Takumi's 19th (open)

Takumi walked happily into the guild, whistling a jaunty tune. For once he was actually happy, because it was his birthday. Takumi touched his spiky white hair, noting that it was messier than normal. Oh well. That didn't matter much.

Behind Takumi was Wist, carrying a bag that contained a present for his master, though Takumi didn't know that. Takumi looked around, hoping that somebody he recognized would be there so he wouldn't have to sit alone as he usually did. The young ice mage was so happy that his cloak had begun to take on a thin layer of ice, though he didn't seem to notice that either. The short boy stood there awkwardly, looking for something to do or someone to talk to.

It was a normal day in the guild hall it was as rowdy as normal and Julius was like usual sitting at a table with his parrot Squable. *sigh* This whole situation still sucks... Julius said with a bored expression. Oi Julius-kun it isn't you to talk like that! I know that this whole Fairy Tail thing is kind of hard for you! But look at everyone here! Everyone is trying to make the best of it! It's like Fairy Tail hasn't changed! Squable tried to cheer him up but Julius just rolled his eyes. Julius knows that it's just... Julius came a bit closer to Squable and whispered something. Julius you aren't serious about this?! Squable said troubled. Julius hasn't made a decision yet... But Julius is considering it... Julius bit his lip.

Julius looked around and noticed Takumi walking around the hall with what looks like a present in his hand. But what more odd was was the fact that he looked happy, which wasn't really a bad thing but Julius got to know him as a bit off a negative person. Julius continued to talk to Squable discussing about Julius' troubles.

Takumi continued to look around and spotted Julius. He couldn't help but blush, though he still decided to walk over and talk to him anyhow. "Hi Julius!" said the young ice mage brightly, blue eyes sparkling. He sat down with a small smile on his pale face. Wist rolled his eyes seeing where his master had chosen to sit down and left Takumi to it, going instead to answer a member of the guild who had asked why Takumi was so happy. Takumi looked at Julius. "So what's up?"

As Julius continued discussing with Squable he didn't noticed that Takumi was standing at their table. Julius got startled as Takumi greeted Julius. H-H-Hi Takumi-kun! Julius really hopes that Takumi didn't hear us talking... Julius doesn't want to leak it out yet! As Julius was trying to recover from his almost heart attack Takumi sat down at the other side of the table looking at Julius with a smile. Squable flew towards Takumi and inspected the bag Takumi was dragging along with him. Oi Takumi-kun! What's in the bag? Squable! Don't ask that! Maybe he doesn't want us to show that! but Julius has to admit that he is curious with what's in the bag...

"Oh, this?!" Takumi laughed aloud. "It's just a present from Wist. I think. He won't let me open it until we get home, but it's my birthday present." Takumi smiled at Julius, who seemed to be quite shocked. The young mage fixed his white hair and chuckled a little more, blue eyes dancing merrily. "Haha, I never thought I would survive to see 18, but I guess I proved myself wrong by making it to 19" Takumi noticed how nervous Julius looked and his eyes narrowed a bit. "Wait, is something wrong? You know you can talk to me if something is bothering you, right?"

Takumi explained that even he doesn't now what's in the bag and that he got it from someone called Wist. Who is this... Wist person? Julius asked him. Squable flew away from Takumi and landed on Julius shoulder. Takumi mumbled about something never making it to 19 it sounded very sad by Julius. Ummmm... What do you mean by never making it to 19 Takumi-kun? It seemed like Takumi noticed Julius being nervous and asked if something was wrong. O-O-Oh no... everything is alright Takumi-kun you don't have to worry about it hehehe... Julius let out a nervous laugh.

"It's just... I always thought my curse would've killed me by now. And Wist? He's my pet." Takumi pointed to where the shape-shifter was standing. The young mage looked at Julius with a knowledgeable gaze. "Julius, you wouldn't look so worried if nothing was wrong. You can tell me if something is bothering you. I won't tell anyone." Takumi continued looking at Julius with those big blue eyes of his, hoping that the other boy would choose to confide in him.

“Won’t tell anyone what..?” That voice came from the entrance to their new guild hall, in which a specific shaman walked in through. Long hair went down his neck, completely different from his previous, shorter hairstyle. His eyes were calmed, filled with reflection of every single thing in the room. Those eyes scanned the entire area, before settling on the couple at the table. Both recognizing faces, but something was odd… it was as if they were talking about something serious. Well, whether they even talked or not, Mura had just come back from a mission and found a good chance to return to the guild. Although, if you were familiar with the old Mura, then something might’ve changed this time; not alone his hair, but also his face and its attitude… it was more calm than usual. Also, two spirits were beside him this time; the usual samurai and a new face in the guild... a dragon's head, floating on top of his shoulder.

Curse? Takumi-kun you have to be a bit more clear since Julius doesn't understand what you're talking about... The boy didn't made any sense. What's this curse he keeps talking about? Julius didn't wanted to ask to much questions about this topic. Wist is your pet? Takumi started to look around the guild hall and pointed to a random wizard. Julius started to get more confused by the second. Takumi kept pressing the issue about Julius' nervous behavior. Before Julius could even respond Mura appeared. Oh hi Mura-kun! Julius started to inspect Mura a bit more he looked a bit different then the last time Julius saw him. *chuckle* Wow Mura-kun you look a bit more mature now! Why the sudden change?

"I was cursed when I was young. This curse not only causes me physical pain, but is fated to eventually kill me as well. I cannot escape it any more than my sister's could escape their fates." Takumi looked over at Mura before returning his gaze to Julius. "But let's not dwell on this any furthur. Today should be fun! It is my birthday after all." Takumi held julius's gaze, blue eyes begging him to drop the painful subject. Instead he called his pet over, who had shifted into his wolf form. "This is Wist, Julius."

Boing, boing~

"Ehehe! What a fun place!" Black pigtails bounced up and down, to and fro as the odd little figure danced over the bridge between two trees, leaning into the room within one of the trees. Wide brown eyes took in the entirety of the room, awe appearing on her youthful face. Looking around the preteen age, the girl who knew herself to be Chika Koizumi, age 13 bounced on in. It was a rather odd character this was indeed. Wearing a baggy jacket over leggings and a yellow skirt, the odd neon strips on the jacket gave her a rebellious look. A gas mask sat slung carelessly around her throat, finishing off her eccentric appearance. Catching a part of the conversation, Chika bounced right into the room, clapping her hands giddily.

"No way! Existence start and a birthday party already?" A regular bundle of energy, Chika would pull the gas mask off, scrub off any dust, and present it with a huge grin to Takumi, someone she could not remember ever having met. Along with him, there were two other men, one with blonde hair and a slight blush, as well as one with a calm expression and freakishly long hair. "A birthday present!" she exclaimed, forcibly closing Takumi's hands over the mask. "Are we gonna play any games? Will there be cake?" Not even caring that she had just disturbed their conversation, this girl who had never seen any of the people there before seemed to radiate the very spirit of Fairy Tail.

The samurai’s glance moved across both Julius and Takumi as they spoke out; apparently, it was Takumi’s birthday. A special day for oneself, surely. “I see,” he replied after Takumi’s statement, “Well… happy birthday! I hope that you’ll live on to your next one.” A rather typical response to one who had birthday came out of him; at least from where he came from. Julius suddenly asked about his changed form, in which question marks popped on top of his head. “Hm?” he let out as if he had no idea of what he was talking about. It was still the same Mura… or maybe he meant about his change. As soon as Mura realized that, he chuckled. “Just forgot to trim my hair. Don’t mind that.” Obviously, he wouldn’t tell the actual reason just yet, and especially not in such a day as a guild mate’s birthday. He could always explain later…

A moment later, a bouncing object entered the guild hall with a happy tone in her voice. Catching Mura’s attention, his eyes travelled towards the small figure, seeming to have overheard their conversation…just who was this girl? Mura didn’t recall any guild mates that young, and especially not with this certain characteristic. However, as a lot had happened recently, he shook the confusion away and replied: “Well, if Takumi has some, you can get a piece of cake too… I really hope that you brought cake with you.” His eyes suddenly darted into Takumi’s soul like a hungry beast looking at an easy target, carnivorous atmospheres engulfing them in a rather comical matter…
