During his travels from a neighboring region, the job he was formerly tasked with had left him with an empty feeling of accomplishment, something that would ultimately bother the strange creature that he was. This could perhaps be easily distinguished by his slouched and drawn movements and gestures.
Beyond his mood, it hadn't taken him terribly long to arrive at a nearby town, it was small and otherwise nothing remarkable by any stretch- In-fact one could almost say it was rundown, or nearly a ghost town. Regardless of its state of matters, something tickled the back of his mind; he felt purpose in someone nearby. Fore long, a man came jogging next to the rather plainly outlandish Xellal and explained a situation of a town that was about half a days travel away.
"Please! I urge you to consider aiding us. I understand you're not a marked guild-mage, but you look capable sir!" While the man pleaded, it was nothing that could be considered grovelling. He maintained some modicum of composure, admirable.

"Fine, I will accept your request of aid. I'm unfamiliar with these lands however. I'll have you show me the way; perchance, do you have others heading that direction? I am of course, but one being."

Given a simple 'no' was a bit disheartening, but perhaps the two would find someone or something along the way. Fate was fickle and liked to answer requests with outlandish responses. So they departed, taking the fastest route to the town.

Although it was baggage to have the man guide Xellal to the village in question, it saved both effort and any suspicion that weighed on himself. Although he has yet to encounter it in this world, betrayal and cunning actions were the way of life where he came from. So he was not going to spare the old man any grace until he proved to give Xellal a reason otherwise.
The road itself was carved of gravel and markings of semi-frequent trade caravans, or perhaps merely passing through for a fast route. While his eyes and senses were acute, they lacked the clarity that they once had, divination an old specialty has only barely shown promise in these lands; it was both frustrating and relieving. To have the sight and understanding of so much around to, constantly sending and receiving signals of new information was taxing on the mind. But of course, the lack of which has left Xellal a bit more vulnerable than he once was. Something that will of course, grow to either live with; or correct given circumstances that lie in his future.

About an hour and a half passed during his travels with the man. The village peeked over the next hilltop and shown it’s age, or at least did to the mirror-man.

”Alright, this will do. You can wait in hiding here or head back. I cannot guarantee a speed in which this will be handled in. So you may be waiting awhile.”

Without allowing the man to speak much passed his own words, Xellal had planted either feet into the earth, tilting his body forwards and lunged. The breadth of his wings stretching to either side in their full form and carried the body the remaining distance. If it were any grace the rather obvious appearing man had, is during times of confusion. Most people merely pass him off as a hallucination, so he flew with speed to an unoccupied alleyway. Hearing the voices of ruffians and what he could distinguish is young innocents. Whether they were children, women or man it really didn’t concern him much other than the fact he was here to aid them.

So he begun, with his left elbow curved he gently out-stretched his hand and faced the palm to the sky. A dim glow of silver etched into the air inches above the palm, creating a circular formation that begun to fill other concentric and connected by branch circles within’. It was fundamental circle-magic to the sorcerer, despite the fact it was beyond the comprehension of this setting he found himself in. The sigils, runics and unifying words that populated within’ all varied in languages, shapes and seemed to be a compendium of differing languages all across the circle. And with a faint whisper the man spoke in a broken tongue

”Legendary Lore”

A wave of invisible energy laced itself throughout the entire village. A quiet hum that reverberated in his own ears spoke in readings of the entire layout of the village, who was present, what kind of items were in people’s cabinets, and ultimately the individual who orchestrated this chaos. – And something else.

”I sometimes still amuse myself; fate a fickle player. We have another like-minded magi present. But they are in hiding, suppose I aught to make them feel comfortable then. – Draw Scourge out it is then.”

Closing his palm, the etchings appeared to dissolve without any trace left behind. His attention was drawn to a building some forty-meters from his position, beyond three houses. A window was open and the target was within’; but it didn’t eliminate the other scum that existed out in the village. A show of power, unbridled and unmatched would certainly stir the fear in their hearts. Force a retreat or willing surrender. Sure, it might draw the attention of some energetic enemies; but from what he could glean over his readings they weren’t much to be worried about- Worse comes for worse, they make him bring the real him out. And that might cause a bit more destruction than he’d want, but worse has happened- And worse will yet to come.

Without delay, the man leaped to a roof; followed by a gust of wind rocketing him through the air like a bullet. The wings stabilizing him and guiding him towards the window he attributed; with the soft landing of a panther. All that remained was a short-lived breeze of air that caught through the room. The man was lounging on a couch just across from himself, staring with stark wide and confused eyes at the abomination.

”Greetings. Scourge, I’ve come to make this tyranny stop. I’m sure you understand.” his tone carrying a nuance of both calm and sympathetic- with an undertone of what was yet to come.

“Tch don’t moc--! Gngk!”

Within’ the moment the man begun to speak, fire was flowing around his body as if he was ready to assault Xellal without a moment’s hesitation- It was reassuring to the sorcerer, it made it easier to justify.
As his own hand was extended a conjuration of water begun to tightly wrap itself around the man’s neck and mouth in a sweet embrace of cruelty. ”Come now, we both have a show to attend. Wouldn’t miss it for the world I hope.”

Dragging the spell along with the man outside the window he leaped and with a flick of the wrist sent the foe firing at thirty-kilometers towards the center of town. When he and the stone met a large ‘PWAF!’ echoed the surroundings. His men looking around in both uttered confusion and the gentle wisps of fear crawling down their backs. Xellal himself gently lofted in the air twenty-feet from the impact-zone.

”Come now Scourge, I know you have more than that in you!”

He did, it would be an interesting day. As a wave of fire lofted out of the pluming dust and debris like a dragon’s tongue- It was a bit insulting to the man, not that he would tell anyone why.
Regardless, the fire impacted the mirrored’ body and caused a burning slag chunk to fall to the ground below. It didn’t even look like Xellal attempted to defend himself, perhaps he was too unfamiliar with battle in this world. For ignorance just cost him some body; some that showed to hurt.

”Well… That’s a first. Interesting day indeed.”

Unexpected as a word wisely used for the entirety of the battlefield to witness someone conjure a massive pig straight out of gravity-falls; but an irrelevant piece of information. What was important is the person that intent on aiding Xellal whom was far-strung beyond his reach. Was shot; although thankfully not fatal. It had caused a visible strain of concern in the strange-appearing man.
Whom was hovering above the battlefield a good thirty-feet still. Fully in sight of the strike Alex had initiated. -- More importantly, where the assailant struck the ally from.
Without further hesitation, the being flew with conviction towards the sniper and lunged his hand outwards to try and grab ahold of the man's face- To which he had missed. The sniper taken the opportunity had evaded the grab with a swift roll of his form and took a shot at Xellal; to his surprise was deflected by the still present arm. It sparked, despite looking like mirrors. An unusual and frightening realization.

"Rain."

Xellal had muttered something with a gruff stern voice, as if it was recited countless times afore. A sorcerer's circle magic etched itself into the air above his palm; to which he had extended open palmed towards the five marksmen along the rooftops- A moments notice passed before red and silver 'liquid' oozed out of his palm and fired off high-velocity 'needles' that lodged through each individuals hearts. Festering and convulsions occurred with little regard of grace and they dropped.

Turning his attention to the two down below; he saw Alex recovering and Scourge faced with a large pig. It was an unusual sight- But not the weirdest he has seen in his life. Having now been posted atop a roof-top.

"It appears the good-soul has come to aid me in stopping a man's tyrannical grips." Having spared Alex a glance, as if he felt confident the message was conveyed.

After only a matter of moments when Alex took off, Xellal had been watching with curious intent.

Which only lived a short-while until it came to realization that he had other things to occupy himself with; like the small militia of marauders that were trying to trail Alex. A grindy groan emerged from Xellal afore he leaped from the rooftops and landed patiently in the path that would take them to the mines. Only for them to come eye to eye with what was best described as a strange golem.

"Hello~" he mused carelessly. Only to be met with a brain-dead combatant rushing in and swinging towards his gut. It was certainly a lot less talk capable in this world he thought. As it keeled over only a few inches; with some careful maneuvering backwards it granted an ample source of time to twist his wrist forwards and the earth around the last numbers of outlaws were met with a slew of earthen spikes erupting with a cracking ferocity; where others may resolve with non-lethal. Xellal, kind at heart- Was not so kind when met with blind violence. And each and every was met with a serrated and sharpened point, firing with callousness through their torsos.

The blood pooled some afore he turned back and observed the distance that Alex had traveled. It took a moment before he shook his head; sparing a final glance at the pricked and blood-ridden foes.

He decided, to wander towards his unlikely ally. At the very least, for formal greetings. The body he wielded was already slowly recovering with a remarkable precision.
