    Job Title:

    Demon's Call

    Rank:

    B Rank

    Player Requirements:

2x C Rank or the equivalent (minimum)
    Maximum 4 Mages

    Job Requirements:

    7,500 Words Minimum
    10x Rolls Minimum

    Job Location:

    Hargeon Town

    Job Description:

Located deep within the bowels of Hargeon, buried under time itself a door has recently been unearthed due to the chaos caused by the tentacle monster's attack on the port town of Hargeon... Behind this door is an entire world where crystals make up the bulk of the light sources, with the other source being lanterns, candles, braziers, and other forms of fire. Inside this world lives a strange form of being, clad in black with razor sharp teeth and terrible grins to show them off. These creatures have indoctrinated several humans, those too foolish to have left the door alone, and caused them to steal something precious from one of the more wealthy citizens of Hargeon who was lucky enough to be outside the disaster zone when the tentacles came crashing down.

The one who had his item stolen has asked that any mage who desires fair pay for exploration, and possibly bloodshed galore delve into the depths of whatever hell lay beyond the door. Entering this door, you will have no prior knowledge of what lays inside unless you have an ability that would permit such a thing. The world you find, as described above, is filled with glowing crystals, glowing plants, and dark figures that dart in and out of your line of sight so quickly you can't track it... Nearby you see a stream of glowing water, along with several other streams equidistant from each other, all flowing in the same direction. If you follow the streams, you'll notice eventually that they all seem to be converging since they're all moving towards each other, but all still equidistant from each other... Eventually you come to a large stream that's shallow but wide where all the smaller ones converge leading into a cave system. This is where you'll begin encountering enemies as you're attacked from behind and every other directer, even below as you go deeper and deeper into the caves...

Those who can sense demons will notice that these creatures are in fact demons. If for some reason a Demon Slayer can't sense these are demons, they'll notice that the demons are taken down much easier by them than any ally they have with them... The demons here take double damage from Holy/Purifying magic, as well as Holy Heal spells. Light magic does not have this effect unless it is Holy/Purifying light magic. ((These enemies do not have HP gauges. It is up to the RP'r to come up with a sensible fight for each enemy. Any references to blocking does not require the use of a block dice, it simply means the RP'r is being told that the creature will block some attacks. If you roll a boss it is counted as 2x Strong. The boss will automatically spawn at any point you want after you roll 10 dice.))

    Enemies:

    Weak: Demon

A very large creature, standing 30 feet with 10 foot wide shoulders. Its arms are as thick as tree trunks, and its claws are a foot long. It doesn't seem particularly intelligent, but it does known how to swing its arms with a high degree of accuracy. It has moderate (20mph) speed, and isn't too keen on blocking attacks. Countering all its negatives, this guy is extremely durable...

    Normal: Demon

This one's only fifteen feet tall with four foot wide shoulders. They're faster than the other one, better at fighting too. This type dodges your attacks and blocks, unlike the larger version, and will even display a degree of unholy/corruption magic that's non-elemental. This magic can be consumed by God Slayers (all types). This creature is twice as fast as the larger version, and has just a bit more durability than it does. This creature will use its claws, and a strange type of jagged bladed weapon...

    Strong: Demon

This one is a bit smaller at 10 feet tall... It won't attack you initially, and while fighting it none of the others will attack you. You'll be constantly hearing whispers in your head, hundreds upon thousands of them all trying to pull you into insanity... While fighting, this creature has more speed than the "Normal" demon (60mph) and twice the durability. It can use a variety of magic, but nothing too advanced. The weapons this one uses are its claws and a sharp sword that it seems to be adept at using...

    ~~End of the Line~~

Entering a massive chamber, the sound of drums can be heard... lining the walls are hundreds of demons of varying sizes... Many of them are small, impish looking things with sticks in their hands that are being used to slam the drums. Others are a mix of the ones previously fought... and in the middle of this chamber is a six foot tall demon. On the opposite of the chamber is a pedestal with the stolen item.

This one is shaped exactly like a human, and seems to be wearing some sort of oriental styled combat robes. It wields a weapon made of pure unholy energy but for some reason even God Slayers can't consume it. This one can speak directly into your mind, and just like fighting the 10 foot demons, it sounds like hundreds of thousands of people whispering to you. Unlike the other type, this one can hold full blown conversations and will offer you a single opportunity to turn back and leave without the item, even let you know you can take some of the water from the stream as a token from the land and tell you what it does. It appears to be civil enough to grant you this... it won't tell you what the item is, or why he wants it unfortunately. If you take the water and leave you will gain no EXP, but you will gain the vial of Living Water. If you choose to stay, the demon will attack.

    Boss: Demon
A stated, it's 6 feet tall and looks like a human. Aside from the aforementioned sword, it also has two inch long claws that are every bit as sharp as any sword a master swordsman can make and be proud of... It uses very high level magic with a massive variety of effects from damage to crowd control to healing. It has the ability to increase its speed to move so fast that it seems to be teleporting, and is even able to unfold a pair of leathery wings and fly. Once defeated the other demons will vanish, but you will have a gut feeling that he's far from being dead..

    Reward:
    Normal B Rank EXP

The first time you complete this job you will be given two things:
1 - A set of Strong Rank armour.
2 - If you took some of the water from the glowing stream, you will have a vial of Living Water. Each time you complete the job (once a month max) afterwards, you will be awarded with the vial of Living Water only. This item has a 1 use only effect; meaning that you have 1 use per vial period. Once used, that vial is gone and you do not start the next thread with it. You can take some of the water even if you decide to fight the boss... just scoop some in a glass on your way out.

    Effect:
When someone dies, you may use the Living Water to resurrect that person with 50% HP and 50% MP. All of their spells will be on a 2 post cooldown, any spell that was already on cooldown will have its cooldown increased by 2 posts. All passive effects will be 100% inactive for 2 posts. If you are the one who dies, someone else must use the item on you.

Lestat * Grim Heresy * Lord of Night

Standing at the edge of the small vessel, Lestat peared over to his destination. The curly black strands of his hair blowing gently in the wind, as he currently walked in his pre cursed appearance. "Hargeon town... So this is the devastation I was told about." Lestat said to himself silently. This was his first visit to the town in over a century, and he could not believe his eyes. The town was without question, overcome with grief. There was a great deal of casualties, their blood still in the atmosphere, able to be smelled by Lestat, as he approached from sea. Yet, there still remained a darkness lingering above the town. Lestat could sense it, and it caused his non existent blood to boil with excitement. He knew this was going to be a job filled with lots of blood shed. He received the information about the job from the Augurs, via his Guild Pact, on his neck. The information came in only twelve hours prior to this moment.

Lestat was curious about some of the details, being told to partner with some one from a different guild. This was a peculiar set of instructions to the mage, as he never found the need to help others outside of his own guild. They were blabbering on about diplomacy and alliance, but Lestat was unconcerned. However, he does recognize the authority placed in them by Eris, and respects it as so. The ship started to slowly make its way into the dock. Or rather what was remaining, as the pier was half destroyed. The creature must have really put a number on the town. Supposedly they have already began repairing the town, yet it still looked so defeated. The ship was anchored after being pulled, and tied to the port. Lestat left without saying a word to anyone aboard. No, the mage focused his eyes on the town, and remained concerned about his new partner. The only details about her he had, was that she was a teenage female from Savage Skull. Not much use, as if some one walked around, with a bright purple skull on a sign for him. Regardless, he still had to find her. He departed the port, and began to walk around the town.

He figured the best bet, would be to wait for his job partner, near the man whom was to give the remaining details about the job. A rather wealthy citizen apparently, the thought of which causes Lestat's mouth to water. The more wealth a person had, the more delicious and corrupt their blood was. He knew he could not harm the man however, not at least until they were paid in full. He was not one to ruin a chance to increase his own pocket, as well as gain notoriety within the guild. Soon the blood mage came upon a large black gate, surrounding a rather large white home. This was the residence of the owner. No on was near the gate, so he assumed his partner had not yet arrived either.
"Better wait for the little one, I suppose." Lestat said as he transformed simultaneously into his true form, his eyes glowing a bright red, as he moved into the shade under a large walnut tree.

    Appearance:

Today was not one of those days in which Madison had been herself, in any way shape or form. As of lately, she had come under a lot of disdain of everything around her that wasn't herself... and other days where it even included herself. The need to hide herself whenever she left in order to preserve the idea that she'd truly been dead wasn't something that bothered her at first, but it was more of something she feared being found out despite the flawless design of the disguise and all. Now even to use that seemed to be very aggravating to her. If it were up to her, she'd have killed Sol and ended her whole ordeal with no problems. However, that just wasn't who she was and the mentality and morals she was raised on and the ones she'd prided herself on holding onto despite the "guild" she was supposed to be a part of. A place that at first treated her towards being nothing more than an object to be used by them for power. Even the sole purpose she joined had come to be absent now and the idea that she had no other ties to her guild now but her sister just didn't feel like enough. Maybe she was overdoing the idea, however it was more of her distancing herself from anything now.

Her right hand slid out from under her little hooded cape to grab a light hold of the bracelet that was latched onto her left wrist. What with her mother now gone, all care and hope seemed to fade from Madison's body. Honestly, she'd thought even now with Pharoh's Call gone, that Aiyana had vanished and she'd be left alone; back to square one. It was depressing to say the least, but in a town where people were either happy, busy, or depressed for one reason or another, it wasn't very hard to stay both in the shadows and out of the way, as well as it was to stay in such a gloomy state. The hood to this cape had covered up her head and most of her face, while the rest laid over her upper body lightly much like a very light coat. Underneath was a white long-sleeved button down shirt with red colored buttons. The shit laid tucked into the lightly frilled skirt she wore that overall would make her look like Red Riding Hood in a sense. It wasn't the purpose of the look she was going for, but it wasn't something she wasn't going to stand at a mirror and change her appearance until it suited her.

So far, nothing seemed to poke out at her or approach her about the job at hand she was here for. Really, she wasn't sure why she'd gone through with going on a mission of this sorts, however at this point it wasn't even a care she had on it. She needed to relieve some tension and something non-human seemed to be something that Madison would think the lord could forgive, if not reward her with the riddance of some of them. Perhaps that's why she'd been here today and not skipped out on it like her previous ones. A task of sorts? A path to redemption perhaps? Madison knew the lord worked in mysterious ways, but they had a funny way of showing themselves how to do so. As she approached the house, she found a single person rested against a tree. Something ominous about that man had her a little skeptical to approach him, however the blood slayer didn't honestly care at this point. Pulling her hood down, her whole head would be easy to pick out from a crowd as the light above shun in her hair and off her skin. "Are you waiting for anyone, mister?" She asked politely, out of mental habit and the little bit of pure innocence she seemed to have in her mind, truly surprising to her.

Lestat * Grim Heresy * Lord of Night

Peering between the branches of the tree, Lestat watched as the clouds floated idly by. Ranging from different shapes, sizes, and depths. The young blood mage grew bored of the task, and looked forward to see a few passing children. The mage's expression changed as he looked forward with optimism, only to be let down, as the group passed by. Truth be told, Lestat knew the girl he was awaiting, would be walking alone. Regardless, the ancient mage was ready to begin his job, and end it. He was unsure how much help a small child would be, yet simply understood it as he would get to do most of the killing. After fantasizing about slaughtering numerous fiends, Lestat began to hear approaching foot steps. His ears twitched slightly as he realized these foot steps, were much lighter than that of a full grown man. They belonged to a small boy, or medium sized girl. Sure enough, Lestat witnessed a girl come into the opening, and head in his direction. Lestat refused to show any sign of acknowledging her now. Having the last few groups proved a failure, he waited to see if she too would pass the house.

The teen girl wore a cloak, covering the top of her head. To his surprise, she did not continue pass the house, or even move towards it. Instead the child approached Lestat, in his towering menacing form.
"ohh.." The mage said under his breath, as she came closer to him. He smile slyly, as she too now was under the tree, and within his striking range."Are you waiting for anyone, mister?" She asked of Lestat in a calm and polite voice. He knew she had to be the mage from Savage Skull, to speak to him so casually. "Aye..." He responded to the girl in a low tone. He continued to gaze upon her, his eyes scanning her intently. "I am Lestat, of Grim Heresy." The mage said proudly, as he stood up from his cross legged position. "And who might you be?" Lestat asked of the girl, that was now dwarfed next to the man. He waited a moment for her response, before deciding to make his way over to the gate entrance. There was a speaker, with a button. Lestat pressed the button, and within moments a voice spoke over the speaker. It was the security of the estate, who was coming to greet the two mages. It seems the job client, did not like to leave his home. Regardless, this didn't bother Lestat any. Especially when he could see the security approaching now, on a medium sized lacrima powered cart. It could hold four with no problem, and was only coming to get the two of them. Lestat smiled curiously as the magic cart arrived. He was still adapting to the new way of life, in this century. Having only just left his three hundred year slumber. Lestat eagerly welcomed the security, who seemed just as eager to see them. "Hi! I'm Todd..."  The security began, as he opened the door to the front gate. Lestat bolted pass the man, and went directly towards the cart. His eyes were massive, and his mouth opened with excitement. Lestat was more interested in the transportation to the client, than any details the security could give about the client. He left the remaining information gathering to his new partner. Lestat may have far more years under his belt then she does. Yet he has yet to experience a lot of basic features of this century.

Post by Sanguine 17th June 2017, 10:59 am

The closer that Madison had gotten to the stranger under the tree, she had gotten to see just how tall the figure underneath it had been. The scent of blood had gotten rather strong around this man, but since she couldn't PHYSICALLY see that he was covered in blood or had even the faintest of blood droplets on his clothing, the blood slayer could only sum it up to be that he had something to do relating to blood. If not magic, than maybe a weapon, or even a day job as a person whom drew blood for a living. There could be a significant number of reasons from which Madi could smell blood from this man, but she wasn't going to assume he was just some genocidal freak of nature... Especially with the size and stature he held over the smaller girl. It did seem to take him a minute to even notice she was there, possibly falling asleep in an upright position like a vampire- or maybe an upside down bat. Either way, the idea was amusing to say the least.

Once he finally noticed that she was a little more than a passerby, Madison was greeted by him in a very careless way. At least to her anyway, but she was more mannerly than she could appear to be at most times. "Grim Hershey.. huh? Sounds like a candy factory that makes delicious dark chocolate as a specialty, ahaha!" She laughed a little, not realizing she misheard him state the guild or company he represented. "I'm Madison Richter from Savage Skull. It's a pleasure to meet you, sir." She introduced, giving a curtsy to him, pinching of the skirt, full bow; the whole nine of a proper greeting. She of all people was the last people would expect to come from, much less belong to that of a dark guild, but her reasons were her own and she wasn't going to let anyone deter her or brand her on first contact.

Much like Lestat, Madison remained quiet as they headed into the gateway to meet the security person whom would be leading the pair into the manor to meet their client. With only a wave and smile, she sat beside Lestat, her hands rested on her lap as she kept her skirt from moving from there. She listened as the security guard gave her some of the information that he knew while they rode in to the place. Whether Lestat listened at all didn't matter to her, as she could just recall all information whenever he wanted her to. It was one of the better times that she have perfect memory and recall. Once inside, the oozing essence of demonic presence was overwhelming, thick even. She felt rather uneasy now as they entered and though the security guarded headed towards the client, Madison seemed to trail off towards where the feeling was taking her. It felt.. tight and dense. The closer she had gotten to this doorway. "H-Hey.. I-Is this door over here the one we use? Because i'm good to go into it if you are, Mr. Lestat." She pointed toward a door, waiting on the reply of her partner before doing anything else.

Lestat * Grim Heresy * Lord of Night

The security guard looked over confused and a bit bewildered at Lestat, whom by passed him. Leaving him to speak with a child, yet he did so anyway. Lestat was rejoined after a few moments by the other two, as they climbed aboard the cart. Lestat did so as well, and they trio was off to their destination. The client spoke about the details of the job, though Lestat remained keenly interested in the moving vehicle. Observing everything he could about it, enjoying the wind it provided on the warm day. Every now and again, Lestat would catch pieces of the discussion being had, though all of the talking seemed to be from the guard. As it turns out, they would not be meeting the client. The guard mentioned there was no need for it, though the job details specifically mentioned a meeting. No doubt he decided against this, after hearing two dark guilds accepted the job. The blood mage simply laughed as he sat next to his job mate in the back of the vehicle, looking towards the scenery. Before long they arrived at their destination and climbed out of the magical cart. There was a large stone building, that emanated a dark presence. The demonic magic the seemed to envelope the building, seemed to cause the guard to sweat profusely, as his nerves began to build. "So...Uhh, Yeah. This is the place, Good luck." The guard said, as he quickly put the cart in reverse and sped off to Lestat's surprise. "Damn, I was going to take that." Lestat said out loud, though to himself. His dissapointed gaze, watched the vehicle till it could not be seen anymore. "Ahh... O well!" The mage said, jumping back to his usual self.

The pair entered the building, and followed the deep presence that seemed to be guiding them. His young companion pointed out a door to him, and asked if it was the correct path. He nodded in agreement to her, with a slight smile. His excitement beginning to build in its usual vicious nature. He knew the job was going to be one filled with battle, and it was about to commence. Lestat opened the door, and went in first. The door lead to a new world, that was dark, yet filled with glowing crystals. The crystals provided just enough light for the pair to see their way about. Dipping in and out of the shadows were some form of demonic creatures. Their eyes peered in the darkness at the two. Their razor sharp teeth smiling evilly at them, though Lestat returned the smile back at them.
"Hahaha, why remain in the shadows cowards?" Lestat said tauntingly towards the unknown villains in the darkness. Truthfully he cared not if they chose to remain away or attack, it was no different that living in Necropolis, his current home.

Just as he began to gain a little distance between him and Madison, three large demonic creatures appeared from the shadows. Stepping forward in the light, from different locations. Two appeared right next to Lestat, only four and seven meters away. The other seemed much closer to his partner.
"Well, well, well. We do have some brave soldiers after all?" Lestat said chuckling, though his expression seemed a bit more serious. The closest demon, standing fifteen feet tall, and massive limbs  made a quick swipe to Lestat, who dodged it. The demon was quick, though, the blood mage still had more speed. Lestat simply moved out of the way, side stepping the swipe. The demon angrily continued to attempt to swipe the mage half his size, who remained in front of him the whole time.

As he continued to dodged, he also moved backwards a few feet at a time, pretending to have forgotten the other demon, though he remained aware of it the entire time. While smiling at the demon, Lestat held his right hand forward slightly, and caused a small red sphere of red essence magic to form. After moving roughly three meters backwards, Lestat could sense it. Now. The mage instantly turned into a bunch of bats, and teleported away. Just in time, as the other demon made an attempt to attack him from behind, and almost collided with the other. Lestat teleported only fifteen meters away, and quickly launched the sphere he was still holding from before. The sphere speed toward the back of the other demon, spinning the entire time to increase its momentum. Upon smashing into the demon's back. An explosion took place upon the two of them. The blast was powerful enough to rip them to shred, being at the epicenter of the blast. Their blood, bones and guts were splattered randomly about, as Lestat chuckled out loud. He looked over towards his team mate, curious to see how her situation turned out.

Demon's Call Empty Re: Demon's Call

The entirety of the conversation that Madison had with the security guard from which the mission had originated from was a little different than she anticipated. He had a lot more information that she had assumed a guard would know, but she could easily sum it up to him taking precaution for his boss due to the dark mages that now inhabited his grounds. if they were any different people, she'd probably have killed or had her way with this guard- well maybe both... but that's all variant on the type of actual villain she could have been in a different lifetime. Brushing that aside, Madison thanked him for the information that he shared, not mentioning anything about the owner while her partner had remained silent and never caring. With a smile and a wave, Madi seen him off while it seemed that Lestat was a little preoccupied with something else. It was like the taller male had never seen a moving vehicle before, and while tempting to want to ride, she was more mission focused than anything else right now and it would stay as that until she saw fit.

His confirmation of her question about the door led him to take over the leadership of pushing along in the mission. Not that there was a worry in her doing so right now, since he was probably more well endowed with his abilities than she was. As she waited for him to approach and enter with herself in tow, she wondered about his guild he'd mentioned earlier; Grim Hershey... Firstly, it was an odd name to begin with just due to the relation to chocolate that she had thought of, but more off that he didn't really care of her relation of guilds. That on her part was an ease to her, since she didn't know of any public or not-so-public relations with guilds that she may or may not have had in Savage Skull. Still, the demi dragon was not so much a person to care for who her guild fraternized with, since she wasn't tied to the guild but for Frey anymore. And even then, with her mother gone... It was just hard for her to cope some days compared to the rest.

Madison remained oblivious to everything around her at first once they were inside, as if nothing from around here had even been new to her. Despite her never being to anything like this ever, the teen remained lost in her thoughts until she heard Lestat yelling out something. It snapped her mind back to the present moment as a spark of red lights flashed out of her sight. Her body jumped to face the direction she had seen the sight when two demonic things had ushered forward from in front of Lestat. At first, she calmed herself to that her mission partner was more enthralled to fight compared to her. As a child of religion, the sight of demonic beings none the less made her take her left hand and touch her forehead, down to her gut, then to either shoulder and back to her heart. Seeing actual was something she'd thought were only in hell, but with all of the things she had been through and seen, maybe this was gods idea of showing her the end result of the path she was taking? It was a thought, but nothing that she had come to know was fact or just mere coincidence.

The sound of a footstep made Madi turn around to a larger demon looming over her. With widening eyes, she jumped up slightly and with her foot, pushed out and kicked off of the demon out of an old habit from her old magic, gaining little distance between the two before it tried to swipe with large claw like hands. Something paused in Madison's readiness to attack the demon before her. "Blood?" She whispered, looking behind her. There she saw the ball of red in Lestat's hand and watched him throw it at the pair of demons in front of him. Once contact was made, the attack spread out towards her and the demon near her. She began to inhale the spreading explosion as the scent of the blood grew and all coming towards her began food in her gullet. The demon near her had still been hit with what was left of the ability he used. A scythe the length of Madison's body formed into her left hand, and with one fell swing, she took what was left of the demons life and watched as she'd decapitated it with no mercy. The dark body slumped to the floor and its head rolled along to stop at Lestat's feet while Madison gave not a second look to her actions. Instead, the giggling teen walked forward and patted Lestat on the back. "Thanks for the meal, bud! I haven't had any in so long, it was refreshing to say the least!" She said, standing beside him now and looking around to see his work had left his enemies sprawled out along the walls and ground in pieces and bits.

Demon's Call Empty Re: Demon's Call

Post by Lestat 26th June 2017, 6:09 pm

Lestat * Grim Heresy * Lord of Night

The long silver haired mage watched as his companion absorbed some of the magic from his previous blast. "Ohh?" Lestat allowed to exit his lips, as he looked curiously toward her. The young mage from Savage Skull engaged the demon without worry, and quickly dispatched the beast. Lestat turned forward to face the direction the two were headed, as she slowly walked up from behind him. He felt a small hand on his lower back, as he turned around and peered down upon the little one. She thanked him for her free meal, in which Lestat snickered in response. "Gotta feed the kids, they say." Lestat said in a low tone, as he continued to look forward with a piercing stare. The blood mage moved several paces ahead of his companion. He could sense the demons scattering about, even more active now after the previous spells. Lestat could feel the presence of one in particular, that seemed to dwarf the rest of the demons nearby, darting in the shadows. While trying to lock down on the source of this power, two demons instantly bolted out from within the shadows, both targeting Lestat.

Quickly, and narrowly Lestat was able to avoid the demons, and was even able to counter one. After side stepping both sharp claws from the beasts, Lestat was able to deliver a a powerful kick to one of the demon's knees. The demon roared in a sharp amount of pain, as another demon the same size jumped into the frey as well.
"Tch.." Lestat muttered, as he teleported fifteen meters away from the three demons. Upon appearing in his destination, Lestat wasted no time. He sent forth a powerful sphere, filled with blood essence magic. The sphere sped towards its target, cutting swiftly through the air. The two demons, next to the crippled demon, attempted to escape quickly before the collision. Though they were able to escape the initial blast at the epicenter. After colliding with the other demon, a massive blast reaching up to thirty meters around him, enveloped the other two. The screamed in pain, as the searing hot tar like blood began burning them alive. The two demons managed to survive the blast, though they were gravely injured. Truthfully, Lestat did not need to finish them off, and they would succumb to their injuries eventually. However that was not Lestat. He was never one to show mercy to his enemies, or his prey rather. He believed throughly in putting some one out of their misery. Then he could feel it, that same presence as before. Stronger, and more dangerous than all other enemies, the two mages have fought against so far here.

Lestat looked forward into the darkness, seemingly staring at nothing. Then it happened, a large foot stepped from the shadows, and entered the battle. Lestat looked into the deep red eyes of the demon, who seemed completely unbothered by their destruction and invasion of their home. As Lestat looked into the demon's eyes, he could instantly begin hearing hundreds of voices, all at once. It was countless men, women, and children, all crying out to him. Pleading for him to remain in this demonic world, and to submit to their rule. Lestat took his eyes off the demon, and shook his head, attempting to rid himself of the voices. The demonic beast took advantage of the opportunity, and bolted over to Lestat in an instant. The blood mage, looked up as a large claw came swiping him. He stepped back, avoiding a deadly blow, though his chest ripped open.
"Gyaaah!" Lestat yelled out in pain. Before the mage could land on his feet, regaining his stability from the attack. The demon attacked again, this time wrapping his massive hands around Lestat's neck. Lestat placed his hands around the thick forearms of the beast, who was now pushing onto the mage's neck. Forcing him off his feet and flying backwards, as the demon sprinted with Lestat held by the neck. Lestat's mind was racing from the pain, and he was no longer worried about the voices.

With his hands still placed over the forearm of the demon, Lestat caused the blood inside the demon's arm to begin to circulate at incredible speeds, causing it to boil. The demon's forearm erupted from the spell, causing Lestat to fall, after being released from his clutches. Grabbing the missing section of his forearm, the demon let out a massive bellowing yell. Lestat quickly got back onto his feet, and turned to face the demon who looked furious with him.
"Tough luck bastard." Lestat said, as he looked down, and could feel the still painful sensation from his wound. The angry demon grew more aggressive, and began walking in Lestat's direction. The mage was already preparing for the demon, pissed he caught him off guard the way he did. Lestat's palm created another red sphere, filled with blood essence. Before the demon could even realize the mage was casting a spell, Lestat released three black and red bats from the sphere. They bats instantly flew swiftly towards their target, all from different directions. The demon seemed too occupied looking at Lestat, and unaware of the three bats coming towards him from the sides.

    "ARRRRGGHH!!!"
The demon let out a massive roar in Lestat's direction, before attempting to sprint to him and attack. After the first few steps, the bats all began colliding into him, one after another. The demon was in agony as the last and final bat smashed into his ribs. A grave gash was formed over his smashed ribs. The demon was slowed his steps as he continued to make his way to Lestat, filled with determination. The silver strands of Lestat blowing softly in the wind, as he began walking towards the weakened demon as well. The mage from Grim Heresy strengthened his entire palm, causing his fingers to become straight like a blade. Stabbing his entire palm into the demon's stomach, Lestat sliced into the guts of the demon, and grabbed hold of its intestines. With one strong rip, Lestat removed then entire small intestines of the Demon. The demon fell over, its eyes slowly closing from the crippling pain. Within seconds the beast was laying on the ground, face down. Lestat took a deep breath, as he looked over at his companion. He knew there were more demons waiting to jump out and strike at any moment, and he was unsure of what she had been doing during the entire altercation, he just had.
