    Job Info:

"... This place looks emptied for quite a while," Imai commented after having a look around the vast places of the famous ruins. nothing but remains of seemingly a large village, an old home for probably deceased people. However, as dark as that might've sounded, there was also something nice and fun about these ruins; you could always explore them and, perhaps, revive some of its untold secrets that may reveal hidden parts of the past. That was mainly why Imai accepted the request; partly because he also wanted his name written on the famous treasure, if they were to ever find it here. No, they had to find it; at least before the Gem Brothers did. the Magic Council didn't trust that group at all, hence they requested mages from all over Fiore to search and find the Ten Old Wizard Saints' lost treasure first...

With Sei on his back, alongside his telescope, Imai studied the ground; his eyes caught sight of footprints that went towards a bush. "Those footprints..." he spoke, while laying a hand on one. It was deep, perhaps because that it was stepped on a little while ago. That would mean that whoever stepped here, most likely the Gem Brothers, hadn't went far into the place where the footsteps lead to. At first sight, it looked quite ridiculous that the footsteps lead into a freaking bush, but perhaps there was a secret entrance behind it? Sei was a little too curious, though, and decided to fly into the bush. "Oh, Sei..!" Imai called for it, but the little alien was far gone. It didn't return from the bush, proving that there was, in fact, an opening there. It was most likely the entrance that the Gem Brothers used, which explained the footprints. "Hmpf... where are you, Kirara?" he let out, worrying of Sei's whereabouts and Kirara's arrival...

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

Post by Kirara 2nd August 2016, 12:44 pm

Earlier on, Imai had suggested that they go on a job. Though Kirara was all for it in the beginning, she had to admit she was a bit afraid. Apparently the job was a B-Ranked one, and the guild master had only recognized her as a C-Ranked mage for the current abilities that she had. However, she would have Imai by her side, and that made her a little less worried, though she was still a bit scared all the same. She didn't have much job experience, as this had only been her 5th Job. She hadn't noticed it when she was guildless, but Jobs are assorted by a mage's respective rank, and Kirara browsed the job, realizing that she had never been on a C-Ranked one, which discouraged her slightly even more. But, hey, She not only had Imai, she had her Gods as well. She approached the area where Imai was and soon spotted him. She walked toward him calmly, though she couldn't deny she was slightly afraid.

Kirara surveyed the area as well. There were crumbled buildings and incomplete ones, as if the area had been abandoned rather sudden. "Hey, Imai! I was looking over the area and it looks abandoned." She shared her thoughts with Imai, though nothing may come out of it, as it's just an assumption. There were also these two treasure hunters that were searching for the treasure. Kirara had never fought another person before, so it'd be a new experience for her. However, she was slightly excited to test out her new weapon: Esdeath. It was given to her as a present from her Gods in correspondence to her new strength. Esdeath was an umbrella rapier. The rapier was concealed inside the umbrella, making the umbrella appear to be regular, which could catch the enemy off guard.

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

    Post by Imai-chi 3rd August 2016, 3:22 am

Imai heard footsteps coming from behind, and despite the possibility that it could've been the Gem Brothers, it was happily his teammate Kirara. He threw a friendly gaze at her, but spotted her anxious atmosphere quite quickly. "Hey, Kirara," he greeted back, "... Yeah, I thought that there would be more people around here. At least some tourists, or other treasure hunters... but I haven't spotted anyone else yet." It wasn't as if the place was unknown to the world, but it appeared strange that the place was that empty. Although, if the other treasure hunters already went into the ruins' secret caves, then that would explain the silence. "... You look worried," he spoke to her, pointing out her face's appearance. Perhaps she was just nervous of facing the other treasure hunters; as far as he'd been told, one of them were a mage himself. A pretty famous mage, indeed; Harper Goldenshine, a Molding mage. Other than that, the rest of the mission appeared sufficient for the two of them to be handled quickly.

"Don't worry too much; you'll just lose your focus," he continued, attempting to calm her down a little. Meanwhile, his hands were approaching the bush from earlier. "... Although, where the hell is Sei, now..." His hands were pulled into the bush, and as he tried to feel his way after Sei, the imbalance caused him to fall down through a hidden hole behind the shrubbery. "WHA-!" he let out, before finding himself a few meters underground, almost completely dark due to the entrance's unique source of light. He rubbed his head a little and looked up at the entrance. "Hey, Kirara! I found the entrance..!" he called for her. from what his eyes could skim, the cave was but a long hallway, leading into a pit of darkness that seemingly covered their objective. The red-haired star mage would then begin to call: "Sei! Sei! Where are you, buddy..?" He was getting worried for his alien partner, who just happened to soar in here all of a sudden, disappearing from Imai's sight...

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

Post by Kirara 3rd August 2016, 3:39 pm

Kirara figured many hadn't ventured out to the place due to there being hidden dangers. After all, avoiding danger was a natural human action, though there are some who live for it. Kirara wasn't one of them. She liked adventuring, but danger was certainly not her middle name. She's extremely afraid of dying, and introducing herself to dangerous situations could give her a display of death firsthand. "Maybe there are hidden dangers here that make people avoid it," Kirara shared her thoughts with Imai once more. "I mean humans naturally avoid danger. Or we just aren't in the right area." Kirara shrugged. She figured this job would be difficult before Imai signed them up for it, but it's her own fault, as she had demanded that he take her on all of his adventures.

Kirara blushed a bit at his words, as she was kind of skilled when it came to hiding her emotions. "E-eh, how did you know I was worried?" She rubbed the back of her head. "Yeah, you're right. I'll only psych myself out if I worry too much." She surveyed the area once more, trying to find a clue, but she came to a halt, as she did not see anything. This was partly due to the fact she was only able to see from the left side. Kirara was a bit dumbfounded when he said he had found the entrance, as she was unable to see a thing that looked even close to one. "Really!? How!?" She ran over to him excitedly. "It's so dark... Hmm, I have an idea." Kirara called for Iris. "You called?" "Um, I know you're the goddess of rainbows and all, but, uh, are you able to make light?" "I don't know, I've never tried that before." Iris clasped her hands together and closed her eyes. She concetrated on creating light, not changing color. Light... Light.... After a few moments, Iris had been able to shine light into the darkened area.

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

    Post by Imai-chi 4th August 2016, 3:20 am

The room was, as mentioned earlier, but a kind of hallway that lead into a place invisible for the average eye to skim, due to the lack of brightness. Even when moving his view around the small cave, Imai couldn't spot his alien buddy anywhere. He hoped that Sei didn't get lost while following the hallway; he had to make sure that his buddy was safe. However, as dark as it was now, how could he even skim his teammate? "Perhaps if we light up the room... huh?" he suggested, before hearing out Kirara's idea. In a brief moment, the star mage heard a strange voice talking to Kirara, seemingly a familiar or a summon of hers. Based by their conversation, it was the goddes of rainbows; apparently, her magic could summon deities like that. Imai wasn't an expert in summoning magic, but he knew about the versatility of that magic.

He heard a clasp, seemingly an attempt from the goddess to bring out light. It took a moment, before Imai's eyes were cut by the sudden eruption of brightness from the goddess. "Eh," he let out in fascination, "Awesome... hey, Sei isn't here at all." His eyes took another round at the room, spotting more footsteps of the same form as earlier. It appeared that this was, indeed, the entrance to some chamber. The star mage slowly stood up on his feet and looked forward across the hallway. "... I think that Sei is lost," he informed Kirara and the goddess, "Maybe it moved this way..." His feet moved across the hallway as his body faced a kind of tunnel with naked rocks around, and very few details of an ancient stairway. He wouldn't have noticed it yet, but his headband began to glow light-blue as the mage was getting a little desperate at finding his friend. Meanwhile, he also took caution in not walking into any other treasure hunter during the walk; who knew, they might've lurked in the shadows for all this time. "Keep your eyes open, Kirara," he spoke to his partner, "... Man, it's too silent here. Where in the world is Sei..?"

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

Post by Kirara 4th August 2016, 11:23 am

Kirara was skeptical of walking straight into the hall, as there were bound to be traps, considering the treasure was hidden by wizard saints. If they were as valuable as they were made out to be, they would most certainly not be easy to obtain. The light that had be shone by Iris gave them a good view of the area, but Kirara couldn't make out any hidden dangers, and Imai seemed to be more worried about his alien companion, Sei, than anything else, which Kirara understood. If they were going to complete this job, they would have to find Sei first. She could only imagine the thoughts racing through Imai's head at the loss of his alien companion. Kirara grew a bond with the creature as well, but she most certainly could not be as worried as Imai, as Imai had probably been with Sei for quite some time.

"Don't worry, we'll find him. He couldn't have gone too far." Kirara attempted to comfort Imai, attempting to help him find a soothed feeling from her words. "Hey, Iris, can you direct the light toward Imai? he needs it more than I do." "As you wish, Kirara." Iris directed a bit of the light toward Imai. Enough so that he got a better view of his area, but not to the point where Kirara was left in the shroud of darkness that had been previously cast over the area. Kirara noticed the same footsteps as Imai, and began to follow them down the hall, but suddenly they disappeared. She took one more step forward, and a rock in the path had slid down, and a rope had dropped from above, wrapped around Kirara's ankle, and brought her toward the roofing of the area. "Aaahh!" Kirara let out a scream before she had gone up too far.

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

    Post by Imai-chi 4th August 2016, 12:16 pm

Imai was kind of comforted by Kirara's words as he was, obviously, worried for his little alien. The bond that those two shared through the time that they'd been together, from the night where he spotted Sei descend from the sky itself and forward, was strong and firm. It was all that he had left at the moment to help him find his ethereal buddy. "... Thanks. I'm sure that you're right," he replied with a faint smile, before once again moving his eyes around the place as they walked through the tunnel-like hallway, "Seeeeiii? Sei, are you there?" The echoes were making Imai a little nervous as he didn't exactly want to step into the Gem Brothers all of a sudden, but he felt that this was his only way of searching for his partner...

She asked Iris, Kirara's goddess companion, to direct the light at Imai as a gesture to help him. He looked back to spot that light hit him right on the face, then suddenly have a wider view of the surroundings. "Oh, neat..!" he spoke up in surprise, "The place isn't as naked as I thought..." Apparently, what was revealed before him was an entrance to a large room, covered with marble beneath your feet and with pillars around. Some of the pillars were cracking, but they appeared to have done that for an eternity, so he didn't find it as a danger. He began moving into the room, looking around. "Sei..!" he called, but ain't got any answer. Then he realized that Sei never spoke a word before, not even the slightest voice except the classic mew-sound, just like what he heard... right behind him! The star mage jumped up in surprise, only to see his alien buddy soar quite innocently. "Oh, there you are..!" he let out in relief as he hugged the alien, "Hey, don't leave me like that. You scared the hell out of me..." A moment after, and another scream was heard from the hallway before, reminding Imai of Kirara. "Kirara..!!!" he shouted in shock, before charging towards the hallway. The footsteps followed him to another tunnel beside the room that lead him to a giant rock that stood in the way. Apparently, the footsteps turned into a ruffle at the position that he was standing at. "Huh... Kirara, are you here?" he called for his other partner, not aware of her presence nearby. His alien buddy, though, was merely looking at her...

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

Post by Kirara 4th August 2016, 12:31 pm

Kirara struggled to untie the rope, but she couldn't lift herself up long enough to untangle the knot fully. Then again, that wouldn't be a goo idea because if she did manage to untie it, she'd plummet to the solid ground... and that wouldn't end nicely. "Ugh, how am I gonna get myself out of this one..." Kirara sighed. She was frustrated, but she wasn't quick to give up. Iris was with Imai, and Kirara wasn't sure if she had heard her. She didn't want to call upon another god and waste her energy for such a simple task, so she tried devising a plan herself. She grabbed her eye patch, "Maybe this'll help me find something... Using it for a few seconds wont hurt me as-" Her words were cut short by the sound of Imai calling for her. "Imai! I'm up here!" She shouted, hoping he could hear.

She was greeted not only by Imai's voice, but Iris' as well. "Lady Kirara, are you alright? Where are you?" Iris was the gentlest of all of her Gods, and also the most frantic. She began to worriedly flash the light every which way until she finally spotted Kirara. Kirara looked up at her skirt, realizing that gravity was working against her, and quickly used her hands to hold down... or up in this case. "I kind of, got stuck. There are traps around here, so we have to be a bit more careful." Kirara let out a sigh of relief. She was happy that they noticed something was wrong and went to search for her. "I would just get myself out of this, but I'd fall and probably die if I did, haha." Kirara's words for fictional, as she could not get herself down, but they didn't know that.

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

    Post by Imai-chi 5th August 2016, 9:06 am

Imai suddenly caught words of Kirara from above, surprised at how she ended up there. "Huh? How'd you get up there, Kirara?" he confusingly asked her. It seemed that she got stuck by a trap nearby, a classic way of capturing treasure hunters. It sounded like something from one of those treasure hunter stories that he read back in Shirotsume, where the main person always got caugth in robes that lead him dangle upside down and let his head fill up with blood. It would be annoyingly painful for Kirara if her head go all red of the blood, so he had to find a way to pull her down. "Hm..." he mumbled. The star mage didn't want to waste time at thinking, though, so he brought out plan A; with his hands and feet, he tried his best to climb up the smooth wall around Kirara, but surely in vain. He always sled down, and he couldn't soar in the air. Apparently, crawling up the walls were cancelled, so he tried plan B; with a leap, the red-haired mage advanced up to the rope himself and continuously jumped across Kirara's face, while he tried to find out how to get her down without letting her fall straight to her death. However, he couldn't jump all the way up to her at one leap, so he kind of just swayed up and down across Kirara. "Ehm... this is difficult," he let out in worry, not quite sure of what to do.

While Sei soared around with that innocent look and no idea of the situation, he suddenly realized an idea, but it was reckless. Although, he had nothing else to try out, so he went with plan C; pulling out his telescope, he aimed it at the rope. "Kirara... just stay still, okay?" he warned her, before sending off the staff towards the rope that was holding her feet. If she was to fall down to him, he would stand ready with open arms and make sure that she didn't fall straight to the ground; that would hurt a lot, anyway...

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

Post by Kirara 5th August 2016, 8:20 pm

Kirara was a bit embarrassed as to how she wound up in her situation, so she was slightly hesitant to reply. She was trapped due to recklessness. She wasn't paying attention to the area, so she activated a trap. If her senses were in full effect, the situation could have possibly been avoided. In truth, she was still rather frightened by the idea of fighting another mage. She knew that she was somewhat talented when it came to fighting other things, but she wasn't sure if she could bring herself to harm another person. Or if she would even be able to harm them for that matter. She liked to keep things peaceful, but this job was far from it. If they wished to complete this successfully, Kirara would need to get a grip and get over her fears. After all, life is full of triumphs, and conquering your fears was one of them. "Well, I was walking around, and one of the panels in the floor sunk and brought down a rope. Before I knew it the rope had been tied around my ankle and I was brought up here." Kirara sighed. "Well, on the bright side, you found sei! I'm glad he didn't wander off too far." Kirara meant that, too. She enjoyed Sei's company, but she mostly enjoyrd how happy the little alien made Imai. She loved seeing Imai happy.

Kirara watched as Imai leaped around her. She wasn't sure what he was doing, but hopefully whatever he was attempting would work fast, as Kirara was starting to gain head pains from being upside down for so long. She figured that two heads were better than one, so she began to attempt to devise a strategy of her own. At least until Imai had already figured everything out. "Um, alright. If you say so." Kirara had no problem puttinf her faith into Imai, so she relaxed and awaited for his next move.

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

    Post by Imai-chi 6th August 2016, 5:27 am

Back at the giant hall where Imai found Sei, two guys with styled swords wandered around. It appeared as if they'd caught sound of something strange, like a trap or the sound of intruders. Their faces looked mad and cold, while they looked around. "Hmpf... I could've sworn that I heard something coming from here," one of the treasure hunters spoke up, while beginning to sniff a little, "... And it smells slightly weirder than before." Meanwhile, the other treasure hunter scraped his blade across the naked marble beneath their feet, creating a disturbing, nails-against-the-blackboard like sound. While he found it unaffecting, the other hunter covered his ears in fury over the sudden act. "Just what the hell are you doing, huh..?" he quietly scolded at him. The other hunter would respond by holding a finger on his lips towards his companion, while continuing. When he stopped, he would remove his finger and reply: "Let's just see if anyone hears it. If someone else is here, then we'll lure them out, somehow..." He had a quite ugly grin on his face when explaining his actions, making the other hunter laugh in silence. "No one's going to get between us and our treasure, alright..?"

Back at the trap, Imai had his telescope charged towards the rope that was holding Kirara's feet, hoping to cut it off. It sounded a little dangerous, but he felt confident that he would be able to catch her if she fell down. The first throw, though, failed miserably, so the star mage pulled his telescope up and began focusing some of his magic power through it. "... Okay, succeed this time..." he whispered to himself, before launching the bluish, stardust-covered telescope towards the rope, which cut down successfully. That left Kirara in mid air, while Imai prepared himself to catch her body with his arms, despite if it would cause him to fall down as well. At the moment, he cared more for her safety than his own, anyway...

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

Post by Kirara 6th August 2016, 7:01 pm

Kirara didn't know how Imai planned to get her down, but it was best if he would hurry, as Iris' time in the human world was beginning to run up. She wouldn't be able to stay much longer, as all of the God's are only able to be summoned for a short amount of time, and it's a bit of a lengthy wait for their long anticipated return. Kirara watched as Imai launched stars at the rope. She wasn't familiar with the type of magic he used, but she sure thought it was neat. It was not only good for combat, it was visually pleasing as well. The bright colors were beautiful to Kirara. When the star succeeded in hitting the rope and cutting it, Kirara let out a near silent shriek. She knew that they were not alone, and she didn't want to alert anyone else. Luckily, Kirara landed in his arms, though it wasn't a light fall.

"Lady Kirara, it is time for me to go." Kirara smiled. "Alright, I'll see you later, Iris!" The area was a bit darkened once again. "Thanks to you, too, Imai! I would have been a goner if it weren't for y-" Kirara's words were halted by the sound of a blade being dragged across the marble. Hearing the sound of the blade started her quite a bit, as her eyes grew large, and she was a bit frozen. She knew that only one person could be causing that sound: Treasure Hunter. She assumed that they were doing that to scare them off. They accomplished half of that goal, as Kirara was a bit stirred up from it. She clenched her fist and thought to herself, "Get a grip! You have nothing to be afraid of! You won't be defeated by them!" She breathed in deeply and breathed out. "Did you hear that?"

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

    Post by Imai-chi 7th August 2016, 4:17 am

It was quite a tough landing for her, despite having Imai waiting to grab her falling body with his hands; the impact itself pulled him to the ground where he sat on his butt with Kirara in his arms. "Ouch..." he let out in slight pain, "You okay..?" She appeared well, so he wouldn't have to worry about that for the time being. Although, with Iris' departure, the darkness settled around them again, kind of worrying the star mage as he looked around. Nope, the only source of light appeared from the room where he was before; that and the sudden sound of scraping blades, which seemed to startle them both. He couldn't really see it, but Kirara was beginning to freak out a little. Compared to him, he tried to keep a calm mind and overview the situation that they were in; he expected others' company, anyways. "Yes... I think that they're at the marble room," he whispered back to Kirara, before standing up and putting her on her feet, "Alright, follow me. Quietly..."
The star mage would then sneak over to the entrance to the marble room, where his eyes stuck out to spot two figures; one with a long broadsword as he was grinding it across the floor, and one with two sabres on his back. They both had rests of char on their faces and appeared very simple-minded. "Eh... they don't look like any threat," he let out, before surprisingly walking through the entrance, "Hey, have any of you guys seen this treasure down here? I'm pretty lost and can't find a way out of this hell of a cave, anyways..." He sounded innocent, ignorant, which was intentional for him; he wanted to see their reactions. Gladly, the most simple-minded with the long sword approached Imai with a grin on his face. "I'm afraid that you're lost, kiddo..." he laughed, while lifting up his sword, "But don't worry; I'll-"
His words were supposed to be interrupted by his chop as he aimed the sword for Imai's shoulder; although, the mage quickly cut the sword's metallic blade in two with his enlightened telescope. "Yeah, I thought so..." he grinned, before aiming a heavy kick on the hunter's belly, forcing him into the wall at the other side of the room. The wall, obviously, broke down by his sudden lay-out, while Imai was getting fired up, ready to face whoever wanted a piece of the star mage...

Post by Kirara 7th August 2016, 11:29 am

Kirara felt kinda bad for putting Imai in that situation. She didn't want to have to be saved all the time, and she didn't want to trouble Imai by getting herself into danger all of the time. Kirara has a habit of doubting her strength, causing her to panic and get flustered easily when faced with a dangerous situation. Similar to what she had just done, as she panicked at the sound of other life forms. "Yeah, I'm fine... But are you alright? I hope I didn't hurt you." The darkness of the room gave her a slightly unsettling feeling in her gut. The feeling you get when you know something bad is about to happen, or the feeling you're extremely anxious. Those were the feelings she had, and she couldn't seem to fully calm herself down. It lasted for a moment, but as soon as she heard another threatening sound, the feelings returned.

She followed Imai, trusting his authority... Until she realized where he was taking her. "Um, hey, you do know where you're going right? Are you trying to kill me!?" Kirara lightly tugged his shirt, calming down shortly after her small rant. "Well, if you don't fave your fears you'll never conquer them." She let out a deep breathe. She had managed to fully calm herself and was prepared for whatever it was that the Treasre Hunters had in store for them. Imai seemed to lure them in a way. He tested their intellect, and it was clear that they had very little of it. "Why was I even worried?" She asked herself. Kirara backed Imai up by taking out her umbrella, but keeping the hidden rapier concealed within the confines of it. She hadn't wielded the weapon before, as she had recently found it on a previous job. However, she was prepared to go all out with the umbrella portion of the weapon.

    Post by Imai-chi 8th August 2016, 2:36 am

Hm, perhaps Imai rushed a little too quickly, given by Kirara's surprised expression. She didn't expect him to just rush in there and bet that it would turn out as sure as it was, it appeared. Although, her sudden fright was expected, and yet funny. Imai wasn't that easy to scare; not after what he experienced back at the Spooky Forest. Treasure hunt his butt; they weren't even that intimidating, after all. He began stepping on his toes with small jumps, while having his arms in a fighting stance, and his eyes bolted on the figure that was crashed into the wall. It would take more to bring them down as the treasure hunter stood up, almost completely recovered from that attack. "Hmpf, I expected as much as this..." he expressed, "But I ain't done yet." He slowly moved his eyes back at Kirara, noticing her quite calmer presence now that she got a hold of the situation. He moved his eyes back at the gate at the other side of the room, spotting the two treasure hunter's role as a kind of barrier between them and their path. "Let's take them out as quickly as possible, shall we..?" he suggested to his partner.

A bluish light, nebulous and glowing with dots of star-like essences, engulfed his entire body as he would dash forward in one leap, launching a heavy elbow on the treasure hunter's belly. He did expect Kirara to follow up and do her business with the other one, seemingly as they were of equal experience. He didn't appear to underestimate her at all, given by his expectations; she was capable of calling gods, after all. Heck, she might've had more potential than himself, which only motivated him in doing his best against this tough issue. After landing an elbow that caused the treasure hunter to spit out, Imai would follow up with perhaps a couple punches to spread the area of effect, before ending with a telescope right on the chin that would launch the hunter upwards, lettign him land his head on the ceiling. All while his hair glowed blue, contradictory to his natural hair color...

Post by Kirara 8th August 2016, 8:55 pm

Kirara wasn't the most prepared when it came to fighting, but she damn sure wasn't a push over either. She didn't always need to rely on her Gods when fighting, she had a backbone of her own, and she planned to use it in this fight. Though she didn't have much experience with her weapon, she had a few newfound abilities. She was able to increase her wielding speed, and reflect attacks by twirling the umbrella. Kirara had been through a few frightening things, but she was always dependent on her Gods. She didn't want to be that way this time around. She wanted to take on the situation herself. She had done something similar before, but she ended up not doing it herself, as Palaemon and Nemean had come to the rescue. Kirara was amazed at how easily Imai was able to stand his ground. She wasn't a coward, but she also wasn't a fan of conflict. "Woo, get him Imai!" She cheered, causing her to lose focus of her own situation. As she cheered, the other treasure hunter charged at her. He swung his sword, but she took notice of the situation and blocked it with her umbrella. "Don't forget about me." THe other treasure hunter said, hopping back away from Kirara.

After that, Kirara's blood started pumping. She was prepared to fight to protect herself."Yeah, let's get them!" Kirara clenched her fist and took the rapier out of the umbrella. Kirara began to focus magical energy into her rapier and it began to glow a bright white. "Speed!" She said, whipping the rapier downward. She ran toward the treasure hunter that attacked her, attempting to puncture his arm as she approached. He saw through her plan and blocked it. Kirara quickly responded by going for the other arm. However, he was unable to block this one, as her speed increase gave her an advantage over him.

His eyes would swiftly move towards Kirara as she seemed to engage in the action as well. Judging by his experience with her, he would most likely expect her at a different world when in battle, which was just the case. Watching her utilize that umbrella, which appeared to hide one of her weapons, was quite putting a smile on his face. Although, he couldn't get outdone by anyone, could he? He rubbed his nose a little by her cheering, though, which caught him off guard as the treasure hunter came running towards him with his sword stuck out. Imai leaped up across the room, dodging the charging treasure hunter's sword greatly. He landed on the other side of the room and proceeded to charge right at the back of the hunter, which launched him through the narrow doorway. With a crashing sound, the entrance was crushed down and blocked by rocks and boulders, not really what he planned to do. "Oh, darn it..!" he complained. Although, the hunter was down for good, so that was at least one good thing about that.

He saw Kirara fighting the last treasure hunter, which gave him an idea. Still being covered in that nebula from his magic, the star mage charged right at the hunter's head, locking it wiht his legs and arms and thus covering his sight. "Argh! What the hell!!!" the hunter roared out, before running around in random directions. He even crashed into a few pillars, but Imai didn't let go. "Now, Kirara..!" he spoke to his partner, hoping that she would have much more ease at putting him at his knees. He was getting quite injured himself, but he couldn't think about a few small bruises during a battle. That just didn't suit him, not at all. Call him stubborn, if you want...

Post by Kirara 10th August 2016, 2:47 pm

Imai appeared to be pleased with her actions, as she had finally toughened up and fought back. She normally didn't seek approval from others, but she wanted his. She cared about him, and wanted him to feel the same about her. Kirara wasn't much of a fighter, but she was far from weak. She could handle herself quite well, given that the opponent isn't too powerful. Imai appeared to be the opposite. He wasn't afraid to fight when needed. In fact, rather than avoiding it, he went toward the fight! He was a lot braver than Kirara, as he faced the situation head on instead of prolonging their fateful meeting with the treasure hunters. She respected him for having the guts to do something she had been incapable of at the time. His presence also made her feel slightly safer.

The treasure hunter held his arm and cursed. "Gah, you little bitch! That hurt!" Kirara chuckled. "Well, mister treasure hunter, it's not supposed to feel good!" He lifted an arm and looked at her angrily. "It's gonna take more than that to stop me!" He charged at her once more, holding his sword in front of him. She deflected the sword and attempted to kick the arm she had recently punctured, but he caught her leg and slammed her to the ground. He attempted to stab her while she was on the floor, but she rolled away from the blade and kicked him back. She vaulted back, landing a few feet away from him. Imai then interrupted the heated battle to assist Kirara. He jumped on the treasure hunter's head and signaled her to attack. "Right!" She charge at the hunter with her increased speed and attempted to strike him with the pointed end of her rapier in hopes of ending one of their battles.

    Post by Imai-chi 11th August 2016, 5:49 am

A last hit from Kirara's rapier was just enough to make him fall, although Imai went with that fall himself. Perhaps he should've been quicker at letting go, judging by his almost choking grab on the treasure hunter. Now he had a ton heavy body on top of himas the hunter collided onto the grund with a big clash that echoed around the hall. His eyes were blacked out as well as his exhausted body, a result of underestimating the two Sabertooth mages. More because he underestimated Kirara, who showed new sides of herself in that moment. Imai couldn't but feel ease by that fact, and also a little envious. She had a better weapon than him...

He shook the thought off of his head and struggled to pull himself out from the button of the collapsed hunter, all while Sei spectated. "Ouch... come on, come on!" he motivated himself, while grabbing the marble floor with his hands. The treasure hunter didn't look THAT heavy, but somehow, it was pure hell to get off from below his blacked out body. However, by time, he leaped off from the ground and wiped dust off his shirt, looking a little annoyed by how he had to go through that. Sei found its rightful claim on his back as it grabbed on tightly. "... Hmpf, that was unnecessary of me," he commented, "But hey, you did great there. I'm impressed..!" If she was that skilled with her rapier/umbrella, then how good that she was with her magic was a mystery that wouldn't disappoint him if revealed.

The next doorway was at the other side of the room, but before Imai moved his feet towards it, the floor began to collapse by the sound of something cracking. "..! Wait," he spoke up in shock, "The floor... hurry, Kirara! This way!" His words wouldn't reach anyone in time as he fell under the lack of surface. Beneath their feet was an empty room with a doorway that would, most likely, lead them somewhere else in this weird cave...

Post by Kirara 11th August 2016, 9:45 pm

Kirara was somewhat surprised that she was able to take the treasure hunter. She didn't believe that she, herself, was weak, but she didn't think that the treasure hunter would be taken down as quickly as he was. She was tempted to cheer, but she held back. She was shocked by the large crash that could be heard all around the room. Kirara was more impressed by Imai's ability to get away from the other treasure hunter to help her speed up her process. He held him in place with what looked like ease, allowing her to deliver the final blow that took out the treasure hunter. She admired Imai, in a way. He was strong, brave, and resourceful in a sense.

She was slightly shocked by his struggle to get the treasure hunter off of him. "Are you alright?" She called out. She was about to step forward and assist him, but it appeared he already had the situation under control. His alien companion flew around him as he wiggleed and tried to get out from under the treasure hunter. She thought his struggling was rather adorable, to be honest. She thought a lot of his actions were adorable, actually. Basically, she thought he was adorable. "You think I did good?" She blushed slightly, but quickly regained her calm demeanor. "You were great, too! I couldn't have done it without you!" She placed a hand behind her head and chuckled. She didn't hear Imai, but she did hear the crumbling floor, seeing Imai go down with it. "Imai!" She shouted. "Are you ok? I'm gonna find a way down!" Instead of finding a complicated way down, she simply inflated her umbrella and jumped down, having a light fall. She was amazed by what he had uncovered by falling down. Another mystery they would have to solve so that they could complete this mission.

    Post by Imai-chi 13th August 2016, 3:20 am

The star mage rubbed his sore butt as he did land quite heavily. The cave that they were in right now was almost completely dark, only enlightened by the surface above them. “Ouch, ouch…” he wailed in pain. Luckily, Sei was fast at reacting, thus letting off its grab before it suffered damage like he did now. It was nice to know that the alien was all right, but why was he always to get hurt like this? He was sitting on top of broken pieces of marble from the floor that was previously intact beneath their feet, until the room suddenly crashed. His eyes would slowly look upwards, spotting Kirara as she soared down to aid. It was a good idea to use her umbrella, saving her the trouble of landing right on rock-solid floor like he did. Meanwhile, Sei would soar down and grab onto Imai’s back as usual, while he slowly stood up again. He wiped marble dust off his pants as a small hole was visible in-between a few rocks. “I’m fine, I’m fine… I think,” he replied to Kirara as she landed, “But I really hope to survive this. I look torn apart already…” His jersey had flakes on the button line, and his pants weren’t as hygienic as before. Without knowing it, he also had a small bruise on his forehead.

The red-haired mage spotted a small hole before them, quite narrow, yet passable if they crawled through it right. “Hey, I think that I found a way out of here,” he spoke to Kirara, before moving towards the hole. However, just as he was a few meters from the opening, a rock fell down and sealed it before him. He leaped back in shock, even grinning his teeth now that another obstacle had made its appearance.

Post by Kirara 19th August 2016, 9:43 pm

The area certainly did have a lot of traps and triggers. Whatever the treasure was, it must have been very valuable. No one would go through the trouble of setting as many hidden dangers as they had encountered without needing to protect something valuable. Since treasure hunters were after it, Kirara assumed that it had a monetary value rather than sentimental. Treasure Hunters don't go looking for treasure with no cash value, as it may go against what many of them are after. Kirara was a bit saddened by Imai's pained state. She didn't like to see her allies get hurt especially ones she was close with. "Well, I don't want you to be hurt. If you're tired we can rest." The caring tone in her voice was very apparent along with a little bit of worrying. She didn't want to continue if he was hurt. Hell, she wasn't in perfect condition herself, but she was more worried about Imai than anything else a the time. He had become rather close to her rather quickly. Their friendship wasn't forced, it was just easily acquired. They got along well, the air never felt tense, and they appeared to care about one other.

"You're not weak, so I'm sure you'll be able to pull through!" She chuckled. Her attention was brought to the hole as Imai spoke. She wasn't sure if they had a stroke of good luck, or if they were being lured into these areas. It did seem pretty strange that every time they found a way into a new room a trap was triggered. As Imai walked toward the hole, a rock suddenly fell, covering the exit. Kirara looked in shock. "There must be another way out. Either that or we're just being taunted for getting stuck." SHe began to look around for another opening, but saw nothing.

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

    Post by Imai-chi 23rd August 2016, 7:25 am

“Hm… I guess that I need a moment to sit down,” he replied to Kirara. She sounded quite worried of him, which made him feel guilty for hardening the situation for her. He didn’t want to see her troubled, which surpassed his selfish worries at the moment. He felt… quite close to her. Was it just him? He couldn’t tell, especially not right now, but if he wanted a wish to be granted right now then it should’ve been for Kirara to feel at ease. After all, it was him who promised to take her to all kinds of adventure; he surely didn’t want to break that promise. The star mage slowly sat down on the rocky ground, while Sei floated around his face like a fly. He needed a little time, just a little time, to recover. “You should rest a little, too. I don’t think that there are any other ways out of here,” he explained to Kirara, “So the other treasure hunters might cross paths with us anytime… we just have to be patient. And lucky.” Who knew, the treasure hunters could’ve been getting out of the cave at the moment, while they were stuck in an enclosed cave.

"You're not weak, so I'm sure you'll be able to pull through!" Those words brought light to him after his break, and filled him with confidence that he and Kirara would get out of this issue. Slowly, he stood up again and poked her forehead with a soft fist, smiling. “Alright, if you believe so, I’ll try,” he replied to her, before walking towards the giant boulder that was covering their exit. He laid both hands on the rock and tried to push it in all directions, but in vain. It wouldn’t move an inch. “…” He was running out of options, now; perhaps all he had to do was to channel a little magic. With that said, he clenched his fist and prepared his stance, before a bluish light engulfed him. Small embodiments of stars could be seen surrounding Imai as he would launch a fist at the boulder with everything that he got. It began cracking; as his eyes saw the disappearance of that obstacle, he smiled a little. Although, you could see that he was tiring himself out at the moment and that his stance was weakened. “That… was easy,” he commented.

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

Post by Kirara 16th September 2016, 10:42 pm

Great! I think we could both use a rest! Though that's what she stated, it's not what took place, for her atleast. She was still a bit tensed, as she wanted to be alert just in case there happened to be more enemies. She breathed deeply, calming herself. The situation was more urgent than stress inducing for her. She had a sense of urgency... A sense to protect the one that she cared about. She had no problem doing it, as many people excel when put in such a situation. Of course you fight to protect yourself, but when put in a situation where you AND a loved one are at risk, your want and need to perform without flaw heightens! You want to execute all attacks perfectly, be aware of everything your opponent might use against you, and observe them carefully so that you may predict their actions, and ultimately defeat them. That's exactly what Kirara planned to do if the situation presented itself.

Kirara was on full alert until it was suggested that she take a rest. She eased herself slightly, but notnto the point where she was on full rest and unalert. "When there's a will, there's a way! But I do think we should rest for a few minutes. She took a deep breath. "We can beat those treasure hunters no problem! Especially you! You're pretty strong!" She watched as he stood, blushing at the poke to her forehead. "I-I dont believe so, I know so!" She blushed heavily, as seeing him that way gave her a feeling that she couldn't explain inside. She watched as he tried to get them out, standing in awe at his magical ability. Imai surely was a strong mage, not just in morality, but in strength as well. She was trily grateful to be accompanied by such a great companion. Kirara saw that he was a bit weakened and offered him her shoulder. Though she was smaller than him, she could still assist him. "Hey, from now on Ill take charge! Just leave it to me!" She exited the room just to find herself in an even larger room with Imai.

The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara] Empty Re: The Hidden Gold, Beneath Our Feet [Job | Imai & Kirara]

To be fair, the situation would turn for the worst if any of the treasure hunters were to show up too soon. Imai was full of energy, but the way that he used it could strain anybody. He still had to fully master the hidden potential that resides in his soul, especially if he ever hoped to get out of this cave alive; that counted Kirara as well. What comrade would ever leave their companion in situations like these, anyway? Besides, Kirara sounded like that she believed in his strength from the depths of her heart, in which Imai couldn’t allow himself to disappoint her. Also, she exchanged quite the reaction after Imai poked her forehead as her face kind of burned; and yet, he remained clueless of her actual feelings, which wasn’t to be blamed. They both had a lot to do at the moment…

After the rocky obstacle was removed, Imai really felt the need for a little rest. His stance was slightly altered from before when he was fully active, and everyone could see that he had done a lot to come to this point. As he slowly moved, he spotted Kirara’s shoulder as a kind of invitation to ease his movements a bit. “Um… thanks, I guess,” he spoke back as his arm would move around her neck to let him rest on her shoulder. He definitely found it easier to walk now, and he could instantly feel it surge through his body… warmth. He couldn’t explain with words how it felt, but it definitely made him blush a little. “… Alright, cap’: lead the way..!” he encouraged Kirara as she suggested herself to take charge. He didn’t see any problem in that as there didn’t appear to be much further to the head treasure…

He really hoped that they could have a moment of piece as they entered another room, but a few moments after their feet stepped on the dark marble, two other figures appeared from the other side. “Forget it. The treasure isn’t here…” one voice spoke up to the other figure, “Perhaps it’s beneath… !!! All of a sudden, they stood face to face with Imai and Kirara, reflexively leaping backwards as they made space. “Huh… that face,” Imai slowly spoke up to the two strangers, “Harper?!” The person whom Imai referred to couldn’t but laugh at the statement, in which he replied: “In the flesh. And I believe that you are the ones whom the Magic Council sent… they always try and spoil my plans.” A second later, the entire room’s atmosphere changed; mirror-like objects could be seen reflect all around the place, resembling the insides of a pale crystal. “You take care of them; I’ll try and find the grave. It won’t be much further away from here,” Harper spoke to his companion, before darting through the floor in a shell of crystals. As he was gone, Imai and Kirara had to face this other crystal mage, who most likely wouldn’t let them go anywhere…
