    Description:
    This magic has an origin so rare that the amount of magi having ever wielded this do not pass the number of 100, even though it has already existed for millennia. The most important source for this magic to take form is Barbardium, and the myths that surround its shrouded existence, as well as an affinity to the essence that runs throughout all of existence; Ether, to gain the power of Ethereal Manipulation through it. Some gain this rare honor through birthright, others through centuries of devout training, and the select few; those who get chosen by the essence themselves. The lucky Chosen Ones blessed by Creation itself.

    So in order to truly grasp what Barbardium is, and how it was integrated as a part of a select group of humans, we have to go back to its origins. How Barbardium become a legend, and how said legend became part of humanity. How it evolved and became the source of magic it is today.

    Barbardium, a holy metal of extreme toughness that is capable of holding souls. Said to be unbreakable when used by the right person, and of unknown origin; a metal so tough that not even the Great Devouring Three could absorb it without feeling the burnt of said sacrilegious act. Barbardium was first discovered in an age where Gods and Demons still walked Earthland among us mortals, held by the great Dragon King of the East Sea, Ao Guang. The Barbardium then had been refined into a mythical weapon, an omnipotent bo staff that had the ability to shrink, grow and expand as it wanted, and could carry an immense amount of weight, due to its own density, which made it incredibly heavy as well. It fell into the hands of the Monkey King Sun Wukong later on, who was the only one recognised by the staff, which was named Ruyi Jingu Bang. Sun Wukong wielded Ruyi Jingu Bang into battle against the Heavens, and even used it once Hell came to collect his soul, not willing to reincarnate. He defied Hell and wiped his name from the Book of Life and Death, as the names of all monkeys known to him. The Heavenly Kings and Jade Emperor, who were alerted of this matter, tried to trick the Monkey King, but Sun Wukong did not fall for it and waged war on them, defeat the entire forces of the Heavens. None could stop him until Buddha stepped in and was sealed for centuries. Given a chance at freedom by aiding a monk sent by Buddha, he joined the monk on its journey and protects him many times, at the end of the travels being granted Buddhahood as 'The Victorious Buddha'.

    It is at this pace that Sun Wukong gave Ruyi Jingu Bang to humanity, knowing he couldn't protect everyone all the time. He shattered the staff and gifted the shards that came from it to people he found worthy, while hiding the core body of his mythical weapon in an unknown location. The Shards of Ruyi were of the original Barbardium and thus fused with the chosen humans's hearts, down-grading the holy metal to its Divine Steel variant in order to be wielded by them. Stories tell that its true form could be awakened, but the restrictions for it were too impossible; "One had to sacrifice their life in exchange for nothing, and when passing on Death's territory repeat the crimes of the Monkey King and scheme against Hell to reclaim their soul." If anyone could do that, the power would first erase the traces of its down-graded predecessor from the wielder's body, to then use the energy from said process and the user's retrieved soul to rekindle the Barbardium's true strength.

    Kenna is one of those few descendants; a rare offspring that was found worthy by the Monkey King to receive a Barbardium shard upon birth. Kenna in particular already had an unknown birth-rightly affinity to Ether essence, having inherited both the Celestial genes and thus their power from her mother's blood, as well as the Demonic genes containing the Chthonian element from her father's heritage. Only due to the fact that these powers got usurped and suppressed by the sealed Barbardium didn't they exert their presence within her magic, up until the moment she died. The magic got released when Kenna withstood Death and reclaimed her soul, overflowing her body with Ether essence that overwrote her old magic with that of the Ethereal Manipulation and the awakened Barbardium, creating the very first Etherborn to walk the Earth again after a 1000 years. Through her Barbardium, which was riddled with souls, and the help of her Ethereal Manipulation, Kenna can now converse with the dead and their souls, or in some cases use them as fuel for her spells, yet usually sticks with using the ether essence or Barbardium seperately. In some cases both can be combined into one more potent spell.




    Strengths:

    • Due to Nether and Aether being present within the Ethereal Manipulation, Kenna will deal more damage to those that harness Nether and/or Aether Manipulation in any way, dealing 1.5x more damage when using spells of the Ethereal or Ether sort.
    • Through Soul Manipulation can converse and use the souls of the dead in and outside battle.
    • This magic gives her a physical superiority over others regarding raw strength, and makes it easier to take hits of higher-ranked spells without getting stunned or thrown back.


    Weaknesses:

    • Cannot lift a hand against those who carry the Monkey King's Descent lineage with this magic ever.
    • Due to the Nether and Aether elements being present within the Ethereal Manipulation, Kenna will get more damage from those that harness Nether or Aether Manipulation in any way, getting 1.5x more damage from said spells.
    • Barbardium can be eaten by Slayers that hold the light/holy or steel element, as it is a holy metal.
    • Kenna is more susceptible to mind effecting spells, making it hard for her to maintain the right balance of mind that is needed to use the magic.

    Gingerbread Man:

    Gingerbread Man
    Description: "Run and run as fast as you can. You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man."
    Know the story of the Gingerbread Man? That obnoxious little dough stain that always runs faster than anyone else, running so fast that no matter how fast people try to run, they can never catch him. Until one man caught him of course. In a confrontation with this little prankish devil after a promise to the people to take him down, this man, whose name faded from history, chased him down for 7 years, 7 months and 7 days, around the world and through time and space, until one day, he did the impossible and caught the little guy purely based on his own speed, rather than relying on the cunning that the fox in the classic utilized. The tremendous feat that broke the impossible resulted in the creation of a legend and the power behind this legend gave those of this man's blood supernatural agility and speed, but with a twist. Reenacting the chase that gave them this power, users of this ability have Absolute Speed.
    "Run and run as fast as you can. You can't escape me, I'm the Gingerbread Man."
    Ability: Absolute Speed, the world's most powerful speed ability. It is an ability not based on adding just raw speed to the user, but on comparing the user's speed against the speed of the opponent the user is fighting. As a result when this ability is active, no matter the speed or reflexes of the opponent, the gingerbread man user is always faster. ALWAYS. Not even light-speed can keep up, but being able to exceed it would depend on the rank of the user. When used, the spell adds the speed of the fastest opponent/projectile in the field to their own, making them always dominant in the speed factor but has no effect if nothing is moving.
    Usage: Moving so fast however may break one's body, especially when the opponent is much faster than your base speed. Thus, the limit for users is 2 uses per thread, lasting 1 post each, with 6 post cool down. The user's rank also limits the max speed their still human bodies can take, with bullet-speed (1200 m/s) as the limit for C-rank and below, Mach 100(34000 m/s) for B-rank, lightning(6000 km/s) for A-rank and light(300,000 km/s) for S-rank or higher.
    The user is reduced in speed by 50% after using this and feels exhausted,  both for 5 posts (reducing by 10% per post)



    Unique Abilities:

    • Underworld Lordship - Kali Yuga (domain) || Having challenged and defeated Death in his own game, Kenna's been allowed to reclaim her soul and has been awarded this unique passive ability. 'Underworld Lordship - Kali Yuga' allows her to call upon the souls of other deceased and command them without fail through her Barbardium heart; as thus, other soul-based users, and even soul slayers aren't able to absorb the souls she commands within a 15 meter perimeter of any Barbardium of her making. This includes herself, as her heart contains Barbardium as well. This perimeter grows by 5 meters per rank above D.

    • Transcended Strength || A passive granted through the Ethereal essences in this magic. In order to perfectly handle Barbardium, which weight and density cannot be overthrown. Although Kenna's body is still as mortal as can be, the Ether essence grants her strength to surpass the mortal limits and transcend to that of myths. At D-rank she can handle up to 500kg without even batting an eye, with the weight she can handle tripling every time she ranks up. This insane amount of power can only be felt by others during physical and melee combat. Melee attacks do 50% more damage to people of the same rank, 25% to any higher ranked and 75% to those of lower rank, and are otherwise used for cosmetic purposes.

    • Unyielding Spirit || A passive ability that enhances the durability of all defensive spells, allowing Kenna to defend against spells that are one rank higher than hers or allow her to take one extra hit of a same-ranked spell. Eg. One D-rank spell can defend against 1 C-rank spell, or 3 D-rank spells. (Has a three turn cooldown per use when used to defend against a spell one rank higher than hers.)

    • Ethereal Synchronisation || Having gotten accustomed to the flow of ethereal energy through her veins, the magic has started developing Kenna's body to gain a defensive layer, allowing her a passive damage resistance of 25%. This passive resistance takes the form of an ethereal projection, making it look like she suddenly wears a metallic armor; similarly her left eye looks like it's flaring up with blue ethereal energy, while her dark hair turns into a ghastly silver color.

    Name: Oro Kara (Fool)
    Rank: D
    Type: Ethereal | Defensive/Counter | multi-target

    Description: Oro Kara is a defensive counter that is fuelled by her own strength and transcended to a new level by the Ether essence, allowing her body to become sturdy enough to withstand the power of any physical attack that’s coming her way. Once the magic circle appears underneath Kenna, her attacker’s momentum is stopped, after which an aura flares up and blasts them back from whence they came. This spell doesn’t do any damage by itself, yet damage can be sustained from the power released during the forced stop of their momentum. Due to this, anyone regardless of rank can have their momentum ceased, yet the chances of higher ranked opponents receiving damage from this impact is considerably less, or even not present than for those of higher rank. Anyone of lower or equal rank will be blown back 45 meters and get 75% spell-rank damage, while those of one rank higher will get only half spell-ranked damage and no knock-back.

    Strengths:

    • Anyone who attacks her physically will have their momentum stopped; up until her own rank, but regardless of their strength or weight.
    • Can counter multiple opponents as long as they attack her physically.


    Weaknesses:

    • Oro Kara needs Kenna to stay stationary in order to succeed.
    • The attackers gets their momentum stopped and are blown back, but Kenna still takes the damage from these attacks.
    • It’s a physical counter, meaning that whatever Kenna is countering needs to be touched, otherwise this spell will have no use.
    • The spell itself doesn’t do the damage, rather the explosion does when their momentum is stopped.
    • Higher ranked mages will not be affected by the knock-back blast.



    Itoryu - Shishi Sonson:

    Name: Itoryu - ShiShi SonSon (One Sword Style - Re-sheath: Lion's Song)

    Description: Placing the sheathed sword upright and listening to the "breath" of his opponent, the attacker rapidly unsheathes, attacks, and resheathes the sword. With the magic circle appearing around the swords guard, as soon as the sword is drawn. An interesting note is that Kenna does does not need to actually hold a sword in order to use this spell; she can just manifest the Barbardium within mere moments of the actual strike to attack with.’Unsheathing’ would then be the actual manifestation of the Barbardium sword, whereas the resheathing would be the dispersing of the metal into orbs of magic.



    When in dire need, Kenna can even call upon the Ether essence to reinforce her magic into a pure ethernano sword, which engulfes her own arm as medium, to do this spell. When having to resort to this last thing however, Kenna will alter the stance and movement, having her weapon already ‘unsheathed’ and at the ready beside her by stretching her arm. With using her arm as a medium for the strengthening ethernano, Kenna is more vulnerable to higher ranked attacks and spells, with a high probability of her breaking her arm or sustaining heavy damage as a result.

    Strengths:

    • Can be done with either an actual sword, a Barbardium sword or as pure concentrated magic around her arm, making it a versatile spell.


    Weaknesses:

    • Can only be used on one opponent at a time.
    • When using her arm as a medium, Kenna could sustain heavier damage when used to counter spells of two or more ranks higher than her.



    Etherborn - The Swift & Powerful:


    Name: Etherborn - The Swift & Powerful
    Rank: D
    Type: Ethereal | Support | Buff | AoE
    Duration: 3 posts
    Cooldown:5 posts
    Description: A simple spell that doesn’t need the name to be spoken, or a visible magic circle to have appeared in order to be evoked. Kenna, as one reborn within the essence of Ether, merely has to think about this spell for it to happen. The ethereal essence gathers within Kenna and slowly starts strengthening her body, getting stronger as time passes until she transcends for a short moment, which is indicated by the aura that engulfs her. This buff enhances the capabilities and limits of the human body for 3 posts, allowing for a small enhancement of speed and strength at the beginning till a full transcending takes place during the last post two posts. Kenna can choose to channel the essence towards allies within a 30 meter radius, who then benefit from it too.

    The effects of this buff hold a 15% increase in all close-combat and physical spells, and grow with an additional 10% every post, capping at 25%. Any buff will be negated when this one is in effect; if another buff is already in effect it will be overridden and negated by this one. The Ether essence itself will not allow medium or long range spells to be used, as these will spread the buff and dispel it. This doesn’t mean they cannot be used however; but if they are used when by a person is affected by this buff, said attack or spell will only do half the damage as compensation. To maintain the balance of one's body however, those under influence have their defence decreased by the same amount that their speed and strength have been elevated.
    Strengths:

    • The user(s)’s strength and speed are increased with 15% during the first post, and gains +10% more the next, capping out at 25%, keeping that bonus until for 3 posts.
    • Can be shared with all allies within a 30 meter radius.


    Weaknesses:

    • This spell is automatically dispelled if they still use a medium or long range spell were to be used.
    • Once any other spell or technique that isn’t considered close-range is used, aside from the buff wearing off instantly, their fired spell/attack will only do half the damage.
    • When this spell is active, no buffs can be received or given.
    • Buffs that are already in progress or received will be negated upon this spell’s activation.
    • Defense is decreased by the same percentage their speed and strength have been increased with.



    Heavenly Supremacy:


    Name: Tenkū Haja Chimimōryō (Heaven's Supremacy over Evil Spirits of Rivers and Mountains)

    Description: The Chimimoryo are malevolent spirits that haunt Earthland's rivers and mountains, preying on the souls of both the living and the dead. Kenna is able to assert dominion over them through her Underworld Domain and Ethereal essence, thus being able to call upon her Heavenly Supremacy over the evil spirits and command them to attack her enemies with but a simple flick of her fingers. The magic circle spawns about a decent 3 meters in width and appears right before Kenna, shining brightly before the souls appear from nearly everywhere. When they collide with people they will push them back in their flurry, while the weaker undead creatures are struck down, their bodies returned to ashes and their souls caught within the Barbardium heart she wears. Undead or those defying death in any way will get 125% spell-ranked damage, while living creatures only get 50% spell-ranked damage.

    Strengths:

    • Are long-range and can attack several targets at once.
    • Weak Undead, Undead monsters, or creatures related to Death can be converted to souls for Kenna's Kali Yuga realm.
    • Does 125% spell-ranked damage to undead, revived or creatures that defy Death.


    Weaknesses:

    • Due to the massive AoE of this spell, the chance of getting hit diminishes the further away the target is.
    • It will first and foremost target the Undead, making it so that the spell may ignore living targets if undead are present.
    • Once the spell has been cast, the spirit's paths cannot be altered.
    • Although spirits, they can cause significant damage in and to 'holy' places due to their malevolent nature.
    • Does only 50% spell-ranked damage to the living.

    Kali Yuga - Age of Suffering:


    Name: Kali Yuga - Age of Suffering

    Description: A strong burst of ethereal energy assaults the hypocampus within one's brain, stimulating it into sending the feeling of an intense sensation of fear to paralyse her opponents. Cosmetically; when this spell activates the clouds seem to gather above the area, shrouding a large area from the sun as if a storm is brewing. The clouds then burst open as the magic circle becomes visible; within Kenna's palm a small orb appears, in which she holds the energy manipulation the hypocampus. Anyone within a 30 m range is subjected to the spell, unless of higher rank.


    Strengths:

    • Fearful - The targets will get paralysed for one post, and if still being haunted for by fears, see their greatest fear become reality in an illusion only visible to themselves.
    • Outside of battle this will be successful on any NPC and player (with permission of player themselves).


    Weaknesses:

    • Those of higher rank will only stuck to their place for a mere fraction of a second before being able to move again.
    • Those without any type of fear will remain pinned to the ground, but can still move their upper body around while paralysed.
    • Will cause both foes and allies to see their greatest fear as an illusion, whether they are paralysed by it or not



    Ethereal Healing:

    Name: Ethereal Healing
    Rank: D
    Type: Ethereal || Holy || Support
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 2 posts
    Description: A minuscule magic symbol appears within her irises as she stretches out her hand and gently blows into her palm, converting the ethereal energy into healing-based ethernano. To the naked eye it looks like multi-fluorescent dust that appears out of nowhere and is blown their way; those who bask in the dust can feel their vigour returning and their quelling ailments disappear. Out of battle this dust even has the power to return life to the departed, or heal otherwise mortal wounds.


    Strengths:

    • Cleansing - The user either get themselves or an ally healed for D-rank's worth of damage, or can cleanse themselves or any ally from status effects.


    Weaknesses:

    • If used on an ally, they must be within a 5 meter range for the spell to have effect.
    • As it is considered holy magic, any light or holy slayer can consume this spell and gain the healing or cleansing effects for themselves.

    Detonating Clone:


    Name: Detonating Clone
    Rank: D
    Type: Ethereal || Offensive
    Duration: 1 post
    Cooldown: 2 posts
    Description: A large magic circle appears in Kenna's near vicinity, from which an exact duplicate of herself appears. This clone looks and senses like any it could be the actual body to any other person; making it great for sudden switches or decoys. The clone remains silent and doesn't speak, yet follows the chosen target everywhere (unless the user had no specific target in mind, in which case it just wanders around aimlessly), as if it were a homing missile. Be it a homing missile at walking speed. The only difference is the fact that after a duration of one post, this clone explodes; the explosion powerful enough to leave a 10m by 10m crater where it detonates. Kenna can defuse the detonation by touching the clone, after which it becomes a regular, mind-controled clone.


    Strengths:

    • Will detonate after one post, leaving an large crater in its wake.
    • Only Kenna can touch the clone without it detonating; similarly it will not detonate as long as Kenna is within range.


    Weaknesses:

    • The clone will explode upon touch; be this the actual target or a random object flung at it.
    • The clone is mind-controled and moves wherever the user's mind directs it to.
    • This clone moves at walking speed; it cannot run unless its speed is buffed.

    Corrupted Barbardium Fist:



    Name: Corrupted Barbardium Fist
    Rank: C
    Type: Barbardium | Demonic Corruption | Offensive
    Duration: 1 turn
    Cooldown: 3 turns
    Description: A devastating blow, fuelled by the beginning corruption of Kenna’s Barbardium through her demonic genes. Odd glowing runes appear upon her skin and circle up her lower arms, initiating the demonic state of her body, leaving her unable to control her magic until the corruption ceases. Instead of otherwise channelling but a small portion of her magic into her fists, her magic is haywired and forced out when the blow hits, dealing an irregular amount of damage that seeps through both the outer and inner defensive layers of the body. Her victim -if hit- will find themselves into an enormous amount of pain and unable to act properly (reduced reaction speed) due to the internal damage taken. Once struck, the foe is dealt 175% C-rank damage on impact, and with it causes severe internal damage; both internal bleedings and fractures, depending on where the opponent was hit.

    Due to this spell being fueled by her demonic genes, Demon Slayers will be more resistant to this attack, thus only getting the regular amount of C-rank damage if it were to hit. The demonic genes gladly corrupt Kenna’s body when getting fueled with the blood of her comrades; if she were to hit an ally, her demonic unconscious will become sated, enjoying the blood of the comrade they spilled, and makes it take longer for Kenna to be mentally prepared to use this spell again.

    Strengths:

    • Causes severe internal damage; both internal bleedings and fractures, depending on where the opponent was hit.
    • Does 175% C-rank damage.
    • If blocked with a C-rank spell it will still deal the ulterior 75% damage to the opponent, but will not cause any internal damage.

    Weaknesses:

    • Cannot be buffed by any spell.
    • Will cause the spell to backfire when blocked with a higher-ranked spell, dealing 75% C-rank damage back to the user.
    • If this spell is used upon a Demon Slayer and hits, they will only get regular C-rank damage dealt instead of the elevated 175% C-rank damage.
    • If the spell were to be deflected and used upon an ally, Kenna will corrupt even more, doubling the cooldown of this spell.

    Name: Forbidden Summoning - Minos, Judge of Hell

    Description: Minos, one of the three kings of hell that judge the deceased souls's fates within the Underworld, has finally heard the call of his new master. He had not expected to find one with the authority to boss him around, yet was accidently summoned to this world through Kenna's soul realm when it connected with the Underworld. Minos dons an armor made of Kenna's Barbardium, adorned with majestic large wings, yet isn't worn down by the weight of it. He moves about freely when summoned, able to think for himself, and loves using his active ability to showcase an epic entry whenever he is summoned.

    Minos can take as much damage as a regular summon before being called back to his true plane of existence. Dependent on the amount of time he stays within the realm of his summoner, Minos can be allowed to return sooner if he didn't remain the full period of time. Like any regular summon, after having used his 'ability', Minos can still use his fists to fight.

    Active Ability - Gigantic Feather Flap: Minos kicks up a powerful cutting wind with his mighty wings, deflecting any projectiles up till C-rank with the wind's force.

    Passive Ability - Flight: Minos can use his large wings to actively fly when summoned; being able to carry up to three people of regular size, or up to 5 child-sized people. He flies at a C-ranks running speed when alone or only carrying one person, but has his speed reduced to 1/3 of that speed when carrying 2 or more.

    Strengths:

    • Watch out; Hot! - He has a naturally strong pheromone, making others more attracted to him, and less likely to attack him as long as he leaves them alone. (If this is towards players, OoC permission is needed)

    Weaknesses:

    • Can only remain within the realm he was summoned for a set amount of time.
    • If an ally accidently hits Minos, the ulterior melee damage will be dealt to them as well.
    • Takes one post to complete the summon; the user however can move around freely when doing so.


    Sekishiki Tenryu Ha (Praescepe Celestial Spirit March):


    Name: Sekishiki Tenryu Ha (Praescepe Celestial Spirit March)

    Description: Kenna embraces her mastery over her Underworld Domain and calls upon the souls of the departed, which she caries with her. Usually through a medium connected with these souls (like a Barbardium or soul-infused weapon), but also capable of being used by using her body as a medium, waves of ethernano surge around her visibly while a portal opens up above her. All the souls heading her call emerge from the portal as blueish wisps, and gather around Kenna; the souls of those that are connected to her life and of which she caries their will, appear beside her as an illusionary army. As they stand, Kenna can opt to either charge the spell or fire it immediately.

    In case of immediate fire; all souls will immediately gather into the sphere that gathered above her. The illusions flare up with a blue hue and ascend to become one with the sphere, making it grow 10m in size. Kenna then extends her arm and guides the sphere towards her enemies by flinging it their way; anyone within the sphere's way will get 100% C-rank damage. The sphere can travel up to 30m in a straight line.

    In case of charging the spell; more and more souls will emerge from the portal and form a large blue-hued sphere meters above Kenna, growing considerable in size. After one post the sphere will have grown 15m in size, and will be capable of doing 150% C-rank damage. After two posts of charging successfully, the sphere will be 25m in size, Kenna will be able to add her own soul to the fray at a cost of 5% of her total health, allowing this spell to break through a B-rank defensive spell while dealing 125% C-rank damage.

    Strengths:

    • Ultimate Strength - If Kenna can charge the attack for two posts straight, she'll be able to break through a defensive spell one rank higher than this spell's rank by adding her soul to the attack.

    Weaknesses:

    • If Kenna initiates the charge, she is forced to remain stationary until the moment she's ready to unleash the spell's devastating force.
    • One can disrupt the charging by attacking Kenna and throwing her off balance; this will not dispell the attack but instead have it be fired at the stage she had already passed.
    • Ultimate Strength's Drawback; the strain of adding one's soul to the attack shows through the damage Kenna sustains. (5% of her max health)
    • Once thrown the sphere can only follow the direction it has been thrown in.











    Paid C-rank spell slots - 2/2

    Piercing Rain:


    Name: Piercing Rain
    Rank: C
    Type: Barbardium || AoE

    Description: A simple AoE attack spell where Kenna backflips and summons a bow and three arrows to her side; she aims and remains stationary as a magic circle appears in front of the arrow tips. Volley upon volley of Barbardium arrows are shot unto the enemies within a 60m radius; all who were caught within the volley are dealt 50% C-rank worth of damage per turn. This spell can also be done when remaining on the ground; Kenna will kneel and aim the arrows towards the sky, which will then rain down upon her foes within a 60m radius.

    Strengths:

    • This spell can be used while airborn, as well on the ground and can hit multiple foes at once.


    Weaknesses:

    • When airborn, Kenna is an easy target for ranged attacks.
    • The spell can be disrupted if Kenna is thrown off-balance during the shooting.



    Etherborn's Hail:


    Name: Etherborn's Hail
    Rank: C
    Type: Ethereal || Barbardium || Defensive || offensive Multi-target
    Duration: 1 turn
    Cooldown: 3 turns
    Description: A complicated spell known for it's ability to be used either offensive or defensive. Both modes start off as Kenna erecting a complicated diagram of multiple magic circles in a crescent bow before her; she then speaks the mode she wishes to use before the spell is activated.

    Offensive Mode; The magic circles light up all at once and send out volleys of pure Barbardium spikes towards anyone in a 90m cone-shaped radius, dealing C-rank worth of damage to anyone caught up in the volley.

    Defensive Mode; All magic circles connect and from a large dome of ethereal magic over herself and possible allies, spawning up to 50m in width. This dome can take up to 3 times it spell rank in damage before it crumbles.

    Strengths:

    • Multi-usage - Can be used either offensive or defensive, dependent on the situation the caster is in; the mode in which it will be used must be spoken in order to be changed however.
    • This spell is capable of taking up to 3 c-rank spells, or one B-rank spell worth of damage before collapsing.


    Weaknesses:

    • if the mode isn't spoken, the spell will automatically take the offensive form.
    • Once the magic circle diagram has been cast, it cannot be moved; meaning that moving targets can easily get out of its offensive shooting range.
    • The dome does not defend against underground attacks.
    • Enemies can still infiltrate the defensive barrier if they can dig their way into it from underground (if the ground can be dug through).

    Description: Kenna lets every single vibre of her veins be overrun with the ethereal element of her magic, becoming temporarily one with the universe, boosting her speed to limits she had never dared reaching. A downside to it is that her body becomes ethereal; handy for passing through whatever solid matter she wants, but not when wanting to sneak-attack someone. She can instantly appear anywhere within a 15m radius as long as the place she wants to go to is within view; soulstep cannot be used to move to a place behind her back.

    Strengths:

    • Ethereal - Kenna can pass through solid objects during this burst.


    Weaknesses:

    • If she dares look back during this spell she will lose the ability to pass through things, making it easy for her to run into something without her noticing in time.
    • Cannot use magic while using Soulstep, only once she has stopped moving and regained physical form. (Items can be used if they have been forged/drenched with her blood or contain Barbardium)

    Description: Kenna extends her hand and evokes a magic circle before her palm, where she gathers and forces the Ethereal element to come forth and take form. Once done, a massive square barrier is erected, covering a radius of up to 15 meters (goes up with 15m per rank) behind her and protecting any ally within the square from harm. In certain cases, the effect can be reverted so that the barrier closes around the attacker, cancelling their attack if it is of the same rank or keeping the damage within the barrier itself. Either way, a great deal of concentration is needed to upkeep the barrier, making it unable for Ageha to move from her current spot as long as the barrier is active.

    Strengths:

    • Can deflect any spell of the same rank as long as they're fired separately.
    • Weather of any kind is negated within the barrier as long as it stands.
    • Can take up to 3 spell-ranked spells or one higher-ranked spell in damage before the spell dissipates.

      Weaknesses:

      • One can penetrate the barrier by attacking from the ground.
      • Forcing the caster to move will instantly dispell the barrier.
      • If the spell lasts for more than one turn, the user is forced to remain stationary in order to keep it up.
      • This spell has one flaw; it has a weak spot, allowing it to be broken through when attacked. A 6-sided dice will be rolled; if it hits 4, the opponent will break through the barrier without it being able to defend. (This applies to all spells, including lower-ranked ones)
      • If another same-ranked Ethereal spell is used to attack the barrier, the barrier will take one hit and disappear.

    So in order to truly grasp what Barbardium is, and how it was integrated as a part of a select group of humans, we have to go back to its origins. How Barbardium become a legend, and how said legend became part of humanity. How it evolved and became the source of magic it is today.

    Barbardium, a holy metal of extreme toughness that is capable of holding souls. Said to be unbreakable when used by the right person, and of unknown origin; a metal so tough that not even the Great Devouring Three could absorb it without feeling the burnt of said sacrilegious act. Barbardium was first discovered in an age where Gods and Demons still walked Earthland among us mortals, held by the great Dragon King of the East Sea, Ao Guang. The Barbardium then had been refined into a mythical weapon, an omnipotent bo staff that had the ability to shrink, grow and expand as it wanted, and could carry an immense amount of weight, due to its own density, which made it incredibly heavy as well. It fell into the hands of the Monkey King Sun Wukong later on, who was the only one recognised by the staff, which was named Ruyi Jingu Bang. Sun Wukong wielded Ruyi Jingu Bang into battle against the Heavens, and even used it once Hell came to collect his soul, not willing to reincarnate. He defied Hell and wiped his name from the Book of Life and Death, as the names of all monkeys known to him. The Heavenly Kings and Jade Emperor, who were alerted of this matter, tried to trick the Monkey King, but Sun Wukong did not fall for it and waged war on them, defeat the entire forces of the Heavens. None could stop him until Buddha stepped in and was sealed for centuries. Given a chance at freedom by aiding a monk sent by Buddha, he joined the monk on its journey and protects him many times, at the end of the travels being granted Buddhahood as 'The Victorious Buddha'.

    It is at this pace that Sun Wukong gave Ruyi Jingu Bang to humanity, knowing he couldn't protect everyone all the time. He shattered the staff and gifted the shards that came from it to people he found worthy, while hiding the core body of his mythical weapon in an unknown location. The Shards of Ruyi were of the original Barbardium and thus fused with the chosen humans's hearts, down-grading the holy metal to its Divine Steel variant in order to be wielded by them. Stories tell that its true form could be awakened, but the restrictions for it were too impossible; "One had to sacrifice their life in exchange for nothing, and when passing on Death's territory repeat the crimes of the Monkey King and scheme against Hell to reclaim their soul." If anyone could do that, the power would first erase the traces of its down-graded predecessor from the wielder's body, to then use the energy from said process and the user's retrieved soul to rekindle the Barbardium's true strength.

    Kenna is one of those few descendants; a rare offspring that was found worthy by the Monkey King to receive a Barbardium shard upon birth. Kenna in particular already had an unknown birth-rightly affinity to Ether essence, having inherited both the Celestial genes and thus their power from her mother's blood, as well as the Demonic genes containing the Chthonian element from her father's heritage. Only due to the fact that these powers got usurped and suppressed by the sealed Barbardium didn't they exert their presence within her magic, up until the moment she died. The magic got released when Kenna withstood Death and reclaimed her soul, overflowing her body with Ether essence that overwrote her old magic with that of the Ethereal Manipulation and the awakened Barbardium, creating the very first Etherborn to walk the Earth again after a 1000 years. Through her Barbardium, which was riddled with souls, and the help of her Ethereal Manipulation, Kenna can now converse with the dead and their souls, or in some cases use them as fuel for her spells, yet usually sticks with using the ether essence or Barbardium seperately. In some cases both can be combined into one more potent spell.




    Strengths:

    • Due to Nether and Aether being present within the Ethereal Manipulation, Kenna will deal more damage to those that harness Nether and/or Aether Manipulation in any way, dealing 1.5x more damage when using spells of the Ethereal or Ether sort.
    • Through Soul Manipulation can converse and use the souls of the dead in and outside battle.
    • This magic gives her a physical superiority over others regarding raw strength, and makes it easier to take hits of higher-ranked spells without getting stunned or thrown back.


    Weaknesses:

    • Cannot lift a hand against those who carry the Monkey King's Descent lineage with this magic ever.
    • Due to the Nether and Aether elements being present within the Ethereal Manipulation, Kenna will get more damage from those that harness Nether or Aether Manipulation in any way, getting 1.5x more damage from said spells.
    • Barbardium can be eaten by Slayers that hold the light/holy or steel element, as it is a holy metal.
    • Kenna is more susceptible to mind effecting spells, making it hard for her to maintain the right balance of mind that is needed to use the magic.


    Lineage:
    Gingerbread Man:

    Gingerbread Man
    Description: "Run and run as fast as you can. You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man."
    Know the story of the Gingerbread Man? That obnoxious little dough stain that always runs faster than anyone else, running so fast that no matter how fast people try to run, they can never catch him. Until one man caught him of course. In a confrontation with this little prankish devil after a promise to the people to take him down, this man, whose name faded from history, chased him down for 7 years, 7 months and 7 days, around the world and through time and space, until one day, he did the impossible and caught the little guy purely based on his own speed, rather than relying on the cunning that the fox in the classic utilized. The tremendous feat that broke the impossible resulted in the creation of a legend and the power behind this legend gave those of this man's blood supernatural agility and speed, but with a twist. Reenacting the chase that gave them this power, users of this ability have Absolute Speed.
    "Run and run as fast as you can. You can't escape me, I'm the Gingerbread Man."
    Ability: Absolute Speed, the world's most powerful speed ability. It is an ability not based on adding just raw speed to the user, but on comparing the user's speed against the speed of the opponent the user is fighting. As a result when this ability is active, no matter the speed or reflexes of the opponent, the gingerbread man user is always faster. ALWAYS. Not even light-speed can keep up, but being able to exceed it would depend on the rank of the user. When used, the spell adds the speed of the fastest opponent/projectile in the field to their own, making them always dominant in the speed factor but has no effect if nothing is moving.
    Usage: Moving so fast however may break one's body, especially when the opponent is much faster than your base speed. Thus, the limit for users is 2 uses per thread, lasting 1 post each, with 6 post cool down. The user's rank also limits the max speed their still human bodies can take, with bullet-speed (1200 m/s) as the limit for C-rank and below, Mach 100(34000 m/s) for B-rank, lightning(6000 km/s) for A-rank and light(300,000 km/s) for S-rank or higher.
    The user is reduced in speed by 50% after using this and feels exhausted,  both for 5 posts (reducing by 10% per post)



    Unique Abilities:

    • Underworld Lordship - Kali Yuga (domain) || Having challenged and defeated Death in his own game, Kenna's been allowed to reclaim her soul and has been awarded this unique passive ability. 'Underworld Lordship - Kali Yuga' allows her to call upon the souls of other deceased and command them without fail through her Barbardium heart; as thus, other soul-based users, and even soul slayers aren't able to absorb the souls she commands within a 15 meter perimeter of any Barbardium of her making. This includes herself, as her heart contains Barbardium as well. This perimeter grows by 5 meters per rank above D.

    • Transcended Strength || A passive granted through the Ethereal essences in this magic. In order to perfectly handle Barbardium, which weight and density cannot be overthrown. Although Kenna's body is still as mortal as can be, the Ether essence grants her strength to surpass the mortal limits and transcend to that of myths. At D-rank she can handle up to 500kg without even batting an eye, with the weight she can handle tripling every time she ranks up. This insane amount of power can only be felt by others during physical and melee combat. Melee attacks do 50% more damage to people of the same rank, 25% to any higher ranked and 75% to those of lower rank, and are otherwise used for cosmetic purposes.

    • Unyielding Spirit || A passive ability that enhances the durability of all defensive spells, allowing Kenna to defend against spells that are one rank higher than hers or allow her to take one extra hit of a same-ranked spell. Eg. One D-rank spell can defend against 1 C-rank spell, or 3 D-rank spells. (Has a three turn cooldown per use when used to defend against a spell one rank higher than hers.)

    Description: Oro Kara is a defensive counter that is fuelled by her own strength and transcended to a new level by the Ether essence, allowing her body to become sturdy enough to withstand the power of any physical attack that’s coming her way. Once the magic circle appears underneath Kenna, her attacker’s momentum is stopped, after which an aura flares up and blasts them back from whence they came. This spell doesn’t do any damage by itself, yet damage can be sustained from the power released during the forced stop of their momentum. Due to this, anyone regardless of rank can have their momentum ceased, yet the chances of higher ranked opponents receiving damage from this impact is considerably less, or even not present than for those of higher rank. Anyone of lower or equal rank will be blown back 5 meters and get full spell-rank damage, while those of one rank higher will get only half spell-ranked damage and no knock-back.

    Strengths:

    • Anyone who attacks her physically will have their momentum stopped; up until her own rank, but regardless of their strength or weight.
    • Can counter multiple opponents as long as they attack her physically.


    Weaknesses:

    • Oro Kara needs Kenna to stay stationary in order to succeed.
    • The attackers gets their momentum stopped and are blown back, but Kenna still takes the damage from these attacks.
    • It’s a physical counter, meaning that whatever Kenna is countering needs to be touched, otherwise this spell will have no use.
    • The spell itself doesn’t do the damage, rather the explosion does when their momentum is stopped.
    • Higher ranked mages will not be affected by the knock-back blast.

    Description: Placing the sheathed sword upright and listening to the "breath" of his opponent, the attacker rapidly unsheathes, attacks, and resheathes the sword. With the magic circle appearing around the swords guard, as soon as the sword is drawn. An interesting note is that Kenna does does not need to actually hold a sword in order to use this spell; she can just manifest the Barbardium within mere moments of the actual strike to attack with.’Unsheathing’ would then be the actual manifestation of the Barbardium sword, whereas the resheathing would be the dispersing of the metal into orbs of magic.



    When in dire need, Kenna can even call upon the Ether essence to reinforce her magic into a pure ethernano sword, which engulfes her own arm as medium, to do this spell. When having to resort to this last thing however, Kenna will alter the stance and movement, having her weapon already ‘unsheathed’ and at the ready beside her by stretching her arm. With using her arm as a medium for the strengthening ethernano, Kenna is more vulnerable to higher ranked attacks and spells, with a high probability of her breaking her arm or sustaining heavy damage as a result.

    Strengths:

    • Can be done with either an actual sword, a Barbardium sword or as pure concentrated magic around her arm, making it a versatile spell.


    Weaknesses:

    • Can only be used on one opponent at a time.
    • When using her arm as a medium, Kenna could sustain heavier damage when used to counter spells of two or more ranks higher than her.



    Corrupted Barbardium Fist:

    Description: A devastating blow, fuelled by the beginning corruption of Kenna’s Barbardium through her demonic genes. Odd glowing runes appear upon her skin and circle up her lower arms, initiating the demonic state of her body, leaving her unable to control her magic until the corruption ceases. Instead of otherwise channelling but a small portion of her magic into her fists, her magic is haywired and forced out when the blow hits, dealing an irregular amount of damage that seeps through both the outer and inner defensive layers of the body. Her victim -if hit- will find themselves into an enormous amount of pain and unable to act properly (reduced reaction speed) due to the internal damage taken. Once struck, the foe is dealt 175% D-rank damage on impact, and with it causes severe internal damage; both internal bleedings and fractures, depending on where the opponent was hit.

    Due to this spell being fueled by her demonic genes, Demon Slayers will be more resistant to this attack, thus only getting the regular amount of D-rank damage if it were to hit. The demonic genes gladly corrupt Kenna’s body when getting fueled with the blood of her comrades; if she were to hit an ally, her demonic unconscious will become sated, enjoying the blood of the comrade they spilled, and makes it take longer for Kenna to be mentally prepared to use this spell again.

    Strengths:

    • Causes severe internal damage; both internal bleedings and fractures, depending on where the opponent was hit.
    • Does 175% D-rank damage.
    • If blocked with a D-rank spell it will still deal the ulterior 75% damage to the opponent, but will not cause any internal damage.

    Weaknesses:

    • Cannot be buffed by any spell.
    • Will cause the spell to backfire when blocked with a higher-ranked spell, dealing 75% D-rank damage back to the user.
    • If this spell is used upon a Demon Slayer and hits, they will only get regular D-rank damage dealt instead of the elevated 175% D-rank damage.
    • If the spell were to be deflected and used upon an ally, Kenna will corrupt even more, doubling the cooldown of this spell.

    Description: A simple spell that doesn’t need the name to be spoken, or a visible magic circle to have appeared in order to be evoked. Kenna, as one reborn within the essence of Ether, merely has to think about this spell for it to happen. The ethereal essence gathers within Kenna and slowly starts strengthening her body, getting stronger as time passes until she transcends for a short moment, which is indicated by the aura that engulfs her. This buff enhances the capabilities and limits of the human body for 3 posts, allowing for a small enhancement of speed and strength at the beginning till a full transcending takes place during the last post two posts. Kenna can choose to channel the essence towards allies within a 10 meter radius, who then benefit from it too.

    The effects of this buff hold a 15% increase in all close-combat and physical spells, and grow with an additional 10% every post, capping at 25%. Any buff will be negated when this one is in effect; if another buff is already in effect it will be overridden and negated by this one. The Ether essence itself will not allow medium or long range spells to be used, as these will spread the buff and dispel it. This doesn’t mean they cannot be used however; but if they are used when by a person is affected by this buff, said attack or spell will only do half the damage as compensation. To maintain the balance of one's body however, those under influence have their defense decreased by the same amount that their speed and strength have been elevated.
    Strengths:

    • The user(s)’s strength and speed are increased with 15% during the first post, and gains +10% more the next, capping out at 25%, keeping that bonus until for 3 posts.
    • Can be shared with all allies within a 10 meter radius.


    Weaknesses:

    • This spell is automatically dispelled if they still use a medium or long range spell were to be used.
    • Once any other spell or technique that isn’t considered close-range is used, aside from the buff wearing off instantly, their fired spell/attack will only do half the damage.
    • When this spell is active, no buffs can be received or given.
    • Buffs that are already in progress or received will be negated upon this spell’s activation.

    Description: The Chimimoryo are malevolent spirits that haunt Earthland's rivers and mountains, preying on the souls of both the living and the dead. Kenna is able to assert dominion over them through her Underworld Domain and Ethereal essence, thus being able to call upon her Heavenly Supremacy over the evil spirits and command them to attack her enemies with but a simple flick of her fingers. The magic circle spawns about a decent 3 meters in width and appears right before Kenna, shining brightly before the souls appear from nearly everywhere. When they collide with people they will push them back in their flurry, while the weaker undead creatures are struck down, their bodies returned to ashes and their souls caught within the Barbardium heart she wears. Undead or those defying death in any way will get 125% spell-ranked damage, while living creatures only get 75% spell-ranked damage.

    Strengths:

    • Are long-range and can attack several targets at once.
    • Weak Undead, Undead monsters, or creatures related to Death can be converted to souls for Kenna's Kali Yuga realm.
    • Does 125% spell-ranked damage to undead, revived or creatures that defy Death.


    Weaknesses:

    • Due to the massive AoE of this spell, the chance of getting hit diminishes the further away the target is.
    • It will first and foremost target the Undead, making it so that the spell may ignore living targets if undead are present.
    • Once the spell has been cast, the spirit's paths cannot be altered.
    • Although spirits, they can cause significant damage in and to 'holy' places due to their malevolent nature.

    This magic has an origin so rare that the amount of magi having ever wielded this do not pass the number of 100, even though it has already existed for millennia. The most important source for this magic to take form is Barbardium, and the myths that surround its shrouded existence, as well as an affinity to the essence that runs throughout all of existence; Ether, to gain the power of Ethereal Manipulation through it. Some gain this rare honor through birthright, others through centuries of devout training, and the select few; those who get chosen by the essence themselves. The lucky Chosen Ones blessed by Creation itself.

    So in order to truly grasp what Barbardium is, and how it was integrated as a part of a select group of humans, we have to go back to its origins. How Barbardium become a legend, and how said legend became part of humanity. How it evolved and became the source of magic it is today.

    Barbardium, a holy metal of extreme toughness that is capable of holding souls. Said to be unbreakable when used by the right person, and of unknown origin; a metal so tough that not even the Great Devouring Three could absorb it without feeling the burnt of said sacrilegious act. Barbardium was first discovered in an age where Gods and Demons still walked Earthland among us mortals, held by the great Dragon King of the East Sea, Ao Guang. The Barbardium then had been refined into a mythical weapon, an omnipotent bo staff that had the ability to shrink, grow and expand as it wanted, and could carry an immense amount of weight, due to its own density, which made it incredibly heavy as well. It fell into the hands of the Monkey King Sun Wukong later on, who was the only one recognised by the staff, which was named Ruyi Jingu Bang. Sun Wukong wielded Ruyi Jingu Bang into battle against the Heavens, and even used it once Hell came to collect his soul, not willing to reincarnate. He defied Hell and wiped his name from the Book of Life and Death, as the names of all monkeys known to him. The Heavenly Kings and Jade Emperor, who were alerted of this matter, tried to trick the Monkey King, but Sun Wukong did not fall for it and waged war on them, defeat the entire forces of the Heavens. None could stop him until Buddha stepped in and was sealed for centuries. Given a chance at freedom by aiding a monk sent by Buddha, he joined the monk on its journey and protects him many times, at the end of the travels being granted Buddhahood as 'The Victorious Buddha'.

    It is at this pace that Sun Wukong gave Ruyi Jingu Bang to humanity, knowing he couldn't protect everyone all the time. He shattered the staff and gifted the shards that came from it to people he found worthy, while hiding the core body of his mythical weapon in an unknown location. The Shards of Ruyi were of the original Barbardium and thus fused with the chosen humans's hearts, down-grading the holy metal to its Divine Steel variant in order to be wielded by them. Stories tell that its true form could be awakened, but the restrictions for it were too impossible; "One had to sacrifice their life in exchange for nothing, and when passing on Death's territory repeat the crimes of the Monkey King and scheme against Hell to reclaim their soul." If anyone could do that, the power would first erase the traces of its down-graded predecessor from the wielder's body, to then use the energy from said process and the user's retrieved soul to rekindle the Barbardium's true strength.

    Kenna is one of those few descendants; a rare offspring that was found worthy by the Monkey King to receive a Barbardium shard upon birth. Kenna in particular already had an unknown birth-rightly affinity to Ether essence, having inherited both the Celestial genes and thus their power from her mother's blood, as well as the Demonic genes containing the Chthonian element from her father's heritage. Only due to the fact that these powers got usurped and suppressed by the sealed Barbardium didn't they exert their presence within her magic, up until the moment she died. The magic got released when Kenna withstood Death and reclaimed her soul, overflowing her body with Ether essence that overwrote her old magic with that of the Ethereal Manipulation and the awakened Barbardium, creating the very first Etherborn to walk the Earth again after a 1000 years. Through her Barbardium, which was riddled with souls, and the help of her Ethereal Manipulation, Kenna can now converse with the dead and their souls, or in some cases use them as fuel for her spells, yet usually sticks with using the ether essence or Barbardium seperately. In some cases both can be combined into one more potent spell.




    Strengths:

    • Due to Nether and Aether being present within the Ethereal Manipulation, Kenna will deal more damage to those that harness Nether and/or Aether Manipulation in any way, dealing 1.5x more damage when using spells of the Ethereal or Ether sort.
    • Through Soul Manipulation can converse and use the souls of the dead in and outside battle.
    • This magic gives her a physical superiority over others regarding raw strength, and makes it easier to take hits of higher-ranked spells without getting stunned or thrown back.


    Weaknesses:

    • Cannot lift a hand against those who carry the Monkey King's Descent lineage with this magic ever.
    • Due to the Nether and Aether elements being present within the Ethereal Manipulation, Kenna will get more damage from those that harness Nether or Aether Manipulation in any way, getting 1.5x more damage from said spells.
    • Barbardium can be eaten by Slayers that hold the light/holy or steel element, as it is a holy metal.
    • Kenna is more susceptible to mind effecting spells, making it hard for her to maintain the right balance of mind that is needed to use the magic.

    Know the story of the Gingerbread Man? That obnoxious little dough stain that always runs faster than anyone else, running so fast that no matter how fast people try to run, they can never catch him. Until one man caught him of course. In a confrontation with this little prankish devil after a promise to the people to take him down, this man, whose name faded from history, chased him down for 7 years, 7 months and 7 days, around the world and through time and space, until one day, he did the impossible and caught the little guy purely based on his own speed, rather than relying on the cunning that the fox in the classic utilized. The tremendous feat that broke the impossible resulted in the creation of a legend and the power behind this legend gave those of this man's blood supernatural agility and speed, but with a twist. Reenacting the chase that gave them this power, users of this ability have Absolute Speed.
    "Run and run as fast as you can. You can't escape me, I'm the Gingerbread Man."
    Ability: Absolute Speed, the world's most powerful speed ability. It is an ability not based on adding just raw speed to the user, but on comparing the user's speed against the speed of the opponent the user is fighting. As a result when this ability is active, no matter the speed or reflexes of the opponent, the gingerbread man user is always faster. ALWAYS. Not even light-speed can keep up, but being able to exceed it would depend on the rank of the user. When used, the spell adds the speed of the fastest opponent/projectile in the field to their own, making them always dominant in the speed factor but has no effect if nothing is moving.
    Usage: Moving so fast however may break one's body, especially when the opponent is much faster than your base speed. Thus, the limit for users is 2 uses per thread, lasting 1 post each, with 6 post cool down. The user's rank also limits the max speed their still human bodies can take, with bullet-speed (1200 m/s) as the limit for C-rank and below, Mach 100(34000 m/s) for B-rank, lightning(6000 km/s) for A-rank and light(300,000 km/s) for S-rank or higher.
    The user is reduced in speed by 50% after using this and feels exhausted,  both for 5 posts (reducing by 10% per post)



    Unique Abilities:

    • Underworld Lordship - Kali Yuga (domain) || Having challenged and defeated Death in his own game, Kenna's been allowed to reclaim her soul and has been awarded this unique passive ability. 'Underworld Lordship - Kali Yuga' allows her to call upon the souls of other deceased and command them without fail through her Barbardium heart; as thus, other soul-based users, and even soul slayers aren't able to absorb the souls she commands within a 15 meter perimeter of any Barbardium of her making. This includes herself, as her heart contains Barbardium as well. This perimeter grows by 5 meters per rank above D.

    • Transcended Strength || A passive granted through the Ethereal essences in this magic. In order to perfectly handle Barbardium, which weight and density cannot be overthrown. Although Kenna's body is still as mortal as can be, the Ether essence grants her strength to surpass the mortal limits and transcend to that of myths. At D-rank she can handle up to 500kg without even batting an eye, with the weight she can handle tripling every time she ranks up. This insane amount of power can only be felt by others during physical and melee combat. Melee attacks do 50% more damage to people of the same rank, 25% to any higher ranked and 75% to those of lower rank, and are otherwise used for cosmetic purposes.

    • Unyielding Spirit || A passive ability that enhances the durability of all defensive spells, allowing Kenna to defend against spells that are one rank higher than hers or allow her to take one extra hit of a same-ranked spell. Eg. One D-rank spell can defend against 1 C-rank spell, or 3 D-rank spells. (Has a three turn cooldown per use when used to defend against a spell one rank higher than hers.)

    • Ethereal Synchronisation || Having gotten accustomed to the flow of ethereal energy through her veins, the magic has started developing Kenna's body to gain a defensive layer, allowing her a passive damage resistance of 35%. This passive resistance takes the form of an ethereal projection, making it look like she suddenly wears a metallic armor; similarly her left eye looks like it's flaring up with blue ethereal energy, while her dark hair turns into a ghastly silver color.

    Description: A strong burst of ethereal energy assaults the hypocampus within one's brain, stimulating it into sending the feeling of an intense sensation of fear to paralyse her opponents. Cosmetically; when this spell activates the clouds seem to gather above the area, shrouding a large area from the sun as if a storm is brewing. The clouds then burst open as the magic circle becomes visible; within Kenna's palm a small orb appears, in which she holds the energy manipulation the hypocampus. Anyone within a 10m range is subjected to the spell, unless of higher rank.


    Strengths:

    • Fearful - The targets will get paralysed for one post, and if still being haunted for by fears, see their greatest fear become reality in an illusion only visible to themselves.
    • Outside of battle this will be successful on any NPC and player (with permission of player themselves).


    Weaknesses:

    • Those of higher rank will only stuck to their place for a mere fraction of a second before being able to move again.
    • Those without any type of fear will remain pinned to the ground, but can still move their upper body around while paralysed.
    • Will cause both foes and allies to see their greatest fear as an illusion, whether they are paralysed by it or not



    Ethereal Healing:

    Description: A minuscule magic symbol appears within her irises as she stretches out her hand and gently blows into her palm, converting the ethereal energy into healing-based ethernano. To the naked eye it looks like multi-fluorescent dust that appears out of nowhere and is blown their way; those who bask in the dust can feel their vigour returning and their quelling ailments disappear. Out of battle this dust even has the power to return life to the departed, or heal otherwise mortal wounds.


    Strengths:

    • Cleansing - The user either get themselves or an ally healed for D-rank's worth of damage, or can cleanse themselves or any ally from status effects.


    Weaknesses:

    • If used on an ally, they must be within a 3 meter range for the spell to have effect.
    • As it is considered holy magic, any light or holy slayer can consume this spell and gain the healing or cleansing effects for themselves.


    Detonating Clone:

    Description: A large magic circle appears in Kenna's near vicinity, from which an exact duplicate of herself appears. This clone looks and senses like any it could be the actual body to any other person; making it great for sudden switches or decoys. The clone remains silent and doesn't speak, yet follows the chosen target everywhere (unless the user had no specific target in mind, in which case it just wanders around aimlessly), as if it were a homing missile. Be it a homing missile at walking speed. The only difference is the fact that after a duration of one post, this clone explodes; the explosion powerful enough to leave a 10m by 10m crater where it detonates. Kenna can defuse the detonation by touching the clone, after which it becomes a regular, mind-controled clone.


    Strengths:

    • Will detonate after one post, leaving an large crater in its wake.
    • Only Kenna can touch the clone without it detonating; similarly it will not detonate as long as Kenna is within range.


    Weaknesses:

    • The clone will explode upon touch; be this the actual target or a random object flung at it.
    • The clone is mind-controled and moves wherever the user's mind directs it to.
    • This clone moves at walking speed; it cannot run unless its speed is buffed.

    Name: Corrupted Barbardium Fist

    Description: A devastating blow, fuelled by the beginning corruption of Kenna’s Barbardium through her demonic genes. Odd glowing runes appear upon her skin and circle up her lower arms, initiating the demonic state of her body, leaving her unable to control her magic until the corruption ceases. Instead of otherwise channelling but a small portion of her magic into her fists, her magic is haywired and forced out when the blow hits, dealing an irregular amount of damage that seeps through both the outer and inner defensive layers of the body. Her victim -if hit- will find themselves into an enormous amount of pain and unable to act properly (reduced reaction speed) due to the internal damage taken. Once struck, the foe is dealt 175% C-rank damage on impact, and with it causes severe internal damage; both internal bleedings and fractures, depending on where the opponent was hit.

    Due to this spell being fueled by her demonic genes, Demon Slayers will be more resistant to this attack, thus only getting the regular amount of C-rank damage if it were to hit. The demonic genes gladly corrupt Kenna’s body when getting fueled with the blood of her comrades; if she were to hit an ally, her demonic unconscious will become sated, enjoying the blood of the comrade they spilled, and makes it take longer for Kenna to be mentally prepared to use this spell again.

    Strengths:

    • Causes severe internal damage; both internal bleedings and fractures, depending on where the opponent was hit.
    • Does 175% C-rank damage.
    • If blocked with a C-rank spell it will still deal the ulterior 75% damage to the opponent, but will not cause any internal damage.

    Weaknesses:

    • Cannot be buffed by any spell.
    • Will cause the spell to backfire when blocked with a higher-ranked spell, dealing 75% C-rank damage back to the user.
    • If this spell is used upon a Demon Slayer and hits, they will only get regular C-rank damage dealt instead of the elevated 175% C-rank damage.
    • If the spell were to be deflected and used upon an ally, Kenna will corrupt even more, doubling the cooldown of this spell.

    Forbidden Summoning - Minos, Judge of Hell:


    Name: Forbidden Summoning - Minos, Judge of Hell
    Rank: C
    Type: Summoning || Barbardium
    Duration: 2 to 5 turns
    Cooldown: 6 turns
    Description: Minos, one of the three kings of hell that judge the deceased souls's fates within the Underworld, has finally heard the call of his new master. He had not expected to find one with the authority to boss him around, yet was accidently summoned to this world through Kenna's soul realm when it connected with the Underworld. Minos dons an armor made of Kenna's Barbardium, adorned with majestic large wings, yet isn't worn down by the weight of it. He moves about freely when summoned, able to think for himself, and loves using his active ability to showcase an epic entry whenever he is summoned.

    Minos can take as much damage as a regular summon before being called back to his true plane of existence. Dependent on the amount of time he stays within the realm of his summoner, Minos can be allowed to return sooner if he didn't remain the full period of time. Like any regular summon, after having used his 'ability', Minos can still use his fists to fight.

    Active Ability - Gigantic Feather Flap: Minos kicks up a powerful cutting wind with his mighty wings, deflecting any projectiles up till C-rank with the wind's force.

    Passive Ability - Flight: Minos can use his large wings to actively fly when summoned; being able to carry up to three people of regular size, or up to 5 child-sized people. He flies at a C-ranks running speed when alone or only carrying one person, but has his speed reduced to 1/3 of that speed when carrying 2 or more.

    Strengths:

    • Watch out; Hot! - He has a naturally strong pheromone, making others more attracted to him, and less likely to attack him as long as he leaves them alone. (If this is towards players, OoC permission is needed)

    Weaknesses:

    • Can only remain within the realm he was summoned for a set amount of time.
    • If an ally accidently hits Minos, the ulterior melee damage will be dealt to them as well.
    • Takes one post to complete the summon; the user however can move around freely when doing so.


    Sekishiki Tenryu Ha (Praescepe Celestial Spirit March):


    Name: Sekishiki Tenryu Ha (Praescepe Celestial Spirit March)

    Description: Kenna embraces her mastery over her Underworld Domain and calls upon the souls of the departed, which she caries with her. Usually through a medium connected with these souls (like a Barbardium or soul-infused weapon), but also capable of being used by using her body as a medium, waves of ethernano surge around her visibly while a portal opens up above her. All the souls heading her call emerge from the portal as blueish wisps, and gather around Kenna; the souls of those that are connected to her life and of which she caries their will, appear beside her as an illusionary army. As they stand, Kenna can opt to either charge the spell or fire it immediately.

    In case of immediate fire; all souls will immediately gather into the sphere that gathered above her. The illusions flare up with a blue hue and ascend to become one with the sphere, making it grow 10m in size. Kenna then extends her arm and guides the sphere towards her enemies by flinging it their way; anyone within the sphere's way will get 100% C-rank damage. The sphere can travel up to 30m in a straight line.

    In case of charging the spell; more and more souls will emerge from the portal and form a large blue-hued sphere meters above Kenna, growing considerable in size. After one post the sphere will have grown 15m in size, and will be capable of doing 150% C-rank damage. After two posts of charging successfully, the sphere will be 25m in size, Kenna will be able to add her own soul to the fray at a cost of 5% of her total health, allowing this spell to break through a B-rank defensive spell while dealing 125% C-rank damage.

    Strengths:

    • Ultimate Strength - If Kenna can charge the attack for two posts straight, she'll be able to break through a defensive spell one rank higher than this spell's rank by adding her soul to the attack.

    Weaknesses:

    • If Kenna initiates the charge, she is forced to remain stationary until the moment she's ready to unleash the spell's devastating force.
    • One can disrupt the charging by attacking Kenna and throwing her off balance; this will not dispell the attack but instead have it be fired at the stage she had already passed.
    • Ultimate Strength's Drawback; the strain of adding one's soul to the attack shows through the damage Kenna sustains. (5% of her max health)
    • Once thrown the sphere can only follow the direction it has been thrown in.




    Piercing Rain:


    Name: Piercing Rain

    Type: Barbardium || AoE
    Duration: 1 turn

    Description: A simple AoE attack spell where Kenna backflips and summons a bow and three arrows to her side; she aims and remains stationary as a magic circle appears in front of the arrow tips. Volley upon volley of Barbardium arrows are shot unto the enemies within a 20m to 25m radius; all who were caught within the volley are dealt C-rank worth of damage. This spell can also be done when remaining on the ground; Kenna will kneel and aim the arrows towards the sky, which will then rain down upon her foes within a 20m to 25m radius.

    Strengths:

    • This spell can be used while airborn, as well on the ground and can hit multiple foes at once.


    Weaknesses:

    • When airborn, Kenna is an easy target for ranged attacks.
    • The spell can be disrupted if Kenna is thrown off-balance during the shooting.




    Etherborn's Hail:


    Name: Etherborn's Hail

    Description: A complicated spell known for it's ability to be used either offensive or defensive. Both modes start off as Kenna erecting a complicated diagram of multiple magic circles in a crescent bow before her; she then speaks the mode she wishes to use before the spell is activated.

    Offensive Mode; The magic circles light up all at once and send out volleys of pure Barbardium spikes towards anyone in a 25m cone-shaped radius, dealing C-rank worth of damage to anyone caught up in the volley.

    Defensive Mode; All magic circles connect and from a large dome of ethereal magic over herself and possible allies, spawning a 25m in width. This dome can take up to 3 times it spell rank in damage before it crumbles.

    Strengths:

    • Multi-usage - Can be used either offensive or defensive, dependent on the situation the caster is in; the mode in which it will be used must be spoken in order to be changed however.
    • This spell is capable of taking up to 3 c-rank spells, or one B-rank spell worth of damage before collapsing.


    Weaknesses:

    • if the mode isn't spoken, the spell will automatically take the offensive form.
    • Once the magic circle diagram has been cast, it cannot be moved; meaning that moving targets can easily get out of its offensive shooting range.
    • The dome does not defend against underground attacks.
    • Enemies can still infiltrate the defensive barrier if they can dig their way into it from underground (if the ground can be dug through).

    Description: Kenna lets every single vibre of her veins be overrun with the ethereal element of her magic, becoming temporarily one with the universe, boosting her speed to limits she had never dared reaching. A downside to it is that her body becomes ethereal; handy for passing through whatever solid matter she wants, but not when wanting to sneak-attack someone. She can instantly appear anywhere within a 15m radius as long as the place she wants to go to is within view; soulstep cannot be used to move to a place behind her back.

    Strengths:

    • Ethereal - Kenna can pass through solid objects during this burst.


    Weaknesses:

    • If she dares look back during this spell she will lose the ability to pass through things, making it easy for her to run into something without her noticing in time.
    • Cannot use magic while using Soulstep, only once she has stopped moving and regained physical form. (Items can be used if they have been forged/drenched with her blood or contain Barbardium)


    User-ranked Signature Spell || Ethereal Wall:


    Name: Ethereal Wall

    Description: Kenna extends her hand and evokes a magic circle before her palm, where she gathers and forces the Ethereal element to come forth and take form. Once done, a massive square barrier is erected, covering a radius of up to 15 meters (goes up with 15m per rank) behind her and protecting any ally within the square from harm. In certain cases, the effect can be reverted so that the barrier closes around the attacker, cancelling their attack if it is of the same rank or keeping the damage within the barrier itself. Either way, a great deal of concentration is needed to upkeep the barrier, making it unable for Ageha to move from her current spot as long as the barrier is active.

    Strengths:

    • Can deflect any spell of the same rank as long as they're fired separately.
    • Weather of any kind is negated within the barrier as long as it stands.
    • Can take up to 3 spell-ranked spells or one higher-ranked spell in damage before the spell dissipates.

      Weaknesses:

      • One can penetrate the barrier by attacking from the ground.
      • Forcing the caster to move will instantly dispell the barrier.
      • If the spell lasts for more than one turn, the user is forced to remain stationary in order to keep it up.
      • This spell has one flaw; it has a weak spot, allowing it to be broken through when attacked. A 6-sided dice will be rolled; if it hits 4, the opponent will break through the barrier without it being able to defend. (This applies to all spells, including lower-ranked ones)
      • If another same-ranked Ethereal spell is used to attack the barrier, the barrier will take one hit and disappear.

The most important source for this magic to take form is Barbardium, and the myths that surround its shrouded existence, as well as an affinity to the essence that runs throughout all of existence; Ether, to gain the power of Ethereal Manipulation through it. Some gain this rare honor through birthright, others through centuries of devout training, and the select few; those who get chosen by the essence themselves. The lucky Chosen Ones blessed by Creation itself.

    So in order to truly grasp what Barbardium is, and how it was integrated as a part of a select group of humans, we have to go back to its origins. How Barbardium become a legend, and how said legend became part of humanity. How it evolved and became the source of magic it is today.

    Barbardium, a holy metal of extreme toughness that is capable of holding souls. Said to be unbreakable when used by the right person, and of unknown origin; a metal so tough that not even the Great Devouring Three could absorb it without feeling the burnt of said sacrilegious act. Barbardium was first discovered in an age where Gods and Demons still walked Earthland among us mortals, held by the great Dragon King of the East Sea, Ao Guang. The Barbardium then had been refined into a mythical weapon, an omnipotent bo staff that had the ability to shrink, grow and expand as it wanted, and could carry an immense amount of weight, due to its own density, which made it incredibly heavy as well. It fell into the hands of the Monkey King Sun Wukong later on, who was the only one recognised by the staff, which was named Ruyi Jingu Bang. Sun Wukong wielded Ruyi Jingu Bang into battle against the Heavens, and even used it once Hell came to collect his soul, not willing to reincarnate. He defied Hell and wiped his name from the Book of Life and Death, as the names of all monkeys known to him. The Heavenly Kings and Jade Emperor, who were alerted of this matter, tried to trick the Monkey King, but Sun Wukong did not fall for it and waged war on them, defeat the entire forces of the Heavens. None could stop him until Buddha stepped in and was sealed for centuries. Given a chance at freedom by aiding a monk sent by Buddha, he joined the monk on its journey and protects him many times, at the end of the travels being granted Buddhahood as 'The Victorious Buddha'.

    It is at this pace that Sun Wukong gave Ruyi Jingu Bang to humanity, knowing he couldn't protect everyone all the time. He shattered the staff and gifted the shards that came from it to people he found worthy, while hiding the core body of his mythical weapon in an unknown location. The Shards of Ruyi were of the original Barbardium and thus fused with the chosen humans's hearts, down-grading the holy metal to its Divine Steel variant in order to be wielded by them. Stories tell that its true form could be awakened, but the restrictions for it were too impossible; "One had to sacrifice their life in exchange for nothing, and when passing on Death's territory repeat the crimes of the Monkey King and scheme against Hell to reclaim their soul." If anyone could do that, the power would first erase the traces of its down-graded predecessor from the wielder's body, to then use the energy from said process and the user's retrieved soul to rekindle the Barbardium's true strength.

    Kenna is one of those few descendants; a rare offspring that was found worthy by the Monkey King to receive a Barbardium shard upon birth. Kenna in particular already had an unknown birth-rightly affinity to Ether essence, having inherited both the Celestial genes and thus their power from her mother's blood, as well as the Demonic genes containing the Chthonian element from her father's heritage. Only due to the fact that these powers got usurped and suppressed by the sealed Barbardium didn't they exert their presence within her magic, up until the moment she died. The magic got released when Kenna withstood Death and reclaimed her soul, overflowing her body with Ether essence that overwrote her old magic with that of the Ethereal Manipulation and the awakened Barbardium, creating the very first Etherborn to walk the Earth again after a 1000 years. Through her Barbardium, which was riddled with souls, and the help of her Ethereal Manipulation, Kenna can now converse with the dead and their souls, or in some cases use them as fuel for her spells, yet usually sticks with using the ether essence or Barbardium seperately. In some cases both can be combined into one more potent spell.




    Strengths:

    • Due to Nether and Aether being present within the Ethereal Manipulation, Kenna will deal more damage to those that harness Nether and/or Aether Manipulation in any way, dealing 1.5x more damage when using spells of the Ethereal or Ether sort.
    • Through Soul Manipulation can converse and use the souls of the dead in and outside battle.
    • This magic gives her a physical superiority over others regarding raw strength, and makes it easier to take hits of higher-ranked spells without getting stunned or thrown back.


    Weaknesses:

    • Cannot lift a hand against those who carry the Monkey King's Descent lineage with this magic ever.
    • Due to the Nether and Aether elements being present within the Ethereal Manipulation, Kenna will get more damage from those that harness Nether or Aether Manipulation in any way, getting 1.5x more damage from said spells.
    • Barbardium can be eaten by Slayers that hold the light/holy or steel element, as it is a holy metal.
    • Kenna is more susceptible to mind effecting spells, making it hard for her to maintain the right balance of mind that is needed to use the magic.


    Lineage:
    Gingerbread Man:

    Gingerbread Man
    Description: "Run and run as fast as you can. You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man."
    Know the story of the Gingerbread Man? That obnoxious little dough stain that always runs faster than anyone else, running so fast that no matter how fast people try to run, they can never catch him. Until one man caught him of course. In a confrontation with this little prankish devil after a promise to the people to take him down, this man, whose name faded from history, chased him down for 7 years, 7 months and 7 days, around the world and through time and space, until one day, he did the impossible and caught the little guy purely based on his own speed, rather than relying on the cunning that the fox in the classic utilized. The tremendous feat that broke the impossible resulted in the creation of a legend and the power behind this legend gave those of this man's blood supernatural agility and speed, but with a twist. Reenacting the chase that gave them this power, users of this ability have Absolute Speed.
    "Run and run as fast as you can. You can't escape me, I'm the Gingerbread Man."
    Ability: Absolute Speed, the world's most powerful speed ability. It is an ability not based on adding just raw speed to the user, but on comparing the user's speed against the speed of the opponent the user is fighting. As a result when this ability is active, no matter the speed or reflexes of the opponent, the gingerbread man user is always faster. ALWAYS. Not even light-speed can keep up, but being able to exceed it would depend on the rank of the user. When used, the spell adds the speed of the fastest opponent/projectile in the field to their own, making them always dominant in the speed factor but has no effect if nothing is moving.
    Usage: Moving so fast however may break one's body, especially when the opponent is much faster than your base speed. Thus, the limit for users is 2 uses per thread, lasting 1 post each, with 6 post cool down. The user's rank also limits the max speed their still human bodies can take, with bullet-speed (1200 m/s) as the limit for C-rank and below, Mach 100(34000 m/s) for B-rank, lightning(6000 km/s) for A-rank and light(300,000 km/s) for S-rank or higher.
    The user is reduced in speed by 50% after using this and feels exhausted,  both for 5 posts (reducing by 10% per post)



    Unique Abilities:

    • Underworld Lordship - Kali Yuga (domain) || Having challenged and defeated Death in his own game, Kenna's been allowed to reclaim her soul and has been awarded this unique passive ability. 'Underworld Lordship - Kali Yuga' allows her to call upon the souls of other deceased and command them without fail through her Barbardium heart; as thus, other soul-based users, and even soul slayers aren't able to absorb the souls she commands within a 15 meter perimeter of any Barbardium of her making. This includes herself, as her heart contains Barbardium as well. This perimeter grows by 5 meters per rank above D.

    • Transcended Strength || A passive granted through the Ethereal essences in this magic. In order to perfectly handle Barbardium, which weight and density cannot be overthrown. Although Kenna's body is still as mortal as can be, the Ether essence grants her strength to surpass the mortal limits and transcend to that of myths. At D-rank she can handle up to 500kg without even batting an eye, with the weight she can handle tripling every time she ranks up. This insane amount of power can only be felt by others during physical and melee combat. Melee attacks do 50% more damage to people of the same rank, 25% to any higher ranked and 75% to those of lower rank, and are otherwise used for cosmetic purposes.

    • Unyielding Spirit || A passive ability that enhances the durability of all defensive spells, allowing Kenna to defend against spells that are one rank higher than hers or allow her to take one extra hit of a same-ranked spell. Eg. One D-rank spell can defend against 1 C-rank spell, or 3 D-rank spells. (Has a three turn cooldown per use when used to defend against a spell one rank higher than hers.)

    • Ethereal Synchronisation || Having gotten accustomed to the flow of ethereal energy through her veins, the magic has started developing Kenna's body to gain a defensive layer, allowing her a passive damage resistance of 35%. This passive resistance takes the form of an ethereal projection, making it look like she suddenly wears a metallic armor; similarly her left eye looks like it's flaring up with blue ethereal energy, while her dark hair turns into a ghastly silver color.

    Description: Oro Kara is a defensive counter that is fuelled by her own strength and transcended to a new level by the Ether essence, allowing her body to become sturdy enough to withstand the power of any physical attack that’s coming her way. Once the magic circle appears underneath Kenna, her attacker’s momentum is stopped, after which an aura flares up and blasts them back from whence they came. This spell doesn’t do any damage by itself, yet damage can be sustained from the power released during the forced stop of their momentum. Due to this, anyone regardless of rank can have their momentum ceased, yet the chances of higher ranked opponents receiving damage from this impact is considerably less, or even not present than for those of higher rank. Anyone of lower or equal rank will be blown back 5 meters and get full spell-rank damage, while those of one rank higher will get only half spell-ranked damage and no knock-back.

    Strengths:

    • Anyone who attacks her physically will have their momentum stopped; up until her own rank, but regardless of their strength or weight.
    • Can counter multiple opponents as long as they attack her physically.


    Weaknesses:

    • Oro Kara needs Kenna to stay stationary in order to succeed.
    • The attackers gets their momentum stopped and are blown back, but Kenna still takes the damage from these attacks.
    • It’s a physical counter, meaning that whatever Kenna is countering needs to be touched, otherwise this spell will have no use.
    • The spell itself doesn’t do the damage, rather the explosion does when their momentum is stopped.
    • Higher ranked mages will not be affected by the knock-back blast.



    Itoryu - Shishi Sonson:

    Name: Itoryu - ShiShi SonSon (One Sword Style - Re-sheath: Lion's Song)

    Description: Placing the sheathed sword upright and listening to the "breath" of his opponent, the attacker rapidly unsheathes, attacks, and resheathes the sword. With the magic circle appearing around the swords guard, as soon as the sword is drawn. An interesting note is that Kenna does does not need to actually hold a sword in order to use this spell; she can just manifest the Barbardium within mere moments of the actual strike to attack with.’Unsheathing’ would then be the actual manifestation of the Barbardium sword, whereas the resheathing would be the dispersing of the metal into orbs of magic.



    When in dire need, Kenna can even call upon the Ether essence to reinforce her magic into a pure ethernano sword, which engulfes her own arm as medium, to do this spell. When having to resort to this last thing however, Kenna will alter the stance and movement, having her weapon already ‘unsheathed’ and at the ready beside her by stretching her arm. With using her arm as a medium for the strengthening ethernano, Kenna is more vulnerable to higher ranked attacks and spells, with a high probability of her breaking her arm or sustaining heavy damage as a result.

    Strengths:

    • Can be done with either an actual sword, a Barbardium sword or as pure concentrated magic around her arm, making it a versatile spell.


    Weaknesses:

    • Can only be used on one opponent at a time.
    • When using her arm as a medium, Kenna could sustain heavier damage when used to counter spells of two or more ranks higher than her.





    Etherborn - The Swift & Powerful:


    Name: Etherborn - The Swift & Powerful

    Description: A simple spell that doesn’t need the name to be spoken, or a visible magic circle to have appeared in order to be evoked. Kenna, as one reborn within the essence of Ether, merely has to think about this spell for it to happen. The ethereal essence gathers within Kenna and slowly starts strengthening her body, getting stronger as time passes until she transcends for a short moment, which is indicated by the aura that engulfs her. This buff enhances the capabilities and limits of the human body for 3 posts, allowing for a small enhancement of speed and strength at the beginning till a full transcending takes place during the last post two posts. Kenna can choose to channel the essence towards allies within a 10 meter radius, who then benefit from it too.

    The effects of this buff hold a 15% increase in all close-combat and physical spells, and grow with an additional 10% every post, capping at 25%. Any buff will be negated when this one is in effect; if another buff is already in effect it will be overridden and negated by this one. The Ether essence itself will not allow medium or long range spells to be used, as these will spread the buff and dispel it. This doesn’t mean they cannot be used however; but if they are used when by a person is affected by this buff, said attack or spell will only do half the damage as compensation. To maintain the balance of one's body however, those under influence have their defense decreased by the same amount that their speed and strength have been elevated.
    Strengths:

    • The user(s)’s strength and speed are increased with 15% during the first post, and gains +10% more the next, capping out at 25%, keeping that bonus until for 3 posts.
    • Can be shared with all allies within a 10 meter radius.


    Weaknesses:

    • This spell is automatically dispelled if they still use a medium or long range spell were to be used.
    • Once any other spell or technique that isn’t considered close-range is used, aside from the buff wearing off instantly, their fired spell/attack will only do half the damage.
    • When this spell is active, no buffs can be received or given.
    • Buffs that are already in progress or received will be negated upon this spell’s activation.
    • Defense is decreased by the same percentage their speed and strength have been increased with.



    Heavenly Supremacy:


    Name: Tenkū Haja Chimimōryō (Heaven's Supremacy over Evil Spirits of Rivers and Mountains)

    Description: The Chimimoryo are malevolent spirits that haunt Earthland's rivers and mountains, preying on the souls of both the living and the dead. Kenna is able to assert dominion over them through her Underworld Domain and Ethereal essence, thus being able to call upon her Heavenly Supremacy over the evil spirits and command them to attack her enemies with but a simple flick of her fingers. The magic circle spawns about a decent 3 meters in width and appears right before Kenna, shining brightly before the souls appear from nearly everywhere. When they collide with people they will push them back in their flurry, while the weaker undead creatures are struck down, their bodies returned to ashes and their souls caught within the Barbardium heart she wears. Undead or those defying death in any way will get 125% spell-ranked damage, while living creatures only get 75% spell-ranked damage.

    Strengths:

    • Are long-range and can attack several targets at once.
    • Weak Undead, Undead monsters, or creatures related to Death can be converted to souls for Kenna's Kali Yuga realm.
    • Does 125% spell-ranked damage to undead, revived or creatures that defy Death.


    Weaknesses:

    • Due to the massive AoE of this spell, the chance of getting hit diminishes the further away the target is.
    • It will first and foremost target the Undead, making it so that the spell may ignore living targets if undead are present.
    • Once the spell has been cast, the spirit's paths cannot be altered.
    • Although spirits, they can cause significant damage in and to 'holy' places due to their malevolent nature.
    • Does only 75% spell-ranked damage to the living.








    New Spells - D-rank

    Kali Yuga - Age of Suffering:


    Name: Kali Yuga - Age of Suffering

    Description: A strong burst of ethereal energy assaults the hypocampus within one's brain, stimulating it into sending the feeling of an intense sensation of fear to paralyse her opponents. Cosmetically; when this spell activates the clouds seem to gather above the area, shrouding a large area from the sun as if a storm is brewing. The clouds then burst open as the magic circle becomes visible; within Kenna's palm a small orb appears, in which she holds the energy manipulation the hypocampus. Anyone within a 10m range is subjected to the spell, unless of higher rank.


    Strengths:

    • Fearful - The targets will get paralysed for one post, and if still being haunted for by fears, see their greatest fear become reality in an illusion only visible to themselves.
    • Outside of battle this will be successful on any NPC and player (with permission of player themselves).


    Weaknesses:

    • Those of higher rank will only stuck to their place for a mere fraction of a second before being able to move again.
    • Those without any type of fear will remain pinned to the ground, but can still move their upper body around while paralysed.
    • Will cause both foes and allies to see their greatest fear as an illusion, whether they are paralysed by it or not



    Ethereal Healing:

    Name: Ethereal Healing

    Description: A minuscule magic symbol appears within her irises as she stretches out her hand and gently blows into her palm, converting the ethereal energy into healing-based ethernano. To the naked eye it looks like multi-fluorescent dust that appears out of nowhere and is blown their way; those who bask in the dust can feel their vigour returning and their quelling ailments disappear. Out of battle this dust even has the power to return life to the departed, or heal otherwise mortal wounds.


    Strengths:

    • Cleansing - The user either get themselves or an ally healed for D-rank's worth of damage, or can cleanse themselves or any ally from status effects.


    Weaknesses:

    • If used on an ally, they must be within a 3 meter range for the spell to have effect.
    • As it is considered holy magic, any light or holy slayer can consume this spell and gain the healing or cleansing effects for themselves.


    Detonating Clone:


    Name: Detonating Clone

    Description: A large magic circle appears in Kenna's near vicinity, from which an exact duplicate of herself appears. This clone looks and senses like any it could be the actual body to any other person; making it great for sudden switches or decoys. The clone remains silent and doesn't speak, yet follows the chosen target everywhere (unless the user had no specific target in mind, in which case it just wanders around aimlessly), as if it were a homing missile. Be it a homing missile at walking speed. The only difference is the fact that after a duration of one post, this clone explodes; the explosion powerful enough to leave a 10m by 10m crater where it detonates. Kenna can defuse the detonation by touching the clone, after which it becomes a regular, mind-controled clone.


    Strengths:

    • Will detonate after one post, leaving an large crater in its wake.
    • Only Kenna can touch the clone without it detonating; similarly it will not detonate as long as Kenna is within range.


    Weaknesses:

    • The clone will explode upon touch; be this the actual target or a random object flung at it.
    • The clone is mind-controled and moves wherever the user's mind directs it to.
    • This clone moves at walking speed; it cannot run unless its speed is buffed.

    Corrupted Barbardium Fist:



    Name: Corrupted Barbardium Fist
    Rank: C
    Type: Barbardium | Demonic Corruption | Offensive

    Description: A devastating blow, fuelled by the beginning corruption of Kenna’s Barbardium through her demonic genes. Odd glowing runes appear upon her skin and circle up her lower arms, initiating the demonic state of her body, leaving her unable to control her magic until the corruption ceases. Instead of otherwise channelling but a small portion of her magic into her fists, her magic is haywired and forced out when the blow hits, dealing an irregular amount of damage that seeps through both the outer and inner defensive layers of the body. Her victim -if hit- will find themselves into an enormous amount of pain and unable to act properly (reduced reaction speed) due to the internal damage taken. Once struck, the foe is dealt 175% C-rank damage on impact, and with it causes severe internal damage; both internal bleedings and fractures, depending on where the opponent was hit.

    Due to this spell being fueled by her demonic genes, Demon Slayers will be more resistant to this attack, thus only getting the regular amount of C-rank damage if it were to hit. The demonic genes gladly corrupt Kenna’s body when getting fueled with the blood of her comrades; if she were to hit an ally, her demonic unconscious will become sated, enjoying the blood of the comrade they spilled, and makes it take longer for Kenna to be mentally prepared to use this spell again.

    Strengths:

    • Causes severe internal damage; both internal bleedings and fractures, depending on where the opponent was hit.
    • Does 175% C-rank damage.
    • If blocked with a C-rank spell it will still deal the ulterior 75% damage to the opponent, but will not cause any internal damage.

    Weaknesses:

    • Cannot be buffed by any spell.
    • Will cause the spell to backfire when blocked with a higher-ranked spell, dealing 75% C-rank damage back to the user.
    • If this spell is used upon a Demon Slayer and hits, they will only get regular C-rank damage dealt instead of the elevated 175% C-rank damage.
    • If the spell were to be deflected and used upon an ally, Kenna will corrupt even more, doubling the cooldown of this spell.




    New C-ranked spells


    Forbidden Summoning - Minos, Judge of Hell:


    Name: Forbidden Summoning - Minos, Judge of Hell
    Rank: C
    Type: Summoning || Barbardium
    Duration: 2 to 5 turns
    Cooldown: 6 turns
    Description: Minos, one of the three kings of hell that judge the deceased souls's fates within the Underworld, has finally heard the call of his new master. He had not expected to find one with the authority to boss him around, yet was accidently summoned to this world through Kenna's soul realm when it connected with the Underworld. Minos dons an armor made of Kenna's Barbardium, adorned with majestic large wings, yet isn't worn down by the weight of it. He moves about freely when summoned, able to think for himself, and loves using his active ability to showcase an epic entry whenever he is summoned.

    Minos can take as much damage as a regular summon before being called back to his true plane of existence. Dependent on the amount of time he stays within the realm of his summoner, Minos can be allowed to return sooner if he didn't remain the full period of time. Like any regular summon, after having used his 'ability', Minos can still use his fists to fight.

    Active Ability - Gigantic Feather Flap: Minos kicks up a powerful cutting wind with his mighty wings, deflecting any projectiles up till C-rank with the wind's force.

    Passive Ability - Flight: Minos can use his large wings to actively fly when summoned; being able to carry up to three people of regular size, or up to 5 child-sized people. He flies at a C-ranks running speed when alone or only carrying one person, but has his speed reduced to 1/3 of that speed when carrying 2 or more.

    Strengths:

    • Watch out; Hot! - He has a naturally strong pheromone, making others more attracted to him, and less likely to attack him as long as he leaves them alone. (If this is towards players, OoC permission is needed)

    Weaknesses:

    • Can only remain within the realm he was summoned for a set amount of time.
    • If an ally accidently hits Minos, the ulterior melee damage will be dealt to them as well.
    • Takes one post to complete the summon; the user however can move around freely when doing so.


    Sekishiki Tenryu Ha (Praescepe Celestial Spirit March):


    Name: Sekishiki Tenryu Ha (Praescepe Celestial Spirit March)

    Type: AoE || Charging Offensive || Soul Manipulation
    Duration: 1 turn (+ charging posts)
    Cooldown: 4 turns
    Description: Kenna embraces her mastery over her Underworld Domain and calls upon the souls of the departed, which she caries with her. Usually through a medium connected with these souls (like a Barbardium or soul-infused weapon), but also capable of being used by using her body as a medium, waves of ethernano surge around her visibly while a portal opens up above her. All the souls heading her call emerge from the portal as blueish wisps, and gather around Kenna; the souls of those that are connected to her life and of which she caries their will, appear beside her as an illusionary army. As they stand, Kenna can opt to either charge the spell or fire it immediately.

    In case of immediate fire; all souls will immediately gather into the sphere that gathered above her. The illusions flare up with a blue hue and ascend to become one with the sphere, making it grow 10m in size. Kenna then extends her arm and guides the sphere towards her enemies by flinging it their way; anyone within the sphere's way will get 100% C-rank damage. The sphere can travel up to 30m in a straight line.

    In case of charging the spell; more and more souls will emerge from the portal and form a large blue-hued sphere meters above Kenna, growing considerable in size. After one post the sphere will have grown 15m in size, and will be capable of doing 150% C-rank damage. After two posts of charging successfully, the sphere will be 25m in size, Kenna will be able to add her own soul to the fray at a cost of 5% of her total health, allowing this spell to break through a B-rank defensive spell while dealing 125% C-rank damage.

    Strengths:

    • Ultimate Strength - If Kenna can charge the attack for two posts straight, she'll be able to break through a defensive spell one rank higher than this spell's rank by adding her soul to the attack.

    Weaknesses:

    • If Kenna initiates the charge, she is forced to remain stationary until the moment she's ready to unleash the spell's devastating force.
    • One can disrupt the charging by attacking Kenna and throwing her off balance; this will not dispell the attack but instead have it be fired at the stage she had already passed.
    • Ultimate Strength's Drawback; the strain of adding one's soul to the attack shows through the damage Kenna sustains. (5% of her max health)
    • Once thrown the sphere can only follow the direction it has been thrown in.




    Piercing Rain:


    Name: Piercing Rain
    Rank: C
    Type: Barbardium || AoE
    Duration: 1 turn
    Cooldown: 2 turns
    Description: A simple AoE attack spell where Kenna backflips and summons a bow and three arrows to her side; she aims and remains stationary as a magic circle appears in front of the arrow tips. Volley upon volley of Barbardium arrows are shot unto the enemies within a 20m to 25m radius; all who were caught within the volley are dealt C-rank worth of damage. This spell can also be done when remaining on the ground; Kenna will kneel and aim the arrows towards the sky, which will then rain down upon her foes within a 20m to 25m radius.

    Strengths:

    • This spell can be used while airborn, as well on the ground and can hit multiple foes at once.


    Weaknesses:

    • When airborn, Kenna is an easy target for ranged attacks.
    • The spell can be disrupted if Kenna is thrown off-balance during the shooting.




    Etherborn's Hail:


    Name: Etherborn's Hail
    Rank: C
    Type: Ethereal || Barbardium || Defensive || offensive AoE
    Duration: 1 turn
    Cooldown: 2 turns
    Description: A complicated spell known for it's ability to be used either offensive or defensive. Both modes start off as Kenna erecting a complicated diagram of multiple magic circles in a crescent bow before her; she then speaks the mode she wishes to use before the spell is activated.

    Offensive Mode; The magic circles light up all at once and send out volleys of pure Barbardium spikes towards anyone in a 25m cone-shaped radius, dealing C-rank worth of damage to anyone caught up in the volley.

    Defensive Mode; All magic circles connect and from a large dome of ethereal magic over herself and possible allies, spawning a 25m in width. This dome can take up to 3 times it spell rank in damage before it crumbles.

    Strengths:

    • Multi-usage - Can be used either offensive or defensive, dependent on the situation the caster is in; the mode in which it will be used must be spoken in order to be changed however.
    • This spell is capable of taking up to 3 c-rank spells, or one B-rank spell worth of damage before collapsing.


    Weaknesses:

    • if the mode isn't spoken, the spell will automatically take the offensive form.
    • Once the magic circle diagram has been cast, it cannot be moved; meaning that moving targets can easily get out of its offensive shooting range.
    • The dome does not defend against underground attacks.
    • Enemies can still infiltrate the defensive barrier if they can dig their way into it from underground (if the ground can be dug through).

    Name: Soulstep
    Rank: D
    Type: Movement
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: Once per post
    Description: Kenna lets every single vibre of her veins be overrun with the ethereal element of her magic, becoming temporarily one with the universe, boosting her speed to limits she had never dared reaching. A downside to it is that her body becomes ethereal; handy for passing through whatever solid matter she wants, but not when wanting to sneak-attack someone. She can instantly appear anywhere within a 15m radius as long as the place she wants to go to is within view; soulstep cannot be used to move to a place behind her back.

    Strengths:

    • Ethereal - Kenna can pass through solid objects during this burst.


    Weaknesses:

    • If she dares look back during this spell she will lose the ability to pass through things, making it easy for her to run into something without her noticing in time.
    • Cannot use magic while using Soulstep, only once she has stopped moving and regained physical form. (Items can be used if they have been forged/drenched with her blood or contain Barbardium)


    User-ranked Signature Spell || Ethereal Wall:


    Name: Ethereal Wall
    Rank: User-rank
    Type: Defensive
    Duration: 1 to 2 turns
    Cooldown: N/A (in case of 2 turns, the cooldown will be 1 post)
    Description: Kenna extends her hand and evokes a magic circle before her palm, where she gathers and forces the Ethereal element to come forth and take form. Once done, a massive square barrier is erected, covering a radius of up to 15 meters (goes up with 15m per rank) behind her and protecting any ally within the square from harm. In certain cases, the effect can be reverted so that the barrier closes around the attacker, cancelling their attack if it is of the same rank or keeping the damage within the barrier itself. Either way, a great deal of concentration is needed to upkeep the barrier, making it unable for Ageha to move from her current spot as long as the barrier is active.

    Strengths:

    • Can deflect any spell of the same rank as long as they're fired separately.
    • Weather of any kind is negated within the barrier as long as it stands.
    • Can take up to 3 spell-ranked spells or one higher-ranked spell in damage before the spell dissipates.

      Weaknesses:

      • One can penetrate the barrier by attacking from the ground.
      • Forcing the caster to move will instantly dispell the barrier.
      • If the spell lasts for more than one turn, the user is forced to remain stationary in order to keep it up.
      • This spell has one flaw; it has a weak spot, allowing it to be broken through when attacked. A 6-sided dice will be rolled; if it hits 4, the opponent will break through the barrier without it being able to defend. (This applies to all spells, including lower-ranked ones)
      • If another same-ranked Ethereal spell is used to attack the barrier, the barrier will take one hit and disappear.
