Magic

Primary Magic: Shadow Magic
Secondary Magic: n/a
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: The Shadow Fix King Magic is a unique magic that is improved from the Fox leaps from Mountain Martial Art style of the Yamigitsune clan. The Creator of the Shadow Fox King Magic is Kuro Yamigitsune. It is a tough and grueling trial to get this magic.

The practitioner channel shadow chi over his limbs and strikes at his enemy as snarling Shadow Fox Heads appears around the lim be it an arm or leg and when you strike it bites at their acupoints weakening the mana flow and rendering them unable to cast. In a defensive form the shadow chi covers the whole body protecting the users acupoints from being broken leaving him protected from all forms of attack except for piercing ones.
Strengths:

• Powerful offensive melee
• Great at close-quarters combat
• Has some defensive qualities

Weaknesses:

Relies on a secondary magic pool known as Shadow Chi

Defense is weak to piercing type damage and effects

The Shadow Chi is limited to a certain level

If someone has sealing magic, they can seal Meridians

Lineage:
Spoiler:

Backed by Prophecy
Description: A long time ago, someone consulted an ancient Oracle, who was said to have never failed in his prophecies before. After the exchange of many gifts, the passing of many favours and a good deal of ka-ching in the mix, the Oracle gave him a prophecy: that the forty-second generation mage of that someone's bloodline would become a true hero, worthy of ballads and plays, loved by both the sky, the ocean and the earth, the gods and the people, that would wipe out any enemy or overcome all hurdles to achieve transcendence on par with the heavens. And you know what, that forty-second generation mage is you! Yes, throughout your entire childhood, this prophecy has been relayed to you over and over again and it has instilled within you a rare and powerful confidence or expectation, depending on how you took it. Of course, no one ever told you that the same prophecy has been passed down to sixty other long-distance descendants in the same generation as you, but you won't supposed to know that now, won't you?
Ability: The confidence that your journey is backed by omnipotent gods has never been more self-assured and indomitable. Whenever you make an attack, sometimes this confidence can really get to your head, pushing you to pour in everything you got in that attack, safe in the knowledge that the gods, who will surely be backing a Main Character like you, will make it strike true. Or will they? If you fail to hit, your resolve falters by a lot, you stumble(for close-combat) or freeze(for ranged) and in the shock of your failure, you are vulnerable to a single attack. But don't worry, you will get over it.
A single attack or magic will be given double the damage of its original as well as having a 50% increase in speed(projectile or melee) but it will not overcome a spell of a higher rank no matter what. The amount of magical energy used, if the attack is a spell, would be doubled. If an opponent blocks successfully, he gets one free hit in of any of his spells(if multi-projectile, only one projectile) and the user gets hit for double damage due to the shock weakening his defense. Note: Charge-up spells will not be viable for the free hit by the opponent.
Usage: Instant/single use for 1 spell or attack with a 6 post cooldown before this effect can be done again. 10 posts if failed to hit.
Unique Abilities:
Spoiler:

Name: Shadow Chi
Description: Whenever you cast a Shadow Spell, you gain one Shadow Chi per spell rank; D-rank spells give one, C-rank spells give two, B-rank spells give three, and further on. This Shadow Chi caps at a maximum of 50, and can be used in lieu with mana when casting a shadow spell. Doing so provides a +25% bonus to spell strength, with an extra +5% per user rank beyond D.

Name: Shadow Strike
Description: Whenever Shadow Fox King Chi Armor is active, the spellcaster's unarmed strikes are infused with the shadows, dealing extra damage on melee attacks equal to 3% per Shadow Ki, to a maximum of +100% melee damage (or effectively 2x damage).

Name: Shadow Fox King's Third-Eye
Description: This ability awakens once you have 25% of one's Shadow Chi Pool. amplifying the properties of the Shadow Chi and the Spellcaster's own inherit attributes; increasing Shadow Chi's spell strength bonus by an extra 10% and increasing your strength by 20%, with an added +10% per level. Additionally, you can see any effects of your rank or below.
Spells:

Name: Shadow Fox King's Fist
Rank: D
Type: Buff/Shadow
Duration: 3 Post
Cooldown: 4
Description: This spell is cast by the practicitioner manifesting shadow chi from his body to his fists and coating them with the shadows to form snarling fox heads on them. When striking an opponent they are stunned for a single post and lose 2% mana while you gain 3% mana in regeneration.
Strengths:

• Offensive Buff for the Spellcaster
• Ability to stun an opponent struck
• Discrupts mana and provides a short mana regen

Weaknesses:

• No long-range capabilities
• Requires 10% of current Shadow Chi Pool
• If the Meridians are sealed, this spell is broken
• Light magic repels this spell's effect.

Name: Shadow Fox King's Chi Armor
Rank: D
Type: Defensive/Shadow
Duration: 2
Cooldown: 3
Description: The practitioner is covered in living shadow chi, making a cloak of shadow around them which absorbs shadow chi from shadow spells by 25% of the mana used to cast said spells, and provides a passive 20% damage reduction. This armor has a structural health of 50 HP befoe it is dissipated.
Strengths:

• Great defensive qualities
• Protects one's meridian pressure points
• Gains shadow chi when targeted with shadow spells

Weaknesses:

• It's weak against piercing and light attacks
• If the Meridians are sealed the spell dissipates
• Requires 10% of current Shadow Chi Pool
• If concentration is broken, the spell dissipates

Name: Shadow Fox's Fury
Rank: D
Type: Buff/Support
Duration: 3 Posts

Description: When the practitioner releases Shadow Chi, the muscles expand and grow, turning them into a hulking form. The fox mask on his face melds into him, likening his appearance to a shadowy kitsune during the spell's duration. This increases all damage by 25% for the duration of the spell.
Strengths:

• The practitioner becomes a hulking shadow kitsune
• Increases all damage for the duration

Weaknesses:

• If one's meridians are sealed, the practitioner returns to normal with 1/2 of Shadow chi
• Weak against piercing and light attacks
• Requires 10% of current Shadow Chi Pool

Name: Shadow Fox King's Claws
Rank: D
Type: Offensive/Shadow
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 2 Posts
Description: The practitioner grows claws on his fingers made of hardened shadow chi, using them to make a natural attack on a foe in any way he desires. This is a melee attack with D-rank spell damage, rending into the enemy.
Strengths:

• This is a powerful offensive spell
• It attacks with claws, dealing slashing and cutting damage

Weaknesses:

• As a melee attack, this requires contact in order to get off
• If one's meridians are sealed, the practitioner's claws return to regular nails
• Requires 10% of current Shadow Chi Pool

Post by Jiyu Kazehime on 21st April 2017, 4:19 pm

Hello I am Jiyu kazehime also known as kitty, My grading is performed in this color, let's get to getting you ready to go.

First, there are general comments I have to make about the whole submission.

1. The lineage you possess is backed by prophecy, that is the lineage you must place in the section for such if you place any. What you currently have written there is what's called a custom lineage which you have not purchased from the VIP shop and even after purchasing must be admin approved before it can be used.

2. Immunity to all forms of attack every single post is 100% not permitted, you may only be immune to your own magic. Immunities, in general, are not allowed, clearly defined resistances within reason, however, are permitted. The only things that can really prevent you from being damaged at all in a post are defensive spells which typically at most only take three hits of the spell's rank before their effect ends.

3. Entirely preventing someone from casting magic is also forbidden the most you can lock on them is one spell for a defined period of time or siphon a small defined amount of mana from them.

4. You get four spells of D rank not two, so your currently missing two of the spells you can start with.

Please refer to this thread when making your magic, as the above-mentioned things are also here.

Strengths: Strong offensive Power
                            Great at close quarters
                            Good Defensive properties

Weaknesses: The Defensive Aura is weak to piercing type magics
if a meridian is broken the attacks are not as strong and the practitioner
                               has less chi to use.
If the meridians are sealed the practitioner is left without chi and
                               becomes weakend .
Lineage:  There was once a Great Being of Deception and Darkness called Yamato No Orochi. He was worshipped by a group of Fox Masked People called The Yamigitsune. One day a boy by the name of Kuro was taken to the cave to meet The Kami of Darkness . He was not afraid which was strange since all the kids of the village were terrified of Yamato No Orochi. Kuro proved himself and Yamato No Orochi blessed him with the Shadow chi and a strong Body. From this day forward Kuro is the only one that has that blessing and the only one that knows of this great gift.
Ability: The Practitioner of this style gains a 2x regen rate to his shadow chi. He can sense any shadow being or shadow magic user through his shadow sense. he can detect danger before it happens by spreading out his shadow aura.
Passive: Always on innate from his shadow chi.
Unique Abilities:
while coated in the shadow chi armor all shadow spells damage is halved.  The other half is absorbed to strengthen the shadow chi armor. You must define this more, how much is the armor strengthened by? How much protection does it normally give? ect.

while limbs are coated in Shadow Chi all unarmed strikes damage are infused with shadow strike which doubles damage done to those weak to the element. Is this double damage based off the melee chart numbers or the spell chart numbers, if you base it off the spell chart numbers keep in mind it will not be permitted as spell damage can not be doubled by any single buff or ability.

Shadow Fox Kings Third Eye: This ability only awakens when you have mastered the Shadow Fox King magic. It amplifies your shadow chi and shadow chi based spells. it also allows you to see things that are unseen. Buffs must be defined numerically/percentage, also you can not see everything that is unseen only those things of your own rank and lower at most. (So if a higher rank mage is using an invisibility spell you would still be unable to see them)

Spells:
Spell Template
Note: BE SPECIFIC AND ADD DETAILS

Name: Shadow Fox King Fist
Rank: D
Type: Shadow offensive
Duration: 3 posts
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: The spell is cast by the practitioner moving shadow chi from his body out onto his fists and coating it. then snarling fox heads form and when struck the heads bite into the acupoints of the enemy leaving them disabled and the mana is disrupted so they cannot cast which leaves them in pure agony. passive +25% to unarmed strikes You can not stun anyone for more than a post (2 in VERY rare cases with drawbacks), and this is too many effects for a D rank spell so please lessen the amount of things this spell does.
Strengths: Strong offensive Power
                            Disruption Capabilities
                            Disabling Capabilites
Weaknesses: if shadow chi meridians are broken the chi cannot flow and the spell
dissapates. leaving the practitioner helpless .
                               No Long Range Capabilites
takes a big reserve of Shadow chi to use.

Must have one more weakness than strength at the least

Name: Shadow Fox King Chi Armor
Rank:  D
Type: Shadow Defensive
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: The practitioner covers there body in shadow chi making a somewhat unbreakable armor. absorbs half shadow mana  from shadow magic  attacks to strengthen. it prevents damage to the practitioners meridians and Acupoints. its only bane is light magic and piercing magic. passive +25% to defense.  How many hits of damage this armor takes must be defined.
Strengths: very Good Defensive capabilities
                            protects Meridians
strengthens with absorption of half shadow mana from shadow magic
                            attacks.

Weaknesses: piercing and light damage
if shadow chi meridians are broken the chi cannot flow and the spell
dissapates. leaving the practitioner helpless .
takes a big reserve of Shadow chi to use.

Alright, now that you've clarified some things and I understand that the Shadow Chi is a secondary pool of power alongside your mana, I have to inform you that there are not enough drawbacks within your magic to allow an entire secondary pool of things that can be used to cast spells and such. The Shadow Chi must replace your Mana entirely or you have to rework it.

if you chose to have the shadow chi replace your mana entirely it still must follow the regen rules of Mana as it is your form of mana and you can have the full 100 points of mana in the form of shadow chi obviously. However, I'd suggest editing in a resistance to mana draining spells if you make Shadow Chi replace your mana since immunities are illegal but Shadow Chi would still be a different source of power from the normal Mana that exists and thus reasonably it would be harder for drain spells to take mana from you.

once you've reworked things to rely on your alternative mana pool or the normal one entirely, or added weaknesses that can warrant a second mana pool like normal spells costing double or such. I'll make more suggestions for how you can make this stronger if I see anything able to be improved.

As you have to edit your shadow chi thing, all i am going to mention here is that you are underselling this buff if you never reach H rank. You might want to make this just a flatline 50% buff to spell damage or strength, possibly with a minor weakness to balance the buff out.

Additionally, you can see any effects of your rank or below. the plus 10% per level is too much as by the time you reach S rank it would make the buff 60%, and please define what you mean by effects more clearly does this only cover illusion sort effects or does it also cover something like seeing if a blow can deal status effects before it lands.

Must regen the same amount or less than what you drained from someone, so this must be a 1 or 2% regen for you. Also this sounds like a spell that has an instant effect so you can change the duration to 1 post  and the cool down to 3 posts, the reason i didn't say 2 posts for cool down is due the fact this spell is doing a lot and mana drains can be pretty damaging to mages hit with them, so this is a powerful spell.
Strengths:

• Offensive Buff for the Spellcaster
• Ability to stun an opponent struck
• Discrupts mana and provides a short mana regen

Weaknesses:

This armor has a structural health of 50 HP befoe it is dissipated. Typically it's better to define the health of something like this in hits but either way, this armor should really only take 2 d-rank hits or 40hp due to its other effects.
Strengths:

• Great defensive qualities
• Protects one's meridian pressure points
