    THE JOB:

Job Title: Rise of the Syndicate
    Rank: A
Player Requirements: At least two A rank wizards or equivalent
Job Requirements: 50 posts of 500 words each. Every executive must be rolled and defeated before job can be completed.
    Job Location: Crescent Island
Job Description: Help us!!! Recently a new dark guild has risen with boasts of incredible power and resources! They call themselves Syndicate, after a mighty and terrifying guild from over a century past, and have declared war against the magic council, the king of fiore, and all legal guilds. Their first target is Crescent Island, a resort island full of civilians and peaceful people, with no defense of its own! They are seeking to send a message to the guilds of just what they are capable of. Please, drive these savages away from our shores and save our people!

    Enemies:
Weak: Low rank soldiers of the guild, these punks wear no armor but are naturally tough and resilient. They require  2 B ranks worth of damage to go down and deal  rank damage with their swords. They usually appear in packs of about twenty and there are an estimated total of four hundred of them roaming around the island.

Normal: Low rank executives. Each normal monster roll you choose one that shows up. These mages range from simple B rank mages up to S. Once all are defeated, if you roll another normal monster, you may choose either a swarm of weak opponents or one strong monster.

Dellinger Donquixote, a B rank leg mage. Leg mage, you think, that doesn't sound hard. You would be surprised. Dellingers specialty is the ability to strengthen his legs by ridiculous amounts. Capable of generating two tons worth of force with one kick at this point, he is fast, can headbutt opponents and skewer them with his horns by leaping headfirst at them, and his legs are just naturally powerful. Requires 4 B ranks worth of damage to be defeated.
    Spoiler:

Lao G Donquixote, an A rank pain mage. He may not be much to look at but Lao G is considered to be one of the most dangerous martial artists in the world, and age has only made him better. Surprisingly fast, shockingly strong, and able to make others feel pain, either his own or to relive a pain they knew in the past, this old man is guaranteed to be a pain in the ass. Pun intended. Requires two A ranks worth damage to defeat.
    Spoiler:

Broly the headsman, an S rank splitter mage. On his way to being a top executive, Broly is a threat to almost any one. His axe can split anything, opponents, spells, people, he does not care. Perhaps most annoying however is his ability to split himself to dodge attacks. Add in his ridiculous physical strength and his extremely high stamina and he is a force to be reckoned with. Requires 4 S ranks worth of damage to be defeated.
    Spoiler:
    His axe
    Spoiler:

Gladius Donquixote, an A rank rupture mage. Unlike the other executives Gladius is accompanied by fifty weak ranked soldiers, being the commander of those forces. Besides being able to make the magic within others, and items, explode he also carries on his wrists two small launchers. These launchers are armed with magically replicating magical crystals which he can fire at targets and make explode. Capable of hitting targets up to five hundred feet away with pin point accuracy, the crystals themselves deal D rank damage but can be fired twenty in one post, ten from each wrist, each turn. It requires two 4 A ranks worth of damage to defeat him.
    Spoiler:

Machvice Donquixote, an S rank weight mage. Weight magic may not sound tough to the unaware, but that's what Machvise likes. He is capable of controlling his own weight, able to make himself weigh nothing in order to reach incredible heights with one jump, and then able to reach a maximum weight of five hundred thousand pounds, more than enough to flatten almost any opponents, and the next three or four blocks around them. He can also change the weight of inanimate objects, individual body parts, carries around a massive, self repairing shield, and is an accomplished sumo wrestler. His shield can take one H ranks worth of damage a turn before being made useless for the rest of the round and Machvise himself requires two S ranks worth of damage.
    Spoiler:

Strong: Mid rank executives. When you roll this choose one of the four provided and do combat with them. Once defeated you do not have to face them again and if you roll a strong after defeating all four you may choose any other executive.

Diamante Donquixote, an S rank flap wizard. His unique magic allows him to turn anything into a cloth or tissue paper, which can be rehardened and reused later on. While this may sound pointless the possibilities are endless. Throw confetti into the air, which then hardens into spiked balls dropping on your opponent. Turn a sailing ship into a flapping piece of paper long enough to place it over your opponents head and then drop it. Turn your cape into an iron shield. Even change your own body! Prefering the up close and personal touch of a sword, opponents should be wary of this opponent. Requires 4 S ranks worth of damage to be taken down.
    Spoiler:

Pica Donquixote, an S rank stone mage of considerable size and power. Standing in at ten feet tall, this soprano voiced behemoth is as capable with his gigantic sword as he is with his magic of the stones. Capable of shaping stone into anything he wishes, using it as spears from the ground, forming gigantic replicas of himself, or even blending into the stone entirely this is one nasty, and tough, customer to deal with. Requires 4 S rank damage to defeat.
    Spoiler:

Trebol Donquixote, an S rank Sticky Mage. Sticky? Whats that? It is a goo, a nasty, foul smelling, highly explosive, goo. Trebol is made of the stuff, from his head, constantly dripping snot, to his feet, constantly leaving a trail. Perhaps the most difficult of the executives, Trebol is almost immune to all physical attacks, this includes iron, water, wind, or the piercing effects of light and shadow type attacks. Add to this his ungodly strength, able to lift small houses with ease, and his ability to increase the amount of goo in the area, thus increasing his own size, he will be a very difficult opponent to hurt. Requires 4 S rank damage to defeat, approach with caution.
    Spoiler:

Vergo Donquixote, an S rank Density mage. Capable of changing the density of his own body at will, Vergo will prove quite the challenge to all. Capable of changing his skin from a sword shattering black carbon, which increases his strength exponentially, to becoming just a wisp in the wind, capable of ignoring all but wind type attacks, the most difficult part of this opponent will just be harming him. Requires 4 S rank damage to defeat.
    Spoiler:
Boss: Top tier executive. The man in charge of this whole Shindig, the bossman himself, Donquixote Doflamingo, an SS ranked string wizard capable of creating clones made from string, binding his opponents, stitching his wounds, controlling the fallen, or simply slicing up targets. He requires a total of 3 H rank damage to be defeated and once he is rolled all executives that have not yet been defeated will also appear to join him. For once hope you DONT get the boss roll early on.
    Spoiler:

Reward: Double A rank exp and 100k jewels

It was a day like any other. Except it was not at all. A ton of things happened in the past week without relenting. The Rune Knights, which were run by the Magic Council, were found to be guilty of corruption in the higher ranks of the order. Fiore's King ordered a Purge on the organization and the ones who were to carry that out were known as the Garou Knights. Hero himself was requested an audience with by an officer from that organization. Though the giant answered the call, he did not accept the invitation to join their ranks. The reason for that? Yamamoto felt that an organization led by royalty was ultimately doomed to corruption eventually and he did not want to commit to a faction that was not going to hold true to their ideals. Hero wanted something more than that, though he did not know or understand what it was he wanted. He did know though that he wanted the strength to genuinely protect those that are, or would be, close to him. That was the main thing spurring him forward currently.

After that whole thing happened, he continued to get mail from their organization regarding the Rune Knights and such though there was nothing substantial yet that drew the giant's attention. Meanwhile, his cousin Elyx had the man go on a little trip for him into this active volcano for a treasure chest. Yeah. Sounds fun, doesn't it? Hero was in there for about an hour and a half before he finally found it, though it was not that simple. It was slightly confusing as well, considering what happened. At first, there was Elyx who wanted to challenge him to get the chest by getting through him first. That was fine and all, but then another Elyx appeared. Yes, there were two of them but then it went downhill from there. The Elyx who had arrived second knocked the other Elyx on the head and then that Elyx poofed into a woman. The woman was explained to be the real Elyx's girlfriend and that she liked playing pranks on unsuspecting people. The man had already figured that something was off about the first Elyx but he never would have thought it was a shape-shifting tanuki woman. After all that nonsense, his cousin explained the reasons behind why he wanted Yamamoto to take this little game of a request and it made at least some sense, though it would have been easier to just ask. The giant had no legitimate reason to deny the offer from his cousin so he accepted and thus joined the legal guild, Golden Phoenix. Hero also obtained an empty bottle from the chest; Elyx said that a good friend of his wanted to know what lava tasted like and wanted the giant to fill the bottle with some lava and take it to the friend. There was a problem with that though: he had no idea where to find that person. His only clue was that she worked as the guild's bartender when she was not out on jobs.

The bottle of lava was still in his house out of sight and it was likely going to stay that way until he knew exactly where to find that friend. If this person was a friend of Elyx, chances were high that they were also very strong though that of course was only conjecture. After that day, it was actually pretty quiet. Since there was no guild hall yet according to Elyx, there was no way for the man to know where that friend lived or worked, which meant he had to either wait for his cousin to give him another hint or try and search for them by going on some pilgrimage to every city and town in Fiore. He was NOT going to do the latter for the sake of one person whom he had never met before. Unfortunately, Hero was not kind enough to do something like that without some more legitimate reason than "they want to know what lava tastes like". There was one thing however that he deduced from that. The friend must have been a Slayer of some type and he also figured that they had to be a Fire Slayer. However, there were three known types of Slayers that they could have been; they were distinctly different in the way the types obtained their power. It was simply a matter that the man was not willing to handle just yet.

Just the day after that, his cousin threw him under the bus metaphorically speaking. Granted he ended up not being alone for the entire ordeal but it was pretty intense. I mean... it was not every day one got to take on a horde of ravenous, bloodthirsty werewolves on a Perfect Moon with three other people until the sun came up. That was a really intense night, though he and the others managed to get through the night with non-lethal injuries, save for himself whom was covered in bruises from the smacks he took by that behemoth of a beast in the village. It would have been a lot worse, had the alpha not been assaulted by a mob of its own kin during the battle. When the sun finally came up, all of the turned villagers returned to normal and the group of four people were thanked by the village elders who knew it was going to happen from the start. All in all, it turned out to be another invaluable experience for the giant.

Then the day after that, which was also pretty fun, he and a fellow guild mate named Luna Jaeger went treasure hunting out in the Ancient Ruins. It did not take us too long to get to the bottom of the whole ideal and found this guy Harper Goldenshine to be extremely troublesome. He was also searching for this treasure and was found to be wanting the treasure for darker intentions, which Hero could not allow. He and the woman found the treasure and then left with Harper in tow to inform local authorities on the matter; later that day, Yamamoto was informed that the Magic Council was thankful for their efforts in protecting the sanctity of the deceased Wizard Saint's tomb. It was a good feeling to do good deeds for the sake of tomb preservation. A thought also crossed his mind while at the ruins. Why were those ruins such a hotspot for all these different occurrences? It was at the very least strange and the giant was very interested in finding out what it was all about.

Then there was the matter of the friend of Elyx's he was supposed to find on his own. He did end up eventually finding her on an island off the coast of the mainland, Crescent Island the resort, and goodness she was a beauty. It was at first strange to watch her drink down that bottle of lava like it was some kind of alcohol. Though the thought was a little funny and ironic because the friend was a bartender. Turns out the friend was also a woman, in case one had not noticed. Long blonde hair and the kind of body that just about anyone would fall to their knees for. The more important thing was getting that lava to her though so that was a success at the very least. Her name was Venir RuLush and she was an S-class wizard part of the same guild as he, Golden Phoenix. Hero himself was on vacation yesterday, so most of the time was simply spent at the resort talking with the woman. Nothing else happened which was a good change of pace for the giant whom was so busy the last couple of weeks.

Today? Well actually, the day had not ended yet. The giant was still on Crescent Island with that woman, Venir, whom was getting changed into more appropriate attire. Now, why was he still here? Well, earlier into the day, Hero had pulled a chair from under some drunk man to keep a waitress from falling to the ground. As it turned out, that drunkard was actually a member of a Dark Guild that must have been somewhere on the island. He figured this because the guy had a guild insignia on his arm that he did not recognize. Being a retired Rune Knight, the man was well-acquainted with both Legal and Independent guilds and it was not any of the noted Dark Guilds he had read about before. Simple deduction skills led him to believe it was a covert Dark guild that had been more silent-moving than others. Hero could not in good conscience let this guild roam free so that was brought him to the current time, waiting outside the bar for Venir to finish getting changed. I would have preferred her stay in that bikini... he thought to himself, though it did not bother him. Professionalism ended up being far more important to Hero than really anything else.

Heat cannot be separated from fire, or beauty from The finite.

Having left Hero to his own devices, Venir returned to the bar that was her temporary job at Crescent island. Luckily, there was a number of bartenders already working there, and though Venir was scheduled she was not necessarily needed. After explaining the situation to the owner of the bar, he had let her off with hardly even a complaint. It was to be expected, he knew of her occupation, as well as strengths when he had hired her. A high ranking mage who had gone on a number of difficult jobs was bound to receive a request or two despite already working at a bar. Not to mention the potential threat of a dark guild on the island was enough to have him readily agree into letting her go. Dark guilds were bad business and would drive customers away, so if he had to lose one bartender for a day so that she could go take care of the problem, he would willingly let her go without any protest.

"Annnnnnd that's the end of my vacation I guess..."

Venir let out an audible sigh as she was in the changing rooms for the bar. A month or two of not having to participate in any sort of jobs was nice. Her last mission had been a tiring one, saving the world typically did that to a mage. "Well...." She stretched, her back popping pleasantly, "Let's hope I'm not too rusty." With that she shut the locker containing her stuff. Most of her usual gear was back at her home, so all she had was what she brought with her to work. While her usual job going clothes were comfortable, they probably would have been a bit much while on the island. Her usual manner of dress screamed, "mage" so at the least she looked a little bit more like a resident making any potential investigating easier. Clad in a worn pair of boots, and dark short to match, Venir was nearly completely dressed save for the bikini top that she still sported. It wasn't as if she had any armor, nor did she need it. Flame body's had some use despite being particularly troublesome when dealing with anything flammable...

    ~*~

    "Oiiiiii!"
She jogged back over to her recently discovered guild mate, waving her hand as well to hopefully snag his attention. Hero himself was fairly easy to spot, he stood at least a head taller than most of the crowd, and was big to match. Venir on the other hand had a bad habit of getting lost in a crowd. Once reunited that left the pair with the struggle of figuring out where to begin their investigation. It wasn't the first time that Venir had to look for signs of a dark guild, and it certainly wasn't gonna be the last time either. However, they had a whole island to search. Figuring she ought to take the lead the young woman seemed in thought for a moment before speaking up,

"I guess we just look for some suspicious activity? Anyone making a scene or being shady?"

When Leila completed contract alongside another person, it was usually a case of meeting them by chance or asking them for the opportunity to tag along. Which made her appearance in the guild's halls quite unusual. Even though she was member of the Golden Phoenix for quite some time now, she was still mostly stranger to this place. And honestly, she just wanted to take a small look around before getting outta there. Of course someone would snatch that opportunity from under her nose. Apparently there was a very reliable information about two other members suddenly going against entire dark guild. Even if they were strong wizards, it was unthinkable to some that they would just decide to do something like that. And for god knows what reason, someone in the guild decided that Leila should go and help them. Why her? Why now? If she actually got any answers, then it probably wouldn't really be Golden Phoenix. The guild had scary accurate system of getting info too if they knew what all the members were currently doing. Or maybe they knew thanks to some other reason, truly, who really knew at this point. Getting any real information out of Elyx was pretty much impossible as well, as she never really saw the guild master around. The last time they met was when she actually joined. And that was already some time back. Regardless of the situation, she now had to play the third wheel and help those two. She didn't even know them, though that probably meant new friends. Possibly... with her charms, it could also mean new enemies, but that's why all this was so much fun! Apparently they were located on Crescent Island. Through the teleporter back into the mountains, it wasn't actually too far away. Still had to travel a while, but she eventually saw the island in the distance.

The only problem was getting there. Since the actual place was a popular recreation center, all the boats were always full. And since this job was somewhat urgent, there was no way Leila could just wait for a free spot on one of these ships. There was the possibility of her renting one just for herself... but why should she waster her own jewels on something like that. Of course, swimming was also out of the question, as it would take too long. And who knew what manner of monstrosities lived in the water between the island and the land she was currently standing one. "Ugh, this is annoying... oh well, might as well try out a new trick!" Despite everything, she was still a mage. And not exactly a weak one. Her abilities to control Eden's garden were pretty solid at this point, and she had no problem summoning a whole lot of it when she wasn't under the pressure of battle. With some concentration and snap of fingers, a whole bunch of flexible trees and roots formed from the ground, taking rather peculiar shape. With vines acting as rope and trees acting as... well... wood, a big object was soon constructed. Something that people often called 'catapult'. Though it looked somewhat rickety, Leila's magic was holding it in one piece without any problems. With a big smile of victory on her face, she jumped right into the device and started holding her top hat firmly. "Alrighty! Crescent Island, here I come!" With those words, few of her vines snapped on purpose and without any delay, the girl was flying through the air at dangerous speed. If anyone ever had the question if a catapult could shoot one object to another piece of land across the sea, she just answered it. At least the beach was filled with sand and her own body pretty resilient. "Outta the waaaaay!" With a warning scream, she made sure people would evacuate before she created a small crater in the beach. And who would have thought, she landed just few meters away from Hero and Venir. Crawling out of the pit, she would wave at them with a hurt smile. Honestly, this was way more fun than catching murderers. And if the two of them were looking for something suspicious, girl falling from the sky would probably be up there somewhere.

To Hero's silent delight, Venir walked back out with her bikini top still the only piece of clothing on her upper body which was a sight to behold. However, Hero did not know why exactly he was so keen on these thoughts. He was a grown man after all. Surely seeing a young woman dressed like that was not such a big cause for attention. Then again, these reactions could have easily been attributed to the past month. Ever since he met his cousin the man was changing bit by bit in the ways he thought of things. Until now for instance he never saw a woman in this manner before and now he was thinking like someone who was unprofessional. Of course, it was not a problem since he was an adult whom kept such thoughts to himself and did not let said thoughts influence his actions or decisions. Venir was a... very beautiful woman to say the least. He caught his eyes wandering for a brief moment and then snapped himself away before it could be noticed. The young woman then asked how they should proceed. That was a good question but Yamamoto already had an answer.

"Simple. We do nothing. That man I threw out of the bar already went to get his buddies, by my calculations. I'll handle whatever comes at us and then whoever remains will call for back-up, thus forcing the Dark Guild out of hiding. It would be a waste of time trying to find a guild that is trying to remain hidden after all."

It made sense. When drunk, the most common course of action was to get help if they got into a fight they could not handle. The giant, after a moment of silence, began walking more toward the shoreline when he heard something loud headed in the direction of the island. It sounded like something was flying through the air and it was not some small thing; then in the distance he saw that something flying through and realized it was a person. Why was a person flying through the air like that? Did they not have Jewel to take a vehicle across? That was no longer important though as Hero was eventually able to identify who it was that was headed toward him. He stepped twice to the right casually and a couple moments later, that person landed on the sandy surface. Yamamoto knew her in passing among other guild mates as Leila Vergious, a rising wizard in Golden Phoenix. The question now was this: why was she here? The girl could not have known about the Dark Guild here since Hero had only just found out himself. Even more so, she could not have known that the two wizards were on the island. Then again, that did not matter either at this point. He and Venir needed assistance wherever they could attain it.

"Interesting way to get to the island, Leila Vergious. Unfortunately there is no time for pleasantries or questions. It looks like my hypothesis earlier was correct, Venir."

Moments after the girl arrived, a large mob of people in strange uniforms were walking toward their position. Hero's demeanor changed completely from what it was only minutes ago. He became focused on the task at hand and that change could probably felt, due to the ethernano in the surrounding area slowly seeping into the giant's body. A few minutes passed while the group moved slowly toward them but eventually they stopped and there were two people in the front. Yamamoto recognized one of them as the drunkard he threw out of the bar but the other one looked tougher than the others. That one must have been one of the veteran members of the guild, whatever name it was. The drunk pointed at Hero; it seemed he was telling the other that he was the one who threw him and then the veteran talked aloud.

"I have been told that you caused trouble for this underling. We are the Syndicate, a Dark Guild that works in the shadows. My name is Gladius. You will learn your place right now."

What Dark guild was stupid enough to announce themselves and their names, if they apparently worked from the shadows? This guy must have been one of the less smart members as well. The giant walked forward at a casual pace while gathering ethernano into his right arm and he spoke in a serious tone in retort to the enemy faction.

"Thank you for telling me who you work for, Gladius. We three will be taking you all in for any crimes you have committed as a Dark guild."

The giant continued walking toward the mob but steadily his body tensed up and his facial expression became one that was set on eliminating everything in front of him. Hero was not the type of man who wasted time talking to his target; he already knew what he had to do in order to draw out the rest of the guild and this punch was going to do it. Yamamoto was perhaps five meters away from the group when he cocked his right arm back and took a stance with his left leg placed in front.

The veteran looked at Yamamoto with a raised eyebrow as he took his stance and underestimated what the giant was actually doing. The enemy then ordered the mob to run in and attack which was a bad idea, not that he knew that. Hero then threw his right fist forward as a straight punch when the front line of the group was only a meter away; a giant wave of pressure was flung at the group at the speed of the thrown punch and blew away nearly all of them, save for a few in the very back. Even the veteran was blown back by the pressure, though he was able to stand back up from it. The guy looked like he had seen a ghost in all honesty. After throwing said punch, he placed his left hand on his right shoulder and stretched it out. Then the giant began walking forward again, not worrying about the two women whom were somewhere near him. He spoke again then, with the same serious tone as before.

"If you have any intention of bringing us down, I suggest you gather your entire guild. We will remove you all at once."

At the giant's threat, Gladius ran off with the remaining members of the mob in the opposite direction. He sighed quietly then and let his arms drop to his sides in a relaxed fashion before speaking to the two girls.

"We should tie all of these people up to ensure that none of them escape the island. This was only the introductory wave, I'm certain."

Heat cannot be separated from fire, or beauty from The finite.

    "You'll handle whatever comes up?"

She raised a golden brow in question, not necessarily skeptical but not exactly sounding pleased either. There were some issues in which Venir would have gladly brought up. Unfortunately, before Venir could even open her mouth, something or rather someone had fallen from the sky. At their call to get out of the way, Venir did just that. She took a few large steps back just in time as the person collided with the sand, a plummet of it heading into the air. "Ow." She shielded her eyes from the dust in the air, pitying the person and their landing. Venir herself was prone to such disastrous and painful landings but usually fire was thrown into the mix. Out of the person sized crater came a girl, with a pained smile, and wave to match.

"Well, that's suspicious but hardly the dark guild we're looking for."

While, Hero seemed to know the girl who had landed, Venir did not. The flame slayer wasn't around for most guild functions, not that their actual guild hall was really completed yet, nor was Venir's training as a bartender. It was only natural that she couldn't recognize fellow members just yet. Especially, when they fell from the sky. "You okay?" Moving closer to the small crater, Venir offered a hand to the other girl. There may not have been time for pleasantries but that wouldn't stop Ven from trying to help a fellow crash-lander out of a pit. Not that it seemed to matter much as the uniform clad mob approached. Luckily, or unluckily Hero seemed to have a hold on the situation, sort of. While he had taken a great number of the enemies out, Venir's ears couldn't perk up at a certain set of words.

    "Hold it right there."

Hands placed firmly on her hips the young woman seemed irritated to say the least. "Introductory wave my ass, you just told them to bring their whole guild here." She frowned, not caring that she had to crane her neck to look up at him as she lectured. "Last I checked we don't want a war occurring out here in the open, where there's lots of innocent bystanders, and property that could be destroyed." It wasn't that Ven was usually one to think through situations. Normally, she was the first to rush in first, but if there was slightest chance that someone or something could get hurt or destroyed because of her again? Then the young woman would always pause and think the situation through.

"Yeah we should tie these guys up and then either evacuate these people or move to a less inhabited location."

Well, maybe it wasn't the best idea to be catapulted over a sea and onto this island. Sure, the sandy beaches actually worked as a solid cushion, but eating sand was not exactly something very nice and what you would do willingly. And of course some of it got into Leila's mouth when she landed like that. Spitting it out a little before she even registered reactions from those two, it probably wasn't the best first impression ever. Or maybe it actually was, showing just how awesome she is when she can enter the scene in fashion like this one! And it certainly caught attention of the two fellow members of Golden Phoenix that she was here to meet, as they both verbally acknowledged her. As far as Leila was concerned, that meant she was pretty successful in what she wanted to do. Although Yamamoto's response was way too formal for her taste.

"Everything's fine! Nothing broken or anything, no need to worry!"

Responding to the girl's voice of concern, she would accept her hand that helped her get out of that shallow sandy grave of hers. And once she was standing on her two feet again, she would do a little bow while tipping her top hat towards this fiery-looking gal. After all, it was not everyday that she was rescued form a crater by a beauty such as this! Formally introducing herself to the lady should increase her chances as well.

"As Yamamoto over there said, name's Leila Vergious. A traveling mage that is currently also a member of Golden Phoenix! Pleased to meet you. Also, Yami~! Calling me by my full name like that, it sounds weird~!

Shouting over to hero as if she knew him for a while not, she started mildly complaining. From what she heard earlier, this was just how he acted, but it was kinda disturbing. After all, she was a very friendly character and someone like that just threw her out of that lovely balance she had. It was shame that there really wasn't much time for anything more, as he also alerted the enemy that they were meant to defeat over here.

"Oh, that's right! The reason I'm here is to help you guys. Someone in the guild managed to get the info that you two found a dark guild, and apparently two people are not enough for that kind of job. So here I am, to help!"

But even though she was here to help, she wasn't exactly too thrilled about binding defeated guys so that they would not run. That job was lame, she was here to fight! That said, she also agreed with the words of the blondie, it would be pretty problematic if civilians got in their way. Especially with magic that had tendencies to hit large areas and destroy anything and everything. Which was clearly both her's and Hero's problem right now. After all, wiping a whole squad of guys with one punch did say something about his strength. And the range he had, if something like that was to injure someone not involved in all this, Golden Phoenix would start drowning in unnecessary paperwork. And those responsible would probably have to clean the dirty toilets of the entire underwater city. Definitely not something pleasant that Leila would want to go through, not at all.
