that utilizes the blessing stacks placed on Eris when she inflicts curse on others. As her enemies slowly fall apart, she instead grows stronger, for the blessing caused by a magic meant to slay demons is as rotten as a light magic wielded by a mass murderer. For every three new blessing stacks, Eris will gain a full body shield made out of white shadows that are capable of blocking H-ranked damage. However, these do not stack and if the shield is not broken before Eris gains enough new blessing stacks, nothing will happen. This shield can also only protect Eris and no one else.


    Vivid Dreaming


    ~The one who Dreams~

    Whenever Eris falls asleep, she will remain fully aware throughout her dreaming as though if she was fully awake. This allows her to travel through dreamland and communicate with spirits or other people who are dreaming, though they may dismiss the dream when they wake.     Strengths:

    • A powerful single strike that can even travel certain distance and injure enemies that are not in close range

    Weaknesses:

    • Direction of the slash cannot be changed once it’s unleashed, forcing Eris to commit to her attack
    • Due to the nature of such slash wave, it can be rather difficult to hit more than one enemy in a single strike

    • Powerful healing ability that can even restored damaged or completely removed limbs

    Weaknesses:

    • Eris can only heal her own body, no one else can benefit from this spell
    • Works only when Eris is in Shadow Phantom mode, not outside of it

    Description: Regular weapons can only withstand so much before they are shattered into pieces. Eris knows this very well, and as she depends on her blades quite a great deal, she has to take proper measures when trying to block with them. This spell allows her to support her own weapons as they are infused with her shadows and temporarily becoming nearly unbreakable, capable of perfectly defending against a single A-ranked spell once per post or lower ranked spell twice per post.
    Strengths:

    • Allows Eris to block with her weapons against enemy spells without the worry of having her blades broken

    Weaknesses:

    • Can only properly block a single attack of this spell’s rank per use and no more
    • As Eris is using her weapons to protect herself with instead of an actual barrier, it’s possible to properly repel attack that is coming only from one direction

    Description: A simple spell where Eris temporarily becomes one with the shadows. Her body completely disintegrates and then travels at nearly instant speed to another location that cannot be any further than 50 meters from where she was originally standing, reforming her body there. This can only be performed once per post.
    Strengths:

    • The transportation takes place instantly, meaning Eris can get out of tight spot with a simple thought of this spell

    Weaknesses:

    • Range of the teleportation cannot be extended by any means, even buffs from other, stronger mages
    • As Eris isn’t exactly teleporting, but rather traveling around as a shadow, it’s impossible for her to use this spell to move behind doors or walls


    Name: Shadow Sigil: Cutting Edge
    Rank: D

    Description: Eris is capable of using her blades to “draw” with shadows into the space itself, creating floating sigil that grant her various powers. This specific one once drawn increases the girl’s melee damage, provided she is wielding a weapon, by 50%. This is restricted to melee damage only and will not boost spell, not weapon damage. The empowerment is also displayed by a shadowy aura that will then surround her weapons.
    Strengths:

    • Gives Eris little bit more melee force without the need to perform heavy attacks that impair one’s speed

    Weaknesses:

    • The aura does not deal any actual damage by itself and is completely dependant on the girl’s own melee force
    • Weapons and tools affected by the aura are still vulnerable as much as they were beforehand, meaning this enhancement does not have any defensive properties at all

    Description: Demon’s shadow is constantly creeping up Eris’ blade, allowing the magic itself to be cast through it. This ability allows this shadow to go further, exist beyond the blade and extend it’s range. With each swing, a trail of shadows is send forward that extends the range or regular melee strikes up to 15 meters, as well as increasing the damage of said attacks by 25%.

    Description: Eris learned how to properly manipulate shadow and even give it a physical form. As she moves around, the shadow constantly envelops her body and stays beneath her feet. Thanks to this, she gained the ability to fluidly move around in any environment or conditions, allowing feats such as kicking off any and all surfaces, including even ever-changing ones. She can move with complete ease on land, air, water or anything else.

    Description: Slayers have naturally enhanced senses that allow them to be much more aware of their surroundings. However, even those can be overcome by skilled enough individuals. In fear of surprise attacks or acts of betrayal, Eris connected herself to the shadows in the world, as well as her own ones. The shadow became her eyes and tells her what is going on around her, allowing the girl to see all around her even with closed eyes at all times.

    Description: As Eris became one with her shadows and shadow found in the world, she gained multiple advantages. One of such being able to transform her body freely into a shadow-like state where she can easily move through physical objects with ease. This allows her to move beneath the ground, walk through walls or doors and more. However, she cannot use this ability to avoid being hit by enemy’s attack in any way, as she will be still harmed when her merged form gets attacked.


    Name: Fox Demon’s Shifting

    Description: With her body capable of becoming shadow itself, Eris had learned how to completely break down her form and reassemble it to her vision. This essentially allows her to shapeshift and take on any appearance she desires. While this cannot be used to fool the enemy during combat because of her magical signature remaining exactly the same, her speed is increased by 50% if she takes on a form of an animal. However, in such form it becomes impossible for her to actually engage in combat.
    C-rank:

    Name: Shadow Afterimage
    Rank: C
    Type: Offensive
    Duration: 5 posts
    Cooldown: 6 posts
    Description: Shadow is something that person leaves on a physical object in their surroundings. However, Eris can leave her shadow in the three dimensional space and delay it slightly from her material body. This will cause a black and slighly transparent afterimage to repeat every move the girl makes. Using her magic, this shadow also becomes completely physical and capable of dealing damage. While it cannot repeat spells Eris casts, it will still hit the enemy for regular melee damage if close enough.
    Strengths:

    • Adds another layer of melee damage to the girl's attacks if she is close enough to the enemy for the shadow to hit

    Weaknesses:

    • The shadow always repeats what Eris does and cannot move on it's own
    • Deals only melee damage, despite Eris' own attacks possibly doing more than that


    Name: Septette, dance of blades
    Rank: C
    Type: Special Effect ; Offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 3 posts
    Description: Creating a 30 meters wide bubble all around herself made of transparent shadow, Eris marks the territory for her dance. This is done nearly instantly and allows her to break her form into pieces within the bubble, capable of slashing at every inch of it in an instant. This will deal C-rank damage to anyone who is caught in this attack.
    "Alright for this spell since it's an AOE you will have to knock the damage done to 50%rank damage. However with the new rules in place you can increase the range from 30 to 60 meters and add an effect if you wish to compensate for the damage being reduced.

    Strengths:

    • Useful AoE attack that affects everyone close to Eris in all directions

    Weaknesses:

    • Eris can only create the bubble with herself in the center instead of creating it elsewhere more convenient
    • The shadow bubble serve no purpose aside from marking the range of this ability and thus even aiding the enemy, letting them know when they're safe

    Weaknesses:

    • The Singularity ball can only be created above Eris' head, making her position in comparison to enemies important
    • As an AoE attack, this spell deals limited damage to everyone affected

    More commonly known as Hell Demon Slayer, this is a lost magic which can only be learned by implementing a specific lacrima into one’s body, or being taught directly by the Demons. In this case, Eris encountered a Shadow Fox Demon which was more than willing to share the secrets of the Slayer arts in exchange for cooperation. As the name suggests, the magic itself is designed to slay demons, as it is imbued with a holy element that caused most, if not every, spells to have a white shining aura and sometimes even color the shadows themselves white. However, the magic is still perfectly capable of destroying anyone and anything in the mage’s way, no matter their race or origin.

    Strengths:

    • Unlike regular Slayer magic, the Shadow Fox Demon Slayer behaves like a holder magic with most of its spell, making the magic itself more unique and less predictable for those who already have knowledge of how Slayer magic behaves
    • Shadows infused with a holy attribute cannot be devoured by dragon, nor god slayers no matter how hard they try
    • Has increased effectiveness against darkness, demon, and undead type non-human beings

    Weaknesses:

    • Due to the usually selfish nature of Slayer magic, even the Hell Demon Slayer has very little to offer in terms of support for allies or bystanders
    • Despite the infusion of holy element within the magic itself, light is still the greatest enemy of shadows and spells of that element will always win a struggle against spells of this magic, provided they are of equal or greater rank
    • While the magic allows Eris to consume spells of Shadow Dragon Slayers, she cannot do so against her God Slayer counterpart, nor consume her own spells
    • Eris can have a lot of difficulties fighting opponents of higher rank than her, as most unique abilities of this magic can only affect those of equal or lower rank than she is


    Lineage:
    Armored Beast
    Description: A humanoid monster was said to live in a small village in Fiore. The monster was said to be intelligent, yet strong. However, despite holding the intelligence of a human, it was shunned for its hideous figure, which leads to it crafting its own armor to hide it. Eventually, the armoured beast rescued a princess in distress and they fell in love, eventually settling down and making a family. Their children, however, didn't have a hideous appearance of their father but they were a prodigy at war and wore armour fit for conquerors.
    Ability: A passive defensive ability that allows the user to have a higher endurance (50% more HP), tolerance (Poisons and disease/curse effects last half as long) and a keener intellect than most others.
    Usage: Passive



    Slayer Perks

    • 10% Buff to physical stats (strength, speed etc)
    • 10% Buff to senses (hearing, smell etc)
    • The ability to enter force after consuming enough of the element
    • The ability to consume their element to regain MP

    ~Demon Force~
    A Slayer must consume at least 70% magical energy from his respective element in order to achieve Force, however, their total magical energy must equal to 150% or higher. In other words, the Slayer can still use magic, but if it does not equal to at least 150% magical energy after consuming 70% magical energy, they must consume an appropriate amount to reach it. If the Slayer can achieve this within the next 5 posts, Force is activated. If they cannot, the magical energy is rapidly consumed by the Slayer's body, causing any magical energy that was above their maximum to go down to the max. The Slayer can then try to do this again if the opportunity is there.
    Demon Force highly increases the power of the Demon Slayer's magic, physical endurance, speed, and strength by 30% rather than 10%.
    The spell power of each rank is increased to 150%.
    In Demon Force, the Slayer gains an aura of their element that engulfs their body. Physical attacks deal status effects from their respective element. (Frostbite, Burn, Poison, etc.)
    During Demon Force the Slayer does not lose any mp from casting spells, but after it wears off is left with 5% mp.

    Unique Abilities

    Shadow Phantom
    ~terror hidden in the dark~
    Core ability of Eris’ fighting style. Under normal circumstances, the girl’s Slayer magic is completely sealed within her body as measures to directly control the magical pressure that may be put on those around her in day to day life.

    However, the moment she enters proper combat, the seal is broken and Eris enters Shadow Phantom mode. While in this state, her body is constantly enveloped by shadows that creep up her blades and perfectly coat them. This makes whatever weapon she is wielding into an extension of her very self, allowing her to cast her magic through the weapon itself similar to holder magic. But this does not mean she receives perks of actual holder magic, as the Slayer powers are still very much in her body and her weapons can break at any point. On the other hand, the shadow coating her blades also add to their effectiveness, boosting both her melee damage and weapon damage by 50%.

    Curse of a Divine Demon
    ~Heaven and Hell~
    Holy shadows constantly creep up Eris' body and weapons in the combat. This effect may seem purely aesthetical at first glance, but that is far from the truth. For whenever she manages to hit someone, by it with a melee strike or one of her spells, she will place a physical curse onto the target. This generates one curse stack for the victim and one blessing stack on Eris herself. These will always be inflicted unless the opponent is of higher rank than the one who inflicts them. They cannot be removed by any magical means and the only way to have them fade away is to get more than 100 meters away from the demon slayer. This will initiate a single post duration where Eris can try to get the enemy into the range again. If she fails, all present stacks, both curse, and blessing ones will disappear, as one cannot exist without the another. As long as these stacks are present, the victim will also be drained of 5% HP and MP every post.

    Fox Demon's Dominance
    ~Curse of disability~
    An ability that utilizes the curse stacks placed on the enemy. A curse is something that eats away on being's very existence, forcing the universe to slowly forget them as they fall to the ground, unable to even lift a single finger. The further this curse goes and eats away at them, the weaker they will become, the more they will lose until the curse is finally cured.
    Once at least two curse stacks are placed onto an enemy, they will lose the ability to run teleport or transport away in any way, preventing them from running.
    Once at least four curse stacks are placed onto an enemy, they will lose the ability to be healed in any way known and unknown, preventing them from saving themselves.
    Once at least six curse stacks are placed onto an enemy, they will lose their sense of sight, smell and hearing completely, left with very little that could even tell them what is going on.
    Once at least eight curse stacks are placed onto an enemy, they will receive spell damage based on Eris' rank, slowly finishing them off. This will happen every two stacks above the eighth one.

    Decay of Flesh
    ~Curse of vulnerability~
    An ability that utilizes the curse stacks placed on the enemy. Not only will those affected by curse start to lose their selves, their bodies will also start to slowly wither away, their defenses crumble. For every curse stack placed on the enemy, they will lose 10% of their damage resistance, if they have any. This caps off at five stacks.

    Faltering Resolve
    ~Curse of weakness~
    An ability that utilizes the curse stacks placed on the enemy. Not only will those affected by curse start to lose their selves, their bodies will also start to slowly wither away, their strength fading. For every curse stack placed on the enemy, they will lose 10% of their attack damage after every single one of their buffs is calculated. This caps off at five stacks.

    Ascendance of a Demon
    ~Superior Existence~
    Eris has reached heights of power that many can only dream of. Joining ranks of the strongest creatures alive, her very existence entered a new state, one that is above regular mortals. Just like mere two-dimensional beings cannot ever hope to interact with a three-dimensional one, those who are of lower rank that Eris become unable to feel her magical presence at all. To them, she will appear as a regular person who possesses no magic what so ever, unless she deliberately lowers or completely cancels the effects of this trait of hers. The same is also applied to her presence within the material world, as she almost simply "floats" through it. In response to this, her movements and actions outside of casting spells do not produce any sounds whatsoever.

    Demon of Speed
    ~Moving like Shadows~
    After some time, Eris became part of her own shadow and those that are present in Earthland. With something like that, the woman's base speed changed in accordance to her very magic. In other words, her speed will be equal to the speed of single target spell of her own rank. While this can give Eris a considerable boost in speed, it also means that she cannot accept any other speed increases from anyone, not ever herself and her own magic or items. Due to this unfortunate fact, it also makes the girl very vulnerable to speed decreasing abilities, as even the weaker ones will take a considerable amount of speed from her.


    Vivid Dreaming
    ~The one who Dreams~

    Whenever Eris falls asleep, she will remain fully aware throughout her dreaming as though if she was fully awake. This allows her to travel through dreamland and communicate with spirits or other people who are dreaming, though they may dismiss the dream when they wake.     • Direction of the slash cannot be changed once it’s unleashed, forcing Eris to commit to her attack
    • Due to the nature of such slash wave, it can be rather difficult to hit more than one enemy in a single strike

    • Powerful healing ability that can even restored damaged or completely removed limbs

    Weaknesses:

    • Eris can only heal her own body, no one else can benefit from this spell
    • Works only when Eris is in Shadow Phantom mode, not outside of it

    Type: Signature ; Defensive

    Description: Some believe that angels which became corrupt and fell from the heavens eventually evolved into demons and devils. However, such thing was never truly confirmed and only legends remain these days. This ability is based on these legends, a special movement technique performed by infusing the space itself around the user with a holy aspect shadow. It's activation is completely invisible to both the user and anyone around and causes the one who cast it to mysteriously dodge a single spell up to the spell's rank. In reality, the space itself around the user is warped and thus allowing anyone inside of it to phase through the incoming attack. But such things are best kept secret, retaining the illusion that the caster is capable of dancing through the opponent's magic effortlessly.
    Strengths:

    • Gives Eris a chance to dodge any single spell up to A-rank on every post
    • This spell's activation is completely invisible, possibly throwing the enemy into confusion when Eris easily dodges their attack

    Weaknesses:

    • Can only be used to evade a single attack of this spell’s rank per use and no more
    • Highly ineffective against chain or multi-hit spells, as only the first attack will be dodged
    • Does not differentiate between low-ranked and high-ranked spells, making it possible for this dodge to be wasted on a weak attack

    Description: A simple spell where Eris temporarily becomes one with the shadows. This can only be performed once per post.
    Strengths:

    • The transportation takes place instantly, meaning Eris can get out of tight spot with a simple thought of this spell

    Weaknesses:

    • Range of the teleportation cannot be extended by any means, even buffs from other, stronger mages
    • As Eris isn’t exactly teleporting, but rather traveling around as a shadow, it’s impossible for her to use this spell to move behind doors or walls


    Name: Shadow Brush: Cutting Edge

    Description: Eris uses her blades to “draw” with shadows into the space itself, creating floating sigil that grant her various powers. This is restricted to melee damage only and will not boost spell, not weapon damage in itself. The empowerment is also displayed by an aura of holy shadows that will then surround her weapons.
    Strengths:

    • Gives Eris little bit more melee force without the need to perform heavy attacks that impair one’s speed

    Weaknesses:

    • The aura does not deal any actual damage by itself and is completely dependant on the girl’s own melee force
    • Weapons and tools affected by the aura are still vulnerable as much as they were beforehand, meaning this enhancement does not have any defensive properties at all

    D-rank:

    Name: Demon’s Blade

    Description: Demon’s shadow is constantly creeping up Eris’ blade, allowing the magic itself to be cast through it. This ability allows this shadow to go further, exist beyond the blade and extend it’s range. With each swing, a trail of shadows is send forward that extends the range or regular melee strikes up to 15 meters, as well as increasing the damage of said attacks by 25%.

    Description: Eris learned how to properly manipulate shadow and even give it a physical form. As she moves around, the shadow constantly envelops her body and stays beneath her feet. Thanks to this, she gained the ability to fluidly move around in any environment or conditions, allowing feats such as kicking off any and all surfaces, including even ever-changing ones. She can move with complete ease on land, air, water or anything else.

    Description: Slayers have naturally enhanced senses that allow them to be much more aware of their surroundings. However, even those can be overcome by skilled enough individuals. The shadow became her eyes and tells her what is going on around her, allowing the girl to see all around her even with closed eyes at all times.

    Description: As Eris became one with her shadows and shadow found in the world, she gained multiple advantages. One of such being able to transform her body freely into a shadow-like state where she can easily move through physical objects with ease. However, she cannot use this ability to avoid being hit by enemy’s attack in any way, as she will be still harmed when her merged form gets attacked.

However, in such form it becomes impossible for her to actually engage in combat.

    Description: Shadow is something that person leaves on a physical object in their surroundings. However, Eris can leave her shadow in the three dimensional space and delay it slightly from her material body. This will cause a black and slighly transparent afterimage to repeat every move the girl makes. Using her magic, this shadow also becomes completely physical and capable of dealing damage. While it cannot repeat spells Eris casts, it will still hit the enemy for regular melee damage if close enough.
    Strengths:

    • Adds another layer of melee damage to the girl's attacks if she is close enough to the enemy for the shadow to hit

    Weaknesses:

    • The shadow always repeats what Eris does and cannot move on it's own
    • Deals only melee damage, despite Eris' own attacks possibly doing more than that


    Name: Septette, dance of blades

    Description: Creating a 60 meters wide bubble all around herself made of transparent shadow, Eris marks the territory for her dance. This is done nearly instantly and allows her to break her form into pieces within the bubble, capable of slashing at every inch of it in an instant. This will deal 50% of C-ranked damage to anyone who is caught in this attack. This also inflicts "black blood" DoT effect onto the enemy as Eris' shadows infect the enemy's blood, dealing 30% of C-ranked damage in each of the next 2 posts.
    Strengths:

    • Useful AoE attack that affects everyone close to Eris in all directions

    Weaknesses:

    • Eris can only create the bubble with herself in the center instead of creating it elsewhere more convenient
    • The shadow bubble serve no purpose aside from marking the range of this ability and thus even aiding the enemy, letting them know when they're safe


    Name: Earthen Blade

    Description: A rather simple attack that is meant to surprise the enemy. Eris can stab her weapon into the ground and send out a secret shadow below the surface which will travel up to 120 meters at the speed of 90 m/s. If this shadow can reach the enemy, it will form a blade that shoots out of the ground and impales anyone above for regular C-ranked damage.
    Strengths:

    • Out of nowhere attack that the enemy might not see coming

    Weaknesses:

    • A solid ground is required for the attack, making this spell unusable against airborne enemies
    • While stabbing the ground into the ground is supposed to confuse the enemy, it also makes Eris more vulnerable

    Strengths:

    • Temporarily switching movement speed for spell speed, the mage uses their body as a catalyst for the spells and gainst the ability to move incredibely fast for temporary time
    • Has no cooldown outside of combat, allowing Eris to move around the land faster

    Weaknesses:

    • Once the dash is in progress, it's direction cannot be changed in any way
    • Due to the speed increase the attack provides, the actual slash is not as powerful as other B-ranked offensive spells
    • Summoning a shadow Torii gate out of nowhere is an obvious warning for the enemy

    Description: A regular looking strike. However, the blade is infused with shadows and the moment the enemy is hit for regular B-ranked damage, a cross shaped cutting shadow is send forth that will damage anyone who is caught in it for 75% of B-ranked damage (45) as well. Each side of the cross travels at the speed of 100 m/s for 150 meters.
    Strengths:

    • Despite being capable of damaging multiple enemies at once, the first strike deals full ranked damage
    • Very good at sending crowds of enemies into chaos due to the shape of the attack

    Weaknesses:

    • Due to the attack being cross-shaped, it's not as effective as regular AoE
    • Those caught in the shadow cross only received limited damage instead of the full blow
    • The initial strike is no different from any other vertial sword strike, thus requiring Eris to be attacking point blank
    • Which way the cross will face depends where Eris is standing when attacking, meaning she has to position herself properly if she wants to use this ability properly

    Description: Focusing the magic of shadows into her feet and the floor, Eris can create an image of open hand fan on the ground at which she dances with a blade in her hand, slicing anything in the cone of 50 meters in front of her at the speed of 100 m/s. All hit by this attack receive full B-ranked spell damage.
    Strengths:

    • Despite being able to hit multiple enemies, all are still damage for full B-ranked damage

    Weaknesses:

    • Very small range for a spell of it's rank
    • The attack radius is a cone, meaning enemies can easily dodge behind the user

    Description: A fairly simple technique for it's rank, allowing Eris to gather the energy of shadows and light into her blade, condensing it and then releasing it all in a single burst. The result is a strike powerful enough to send out a shockwave that tears apart the earth and everything in it's wake. The shockwave travels up to 150 meters at the speed of 112 m/s and is only capable of hitting a single enemy. However, that enemy receives 50% of B-ranked damage and is stunned for a single post, as long as they are of equal or lower rank than this spell.
    Strengths:

    • Capable of stunning every target of B rank or lower
    • Not only does the spell stun enemies, it also deals damage

    Weaknesses:

    • Single target only
    • The spell can only travel in a straight line
    • Targets of higher rank will only receive small amount of damage

    A-rank:

    Name: Fox Demon's Spear
    Rank: A
    Type: Offensive

    Description: Jumping into the air, Eris will transform her body into pure shadow and launch herself at the enemy in a shape of giant black spear. In this form she can travel for 80 meters at the speed of 40 m/s which is then further boosted by her basic sprinting speed. If she hits an enemy before the maximal distance is reached, she will deal full A-ranked damage to them.
    Strengths:

    • Faster than regular A-ranked spells due to Eris' base sprinting speed also playing a factor
    • Despite the speed being enhanced, the damage dealt by this spell is not decreased at all, as risks presented can yield a good reward

    Weaknesses:

    • Because Eris uses her own body as a catalyst for this spell, she becomes much more vulnerable than when casting a regular ranged spell
    • Eris has to first jump into the air in order to execute this attack which can prove difficult in certain environments
    • As the attack is much more flashy than most attacks in this magic, the enemy can predict it much easier
    • Once in her shadow spear form, Eris can travel only limited distance before her spell falls apart without dealing any damage

    Description: A restricting spell that sends forth four different shadows. These place themselves in formation that creates a square around the targeted enemy, erecting four shadow pillars that will then shoot out countless black stings which will grab the enemy's body and hold it in place for one post. The square created by this spell can have any size up to 75 by 75 meters. Those of higher rank can break free of these, however, making this spell completely useless against anyone of S-rank and above.
    Strengths:

    • Once caught, the enemy has no way of defending against incoming attacks for a single post
    • Due to the spell's size, several enemies (or allies) can be affected at once

    Weaknesses:

    • Everyone inside of the marked territory will be affected by the spell, which can be problem for allies especially when using the spell at it's maximal size
    • As the enemy is caught only for a single post, Everyone has to carefully choose their plan of action and make their opening as effective as it can possibly be
    • Even enemies who are just a single rank above this spell's can easily tear the string apart and walk away instead of being trapped
    • The four pillars precisely mark the territory of the spell, giving the enemy a clear idea of where they have to get to if they wish to escape the spell's effect


    Name: Leviathan Strike
    Rank: A
    Type: Offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 5 posts
    Description: A powerful multi-staged attacks which starts with Eris stabbing her weapon to the ground and sending out a thin shadow. This shadow can travel up to 150 meters and at the speed of 75 m/s. Eris can then activate the shadow at any point before the maximal distance, instantly transforming it into a whirlpool of darkness on the ground which is also 150 meters in size. Any and all enemies caught in this area will be momentarily stunned as the girl prepares her blade and performs a horizontal cut that will slash everyone caugh and damage them for 50% of A-ranked damage. Once the damage is dealt, the stun is completely gone.
    Strengths:

    • AoE attack that does not depend on Eris' own location

    Weaknesses:

    • The stun within this spell only ensures that the enemy will not move once caught in the spell itself, thus not being as useful as one would think
    • The actual attack is connected to the vortex and only capable of hurting those caught within it. Even if there is a new enemy right in front of Eris but outside of the vortex when she performs the strike, they will not be injured

    S-rank:

    "The power of a Demon, manifest in a single spell... Shadow Drive!"

    A state of Drive, often seen as a lesser version of Force that can be activated at will. When summoned, darkness will constantly surround Eris as her entire body becomes stronger, her magical power running out of control and radiating out. This enhances her damage output by 50% for the entire duration.
    Strengths:

    • Fairly powerful boost to both speed and damage of all kinds

    Weaknesses:

    • Entering the shadow drive state will make Eris' magic go out of control, making everyone capable of sensing her nearly miles away even when she tries to hide her magical energy
    • The visual effect of darkness surrounding the girl while this spell is active will probably give the enemy a solid idea that something major might be going down


    Name: Heavenly Demon Revival

    Type: Offensive ; Debuff ; Buff ; DoT

    "All life returns to the nature from whence it came!"

    A special attack that fully utilizes the holy aspect of the shadow demon-slaying magic. Eris accumulates her power into her weapon, creating a whirlwind of white and black merging together, and releases it into a single burst by slashing her weapon forth. This shoots out a ball of chaotic energy which can travel up to 400 meters at the speed of 100 m/s. Once this distance is covered or the ball of energy hits something solid, it's energy will be released to cause a massive explosion that will cover the ground of 200 meters and expand at the speed of 150 m/s from the epicenter. This surge of energy warps the space itself, causing all color to temporarily disappear from the affected area, leaving it in the shades of white and gray. All hit by it will receive 50% of S-ranked damage, as well as be left colorless for the next 7 posts. Aside from being aesthetic, this will both a curse and bless them at the same time. Their speed will increase by 25%, but they will also receive 25% more damage from all incoming attacks. Those of a rank higher than this spell can avoid these effects, but all will also receive 10% of S-ranked damage on each post for the entire duration of this spell after being hit by it.
    Strengths:

    • Allows causing AoE explosion from safe distance
    • Curses those who are hit, making them receive extra damage from all sources for the spell's duration
    • Those devoid of color will start to slowly fade away, receiving extra damage over the spell's duration. This can outright kill NPCs, unless they are plot-important

    Weaknesses:

    • Once the ball of magical energy is shot out, it can only travel in a straight line until it hits something
    • If not aimed properly or used too close to the enemy, Eris risks consuming an area she did not want to affect by this spell
    • Capable of hitting allies as much as enemies if they get too close to the explosion
    • Enemies affected will be partially blessed by the spells, their speed increased by a fairly large amount
    • As the spell removes color from a fairly large area, it becomes rather easy to confuse terrain and everything present for all parties

    "The nine jaws of Fox Demon come to make the wicked pay!"

    Most attacks are focus on a single point exploiting a single weakness of those the attack is used against. However, the dance of Nine Moons is different. As a Kitsune of the highest standing, Eris can used her nine tails for more than just looking pretty and fluffy. Channeling her magic and shadows through them, she transforms these appendages into deadly weapons. Taking a low stance on all four where these tails are pointed straight in front of her, the user lunges with her own speed and targets a single enemy within 100 meter radius. Upper arm, collarbone, windpipe, temple, diaphragm, ribs, groin, thigh and shins. Each of her tails is set on one of these targets, all of them striking as one. In a single motion, the enemy is struck by the tails as Eris lands behind them, their body exposed to large quantity of pain as they receive 50% of S-ranked damage and become completely paralyzed for a single post. Those of H rank or above are capable of withstanding this attack and only becoming slowed down by 50% after the strike itself.
    Strengths:

    • Can paralyze all but the strongest of foes
    • Even if the Paralyzation does not take place, the enemy is at least slowed down

    Weaknesses:

    • Uses regular movement speed rather than spell speed
    • Because of having several effects and focusing mainly on paralyzing the enemy, the damage of this spell is limited
    • Uses burst-type range rather than single target

    "Allow me to show you a level of sorcery that exceeds mere magic!"

    Slayer magic has always been taught by those that it is meant to slay. And strangely enough, using it brings the user closer to these beings than they could have ever imagined. Eris always had a special connection to kitsunes, as her physical body was born one. Now, with the magic that was taught by a nine-tailed fox demon, the girl can achieve the final bit of her powers. Once activated, her hair, as well as her tails will start glowing gold, almost shining in the dark. The same happens to all shadows she controls as well, the black slowly fading away as a beautiful gold replaces it. Though this slight appearance adjustment is only aesthetical, it is said that the nine-tailed kitsune's beauty can capture anyone's heart, as NPCs of lower rank might completely lose their will to fight when gazing at the girl. The true power of this spell comes after these initial changes, however.

    In the radius of 300 meters all around Eris, a special barrier will be placed. One that is completely invisible to all and causes those inside of it to see the world around them as if it was engulfed in the night. Even if used during the day, those inside the barrier will see night's sky with many shining stars and a giant crimson red moon above them that bears the symbol of a nine-tailed fox. Everyone exposed to the shine from the moon will have their overall damage and speed reduced by 50% for as long as they remain inside of the night world where the girl, now called Noheme, shines as the brightest star. In addition to this, Noheme will also gain access to a special golden shadow that surrounds her body like a snake. Its reach is 100 meters and can hit each enemy who gets close enough once per post to deal 50% of H-ranked damage. This can be used up to 5 times before the enemy becomes immune to the new shadow.

    Strengths:

    • Provides great debuff for every single being inside of the barrier that is calculated from their final stats after all the buffs have been applied
    • Gives Noheme additional means of dealing small bursts of damage if the enemy gets close to her
    • The barrier moves along with Noheme, as she is it's center and always remains seemingly directly beneath the crimson moon

    Weaknesses:

    • The barrier itself has no physical matter, allowing anyone to walk out if they're capable of doing so
    • Affects allies as well as enemies, for as long as they are exposed to the shine from the crimson moon
    • Instead of DoT which would be provided by most spells like this, Noheme gains a special shadow that can deal limited amount of damage
    • Initial activation deals no damage to the enemies whatsoever
    • In a world that is seemingly clad in the night, Noheme is shining like a golden star. This makes her position always extremely apparent to anyone nearby
    • Unlike regular spells, this one can be used only once in every thread

    Shadow Phantom: Can you take out the 50% for weapon damage? It's a given for melee damage, so the damage that your weapon would inflict is increased by 50% melee damage as that is a melee strike.

    Curse of a Divine Demon: I know this, I use this myself, so the drain of both MP and HP per turn is a bit much. I ask you decrease this to either MP or HP. The stacks are definitely a good effect alongside this, which is why I ask for this edit.

    Fox Demon's Dominance: All right, the whole stacking effects thing has been done with, so I ask you choose one of these effects and stack requirements. If it's the last one, I ask you clarify that you don't inflict additional damage if for example, Elyx goes from 9 stacks back to 8. If it's the teleport/run lock, I suggest removing the running part. People aren't meant to be so hopeless, teleportation is already a huge punishment.

    Decay of Flesh: No problem here!

    Faltering Resolve: Same here

    Ascendance of a Demon: Approved

    Demon of Speed: Have this only target your own spells. Otherwise, you can easily dodge every single spell attack from your opponent by targeting their stuff.

    More commonly known as Hell Demon Slayer, this is a lost magic which can only be learned by implementing a specific lacrima into one’s body, or being taught directly by the Demons. In this case, Eris encountered a Shadow Fox Demon which was more than willing to share the secrets of the Slayer arts in exchange for cooperation. As the name suggests, the magic itself is designed to slay demons, as it is imbued with a holy element that caused most, if not every, spells to have a white shining aura and sometimes even color the shadows themselves white. However, the magic is still perfectly capable of destroying anyone and anything in the mage’s way, no matter their race or origin.

    Strengths:

    • Unlike regular Slayer magic, the Shadow Fox Demon Slayer behaves like a holder magic with most of its spell, making the magic itself more unique and less predictable for those who already have knowledge of how Slayer magic behaves
    • Shadows infused with a holy attribute cannot be devoured by dragon, nor god slayers no matter how hard they try
    • Has increased effectiveness against darkness, demon, and undead type non-human beings

    Weaknesses:

    • Due to the usually selfish nature of Slayer magic, even the Hell Demon Slayer has very little to offer in terms of support for allies or bystanders
    • Despite the infusion of holy element within the magic itself, light is still the greatest enemy of shadows and spells of that element will always win a struggle against spells of this magic, provided they are of equal or greater rank
    • While the magic allows Eris to consume spells of Shadow Dragon Slayers, she cannot do so against her God Slayer counterpart, nor consume her own spells
    • Eris can have a lot of difficulties fighting opponents of higher rank than her, as most unique abilities of this magic can only affect those of equal or lower rank than she is


    Lineage:
    Armored Beast
    Description: A humanoid monster was said to live in a small village in Fiore. The monster was said to be intelligent, yet strong. However, despite holding the intelligence of a human, it was shunned for its hideous figure, which leads to it crafting its own armor to hide it. Eventually, the armoured beast rescued a princess in distress and they fell in love, eventually settling down and making a family. Their children, however, didn't have a hideous appearance of their father but they were a prodigy at war and wore armour fit for conquerors.
    Ability: A passive defensive ability that allows the user to have a higher endurance (50% more HP), tolerance (Poisons and disease/curse effects last half as long) and a keener intellect than most others.
    Usage: Passive



    Slayer Perks

    • 10% Buff to physical stats (strength, speed etc)
    • 10% Buff to senses (hearing, smell etc)
    • The ability to enter force after consuming enough of the element
    • The ability to consume their element to regain MP

    A resistance to their element shown by the following chart:

    • 2 ranks above: 0%
    • 1 rank above: 10%
    • Same rank: 25%
    • 1 rank below: 30%
    • 2 ranks below: 50%


    ~Demon Force~
    A Slayer must consume at least 70% magical energy from his respective element in order to achieve Force, however, their total magical energy must equal to 150% or higher. In other words, the Slayer can still use magic, but if it does not equal to at least 150% magical energy after consuming 70% magical energy, they must consume an appropriate amount to reach it. If the Slayer can achieve this within the next 5 posts, Force is activated. If they cannot, the magical energy is rapidly consumed by the Slayer's body, causing any magical energy that was above their maximum to go down to the max. The Slayer can then try to do this again if the opportunity is there.
    Demon Force highly increases the power of the Demon Slayer's magic, physical endurance, speed, and strength by 30% rather than 10%.
    The spell power of each rank is increased to 150%.
    In Demon Force, the Slayer gains an aura of their element that engulfs their body. Physical attacks deal status effects from their respective element. (Frostbite, Burn, Poison, etc.)
    During Demon Force the Slayer does not lose any mp from casting spells, but after it wears off is left with 5% mp.

    Unique Abilities

    Shadow Phantom
    ~terror hidden in the dark~
    Core ability of Eris’ fighting style. Under normal circumstances, the girl’s Slayer magic is completely sealed within her body as measures to directly control the magical pressure that may be put on those around her in day to day life.

    However, the moment she enters proper combat, the seal is broken and Eris enters Shadow Phantom mode. While in this state, her body is constantly enveloped by shadows that creep up her blades and perfectly coat them. This makes whatever weapon she is wielding into an extension of her very self, allowing her to cast her magic through the weapon itself similar to holder magic. But this does not mean she receives perks of actual holder magic, as the Slayer powers are still very much in her body and her weapons can break at any point. On the other hand, the shadow coating her blades also add to their effectiveness, boosting her melee damage by 50%.

    Curse of a Divine Demon
    ~Heaven and Hell~
    Holy shadows constantly creep up Eris' body and weapons in the combat. This effect may seem purely aesthetical at first glance, but that is far from the truth. For whenever she manages to hit someone, by it with a melee strike or one of her spells, she will place a physical curse onto the target. This generates one curse stack for the victim and one blessing stack on Eris herself. These will always be inflicted unless the opponent is of higher rank than the one who inflicts them. They cannot be removed by any magical means and the only way to have them fade away is to get more than 100 meters away from the demon slayer. This will initiate a single post duration where Eris can try to get the enemy into the range again. If she fails, all present stacks, both curse, and blessing ones will disappear, as one cannot exist without the another. As long as these stacks are present, the victim will also be drained of 5% HP every post.

    Decay of Flesh
    ~Curse of vulnerability~
    An ability that utilizes the curse stacks placed on the enemy. Not only will those affected by curse start to lose their selves, their bodies will also start to slowly wither away, their defenses crumble. For every curse stack placed on the enemy, they will lose 10% of their damage resistance, if they have any. This caps off at five stacks.

    Ascendance of a Demon
    ~Superior Existence~
    Eris has reached heights of power that many can only dream of. Joining ranks of the strongest creatures alive, her very existence entered a new state, one that is above regular mortals. Just like mere two-dimensional beings cannot ever hope to interact with a three-dimensional one, those who are of lower rank that Eris become unable to feel her magical presence at all. To them, she will appear as a regular person who possesses no magic what so ever, unless she deliberately lowers or completely cancels the effects of this trait of hers. The same is also applied to her presence within the material world, as she almost simply "floats" through it. In response to this, her movements and actions outside of casting spells do not produce any sounds whatsoever.

    Demon of Speed
    ~Moving like Shadows~
    After some time, Eris became part of her own shadow and those that are present in Earthland. With something like that, the woman's base speed changed in accordance to her very magic. In other words, her speed will be equal to the speed of single target spell of her own rank. While this can give Eris a considerable boost in speed, it also means that she cannot accept any other speed increases from anyone, not ever herself and her own magic or items. Due to this unfortunate fact, it also makes the girl very vulnerable to speed decreasing abilities, as even the weaker ones will take a considerable amount of speed from her. (Works only in non-pvp situations.)


    Vivid Dreaming
    ~The one who Dreams~

    Whenever Eris falls asleep, she will remain fully aware throughout her dreaming as though if she was fully awake. This allows her to travel through dreamland and communicate with spirits or other people who are dreaming, though they may dismiss the dream when they wake. This slash wave can travel at the speed of 300 m/s for distance of up to 400 meters at which point it will disperse into nothingness. Anyone and everyone who is hit by it will receive regular S-ranked damage (100).
    Strengths:

    • A powerful single strike that can even travel certain distance and injure enemies that are not in close range

    Weaknesses:

    • Direction of the slash cannot be changed once it’s unleashed, forcing Eris to commit to her attack
    • Due to the nature of such slash wave, it can be rather difficult to hit more than one enemy in a single strike

    • Powerful healing ability that can even restored damaged or completely removed limbs

    Weaknesses:

    • Eris can only heal her own body, no one else can benefit from this spell
    • Works only when Eris is in Shadow Phantom mode, not outside of it

    Description: Some believe that angels which became corrupt and fell from the heavens eventually evolved into demons and devils. However, such thing was never truly confirmed and only legends remain these days. This ability is based on these legends, a special movement technique performed by infusing the space itself around the user with a holy aspect shadow. It's activation is completely invisible to both the user and anyone around and causes the one who cast it to mysteriously dodge a single spell up to the spell's rank. In reality, the space itself around the user is warped and thus allowing anyone inside of it to phase through the incoming attack. But such things are best kept secret, retaining the illusion that the caster is capable of dancing through the opponent's magic effortlessly.
    Strengths:

    • Gives Eris a chance to dodge any single spell up to A-rank on every post
    • This spell's activation is completely invisible, possibly throwing the enemy into confusion when Eris easily dodges their attack

    Weaknesses:

    • Can only be used to evade a single attack of this spell’s rank per use and no more
    • Highly ineffective against chain or multi-hit spells, as only the first attack will be dodged
    • Does not differentiate between low-ranked and high-ranked spells, making it possible for this dodge to be wasted on a weak attack

    Description: A simple spell where Eris temporarily becomes one with the shadows. Her body completely disintegrates and then travels at nearly instant speed to another location that cannot be any further than 50 meters from where she was originally standing, reforming her body there. This can only be performed once per post.
    Strengths:

    • The transportation takes place instantly, meaning Eris can get out of tight spot with a simple thought of this spell

    Weaknesses:

    • Range of the teleportation cannot be extended by any means, even buffs from other, stronger mages
    • As Eris isn’t exactly teleporting, but rather traveling around as a shadow, it’s impossible for her to use this spell to move behind doors or walls

This is restricted to melee damage only and will not boost spell, not weapon damage in itself. The empowerment is also displayed by an aura of holy shadows that will then surround her weapons.
    Strengths:

    • Gives Eris little bit more melee force without the need to perform heavy attacks that impair one’s speed

    Weaknesses:

    • The aura does not deal any actual damage by itself and is completely dependant on the girl’s own melee force
    • Weapons and tools affected by the aura are still vulnerable as much as they were beforehand, meaning this enhancement does not have any defensive properties at all

    Name: Demon’s Blade

    Description: Demon’s shadow is constantly creeping up Eris’ blade, allowing the magic itself to be cast through it. This ability allows this shadow to go further, exist beyond the blade and extend it’s range. With each swing, a trail of shadows is send forward that extends the range or regular melee strikes up to 15 meters, as well as increasing the damage of said attacks by 25%.

    Description: Eris learned how to properly manipulate shadow and even give it a physical form. As she moves around, the shadow constantly envelops her body and stays beneath her feet. Thanks to this, she gained the ability to fluidly move around in any environment or conditions, allowing feats such as kicking off any and all surfaces, including even ever-changing ones. She can move with complete ease on land, air, water or anything else.

    Description: Slayers have naturally enhanced senses that allow them to be much more aware of their surroundings. However, even those can be overcome by skilled enough individuals. In fear of surprise attacks or acts of betrayal, Eris connected herself to the shadows of her own body. The shadow became her eyes and tells her what is going on around her, allowing the girl to see all around her even with closed eyes at all times. In other words, Eris will gain vision of 360 degrees around her body.

    Description: As Eris became one with her shadows and shadow found in the world, she gained multiple advantages. One of such being able to transform her body freely into a shadow-like state where she can easily move through physical objects with ease. However, she cannot use this ability to avoid being hit by enemy’s attack in any way, as she will be still harmed when her merged form gets attacked.

However, in such form it becomes impossible for her to actually engage in combat.

    Description: Shadow is something that person leaves on a physical object in their surroundings. However, Eris can leave her shadow in the three dimensional space and delay it slightly from her material body. This will cause a black and slighly transparent afterimage to repeat every move the girl makes. Using her magic, this shadow also becomes completely physical and capable of dealing damage. While it cannot repeat spells Eris casts, it will still hit the enemy for regular melee damage if close enough. These hits follow few seconds after Eris' and if the enemy is fast enough, they might still be able to dodge the second hit.
    Strengths:

    • Adds another layer of melee damage to the girl's attacks if she is close enough to the enemy for the shadow to hit

    Weaknesses:

    • The shadow always repeats what Eris does and cannot move on it's own
    • Deals only melee damage, despite Eris' own attacks possibly doing more than that


    Name: Septette, dance of blades

    Description: Creating a 60 meters wide bubble all around herself made of transparent shadow, Eris marks the territory for her dance. This is done nearly instantly and allows her to break her form into pieces within the bubble, capable of slashing at every inch of it in an instant. This will deal 50% of C-ranked damage to anyone who is caught in this attack. This also inflicts "black blood" DoT effect onto the enemy as Eris' shadows infect the enemy's blood, dealing 30% of C-ranked damage in each of the next 2 posts.
    Strengths:

    • Useful AoE attack that affects everyone close to Eris in all directions

    Weaknesses:

    • Eris can only create the bubble with herself in the center instead of creating it elsewhere more convenient
    • The shadow bubble serve no purpose aside from marking the range of this ability and thus even aiding the enemy, letting them know when they're safe

    Description: A rather simple attack that is meant to surprise the enemy. Eris can stab her weapon into the ground and send out a secret shadow below the surface which will travel up to 120 meters at the speed of 90 m/s. If this shadow can reach the enemy, it will form a blade that shoots out of the ground and impales anyone above for regular C-ranked damage.
    Strengths:

    • Out of nowhere attack that the enemy might not see coming

    Weaknesses:

    • A solid ground is required for the attack, making this spell unusable against airborne enemies
    • While stabbing the ground into the ground is supposed to confuse the enemy, it also makes Eris more vulnerable

The dash itself lasts for 200 meters maximum.
    Strengths:

    • Temporarily switching movement speed for spell speed, the mage uses their body as a catalyst for the spells and gainst the ability to move incredibely fast for temporary time
    • Has no cooldown outside of combat, allowing Eris to move around the land faster

    Weaknesses:

    • Once the dash is in progress, it's direction cannot be changed in any way
    • Due to the speed increase the attack provides, the actual slash is not as powerful as other B-ranked offensive spells
    • Summoning a shadow Torii gate out of nowhere is an obvious warning for the enemy


    Name: Cross Break Strike

    Description: A regular looking strike. However, the blade is infused with shadows and the moment the enemy is hit for regular B-ranked damage, a cross shaped cutting shadow is send forth around them that will damage anyone else who is caught in it for 75% of B-ranked damage (45) as well. Each side of the cross travels at the speed of 100 m/s for 150 meters.
    Strengths:

    • Despite being capable of damaging multiple enemies at once, the first strike deals full ranked damage
    • Very good at sending crowds of enemies into chaos due to the shape of the attack

    Weaknesses:

    • Due to the attack being cross-shaped, it's not as effective as regular AoE
    • Those caught in the shadow cross only received limited damage instead of the full blow
    • The initial strike is no different from any other vertial sword strike, thus requiring Eris to be attacking point blank
    • Which way the cross will face depends where Eris is standing when attacking, meaning she has to position herself properly if she wants to use this ability properly

    Strengths:

    • Despite being able to hit multiple enemies, all are still damage for full B-ranked damage

    Weaknesses:

    • Very small range for a spell of it's rank
    • The attack radius is a cone, meaning enemies can easily dodge behind the user

    Description: A fairly simple technique for it's rank, allowing Eris to gather the energy of shadows and light into her blade, condensing it and then releasing it all in a single burst. The result is a strike powerful enough to send out a shockwave that tears apart the earth and everything in it's wake. The shockwave travels up to 150 meters at the speed of 112 m/s and is only capable of hitting a single enemy. However, that enemy receives 50% of B-ranked damage and is stunned for a single post, as long as they are of equal or lower rank than this spell.
    Strengths:

    • Capable of stunning every target of B rank or lower
    • Not only does the spell stun enemies, it also deals damage

    Weaknesses:

    • Single target only
    • The spell can only travel in a straight line
    • Targets of higher rank will only receive small amount of damage

    A-rank:

    Name: Fox Demon's Spear
    Rank: A
    Type: Offensive

    Description: Jumping into the air, Eris will transform her body into pure shadow and launch herself at the enemy in a shape of giant black spear. In this form she can travel for 80 meters at the speed of 40 m/s which is then further boosted by her basic sprinting speed. If she hits an enemy before the maximal distance is reached, she will deal full A-ranked damage to them.
    Strengths:

    • Faster than regular A-ranked spells due to Eris' base sprinting speed also playing a factor
    • Despite the speed being enhanced, the damage dealt by this spell is not decreased at all, as risks presented can yield a good reward

    Weaknesses:

    • Because Eris uses her own body as a catalyst for this spell, she becomes much more vulnerable than when casting a regular ranged spell
    • Eris has to first jump into the air in order to execute this attack which can prove difficult in certain environments
    • As the attack is much more flashy than most attacks in this magic, the enemy can predict it much easier
    • Once in her shadow spear form, Eris can travel only limited distance before her spell falls apart without dealing any damage


    Name: Shadow String Trap
    Rank: A

    Description: A restricting spell that sends forth four different shadows. These place themselves in formation that creates a square around the targeted enemy, erecting four shadow pillars that will then shoot out countless black stings which will grab the enemy's body and hold it in place for one post. The square created by this spell can have any size up to 75 by 75 meters. Those of higher rank can break free of these, however, making this spell completely useless against anyone of S-rank and above.
    Strengths:

    • Once caught, the enemy has no way of defending against incoming attacks for a single post
    • Due to the spell's size, several enemies (or allies) can be affected at once

    Weaknesses:

    • Everyone inside of the marked territory will be affected by the spell, which can be problem for allies especially when using the spell at it's maximal size
    • As the enemy is caught only for a single post, Everyone has to carefully choose their plan of action and make their opening as effective as it can possibly be
    • Even enemies who are just a single rank above this spell's can easily tear the string apart and walk away instead of being trapped
    • The four pillars precisely mark the territory of the spell, giving the enemy a clear idea of where they have to get to if they wish to escape the spell's effect


    Name: Leviathan Strike
    Rank: A
    Type: Offensive

    Description: A powerful multi-staged attacks which starts with Eris stabbing her weapon to the ground and sending out a thin shadow. This shadow can travel up to 150 meters and at the speed of 75 m/s. Eris can then activate the shadow at any point before the maximal distance, instantly transforming it into a whirlpool of darkness on the ground which is also 150 meters in size. Any and all enemies caught in this area will be momentarily stunned as the girl prepares her blade and performs a horizontal cut that will slash everyone caugh and damage them for 50% of A-ranked damage. Once the damage is dealt, the stun is completely gone.
    Strengths:

    • AoE attack that does not depend on Eris' own location

    Weaknesses:

    • The stun within this spell only ensures that the enemy will not move once caught in the spell itself, thus not being as useful as one would think
    • The actual attack is connected to the vortex and only capable of hurting those caught within it. Even if there is a new enemy right in front of Eris but outside of the vortex when she performs the strike, they will not be injured

    S-rank:

    "The power of a Demon, manifest in a single spell... Shadow Drive!"

    A state of Drive, often seen as a lesser version of Force that can be activated at will. When summoned, darkness will constantly surround Eris as her entire body becomes stronger, her magical power running out of control and radiating out. This enhances her damage output by 50% for the entire duration.
    Strengths:

    • Fairly powerful boost to both speed and damage of all kinds

    Weaknesses:

    • Entering the shadow drive state will make Eris' magic go out of control, making everyone capable of sensing her nearly miles away even when she tries to hide her magical energy
    • The visual effect of darkness surrounding the girl while this spell is active will probably give the enemy a solid idea that something major might be going down


    Name: Heavenly Demon Revival

    "All life returns to the nature from whence it came!"

    A special attack that fully utilizes the holy aspect of the shadow demon-slaying magic. Eris accumulates her power into her weapon, creating a whirlwind of white and black merging together, and releases it into a single burst by slashing her weapon forth. This shoots out a ball of chaotic energy which can travel up to 400 meters at the speed of 100 m/s. Once this distance is covered or the ball of energy hits something solid, it's energy will be released to cause a massive explosion that will cover the ground of 200 meters and expand at the speed of 150 m/s from the epicenter. This surge of energy warps the space itself, causing all color to temporarily disappear from the affected area, leaving it in the shades of white and gray. All hit by it will receive 50% of S-ranked damage, as well as be left colorless for the next 7 posts. Aside from being aesthetic, this will both a curse and bless them at the same time. Their speed will increase by 25%, but they will also receive 25% more damage from all incoming attacks. Those of a rank higher than this spell can avoid these effects, but all will also receive 10% of S-ranked damage on each post for the entire duration of this spell after being hit by it.
    Strengths:

    • Allows causing AoE explosion from safe distance
    • Curses those who are hit, making them receive extra damage from all sources for the spell's duration
    • Those devoid of color will start to slowly fade away, receiving extra damage over the spell's duration. This can outright kill NPCs, unless they are plot-important

    Weaknesses:

    • Once the ball of magical energy is shot out, it can only travel in a straight line until it hits something
    • If not aimed properly or used too close to the enemy, Eris risks consuming an area she did not want to affect by this spell
    • Capable of hitting allies as much as enemies if they get too close to the explosion
    • Enemies affected will be partially blessed by the spells, their speed increased by a fairly large amount
    • As the spell removes color from a fairly large area, it becomes rather easy to confuse terrain and everything present for all parties


    Name: Nine Moons

    "The nine jaws of Fox Demon come to make the wicked pay!"

    Most attacks are focus on a single point exploiting a single weakness of those the attack is used against. However, the dance of Nine Moons is different. As a Kitsune of the highest standing, Eris can used her nine tails for more than just looking pretty and fluffy. Channeling her magic and shadows through them, she transforms these appendages into deadly weapons. Taking a low stance on all four where these tails are pointed straight in front of her, the user lunges with her own speed and targets a single enemy within 100 meter radius. Upper arm, collarbone, windpipe, temple, diaphragm, ribs, groin, thigh and shins. Each of her tails is set on one of these targets, all of them striking as one. In a single motion, the enemy is struck by the tails as Eris lands behind them, their body exposed to large quantity of pain as they receive 50% of S-ranked damage and become completely paralyzed for a single post. Those of H rank or above are capable of withstanding this attack and only becoming slowed down by 50% after the strike itself.
    Strengths:

    • Can paralyze all but the strongest of foes
    • Even if the Paralyzation does not take place, the enemy is at least slowed down

    Weaknesses:

    • Uses regular movement speed rather than spell speed
    • Because of having several effects and focusing mainly on paralyzing the enemy, the damage of this spell is limited
    • Uses burst-type range rather than single target

    H-rank:

    Name: Golden Fox Demon, Noheme
    Rank: H
    Type: Offensive, Debuff, Form

    "Allow me to show you a level of sorcery that exceeds mere magic!"

    Slayer magic has always been taught by those that it is meant to slay. And strangely enough, using it brings the user closer to these beings than they could have ever imagined. Eris always had a special connection to kitsunes, as her physical body was born one. Now, with the magic that was taught by a nine-tailed fox demon, the girl can achieve the final bit of her powers. Once activated, her hair, as well as her tails will start glowing gold, almost shining in the dark. The same happens to all shadows she controls as well, the black slowly fading away as a beautiful gold replaces it. Though this slight appearance adjustment is only aesthetical, it is said that the nine-tailed kitsune's beauty can capture anyone's heart, as NPCs of lower rank might completely lose their will to fight when gazing at the girl. The true power of this spell comes after these initial changes, however.

    In the radius of 300 meters all around Eris, a special barrier will be placed. One that is completely invisible to all and causes those inside of it to see the world around them as if it was engulfed in the night. Even if used during the day, those inside the barrier will see night's sky with many shining stars and a giant crimson red moon above them that bears the symbol of a nine-tailed fox. Everyone exposed to the shine from the moon will have their overall damage and speed reduced by 50% for as long as they remain inside of the night world where the girl, now called Noheme, shines as the brightest star. In addition to this, Noheme will also gain access to a special golden shadow that surrounds her body like a snake. Its reach is 100 meters and can hit each enemy who gets close enough once per post to deal 50% of H-ranked damage. This can be used up to 5 times before the enemy becomes immune to the new shadow.

    Strengths:

    • Provides great debuff for every single being inside of the barrier that is calculated from their final stats after all the buffs have been applied
    • Gives Noheme additional means of dealing small bursts of damage if the enemy gets close to her
    • The barrier moves along with Noheme, as she is it's center and always remains seemingly directly beneath the crimson moon

    Weaknesses:

    • The barrier itself has no physical matter, allowing anyone to walk out if they're capable of doing so
    • Affects allies as well as enemies, for as long as they are exposed to the shine from the crimson moon
    • Instead of DoT which would be provided by most spells like this, Noheme gains a special shadow that can deal limited amount of damage
    • Initial activation deals no damage to the enemies whatsoever
    • In a world that is seemingly clad in the night, Noheme is shining like a golden star. This makes her position always extremely apparent to anyone nearby
    • Unlike regular spells, this one can be used only once in every thread
