Shino s coat fluttered in the wind as it pushes against him the rain soaking his clothes and Fenrirs black fur as they walked deep into the mysterious canyon. He had come here in hopes of training in his magic in a place that will not burn. The weird thing about it is that the moment he stepped foot in the canyon it began to rain almost as if the earth was crying to rehabilitate its scorched skin. He had not seen a single tree or pinch of grass. This didn't sit well with him and Fenrir who voiced his concern in a small growl. They had been walking in the storm for hours trying to find a decent place to set up. Shinokage usually enjoyed sleeping under the cover of trees and the night sky rather than staying in a inn or his home. He would have to settle for a cave if they didn't find any forests in the massive canyon. He stops his boots making a small splash in a puddle as he feels it. There was a faint magical aura to the place that he couldn't quite grasp. Fenrir looked over at him in question and he just held out his hand. He closed his eyes and waited.....nothing. He sighed deeply and kept on.

An hour later they came to a sudden stop. Fenrir let out a growl to let him know that he smells someone. Shino nods and places a hand on the wolf shaped handle of his blade. He slowly starts inching forward looking left and right. Who the hell would be out here in the middle of nowhere. That thought almost made him chuckle giving the irony. He stopped and closed his eyes trying to listen for something through the rain. He stopped as he felt it now. The magical aura was coming from above. Up at the tip of the canyon he could vaguely make out a silhouette through the pouring rain. He started walking towards it his knuckles turning white as he held his blade tightly at the ready. He decided to climb up the canyon. He escalated the canyon in five minutes making quick jumps to the top catching his breath as he landed silently behind what seemed to be a statue from the twenty feet distance he put between them. Fenrir lowered his massive head letting out a growl loud enough to be heard clearly through the rain. He inched forward so he could see better through the down pour. The statue seemed to face away from him as it looked on to the canyon valley. He decided to stop and call out to make sure no one was around,"Hello anyone there!?"

Yazuki was once again at an area he felt he would be fine in to meditate to break the storm, but this didn't always work too well. He had grown used to being interrupted, but this time THIS time, he was sure no one would bother him as he was SO far off the beaten path no one could possibly notice him. He stood there, his auburn hair blowing in the storm, but just barely as he had gotten it to dial down some. The rain has receded as well, but then things of course would have to get interrupted. He always had this happen to him, as he heard a growl and the voice of someone behind him, feeling frustrated by the fact that once again another traveler had found him. The rain turned into a downpour in an instant, which was par for the course, as he was used to this by now. No one else seemed to ever want to wear waterproof clothes to transverse the canyon, that was for sure, as his robes and all he wore was. He was a Thunder Slayer after all. He turned around to face the man, cold eyes and a blank expression on his face as a bolt of lightning lit it up, reflecting off his electric green opticals and illuminating the scar that ran over the bridge of his nose and under both eyes.

"Can I help you," he yelled over the torrential downpour, as thunder crashed and lightning struck around the entirety of the canyon.

The moment he spoke the statue turned. He realized that this was not a statue at all but a person. Through the storm he could barely see what he looked like but when the lightning struck one key feature stood out. His eyes. They where light bright green emeralds glowing through the rain. Fenrir took a step back in almost hesitation which brought almost a small tug to his lips if he wasn't concentrating on the interesting figure in front of him. The rain seemed to slow a bit and then pour again and the lightning seemed a bit unorthodox. With hand still on his blade he held out the other to his companion so he knew to stay put. As he took a few steps closer he noticed a strange scar on the guys face that gave him a slightly rough look. He of course shared some scars of his own but the really good ones where the ones contained in his mind. Shino wondered what a guy was doing staring off into a storm. When he was about five feet away he stopped now seeing him.

"I saw you alone and was just wondering if you where lost or troubled. I didn't expect to find another sentient being out here besides me and Fenrir."

Something about the guy gave Shino a sort of nostalgia. That look in his eyes every time the lightning flashed. It was the eyes that he saw every time he looked in the mirror. Life had definetly taken its toll on the man. The wisdom and pain in his eyes tell of a story much more complex than he would let anyone ever know. This almost made him want to let his guard down and just walk away but he could never take his chances in this cruel world. He took in the figure who seemed to be wearing a light armor under the coat he wore. The only reason he noticed was because of the glint the armor gave off when the lightning flashed. He was sure his hair like his was long but unlike Shino who currently wore it up in a single pony tail the opposite wore two. Shino was wearing his usual black leather long coat and a black shirt with black pants and the matching boots. The outfit was not water proof so it clung to his skin but could easily be dried. He stares through the rain with intensity that brought out a glint in his black eyes making it seem like they where lit. This was not because he was angry but because he was trying to see. He turned to look at Fenrir and then back at the man awaiting a response.

Yazuki studied the man in front of him for a long while as the man seemed to do the same. He could see a pain in his eyes, as his held as well. While most of Yazuki's scars were mental, the one of his face bore the resemblance to his truth. He was a little perterbed that once again his meditation was broken, but this was something that he was used to by now. Only when Marceline had came did the storm subside in a way he hadn't expected. He looked over at the wolf and realized he hadn't seen Frey or Silver for a few days, and he was a little distraught about it. The rain became heavier with this thought. Noticing, he turned back to this man and began to focus more on him. His hand on his weapon did not put ease on Yazuki's mind, but he did not seem to be too threatening. Shock and Awe had more power than the weapon that was before him, so he had no desire to worry about it at the moment. Slowly, he began to realize this man may be a lot like him.

"You can call me Raijin. And what of you? What is your name," he proclaimed in a very serious voice, not letting show the feelings of turmoil seeing the wolf had caused. He was calm and calculated on the outside, but inside he was worried about Frey and what she was doing. He had only just gotten her back, and wouldn't want anything to jeopardize it. While he was still getting used to the idea of having her around, he also was upset about what had supposedly happened. Miva had told him her thoughts, but he still thought it more of a dream until they went to the shopping. The thoughts were not quite visible, but the fact he was contemplating something were for sure. The man before him did perplex him, as getting to the top of this cliff was no easy feat for someone who had climbed.
