    Job description:
Job Requirements: B-ranks and above, or two C-ranks provided you have someone higher-ranked with you. Maximum of three players can go or you can do it solo, but it's highly recommended to travel with a partner because you gotta live a little. All members must have a passport. Can only be done once per character. Minimum of three monster rolls. Min. of 350 words per post, min. of 30 posts per player, no max. post count, but at least have a 30 post thread.

Job Location: Joya, Midi and Seven. Your choice of arrangement as long as you visit all three nations.

    Job Description:
There is a flyer that catches your eye as you go about your daily business. Knowing how you felt a little bored, you were compelled with the words 'EXPERIENCE THE BEAUTY OF EARTHLAND!' written in big red letters.

The flyer's from a prominent travel agency in Rose Garden, one that's celebrating its centennial anniversary, and it goes as so:

"Ever wondered of what lied beyond the border of Fiore? You must've dreamt of exploring all those new horizons at least once, haven't you? If you're passport seems neglected, why not stop by and get your tickets to three of the most popular tourist destinations in all of Earthland? From the beautiful rainforests in Joya, to the wondrous temples in Midi and to the breathtaking views of Seven even from the borders, you can visit all of them and more!

Not only will you get to experience the mysteries and beauties of foreign lands, but you'll also get to join the various festivities in the three nations because if you didn't know, it's the season to rejoice! There will be various festivals you can participate in and thanks to our connections, you will be very much welcome to enjoy yourself. Depending on the time you come to contact us, you will get to experience different festivals. You won't worry about time constraint as we will make sure to fix your schedule to accommodate as much festivities and as much fun as we possibly can, because your happiness is what matters most here at Rozette Travels!

To you who is reading this flyer, better turn it in! You're one of the very few who managed to stumble upon this special, one time promo for our centennial anniversary! It's your (and a friend's) ticket to an ALL-EXPENSES PAID trip to the most beautiful places in Earthland (minus Fiore, of course!)

So what're you waiting for?! Come and EXPERIENCE THE BEAUTY OF EARTHLAND!"

Upon approval, you're given a special pendant that glows with the silver of a special Lacrima. It'll allow you to speak and understand the native language of these nations.

Enemies: Your monster rolls will determine which festivals you'll participate in as you go through the different nations. You can only roll once for your festival. If you are lucky (or unlucky) enough to get a festival with mobs, then roll accordingly.

    MIDI:
    Weak/Normal:
Hanami: The Cherry Blossom Blooming Festival

There exists a special species of cherry blossom that only thrives in Midi. They call these trees Sakura, and the reason as to why their so special is that they can't reach their full bloom unless they take in air that is infused with ethernano, the source of all magic. In this festival, you get to join all kinds of wizards from the different parts of Midi and even from various other nations like Fiore and Ministrel as you eat and drink and dance underneath the special blossoms. Just simply gathering a large number of magic users allows the air to be concentrated with ethernano, and while you're there, the Sakura trees will remain in full bloom, their petals almost glowing in a faint pink light.

This festival will last for three days, and you'll get to eat different delicacies and drink special sakura wine. Of course, there will be various dancing courtesans to entertain you in your stay. Make sure to say hi to the Emperor!

    Strong/Boss:
Bushido Sensou: A Festival Full of Sword fights and Samurai

In Midi, the idea of Bushido is upheld and well respected. It not only acts as the driving force for various Midi citizens, but also as the entire foundation of the nation itself. Every month, they hold a tournament to commemorate this way of life and to also see who's the best of the best among their warriors. Upon rare occasions, they invite outsiders such as wizards to act as their final adversary for their brave samurai.

You've been chosen to act as the final boss for the Bushido Sensou thanks to the connections of Rozette Travels. You'll eventually fight the strongest warriors who manage to trample the other competing samurais.

Roll for your enemy. Roll once. Though I've used the pronouns he, feel free to decide the gender of your opponent, their appearance, their name and their attacks. Make it a battle that'll amaze the emperor!

    • Weak: You face a samurai whose sword deals C-rank damage. Apparently he's not too in-tune with the times and does not have magic whatsoever, though he's a bit sturdy considering the way his body is built. He goes down in fifteen hits of C-rank damage. Use tricks to outsmart him, and he might just go down easier.
    • Normal: You encounter a samurai whose sword deals B-rank damage. His sword is imbued with a flame-type magic that makes his cuts deal an extra burn damage that deals C-rank wounds if left untreated. He goes down in five hits of B-rank damage. If you're using an ice-type or water-type kind of magic, he could go down a lot faster.
    • Strong: A samurai approaches you with an expression that seems to be hardened from battle. He uses a body-enhancing buff that halves all the damage he takes from physical attacks. You're a wizard, and you should be fine so long as you use something other than physical. Throw some elements and he goes down in eight hits of B-ranked damage.
    • Boss: Something doesn't feel right. The warrior before you is a wizard, for sure, and he doesn't seem to be playing around. He wields a legendary artifact in the form a pendant that he named the River's Storm. Because of this, he uses some type of water magic and can also heal himself 50 HP from time to time. Careful now, he's clever and fast. He'll go down in three hits of A-rank damage.

*Note: When you're with other players, all three of you can still participate so long as only one of you rolls for your enemy.
    SEVEN:

    Weak/Normal:
Gealach Ghorm: The Harvest Under the Blue Moon

Ever so often, the Sevenwood is illuminated with a beautiful pale blue glow of a rare Blue Moon. To the people of Seven, this means that their Queen is a year older, and that all their harvests will soon be blessed with abundance. All political and daily business is halted to celebrate a grand harvest and to commemorate the birth of their Queen. You are invited to join the festival along with many other wizards from Seven. There aren't many other wizards from Fiore or other neighboring nations because this is a national affair. But because of the Rozette Travel's connections, you somehow manage yourself through to enjoy the beauty of the Blue Moon, as a special guest of the Queen's Court, nonetheless!

Here, you can drink and party to your heart's content. The First Day always starts with a merry moon-viewing, ceremonies with the songs of the people of Seven will resonate through out the night. The next two days will all be merriment that you can imagine to your bidding. Get creative! Make sure to make the Queen's Birthday a remarkable one!

    Strong/Boss:
Rás Foraoise: The Annual Sevenwood Magical Forest Race

The winter has passed and spring has rolled along. It seems summer is just around the corner. And what better way to start the season with a little fiery competition? Here in Seven, Summer is always met with a Forest Race that travels around Sevenwood's complex tree arrangements and architecture. Elite wizards are invited from every part of Seven to join, not just for rewards, but for the enjoyment of meeting summer with the rush of a race.

Your objective is to race around the forest, finishing where you've started, at the center of Sevenwood. There will be several gold markers that you will follow to remain on track, don't lose sight of them or you'll end up lost in Sevenwood.

Of course, this is no ordinary race. Instead of racing on your own two feet, you will be riding special air-borne creatures that are native to Seven. These creatures react to ethernano and this can enhance their flying speed greatly. This makes the race only open to wizards. You can't knock off other opponents, since you're hands are stuck on your creature's leashes that feed on your magic power. The more your creature gets, the faster it becomes. All creatures are decided by draw lots, so there won't be any bias. Just pure ability to connect with the beast in Seven. The race is at least fifteen posts long, and riddled in obstacles such as trees and narrow spaces, so be careful.

Your creature's maximum ethernano in-take will depend on your monster roll. Roll once. You feed these monsters magic points (e.g. 75 MP) to make it fly faster. As a rule of thumb, all these creatures have the same speed of your average cheetah. Just add another one-half of a cheetah every time you feed one B-rank to it. Remember to be a good sport, and don't overfeed your creature, they'll get a little crazy and might fly you off into oblivion. You can't fly above the canopy, okay?

    • Weak: It seems you got yourself a species of dragonfly that makes it home in the northern part of Sevenwood. It's very friendly and essentially, an oversized bug whose golden wings are probably 5 times your size. If you have a fear of bugs, riding it might become hard for you. It's maximum ethernano intake makes up to 5 B-ranks of magic. Once it gets enough, it'll reset after 1 post. Don't worry about falling off, this docile creature cares for its driver and will make sure you get a safe flight.
    • Normal: You seemed to have garnered the interest of a special kind of phoenix native to Seven, it's fire is blue and warm, it doesn't burn you nor does it seem unsafe to inhale. Though a little shy, the phoenix seems to willing to open up to its driver so long as it sees its driver's compassion. It'll take you up on it's wide back while it soars over the forest. It can take up to 10 B-ranks of magic power and can take up more after 2 posts after you reach its limit. A minor caution around curves, your phoenix might end up stuck in vines or get caught up in tight spaces if you don't maneuver it right. Careful!
    • Strong: You must be dreaming, but is that Pegasus? As you near it, the creature flaunts its impressive wings that shimmer in a glorious golden shine. It blinds you a little, but nevertheless, you are amazed. But the creature isn't too friendly and seems a little haughty as you try to ride it. It'll try to fix your posture as you ride or comment on your appearance and will find something to complain about with the knowledge that it's too beautiful to participate in a mediocre race like this. It won't shut up unless you feed it ethernano. It'll take up to 15 B-ranks worth of magic and will stop talking every time you feed it, it can feed again after 4 posts once you hit max. It flies perfectly and there's no danger of falling off this majestic beast unless you feed it, your only real problem is its attitude that will ANNOY you and its habit of stopping at every body of water to admire its reflection. Show it who's boss, and of course, show it who's prettier!
    • Boss: From the shadows comes a brown Griffin, towering above you, with a blood-shot stare that isn't too inviting. Many seem to be wishing you too much good lucks, as if they fear for your life as you try to climb the Griffin. You find out why when it tries to kick you off when you sit on the saddle. Hang on tight. Show it your not in any way afraid or intimidated. Stay brave across the entire race because it WILL try to drop you and it will always favor the more dangerous paths across the forest. It can take up to 20 B-ranks and can be fed again after 5 posts. Please don't let go of your leash, otherwise, not only will you be out of the race, you might as well be out of life as well, because this Griffin hasn't any care in the world for your safety. Establish your relationship by showing your bravery and morals and it might just be a bit more gentle with you.

*Note: In this race, you can feed your creature all at once in one post, just remember your cool down. To make this easier to visualize as a race, imagine your creature as a bowl you can fill with water. It will slowly empty 5 B-ranks every post in the race and you'll deduct the total one-half cheetahs, meaning your creature will get slower overtime. You can only refill the bowl after the given post count.
*Another note: Your job partners will serve as your opponents. The order of drawing is tied to your post arrangement. Don't worry if you get the same roll as another. The monsters who don't have drivers will be driven by your choice of NPCs. Make the race fair and don't god mode it. It's not a smooth ride unless you have the dragonfly. This rule also applies to the soloers.

    JOYA:

    Weak/Normal:
    The Spring Goddess Festival

The people in Joya love to throw parties with good food and good wine. But don't forget that they too, can throw in a festival every now and then that is open to outsiders to join in just for sheer merriment. One fairly popular festivity of theirs is The Spring Goddess Festival, where they come to greet the season with a celebration dedicated to their various deities associated with spring, flowers, and fertility. The tribes set aside their differences and gather into one big group of people who've come to enjoy the season.

Their main event, dubiously titled the Goddess Dance, is entitled for a pair to dance the night away under the light of a great bonfire. There will be music and tambourines and frilly skirts and lively dances and flowers, and to your surprise, thanks to the travel agency, bachelors and/or bachelorettes from various Joya tribes have agreed to become your dance partner for that one special evening. Consider it a date. Your Joyan partner is entirely up to you and it isn't restricted to gender, because these people are quite open to try anything, be it dancing with the same gender. Though this is a lively dance, you are allowed to create the dance moves. Just don't make it seem like your Joyan knows waltz or tango, and make it realistic.

The festival starts at night and ends in the morning. You'll be eating and mingling with the people, but be wary of the prying eyes of the natives, they're quite friendly when it comes to outsiders and might try to make a move on you if you show motive. Otherwise, enjoy yourselves! This festival is only one day, though, so don't get too carried away.

    Strong/Boss:
    The Great Wyld Hunt

Winter is harsh on the tribes, and its the native's elders and leaders who orchestrate a hunting group to bring back rations of meat to last them the winter ahead. The cold season is quickly approaching and the people of Joya invite the strongest of their people, in fact, they're  so desperate to bring in a big haul that they're willing to gather outsiders to be part of their Great Wyld Hunt. Though technically not a festival in terms, in its essentially a celebration considering what awaits at the end of the hunt -the promise of a reward for the group that brings in the bigger number of catch.

The participants are to be split into four groups. And one will each have a tribal warrior coming from one distinct tribe. You and your partners cannot be in the same group. Worry little because you are going with 5 of their bravest and strongest wizards, at least two of them are wizards like you. Together, you will brave the wilderness of their lands to hunt for game for the coming winter. Remember that the hunting group is composed of people coming from the same tribe, so try to learn to cooperate with them and keep away from the advances that they may make on you.

The Joyan people are fierce when it comes to the hunt, so they take this tournament seriously. Show them what you're capable off and you might just gain the favor of their tribal leader. In a way, the more you hunt, the more you're helping that particular tribe gain more food rations. The contest part of everything is only something to keep the hunt going as not a chore, but a grand display of their hunting prowess.

Roll for your enemies. Treat this as your regular roll and kill job and each player can roll up to twenty times (and this is also your maximum no. of rolls). It's still a contest, so whoever brings in the better number (and roll) wins. Feel free to shape your environment accordingly.

    • Weak: Gazelle x10 - The classic gazelle that go about the grasslands in herds. They're very fast and rely on their numbers to avoid predators. They're best taken out in their groups as loud sounds could surprise them. Do it precisely and concisely, they run quickly so close range might not be effective. Push all your long range attacks and don't startle them too much, otherwise you'll have trouble chasing after them. They won't do damage to you, but they're pretty jumpy and they could escape quickly. Roll an attack die and if it hits, then you've killed them. If not, the pack of gazelle run and you have to chase them. They go down in one C-rank, preferably AOE.
    • Normal: Wild Boar x15 - These hairy pigs are a traditional favorite of any tribe. They're fairly easy to catch and have great storage capability. They're quite quick on their feet, so you're better off trapping them rather than chasing them. They go down in 1 hit of B-rank damage. They may tackle you with their horns and that could deal you B-rank damage if you get hit. Don't get on their bad side and snare them as soon as you them.
    • Strong: Water Buffalo x20 - The water buffalos may appear docile, but they're quite a force to reckon with if they've gathered in a group. When they sense a predator, they'll generate a stampede with the herd and it might just deal you A-rank damage if you get stuck in it. Avoid the prospect of a stampede and attack the group in an AOE and you're good to go. They go down in five hits of B-rank damage.
    • Boss: If you roll a boss, consider this as a strong monster x2.

*Note: You and your job partners are on separate teams, so each one will have to make rolls for their individual teams. You have five Joyan hunters with you, two are wizards and three are not. The non-wizards deal C-rank damage and the wizards deal B-rank damage. Your partners take up to 10 hits of B-rank damage before going down. Take care that no one gets killed and have fun hunting.
*Another note: Magics with range abilities have a greater advantage over magics that have short ranges.

Reward: Normal B-rank EXP. 30k worth of jewels as a gift from the various leaders in the different nations for participating in their festivals and these various rewards gathered if you manage to finish the "hard" festivals:

    Spoiler:
Midi: If you complete Bushido Sensou:

    • The emperor will give you 10k jewels for showing just how formidable wizards are and will also include your name in his hall of great warriors.
    • One of your enemies, whether or not you've faced said person, will give you the jewel in his/her pendant, The River's Storm. The jewel is a sea blue treasure that he/she thinks is better suited for you. Its name, as you've been told, is The Serpent's Eye, and makes all your and two other allies' attacks 3x more effective in water battles and will allow you and your allies to walk on water for 10 posts, (effect usable once per thread). The item will not work in PVP. You'll be needing this to ease your way through another Midi-centered job: The Storm Looms

Seven: If you complete Rás Foraoise:

    • You will have a personal audience with the Queen and she'll personally hand you 10k jewels and the chance to converse with her in private.
    • The Griffin, whether or not you've rode it in the race, seems to have taken interest in you because of your sportsmanship and how you handled the race in general. It voluntary approaches you and hands you one of its feathers. Upon closer inspection, the feather has an uncanny golden sheen to it. The Griffin Feather is a unique item that will allow you and two other allies the ability to fly for the next 10 posts and will make you and two allies' attacks 3x more effective in aerial battles (effect is usable once per thread). Hang it on a pendant or tie it to your hat and you're good to go. The item will not work in PVP. You will be needing this to ease your way through another Seven-centered job: The Beast Cries

Joya: If you complete the Great Wyld Hunt:

    • The tribal leader of your group will award you with 10k jewels and your name going down in their stories as a great hunter, making you a legend amongst the coming generations.
    • The Joyan Tribal Warrior that you were grouped with has seen your might and bravery, he/she is impressed and thinks you are worthy of being gifted a special tribal treasure: The Grand Rainmaker, a hunting horn specially imbued with magic that when blown, can generate a cleansing rain that can heal you and several allies for 7.5% of your total HP so long as it keeps raining. The rain generated will last for 5 posts and can be used twice per thread. The horn cannot be used in PVP. You will need this to ease your way through another Joya-centered job: The Poison Lingers

Complete at least one of these and you also gain +1 Legendary Magic Item as a prize from Rozette Travels for taking up their offer and participating in these tournaments.

*NOTE: You can only choose to keep one of the unique items. Even if you somehow completed all three hard festivals, you can only choose one. Choose wisely.

Leila might be disappointed to find out that Jiyu did not have any demon’s chasing after her, but rather was chasing herself in circles. With all that had changed in her life? She was in an intense turmoil which she found nearly impossible to fight against, the sort of drowning waves that often took people’s lives right out from under them. Kazehime spent hours, every single second of the time of the ride to Joya, in her own room, locked in there and yelled at anyone who tried to disturb her. Jiyu spent hours screaming into her own pillow, nearly suffocating herself with it. Honestly the only thing she could do in order to not lose her sanity within the mess her life had become, was scream. When the muffled shouting stopped working, a growl came from her throat and she simply tore into the pillow with fangs and claws alike, the urge to just destroy something rising and not vanishing until her room was simply soaked in feather’s from her pillow’s, the blanket throw clear across the room, and one distinct set of claw marks torn into the sheets; Well crap how was she going to explain this one? Oh well the captain knew she had a temper, he would likely blame the minor damage on that, and heck he’d likely already set aside some money for repairs to be safe! Eliminating that worry as she heard the bell ring for docking, she smoothed down her dress and cape, finger’s making sure nothing was out of place as she stared at herself in the mirror. This time? She wouldn’t have time for any sort of shower, so she sprayed a light perfume to make sure she did not stink, even thought it was enough to make her nose scrunch up. Honestly? She liked body odors more than most perfume, someone’s natural scent was much easier on her nose that artificial scents, plus the way someone smelled said so much about them, she hated when such a thing was covered up, when information was denied to her.

The smartest thing to do would have been to dart off the ship before Leila could locate her, avoid the girl on this country and on the ride back. However, since this would be the last time they even had a chance at encountering each other, due to the wind mages own troubles? She did not take that path, but rather walked onto the deck, and glancing about to see if the other girl had disembarked already. If Leila was off the ship? She wouldn’t consume lots of time looking, but she owed the girl at least this much, especially with the secret she was keeping and what she intended to do when this trip was over. This whole thing was cruel, but Jiyu would rather slowly fade apart, than deal with the pain of unveiling herself only to be rejected by someone important. “Which festival then.” she spoke it out loud, sitting on the railing of the ship, legs swinging over the edge as she held her face in her hands, sighing as she considered her options.

Joya, the magical and tropical land of jungles and cat people. Leila woke up before they actually arrived to the appropriate place, but they were already past the mountains at that point. Just as she thought, it really was a little strange to be seeing this land again. Especially after everything that happened in the past, after her little tragic story. But she was still smiling, and that was the main thing. Life was better than ever, in fact. She was now confident enough to actually say that. She had friends and she was doing what she always wanted. Being mages, she had that dream for so long without even realizing her magical talent and the lost magic that was always residing inside of her body. And yet, there was still so much she had to learn about herself and her powers, it was ridiculous. Humans had it easy... they were born, birthed by other people and after growing up, getting old, they would die. Leila was different from humans in that aspect, this cycle was something completely foreign to her. Her origins were unknown and her fate as well, leaving her lost to wander the world for all eternity. And even though she had a solid lead, maybe there actually was no one that would hold the answers. The only thing she knew for sure was that higher forces were at play when the talk shifted to her being. Just the fact that she didn't actually belong to any known race was enough to confirm that. Not human, nor angel or demon... nothing in between or different. She was simply... unknown. All these thoughts triggered by simply watching the land drift below her helped her pass the remaining time before they were landing.

For that time, she went back inside of the ship to retrieve some of her belongings and mainly Ori who was still resting inside. These long transports always sapped all of his energy away, it was in a way similar to those popular dragon slayers who apparently always suffered from motion sickness and couldn't really travel with these vehicles. Or any at all, rather. They may have been powerful mages, but she surely didn't envy them that. After few moments, it was time for her to leave the ship. However, before she was able to do so, a certain mad in fancy suit stopped her. And Leila actually recognized him as well. He was part of the traveling agency that sent her here. He was present in the HQ when she arrived there. "Madam Leila Vergious, yes? On behalf of the agency, I'd like to thank you for taking our offer. Here is your reward and return ticket. Since the festival here in Joya is longer than the others, you may return whenever you want. I've also noticed that you travel along with Jiyu Kazehime... here is her share of the reward as well, please take it to her in my stead, as I have to return as soon as I can. Do enjoy the the Spring Goddess Festival and I hope to see you traveling with us in the future." With a respectful bow, the man left, leaving Leila with no chance to even reply to him. People from this agency sure were pleasant to work with. Well, that was one more worry gone now! The job was officially over and the two girls could enjoy themselves as much as they wanted. Spotting Jiyu sitting on the edge of the ship, Leila quickly jumped to her and gave her another pat on the back, probably strong enough to push her off the railing. "Hey, my sweetheart!" The greeting sure was energetic, but right after that, Leila's face became way more serious. "I'd like to ask if you're ready to enjoy the Spring Goddess festival... but there is something different I have to do while I'm here. Would you join me? It might take a while..."

Festivities, pt. IV [Job] Empty Re: Festivities, pt. IV [Job]

Post by Jiyu Kazehime on 20th September 2016, 10:28 am

She stood there in her hood and cape, dress masking everything that the cloak did not cover up. Jiyu was hidden, even thought she could be seen, the truth of her was invisible and that was the way she wanted this. If Leila never found out she was a half demon? The eden mage could never reject her for something that had been part of her since birth, even if it had been dormant up until recently. It was painful to her elfin ears to hear the other girls footsteps drawing closer, not only because it added to the stimulation that was too much on a daily basis, but because it felt like a pin ready to drop. Jiyu turned around a little too soon, trusting her now far superior senses, after her transformation there was no way her senses could be mistaken for human ones simply amplified. Yet, she couldn’t fight the instincts that rooted into them! Kazehime’s senses were her closest weapon because they could keep her from getting in trouble to begin with, with their current level, she could entirely avoid just about anything if she was paying attention. She scolded herself to wait longer before looking if something like this happened again, to hide her senses even though Leila knew about them, because if the other girl realized they had become stronger than she could figure things out!

“Sweet Heart?” oh damn, she couldn’t keep the distance she had been trying to keep with her emotional behavior, laughter suddenly breaking from her throat. Letting this relation fade away like she planned to do? Was going to be so hard to do, after so long of being alone or just trusting people as far as she could throw them, having friends was a relief. Losing one was going to hurt, even if it was by her own terms. “I don’t see why I shouldn’t join you.” it was hummed out, the female seemingly pacified for now, more like her old self than she had been on the prior two countries. If this truly was to be the last time like she intended? Than the memories, she needed to make them damn good for the sake of both herself and Leila. “I don’t get tired as easily as I used to, so even if it’s a long or far task, I should be alright.” that was one of the amazing things about her transformation, while her body was still weak when attacked, unless it was struck she had stamina again, nothing compared to what some other demons had, but it was enough for the woman. “Let’s go then~” she had let Leila’s push force her off the railing, besides there was no way her body was capable of fighting that! So she tossed one of her feather’s and let it catch her falling form, so that things would not look too unnatural as oppose to slowly descending and landing on her feet perfectly.

“Careful pushing me through, my stamina might have restored but it doesn’t mean my body is any stronger itself.” hopefully Leila would get she was referring to whatever left the burn marks, as Jiyu did not know if she’d told her friend how weak she actually was in the past.

Well, at least Jiyu felt a little bit better than before, or at least it appeared so from Leila's look. Compared to what they were doing before, this really was a joyful moment that allowed them to smile and laugh together. So it was kinda shame that what they would be doing soon simply had to bring tears. At least that was what Leila expected of herself, there was no way she could just go to their destination and remain completely calm without expressing her inner emotions externally at all. Something like that would surely be impossible for anyone if they found themselves in that exact same scenario. But they still had quite a bit of way ahead of them from this point, so it was relief to hear that Jiyu was up for it all with no problems. And if her words proved to be false, she would still carry the poor girl up the mountains! That was why friends existed, right? So that they could help each other with everything and in any situation that would arise. Watching as her friend gently moved towards the ground on her magical feather, Leila jumped from the flying ship as well, landing nearby.

"I hope you're ready for some rock climbing then! It really won't be easy, but this is something very important to me. So I would go even if you decided to not accompany me. I hope you understand..."

It was hard to describe in words what all this meant to her, as the scale was just too great. So to fully understand, she would have to see it. And she will, if she tags along for the entire journey. And so without further ado, Leila started marching forward. Thankfully the dock they were currently in wasn't that far from the edge of this nation and thus the mountains that they had to visit. But the road certainly wasn't easy, as this place was essentially a jungle on every step. But that was still relatively normal road compared to what was waiting for them.

"If you at any point need to take a break, just tell me. Even my stamina is not limitless, so it will be understandable. And the road is still at least few hours."

She really hoped that Jiyu had a plentiful breakfast and something to drink with her, as the road was abandoned and there really was no place they could get any supplies at all for now. Eventually they hit the start of mountains where the road of dirt transformed into rocks, leading straight up. It was probably a bit of a battle to get all the way up on foot, but when they eventually made it, they were greeted by an interesting sight. Something that resembled a clearing between mountains, a flat piece of rock that had a smaller hut in the middle. The building itself certainly seen better days, as the roof was completely collapsed and vines stated taking over the walls, both outside and inside. Even the door was barely holding together. There was also a grave next to the house, it's sign not visible from this site. With heavy breaths, Leila stood at one spot in front of the scenery before she turned to Jiyu with a big smile.

"Alright, seems like we made it. Sheesh, it's really something without horse that would take you up..."

If Leila wanted to perceive her as feeling better? Than it was all the better for the half demoness, it meant less to worry about so long as she could keep up the masquerade. Jiyu would have no trouble tricking her friend, after-all that was what she had been doing most of her life, making sure everyone saw a little girl who was alright, instead of the woman who was losing her mind. Kazehime had been frightened and shunned into keeping her thoughts to herself, keeping the smile plastered onto her face and even when she didn’t want to have it, like right now, to never let her face reduce to tears, prevent things from going that far. The only thing she knew well, that was to preserve everything to her best interest. So even if she was falling to shambles inside, screaming at herself to find another way besides this, the girl kept laughing alongside Leila, bright eyed as she walked a little closer, hips swaying beneath her cloak with her movement. “Who said I have to walk?” the girl spoke up, smirking slightly as the feather started floating in the direction Leila had walked off in, urging her transport to catch up to the other girl.

It was a sight, to see someone laying on their side on a giant nearly six foot long feather. If she laid on her back? Leila might see her tail. Thus the wind user laid on her side, facing her friend, to ensure all her demon features remained hidden. “Walking is for people who can’t float.” her voice rose playfully, as she toyed with her long hair which laid down over her torso in this position, dangling off the feather, finger’s twined into it. This continued on a road nearly undeveloped, and she nearly drifted off, letting the wind navigate her, control her feather and guide her safely. However eventually Leila’s voice rung her awake once more, sleepy beautiful eyes blinking softly as she yawned.

“I’m fine, haven’t expended any energy yet basically. Rest if you need thought~” her voice trailed off into something that sounded like a playful whine before she truly woke up and sat straight on the feather, head angled down somewhat. Being jolted so close to sleep, was a good thing, but it still did not make it any easier.

Only once they arrived at the top? Jiyu slid off her feather, looking at Leila “You know you could have rode with me?” the female said, chuckling slightly, that was likely something she should have mentioned sooner, but she didn’t. For now? The feather returned to normal size in the girls palm and she tucked it back into her hood with the other two.

Jiyu sure was cheeky and crafty. Well, it was useful, that little feather of hers. No use denying that... and just like that, Leila could only watch with envy as her friend didn't have to move a single muscle in order to traverse this harsh land. It was probably a pretty weird sight from afar, seeing as one girl with strange silver hair walked through the jungle and another, heavily clothed girl floated on a giant feather next to her.

"Yes, well... not everyone can, I'm afraid. Some of us are simply rooted to the ground."

She replied to her, referencing her magic as she did. Indeed she had no way of floating or flying herself and her magic mostly required her feet to be touching the ground in order to work as well. So there was not much they could truly do about it. And thinking about fitting on that feather with her friend, they would have to be basically hugging one another to make that happen. While they were friends, that was something they probably should not actually do. Leila's heart would surely not make it through that without harm. And so they continued traveling towards the mountains without stopping for a bit. She did say that they could rest... but they didn't, even though the fatigue was slowly getting to her. But it was her own body, and she wanted to visit that place as soon as possible. She would stop if it was for Jiyu, but not for herself. And so, they arrived. And as she was regaining her breath, she tried to laugh at her friends's words as well, which was probably a bad idea as only a bad wheezing came out of her.

"You forgot already? It seemed that you were doing your best to make some distance between us, if I was to be on that feather with you, it would completely ruing that plan of yours, whatever it is. Besides, you never offered~!"

She tried to play it off as a joking speech, but there was something very serious in that. Leila noticed how her friend acted this whole time, there was no way she would not. And like this, she would let Jiyu know that fact. But that was something that should not interrupt them, not now anyway. Leila's gaze was fixated on only one single thing, that being the collapsed cottage. And without any words, she moved towards it, eventually placing the palm of her hand on one of the barely standing walls. The texture was rough, definitely not friendly for touch at all. And the faded green paint only seemed like a sad memory now. She still remembered how they painted this abode together. Green for the nature, the best and most important thing in this whole wide world. Somehow, it placed a gentle smile on her face. And after that, she stepped in front of the cross that was on the side of the house, in front of the grave. Just from a single look, it was more than clear that this was made by no professional. It was done by someone who never buried anyone before and with intense tears in their eyes. With respect in her movement, she kneeled down and looked at what was written on the cross.

    'Best father in the world'

The writing was pretty messy too. And yet, it had many emotions behind it. And while reading it, tears slowly started appearing in Leila's eyes, eventually making their way down her cheeks. Her hand traced over the grave that was made out of stone and dirt, her lips slowly opening to speak.

"I'm home... sorry to make you wait so long, dad..."

Festivities, pt. IV [Job] Empty Re: Festivities, pt. IV [Job]

Post by Jiyu Kazehime on 28th September 2016, 4:00 pm

“Being grounded is over rated.” she had once been a grounded little girl, a little bit whimsical and dreamy for sure, but fairly grounded and she had been growing up well. Yet, for the last several years the wind mage had been up in the air, more of a wild child than some grounded good girl. The only thing being rooted had gotten her in the past was pain, so she was just fine being above the ground like this, it made her feel safe in a strange way. There was really no reason to think on any of it at the moment, that would only cause her brain trouble once more and that was the last thing she needed these days, especially with the current situation.

It was when she realized why they were in this place so high up in the mountains, at that time the woman wished she had let her mind go into deep thought. Maybe if she had something to actively be thinking of when her eyes met the cross, the engraving, sight of it all? It was possible her mind would not have flashed back so badly, that she wouldn’t have started getting wet eyed along her soon to be ex-friend, would not have moved to bend beside Leila. Jiyu intended to put more distance between them, simply make these last memories good, but her current memories were overwhelming logic. Kazehime’s body moved of it’s own accord, bending down behind Leila and wrapping her arms around the other girl, pressing her nose into white hair, inhaling. The only thing’s in the half demonesses sight? Her own mother, who was dead just like Leila’s father was. “I’m not going to say anything.” she couldn’t, nothing could make that pain better, Jiyu knew it already from personal experience. No matter what she desired, regardless of her wishes, the only thing there was to do, would be to hold the eden mage like this.

“I already know.” she had to pick the right words, but none of it was coming to her as she scooted slightly closer, wrapping her arms tighter. Nothing was stated as she let her chest began to rumble, making a noise that humans could achieve, but it was weird for them to make anyways. “Nothing helps.” her voice faded off.
