Her eyelids fluttered slowly as she began to come to. The blonde nun slowly opened her eyes, almost as if she had only just been sleeping this entire time, groggily forcing her body to sit up before she looked around the room to get her bearings, a hand going towards her head as a headache still hung around her skull.

The last thing she could recall was the dragon attacking the Guild... Her eyes widened and she tried to get out of the bed to head towards the nearest window, but she wound up falling to the ground instead. Kiersa bit her lip to hold back any noise of pain, not wanting to alert anyone, or anything... although in retrospect the noise from her falling out of the bed would have probably done that already.

She strained her ears to listen for the roar of magical combat, but could hear nothing. Nothing save for the distant thrumming of people, of life. The blonde nun let out a sigh of relief before she climbed back onto the bed, since that's all she could find herself physically able to do right now. She brought a hand to her head as she lay there, staring up at the ceiling. She tried to speak, to try and call out for anyone there, but found her throat was unresponsive for the moment. It felt raw, unused... Just how long had she been asleep for?

At the roof was a small figure laying, adjusting his headband a little and having his face pointed up towards the skies. It was getting bright, so the pretty stars that shone down on him were faintly disappearing from his vision. It was rather sad for him as a small, comical tear drop trickled down his upset face. Sei, on the other hand, was still so neutral as it merely soared around its company. “Goodbye Taurus… Monoceros… Cassiopeia…” he mumbled in sorrow, before feeling the sun’s ray cutting through his eye with a radiant light. He slowly moved up to sit properly and look at the place, the Ace of Spades; his guild’s home.

He would’ve planned to go back to his own place if not for a certain sound that came from the room beneath him. Standing on the roof, it wouldn’t appear quite as logical to hear such small sounds from inside, although this one was loud enough to be heard even by a guy like him. Knowing that he was quite close to a public cell, he made his way across the roof, until he hanged upside down in front of the window. “Hello? Did someone hit themselves..?” he loudly asked to whoever could hear him in the room. Next up was him slowly knocking at the glass, but letting one hand hold his body was a mistake as gravity won over him a moment after…

And so, he made his way into the medical room himself; a rather big bump was visible on his head. “Ehh…” he let out miserably, “I should be more careful… continue like this, and I’ll probably end up in a sack sooner than I think.” His feet made it through the room, searching for anything to do with the bump, while Sei soared beside him. However, his gaze switched focus towards another figure that was present in the room; a blonde girl that he hadn’t really made his presentation to. Curiously, he asked: “Huh, what happened to you? I hope that it’s not inappropriate to ask, but did you just hit yourself earlier? Or was it just me...”

Post by Godlike Frederik on 22nd October 2016, 4:30 am

Frederick didn't even now how many days already had passed since the Dragons descent onto their guild. All he knew it felt already like a lifetime ago, even though it happened only a couple of weeks ago. The Ace of Spades reminded him constantly, since the dragon destroyed so much, the town as well as the guild was still in repair. Yet life went on, people continued their businesses, went out and made the best with what they got left. And in a way, Frederick admired that resilience of the normal people. That despite all the horrors and pain in the world, they carried on. One step at the time maybe, but still, they kept going.

But it wasn't as if the dragon left any traces, no it had hit everyone. Even the strongest of guilds Sabertooth, who had suffered the full front of the attack. And it was only thanks to its allies, that Sabertooth even stood a chance against such a terrifying beast. But as I said, it wasn't without any costs. Like Kiersa Bec, Sabertooths personal sweetheart so to speak. With her golden blonde hair, and her faith in others she was a beacon of all that was good in the guild. Which was often quite nice, when a place as Sabertooth was often filled with rowdy men who despite their discipline still found the time to bash each others heads over small stuff.
Right now however, the young nun was still in a coma. Just another grim consequence of the Dragons wrath. But not all hope was lost, she got taken care of in a special medical ward down at the Ace of Spades. And she got many members frequently visiting her. Even Frederick dropped by from time to time. Mostly to make sure the ward got everything it needed for her care instead of actually visiting her. But still he dropped by.

This time however, something urged Frederick actually take a look at her for once. So after he was done complaining, to much dismay to the medical staff who already dreaded his mandatory visits. He shoved aside the white curtains that surrounded Kiersa's bed, and was looking straight at a blond girl in a white gown. Who was awake.

For a moment Frederick was staring her with a dumbfounded look on his face, even his mouth hing a bit open. As he wasn't expecting this to happen anytime soon, hell nobody probably would. The next thing he did was turn around and shouted for the nurse who was already walking away. 'Nurse!!! She's awake!'
The next moments happened rapidly. The nun got surrounded by the medical staff, who were prodding her, shined light in her eyes to test her reaction. And much more. While Frederick had already a floating screen projecting in front on him. One of the nice features that Archive accessible magic items provided nowadays. And on it he had the current master of Sabertooth.

'See I told you! She's awake!' He slightly averted the screen towards Kiersa, so that their master could see for herself. Which surprisingly enough was a different face than the nun was accustomed to. 'What don't yell at me! Just get your ass down here for once!'

"This is it, eh?" The purple haired and fang toothed Ex-Sabertooth Knight found himself inside of the new city made for his ex-guild. It was completely different from the castle floating in the sky. Instead of it just being a single castle it was now surrounded by other buildings and residence.

He knew that not many people would recognize him in the city or even at the guild. He had changed a good amount after his time of being gone. His hair was longer and now not its original blue color. His right eye was now red and his left was still its original blue color. The only thing that anyone that knew him would notice was probably his personality of being a complete idiot. Not many knew but this was just a facade for his darker personality.

He had a feeling that he would have gotten lost inside of the city if it wasn't for all the signs placed around it. He followed all of them until he finally found himself standing in front of the castle and was about to make his way into it when his strong sense of smell picked up a familiar scent coming from a window on the side of the guild hall.

Without taking much time to think at all about causing a scene or make himself look like a massive threat, he puckered up his lips and let out a whistle at a certain pitch. Seconds later a serpent-like winged dragon flew over the skies of the city and landed next to Cirven. "Yo Zinny!" He waved to his best friend and pet. He put out his hand and Zinnath lowered her head and caressed it against his hand. He then jumped up onto her back. Zinnath moved her head up towards the window that the scent was coming from. "You smell her too, right? Lets go and see her then!" Without much more of a thought Zinnath flew up the side of the guild hall and stopped at the window where she used her claws to hold onto the side of the building.

Cirven climbed up Zinnath's back and both of them put their heads through the window. "Kiersa! How have you been?" Cirven yelled out in an attempt to surprise Kiersa only stopping when he saw all the medical staff around his friend. "Whats going on?"

The medical staff turned around and instantly were shocked not by just the sudden appearance of a man in the window but by the head of a dragon poking through the window. One of the medical staff quickly put their hand up and readied a spell but quickly stopped once he noticed the two in the window. "Cirven?! Zinnath?!" Cirven simply waved and jumped through the window. "Yo." He then turned to Zinny and spoke to her. Zinny, I think we overdid this and might cause some trouble. Fly back up into the sky. I will make sure she is OK. I'll call you back later if anything, OK?" Zinny grunted but listened and let got of the side of the building then flew off.

    So... Yeah.... Great entrance, right?"

The young blonde girl blinked when she heard then saw the red haired youth talking to her. Before she could even attempt to speak again, she gave out a squeak as she was suddenly assaulted by a lot of medical staff as well as Frederick himself... who was apparently concerned for her well-being?!

She wasn't sure what was the more surprising, the swift and sudden response to her waking up, or the fact that Frederick, the same Frederick who was effectively doom and moody the last time she had known him, was actually concerned and working with the medical staff.

Least she thought he was given that she didn't really recognise who he was talking to on the screen. She looked vaguely familiar, but right now with all the lights being shone in her eyes, things being stuck in her ears and mouth, and generally being poked at all over by the nurses and doctors, it was a little hard to try and actually focus on anything.

What really didn't help was that she was pretty sure that she hadn't even fully recovered yet either from what she'd been through... evidence for this was the fact that Kiersa could swear that she saw a familiar flying sea serpent near the window with Cirven... although given what was going on last time they'd met, she was definitely not certain if that even was Cirven, let alone a hallucination of the real thing.

Suddenly, the room began getting filled with the lots of doctors and medics that were called by Frederick. He just appeared at the bed where this blonde girl lied on, shocked and surprised that she was now awake. Imai was a new face around this guild, so he had yet to get to know this guildmate of his; however, with all the nurses around him at the moment, it seemed like he had to wait. He slowly moved his headband to cover his now little bump, walking towards the previous Guild Master. “Is she going to be fine? I’ve seen things out there too…” He’d witnessed not the arrival of the dragon itself, but the left-outs of it. And, despite the destruction that was made, the people of the Ace of Spades went on with their prideful lives, which was nothing but motivating, beautiful. Then again, he knew nothing of what happened; the news never caught his ears, until he came back to the town. Obviously, the news shocked him back then, but his ignorance prompted him to ask.

Sei poked at his head, noticing the two figures outside of the same window where he came from; a guy that was standing on top of a large dragon had arrived. “Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa- you know those guys?” he shockingly asked Frederick, while having his finger pointed towards them, “Also, 10 out of 10 for the entrance. I gotta say, that was epic!” All of a sudden, the small alien that was resting on his head began floating above the busy doctors and Kiersa, having its big eyes spectate the situation. Imai’s attention was caught by the floating screen where he saw the Guild Master, in which he stuck his head in to call: “Hey, is the Guild Master on? Hey, Guild Master! He’s right, the blonde girl is awake and all!” It would rather look completely random for his to just join the call, but that was him. In a nutshell… seriously, his face was less than inches to the screen.

Fredericks mood was as unpredictable as the weather sometimes, and could be as easily changed in the blink of an eye. The only thing he needed for that was a trigger. Okay sure, let's be honest here, when speaking of triggers. Frederick really didn't need much, hell he could explode in anger if a waitress got one simple order wrong. But there were some things that would definitely let the dark clad mage boil over with anger, and he was now looking straight at him.

'Know those guys...' responded Frederick to Imai 'you could say that'

The trembling tone underlining his voice already gave it away, Frederick was angry and ready to explode. Because right in front of him, coming through the window like some common thief was Cirven Mizune. Once a member of Sabertooth, who left for gods knows what. Leaving them all hanging without even leaving any reason of why he left. Sure Frederick wasn't on the best of terms with the man, in fact they were bickering most of time whenever they were in the same room. But there was always some sort of respect.
But this time it was something else, the guild has just suffered a fierce attack. By a dragon none the less, which nearly destroyed the their home and everyone it. Let alone the Ace of Spades. Hell some of them didn't even made it out unscathed. So when Cirven entered the building as if nothing was wrong, looking at them sheepishly, Frederick basically just lost it.

'You!' he basically shouted 'Where do you even find the fucking guts to show your face around here! In matter of fact, where were you even huh!' His hands were already balled up into fists, and a the black presence what was his magic was already forming around them. Slowly vaporizing upwards, like steam.

Once again, Frederick had lost all perspective of where he and with whom he was.

The familiar deepened voice of the man he used to always fight with rang through his ears. A man who once told him that he would hurt his sister, Aayla as if she was nothing but a object to use to him. Cirven had forced those memories to the back of his head because of the situations that transpired not too long ago but it didn't mean they were gone at all.

His eyes locked onto the man as he first spoke out about who he knew and without the need to go any further Cirven knew what was coming next. All he did was keep a smirk pasted on his face even with the dark magical aura forming from Fredrick coming out. This man didn't know anything about what Cirven had been through recently. What Aayla had been through. The changes they both went through and then the loss they both had to accept. He knew nothing.

"So you are mad because I wasn't here or are you mad because I never sent you some type of notice that I wasn't coming back anytime soon? That we weren't coming back." Cirven dropped his smirk and spoke letting the anger boil inside of him. "Either way it doesn't matter. I am back now to see old friends but if you come at me as something else than a friend I have little reason to hold back to the man who once said he would kill my family." Cirven's tone never got too angered but it could be heard still and even shown as one of his arms formed into a black blade. "She might only be here in spirit but that doesn't mean that I won't defend her. So what do you say, Fred? Are you a friend or are you something else?"

She wasn't hallucinating. Cirven and Zinnath were really here, although the latter was now lurking elsewhere whilst the former... was about ready to slam down with Frederick right here and now it seemed. She had no clue who the red headed boy was, but already felt sorry for him about to get caught in the cross-fire of these two.

The blonde nun tried to look past the doctors and nurses poking at her, catching only a glimpse of a black blade forming from Cirven, something she couldn't recall right now if he could originally do or not, whilst Frederick was emanating his own brand of dark magic from his body.

Kiersa let out a rasp from her throat as she tried to speak, before forcing herself to swallow a few times in an attempt to get her voice into proper working function. "S-St-Stop..." she rasped out quietly at first, before deciding to instead call on the Maker's Solarus, mentally pushing the sphere of holy light that she managed to conjure up between the pair of them, wincing as it made a couple of the medical staff duck down.

The sphere of light didn't last for very long however, as it winked out of existence a few seconds later. The effort required to draw on her mana caused some small beads of sweat to form on her brow. Looks like whatever sleep she was under didn't exactly come with a mana regenerating side-effect to it.

The young blonde nun looked towards the pair of them, her eyes pleading with them to not fight. Her gaze turned to the window, looking out towards the sounds of the Ace Of Spades, of the town that had formed around Sabertooth, being rebuilt, being revived after the battle with the dragon.

She then looked back to the pair of them, hoping that they'd manage to get her meaning behind her motions. There had been enough damage lately... and right now the last thing they needed was an all out magical brawl in the medical ward.

As Kiersa considered the sounds of repairs going on around them, it brought her back to the state of her own body... "H-How... l-long?" she croaked before going into a coughing fit, no doubt her body's form of protest against her speaking when she hadn't fully recovered just yet.

    Spell Used:

    Name: Maker's Solarus
    Rank: D
    Type: Holy, Supportive, Channelling
    Duration: 3 posts
    Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: The caster holds out their hand and creates a floating orb of light that will then stay close to whomever the spell is targeted at. Its basically a glowing ball of light, about the size of an average lightbulb.

Maximum light distance is 5 feet

    Strengths:
    • Can light up any darkness or shadows around the target.
    • Can be cast on allies or objects.
    • Has no limit to number of orbs that can be created, so long as Kiersa has MP to cast the spell.

    Weaknesses:
    • Has no combat role.
    • Does not deal any damage to enemies.
    • Can be destroyed with even non-magical weapons.
    • Cannot be removed from the target except when it either expires or is destroyed.

It didn’t take too long until Frederick answered, although the atmosphere just took a flip around by the look on his face. Just why was he getting so mad all of a sudden? Imai began wondering with fright if he said something wrong in the beginning, until his curious gaze moved towards the guy who entered through the window now; apparently, repeat, very apparently, lightning ignited between the two males. That must’ve been by the fact that Freddy here knew of that other guy, but just not the way that Imai thought. Judging by Freddy’s next words, it appeared as if this guy… wait, wasn’t he welcome? Was he an enemy?! Although, his entrance and all showed no signs of hostility, let alone danger. While they conversed, Imai felt like that little figure in the middle of the picture, who got in between a clash of two blood-red sparks at the same time due to his seemingly troublesome question; well, regardless if he ever questioned about it or not, he would still feel the outcome. “Hey, guys, you’re kind of roasting me at the moment… literally,” he let out worryingly, while the atmosphere around him got tenser and tenser…

Unluckily, he didn’t catch the rasping sound of the blonde guildmate who was seemingly injured for a long amount of time, but what caught his attention was a ball of light that floated up between Freddy and Cirven. It came from the very same blonde’s direction, in which his eyes met hers as she looked… worried. He could see that she didn’t wish any trouble between Fred and this other guy, which could be judged by how she looked outside afterwards, then back at them again. To be honest, he had no idea of her whereabouts earlier this day, in which he faintly tilted his head to her question in ignorance. However, judging by what happened here, he would guess that she’d gotten her injuries from that abomination which tried to destroy the guild hall and town. “Ehm… I guess that- wait, do you know what happened, Fred?” he quickly turned his statement towards the tall guy who was about to engulf himself in magic… wait, when did he start doing that?! It was lucky to switch focus towards him, so that the darkness guy wouldn’t suddenly self-destruct or anything, jeez…
