    Job

The mountainous village, a remote and hard location to reach to be sure, but the peaceful attitude, the hardy people, and the warm climate certainly made the trip worth it. With so much vegetation the prey around the area was plentiful and docile, making them able to gather basic resources incredibly fast. One couldn't help but admire the sheer fact that they have survived this long cut off from most forms of supplies and outside influence, they were truly natural born survivors. The one weakness they had was the potential for outside influences to easily strike, as they seemed ignorant of the world around them. Hecate view this weakness with somewhat of an awe, to have your only real weakness be that of ignorance, well it was a blissful weakness to have, not knowing the strife of others or the problems that plagued the world was a blessing. If only she could have lived like they do now, maybe she would have had a far brighter future instead of the one she was living in now. Melancholic was the mood for Hecate in this moment as she wandered around the town which had a primitive vibe with furs and decorations, but a modern twist in the stone architecture. Compared to much of what she had read about in this era, it was she walked back in time for this.... job? Yes, a job, not a battle, not a march, not a rally but just a job where you got paid for assisting others. Such a peaceful concept, it brought a small surge of joy to the Hecate's old heart, so many didn't know the horror of true war, the reason she had fought in the past had finally been realized.

Then her heart also felt another source of pain, the source of ignorance and ungrateful attitudes that surged throughout the people of the lands. Complaints about how hard their lives were, disagreement over petty aspects of life, it was disgusting. Almost none of them knew what true hardship was, they hadn't had to kill your former friend the next day because they betrayed you for the enemy, they didn't have to sleep with one eye open for fear of dying, they didn't have to make sure that there was enough to eat, they didn't have to build crypts to hide from hated enemies. To her, most of the more common complaints were nothing but whining from those who believed they were entitled to so much more than they had, so much more than Hecate ever had. If it hadn't been for her sense of honor, she might have headed down the path of what others called dark guilds, but Hecate made a small promise to Mao in thanks for informing her of the world and the fact that she had no place to go anyway. The one aspect of the group she had joined that she disliked was the fact of "no killing", it seemed foolish to her. She could understand how it was hard for some people to end the life of another, but death was a natural state of being, and killing your enemies meant they couldn't come back to try and kill you again. Perhaps times had just changed, but she would certainly never understand why killing was never a good option.

As she wandered about the village with her hands in her pockets, Hecate saw the people's smiling faces, and how they went about their daily lives, it was sweet and inspiring.

A little too sweet and inspiring.

There was something off about all of the people, euphoria was one thing, but this wasn't a festival, this wasn't a celebration of a victory, this was just everyday life and Hecate refused to believe that people loved life so much to be happy every day, there was always a problem with someone's attitude, always a personal problem, always another desire that clouded ones mind. These people weren't just happy, they were enthralled in their happiness. That was the keyword wasn't it, enthralled, unnatural levels of emotions only made sense if something was influencing them, and that is exactly why Hecate had come here, to discover the plot laid against these people. Much like those from her own time, those here were hardy yet ignorant, prepared but unprepared for the real threat, those of their own kind. While she didn't have much in the way of clues, she hoped that with a little snooping she might.

Entering a bar as she had read they were the best sources of information, she reeled a little bit at the smell of alcohol. She never liked smell nor the taste of alcohol, it dulled the senses and made one vulnerable in the worst of times. Having a euphoric celebration wasn't worth your life in an ambush, and she had lost good men and women to such folly.  The various individuals enjoying their time here made her feel slight pity if she had felt like it all of them could have died without even knowing it. Such peaceful times really did breed a different culture.

Approaching the counter she figured that is where the owner or at least one of the workers was, Hecate took a seat on the strange stools and motioned for him to approach her. he had a fancy mustache and a pompadour hairstyle, not what she was expecting.

"What can I do for ya?"

"I'm a newcomer, you hear of any rumors about the town?"

"A newcomer, we don't get any of those up here, you are the first... how interesting, want a drink on the house?"

"No thank you, but what do you mean I am the first outsider?"

"Just that, I haven't ever seen one of your kind show up here, fancy that right? Anyway if you change your mind just call out to me."

His tone shifted as he spoke and his brow became strained like he was trying to remember something but couldn't. Normally one would brush this off as nothing but bad luck, however Hecate viewed it as far more than bad luck, she viewed it as a clue, surely others had been here before, that is why this place was documented, which meant that memories were being tampered with, or at least people were being replaced. She wasn't sure which was worse. Sitting there contemplating what it all meant, she didn't expect anyone else to join her on this little venture, but she was about to be surprised.

Aiyana was not sure on how she felt about the job she had agreed to take for a girl named Alyia. The nine tailed fox did not know her at all, but here she was about to go to her hometown and find out what was going on there and try to solve the mystery of it at the same time. Alas, the woman had no time to worry about such things. With people like Mao able to handle the guild, and the other Terran's that had congregated to the country of theirs willing to do anything to help, the guild master of Pharaoh's Call was easily able to prepare for a job on her own and not have to worry about everything going south while she was gone. She had complete confidence that Mao would not become some racist, sexist, entitled bigot that would build some massive wall around the country just to keep people from living on the land. Hell, if that happened Aiyana would have to have a nice long told with the other woman. How could either of them hate illegal immigrants when neither of them were even a native born being to the planet they now resided on?

Shaking her head, getting rid of the silly intrusive thought that would only be possible is some adopted faggot got super salty and started raging while singing a song about darkness imprisoning them was causing it, the woman began to prepare for her mission by making sure she had everything she needed for the day. She would only grab one of her two weapons, he ever loved khopesh she had grown accustomed to, as well as made sure her armor was ready to be brought into this realm when needed. The armor floated through the celestial realm, ready to be brought into the realm they were currently in at a moments notice. This allowed the woman to give herself the appearance that she wanted up until it was put upon her. Her naked body was covered in the magical illusion of clothing, the normal that seemed to be always upon her. Her charm bracelet would go on her left wrist, her dominant hands in fact, and the mask of Anubis would be placed on her side in case she had to use the telepathy that it could grant when worn. Once she was satisfied with this she would groom her tails, surely a daunting task if one was not used to that much fur, before making sure her long hair was brushed properly as well.

Once ready the woman would speak up, seemingly talking to an empty room. ”All right Memory. Let's get this show on the road and see what's going on up in the Mountain Village. It won't be a long trip, I've seen enough recordings and images of the place to get us close enough to it to allow us enough time to finish this job today.” No sound would respond to her, the shadow based fairy simply attaching to her shadow and leaving an odd sensation of readiness in the back of her mind. With a nod the woman would focus and bring herself into the celestial realm before focusing on the spot she wished to return to on Earthland. The place upon which she stood had a few trees scattered about, though the mountains she was surrounded by were the main beauty of the place! Unfortunately she did not have enough time to stop and take in the sights, not if she wanted to finish this job and get her pay and some more experience on her belt.

It would only take an hours travel after her little stunt to reach a quaint looking village that almost seemed too peaceful. Though due to where her country was, and the time zone difference between there and this area of Earthland, the woman managed to get there by evening while things were starting to get darker. The large smiles on everyone sort of threw her off, though she herself could sometimes do that to others as well. People waved at her as if she was nothing special to see, even though she was a nine tailed fox and most definitely something new and exotic for these people to set eyes upon. It was strange that no one recognized her at all, or even thought to question her on anything. Were these people blind to the happenings of them on the planet? So much had happened that should cause people so apt to happiness to worry about the newest stranger in their village. Or maybe they were so used to it they just did not give a damn about some strange creature just walking in. Maybe they even had a dragon, or some gay sparkling vampire that had come around and made ever thing seem normal by default! There would only be one way to know, and that was to get information on the village or anything that might be going on. Not wishing to bug any normal passerby, the vixen decided her best bet was to simply find a bar or pub and just inquire from the barkeep about anything interesting that was going on.

Finding the bar was simple, it was the only one and was quite obvious if one actually took the time to view their surroundings. Not to mention that it was getting late and people were more inclined to drink now rather than earlier in the day. That way they could sleep off the alcohol after any romps they may go on in their drunken state. The woman would enter the bar as a woman and man chatted with each other. Long black hair, and obviously taller than Aiyana, the woman was sitting on a stool at the bar while she chatted with the bartender about something. Realizing that she had to talk to the bartender anyway, the female spirit walked up and took a seat next to the other girl before speaking up. ”I'll take a double scotch, neat please. And has anyone interesting shown up recently? Or maybe something else interesting that has gone on? I do love me a good story when I drink some hard liquor.” The woman would turn her head to face the other woman, a warm smile on her face, before talking to her as well. ”A nice evening for a job tonight. Having a good night?” The words were almost flirtatious, though that was hard for her not to do when she was on her own. Lusty is as lusty does after all, and she was basically the deadly sin incarnate. Mao was lucky, and unlucky, to have her on that note. Such an innocent being had a lot to learn from her, and there was much that went right over the other girls head. The way the other woman looked made her realize she may not be into the other, though it was too late for that now. At worst she would get a slap to the face, unless this was some sadistic twat that just wanted to watch the world burn. In that case she would just have to calm her down and move on with the job while hoping no one in the village tried to restrain her after. Not that she didn't mind being put into bondage in a while, if you know what she means. It would just make it a bit hard for her to investigate if everyone was trying to tie her up and keep her from roaming around freely.

”Sorry, I didn't mean for that to come out so flirtatiously! Bad habits die hard... My name's Aiyana.” A late introduction, yes, but at least it was a start to a new conversation that might come to help her now or in the future. The bartender would quickly make her drink before any response to her words were made by either, a sip from the drink being made as the bartender spoke up.

"A newcomer, we don't get any of those here. In fact, you're the second one. The drink is on the house, since the one next to you turned it down.”"

The man's words confused her quite a bit, especially with how those outside had reacted. How could she be the second newcomer ever when this village was visited a lot more often than that? There was something going on here, and it seemed it was going to be something dangerous if it was anything like the jobs she had done in the past. Danger, excitement, fighting, and possible sex and nudity. The events she had been through were almost like a triple A game designers wet dream for some sexy rated adult game that would be purchased by a bunch of niche lovers of a series they made. Though the girl before her was the first newcomer? Huh, maybe they could figure out what was going here together! Well, that was if they could manage to get along through the first words they made to each other.

"You aren't even drunk yet and already acting like a damn fool."

Was the quip that came out of Hecate's mouth without any source of remorse or reluctance. Her tone wasn't harsh, it was just stern and strong, she found it amazing that she was already being hit on so fast, and by a woman no less, some strange woman with... wait she didn't know much about this new world she had awoken too but she did know one thing, this weird fox girl was definitely someone important in that guild thing she had signed onto with Mao's encouragement. What was that called, the guild mistress? No, though she did look like a prostitute that couldn't be right, a guild couldn't be led by an actual whore now, could it? Well, it takes all kinds she supposed, but for the first time in a while, she could give the benefit of the doubt merely because she didn't know the woman, just in case she proved to be far worse than a whore. Initial impressions didn't show that she would be any better than one, but that can be blamed on Hecate's more serious personality.

"My name isn't important to someone who has yet to earn respect, and I wish I didn't know who you were so that I may just walk away..."

Right now the bartender was looking at her with a less than happy expression, apparently, he was displeased that she was bullying now a paying client, but Hecate didn't care. If the man really disliked her that much he could go out and fight a war and come back as sunshine and rainbows, or he could try and throw her out, that would certainly leave a nice laugh or too in the wake of his tortured corpse. Normally she would be calmer right now and not think of torturing the poor man, but when she experiences stress, well, she just wishes to relax a little bit and punishing idiots can be such a pleasurable release, especially if they start the fight in the first place.

"I swear the description of you can't be wrong, I doubt many have so many tails and such distinct... features... as yourself."

Really did she have to let it all hang out like that, did she not even believe in a bit of modesty, or at least teasing to what she might actually have. Wait, why was Hecate even worrying about fashion, darn it she really did have a few weaknesses didn't she, and it was in how old fashioned she was, even though to her it was as current as current could be. That was the major weakness of being asleep for so long, you turned into a grandma in terms of most popular trends. She'd have to do some research to not be "lame" to others.

"Seriously, I dread saying it, but I believe you are Aiyana correct? Guild mis... master, that's right master, of Pharoahs call? Don't act so excited as if you are that famous, I just know you from Mao and have yet to actually meet you... now that I have..."

    Her expression sunk.

"I'm less than impressed. I expected the leader to be far more serious, and not immediately hit on the first 'piece of ass' that she saw. I assume you are here for the same reason as me?"

Hecate looked over towards the bartender who expression kept getting stranger and stranger, this wasn't just annoyance this was turning into hate, hate which stemmed from something deep within, potentially unnatural. Perhaps she had found more of a clue than she actually thought. She could try and test it right now, but she would just be on her guard, and would make it slightly obviously that she was wary of the man who had served Aiyana a drink, as a bit of a test to see if Aiyana at least had skill and to ensure Hecate wasn't just following a blind fool who lacked skill at all. Very harsh, but to be fair Hecate didn't trust Mao all that much either, and trust was hard to gain from Hecate when most of her friends had ended up dead within a week of her meeting them.

What had just happened? Had this person just...insulted her? The woman blinked slowly as she listened to the words of discouragement flood through this other woman, over a simple accident in her tone really. It was a second slow blink as her brain tried to process the facts of it all. It was almost like someone telling a really bad joke to Mao and having it chock full of innuendos, she just didn't get it. While it wasn't the blue screen reaction like when she had gotten a good feel up on Mao for their first photo shoot, though her mate still did not have any memories of that day at all. While it was probably due to her race's treatment of her, it was still sad to think that something new was blocked out or gone completely. Ah well! There was more important things to focus on, such as this woman completely roasting her as the bartender simply glared at them with a look that slowly became angrier and angrier as the angry woman ranted on.

The black haired girl never gave her name, adding to her rudeness, and went on to degrade Aiyana in any way that she could have before finally giving away that she had heard of her more than she realized. So this was the one Mao had recruited for Pharaoh's Call? She would have to talk to her love and let her know that she needs to get to know these people before just stamping them into the guild. Aiyana Shuer remembered the other saying she was kind of 'rude,' but she had not expected THIS to be what she meant. Rude, Abrasive, it was more than that. Rude. As. Fuck. It was apparent now that this woman was here for the same reason that she was, the questions about this town being put upon them to answer. ”I...I'm sorry to give such a bad impression, even if it was an accident. But I am here for the same reason as you, so let's just get to business so we can get out of here some time soon.” A look over at the barkeeper would show face that read more than just angry. There was a hatred there, a hatred she had not seen since the woman known as Sharp had helped her with some people trying to kill members of the guild. That day had been the first time she had died, and found out that she was immortal due to being a celestial spirit. It was a malice, something deep within bringing out a hatred that the runner of this bar should not be feeling towards two customers that were in a bad conversation.

It wasn't long before the man excused himself to leave to the back room behind the bar, which was when Aiyana quickly finished her drink before speaking to the one that had so rudely berated her. ”I do not like how he was looking at us. It was malicious, and that doesn't seem like the reaction he should have to two newcomers that he just offered free drinks to. Maybe we should see what he's up to, or get out of the bar and search somewhere else in this village for clues. Either way this seems like it'll be more dangerous than the letter implied.” The nine tailed fox had no fear of any danger that lie ahead, it was fear for the safety of the one before her. It Mao had recruited her there was surely SOMETHING she saw in the woman, right? The vixen would have to giver her mate the benefit of the doubt, and hope that it wasn't some joke that the girl took seriously that this one was saying. ”And don't worry about giving your name, if you feel that way about me. Not now, or ever if you feel the need to keep it to yourself.” After all, she could just ask the spacial devourer once she got back to the country her guild resided in. Well, after they fus ro dah'd all over the bedroom and some other locations around the country.

Hecate didn't speak another word until the barkeep moved out of her line of sight and made the atmosphere less uncomfortable, that and she wanted to figure out just what he was up to with that glare. Nothing had been right so far and the appearance of her guild master had only complicated things just now. Mao had told her how the guild had a no killing policy and that meant that Hecate had to operate without lethal force, which is what her entire being had been trained to use and carry out. As much as she would have loved to brag about how she was the second in command of her forces, she knew that her leader was really the one in charge of everything and she was just used as a tool to keep all those underneath him in line. No one would try and take his power away so long as she stood by his side, and for a while, Hecate didn't mind being used, she just wished to never experience the feeling of constantly looking over her shoulder for a sign of betrayal from her leader again.

This Aiyana seemed to try and make amends, but she missed the point of what Hecate was getting at. Did the girl really think Hecate cared if she tried to hit on her as a joke, it showed that she was unprofessional or liked role playing, but again not the point. Hecate wanted to see just how focused the other could be and if they were a fit leader, so far they had failed the test, but not completely. At least they were quick to revert back to what she assumed was her natural state of being, a kind state, however, Hecate had little use for kindness where she had come from and viewed it as a weakness in most cases. No one gave anything for free and everyone had a price, Hecate just hoped she would find Aiyana's price before it was paid.

"I don't need an apology, I need you to focus, good job noticing that he had been giving such a strange look out of nowhere. My insults somehow made him incredibly upset, unlike you. How odd, though, how could someone hate another so harshly when they had only heard a few words. No normal person should care, especially in this peaceful of a town, something is off."

Hecate moved her right hand underneath her chin and began to ponder a bit, negativity seemed to make the man go into a harsh glare, was he just a touchy fellow or was he under some sort of spell, considering the fact that he was so robotic before, she was willing to bet that a spell had been cast and this entire village was probably under its influence.

"That bartender, his actions are all off, there is no way we could be the first visitors here, he's either in on it or more likely under some form of spell. If he is in on it, we need information, you dislike killing and have mandated that it isn't allowed, however, if this village could pose a threat to the world through some kind of mind control spell, and you had the chance to end it forever, would you take the shot? I need to know if you are going to have my back if you would pull the trigger on someone if they were that big of a threat, if not I need to make sure I am the one holding the gun."

"Also, yes the barkeep, we should see what is up with him, worst case it was a mistake, best case we get a lead on what is going on here."

Did this woman think she was so unfocused that she could not do what was needed of her at this exact moment in time? It appeared Aiyana had given this woman the idea that she may not be as intelligent as she really was. That was for a later time, luckily, as there was more current things that were of greater importance than the feelings these two were having towards each other. "Yeah, no one in a town like this should be that upset over words between patrons, especially at a bar." Having come from a port town, one outside the influence of Fiore and other governments, Aiyana had grown accustomed to the smaller population life as a child. For someone to react so violently, even if just in mannerisms, meant there was something up here.

Of course, their job here was to figure out what was wrong and now they were starting to see some of that strange behavior that seemed to lead them to the problem at hand. It was as she thought on this that the other woman would speak up on the subject as well. The last part of it was what most would consider a trick question, one that put her values up for question depending on her answer. Her face would grow a more stern look, quite the difference from the casual smile she seemed to always have, before she would actually speak up. "There is definitely something up here, and we will be questioning him back there where he seems to be hiding from us. However, there will be no need for killing if we can manage it. If he's mind controlled then he has no thoughts for his own safety, and capturing him would be the best route for him. There is no reason to end a life, unless another life is on the line. If we can find the source of the supposed mind control, in that scenario, then we can end it and save Fiore; including the people of this village. Until we find out what is really going on we can't say for certain if a life needs to end. I can assure you, if there MUST be a life taken, I won't stop you from doing so. But I will do everything in my power to keep the lives here going."

Aiyana would be honest with her, she had nothing to hide after all, and hoped it would not look poorly on her. With the bad start she really didn't need to make it worse, not with what was supposedly the newest recruit of Pharaoh's Call. Getting up from her seat, Aiyana would make her way behind the bar and look back at the other girl. "Let's go see what he's doing back there. Nothing good, I assume." The woman would then push through the door to find herself in a large storage room that seemed to cover the rest of the floor space of the building they were in. It was nearly twice the size of the bar room, and it was almost a maze with all the shelving and kegs littering the place. Aiyana would keep her tails wrapped around each other, the bundle kept up against her back to keep them from knocking into anything as she slowly sneaked her way through the room. It would take a few minutes to find the man in the back right corner of the room, seemingly talking to himself as he was literally nose to wall. Aiyana would look back to see if the other woman was there before nodding and pointing to the man. There was no way for the two to speak at the moment, but they needed to get this guy captured and get him to talk. There was something wrong here, and the nine tailed fox wanted to see this other person do the capturing so the guild master could do the talking after; if she would get a chance to and this other one didn't get it all in first.

Not much was to be said in-between their movement from the bar's counter towards the back room. Thankfully many of the patrons were either drunk or they didn't notice them sneak off, which made this all the easier. There was seriously something up within this town and Hecate wished to find out exactly what was going on, be it the influx of people thinking no one else had visited the entire population seeming to just wander around with stars in their eyes. If Hecate had to guess it would be something like mind control at the worst or just a minor forget spell at best. While she had mused over this beforehand, it was now that she was getting the idea that she was correct as the man seemed to move in a robotic way. To compare if one looked at Aiyana she made small missteps and the tails moved on their own, this man headed from point A to point B without flinching or moving in a strange way. One could argue that he knew the bar but at the same time no one moves with that much purpose to simply get into the back room of a place, there was something else going on here, something sinister. Time to find out what.

Hecate could do things the easy way or the hard way, the hard way involved tying the man down and making him talk, the easy way involved manipulating what fluids he had inside of him to pin him in place. Considering that Hecate likes to make things as easy as possible while on these kinds of missions and scenarios, you can guess that she quickly held the man up on the wall by his own innards. approaching the man as he became pinned towards the wall, Hecate made sure that he couldn't speak, especially since the first thing he was trying to do was call for help. Her arm outstretched she turned him around to face them, his windpipe clearly being choked.

"Call for help and it won't ever open again."

Letting the windpipe loose a bit the man began to scream for help till she closed it tightly again. Crap, this guy was either the bravest man in the world, considering he hadn't pissed himself, or he was, as she had suspected, under some form of spell. Considering he was yelling for help and his face didn't so much as flinch at the thought of her murdering him, she was going to go with the latter. Knocking him unconscious from the lack of oxygen, she sighed and turned towards Aiyana, who was no doubt already yelling at her or horrified at what she had seen.

"He's not dead, but to try and call for help even when threatened like that, I think we have our answer, this place is clearly under some kind of mind control spell or ability, or conduit, or whatever other crazy magical device could do this. Hopefully all we will have to fight is these villagers, and then we can stop whatever is causing this."

Aiyana had expected a simple way of capturing them, not what happened here this day. It was clear what the newest member of Pharaoh's Call was doing, the motion of her hand making it clear she was using her magic to choke the man. The guild master's surprised gasp as she realized what was going on seemed to be missed, or ignored, as the other woman continued to carry on and speak. It was then that he realized she should do something, and the words began to flow. "I said we do NOT kill people! Not TO kill people! Do I have to follow you everywhere you go and make sure you follow one of the few rules of the guild?!? If I have to I WILL drain your mana and take you back to the guild so we can talk about it in full after this job!" The anger on the woman's face would instantly disappear when Hecate turned back to her and spoke to the nine tailed fox as if she had not heard a single word that had been said to her. There would be a few, slight, twitches of annoyance from her multiple tails as she realized just how much work she had in store for herself if she wished to have Hecate following the rules when not being watched twenty-four seven.

It was clear that yelling more would do nothing useful at this point so Aiyana did the only thing that was possible for now, listen and respond. Hearing that he was not dead, the vixen moved to the man and tied him up. A loose rag would be stuffed in his mouth, ties there with more rope, so he could not scream for help after waking up. "Yeah, it's definitely something else controlling them. We just have to find it and destroy it. Try not to endanger their lives though. They have no control of their own actions if we are correct., and I would rather not have to deal with the consequences of killing one if they all remember what happened while they were under the control of whatever, or whoever, it is doing it." The woman would slowly stand up, dusting some dirt off of her legs as she did so, and then twitched her ears as she heard a small noise somewhere else in the bar's back room.

Head would turn as she looked around and began to pull out her khopesh, a weapon she preferred to use the blunt part of when fighting. "There's something, or someone, else back here. I heard movement, and it wasn't from anything tiny. Probably another person, maybe another person mind controlled?" The woman would take a small step forward in the direction she had heard the noise in, only to hear a louder noise that seemed to be the sound of running feet.

"Or it is an enemy about to try and beat our faces off..."

Hecate paused for a moment as she realized what it was that she had just said and who she had just said it to. She had to correct this.

    "Well beat us up anyway."

Good, now that the slip up was handled Hecate could focus on ensuring that whatever was coming closer to them wouldn't be able to get the jump on them so easily, instead she would get the jump on them in this instance, and probably get yelled at again for murder but hey if they wanted to try and kill her for no reason they would get a knife in the back.

"I'll get the jump on them, don't worry, or do worry because you think I will murder everything."

Which she will but that was beside the point. Vanishing into thin air, she phased through the wall in order to spy on who was approaching and expected some poorly armed peasants or the like. She couldn't have been more wrong, they weren't simple citizens, they were monsters, well part monster but having half of your body taken over by some strange tentacle thing classified you as a monster right? While Hecate debated the morality of attacking these strange abominations. Aiyana might wish to try and find out what happened to them or cure them or something along those lines. Normally rational, Hecate would have managed to hold herself back from full-on assault, but the way that the strange hybrid moved it... triggered something within her.

The entire bar was being filled up with them as the innocent just continued about their day like nothing was wrong, and as one approached the door next to Hecate, her restraints were loosened. Grabbing it by the deformed throat she manipulated what little fluids/water it had in its body and caused it to explode, creating a mush upon the ground and walls that one couldn't recognize as any normal gore, but rather something far more alien. This only made her react with more disdained filled horror as she, still invisible, began to rush around the room and burst the various creatures about the bar. The sounds of them all popping echoed within the chamber and would be painful obvious to those within the area.
