Jiyu had not been doing as much work as she normally did. In the past? She was often off on some new job multiple times a day, or took tons of jobs and vanished to do them for weeks on end. Well her time of doing that was at present over, sure she still wanted to work and even become a wizard Saint, but getting up every single morning got harder and harder as the days went by. At first she had not been bothered too much, sure that another letter would come in, everything that happened would just become a bad dream. However the witch did not get that lucky, the gods did not grace her like that because she was one of them now, they could not help her. The Inugami knew everything was real and she should woman up and accept her crime, but she just couldn't admit what happened. Jiyu didn't want any of it to be real even if it made her more powerful, her best friend had been taken from her! That fact was pretty much more than the little Mage could take, so she tried her best to ignore it all the time. Yet going on jobs brought it all back because they had done so many together. Jiyu wanted to tear someone's throat out, hear screams of agony, it was instinct of such an existence as hers, but she knew it would not fix her problem. Besides that was really her assertive sides stick.

“Jiyu, you have a letter from the magic council.” The voice was that of Maka as the little kitsune rushed into the large room her guardian was laying in. Honestly the Wind Mage should have left hours ago to do something, she had been sitting in this room for two days now. If she had been her normal self? The council would not have sent her a letter because Jiyu tended to just sled invite herself to most missions anyways. However eventually something had happened and they realized the Mage who normally jumped on things was not coming without formal summons this time, so they sent a letter. “what do they want.” The mismatched eyed girl sat up drowsily a near pout on her face, as if to say how dare they interrupt her mopping! Yet without much protest she removed the magical seal holding the letter shut and watched as the request of some general member of the council's functional staff begin to play in front of her eyes.

By the end of the message she collected by the fact they wanted her to go the Lycan woods. Honestly? She was better at debriefing others! They gave her so little into this felt like diving in blind. “Come on Maka.” The girl sighed slightly as she motioned the kitsune to follow her. Even if she did not really want to go out today, it was not wise to refuse a request directly from the council so Jiyu got herself ready and headed out into the town to go towards her destination. Normally she would fly but for now the wizard simply walked past the last building of Rose Garden to the forest beyond.

What was time to a god? An immortal being that could not be conquered by the merciless teeth of decay, even thousands of years would be nothing more than a simple grain of sand in the largest hourglass. Noheme did not know for how long she lived, how many years her existence flew through. It was hard to keep tract of something like that, for the beginning of her consciousness was nothing more than darkness. It was not cold, nor warm. It was simply dark, all around. And she knew nothing else, endlessly wondering the void. That was until she met a certain someone. A someone that claimed to be the one who gave her life. In human terms, a father. But could a god truly have a parent? Perhaps yes, perhaps not. The young goddess did not know, so she could not judge or make decisions on her own. She could only be lead to her goal by this mysterious being that claimed control over her and gave her the power to form entirely new realm. The Astral World that would sprout out of nothingness, bearing the seed of life and color. No longer was her world dark. In her new world, she would spend a long amount of time indeed. But how long, she still did not know. It was until she finally managed to open a partial rift to another dimension, one known as Earthland. There, the humanity saw her as a true goddess and started worshiping her. Perhaps only then she became a god? But if so, then what was she until then? Not that it truly matter... tis' was but a matter of the past. It was even silly to think about it all. So why did she? Why did Noheme think about such trivial matters? Well... perhaps it was because of what happened recently. An information provided by her 'father', one that she did not expect.

An information that provided the goddess in mortal vessel with a new target. A female human-like being named Jiyu Kazehime. Though her true nature was something quite different indeed. Or at least that was what the mysterious being told her. And she knew that she could rely on his information, as it proved to be truthful again and again in the past. She was the mark. Why? For one single reason... she was apparently the reason for a death of one of her sisters. Sisters that Noheme herself did not really even know about until now. If she knew, then she would surely try to contact them in some manner. But that was no longer possible, at least not with this one. The way the fox girl was running through the woods, it almost looked like she was hunting. But her goal was not quite to kill. For now, she just wanted to know why. After that, she would decide what is next. And she was close now. The knowledge of what this girl was lied in her head, so she made extra sure that she would hide her magical signature along with all the sounds she was making. And then, she would jump right from the trees and bushes, flying right above the girl's head. It was clear that she was heading somewhere, but that would have to wait. The moment Noheme landed, she would instantly turn and charge back at the girl, attempting to restrain her with her own darkness-coated hands by grabbing her hands.

Inugami were creatures often considered gods, kami, but this was an ideal still very new to Jiyu, so many things were new and she didn’t really want any of it. If she had lived her entire life without finding out that she was a demon and then some spirit goddess of hatred and vengeance? Kazehime would have went through every day just perfectly happy. However it had to make one wondered if it would not have become evident eventually for even demon’s could age eventually or be killed by mortal wounds, yet god’s were different and it was much tougher to end them for good. Would one day she have been struck down only to get back up and realize that she was different from other demons? Or would her assertive side have taken over her entirely and murdered everyone she cared for, brought chaos around and crushed her dreams. Leila had saved her life in far more ways than just restoring her to a body, and the girl was not as happy as someone who got a second chance should be. The worst thing of everything that happened though? Was this sense of loneliness that she was left with! Not even the gods could help her now because from everything she could collected she was considered one, and she wanted to take it back, but you could not take back death. Expect if you were her, because apparently she had died twice, once to become an inugami and then when leila had saved her. Most of what Jiyu thought about? Was how she never asked for any of it.

No matter how depressed she had become, how far she had sunk down, the young woman was unable to cease living because if she did, than there would be two lives withered away. Of course maybe she deserved it. She felt something shift in the air around her, a bad feelings as if her dark energy was going to screw up something else, but instead she saw another being leap over her. The second that took place? Kazehime acted, whirling around and taking swift steps backwards so she could put distance between them and keep an eye of the new incoming existence. “Maka!” Instantly it became apparent that she had made the correct choice because the fox girl grabbed at the air where her hands had been seconds before. Jiyu did not like the idea of anyone grabbing her, the last time she had been grabbed and dragged somewhere she was pretty sure she’d died. Not an experience one wants to repeat. “What The Hell Do You Want With Me!” she shouted it as Makoto transformed into her larger form, snarling fangs bared at the other candid. Jiyu could barely believe someone had made an attempt on her life, but that was the only thing she could believe this was. After-all? Why would someone who wanted to talk peacefully with her or say hello, sneak up on her and try to grab her?! It was even more suspicious that she had not sensed this girl a ton sooner, as if she had deliberately hid, which means this attacker knew more about Jiyu than Kaze knew about her. “Leave me alone, I have things to do.” she kept looking at the other girl, her ebony hair fluttering slightly as the wind caressed her, darkness swirling in her mismatched eyes as the negativity she was feeling right now fed right into her assertive side.

The girl's eyes shifted around a bit, one beast to her side and her target right in front of her, just a little bit off from grabbing. So she managed to dodge like that, this was truly interesting. Sensing the magical energy around, it became clear that the girl in front of her was not only distant from the breed of humans, but was also hiding some large amount of magical energy inside of her body. She was a witch of pretty high standing, so this could quickly escalate into a battle. However, the fact that she retreated so swiftly instead of blocking Noheme's attempt at grabbing her probably meant that close quarters combat was not her strongest suit. Yet, it was the goddess' speciality so she should take full advantage of it. Closing her eyes for a bit as she appeared almost wild-like, a snaring beast on all four that was ready to strike. But instead, she propelled her body up, only leaving one of her hands touching the ground as she spun around in a circle, dark energy quickly surrounding her and forming several objects. One of them being a rather large shield that fell between herself and Jiyu, creating a barrier and the other one being some sort of gun that she quickly grabbed and aimed at the large fox. She did not wait and pressed the trigger instantly, but what came out was no bullet. It was some sort of net, made out of darkness just like the weapon and the shield themselves, meant to stop the beast in it's tracks for at least a moment. After all, it would be unpleasant to talk while being surrounded like that, so the fox girl wanted to at least get some form of advantage here. And no matter what Jiyu did, she probably didn't get farther away, so she still should be in range.

Activating her teleport ability, she moved her own body behind the one of the other dark goddess, quickly getting a hold of her hands, forcing them behind her back so that she could not quite use them. There was a clear smile on Noheme's face as well if the small girl managed to somehow see it from that angle too. "Well, I guess you do deserve the title of a deity. Who would have thought... or maybe you can now actually use your powers properly, since majority of the blockades were sealed away by sacrificial magic of 「○○○」... whops, forgot those outside of our reality cannot comprehend that name, my apologies." Even though she spoke like this, it probably wasn't really helping the situation. So instead of making the painful hold on Jiyu stronger, the goddess would decide to ask directly. Leaning towards one of her dog ears and whispering gently. "Why did Leila sacrifice herself for you...?"

Jiyu had more abilities than she was aware of, many more powers than she truly could comprehend as someone who was still trying convince themselves they were a normal demon when they were anything but. Right now? There was actually a good deal of things Kazehime did not or could not do because of her refusal to let go and accept what, who she was. However those were not matters for right now, because at the moment she had to deal with the kitsune looking humanoid in front of her. Honestly she sometimes wished she had the moral compass of her assertive side, or rather the lack of morality that face held, she could be done here already. Yet the sorceress knew this balance between her faces and their persona’s was necessary because otherwise things would  get out of hand very quickly. In many ways? It was ying and yang her darkness and the light she also held, could not exist without one another, even if she was a spirit of vengeance. Anyway’s, many of the things she could do were not fully under her control yet, otherwise she could have very well been in an appearance Noheme would not have recognized instead of being so easy to pick out for an attack. Jiyu wasn’t even aware that she could shapeshift, possess people nor that she could return to Solace anytime she wanted of her own free will. However she did feel something lock when the girl in front of her started using clearly competitive abilities.

It was all a little quick and netting Makoto served as a very functional distracting because of Jiyu’s love for the little kitsune. Instead of keeping her eyes on their attacker like she knew she should have? The witch whirled in an attempt to go move the net off the young kitsune who was now struggling against it and trying to chew on the dark energy so she could escape. However any attempts of escape from the fox stopped when she saw Noheme reappear behind Kaze and moved to shout out to her parental figure, warn her, but it was too late.

The voice whispered against her ear and the female tightened every muscle in her new body, blood thundering through her veins and pounding her heart to the point of break. She got this sense she wanted to run somewhere, but the place was beyond her reach. Anger flowed through her, stroking her assertive side, sharp claws turning red as she struggled to keep that face back, fear coursing through her at the way her wrists were being held. This girl was aware of what she supposedly was now?! Kazehime did not understand how this was possible for even if she had mentioned the term Inugami she had never explained that it meant she was a deity. So where had this girl gotten the information? “Let me go and you’ll find out what I can do with my powers!” her voice sounded much weaker even if she tried to shout, the best result was a nearby tree falling down, the leaves blowing their way as the wind changed it’s course.

She flinched when one of her partly furred ears was bathed in the breath of this girl, tensing even further and wishing she could in any sane state of mind just let her assertive side out. The name was like shooting a bullet through her and the girl went entirely limp, her body naturally falling back onto the girl holding onto her arms. So another god had come to avenge the goddess of eden? Well she supposed it was only to be expected. “You might not even understand, since from your prior statement you're clearly from another reality, but she loved me.” she couldn’t even cry anymore, she had spent days after returning to Black Rose crying, instead she was just burned out, the fight Noheme had priorly witnessed gone, mismatched eyes glazed over.  “If you're going to kill me, at least promise you’ll do the world a favor and go to the Lycan Woods and take care of the problem there. By the time the Council could send someone else if might be too late to stop whatever's there.” clearly this girl did not have much fight left in her at all when reminded so directly of losing her best friend. In fact? If Noheme was not holding her wrist’s, the girl would be on the ground.

As expected, the girl tried to resist the best she could. But as Noheme figured out by her behaviour, she really was one who preferred combat from distance, as her attempts to free herself were rather... pathetic. But that was good, as they could at least have a talk now in which the goddess would feel properly dominant, something she liked very much and desired every time. She was a selfish one after all, and it matter not to her who would bow to her because of her power. She simply wanted that acknowledgement, that proof of her own strength actually being there. But this time served another purpose. The purpose of Eden's goddess being forever gone, something that clearly did not bode well with either of the girls. Though one clearly hid their emotions better than the other one. Noheme merely listened after she finish her talk, taking it all in with her equally furry ears, every words sounding as loud as if it was indeed shouted right at her. She didn't even know why she focused on her hearing so much, as if she wanted to make absolutely sure that she heard everything right and that the girl would not have to repeat herself. But that one single sentence pained her more than anything else. It was worse that death, it was worse than that time when she got impaled by a scythe while saving a rotten city from certain doom! Yet, her body was perfectly fine, not a single scratch from this encounter. So why did it hurt so much? It was rather... peculiar. Was this a human emotion? Something caused by her possessing a mortal vessel, a female from Joya that was indeed a mortal human? Or was this actually something that she was capable of as a god, an emotion that she simply did not feel until now?

Whatever the answer was, it did not feel good. Letting go of the dog demon girl without a warning, Noheme would gently push her forward so that she could fall onto her own knees and not hurt herself in that process. And with that sudden swirl of emotions, she turned her back to her, a darkness coating her right hand as she swung it, instantly breaking several trees in front of her with the shockwave alone. But that anger was not what was least expected from this. Noheme was actually... crying. Yes, tears flowed down her cheeks as she started sobbing out loud, letting out sounds of partial choking and trying to forcefully calm herself down. "WHY? Why would you do this to me? I hate you... I hate everything! My own sister, yet I was refused her love while others were not? I had to endure years in pitch black solitude when I could have had a sister instead?! Why didn't you tell me 「○○○」? Why are you torturing my like this?!" Eventually, the tailed goddess would fall to her knees as she covered her face in her palms. The weapons of darkness slowly disappeared, freeing the grown up fox and showing that the dark magic became unstable as well. If Jiyu wanted to attack and kill Noheme, she had a chance right now, for she was completely defenseless and absorbed in her own sudden grief and confusion from all the emotions present. The world around her completely disappeared, not even her enhanced senses bringing her back into reality as the birds chirped a happy melody and the sounds of forest enveloped them all. A cruel punishment from the one who claimed that he gave her life. And now, she was faced with the fact that it was actually all true. That this Leila Vergious truly existed and was very much the same as herself.

And what more, her grief could be felt across the worlds themselves. In the Astral word, her loyal servant bowed down her head with hint of tears in her tree eyes as well. And in an unknown world, the mysterious being smiled maliciously, feeling rather well about torturing his own creation to a point where even the goddess filled with unmovable pride shed tears of sadness in front of others.

She felt the grip on her wrists loosen slowly but surely and even though she knew this was something happening physically to her? Every single bit of it felt out of body right now, in fact she could almost swear she could see her own body being held by the goddess. Kazehime hated this she just wanted to feel normal again, but with every second she felt more disconnected to herself than before, her nerves did not even fire as Noheme used her hands to push the body forward, and she felt no pain for once as her entire body crumbled and fell to the ground. Jiyu knew it was unwise for her to not catch herself, and she had wanted to prevent the fall knowing how much even a paper cut could hurt because of how weak she was in physical form, but her body just did not seem to realize she wanted anything from it. In fact? She was beginning to feel cold as she had when she was chained to the frost bitten ground, sending one last shiver down her spine. Yet she never felt the pain when her fact hit the ground with an audible crack, she could see her body shift slightly, knew her entire frontal was now going to be covered with scratches and that she had likely broken a bone somewhere, but she felt none of it. The only thing that Jiyu felt? Was nothing as she looked down at herself on the ground, now realizing that her body looked empty. Had Noheme killed her already? No that did not fit, Kazehime was sure she would know if she was murdered, that had not happened, so why could she see everything as if she was a third person watching the entire scene. Also to be clear, it was not the goddess fault that the deity was injured, Jiyu could have caught herself, if she was not set on getting out of her own skin. Any injury was the canine’s own fault.

She could not seem to gain her fight back, yet slowly the pain started filling her body, limbs twitching with an exasperated groan as Jiyu’s soul properly synced with her body once more. What had just happened to the Deity was her soul trying to escape Noheme through possessing something else, but since she had picked no target it simply resulted in a brief out of body experience. Sensitive ears twitched at the sound freely falling tears, but the wind user could not be made to bother with it right now as she rolled onto her side, breathing heavily, mismatched eyes catching sight of her own blood on the ground beside her. Clearly she was hurt, and Jiyu did not want to see the damage, though some things like scraped knees and torn up forearms were unavoidable in sight as she sat up cautiously. “Ouch, Nnn, FUCK!” the sorceress felt her face, and then found her jaw was bruised or fractured, the left side already starting to swell up slightly. It really sucked, that she would have to go to the Lycan Woods and help out in this sort of condition, Jiyu was no longer looking forward to her mission. Of course she had never been looking forward to it in the first place.

“Thats an easy one girly, some people get off on the power controlling other’s lives gives them.” one could plainly see from Noheme’s reaction why information about Leila had been kept from her until after the Eden Mages life had ended. Kazehime sighed out, snapping her fingers signaling to Makoto that she could take on her smaller form once more. “Though the fact still remains if you're her sister, stop disgracing her by moping around she loved you even if you didn’t know each other, there is no way she would not love her own sister and she could never stand to see those she loved upset. So get up, smile, and show the world what you can do.” the female crouched down slightly in front of the grumbled goddess, quirking her own head to the side slightly, the two of them looked nothing alike and yet the witch would not protest the relation. Both of the girls? Had come into her life out of no-where, she just had to make sure Noheme did not go like Leila had and certainly that it didn’t end the same.

“Come on, I can’t stay here all day I still have a job to do.” the woman stood back up and motioned for Maka to come to her shoulder, than turned around to start heading towards the train station once more, so she could try to get close to the Lycan Woods, of course she was starting to wonder why she did not just fly.

The universe was a strange place filled with mysteries unexplained. And no matter how far you would get, you would never actually meet an end. Noheme was a god to the humans of Earthland, yet the mysterious being was like a god to Noheme of Astral Realm. The cycle would continue on and on, forever forward and never stopping. That was simply the nature of it, the chaos and order bound together by bond unbreakable. And as the fox girl kneeled on the ground, she came to accept many things. Because now she got confirmed what was the truth and what was a lie. Though she still wanted to believe that it was nothing more than a simple white lie, there was no way that it was something like that. The sisters were separated? Were they truly? After all, Noheme remembered every moment from the second she awoke, her life beginning from zero. Yet, she never knew of a sister, or a parent. Pieces of the milky puzzle started falling into place in her head, one by one. Yet there were many pieces missing still. And it would be a while before the whole, colorless picture could be revealed and seen by all. Time had a way of healing all wounds, or so they said. Perhaps that was the truth and all they had was to wait. For good things could sometimes come out from waiting as well. And the goddess accepted it all, wiping her face, or at least trying to. The trails of tears were still rather visible alongside the bloodshot eyes as Noheme tried to get up on her own two legs, her fluffy tail swinging from one side to another ever so slowly. She was still alive. They both were. Well, obviously... she only wanted to talk from the very beginning.

But emotions were running high, and none could tell what would happen in the moment's notice. Scary thing indeed, but at least it was all over now. And the goddess was surprised quite a bit too. "I thought you would take revenge on someone you don't even know. You would be justified, I suppose. Especially with those wounds you got there... guess I can repay you a bit as a thank you for not taking advantage of that situation..." clenching her hands together as if for a prayer, Noheme started channeling her magic. But this time, it was far from the darkness she used up until now. It was magic of light, one that could easily bring comfort and heal one's wounds. And so it did, as comforting and warm rays of sunlight slowly started appearing and Jiyu's wounds would quickly regenerate, putting her back into the unharmed state she was in before this whole encounter. That was the least she could do for this wind witch after what transpired. It would certainly create a memory that the fox girl would not forget any time soon. And for some reason... she felt kinda at ease. Was that because the other tailed girl was also a deity? They were different, yet they were kin in some way or sense, right? It was a strange feeling, as Noheme did not yet meet another higher being like this. Perhaps this could be a start of something more interesting. Though there was still something that she wanted to ask, and so she just did. "You knew her very well, did you not? You know who she was and what her story was, yet... you're not questioning how she could possibly have a sister?" After all, that little bit felt odd even to the goddess of the moon. But she did not mean to dig into that fact too much right now, as she had a point. If there was some sort of danger, then they should probably stop wasting their time here and head over there already!

“Oh we would take revenge on a complete stranger, I take revenge on my own guild-mates if they piss me off.” it was a strange way to start talking, suddenly referring to herself as more than one person, especially since she considered all her faces part of her. However Jiyu figured it was the best way to make someone understand this situation. Yet when she spoke of revenge she got distracted remembering fondly the expression on Magna’s face when he realized one of the sharks in that freezer truck was still alive and almost lost his arm to it, he never should have called her a bad dog, because she could easily become a worse puppy. Thought’s brought small chuckles to her as she recalled a few other instances of revenge some more malicious than others, and her lust to take revenge on the men who had caused her to become an Inugami in the first place. “But killing you, that wouldn’t be revenge and trying would have us running in circles.” they were both deities after all it was not far fetched to believe killing the girl in front of her would be lots harder than stabbing a knife through her so to speak. Plus it was kind of sweet to see the other girl broken on the ground, enough to sate her assertive side for the moment. “But for reference I am not her, not the one you should watch your back for” it was kind of important that this girl became aware of her multiple faces encase they encountered again and it was not Mysterious who was in control. “We’re all called Jiyu but there’s Mysterious who is me, Gentle, Happy and finally the one you should fear is gonna come for you, Assertive, because believe me when she’s let out she’ll come for anyone.” but Kazehime did not seem to have any qualms about what she knew her Assertive face would do if and when she gained control of their body, because the communication between her different fourths was now much better thanks to Leila. “But she’s content with sleeping and draining any negative emotion we feel for now, and see’s no reason to come out until someone makes a direct unmistakable attempt on our life.” even if she had thought Noheme had come to kill her? She had quickly convinced Assertive that it was not clear enough in intent for her to be allowed out.

When her wounds were mentioned Jiyu took time to clearly look at herself and a frown marred her face at the clear scratches that would take some time to heal. “Yeah that happens every time I fall, this is actually quiet minor compared to what could have happened.” like losing her life, she still thought Noheme might have actually intended to take her life in the beginning, not that she would let anyone else know that. “Oh wow, your handy work?” the girl watched in silent amazement as her wounds slowly started closing up and the agony in her jaw faded away almost as if it was never there in the first place. “Quiet convenient.” her clawed finger’s traced her cheek, nearly brushing the black mark beneath her eye as she smirked, feeling no more damage there or anywhere.

“It’s not so far fetched, I mean if a forged Deity like me can have family than why can’t someone born a god have family as well?” after-all just because she became a goddess did not mean her mother never existed, her father vanished or anything else! Instead it simply meant they were family members of a god, if she could have family, then so could Leila. The only thing that Jiyu wished in this instance was that the eden girl would have gotten to meet this other girl. “She would have liked your tail-” it was right than when Jiyu realized this girl knew her name and everything, yet she did not actually know what to call the fox tailed girl standing before her.

As they wasted a bit of time, Jiyu rubbed one of her feather’s, deciding she would indeed fly to the Lycan Forest, tossing the item so it could enlarge.

This girl sure was something if she could chuckle like that right after saying that she can even take revenge on her fellow mates in a guild that she was part of. Or perhaps that was yet another trait of their godhood. After all, Noheme could be like that too sometimes. She could only see other deities as equals and everyone else should better listen to her! Because if they did not, then she would make sure that they would feel pain in the upcoming days or even moments. Were all gods arrogant like that? Was the Eden's goddess Leila like that too? Well... there was not too much of a point in learning about those that were gone forever. It would simply serve no purpose at all, safe for driving Noheme herself even deeper into the dark thoughts. Which was why she did not ask out loud, she did not desire to know more about her dead sister, no matter if she was a real sibling or not. For now, she should focus on the reality in front of her and figure that out. "I merely approached you so that I could ask the question that I asked. I knew that if I were to use common methods, you would probably refuse to talk, so I had to overpower you first. Killing me in that moment you had would result in my mortal vessel stopping being useful, sending me back into the Astral Realm. I would not bother with approaching you again after that... it would be useless. I'm sure that my father would give me the answer instead of you eventually. I simply wanted to hear it from you directly." That was the basic idea of their encounter here. And with everything done, there was really nothing keeping Noheme here anymore. She could have left no problem. And yet, she somehow did not want to.

She wished to spend a little bit longer at this one's side, despite her defiant nature. Perhaps it was because of their similar status that she could tolerate it all, as if she was a regular human or some other being, she would already try to get her into submission. But not this time. She was even far too emotionally exhausted to be flirting with anyone right now. Truly a unique and very rare situation to be in, not that Jiyu would know. Noheme was the one who knew much more than she should have in this situation, even being partially aware of the different personas inside of her. After all, she had to catch the correct one if she wanted to get a proper answer to her question. "I don't care which one of you is present or what that one will want to do, but... every single one of you could be dead where you stand." And it was not a lie. The fox girl was confident in her combat ability just as much as Jiyu was, but there was a big difference between them. What was one's weakness was the other one's strength. They got a lovely display of that not too long ago when the goddess grabbed her prey and completely stopped her with just that. And after getting hurt so much just by falling onto the ground, just how many direct hits could she really take? That was the focus of Noheme's selfish darkness, it relied on direct melee contact instead of the usual destructive spells. Perhaps that made her weaker than most, yes... but in certain situations, she would gain enormous advantage. Just like mere moments ago... But, well, there was really no reason to be testing that theory right now. There would surely be plenty more time for them to kill one another later and for much better reason than just testing things.

With a sigh, the fox girl made sure her new partner was fully healed with her gaze before she would look up into the skies. It seemed that the wind girl had some toys with her that she could use for her own advantage. And it did seem like flying would be much better than going somewhere by feet or even vehicle. Shrugging for a moment, Noheme too would perform one of her tricks. That being the mastery of perfect movement where even air itself could act as a solid ground for her. Able to easily walk on nothing, she would jump into the air next to the floating feather and observe it for a moment before starting to walk next to it at the same speed as if it was no big deal and completely normal occurrence in your everyday life. Well, it was true that the goddess did not really know what was normal and what was not, she one could not blame her for not figuring this out just yet. Her journey was still at it's start it seemed. And then, a mention of Leila again. This time, the girl said the dead sister would have liked her fluffy tail. Somehow, that made Noheme blush and turn her head away from her in that mild embarrassment.

Post by Jiyu Kazehime 26th January 2017, 12:01 pm

Jiyu was something but if that was a good or bad thing remained to be discovered considering how new she was to life once more. Even if she was biologically and mentally pretty much an adult? The young woman was an infant in terms of being a deity, the new power she wielded was very much being controlled by a toddler in terms of ability to control it! Kazehime was clearly a powerful existence even Noheme herself seemed to recognize that, but she was under performing and barely even aware of it. The wind witch could do so many things from possession to shape shifting and yet most of it remained just out of her knowledge. Hopefully she would gain some control over her new magic, before it did something wrong and she ended up in a bad situation again, at least this time she knew to avoid promising anyone anything, due to her ability to make contracts. Jiyu never wanted to make another contract again! Even if it was one of the main ways inugamis grew their strength and controlled the world around them? Kazehime wanted nothing to do with it.

From what Noheme was saying the other goddess should vanish now, leave and never return to her sights. However? This did not happen, the fox stood there and Kazehime could already see the direction this was heading. Should she be afraid? One sister had grown close to her and it cost her life! What if she accidentally did something to bring harm to the only known remaining relative. Could she forgive herself if that sort of thing happened? Jiyu was not sure and she certainly was unsure on it she wanted to find out or not. The entire time she stood thinking her assertive side constantly asked if she wanted assistance in the current matter before them. Clearly mysterious refused her since the markings on jiyus face still happened to be black, signaling the main face was still in charge.

The one of them wanted to spend more time alongside the other, search out kinship, friendship from the spirit of revenge. Yet? The soul that lived of negativity, was terrified of the astral goddess, it did not show but simply looking at the other girl, frightened her because now she could think into the future further than she once had been able to. Jiyu did not want to end up causing harm to Noheme! At least one side of her didn't want to cause any harm, the other three had not made up their minds yet, which was troublesome because she hated being divided after they had all started getting along. The threat made by Noheme was numbed out by the worries in Jiyus own head. “So could you. I'm not the safest person to hang out with.” The foxes sister had already proven that and glaze in jiyus eyes showed it was what she was thinking of. “Don't say anything just know you should never swear anything to me and I'm not responsible for your safety.” She had wanted to protect Leila and since she had failed the witch did not want to give anyone else the impression she was reliable for anything.

The canine shook her body out as she say on top of her feather with maka still perched on her shoulder. Kazehime glanced over at the goddess beside her and sighed slightly. “Stop expending your energy to pull some stunt like that, sit, it's fully capable of holding both of us.” Because honestly maka did not count as a
Passenger cause the kitsune did not even weigh barely two pounds and Jiyu herself was exceptionally light. Thus she invited Noheme to sit with her for part of the journey to their destination because the more energy they both saved now the easier defeating enemies would be. Kazehime was once reckless with any mission she took on and even though she would still appear reckless in almost all of her actions? The canine had learned a degree of care and caution, well relearned it, she had even been thinking of starting to read again! Something she had not done since she was seven years old, expect for her spell book which became less useful the more her winds were corrupted by her Inugami magic. “We're almost there we have to land now so enemies don't spot us.”

Jiyu had no idea what they were going to face on this mission. In fact? She had no idea what she was looking for and that could easily become disturbing, dangerous. Seriously! The magic council were giant jerk wads for sending her into this so blind! Kazehime hated having no info about things, even if she did not yet read up on things the witch ease dropped incredibly well and often found all the info she needed for a mission in this way, it was somewhat inconvenient sometimes but it always worked for her! Yet because of her mopping she had not done so, and now she was regretting it, being given only a location was not fun. Oh well at least she was not alone on this one, the conditions of obtaining an ally sucked, but she did much prefer going in blind when she had someone with her.

Powers of a god were always great in scales and incredibly difficult to master if you were not someone that knew them from the birth. Meaning that Noheme somewhat knew how this girl could fare in combat and what trouble she was going through. Especially considering her origin as a whole. One god was not the same as the other god, everyone was unique in some aspect and that went for these two as well. While Noheme was considered to be the two-faced goddess of a moon, she really possessed only one face and that was her true self. But the Inugami was quartered, different emotions taking over different personas and parts of the power. It would be difficult to exactly explain how these things worked, and why they were this way, but there was one thing that could be said about it all. It sucked bad. Hiding several other beings that could burst out at any moment? It could not possibly be a good feeling at all. As if you yourself were crumbing into pieces and those different pieces gaining their own purpose and consciousness. And as Jiyu herself said, one of those pieces was actually extremely dangerous as well. Not that it mattered to the fox girl who was sure that she could fight off anyone. In fact, Noheme loved fighting, especially when she was put up against expressive enemies. So an assertive being with true blood lust would be one of the better opponents she could face and be entertained by. But as she already thought, this was no place, nor time to be testing and fighting. For they had to protect those of Earthland from harm, or at least that seemed to be the goal of this unknown mission. And it was something that the goddess was not really opposed to, as her mission in this world was to actually learn about humanity.

And how could she possibly do that if they were all dead because of something stupid that could have been stopped? Yes, someone like herself should definitely be able to stop any kind of thread that could wipe out humans. She already stopped one such thread after all, though she did not do that alone. A different dog demon happened to be there to help her, which now seemed somewhat ironic. And yet, a smirk crossed the girl's face, finally chasing away that gloomy expression as she heard Jiyu's words. "Do you really think I came here expecting that someone would be responsible for my safety? Of course I didn't, I've always only relied on my own power! The power that got me this far and protected me always, ensured my victory. I am powerful, Jiyu Kazehime. I am a god! No matter your own powers or those of the enemy, I shall stand victorious in the end. You've nothing to worry about at all... yeah, I'm a god as well. I don't know exactly what powers you wield, but even if they were to try and affect me, I could break free and defend myself. Even from cursed promises." It probably was something like that if the girl spoke of promising in such worrying manner. The fox girl read something about curses and such in a book before she left her tribe in Joya, but since she never dabbled in that area, she had no idea how they actually worked. But if it was anything like her own brand, then it would surely be possible for her to break any cursed promises thrown at her, given enough time and powered would be gathered. Yeah... she had a quest to understand the humanity itself. A task that would take much longer to complete than even those famous 100Y graded jobs. So she could absolutely not afford to die here, not yet!

When they were in the air, she sighed quietly as she was spoken to and asked to sit down beside her partner. She hesitated for a moment, but in the end, she did just as she was told and sat down behind Jyiu, her legs hanging down over the edge of the feather. It was a strange item, but it clearly worked. When one could not fly by themselves, then they could rely on contraptions such as this one, huh? It was interesting to say the least. Though there was really no reason for her to be actually sitting on it, as her perfect movement was something that used her Astral energy as a source. A source that was nearly infinite unlike the actual magic power inside of her mortal body. But never mind that, she tried to relax a bit. Her old personality finally started returning a bit by bit as her big, fluffy tail slowly wrapped around the other girl without Noheme even properly realizing it. Yes, she was sitting next to an adorable shorter female that she would normally totally try to charm. But if she tried it now, well... it would not end well. So even if she was getting back to normal, she made sure to hold back. Not that she had much time, as they approached the woods rather swiftly. And even from that height, the moon goddess managed to spot something down below them. A figure heading somewhere. Not really waiting for the feather to descend, she jumped down and landed on the ground like a cat, only leaving marks of her hands and legs buried in the dirt. And some distance in front of her, an ancient door-like structure that had active teleportation gate activate. And that something she spotted just went in! Was that the enemy? Most likely... so there was no time to waste, she had to enter and follow their mark.

"It's right here! Move in before they escape!" Informing Jiyu of her find in rather vague manner, Noheme started sprinting towards the gate and lept into it. What waited on the other side... was a world far too familiar to the four-faced dog goddess. A vast garden that consisted of azure blue grass and silver trees with leaves of the same blue color. Only it looked even more ruined than the last time. But not by the corruption that served as Lisette's home, it was burning with toxic green flames. Something that was caused by forces outside of this world. And strangely, even though the moon goddess was in this place for the very first time, it felt rather familiar. And the magical power she felt from everything around? It was nearly identical to her own, yet different ever so slightly. Still, it formed rather strong sense of familiarity. Jiyu probably crossed the gate at this point too. A fresh wind blew over the clearing where they were standing, a small mountain-like meadow that overlooked the azure blue forests. And in front of them, something like a ghost appearing out of nowhere. A figure of child-like being, but blue in color and transparent. It was not really here, it was merely a magical imagine send from distance. Noheme did not recognize it at all, but Jiyu probably did. It was Yuki, the guardian of local god that was no more. "If anyone is there, heed this message! The Gardens of Eden are under attack by an unknown force that is seemingly searching for something. Lest you want to lose your life, turn back now!" After it was said, the hologram simply disappeared and another explosion in the distance shook the ground. There was no doubt that this world had seen better days.

If Noheme wanted to learn about humanity? Being beside the wind user was actually a very good thing for her, because despite having never been human, there was a time where Jiyu had believed herself to be mortal, lived just like them. Kazehime was a goddess with the emotions and logical process of any mere mortal, sometimes she acted like a higher being, but unlike someone born into being a god, she always returned to trying to just be a young woman trying to make her way in the world. Of course? Maybe even deities were like that, struggling to find their own place in a world that had so strictly already assigned their place. Perhaps that was why Noheme had not simply just left? The fox might be starting to grow tired of being bossed around and manipulated by the existence that had given her the information that led her here, wanted to find some way to break herself free of that grip. If that ever did end up being the dual haired girls idea, than the Inugami might just happily show her how to tell the whole world to burn and be just alright with that, how to live only for yourself. Than prove that such a life was impossible and it was only the illusion you could make when you had a loved one there standing at your back allowing your reckless behavior, someone to hold you at night, someplace to return home to. Everyone needed something and the better she could one day understand the motives of any existence, the better Jiyu would one day be able to manipulate them to her own will, something Inugami liked doing very much.

The fading of the other girl's expression of gloom brought a small smirk to the pale pink lips of the canine female, small chuckle escaping from her lips. Honestly Jiyu did not care what of the words she spoke brought about the change, it was just decent to not see a downtrodden expression on the other female. Especially since it seemed they could end up working together for at least this. “My promises are not cursed, it would be easy if they were. I could be blessed and it would be done. Inugami are forger’s of contracts, any swear or promise I make or is made to me can trigger one, and if a price for breaking the bond is not stated at the time of forging, the price is whatever is most treasured by one of those involved or someone’s very life.” she explained it briefly, chuckling as her feet swung against the edge of her feather, one hand brushing her long ebony strands from her face as the wind kept pushing them into her view and it was frankly quiet annoying. Maybe this girl was different, something about her was making Jiyu start to believe that maybe it could be safe for them to be around each other, despite her earlier apprehensions. Sitting here listening to Noheme? Felt almost comfortable.

The wind user was quite pleased when the fox girl chose to properly sit on her unnecessary transportation, since they were both capable of flight. Relaxing and winding down in this way while in transport to a potentially dangerous mission? Was something Jiyu found too good to ever pass up, the strain it took of the fact lives would likely rest in her hands soon, was immense. However she had once found another simple way of relaxation that was more available when she was spirited away, in another world she had met a pack of ookami, only four of them but they let Makoto and herself stay with them until they vanished from that world. Spending time with other canine’s in her natural state which she had been unable to achieve since? Had been so freeing, it made the canine very happy, and having another canid who was around her age instead of just Makoto who was much younger, it returned some of that feeling. Would she get this if she interacted closely with izayuki who was a tanuki, a canid, or was this restricted to being partly because of Noheme’s relation to someone else who had made the canine feel happy. “Huh?” the wind user’s eyes cut to the side slightly as she noticed a fluffy sensation against her mostly bare back, touching against her largely exposed legs. Quickly enough she noticed the orange and green object was the other girls tail, she had seen it earlier after-all. “I wonder which of our tails is fluffier.” the female chortled it out, lifting her own thickly furred apprentice and wagging it slightly, letting it come to lay likely across Noheme’s lap since space was semi tight and it would hurt to lay it over the other girls own tail. Since she was relaxed the canine did not even realize the danger she had just put herself in, ebony hair fluttering around her and eyes closed as she leaned back on her feather, seemingly over the rut Noheme had first found her in. The wind helped her forget things.

Watching her partner jump the wind user wondered what she had spotted, letting the wind carry her down, landing seconds later, but still missing whatever had been witnessed. The only thing Jiyu did know? “Our opponents are not living, they are metal.” she could smell metallic scents all around them and the trails all went to the gate that Noheme had pointed out to her, which confirmed that was the way they needed to head. Kazehime was much more comfy relying on her sense of smell and hearing than her vision, because her eyesight was extremely poor! “Wait up, you don’t just run through portals, you don’t know what's on the other side!” the canine froze up after she spoke, tensing as she realized that was something she had roughly heard before, that once she had been the person who those words were spoken to. Kazehime trembled slightly but shook it off, getting this wild look in her eyes. “You have to jump through them!” of course Noheme was not there by the time she spoke and the wind user had been entirely talking to herself on both statements, but the running leap into the portal she took, made her feel better as the magic tickled her skin. She was starting another adventure and it made the canine grin with the intent to crush any enemies that stood in the way of her power.

Everything was amazing until she came out of the portal and landed with a slight thud next to Noheme and saw where they had ended up. “No, No, No, No-” as the young woman looked around she near silently whispered that one phrase over and over again, mismatched eyes gazing around wide with tears forming in them. Even in it’s changed state? It was not hard for Jiyu to realize where they were and she did not want to be here, not now, not alone, not without Leila! The tears started leaking and she backed up as if she wanted to retreat from the world, flee through the portal and never look back, it was exactly what she wanted to do and likely best for her mental health. The canine broke down right there, tears flowing freely once more from her mismatched optics, fangs biting into her lips and bringing blood as her eyes screwed shut and she hugged her struggling form. It was difficult for Kazehime to adjust to eden, between her poor sight and the lack of electrical field, she could not navigate this place, so she stumbled before crumbling to the ground, clearly having no sense of placement from one clawed hand digging into the ground. “This is my fault, this would have never happened to the garden if-” Leila was alive to feel it happening, know something was invading her realm. Heck the girl had assumed this realm crumbled when her best friend did! Was there a chance? This realm bore Leila, so long as it was here, even if it was thousands of years from now, it would rebirth her right?! The canine had an almost insane look in her eyes as she looked up at Yuki’s hologram. “No Yuki, I am not going to run, I’m going to protect the gardens!” it was a sudden sharp statement from the seemingly burned out sorceress, there was a major piece of Leila left and it was being defiled, it was making her so angry that she was considering just letting her assertive face take control and deal out their wrath on this place. How dare anyone bring harm to what belonged to the former Eden Mage, it was wrong and Jiyu wanted to hear them scream in agony beneath her claws as she slowly tortured them until there was no life left in the terrified eyes staring up at her, whoever did this did not deserve life. “I can’t let this place fall, it was her’s and still is, if she’s not here to protect it, I will.” determination set in her eyes she forced herself to stand up and tried to walk forward, but went to the side by mistake, clearly something was messing with her ability to directions apart.

Noheme dove deep into her thoughts for a moment. Jiyu explain her powers of contracts and it instantly made the moon goddess think of her own power. After all, it seemed very similar with only few minor differences here and there, but the origin of that ability surely lied in the very same field. "I guess that must be a trait of most higher beings then. Sounds awful lot like my branding, though I can make the contract only one-sided with only the branded one promising something if they're especially loyal to my figure. Doesn't happen all that often outside of my tribe thought, and it takes time before new humans are born and ready for the brand to adorn them as I watch over their well-being." In all honesty, that was how it worked between her and her worshipers back in Joya. Her brand, a mark on one's body and the symbol of active contract was more like a blessing in their eyes. After all, it was done by someone they were looking up to, devoting their very lives to. So she would brand them in exchange for promises like they would take care of her shrines until the end of their lives, or something similar to that. Silly promises that they would not have too many problems fulfilling. Because if they were to break their promises, it would end in very similar fashion to contracts formed by Jiyu it seemed. Their whole life would be torn apart by the magic, unless Noheme were to void the entire contract. Which she was capable of doing, in fact, she was somewhat capable of completely breaking apart even contracts that were not formed by herself. In that way, she could probably help the young goddess out quite a bit. Though she never actually tried doing so, so it would be a bit of an experiment.

In any case, she tried to enjoy her experience on the feather at least a little bit. And hopefully Jiyu's fragile nature wasn't so bad that simple swipe of her tail could hurt the girl and scratch her or something. It actually sounded like something really inconvenient. Well, every weakness was like that, but this was going to extreme. Was she not even properly able to hug other people because of that body of hers? Perhaps she should have just chosen a different vessel for her adventures then. That was what Noheme thought, not really aware of the fact that other gods are not quite the same as she. The moon goddess had a body made out of pure divine energy and that body was not capable of actually existing in Earthland the way it could exist in her Astral Realm. Because of that, she needed a mortal vessel. An empty body that she almost wore like armor, one that would act as her hands and feet. In simpler therms, it was as if she was a ghost possessing a dead body that happened to be still quite warm and not really decomposing. It actually made her wonder what exactly would happen if someone would try to possess her body. Since the same situation as in that haunted house she had to clear out in the past could not really occur in this regular reality, she wasn't really sure. It would probably create a power struggle between the two souls, fight over control of this body. But even if someone was to get that body of hers, it would be of no use to them. Unlike many mortals, her magic was actually bound to her soul, not to the living flesh. So even if she were to get a completely new vessel, her magic would still be there and she would be capable of using it as easily as ever without any problems. Really handy that was. Something many people should try to achieve, just for the sake of not having to worry sometimes.

But that was already getting quite far from the topic. Right now, they were enjoying their little journey. And even Jiyu's tail landed on the goddess' lap along with her question as to which one was fluffier. Sure, the dog's tail was something. But looking behind her, it always surprised the girl just how much volume did her tail have. It was enormous and could probably be easily used as a pillow or even sheets. "I don't think that's even a contest..." she replied with small smile on her face, looking more melancholy than anything else for some reason. Thankfully she didn't have to be like that for too long, as they got closer to the gate. And yes, just as the small girl predicted, Noheme was in too great of a hurry to even listen to the words of advice and warning. They were all but noises of the world around her as she focused solely on her target. But once on the other side, there was no sight of the enemy. They clearly moved fast, so they had to follow just as quickly. But that was not rightly possible with the wind witch suddenly collapsing like that, nearly falling apart on the mere sight of this place. And with all that she was saying, it was rather obvious that this was not the first time she saw this place. And furthermore... with how familiar this dimension felt and what the girl mentioned, even the moon goddess could piece this puzzle together. It belonged to Leila, did it not? It was her world, just like the Astral one was Noheme's. It made the fox girl bite her lip lightly, but not enough to actually draw blood. "Who cares who's fault was what in the past. Right now, it will be your fault if this place gets destroyed because you didn't act quick enough. Pick yourself together! We're heading straight for them!"

The goddess did her best to hide what joy she had from this. She was only happy that she could see this world, how different it was from her own. And that she could fight again, tear the enemies apart and hopefully feel satisfaction. Not really waiting for the sobbing dog girl, Noheme started sprinting towards where the giant explosion happened. She ran and ran, until yet another hologram appeared. And hopefully Jiyu managed to follow at least somehow, because Yuki's words were clearly important to her. "I've no notion of who you are, but should return. Let this world fall, for it serves no purpose any longer. The spirits that lived here perished all, me being the only exception as the last guardian. There is no reason for this world to continue, for the one who created it and us is no more. Retreat and at least save yourselves." With that, the hologram disappeared once again, only to reveal a makeshift grave. Nothing too grandiose, in fact, it looked rather sad. A simple tombstone made out of white rock, a name engraved on it. "Harpae, the spirit of blind devotion and protection" Tis' was all that was written on it. But there was no actual grave in true sense of the word, nothing buried beneath or around it. Indicating that there was simply no body they could bury, or there was a reason entirely different. Noheme had no way of knowing, so she dared not to assume. Instead, she just looked around to see how her partner would react to it. If she knew this world so well, then perhaps she would even know it's residence. In that case, this could strike her hard as well. But it only seemed natural... Leila was the one who created this world and even the spirits within when she first obtained her powers. If she was gone, then this world and the spirits had absolutely no reason in existing whatsoever. Their death was only... natural at that point.

The winder user was not one to think very much about things in this world, she only thought enough to keep the upper hand. In this way? She would be able to keep existing without the weight of all of those things on her mind. Well this actually partly false  because these things did remain, they went to the memories that her assertive side held control over and thus the face Jiyu normally wore was protected from them. Most of the Inugami’s personalities were unable to handle the stress of all the bad thing’s that they witnessed as they went through life as a mage.

The first opponents to appear in front of the small group who had entered Eden without being aware that was where they were heading? Those who had eventually been given an incentive to stay around and save it themselves, regardless of that fact its goddess was no more. Eventually this world would likely decay into simple black space, but the wind user did not want to see that process accelerated in fact she would find a way to freeze it in time if she could. However one could not just freely freeze an entire world as they wanted, so at the very least she had to find some way to prevent the decay from accelerating. Anyways back to the tiny seemingly innocent opponent’s that appeared en masse right in front of the two girls and the kitsune. The tiny creatures creatures were something resembling chickens but they were really patchy looking considering they were made of cogs and plates, simple items that were not exactly the cutting edge in robotics building.  “Getting up is harder than most people make it out to be.” she laughed it idly as she stood shakily. In this world? Getting up was very difficult for Jiyu because she could not tell which direction was which, it was easy enough to fire a spell straight but everything else was not quite as easy. “This world messes with my senses.” she had to admit it or else things would become difficult to deal with, it would be impossible for her to navigate properly since there was no electrical field for her to go off here.

Yuki did not remember who she was at all and that was hard to believe or accept, that this world was that rotted by now, the gravestone for the blind spirit doing weird things to her head. Even if they had just been leila’s spirits to most, the female canine eventually still had come to think of them as real individuals! The female did not want to see this world die or decay nor was she prepared to see anything like this, she did not want to have this stuff the girl wanted to forget all of this. “We have to help through I can’t walk without being guided because this world lacks electrical fields and that's how I navigate.” without the fields normally present on earthland and other places? Jiyu was just about screwed intensely.

Yes, this world was quite different from Earthland. But in a sense, it was very similar to the Astral Realm, a world that Noheme herself created with the power that was gifted to her by the mysterious man. In that way, she was exactly the same way as Leila. They both started out in the dimensional gap, a black space where nothing normal could survive. They were born there and left alone for the longest time. But then they were both rescued by a powerful force, granted enough strength to form an entire world from scratch. Just what was the purpose for all of that? What did these mysterious beings gain by gifting others power to form new world? The answer probably wasn't lying around here so there was really no point in seeking it. Instead, she should focus on what was around her. The withering Gardens of Eden, slowly transforming into one giant graveyard. Without the god of this world, everything was slowly fading away. But the world itself would most likely stay, preserve itself. After all, she knew her Astral Realm. And with all the similarities, it would be only natural to assume that even this dimension was partially sentient and self-sufficient in case something like this were to happen. Even if the spirits that were created by the Eden's goddess were gone, the world itself would move on. It was kinda sad when you thought about it like that. Abandoned and devoid of life, but the Gardens would continue their everlasting blood and growth. Sad and beautiful at the same time. It seemed like that was the nature of their story, no matter how hard they would try to avoid it or perhaps even change it completely. For something like destiny could not be changed for as long as you believed in it yourself.

Gazing down on the four faced god that Noheme was helping, she could only smile with sadness in her eyes. Was she no different? No, her birth origin was completely different. So perhaps her journey could end differently than in bitter sacrifice. After all, she was holding the memories of her fallen friends close to her heart. So as long as she would remember, she should do everything in her powers to not get lost, to continue on her path forward without dying. Finally, that sad smile would grow into a grin. "Maybe you should start working on your other senses as well. My world is just like this one, or perhaps even more different from Earthland. If I were to ever invite you for a cup of tea, you would have some serious problems!" A little teasing remark as they would embark on their journey through this fascinating place. Once they arrived to the graves, the moon goddess thought that her companion would react quite harshly to what they found. But instead, it seemed like she was doing her best to not mention it, ignore it almost. Was this just far too saddening for her to see and thinking about? It certainly was a possibility and the fox girl would not blame her. She would grieve as well if someone she knew were to perish like that, a useless death almost. So for now, she would just stop holding Jiyu's frail body for a moment, coating a good chunk of her body with darkness as well as summoning a chain that was wrapped around her right arm. "So that's the enemy, huh? Not what I expected to be honest... fighting machines is no fun at all... The end of her sentence was said in rather low tone, almost unhearable one. It was because she didn't want the grieving girl to hear.

She was here to honor her friend and drive out the forces that were plaguing this world. Mentions of Noheme loving fights where her enemies are expressive as they scream out in pain would probably not help the situation in the slightest. So instead, she would just try to focus on the battle, not really caring about enjoying herself too much. This was not a playground and this was not a game... it was a duty that had to be fulfilled. Taking a step back and swinging her arm in a swift motion, the chain quickly covered a wide area, tearing the chicken-like machines apart only to leave a brief green smoke where they once stood. In few seconds, she took out most of them with ease. But as she planned to take care of the rest, something caught her attention, her ears twitching rapidly for a moment. Looking up, the goddess' eyes widened, her figure quickly sprinting towards Jiyu and grabbing her. She had to push her out of the way, but she also knew of how frail that body was. So she would jump down to the ground, creating a pillow out of her own body for the smaller female as the area behind them exploded in a green flame. "A frigging mortar?! Do they have an artillery here or something? I know they are probably heavily armed machines here, but.. goodness..." Thankfully the grave wasn't damaged either. But it was really damn close to being and another one of those shots in this area would probably wipe it's frail structure from the face of the Gardens. They had to move further into the forest if they wished to find the rest of the enemies and whatever shot that rocket at them from probably insanely big distance.

The gardens were such a different place from anywhere Jiyu had ever seen on earth land. Everything in this place had seemed to match her now deceased friend, suited perfectly to compliment the silvery hair that faded to translucence at the ends and the light blue orbs which had been the other girl's eyes. Last time Jiyu had been here? It was a warm place despite how messed up things were for her due to the inability she had to keep herself walking straight. Now as she knelt in the slowly wilting grass the female could not sense that same warmth, she couldn’t sense anything near it. The only thing Kazehime could sense around her? Was empty foreboding as she bit her bottom lip and hugged one claws hand around the shoulder opposite to it, breathing out of her control as the tears streamed down her face, optics staring away at the space in front of them, her method of standing up wobbly and hardly acceptable. One glance at Jiyu? Suggested she could fall back down at any second and even when she did stop crying, one could still see the tears locked within her mismatched eyes, almost as if they were taunting her by complying with her wish not to sob so openly in front of someone who had more right to miss Leila than she herself did.

Jiyu glanced at Noheme as the fox eared girl spoke to her, trying to find her bearings instead of truly paying attention, preserve pride she did not have at this point. No matter how hard she tried though? It was impossible for Jiyu to easily navigate the area with this realm, if it was even possible for her to make her own way around it. At the end of the day, the wind user was not human in any sense of the word, and thus her sense of direction was engineered differently from most, she pretty much entirely relied on electrical fields and without those the young woman was entirely screwed, like she was right now. “It’s not that easy for me.” she breathed it out, wobbling around as she remotely tried to take a step forward, ending up nearly falling over. If anything? Jiyu looked as if she was drunk or something, eyes focusing on the things around her, something she did not normally do since her vision was so poor. Every day she went through life relying on her non human senses and ignoring the one’s that were weaker due to her canine traits. Right now it was pretty damn hard to ignore the fact she could barely see the area around them and could not walk straight.

Whispering something right near a dog demon whom you did not intend to hear you? Was not very effective since their sense of hearing had a much larger range that humans. However the foxy female got lucky because Kazehime was in no mental state to be paying that much attention. The girls main concern? Was taking down these beasts before her suddenly red nails became something more troubling. “We have to do this quick, alright Noheme? She’s trying to come out.” apparently she was not the only face upset at what had happened, but she still did not trust her assertive side to spare anyone who should be spared. Heck? For all she knew it might attack her partner.

As the flames from the attack towards them consumed the area behind them? Jiyu’s eyes widened as her face paled. Maybe she should have mentioned being afraid of any form of flames sooner? The wind user was suddenly unconscious in Noheme’s arms, a tense expression on her face and a small whimper, one hand fisted in the other girls clothing. One of these days she would be stronger, but right now pretty much any fire? Was enough to frighten her, she still didn’t use candles herself.

The charred ground behind them burned with green flames from the mortar. It consumed the lush, azure colored grass as well as trees around it. But as soon as the four faced goddess fell into her forced sleep, something strange started happening. A comforting green aura would start surrounding the fox girl, forcing her into a confused state as well. This was not her doing and she had no idea what was going on. At least for the first few seconds until the aura started spreading and putting out the flames completely. And without fire destroying the nature here, the grass would start growing once more at a rapid pace. Not even few seconds passed and the palce looked just how it was before. And Noheme could only stare at the beauty in awe. "The world itself is not dead yet..." she spoke those words and looked down at the other beauty that was in her arms now, still passed out. And she almost jumped back in shock and surprise! Strange black and white markings were adorning the black-haired girl's body. They were everywhere, forming intricate patters and symbols that no one else would be capable of recognizing. But the moon goddess could. After all, she had a spell like that herself. One that she did not thing she would ever use. But Leila surely thought the same thing. The sacrifice magic of highest tier. It was a seal that was once the Eden's goddess. They were together all this time. And simply looking at all this, even the fox girl managed to solve the puzzle. The reason why was her sister not reviving after she used that spell, after she sealed one of the faces away. Or at least calmed it a bit. It made her laugh. Laughter that could not be heard by none, as there was no one else around but the sleeping princess.

"Ah, I see. So she gave up her divine form for you after all. Every other time, she simply eradicated her own physical form, which allowed her to be reborn once more because her true divine body was still intact. But for you, she truly did sacrifice everything. I wonder... if you really deserve it. Just for one single person. The only one that could save her now is..." she stopped. Not only was she talking to no one, she also realized something which quickly shifted her expression into something much more negative. Her sharp teeth would grind against one another as she looked up into the skies. All she saw was a darkness and slowly fading starts surrounding a transparent moon. As the spirits died one after another, the starts were slowly disappearing and the moon was no longer shining as strong as it once was. The moon... "Me..." And the dark down below this world. The abyss. So they were connected all along, but never realized. How twisted could they creator be? What game was he actually playing here? His motives and true extend of power were unknown even to the goddess. But she knew what her own goals were. She wanted to kill him and take it all back, even if it really was impossible now. With a sigh, she would start walking forward as her train of thoughts shifted into a different direction. "You're right and wrong. It should be ended quickly, but there is no 'we' in there. I alone will do this, for that is my task." Not that it she could hear it all. But if she were to wake up, it would probably bring problems for both of them. So the moon goddess would find another solution to this problem and she indeed had one. A cruel solution befitting her dark nature which was hidden from light of day.

Placing one of her hands on Jiyu's forehead, an extra eye would open on that very palm. A spell that was normally used to force someone's unpleasant memories to come forth, putting her victims into position where they had to relive the worst moments of their lives. But this time, the effect was nothing short of opposite. The eye would search for everything pleasant, as the images projected into Noheme's mind as well. The moment Marschal saved her, when she met Leila, their journey together and much more. And just like that, a pleasant dream was formed. A dream that should keep the girl asleep for quite some time. At least until this whole mess would be resolved. "I can see why she liked you, you know? Just from those memories... she lived a good life. She walked a path that I am trying to get on as well. Simple path of mortal life, one filled with happiness and sadness at the same time. One that follows both good and bad. Path filled with friendship and enemies. It had it all. She was content. But in the end, it all fell apart, did it now? I wonder if we're simply not fated to have a life like that. No... surely we can grab fate into our own hands and direct it however we ourselves want. But now that she is gone, it is my duty to protect this place in her stead, for we are sisters bound by our very existence! Continue your slumber, for I will have them all burn in the black flames of despair for what they did!" They walked towards the burning meadow from where the previous attack came as the girl talked. It was unknown to her what dream the four faced goddess was having, but it surely was a pleasant one. Even if she was friend with Leila and even if the Eden's goddess sacrificed herself for her, it was not her place to protect this world. Because it was the exact same being as the moon goddess that formed it. Sisters that had to walk side by side to conquer their enemies.

And finally they arrived. Looking at this place, it truly was horrid. The green flames were consuming the grass and trees, burning brightly and with venomous feeling. Twisted clockworks were all over the place, surrounding a nightmarish construct that was the source of all the destruction. Carefully laying the fragile girl against a tree, Noheme would let her rest in the comfortable grass. "All you have to do is wait. Your presence alone in this world can mend it because of the seal. It still has her powers after all. So just sit here motionless and bring this world back to life while I'll deal with these walking problems." Those were the last words she spoke to the girl named Jiyu Kazehime. The rest would only be a fight to the death. And so, the moon goddess would steel herself and walk forward with her head held high. And as the magical moon illuminated the battlefield, her green hair appeared silver and almost partially transparent, swaying in the gentle waves of wind. Eight orbs formed around her back, dancing to the melody of crackling flames, power that Leila herself gained towards the end of her journey. Power of gods that were born from raw magical energy, molded by Lilith - the miracle demon and god. And as the gap between herself and her enemies started growing closer, strange questions started filling the girl's mind. Questions formed by what she saw in the dog girl's memory. How did it feel when you first found out about your demonic powers? They asked. How were you acting when you faced against angels with your beloved partner by your side? It questioned. How happy were you when she gave up her everything for you and you only? She laughed.

A knight like machine approached and attempted to swing at the goddess with it's halberd, but quickly stopped. The whole space around them suddenly became dark, strange crimson markings adorning now formed walls of a cube that indicated their battlefield. And every single machine turned towards Noheme, as they were all affected by it, their artificial life being sapped away by the barrier in amount that was definitely not insignificant. And before the knight could properly move again, a darkness coated hand pierced it's stomach. That alone was not enough to stop the machine completely, but even it's head was soon crushed completely between two of the dark orbs, a third one forming a black sword in the fox girl's hand. Somehow, an image of a young, green haired lady appeared in her mind when she observed the sword that formed almost automatically. A memory? She and Leila shared this power, perhaps it was sentient as well and kept certain events in it's hidden mind. She sure had an interesting journey, did she not? Letting go of the motionless machine that fell to the ground, the dark god would continue walking forward. At least five more enemies would approach, all looking like jellyfish machines. But the goddess only smiled, a shade starting to form by her side. "Let us cleanse these fools, sister." A dark, semi-transparent version of Leila would form by the fox girl's side and not. It was not really her, merely an imitation formed by the powers of dark. But at least in this form, she could be present here and save her own world. Noheme's appearance too, would slowly start shifting as black flames started to consume her body, giving her a completely different look. It was good that the four faced goddess was not around for this, for she would probably faint once more.

    Dark Appearance:

A perfect performance. The team work performed by the two dark beings was nothing short of that, as they were linked together and could read one another's mind. And they smiled as the darkness pierced the machines, breaking them apart one by one along with the dark orbs that were floating around, occasionally hitting the machines and tearing them apart, crushing the metal plates and cogs that were spinning inside. It was strange, actually. The girl did not feel anger, nor wrath anymore. It was as if she was at completely piece, her movements natural and following already predetermined path, like a flow of water in a complete darkness. All the while, a green aura surrounded the dark goddess, whispering sweetness into her ears without even having her realize it all. Ah, how pleasant it all was. The joy for battle was completely gone. The dread following her for as long as they were here, completely gone. And all the negative feelings that she harbored, everything simply vanished. Only strange happiness remained. Was this the nature of Gardens of Eden? The world that her sister created with the same power that Noheme used to create her Astral Realm. It was laughable how much more creativity Leila had. The Astral realm was nothing more than set of floating islands in orange oblivion. And everything atop the unstable ground was very much reminiscent of Earthland. Green grass, green trees and completely normal buildings. Even the spirits there looked mostly like regular animals you would find in Fiore. Well, it was alright. After all, this place was not yet lost. Surely the moon goddess could enjoy it as much as she wished to once this was all over. Feel what her sister felt when she was ruling this place.

Finally, all the machines would fall to the ground and only two remained. Another knight, accompanied by that leading machine who was trying to burn this place to the ground. As the humanoid clockwork approach, a chain formed around the fox girl's hand as she swung it, making it take a hold of the enemy's foot and lift it into the air. Swinging it around, the knight quickly crashed into the machine that was labeled as 'MAMA' on one of it's parts. It damaged them both, but not to the point where either one would stop working. At least until the point where MAMA itself pierced the knight machine with one of it's sharp legs, dismantling it completely. They clearly lacked any kind of emotion or reason. Why were they in this world, she had no idea. But she knew that she had to dispatch of this thing. The eight orbs would form one giant spike in the air as it quickly flew down to the ground, piercing the machine as much as one could pierce such a twisted horror of parts and cables everywhere. That was her chance too! Quickly sprinting towards it, the enemy suddenly exposed several flamethrowers and formed a searing wall of pain. But the moon goddess did not care in the slightest. Covering her face, she jumped through the flames. And as she got closer to it's body, a great sword formed in her hands, allowing her cut through the weaponry. One of the many arms that were present on the beast suddenly swung forward and managed to send the goddess flying. But that was fine. At this point, it wasp probably damaged enough for the finished. After all, Noheme was using all the power she had to conquer this one, send it into it's eternal slumber! A smug smile appeared on her face as she placed her hands on the charred ground.

Her appearance started shifting even more, eight more tails forming on her body as the magical energy itself started shaking the earth they were standing on. "You'll be the one who will be reduced to ashes here! Repent!" A spark of flames and a burning trail that suddenly made it's way towards 'MAMA'. And as soon as they touched, a giant column of flames would shoot up into the heavens, consuming the machine completely. It's heat was enough to wither away the remaining grass and leaves on trees that were around, even coloring the trees in the distance completely black. And soon, it was all over. Only a melted piece of metal remained, completely destroyed and not capable of functioning any further. With an exhausted sigh, the goddess' appearance returned to normal. She would approach what was left of the enemy and sat down in front of it, cross-legged and serene. Suddenly, the nature would start crawling back. The trees that were destroyed sprouting anew in an instant, azure blue grass growing beneath their feet. Even the melted machine became covered in blue moss and flowers, as if it was laying there for centuries. And the same happened to Noheme too. Her body becoming pale instead of her usual tanned color, nature embracing her. She was completely fine, but she wished to remain here for a while. Even the shade that looked like her sister vanished by now, for the battle was over. Maybe Jiyu was awake at this point, or maybe not. She really did not care much. For she would remain here longer than the girl. Even with her problems of navigation, she should be able to find her way back to the gate that lead back to Earthland. So the moon goddess continued sitting there without any reaction or answer. And she would remain until the other girl left, for she had work to do in this realm. Work that should not be interrupted by bystanders, no matter how close they were to the Eden's ruler.

The wind user was clearly fighting to stay conscious when she woke up for a second, her mismatched eyes growing hazy and fighting to remain opened as she slumped against the place Noheme had propped her. “U-uugh.” the wind user tried to tell the other girl something, hearing about the seal wanting to ask if it was undone Leila would return. Of course the wind user understood without the seal she would likely die, but she was willing to lose her life because she was the one who died first and should have been the one to remain dead! However the fear of flames and power of Noheme’s spell were far too strong combined and the female remained unconscious, her eyes closed tightly. Makoto glanced at Noheme, having witnessed what she could the kitsune glanced at the goddess and then back at her adoptive mother. “Maka will take home.” the fox was not capable of much speech but she was beginning to think this was not the best place for JIyu to be, that there was nothing left for them to do in spite of the fact the wind mage wanted to do everything possible to save this place.

The other girl had stayed in the world of Eden and Jiyu did not blame her, being in a realm you had a connection to, something you or someone you loved created, it was better than residing in the normal realm of earth land. The little time Kaze had spent within her own realm? Was a span always consumed by this warm sense of feeling and belonging aas if she had a place all to herself and no one could do anything to corrupt it. Of course that place had been invaded by Leila who did so to save her life, but that was not important. At the thought of how Noheme had not followed her out of the portal the young inugami thought about that place that her soul had apparently made after it lost it’s body.

Mismatched eyes opened hazily, struggling against an intense fog that clouded her head, struggling vainly to fully wake up and get a grip on what was going on. The last thing Jiyu could recall in her corrupted head? Was an agonizing pain taking over her body, seeing blood drip to the ground from her own arm even though she had not been cut by anything, the black markings she had noticed before suddenly growing in size as if they were eating her, every inch they covered felt like she was being decayed from the inside out, her vision growing hazy and unfocused, zoning in on the little of her best friend she could say in front of her. Suddenly Jiyu had known she was dying, for some reason her own magic was consuming her body to murder her. Emotions flooded in and she could hear other voices in her head as short legs gave out her body unable to feel the pain of it getting scraped up over the agony of being devoured alive. What had she done to cause this?! Hazy gaze focused on the woman who was now noticing something was very wrong, as blood dripped to the ground and dissolved consumed by her magic as surely as flesh, organs and bones were being eaten. Apparently her magic was intent on not leaving a single trace of her in this world and that was alarming. Did everything she do in life amount to nothing because she was being erased?! Hime knew there had been other things in life she wanted to do, most namely find her mother’s killer and end the demon slayer that took her childhood away from her. Now? None of that was going to happen and she could barely even think about how it was all coming to an end over the pain of her demise. What had she done to deserve such a painful end, all she ever tried to do was live even when she had no one to guide her through life! The weakening the wind user could barely see if her best friend had come to her side or not, at this point she was fairly sure her eyes were being eaten as well because she could not see anything but blackness and a few fuzzy unclear shapes. What did those shapes belong to, what was a shape anyways, she could not really remember. Everything got more drown out as she felt herself fading away, the pain lessening because she barely had any nerves left to feel the pain. Could she even speak most of her body was probably gone by now, heck her voice box might have been eaten first because she never heard herself scream even though she should have been screaming bloody murder because this was blood murder. Would the voice carry her words for her if she chose to speak. “I’m So Sorry, I Appear To Be Dying, I’m Sorry, Goodbye” it was the only thing she could get out and it was not even in her own voice, not that she could hear to begin with. As the fog lifted from the wind user as she drifted back to sleep the half demoness remembered she had died, on the way back from a job or something she could not recall, she had just died. Funny thing was that she did not want to be dead, these days she wanted to live and now it was all over.

It had not been too long after that when she started to wake up once more, felt the haze there but less present than it had been before. However the fact she felt like she was waking up confused the half breed, because the girl was entirely certain she had felt herself consumed, knew she had died there on the floor of that cavern on the way out of that place. How could she have possibly surprised? Odd colored optics opened and she saw the ground beneath her was a dark brown with small hints of creamish color, but the more disturbing thing was the fact she could see her own hand, more precisely she could see through it, straight through. Kazehime came to the only viable conclusion for herself being in this state after she thought herself dead, wherever she was it was some form of afterlife. Was this heaven, hell or something apart from them? Standing felt almost impossible her legs felt like iron weights despite her lack of solid body, but she did eventually get to her bare feet and gazed around at the forested landscape surrounding her. The place faintly reminded her of something haunted like the spooky forest, she could almost feel eyes on her. “I wasn’t wearing this!” the female glanced down when she noticed upon glancing down at herself that she was wearing a simple white off shoulder strap dress that went down to her knees, one of the most modest pieces of clothing she had ever seen on her own body since she ran away several years before. She must have spent days wandering the world like that, just aimlessly walking without needing to eat, sleep or anything due to the fact she was simply a soul at that point.

However every single day that world had started changing slowly becoming more grotesque and creepy, as if something else was taking over it. Jiyu had not been afraid for the warm feeling of belonging had never vanished but eventually she had known something bad was coming because the monsters that showed up in the world would occasionally try to attack her. Several days later she had figured out they wanted her alive and thus someone was probably controlling them, that someone wanted to see her, thus she let them capture her and bring her to their leader. That was the first time she had seen them, the other three faces inside of her body, four sets of mismatched eyes staring at each other, each having different colored markings on their face. Kazehime had then figured out what she was, well more so the red faced one had explained it to her, that they were all the same Jiyu but split into four like most kami where, that she was an Inugami not a normal half demon or such. It had taken some time for Jiyu to believe it, and this had resulted in the other three imprisoning her with vines from the world they said belonged to her, to prevent her from becoming a danger to all four of them. When she was next able to move her best friend was doing something she had never asked for, something with devastating consequences.

Rain drenched through her bared flesh threatening to make her fall ill and take her new body away before she had the chance to get used to this form. How had this happened? The canine felt tears slipping out of her eyes as she looked at the cold hard ground beneath her knees, her clawed finger’s digging up some of it as her fists clenched and a sniffle came from her body most of her silent because she could not even process what had just happened. How had one simple task like hanging out or doing a job turned into such a train wreck! Kazehime knew the truth of what had just happened, she had just lost her best friend, the goddess of eden had given up her own magic, her life all of it to form a new body and help establish bridges between her personalities, placing a seal to prevent something like this from happening again so easily. Tears fell like the rain that poured around her, drenching her long ebony locks the long orange tips stuck to the ground as she glanced up at the sky. Jiyu had gotten her way she was alive again, free to pursue her emotions, free to chase down the bastard who had killed her mother, continue her day to day life. Kazehime could return to normal day to day activities, even go back to Black Rose because her magic was now unable wreak havoc without her contest, placed under control by the strength of another. This should be the biggest blessing she had ever received in her life, but her tears were not those of joy instead of she was crushed beneath the weight of her best friend's death! Jiyu was alive free to do whatever she wanted like her name would suggest, but the funny thing was that she did not want to be alive right now.

The winder user shivered as she remember all of that, wondering why it decided to all come back to her right now when she had tried her best to forget. Kazehime hugged herself as she looked sta the path ahead of her, glancing over at Makoto “Let’s go home kid.” she pet the neck of the five foot kitsune and accepted its help in supporting her weight as they started walking Then as if the word had not already screwed the wind user over enough for the day, it started raining and she decided then and there that even as a wind mage she was no longer extra fond of rain, now it served as a reminder that she was a screwed up failure who could protect nothing. The walk felt so much longer than normal and she wished that she could go somewhere else, do something else. However there was nothing remaining except to go home and mope once again, lay there and consider how badly she screwed up and what job she was going to take on next because missions seemed to be the only things she did not screw up on.

The frail woman flopped back on the king sized bed, laying in the center all on her own, wishing she had not sent Makoto back to her own room, rubbing the bridge of her nose as she stared up at the ceiling. “Please not another sleepless night.” of course the wind user knew her plea was hopeless, she was all alone and the bed was so cold, there was not a single night light and the sheets felt too big. Mismatched eyes closed slowly and she already felt trapped, forced herself not to squirm about as she tried to remain calm in her lavender nightgown, a small whimper coming from her as she finally drifted off into the sweet oblivion of slumber which would be nothing expect blackness or nightmares for her.
